Fantastic culinary experience

By Globetrotter1955 |

Had a dinner at this Greek restaurant located in the very upscale mall at Hudson yes. The restaurant is beautifully located on the upper floor of the mall with a terrific view of the Hudson River. The decor and ambiance was Wonderful and the staff, service and the food Impeccable. Their speciality is fish, which is flown in daily fresh from the Mediterranean Sea. We loved everything about it.

Bonding with beautiful ladies

By Nitz T |

We are a group of ladies met at lunch at this amazing restaurant. Great view of the Vessel and Hudson River. An array of fresh seafood display is so tempting. We had Grilled Octopus in the bed of hummus as a starter. I have chosen the Icelandic Arctic Char and the rest are Dorade Royal. We ended up our lunch with Karydopita. Highly recommended for group lunches and dinner.

Terrible service and overcharging

By AmanJunkieBoston |

25 minutes in we hadn’t seen the waiter or a drinks menu. It was 45 minutes to receive our drinks and over 2 hours to receive our entrees. The food was quite good the wines are too Greek centric, and but the overcharging was ridiculous. They claimed that we could only order a salt crusted fish if we ordered 3 pounds (which ran $89 a pound). We later found that this was not true. Somehow with limited drinks and 4 people we ended up with a bill for $720 before tip?! The dinner took 3 hours?! No apologies, no change to our bill, nothing. The view can be great at sunset but their outdoor seating appears to never be open. Have a drink at the bar, take some pics and leave.

An excellent family style Greek meal

By dorlucie |

My first time in Hudson Yards and viewing the closed Vessel. Had a surprised invite to early dinner at this restaurant. Delicious meal with excellent service ... thanks, Penelope. If you have children .. they are welcome. Kind of touristy and not cheap but worth a visit. You could sit by the window however not many seats. Very health care conscious!

Preshow dinner

By 141Dini |

I love MILOS and this was our first time at Hudson Yards. It has a magnificent view and the dining area is beautifully appointed. We ordered some of the traditional items and they were all delicious. MILOS special, Greek salad and grilled tomatoes and onions , wonderful. Service was friendly but sequence of our meal was off and they forgot our French fries. The sea bass was exceptionally good. Service was friendly .

Wonderful in every way

By Marge G |

We had lunch here which was a pre fix menu during resturant week. The place was super clean with an attentive staff. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend checking out Milo’s. The resturant overlooks “the vessel” and the Hudson River. It’s a bit pricey but a lovely lunch. Give Milo’s a try and Enjoy!

Excellent and expensive

By sjc43 |

Had a late, light lunch here on a Sunday before visiting the Vessel. Beautiful decor, attentive, friendly waitstaff. We shared four things and each was very delicious. $$$$ especially considering we didn't have any entrees. Portions were pretty generous though. The highlight was their Milia special; thinly sliced, lightly fried zucchini and eggplant chips served with an amazing tzatziki sauce. There was an abundance of fresh seafood that looked amazing. Bread was delicious too.

Good, but not worthy for the cost

By Luca M |

The food is good, nothing to except, but, it's really too costly. I have eaten in many other restaurants with same quality of food (and higher), but 50% cheaper.

Good seafood

By MILOUW |

Large modern restaurant in the new Hudson Yards complex. Spacious locale with a view towards the Hudson River. Reasonably priced luncheon menu. Appetizer of grilled octopus excellent and worth the added charge. Grilled fish of the day equally good followed by a fresh fruit dessert. The place gets very busy however and the background noise level is high. Harried and disorganized service is the weak point, they clearly lack experience.

Great fish

By James Simon |

Delicious food (and I don't even love fish) and good service. Brilliant view of the Vessel as well. Great place for a business lunch or a date

Bad food, horrible service, super expensive

By OLenany |

The restaurant is very beautiful, very spacious and bright, with magnificent view. That’s all I liked about it. I didn’t like the food, which is extremely expensive. The fish was very dry and no flavour. The other fish was cold when they brought it to us. I told them that , they gave me such a nasty look . And asked me what I wanted them to do with my fish . Honestly after hearing that some restaurant staff do crazy things to customers food, I just asked them to warm my fish up. They brought it back in a few minutes, it was just warm , but I didn’t even say anything. Overall our waiter was not polite at all, with some kind of attitude, not even a hint of smile. Very unpleasant service experience. And super super overpriced. Not coming back. Not at all. We had so much better experience in a Brooklyn Greek restaurant for 1/3 of a price with better service

The Freshest Fish in the City

By Theresa B |

The fish is so fresh that is was caught by fisherman no more than 18 hours prior and flown in from the Adriatic, Agean or Mediterranean waters of Europe. Excellent food, excellent service, beautiful restaurant and great views from the outdoor terrace.

Superb meal, lovely room & view

By Alison S |

Dinner before a show at the Shed which is 10 minute walk away. Large room built in two tiers so even "upstairs" you enjoy the glorious view to the Hudson out the window wall along the longest side of the room. Subdued lighting, crisp white tablecloths. Attentive service. Menu offers true Mediterranean diet with many kinds of fresh fish and vegetables. Exquisitely delicious yet you feel healthy and not weighed down. Wonderful meal!

Lunch with a beautiful view!

