This was the 4th time to this location. The room is somewhat loud and vibrant. The staff is amazing. The concept is excellent. The food this time did not live up to the hype. The spreads were good but not great. The grouper was overdone. The desserts were good but not outstanding. I would give it 4* except when you consider the prices it isn’t worth what you get.

Good meal, expected better

By 08003_Mark_P_ |

We had a 7pm reservation on a Saturday night. We arrived a little early. We were not seated until 7:45pm. There was no place that was suited for our long wait. It was very crowded. Food and drinks were good, not special, I expected better from the reviews I read. Service was attentive and professional.

Top evening

Smart location, Allegra simple but refined: I would say nothing left to chance.... Excellent dinner, fish, meat, wine and top service

Loud, meh food

By Alexgrrrrl |

The loud din hits you as you enter. Be sure that you’ll have to shout to talk with the servers and your dining companions. The food was meh but my companion liked his. Loud “music” gives this place a buzz and let’s turn tables as the diners become annoyed. It definitely work for me as I couldn’t wait to leave.

By far the best of the best!!!!

By Mr.Ché |

This is my favorite Milos in the world (I have been in Miami (see my separate review), Athens, Las Vegas, NY). And it is by far the best too. Amazing selection of fish and seafood, great wine list, super professional and efficient service. Everything you need to have in a perfect restaurant. Mediterranean/Greek cuisine – the best of what it has is gathered here. Best way to enjoy it – share everything. Start with grilled octopus, stuffed or fried calamari, Greek salad, Tziziki, sardines (if available). For the main course – 100% fish. Tsipoura (Dorada) and Lavraki (Seabass), Barabuni (Red Mullet). First two should go either in salt, grill or steamed. Barabuni – only fried! And finally – TUNA! I have never tried such a tuna in my life! Top class. Just amazing. See my photos for a better impression.

Great upscale Mediterranean seafood

By IngridNF |

The seafood waa absolutely amazing, fresh and well prepared. The waiter showed us the frsh fish choices for the day and gave us options on the preparation. I also had a delicious cosmopolitan cocktail.

fantastic food, ridiculously expensive

By Carmine Lucchese |

First off the food and service is top notch, now with that said I can't complain to much about price because what your eating and the location is expensive. The only reason I knocked it down a star is that when your up looking at the fish and ordering what you want the pricing per pound isn't explained to you, so that does cause a little sticker shock when the bill comes. With that aside this place is a big time Resturaunt with professional service and quality. this time I had the stone crab claws, the whole red snapper, greek salad, and the Milos special (fried zucchini with taziki dipping sauce) everything cooked perfect. Side note the Host Bruno is old school and is probably the best at what he does in the city, thank you

Wonderful place, good location,very

Wonderful place, good location, very polite staf. The fish and seafood are displayed on a counter. The customer chooses what he wants to eat.

Disappointing Customer service for our Anniversary

By DianaTR |

We booked weeks in advance for our wedding anniversary dinner and noted our celebration on Open Table. We have dined here before and were looking forward to a romantic evening. The Concierge at the Ritz confirmed our dinner time that day and requested special attention for our anniversary on the reservation date. And yet... NOTHING. We ordered champagne pre-dinner. We had a good dinner while much attention was paid to the party of 8 next to us with obvious connections. We ordered dessert. And Nothing. The Ritz and Del Friscos did a better job celebrating our special day over the weekend. So disappointing.

Always great

By Imrahil5000 |

This is probably the 20th time I have eaten at Milos and I will definitely be back. The food is simple and delicious. The service is great and the place is fun. It's expensive but it's worth it.

A Wonderful Greek Restaurant

By Pedro A |

I love Greek food and I have been in excellent Greek restaurants. Here in São Paulo we also have very good ones. But this is the best! I really enjoyed excellent Ouzo, a wonderful taramosalata and a perfectly broiled octopus. Unquestionably a very good night.

Lots of scenes, very little performance

By Alpanfilo |

Maybe it's good for the Americans but the Italians have to be careful. Arriving on time we waited 45 minutes before they gave us a table... absurd. Ridiculous food, not only for the price you pay but for the portions and the quality, fried calamari with terrible oil and reused several times.. 2 appetizers, 2 calamari and two glasses of red $230. Not even worthy of the ritual photo for Trip Advisor... If at least there had been quality the mockery would have been more acceptable.. On the other hand they "must" (we must) maintain around 50 staff members... Maybe more than customers… They want to be refined in a classy restaurant but here it is very far away... We're not quite there...

Good, but way overpriced

By SteveMartin1963 |

Excellent food. Nice atmosphere prices are not reasonable, even in comparison to top NYC restaurants, weiters are impatient: within 4 minutes of getting the desert menu, was asked by 4 staff members will I have a desert... you can't relax....

Perfect for family lunch

By Ibrahim A |

Great service with too quality seafood that is cocked to perfection. I enjoyed their food a lot with very good flavor and the service is world class. If you enjoy seafood and Greek food then this restaurant is a must.

Disappointing service ..

By denuevoaqui |

Unacceptable to provide that small table for 8 people ( even don’t fit for kids ) having made a reservation 24h in advance... but the worse part is the lack of reaction of the manager in finding a solution. One less in my list !

