Family came in for brunch on a rainy morning. They have an outdoor line of chairs along the restaurant entrance which would have been nice to sit at on a nicer day. The interior is a classic 50's diner vibe and the food matches. Get a couple things to share as the portions are massive and you'll fill up quicker than you think they will. They are have NYC prices too so splitting those is always good too. We'll definitely be back.

I don't understand these good reviews. Worst food ever. Nothing like the ads. The a/c didn't work,screaming kids, strollers all over the place. My corned beef was like tasteless shoe leather. The cheese covered this tasteless excuse for corned beef. The side salad with the awful hot house tomatoes was mostly cucumbers. Never ever again EVER!

If you love 1950 retro diners, you have to check out this brand new NYC spot!! Loved the vibe, the food and the friendly, excellent staff!!

Disappointingly bland. Food was not well cooked. Home fries had zero flavour. Omelette was not tasty as the eggs felt like a scramble

Went here for early Sunday breakfast due good write ups. Floor staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. the place was spotlessly clean. Food was great and large portions. Also good coffee. The only downside, there was a woman, not in uniform (cowboy boots??) either manager or owner, walking around picking fault with the way the table had been set, the mat outside the door was wrong, telling the staff to straighten the knives and forks. I hate this. They were doing a great job and she comes in and starts nitpicking. So focused on the irrelevant stuff that she passed our table, twice, with our dish's clearly ready for clearing and didn't stop to take them. Left a big tip for what they have to put up with. To that lady, you are not helping. Your staff know what they are doing so leave them at it. You only make them nervous and it looks highly unprofessional.

Diner24 serves large portions of bland food. Service was slapdash. The manager, in particular, was rude and hostile to a member of our table. I will not return.

I thought this was going to be a great New York Diner. We were disappointed. First my wife ordered a simple grilled cheese and soup. The soup tasted like marinara mixed with cream. The grilled cheese is all bread and hard cheese. I ordered a steak and mac and cheese sandwich. Dry no flavor. It was a large sandwich but tasted like nothing. The fries aren’t even seasoned.

A real dinner like there's very little left in NYC. Salty or sweet, you will find all the specialties to start the day or brunch and. Be careful, the portions are extremely hearty, so be reasonable when ordering. Retro decor. Super attentive service. New York prize.

This is a great diner if you love milkshakes. They have non alcholic and alcoholic milkshakes. While their menu is extensive, their food was OK. I ordered the Turkey burger with fries. The burger had absolutely no salt and the fries in the little basket was minimal. This is a "one and done," Diner for the experience.

We recently brought a group of 60 students to Diner 24, and I cannot say enough about how well they accommodated us. The entire experience was seamless. From the moment we walked in, everything was incredibly well organized. The food was delicious, the service was warm and attentive, and the staff handled our large group with such grace and friendliness. The kids couldn’t stop talking about it.They said it was the best lunch they’ve ever had! That kind of reaction speaks volumes. A huge thank you to the entire team at Diner 24 for making the day so special and memorable. We’ve also dined here without students, and every time, the experience is consistently excellent. The menu is packed with variety, the quality is top-notch, and the atmosphere feels like a true neighborhood classic. We need more places like Diner 24 reliable, welcoming, and just plain good. Saw this place on Instagram...... Great greeting on arrival Plenty of staff who were all attentive and friendly. Water topped up regularly and so was the refil soda. We decided to have food and the milkshake as our pudding I had a salad - massive and very tasty 😋 My husband had a burger and chips which he approved of We then went for the milkshakes....which include ice cream and cake on top ....we left feeling sooooooooo full!!!

What a fun place! Dropped in for dinner for a birthday celebration and they put out the red carpet for us! Super friendly staff who was VERY accommodating and who takes care of you without being intrusive! The food came out timely, hot and delicious - everything from the appetizers to the dessert was excellent! You won't go wrong ordering anything. Handicapped accessible and just a great visit! Go and enjoy!

This spot corresponds to its characteristics: it’s a very good dinner to have a meal in. And the server was very to nice to us.

Came to NYC to visit college student granddaughter. She picked this place, and it was a home run. It was late for me, but the staff greeted us warmly, and seated us promptly. The menu had a wide selection, with breakfast served all day. The whole staff genuinely made sure our experience was top-notch. Their milk shake menu was the most varied I had seen. I had the chicken parmesan sandwich; it was huge! I barely ate half of it, but my granddaughter took it back to her room to eat later. This was my first experience in NYC, and it was a winner. If I ever go back, I'll retrun. I thought I was back at Seinfeld's Monk Cafe....

A great place for breakfast we visited 3 times over our New Years stay and the food was great! We would definitely call back!