By Tais E. |

We took the “brunch tasting menu”, $65 per person gave entrance right a main dish and a dessert per person. We adored the entry dough, the baked day fish, and the house dessert with an ice cream ball. The view is beautiful. All attendees are very friendly! I recommend!

You need to go there!!! Only three months old....Everything is excellent

By celebrationtiger |

You need to go there now before you have to reserve weeks in advance. The view is spectacular. The circular window faces the Hudson River,The Vessel and the new Equinox Hotel sky scraper. It reminds me of the fabulous views in Singapore. The service is excellent. George , the director is gracious and welcoming, our waiter Polo was responsive to individual needs and Anna double checked to see everything was perfect. The display of fresh fish was beautiful. They say it is only 20 hours from catch to your table. Our Dover sole was perfectly prepared and reasonably priced. The Greek salad had deliciously ripe tomatoes and the scallop appetizer was a treat. You cannot do better!

Curious

By rcco97 |

We recently had lunch with friends. The restaurant is light and spacious with a wonderful view. The serving staff was friendly and helpful. The food was very well prepared and very tasty…no complaints here. They gave us a fruit plate for dessert, and it was wonderful. The fruit was sweet and flavorful. We even had a very nice Greek Chardonnay which was surprisingly refreshing and nice. I only say this as our previous experiences with Greek wines were just average. The distracting aspect to the lunch was that the air conditioning caused condensation on the ceiling and water dripped on me. Looking at the ceiling, it was clear that there was a problem (water damage and condensing water visible)…when addressed to the staff, it was clear that they knew about the problem…so why would they knowingly seat customers under a leaky ceiling? It would have been simple enough to not sit the table, or to move it away from the leak. It reflects upon the judgement of the management in my opinion.

Fantastic View…

By GreatVoyage |

Beautiful, Fantastic View Had dinner at this beautifully set restaurant with a magnificent view! Service - Poor Food - Bland Prices - $$$$$ This was a total disappointment. The service was poor, though there is a huge staff. Lack of attention to detail…lots of chi chat amongst staff. Food was bland, fish overcooked and tasteless, even the bread was stale! For the prices charged, this is no great experience! Awful!!

Wonderful

By jnvpulv |

Not realizing they had two restaurants, I mistakenly made reservations for the 55th Street location. Realizing my mistake at 10pm the night before our reservation I cancelled the reservation and hurriedly called the Hudson Yards location to try and get a spot. Because there was seven of us, hopes weren’t high. When I called and explained what happened the person that answered chuckled and said it happens a lot. Fortunately they were able to accommodate us. Kudos for that. The menu can be a bit confusing on how to order but our waiter explained and made suggestions. The appetizers were knockouts. The scungilli was perfectly prepared,as was the calamari. Our waiter brought me over to pick out the fresh fish.patiently explained each one. The Black Sea bass and the dorado were grilled and wonderfully prepared. The desserts were decadent and a great way to end a tremendous dinner. The service was attentive and spot on all night. It’s hard to believe it only recently opened. Although all this can be expensive it was worth every penny of it. You get what you pay for. Throw in the beautiful views and you get a marvelous dining experience.

Excellent Food but.....

By pestman |

Pricey and service was average. Food tasted great but if you’re going to go with fresh seafood, make sure you share it. Otherwise, it will get very pricey very quickly. Service was also average for a high end restaurant. I would have expected better table service with the prices they charged.

AMAZING food and experience

By Karen P |

If you love seafood, this is the pace for you!!! Lunch menu is amazing and very affordable. The view - SUPERB - you have the Vessel in front of you!!! The service is also very very good. It wont disappoint you.

The size of the restaurant makes it impossible to keep control and offer good quality

By Armando |

It is like entering a manufacturing facility with far too many table surrounded by one of the most luxurious decorations I have seen. The result is a very expensive place run by unexperienced waiters and managers. Our order came late, mixed up and too salty (lamb chops and fish). Our waiter was a young lady that might have not even visited a high end restaurant in her live. Despite her efforts she couldn’t cope with the challenge of serving our table of four people. Taking into the account the amount invested, the highly priced food and the poor quality of the meal an service I WOULN’T HESITATE TO PREDICT THA THIS RESTAURANT WILL CLOSE DURING THE NEXT TWELVE MONTHS..

A refreshing experience while traveling to NY

By Jannette F |

The experience starts as soon as you arrive to the extravagant front entrance, so beautiful and refreshing. Once we arrived to Milos, we were greeted warmly and our table was ready. Nice summer breeze was the highlight for our lunch. The prix fix menu for lunch was excellent. Fish was so fresh, the greek salad was tasty and not slaty and of course , the fish was amazing, cooked to the point. Best of all was the super delicious yogurt that was served, made of 100% goat milk. Beyond outstanding would describe better Milis lunch. Reservations are a most.