Dinner date

The octopus remains my favorite item on the menu. I love the variety of fish on their ice bar. The service is impeccable. Great place to celebrate

A mob scene, but service from greeters and servers was amazing

By victorsN2770KS |

As a Greek fish house, Estiatorio Milos is an expensive option in midtown Manhattan, with fresh whole fish on ice offered for about $60 a pound. But I have always enjoyed going there for lunch during the twice-annual NYC Restaurant Week. This year, Milos is offering a 2-course lunch for $26 and a 3-course lunch for $32, plus tax and tip, until Feb. 9. With sensible desserts like fresh fruit and Greek yogurt available during our visit last week, I had intended to order 3 courses, but after an appetizer of Greek spreads and an entree of a whole butterflied and deboned fish, plus toasted bread and extra-virgin olive oil, I was stuffed. The only negative was the mob scene my companion and I encountered when we showed up for our 1:30 p.m. reservation. (My advice for Restaurant Week is to go when lunch service starts at 11:30 or noon.) The restaurant seats more than 200 on three levels. The roar from the main dining room made it almost impossible to carry on a conservation. But the service was excellent from when I first arrived 10 minutes early and the greeter checked my reservation while a second greeter took my coat. Then, servers and food runners didn't miss a beat during our 2-course lunch. I ordered the generous Greek Meze Platter with warm pita and marinated raw vegetables while my friend had the Tomato Salad with a big hunk of feta cheese, extra virgin olive oil and sea salt. We also got a basket of toasted bread to dip into Greek extra-virgin olive oil and fresh thyme, which was cut at the table Our second courses was a whole Dorade Royale (sea bream from the Mediterranean) with steamed crown broccoli. The fish was grilled whole, then butterflied and deboned for me. My friend had Icelandic Arctic Char (in the salmon family), grilled and served with beans. Both fish entrees were moist and delicious. Great food and great service under difficult circumstances has me returning to Estiatorio Milos every year. The restaurant also offers a 3-course lunch for $32 year-round.

Great dinner!

By JC4Ever |

Had never been to this restaurant but it was recommended by a friend since we were going to a show next door, so we decided to give it a try. Thank God we did. What a great experience. From the second we walked in the door and the host asked if we had a show to catch, to the service, Greek wine recommendation, the food...everything was great. We started with the beet salad with mint yogurt, grilled octopus, and fried calamari. All were perfect but that warm beet salad was incredible. Then to a (branzino) they call it Lethrini, that came off a huge ice bar with all different type of wild whole fish that our waiter explained to us in detail. It was simply prepared fileted with olive oil, lemon and capers so the fish could be the star. We had it with fingerling potatoes dressed with olive oil, fresh herbs, and red onion, and an order of grilled asparagus. Everything was just clean and fresh. We didn't have time for dessert but went back in after the show and had drinks and dessert at the bar. Wish I could remember our server's name because he was excellent. Don't know how he knew we were back but he came up behind me at the bar and stated after I place my order, he would go back into the kitchen to make sure there was no nuts or shellfish near it due to my food allergies that he had remembered from dinnertime. WOW!!! Incredible service!!! Dessert was just as good. The yogurt with thyme honey... fantastic. Not too tart not too sweet. My husband who hates yogurt tried and went back for more. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Outstanding fish and service

By matelajolla |

We had the Mediterranean plater as an appetizer which had 3 different types of humus. The one that included caviar was incredible. It was so creamy and flavorful ( and I don't love caviar). We had the Mediterranean Sea Bass after inspecting the fish prior to being cooked. It was cooked perfectly and the the grilled vegetables were very good as well. Our server Agon did a super job of helping us navigate the extensive menu. I agree with several other reviewers that it is expensive but it was worth it.

Good fish but very expensive

By VTK8 |

Fish is fresh. Service is good, but they clearly want rapid table turnover each evening, so feels very rushed. $32 for a tomato salad with precisely 2 olives in the salad is a joke, especially for tomatoes that do not taste like they have been grown with care but rather the cheap watery hydroponic ones that have zero taste. So it’s a mixed bag this place.

Consistently delicious at Milos.

By Phyllis S |

This has consistently good/ great/excellent food and service. And always willing to accomodate asks - for time - pre theater and changes to the menu.. I love this place.

Home run at Milos

By ecoyenya |

We eat at Milos every time we come to New York. They have impressive Greek style food with emphasis on fresh seafood. Their wine list is good with a good selection of Greek wines. They have a pre theater menu which is extensive, can be expedited, and is well priced. Milos should be on your must dine list for fine Greek dining with an emphasis on seafood.

What a delightful surprise.

By Bobby8958 |

Lunch was amazing! Their $32 three course special was cheap for what you received. I had the octopus, the bream and dessert. We all enjoyed different courses and they were all wonderful. What a find. Everyone should try it. The service was absolutely exceptional and exceeded only by the taste of the food.

Great seafood, not so organized staff

By Viva San Marco |

We had a company dinner on a Monday night and the venue was packed. Our table was not ready despite the reservation and they asked us to wait by the bar, where there was no room to stand (unless we jumped onto sitting guests having dinner). still, they pushed us to wait at the bar, where it was simply impossible to stay given the total lack of space. If you ever book a table for dinner, specifically ask to avoid tables by the bar! I saw people standing and drinking, spilling their drinks onto seated guests' coats... ouch! Eventually we were taken downstairs to our table. The food was great, the service was pretty attentive, and the wine seemed ok too. Tips: when booking a table, ask it to be either downstairs, along the wall, or if it is by the entrance, make sure it is located on the right hand side.

