Try the beef options, too!

By Maureen |

I stopped by for a quick lunch and asked for a recommendation from my server. The arepa appetizer was so delicious and I paired it with an enormous glass of refreshing red sangria. Shrimp dishes are the most popular but I suggest the tender flavorful beef

A low-key highlight

A small spot in Hell's Kitchen, I didn't really expect too much, but it delivered quite well. The paella looked and tasted great, maybe would've liked some spice to it - but still definitely high tier.

Fantastic Owners and experience!

We wandered into the EZ Paella and Tapas on a whim because we wanted to try some of their paella and it did not disappoint. We explained to the owner that we only wanted one dish even though there were 3 of us (we did this at 3 different restaurants to make the most of one day in Hell's Kitchen). The owner promptly insisted we try his chorizo sausage with roasted pepper sauce. Oh. My. Heck. I could have eaten a whole bowl of that magical concoction. He recommended the seafood paella and it was also a huge hit with all of us. We gobbled it up like our lives depended on it and we were genuinely sad when the bowl was empty. This is a very small restaurant at only 25 seats, but what it lacks for size it more than makes up for in flavor and charm. Just go. Eat all the paella. You can't imagine how flavorful it is until you try it. Three huge thumbs up!

Late night paella craving

Paella here is very good. The tapas are great too. The wine choices are also excellent. I like to come back again. Hell’s kitchen vibe .

All the right ingredients for five stars!

Wonderful service, fresh food, decent prices, all made our lunch experience a great one. We had the Veggie Paella and were pleased with the amount of vegetables. The Cheese and Bean Arepa came with an amazing garlic/ lime/ cream sauce. The portions were bountiful; if given the opportunity, I'd surely dine there again!

Fun & Tasty

Extra fun when owners Alex & Lorena take care of you. The restaurant is small. Only table seating for about 20 people but I recommend sitting at the bar any way, so you can watch Alex cook and schmooze. We ordered the shrimp ceviche, plantains with shredded beef, and seafood paella. Alex wanted us to try some other dishes and sauces, so he gave us some free samples as we waited. Service was prompt and friendly and we enjoyed all the food (and samples).

Bad food

By Nuno M |

I went around 16, really late for lunch. The place was empty and there was a very bad smell. The owners were there with the employees. They seemed surprised someone coming to a restaurant that is advertised to be open at that hour. I mentioned that i was there because i saw their restaurant advertised by an Youtuber. They heated some paella i don't know how old and served without staying nothing. I paid about 70 dollars for 2 heated paellas while the waiter was staring at us for some reason. I just wanted to leave really fast. It seemed like i was annoying them by being there. Please do not go this place. NYC is a paradise for food and many amazing foreigner restaurants. This is not one of them.

great find near the theater district

We were looking over the area restaurant week places and did not like most of the menus.   We both saw EZ Paella and decided to try it.  It is a very small space with friendly service and excellent food.. We got the $30 restaurant week unch.  It included a drink (we each got sangria) a tapas, My wife got an Venezuallian arepita, and I got a baked chicken empanada, both were excelent. We both got the land and sea paella. The flavor of dsih war very good. There was a lot of seafood too.Even though we were stuffed dessert was included. We had a flan and a tres liches for dessert. Both wre really good but it was hard to finish everything.  It was hard to believe that they only charged us $30 for all of this food.  The dinner special is $45. There are daily specials listed on the board outside. We will be back when we see Funny Girl with the new cast in September.

Simplicity & Satisfaction

By Tom L |

We had a very pleasant evening at EZ. We sat at the bar & watched the chef prepare dishes. We started with tequenos (a type of fried cheese). Then we shared a seafood paella. Two dishes were perfect. Along with 4 glasses of white rioja it came in under $100. It is a long narrow room. Nothing fancy but it is immaculately clean (check out the chandelier in the bathroom). Service was unassuming & very cordial. This place knows how to satisy in a very casual & simple manner.

Delicious food!

It’s a wonderful place for foodies. Tried six different items from the menu, including a dessert. Everything was delicious.

Perfect quick dinner

Perfect quick dinner before a Broadway show. We tried a Venezuelan traditional dish Pabellon Criollo, yummy! Paella & sangria were very tasty, as well. Helpfull staff do the best for a quick service!

Very nice place to eat in the city of burgers 😁

I recommend the Spanish burrito, a fusion of Venezuela and the paella and quesadillas. The owner is very attentive, pleasant. We liked it a lot

Not a 4.9 restaurant

No way is this a 4.9 restaurant as its rating suggested when we visited. Is a solid 2.5 at best. There are better places to eat.

Good spot for aps and Paella

By Christian |

We celebrated a friend's birthday party there and took up most of the small space. The service was good, the food is delicious. I loved the aps more than the paella. Paella was good. The sangria is not very good. Overall, good.