The flavors and music of Greece in Manhattan

By cdsl55 |

Exceptional lunch with incredible views: experienced last year in the evening, I returned this year for a more informal lunch, at lower prices, but which maintains the quality of the courses and service still impeccable. The sweet sound of Greece makes the atmosphere even more special

Beautiful view

By GeoV |

very expensive for regular food we asked tab water and they brought us Evian bottle 9$/bottle. We had 4 for 7 people we did not know that, not in the menu The bill had 3 biers instead of 2. I told them to review the bill, they did. we had 2 Cocktails 19$ each

Very nice restaurant and Delicious food

By Seeker 54 |

I was visiting HUDSON YARDS with my son and his wife and we decided to dine there What it most call my attention was the refined and cleanest decoration which I associated immediately with the Mediterranean The big surprise was the FISH MARKET you’ll find as you get to the second floor and the beautiful view overlooking the VESSEL and the River The terrace was close for the winter but I suggest to book a table at it for the rest of the seasons it must be amazing The way the restaurant works is : You may choose any fish lobster or seafood from the FRESH FISH MARKET most of them I mported directly and almost daily from the Mediterranean Sea (Greece, Portugal etc ) of at least 1 pound per pers ( 1 pound runs between $50-70 aprox )some of them need to be minimum 3 to 4 pounds to be prepared but you may share within your friends at your table THIS IS YOUR MAIN COURSE but there’s also a complete MENU from where you may choose the appetizers garnishings salads etc We asked for the GREEK LEMON POTATOES and the MEDIUM GREEK SALAD to share among the 3 of us !! All excellent but the feta cheese out of this world !!! Then we order GREEK WINE which are really good MALAGOUSIA and SANTORINI by the glass To try different ones GIUSSEPE the FLOOR MANAGER was really helpful and kind as well as everybody else I highly recommend this RESTAURANT by the way we’ve been told they also have another one in MONTREAL and may be LONDON On the first floor (at mall level is the wine bar)

Late Anniversity Celebration

By Febs S |

We had a 8:15p reservation but we finished early touring the Vessel so we decided to call and see if they can take us an hour earlier. They were very accommodating and we had a table with a fantastic view of the Vessel as we original requested. The restaurant was busy. The whole experience was great. From the phone call to change the time, the check in at the hostess, the service at the table. Jamuel was incredible, the knowledge and passion he had for the menu and the wine selection was great. Prices are expensive but the service, food and ambiance made it worth paying the high price. We will be back.

DELISH!

By A G |

GREAT SERVICE! DELICOUS FOOD! WONDERFUL VIEW! What a treat to sit outside with very attentive service on a beautiful day and overlook THE VESSEL and THE HUDSON RIVER! this meal kicked off a great day of shopping eating and sightseeing. LOVE LOVE LOVE this new Milos=)

A very overpriced disappointing ghettin dinner

By Passport514713 |

The ambience is lovely but the meal was quite pedestrian albeit very expensive. I started with half a dozen oysters for $30 - which I was happy to pay for fresh shucked oysters - but sadly they were thin and tasteless. My companion and I shared the lobster in sherry with spaghetti but were not told how much lobster we would get or how much it would end up costing as they charge by the pound. Each of us probably ended up with 1/2 to 3/4 of a pound of lobster amidst spaghetti in a heavy tomato sauce. The lobster seemed over cooked and the spaghetti was , well, just spaghetti. We ended paying close to $200 for this lobster dish which was not at all memorable - except for the price. Would not recommend for dinner.

Great new place in NYC

By Bobdi7701 |

One of the great new restaurants in Hudson Yards, NYC's newest destination. Aside from a great view of Hudson Yards including one of its main attractions "The Vessel" the service and food at Estiatorio Milos is excellent as is the decor.

Two great evenings at Milo’s

By DianaTR |

We planned a birthday celebration in NYC and chose the Equinox hotel in Hudson Yards. Estiatorio Milo’s was our first choice for our dinner. We’ve dined at the midtown and Miami locations and always had a great experience. This lived to all of our expectations with the bonus of a beautiful sunset over the Vessel. We enjoyed the Milo’s special of chips and tzatziki, the tomato salad, and the bronzini. Our sommelier Nadya was amazing. We ordered an excellent 2012 louis roederer rose and truly enjoyed it. We had reservations at a nearby steakhouse for our second night in NYC. We walked in and walked out and returned to Milo’s for another great meal. It was a delight to have Nadya with us again. The waiters were excellent both nights, but they did not make the same connections to make our night a true experience. Wishing Nadya well and hope she sees the Empire State Building with her mom and asks for Siobhan the best tour guide on the premier 7 person tours.

Capture a Pandemic Relief Moment

By HenryNYC |

We weren't sure that a walk in to this restaurant would have been possible during the regular time, but everything is upside down after March 2020. The restaurant is safety conscious with temperature check and phone number tracing. The seats are pretty far apart, although a window seat with views to the Hudson still requires a reservation. We really like the combination of one lunch prefix menu and one a la cart ordering. It gives you sufficient food as well as room to enjoy a bottle of wine and coffee afterward. Services were wonderful. Foods were fantastic. Milos Special is a must try. The grilled octopus with hummus was so wonderfully cooked, just perfect. Milos is known for their fish. Grill the catch of the day was our choice and we were very satisfied. There have been lots of talk about the market priced fish. Just ask, I found that the wait staffs are more than willing to answer your questions.

Elegance with a view

By Enrica |

Magnificent restaurant, with amazing views of the altar and bay. If you're lucky, book a table with a front row view of the window. Very good branch menu as well as à la carte. Professional and kind cared service I would say excellent. Beautiful showcase of fish, some typical dishes of Greek cuisine a little revisited. I had a very pleasant couple of hours.