Amazing every time

By Fer Q |

This place is a must! It is amazing every time! The Milos special is amazing, the fish is fresh and the Greek salad can’t be missed!

We’ll Be Back

By kathymaf |

In a word, EXCELLENT! Ann, our server, was FANTASTIC! The crab cake with beet purée was delicious! The chocolate mousse was decadent! The staff were all very friendly and eager to be of any assistance! I do not normally visit the same restaurant twice, however, Milos is worth many repeat visits.

Fresh Fish at it best!!

By David Hardie |

Milos we visit when every we travel to NYC. The selection of fresh fish is outstanding and the server will take you to the display and help you select. Been their 8 times at least. Upstairs can be a bit noisy and a little crowded. They also have banquet rooms and a downstairs that is much quieter. Pricey but worth it. This is Manhattan and I can not imagine what their rent would be!!!

Pricey but very good Greek restaurant

By KP |

I visited "Milos" with my family the first day of our stay in NY. We made a reservation for 800 pm. I am of Greek descent so I have a very hard time finding good Greek restaurants in the US. The interior of "Milos" was warm and a bit noisy. The place is huge extending on 3 levels! I really appreciate the fact that I did not see any of these horrendous and distasteful Greek statue replicas that I have met in many other Greek restaurants... We visited on a Monday and the restaurant was full! The service was a bit slower than I would like it to be, but given the fact that the place was so busy, I am not gonna take any points away for this reason. The appetizers were: 1. An olive oil dip with freshly cut oregano. The bread was grilled in a traditional Greek way. It did remind me of Greece. Extra points for this! 2. Greek spreads, including tzatziki, taramosalata (type of fish egg sauce) and htypiti (type of cheese sauce). There was pita bread (really good). I would prefer the tzatziki to be more spicy but I understand that other palates may not be that trained, so overall I would say that spreads were very good. Tip: ask for extra pita bread from the beginning! 3. Fried calamari. It was excellent. Tip: ask for extra slices of lemon from the beginning! 4. Gigantes (a type of oversized beans). They were very good. We ordered 3 main dishes. The halibut was one of the best we ever had. The filet mignon was great. The lamb chops were fantastic (very juicy!). French fries were hand-cut and very tasty! I had a glass of red wine. Decent. For desserts, we ordered yogurt with honey and karydopitta (walnut pie) with ice cream. They were above average and definitely brought us a feeling of home. I did notice that a family left baklava in the table next to us. It is never a good sign when Greeks don't finish their baklava but to be fair I did not have one. My gut feeling is that "Milos" chefs need to work more on their desserts. We paid $400 for 3 persons. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely come back!

Horrible service and overcharged

By Maria P |

My husband my two kids one less than a year who doesn’t eat that kind of food so it was 3 consumers we found out that their food is ok however their services is terrible and if they don’t like you they will overcharge you the eassy way for them to overcharge is if you order food per pound like fish because they don’t have prices on the menus so they will Bill you whatever price they think you should pay. In my case I ordered a 1.5 pound whole branzino fish the pound was 61$ a little overpriced but I was willing to pay but guess what they charged me 173.85 for that fish 😂😂 unreal but true the waitress was races and try to discriminate us by overcharging us how immature and miserable. in general we overpaid for an unworthy night. They need to improve their customer service since is very poor. I realized that Their goal is to charge you a minimum of 100$ per person be very careful with this place. We are very disappointed.

Nice place

By Ganga D D |

We wanted a fish dinner and we did get one . Their fish were on display and one could choose from there . Very attractive display . The bread was toasted right and olive oil was amazingly flavourful. But I found the grilled fish to be extremely bland though very fresh and superb in quality and texture . However the starters were awesome aubergine and zucchini chips with the Greek curd dip was out of this world ! The grilled asparagus and bell peppers were a super treat . The two desserts we tried were great : Greek curd with blueberry, honey and walnut ; walnut spiced cake with ice cream (strong on cinnamon flavour) !

Reasonable prix fixe. Delicious arctic char.

By TravelBelly_88 |

We had a wonderful early dinner experience. The prix fixe menu is good and reasonable. The arctic char is outstanding and the greek mezze is hearty and advisable to share. I like the extra touch of fresh young oregano leaves in the olive oil. Also enjoyed the lovely bottle of Greek white - Biblia Chora Sole Vidiano - Cretan Vidiano varietal and includes a small amount of Assyrtiko.

Very Disappointing

By B W |

Not my first visit but may be my last. I've never been to a restaurant before in which the staff made you feel like they were doing you a favor by allowing you to dine with them. We were sat 15 minutes after arriving while half the dining room was empty. We were greeted immediately with a wine list and menus and asked to order drinks before we even settled it. Felt rushed immediately. My guests had questions about the menu, but the waiter didn't seem to know the menu and was making things up. There was a "Chef" helping him, but he spent most of the evening protecting the fish market with his other chefs. They didn't seem to want to be bothered. We waited a while for the entrees, but no one came over to talk to us. The waiter was overwhelmed. At one point someone in suit (Manager?) was yelling at our waiter about another table near us that was having their own problems. The food eventually arrived, was very under seasoned and bland and I was embarrassed. This place was great before. Not anymore.