Great!

By abarasol |

Milos was quite pleasurable. I asked for a table with a view and we got one! Server was very helpful with recommendations. Food was delicious.

Great Greek Fare and View

By JimboMalibu_CA |

We had heard about this new branch of popular Greek Restaurant. It is on top floor of mall at Hudson Yards with amazing view of the Vessel. Although we did not have a lunch reservation they fitted us in and we loved it. Excellent food and service. I was unfamiliar with the 2 Greek white wines they featured so the somolier let me try them before ordering. I had the grilled octopus appetizer was outstanding (tender and well seasoned)...my main , a salmon tartar with French fries was great.

Great food, Great views!

By Rene C |

Met some friends there for dinner and was thoroughly impressed by the food and service we got. Views were fantastic and had a great meal to compliment. Located on the 5th floor of the mall, it's definitely worth checking out if you're into Greek dining.

Horrible,unprofessional

By dp |

Such a horrible experience at this place. Service date December 2 2023 around 7.30pm. We were a party of 2. We didn’t have a reservation,so we checked with the hostess(unhelpful),for a table. She said 2 hr wait or you can sit in the bar or high top table in the lounge. We were happy to do that.We walk around, the tables were tiny so a server said there are larger table outside. We go and sit there.for 20 mins nobody comes to us, we didn’t even get a menu. So we got up,and went and sat at the bar. Again had to wait at the bar,to get a menu for 10 mins..Finally the menu comes..And its tapas/small plates..The hostess missed out to tell us the most important piece of information ,that full dinner menu is not available at the high top tables!!! Since we had been waiting for so long,we went ahead and ordered 2 drinks,2 appetizers(oysters and fried cheese),both were fine..then i got bland lamb chops(2 pcs) with fries $40,and my husband got the tiny kababs. We were left hungry…but the worst part after the hostess was our server..he would forget things, we was cribbing & complaining on the side with other staff members about his job. So the hostess, the servers, the management and bar menu, needs major help. Please dont waste your time & money here, unless the issues are fixed.

Great food, great service

By NYEK |

Excellent food and service. Beautiful restaurant in a landmark building with a view. We felt really taken care of and had a great time. Food is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Great Fresh Fish

By Rosgriffin |

This was our second visit to Milos, and the first time for dinner. They are known for their extensive offerings of seafood prepared to perfection. No different this trip. My wife had the shrimp that were prepared perfectly. I was going to have fish and they have my favorite pompano on the menu but sadly pompano is out of season and they had none. So instead I had the rack of lamb which was again prepared perfectly and very tasty. We started with essentially is a hummus variety plater and it was very, very tasty and one of the best that I find anywhere and we sort of went there just for that dish. You cannot beat the view and service and reservations are a must as the place was packed with locals. I continue to recommend Milos.

Very good dinner experience

By JoseCarlosDeOliveira |

Great ambience, gente service, deliciou greek cuisine, and other dishes. The appetizers are delicious. We tried Maryland crab cake, fantastic. The tuna was also very good. A friend didn't like the lamb. The Amalya sparkilng wine very good.

Elegant seafood

By chefbaby2013 |

We are with a large group of family. The restaurant is so elegant and bright. The fish and veggie dishes are so healthy and full of flavor.

Greek, but not as you would expect

By Mick W |

Came here for a dinner with friends not really knowing what to expect from a Greek fish restaurant. It is excellent, great selection, service and selection of wines. And of course the view. Not cheap, but ‘a cut above’ the rest.

Another wonderful lunch at Milos

By Thomas B |

With a view of the Vessel, knowledgeable, courteous service and delicious food, even a morning of shopping is pleasant. Milos is in a class that others aspire to.

First class food & service!

By Ingrid L |

Took a client to dinner and it started out with a spectacular view by the window looking at the new iconic Vessel. The host was very welcoming. We started off with a bottle of Driopi Rosé 2018 nice and light. The following appetizers were fantastic, Tuna & salmon tartare, Milos special (lightly fried zucchini and eggplant tower) served with Tzatziki, Grilled mushrooms and Grilled Octopus. Next was the greek salad super fresh. The rock fish wrapped in sea salt was the star accompanied by spinach. Almost forgot the grilled Asparagus. I have been to the Milo's in Montreal and Las Vegas. All I can say is that it was all top notch!

Fabulous Food

By SueO_MikeG |

We had a group business dinner in the private dining area. The food was absolutely fabulous. Very fresh and done to perfection. Served family style so you could choose your own amounts. Service was excellent. The main dining room is very modern and the terrace provides a nice view of the Hudson River. It was a Wednesday night and the restaurant was full.

Spectacular Seafood Greek Style

By Rosgriffin |

I have always loved Greek restaurants and Milos is one of the best. Located in the New Hudson yard complex in New York City the view is spectacular overlooking the Hudson river. The place was packed when we were there for lunch and based on current restaurant pricing in New York City I highly recommend you restrict your restaurant visits to these types of establishments at lunch. Even then the price for many is cost prohibitive. We had a perfectly prepared meal. I have always loved the way Greek restaurants prepare their fish using an almost perfect combinations of Olive oil garlic and lemon. I started with a hummus platter that had 3 different types of hummus that we're outstanding. Dessert was a joy. They have an extensive menu of fresh fish and shellfish in fact they had fresh stone crab which I would think is fairly rare in New York but again all fresh. We had a great bottle of wine and I was familiar with the vineyard and knew the owner it was a French white burgundy from Chateau Fuisse and it couldn't have been better. Service was 5 star and the meal was just memorable and spectacular. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Fish galore!

By mandjfoy |

We have been to the Miami location and love it, so decided to give this new location a try. Same enormous selection of fish with learning about and selection being a fun part of the experience. However, maybe because it is still relatively new, our service was very clunky. We had multiple servers and waited over an hour for the salt encrusted fish - which was fantastic, melt in your mouth fish! However, service was disappointing and when we found out our order had been mixed up, we asked to go out on the deck to hang out for the wait and they said it was reserved (it was empty at the time). I imagine eating out there would be great overlooking the Vessel. I still gave it a 4 star because of the delicious food (shout out to the octopus!) but hopefully they have straightened out their service. Will try again next time in town.

Way overpriced and bad service

By Michael_Kfar |

We had great anticipation to this new restaurant after having dined at Milos on 55th Street. The restaurant is beautiful and impressive. We were disappointed on tow levels: The service was horrible. we had to wait for our drinks for 20-30 minutes and asked the waiter few times where are they. The Milos special fired zucchini arrived cold. On top of all the price is outrageously expensive and not worth the food, or drink nor service. What a disappointment.

Good Feeling

By PMLama |

We felt quite good at the nice ambiance and view of the restaurant. Great selection of fishes and seafood. Very good appetizers and Service. Prices a little high, but it's worth it.

Lovely view , but hard to get too....must go through Shopping mall

By Eleanor S |

Food is as delicious as the main Milos on West 55th street, but much busier at lunch. People of all ages, not just the very young! Great lunch value with a prix fixe with good choices Love to see the fish on ice.....

Wonderful Meal with a Wonderful View

By owenres |

My husband and I had a wonderful meal here together, and the view was lovely over the Hudson River. We shared the following plates Greek family style :) - Greek Salad, Calamari, Peppers and Dover Sole, along with a lovely Pinot Noir. Our server, Lyes was friendly and attentive, as was the management who visited our table. Just a lovely night we had together.

Exceptional NYC Dining Experience

By pepper232018 |

From the moment you enter until you leave, this is an upscale experience and a great choice for that special night out in NYC. Friendly, attentive and definitely professional wait staff. We especially enjoyed our personal review and explanation of the very large and appetizing seafood display presented on a layer of crushed ice. The menu is varied and has a number of different items not found in other places - Greek influence. Food was well prepared and presented. Impressive selection of bottled wines and, remember, you are there for a special evening :) We will be going back again soon and not just for a special occasion. This is a must visit for New Yorkers and visitors alike.

Exceptional, both the staff and the food.

By judytraveller |

My friend and I were looking for a new place that we had not dined at and when we saw that Estiatorio Milos at Hudson Yards was listed for Restaurant Week 2023 we jumped at the chance. What luck! It was an outstanding choice! The special had quite a few options for their 3 course lunch. My friend had the Stuffed Grilled Calamari and I had the Loup de Mer Ceviche, Ionian Sea, Greece for my appetizer. Her choice for the entree was the Roasted Organic Chicken Breast and I had the Whole Grilled Fish of the Day of the day, I was told it was a Mediterranean fish, royal dorado which i was not familiar with but our server, Saki who was very patient and kind, explained that it was a whole fish filleted and very mild. Then for desert we both had the Karydopita Traditional Greek spiced walnut cake with honey lavender ice cream. Not only was the food outstanding but all of the staff, from our server Saki who took our order to the staff that served us, were exceptional. And, the presentation of our food was beautiful. The restaurant which is lovely is on the 5th Floor at 20 Hudson Yards and we were extremely lucky to be seated right by the windows with an unobstructed view of the Hudson River and the structure the Vessel. The tables are not so close together that you feel that the other diners will become your BFF's and with the very high ceilings it is very airy and bright. All in all it was an exceptional, delightful and wonderful experience that we both would be happy to repeat.

Very good seafood with a view of the Hudson

By Connector |

E. Milos is a nice restaurant for a fancy date or business meal. The food and service are good and the view is great. It is located above the Hudson Yards mall. It is not inexpensive, so maybe not appropriate for a casual meal.

Dreadful

By claireleigh2015 |

We really went into this with a positive attitude and the setting and starters were great. There was a really long delay before our fish was served and when it came mine was cold and served on a cracked plate. I sent it back and a few minutes later the same fish was returned to me warmed up so it was now dry and tired. I said I couldn’t eat that and the manager came. I said I would accept whatever could be done quickly and he said the absolute minimum amount of time it took to grill a piece of fish was 20 minutes when I demurred he said he knew about fish and wandered off. So very disappointing and ruined a night out through sheer unprofessional rudeness.

Go for lunch, dinner is $PRICEY

By Christineabella |

A beautiful and delicious businessman’s lunch choice of dorade. Perfect room to stare out the windows. EXCELLENT service.