Outstanding seafood, classy ambiance

By elibe07 |

Truly outstanding seafood, excellent and attentive service, beautiful ambiance. Our server (who was just wonderful - so attentive, helped us figure out the best options for our group) recommended the octopus as "best octopus in town" and he was NOT wrong, it was SOOOO GOOOD. The whole menu is intended to be shared plates, so keep that in mind - but it's not small tapas plates, mostly. We had a group of 5 and ordered about 3 appetizers, one salad, 4 lbs of fish (Dorado and red snapper - FANTASTIC, from the restaurant's fresh market), and one side and that was WAY more than we needed. But each appetizer - octopus, stuffed calamari, lightly fried zucchini and eggplant, were all utterly delicious, the fish was phenomenal, the Greek salad was perfect...did we have room for dessert? Absolutely not. Did we order baklava anyways? YUP. And guess what - FREAKING DELICIOUS. Buttery, flaky, rich - and we only ordered the one slice, split it up among our group of 5, and it was perfectly portioned. A perfect taste for each of us. Ok yes the prices are pretty high - but it's NYC, what do you expect? But no lie, everything we ordered was SO WORTH THE PRICE.

Our must every time we visit NY

By Pedro O |

Excellent Greek food! Nice selection of fresh fish in its own market. Excellent atmosphere, service, the simple but tasteful flavor of the fish at grill is amazing. Interesting side options . For us is a must! A nice and grateful must for your visit! Excellent for a family time!!

Best in NYC

By Roadster2015 |

What an amazing experience. We know this restaurant concept from Las Vegas so we wanted to try it in NYC as well. We were very happy to see that the level of food/wine quality as well as service is absolutely top as expected. We went for their pre-theatre menu and it was just 100% value for money!

Good Greek Fare

By Lynne L |

If not for the fish bones, would’ve been a 5* review. I recently met a friend at Milo’s, and while I was not disappointed in the ambiance and wait staff who were attentive but not pushy, I was quite surprised that this lovely piece of delicate fish (head to tail in my plate, beautifully displayed) had not been de-boned! I would recommend Milo’s to others with the caveat that for a fine dining experience, the chef needs to take a tad more time prepping!

Amazing place

By Alfredo8074 |

This is a very well known, upscale and flashy restaurant in Midtown New York. Wanted to try a Greek restaurant and we chose Milos. Were directed to the bar first where we ordered a Hendricks Gin and a malt whiskey, Glenmorangie. This was a separate account and spent $30 in both drinks. Then we were shown to our table. All we wanted was to share a Branzino with a side dish. Well the waiter came back with a fish in hand and said this is the perfect size for the two of you, so we said go ahead. We did not know that the fish was 2.15 lbs which at $61/lb added to $131.15, the most expensive fish we had ever eaten. Branzino is our favorite fish and we have shared other Branzino's at much lower prices. Asked for a side of potatoes that added another $15 to the tab. The food was excellent in taste and substance, but too pricey. Been there done that.

Unforgettable!

By Evelyne N |

Magnific! The best octopus I've had in NY. Very well seasoned and with perfect cooking time! The Ribaye steak was also very well done. All meals were delivered in a short time. The service was impeccable, everyone was very kind and welcoming. The environment already describes itself. An incredibly beautiful view! And in the end, we were still surprised with the desserts offered as a courtesy, by the kind manager Gregoris Chatzicharalampous. Unforgettable! I'll be back as soon as possible. Thank you for this incredible gastronomic experience!

Wonderful Seafood

By joseph s |

I have been there for lunch but this time I Went with my wife for dinner It was outstanding….one of the best fish and seafood restaurants I have been to I am usually very nervous about ordering fish in a restaurant Here there’s nothing to worry about I was not crazy about the atmosphere…it’s very nice and clean but also bright and not as intimate as I would like for a nice dinner. But don’t let that stop you! The food is killer!!

Fabulous Food and Service

By j s |

We were in NYC and had time to kill before meeting people at the restaurant for lunch. First, we stopped by to see if we could use the washrooms. Even though the restaurant was not yet open, they let us in and also offered to let us use one of the tables until lunch. We declined, but it was a great offer on a hot day. We then had lunch as planned. What a great experience. Service and food were both excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good seafood, especially Mediterranean style, I had the sea bream, it was awesome, done to perfection. Everyone raved about their dish. I definitely plan to go back next time in NYC.

Greek table in New York city

By Maygo2007 |

The food is fresh and good, you can have nice fried zucchinis and aubergines. The tzatziki lacks garlic though. If you order the Greek spreads do not expect a lot of raw vegetables, you’ll only get a few sticks. The service is cordial but not friendly. It’s a pity as it could be a nice experience.

Don’t expect to hear from your table neighbor

By Catduo |

It is impossible to discuss at the table because the noise is loud, it is worse than a station. How to want to eat in these conditions To flee

FABULOUS, FRESH FISH

By WTCrowder |

In a wonderful ambient setting, we accompanied our waiter to inspect the fish display -- nearly all of which had been flown to NYC that day. Then we enjoyed our cocktails while the kitchen prepared the fish we selected. It was exactly as our waiter had described it -- only better. If you love fresh fish, this is an absolute MUST in NYC.