Always five stars

By TravelF0rW0rkAndFun |

This is a constantly top experience. We regularly bring our business guests here and they always love it. Delicious food, top level service, a reasonable business lunch price, and a view over The Vessel. Great cocktails and wine list. Never had to wait: you book online, arrive, and the table is waiting for you. We can't really decide which Milos is better - Midtown or Hudson Yards. They have a different feel but both great.

You better look rich to get a good service

By Jaybee |

We had a reservation and indicated we wanted a table with the view. The hostess said we don't have one available since we are busy today. Ok well, at least please give me a call to let me know, otherwise I would have cancelled. She already seated us and did not even apologize. Food was good but for the price and service we got, The Peak or Queensyard were better options, they have excellent food and service! Not coming back here sorry!

Incredible Service

By Prfct_Fan_Food_Srvc |

My client selected this establishment for a business lunch. Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. The atmosphere is splendid. A wall of windows provides a view of the Hudson River. There's a display of fresh seafood. We ordered lamb chops and barbouni. Barbouni is a type of goatfish native to the Mediterranean Sea. It was once considered a delicacy by ancient Romans. Both were very flavorful and fresh. The service was top notch, five star. This is an excellent restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. I cannot wait to come back!

Awesome food and view

By pdg719 |

Monday thru Friday there is an incredible 32$ pro fixe luncheon. The food is excellent with drinkable Greek wine at fair prices. The view of the "vessel" is great as well as a wonderful place to stop while touring Hudson Yards

Expensive Fresh Fish

By GoldnAdvice |

While milos is a greek restaurant, don't expect to eat Gyros. This is an upscale seafood restaurant with extremely expensive prices. I had been several times to the midtown location and wanted to try this one at hudson yards. The food was excellent, the appetizers were delicious and the fish was grilled to perfection. If you can grab a table near the window, then you get magnificent views. My only complain is the noise level. I think its a design flaw, it was too noisy you could barely hear the person across from you. Even though this has great views , I will stick with the midtown location.

The place sucks!

By Reaz I |

Location was ok inside an upscale shopping mall that most people cannot afford. Reasonable diverse crowed. I would recommend going to Oceans a much better quality from all criteria you may use to judge a good seafood restaurant. Poor quality food, arrogant staff other than runners. Spoiled our well planned evening. I would not recommend wasting your money 🙏

It’s hard to say what is better; the food or the wait staff? Both are superb! Their core values are very family and European: attention to every detail and a genuine upbeat good natured wish to serve the patron. I had the west coast oysters and other Greek fare and then the honey walnut cake and real mint tea - wonderful ! The seating layout and even the seats themselves, along with no rushing, are elements of the experience. If you would like quality Greek dining this is a must do.

The food is so fresh and flavorful!

By MooshLA |

My first visit to this new location in Hudson Yards on the 6th floor of the new shopping mall. Although set back a bit, it offers nice views of the Vessel, the rail yard and Hudson River. Be sure to request a table next to the windows however they’re large enough that the entire seating area offers view. The only issue is that the glass is highly reflective of the lights inside so photos are just OK at night. The service is top notch from food runners to servers to bussers. The wine selection is robust. The food is so darn fresh. We ordered 2 lbs of the Loup de Mer which comes simply grilled and presented with fresh olive oil, lemon and spices/herbs in the traditional Greek style. It was divine. The meal started off with a Greek Salad which was simple and fresh with bursts of flavor from the cheese to tomatoes, onion and cucumber. The Milos Special of lightly fried eggplant bites surrounding a Greek yogurt and bites of traditional Greek cheese is my absolute favorite and always ordered by me. The sides I’m afraid we’re really weak. We had the Greek fried potatoes which was nothing more than an order of thick French Fries and simply not great and Asparagus which was good, not great. I would definitely skip the fries. Overall had a great experience there and always enjoy the food. The pricing is quite steep so we landed around $250 for just two of us. Casual attire leaning more formal was the trend inside.

Dining Experience “par excellence”

By Marie D |

We were referred to this restaurant by the Concierge at Hudson Yards. It was beautiful venue with stunning views of the Hudson River. We happened to be there in time to see a magnificent sunset. The service was impeccable. The staff was gracious, warm and efficient. The food was exceptional! It seems to be primarily a seafood restaurant. They also have meat and vegetarian options available. I had lamb chops. They came with thick cut fried potatoes. I ordered a green salad. It was perfect!! The dressing was lovely. It was served with wedges of gost cheese. The food was very fresh and flavorful. My friend ordered the crab cake appetizer with her her meal . My husband got the fried calimari with his. Of course, I had to taste them! They were delicious!! All in all, it was the best meal I have ever eaten. The prices are quite high but well worth the investment!!

Outstanding service. Beautiful presentation during meal in private dining room. Delicious food. A perfect pick for a working dinner. Nice to have AV set up on the big screen.

This is a must every time we visit NY. Tha food is great, the service outstanding and in this Milos you have a great view of the Vessel.