Amazing food; highly recommend

By MeInEfland |

A friend brought us here for dinner. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. There were many food choices and felt a bit intimidating but the staff walked us beautifully to a phenomenal experience. The wine choices were great. Don’t miss this gem if you travel to NYC.

Great Place

By Sam |

Enjoy Milos , a NYC tradition.. very good and fresh seafood , good service, and very high prices come along with this great location ( I prefer it over Madison location) Very good business lunch

Great fish!

By TheFunFoodie |

Such an incredibly beautiful restaurant on the fifth floor of Hudson Yards. The service is good, with the exception that they do cater heavily to the alcohol drinkers and not so much to the non-drinkers. Possibly because the tab will be less? Idk. Some of us felt invisible. That being said, the food is incredible. The presentation is beautiful. It’s on the pricey side but it’s worth every cent.

Great

By sergio |

I've been to this restaurant in Miami and Athens. All were impeccable, both in the kitchen and in service and location.

Absolutely worth visiting

By sergio69_12 |

Elegant Greek cuisine based on fish. From oysters to sea bream a sensation of flavors and freshness! The wine list and desserts are interesting. Welcoming and impeccable service.

Expected A lot Better For The Steep Price

By Patty B |

We were told about this restaurant by the gentlemen in Vienna who owns Sole restaurant there. We always go to Avra so we thought we would try this for a change. For starters it is a beautiful space and not as crowded as Avra, we liked that part. We were seated on a banquette in the main dining room, also nice. I was sitting facing out so I did not see the fresh fish display in the back of the dining room. Nor were we told it existed. Our waiter seemed rushed and told us of the fresh fish choices, no mention that we could select the fish from the display. We had the octopus and Greek salad to start, both were excellent. Fresh bread where they cut the basil from a fresh bunch onto the plate of olive oil also a nice touch. We chose the Dorado sight unseen for our fish choice. I then noticed the display and went to look at the other choices although we had already ordered the Dorado. I tried to ask a question from one of the waiters by the case, but he ignored me. When it was served, the server, not our waiter said there were bones in a certain section of the fish and to avoid them. Well the bones were not only there but in other areas as well. I was not pleased. Also, because they do not present the entire fish table side it was barely warm. The potatoes were good, although not the ones we wanted. I really felt sorry for the couple next to us celebrating their 55 wedding anniversary. They complained to their waiter that their fish was cold. No one did anything about it and they ended up up leaving most of it untouched as well as the potatoes and asparagus. They were not happy. When our waiter finally came back I told him and showed him all the bones. He comped our dessert. Maybe the best way to order the fish is cooked in the sea salt crust, although there is $15.00 supplement to have it prepared that way. So $61.00 per pound (we had 2 lbs) of fish with bones is not a good value at all. There are more expensive choices as well. I think they charge for the weight of the entire fish even though you cannot eat the head or tail. We will skip this place next time and go back to Avra where we always get a good meal. Avra has two locations now, so if you go make sure you have the correct address for the one you choose.

A fantastic choice!

By Lucio Sue |

The ambiance was elegant yet welcoming, perfect for a family gathering. We were blown away by the freshness of the seafood; the grilled octopus was a standout! The staff was attentive and made us feel right at home. However, the prices were a bit on the higher side, which made us think twice about ordering dessert.

Awful Experience

By RandyKirsch |

Waited one hour for appetizers and then another hour and a half for entrees. I do not blame the waiters. I blame Milo’s management for not being able to manage their restaurant. We spent over 500.00 for three of us and it was an awful experience. If you are in NY go anywhere else. There are so many great restaurants in NY that you can have a great meal and great service. Don’t waste your time here

Disorganization

By gianluca g |

We had a reservation for 7.30pm, they crowded us at the bar counter together with many other customers telling everyone that the table would be ready in a few minutes. At 8.10pm we left and I don't think they even noticed. It's a shame because other times we had a great time.

Make sure that your cc credit limit has plenty of girth

By George V |

Milos is a gorgious rastaurant , serving Mediterranean / Greek cuisine . It is not easy to get to , located on the fifth floor of a high end office tower in Hudson Yard on the west side of Manhattan . The food is terrific and the service even better . The downside is that this , even by NYC standards and incredibly expensive restaurant . Most entrees ranging between $65- 120 . and that is the affordable part of the meal. if you had any thoughts of ordering a bottle for less than a $100 , virtually not possible. majority of the wines are in the $250 1500 /bottle. Clearly this is not a restaurnat for the faint at heart. An expense account experience , for most.

Dinner befor the show

By JerseyShoreWill |

I chose this restaurant because it was a little farther from the hustle of Broadway and last time the tables were jammed so close together we couldn't hear anything. Not the case here. Spacious room, excellent food served in appropriate portion sizes. The prix fixe dinner was an excellent idea. The walnut cake dessert was surprisingly good. Everything was carefully chosen and prepared. Good, attentive service.

This place is past its prime.