Greek and seafood in Hudson Yards

By ldjs |

It’s a beautiful stylish restaurant: open space, wall of wine, clean modern lines. Overlooking Vessel in Hudson Yards. Delicious food as in all Milo’s locations, good wine and service. It is a very fun place, but most definitely overpriced as all fish is market price. I don’t mind usually for a special occasion, but you certainly can get similar quality Greek food for way less. All in all, great experience.

Beautiful View of the Hudson River

By William Lee |

We went for Restaurant Week. For starters we opted to share the fried calamari and the Greek Meze Plate. Both were excellent. I had the Vegetable and Mushroom plate and my wife had the chicken. We each thoroughly enjoyed our entrée. The restaurant is beautiful with a great view. Maurizio did an excellent job leading our service. We would recommend this Milos location.

A very special birthday celebration gone wrong

By Michael H |

I have been a regular customer of the original Milos on 55th Street for the last 20 years and always had a good experiences with food and service despite the high price tag. For this reason I chose the new Milos in Hudson Yards to celebrate my wife's birthday and another family event. My assistant made a reservation for 4 people for 7:45 pm and was assured we would get a window table. We arrived at 7:40 pm to be told by the hostess that we had to wait at the bar. After 15 minutes wait I politely inquired how long the wait would be and the Maitre D told me they would seat us soon. There was a window table open with a setting for 5 people. I assumed they wanted to keep this for a party of 5 . However at 8:10 two couples came in and were immediately seated by said Maitre D and one setting and chair was removed. Five minutes later at 8:20 pm another Maitre D in very chipper mood guided to a table that was clearly for 2 people where they had crammed four settings onto the table. My wife had to squeeze on the bench with my 17 year old son. We were told if we wanted another table we would have to wait. While we expressed our displeasure we remained at this table. We were then told that they would bring us some spreads on the house which arrived a few minutes later. The spreads are listed on the menu at $39 while clearly the cost of good sold is less than $5. However at the end they put the spreads on our check and removed them only after we complained again on the way out. Sergio our waiter was fine although tended to push the higher priced options (He could only find a 2.5 lbs lobster ! ) . The food was fine although not as good as on 55th Street. Based on this experience I am seriously re-evaluating my loyalty to Milos. If you charge theses kind of prices, your service and food need to be flawless. This was terrible .

All perfect..

Breathtaking location with a view of the Hudson, impeccable service, quality dishes and very fresh fish...all of this obviously comes at a cost and it's also very high...but it's worth it!

Good food, poor service

By theoneandonlyArnold |

Full restaurant, many waitstaff, good fish but service far below price level. 20’ waiting for wine, fries for the table were a portion for one arrived at last bite of main course. There are so many waiters that they stand in each other’s way but they seem so poorly organized. All food is really good despite small portions. Not recommended anymore

Tent curbside

By lroyer1 |

Seated curbside in a heated tent. They made suggestions that were local & fresh for the whole table. Very personable. Food was excellent

Excellent service

By AnimaBella |

Impeccable service from the start. Booking process was easy and quick. The food quality is very good, fresh ingredients and subtle flavor. The staffs are super helpful and attentive. We ordered salted baked fish, tomatoes salad, grilled vegetables, calamari and it was enough for three persons. The staff will advise on the suitable fish, or lobster, etc. It is not cheap but you the food and service warrant the price tags. Overall , it was such an enjoyable dinner experience. Will come back again!

SIMPLY FANTASTIC!!!

By giangy00 |

Fantastic food, extremely high quality! Top staff! They give you the right advice, without exaggerating, and, above all, they give you GOOD advice! For eating fish they say it's the best place in New York. As far as I'm concerned, it could easily be! Prices? Well, we are in NYC, eating very fresh fish, overlooking the Hudson, on the top floor of the most luxurious shopping center in NY... Everything fits! We will be back :) Thanks for the experience!!! Spectacular Christmas Eve!!!

My Happy Place!!

By arleneacqua |

OMG!! This was truly an experience for anyone who enjoys fish, and the Greek cuisine overlooking the magnificent Hudson Yards. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the food and service to match. I cannot wait to be back the end of the month to share with friends.

Fancy place, good food

By eyalmenachem |

We went 5 people for dinner, had to book ahead of time cause this place is very crowded. It was so crowded we couldn't hear people talking in our table, you could only hear the person sitting next to you. We ordered multiple cocktails, and drank a lot of red wine. All drinks were great. We had a few appetizers which were also very good, and I ordered the Lamb Chops which were fantastic!

Excellent food + a view

By FHANDS |

Had a fabulous price fixed lunch here. The food was very good. The service impeccable. Freshest tomatoes and a great piece of fish!!! The view of the Hudson River added to the beauty of the food and service

Great in a celebration

By Arturo D |

Without a doubt, this is a beautiful restaurant. The service was outstanding, and the food was truly excellent. We ordered the grilled fish, the octopus—which was exceptional—the tuna sashimi, and the Greek salad. If I had one comment, it would be that the shared plates are a bit too small, but everything else was top-notch. The view is something you simply can’t miss. When you go, make sure to ask for a table by the window. Absolutely fantastic. A solid 10 out of 10.

Bright and pleasant upscale seafood restaurant

By Mary T |

We were two for lunch on a Friday. We went early but the place was almost full when we left. Bright and airy with view of “The Vessel” and across the Hudson River to New Jersey. We chose the luncheon menu and shared a meze plate and a grilled octopus starter. Then Arctic char with a white bean side. Dessert was walnut cake soaked in honey with a scoop of lavender ice cream. All delicious and attractively presented. Very pleasant and agreeable service personnel. I suspect it was very expensive , but don’t know because my colleague picked up the bill. Recommendable. Reserve ahead.

Poor service

By Katerina K |

It is a pity that such a well known restaurant suffers of such a poor service. The host was arrogant and was worrying about the waiting line after us instead of making the reservation under our "long" name.

Special menu and price for LUNCH

Everything was just perfect. Great lunch at a very special price. The service was perfect and the view was amazing. Make sure you sit near the windows.

Great lu ch, with a great view on the Vessel, Hudson river

By shoppingNY |

Went for lunch, menu is great and prices very reasonable. Excellent food and service, with an outstanding view. Will definitely return when in New York, one of the best restaurants for fish and sea food.

Excellent!

By L Tran |

The restaurant, located in the Hudson Yards complex, has beautiful, bright and airy ambiance. We went for the 3-course prix fixe lunch and it was excellent. The dishes were simply prepared but delicious. Presentation and service was nice as well. Highly recommended.

Very Good for Food Allergies but Overpriced

By Experienced Food Allergy Traveler |

Great with food allergies. Server knew all ingredients and preparation specifics. If price is no object (i.e. small portion of fresh fish for $80 per person; 8 boiled fingerling potatoe side with olive oil for 18!) ) go for it! From a food allergy perspective - totally awesome!

Absolutely fantastic!

By David Marino |

Having been a Milos lover for many years, we could hardly wait for the new Hudson Yards’ location to open. When you enter the restaurant through the wine bar, there is a elegant stone circular stairway that ascends up to the main restaurant. The views to the west into Hudson yards and “The Vessel” sculpture are mind blowing. Many of the tables have wonderful views out the windows and there are also two private dining rooms that would be perfect for a business, large family or closing dinner. The food was simply fantastic. We both had the “business lunch” which is a three-course lunch for a $32 value. I started with the grilled octopus, which is one of the best I have ever had, served over a bed of hummus. I then had the Dorade Royal fish which was perfectly prepared and flavorful. My wife’s tomato salad and arctic char were wonderful as well. The service was responsive and solid. First class room, service and food – – not to be missed!

Bang average. Great food, stuff, mixed service, $$$$$$$$

By Jennie M |

Great food but stuffy. My waiters were utterly charming but some of the other staff were less so, including the (possibly managerial) in the macrame cardigan yelling at team members. On arrival the waiter explained most of the dishes were meant for sharing, wish it had said this (or been more obvious) on the website as I’m a solo traveller so massive sharing portions aren’t great. Anyway I went for three oysters, their octopus entree (which is read was excellent) and ended with a Walnut cake with lavender ice, all delicious. Expensive though… that (plus two small wines and tip etc) came in at £150. The beautiful view of the Hudson was screened off due to a private party. They hadn’t arrived yet so I asked if I could take a quick photo… another hideous member of staff refused me stating the party, when I pointed out they weren’t there he outright lied and said “it was windy and dangerous “ (clearly not if you’re sending a private party out there). Bang average overall.

One of the best places I visited

One of the best places I visited in NYC Food is amazing Octopus a must try Service is great Surely will be back

High expectations, but under deliver d

By Mmleee450 |

High expectations, but under delivered. We expected lot from Milos known for variety of Mediterranean seafood with great taste. Location is ideal since my office is close by and expected frequently to dine at this place. All all changed, front desk ladies were not I am used to, just asked if I had reservation, not welcome message, not even a smile but seems to have attitude. I guess they were having a bad day? Many items in the menu was out for for weeks and months. They didn’t update the menu, why as most restaurants do update. For the money, tables should have space, but very close to each other. All night my back was brushed by servers, people going by etc. very annoying. Good view, but couples tables were away from the window, only 3-4 people were allow to sit BT the window to “maximize” the seating according an arrogant lady that took us to the table. Needless to say, this place will not be my first or second choice since other places such as Queens Yard is around the area with much better service.

Delicious

By Car Fi |

Amazing quality overall. Menu selections are excellent and the level of creativity and preparation from all the plates were outstanding. Everything we had on sea food was delicious - octopus, branzino and the emperor - worth trying. Appetizers with cheese including the Milos special are unique. Excellent service and nice wine list with greek wines.

Very nice lunch.

By vacationisfun_8 |

Very nice lunch here. We had the price fix lunch which was a very good deal. The salad was excellent but a little heavy on the feeding. The whole fish was well done ans the dessert was fresh and tasty. The view is amazing.

Dinner for 4 was a poor experience

By PRB |

Food was excellent. Service was terrible. Maybe "almost nonexistent" is a better description. We asked 4 times for butter before it was brought to the table. Giant prawns were served with head and shell intact but no implement to break open the shell. When we finally got the waiter's attention, he offered to take them back to the kitchen and have them de- shelled. When they were finally returned, they were stone cold and everyone else had finished with their dinners. We were never offered coffee or dessert. We had to ask a passing waiter for our bill. An extremely small tip, consistent with our opinion of the service, accompanied the payment.