By Stonesteps |

I think this place is past its prime. We have had many excellent dinners here, but I don't think we will return. We had a 7:45 reservation and when we arrived the place was packed with angry people waiting for tables for an hour. They were completely overbooked, which says something about their greed. We were finally seated after waiting 40 minutes and hosts only answer was "This is New York." The waiter and managers were great and even gave us a complimentary appetizer and dessert. But the fist recommended by the waitress and bland and cost over $100, which I would gladly pay for something that tasted amazing. It was just not worth it. They are a plethora Greek and other fish restaurants in New York that are better and less expensive.

If you want to lose money...

By Ocaram |

A famous place in NYC, it's supposed to be one of the finest greek / fish restaurant in NYC, and I have been there years ago invited for a business lunch and had a good memory of it, but let's be honest, this time for diner for two it was horrible ! First when we arrived there were no tables available despite our booking, 40min wait, total lack of respect, and then 600$ for two with 2 glass of wines ! Super noisy, horrible customers full of vulgarity, food and service were good but at this price it would be scandalous if it would not be the case :) Is it worth 600$ ? NO. Shall we go there again ? NO. There are may other good fish restaurants in NYC for much less

Greek = Seafood Not Gyros/Lamb

By odrew |

Not a huge fan of Greek food but this place was incredible. Fresh fish flown in from Greece and Turkey everyday. Service over the top, wine list pricing reasonable, food fabulous. Now one of my favorite restaurants in all of NYC and that is saying alot.

Outstanding Food and Service, at a Price

By edchair |

Milos is a very, very good restaurant. Our server was outstanding. The fresh fish selections are vast and a new patron needs help navigating the selections, which our server helped with great patience. The fish is fresh and very well prepared. The food is some of the best we ever have eaten. Just understand, this is a very expensive restaurant so be prepared for the bill. But other than that, this is one of the best meals i have had in quite a while.

Outstanding food!

By jules |

We did have a reservation and were seated immediately even though it was absolutely rammed. The service was perfect with someone table side quickly when anything was needed, Including the sommelier who noticed me completely overwhelmed by the extensive wine list and came and made a great suggestion that was reasonably priced and perfect for our taste. We ordered the appetizers of tuna tartare and octopus. The tuna was fresh and simple with olive oil and lemon and that’s all it needed as it was so delicious. My partners octopus which I’ve never been a fan of was so incredible I ate quite a bit of it which was okay by him as the serving was huge. Probably could have been an entree if we’d known but we ordered the Branzino for 2 with lemon potatoes for our side. Again, so fresh and delicious we moaned our way through the entire meal! We will definitely be back the next time we are in New York!

Not worth the exaggerated price

By dureid |

Very busy restaurant and food is not bad especially if sea food is ordered. Delicious salads and starters but you are to pay heavily an exaggerated price if fresh fish is ordered. They would even charge you for the salt they use for cooking the fish!!!

FISH!

By Kevin M |

The dining room is amazing with all the fish displayed on ice. Oysters were outstanding. Tomato salad was huge and great even though we ordered half an order. Dover sole was fantastic. Service beyond reproach.

Best Greek

Delicious food and delicious vibe! Milo’s is the best place for Greek food in Manhattan. You don’t even want to go anywhere else.

Great Mediterranean Restaurant

By Salwa A |

It was our first time.. our waiter was amazing, very kind and professional. The food was incredibly fresh and simple - my favourite was the milos special and lobster pasta.. a must try!

Exquisite

By Monica Nunez |

If you are in New York and looking for authentic Mediterranean food, this restaurant is a must-see. The quality of the food is extraordinary, and the best part is that you can choose the size of your fish, which guarantees freshness and a dish made to measure. The flavors are vibrant, a real explosion that transports to the Mediterranean. In addition, they have an extensive and well-selected wine list that perfectly complements each bite. An ideal place to enjoy delicious food in an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. Fully recommended!

A unique experience for fish

By dukeboy1951 |

A unique experience for fish people. Their claim to fame is their wall of fish from which to select. Fish is very fresh. That being said, the place is expensive. Our food quality was very good, but at $100.00 bucks per person plus liquor it is pricey. I had the lamb while my wife has the salmon. We shared a Greek salad. We went on a Sunday evening so it wasn’t crazy. crazy.inside, otherwise I would expect Friday/Saturday to be crazy nuts. Greek salad.

Would have been 5 stars but for a big failing

By BarryAscot |

I first visited Milos in this location back in 2015 and I raved about it, causing Milos to come to the notice of numerous serious diners, now regular customers. One of these is a famous American restauranteur and friend. Everything about this restaurant is usually superb. Unfortunately they let us down last night. I was going to book a table in their London restaurant for next month however this has put me off. We had a 9.00pm table reserved for Friday 25th September. Just for my son and I. Our waiter talked us through the various delicious sounding fish options. There was clearly an exceptional choice which was exactly why we had booked our table. We were then invited to accompany our waiter and select our fish from the dwindling display. Just one problem, the fish were all huge. There were single fish on display big enough for a family. There was absolutely nothing on display suitable for two people. The waiter explained that we would have to purchase a large fish because all the smaller ones were sold out. We started with two bigeye tuna tartar which was a little spicy. We were not expecting that and it wasn’t great. The smallest fish they had turned out to be 2.78 lbs, far too big for even two good appetites and for which we were charged $169.58 plus tax. The entire bill for two (and we barely drank) was $379.52. Of course I added 20% gratuity as the service here is excellent. However the executive chef needs a slap, with a 2.78 lb fish!

Outstanding Greek

By Daniel |

Outstanding salt fish, good bread and great salads , great selection of seafood. Nice atmosphere and good service. Good selection of wines

Worst dining experience ever!!!

By Sunshine775054 |

To say the service was terrible would be an understatement. Server & staff were rude, insulting and arrogant! The food was cold, steak burned & fish bland. The food was well below par. Maybe if we had drinks it would have been better. Oh wait, he didn’t ask if we wanted any. Food took forever! Don’t bother complaining to management/staff. They responded by blaming us for being early, taking an attitude & arguing with us. Btw, we were 10 min. early for our 9:15 reservation. We finally escaped our misery 2.5 hours later, only to be shafted with an outrageous bill for a crappy meal that didn’t even include alcohol. We sure needed a drink when we left! No offer of apology, no discount, no Comp, just the shaft on the last night of our trip. Ended a great trip leaving us all angry & dismayed. Run as far away from this place as you can!

High end Greek fish and seafood

By vasile123 |

We were there for lunch on restaurant week. The place is big, it has three floors and a nice lively atmosphere. It tries to give you an impression of seaside on a Greek island. It was crowded but we had a reservation and we were on the lower floor which was more quiet; it suited us fine as we had catching up to do . The servers were nice and prompt and the food ( most of us had the dorade) was excellent.

Greek food at its finest

By N_Tzempelikos |

We came in for lunch, and were satisfied with every aspect of it. It is a wonderful restaurant, of very high standard throughout. Classy but yet friendly, not 'touristy' despite the location - midtown New York, just steps from central park. The food was awesome, ingredients were fresh. Simple but great. A great representation of good, authentic Greek food. The portions were rather small (though somewhat expected for a fine dining restaurant), and the prices were reasonable for a restaurant of this calibre. The team members were very helpful and took such good care of us. We loved this place and will definitely come back when in New York again.

Outstanding Lunch, Thanks to Beto O’Rourke!

By Jonathan B |

My wife and I had lunchtime reservations at a different restaurant, but Presidential Candidate Beto O’Rourke and his entourage were having lunch there, and that restaurant called to cancel our reservations. Fortunately, we managed to secure an early table at Milos. The ambience was elegant and sophisticated. The service was as good as you’ll ever get anywhere. The food, oh yes, the food...everything was bursting with flavor, light—not heavy, and beautifully presented. I have to give special mention to the oysters, which were as fresh and flavorful as any I have had anywhere. Also, the soft-shelled crabs were better than any I’ve ever had! Thank you Milos for an exceptional food experience!

Best Fish ever

By Carla |

I come sometimes for lunch and we always have a good experience. My favorites are the Grilled fish, the Octopus and Grilled Mushrooms. I'm still going to try the rest of the menu.

No title

I was at restaurant, and I was amazed by the price of halibut at $50 plus a glass of wine!! Highway robbery... I had better halibut elsewhere.... completely a rip off!!!

Excellent Experience

By P Michael |

We decided to Eat @Milos at the last minute and It was the best decision we made this Mother's Day Weekend! Anna our Server was amazing, bringing food in a timely manner, keeping our drinks full and recommending some of the best food I have had in Manhattan in 2025! Chef Andres does not disappoint, there was no food left on our table uneaten! From appetizers to main course and Recommendations for Dessert and coffee One bite was better than the next! We will return and Keep Up the Excellent Work!

EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS

By Sim |

Brilliant food, service and staff! Honestly cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely revisit when I’m back in NY. The experience was one of my highlights and will be a staple go-to whenever I’m in NY! I’m so pleased I came across this restaurant and it will honestly go down as one of my favourite dining experiences ever!!! One of my fave restaurants in the world! I visited Milos on a Wednesday evening and from the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted with big smiles and exceptional warmth and attention from staff. Our waiter initially asked whether we had any theatre plans and when we said yes and explained we were on a bit of time limit, he went above and beyond to ensure we got through all three courses on time but without rushing us or making us feel flustered. Throughout our evening we were greeted by several members of staff who wanted to ensure we were comfortable and were generally super chatty and friendly but without being overbearing or annoying! The atmosphere was on another level, the restaurant has such a lovely ambiance (admittedly I visited after seeing Kim Kardashian dine here and thought it looked like a cool place to check out when I visited NY!) and it exceeded my expectations on all levels! Despite the restaurant being really busy, all of the waiters and staff had such a calm energy and I got a real sense of friendship and laughter between them which was lovely to witness, but also it transmitted onto us as customers which was nice as it made our experience extra enjoyable. And of course, all of the food was just fantastic, the Milos classic is a must! Cannot fault a single thing, 100% fabulous from beginning to end!!!

Pre-Theatre Dinner

Go Greek for Rose all Day!

By kathyh303 |

I had never tried Greek wines and by the way, that is the only option here at the Milos downstairs bar in Hudson Yards Mall. We wandered in looking for a nice glass of wine and were pleasantly surprised by this upscale, trendy bar. You have to check out the upstairs main dining room, it is huge, and was obviously very popular and crowded. For the Greek Rose tasting we paired it with awesome scallops, tzatziki, grilled pita and mini gyros. I swear the mini gyros were only about $2.00 !!!

Fabulous Greek Food

By Travelholic |

We had a wonderful lunch for our party of nine. The meal was served family style. Beware some of the dishes take one hour to prepare and our server had not warned us. That being said the meal was outstanding. The overall decor of the restaurant was modern and beautiful. It was nice to see NY up and running at full capacity at this restaurant during lunchtime which I have not seen for a while due to the pandemic.

Great discovery one of the best restaurants in manattan I recommend great food excellent service price a little expensive but you eat great

great selection of very fresh seafood, great service

By niagarariverfatman |

Estiatorio Milos is one restaurant in NYC that we like to visit each time we visit. The quality and selection of fresh seafood is outstanding and they fish is alway prepared to perfection.

I love this place for lunch

By Trollman |

I love this place for lunch it has a great lunch menu the fish always fresh and the service is great so do give it a try

Spectacular Greek cuisine

By Adrienne C |

Milos has a very clean, pristine atmosphere. Lots of crisp white which reminds you of Santorini and the sea. Everything we tried on the menu was top-notch. The octopus was very tender, and our side of grilled veggies / halloumi cheese was wonderful. I particularly liked the roasted eggplant. I also really enjoyed my prawn entrée with orzo, feta and veggies, though I was slightly disappointed there were only two prawns. The restaurant is definitely on the pricey side (a bit overpriced in my opinion), but the food is amazing. In comparison to Avra, I think Avra has better value but the food at both are first-rate.

Simply Excellent

By PlatinumHoney |

The freshest best fish I’ve had in a very long time...choose the one you want, including share for the table, and voila, it is cooked to perfection, filleted and served. Add a couple of sides (fingerling potatoes, excellent; and asparagus) after a shared appetizer (3 types of hummus [my least favorite part of the meal] and warm pita triangles), some terrific wine and $500 later for 4 and a satisfying dining experience for all. Yes, a bit noisy even for a weekday evening; service terrific, too. All-round, recommend.

Estiatorio Milos

By Annette V |

I visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. It is such a lovely place. It was bright and upscale. From the beginning, we felt very welcomed. The service was superb and the food was so fresh and decadent. I will definitely return here, however, next time it will be with my significant other. For an different dining experience, I would recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Great restaurant

By androsvt |

Great restaurant with excellent seafood. Ambiance is lovely though some areas are quite noisy. The service was very good and the wine list was excellent. The big eye tuna tartare was the best I have ever had.

One of the best fish restaurant ever !

By Luca T |

Amazing experience during a business trip in NY, exciting vibe and incredible food in a elegant location. The king crab from Florida is a must which I strongly encourage to try !

Horrible service

By poska30 |

Horrible service, the waiters are rude and in a rush you to pay... never going back this place, bad , bad experience

A lovely and DELICIOUS dinner

By Gloria B |

We have eaten in this restaurant in Las Vegas. We had such a good meal. We decided to try it in New York City. We were not disappointed, to say the least. The food was incredible. The fish could not have been fresher. Our “fishing waiter” Artemio could not have could not have given us better advice about what to eat! We have never tasted a scallop so delicious. He advised us to eat it sushi style and it was incredible.!!! Best ever!! The octopus was incredible as well. Cannot say enough about the meal and what a lovely evening we had!

Dinner with friends

By LisaAnn52 |

This restaurant is definitely one of the best. The service and food were fantastic. It was perfectly located so close to my hotel as well.

Perhaps the best restaurant I ate at in NY

By Doctorzebra |

We arrive on the advice of Italian friends, upon reservation. A large room with very high ceilings and immense windows, the service is welcoming and extremely attentive. High quality fish, expertly prepared, excellent wine list and stratospheric desserts. Consistent prices but leaving so satisfied from a dinner is not at all a given.

Great fish and great staff

By LuisVega2014 |

A great atmosphere with good size of the dishes. Had a great bass baked in salt, absolutely perfect. Great facilities with a nice culture. Would love going again.

a restaurant week treat

By GBoseman |

Went during Restaurant week , so menu was limited but enjoyed the experience -started with the Greek Salad, entrée Atlantic Char both fresh and tasty' my daughter had the calamari (small portion) with unimpressive sauce and the catch of the day (grouper) which she enjoyed and the inclusive dessert- the honey lavender ice cream was a pleasant and memorable touch _service was attentive despite the reduce fare offered by the special promotion - worth a return visit

One waiter can bring down a restaurant

By George D |

Raul ruined it. Everything was amazing but our server Raul was rude, uptight, and ruined the total experience. We loved the food and drink and the atmosphere other than a really bad server. We loved Mohammad who also came by to help us when Raul was ignoring us. All of the staff from the manager to the other waiters were amazing. Really disappointed that I had to leave a bad review since it would have been five stars except for a bad waiter. We will try again one day and hopefully the service reflects the quality of the restaurant.

Attitude and always seem to push the most expensive items.....

By Illcobs |

Great food but have you ever noticed that the waiters and waitresses at Milos always push the most expensive option?? Either more fish than you need or the most expensive ones? Or the most expensive wines? Also, wine by the glass servings are skimpy. If you are going to charge those prices, at least be fair on the pour. Also, hostesses have attitude and are a bit clueless. They are often rude on the phone (like they are doing you a favor answering the phone) and have attitude when you arrive. I called a few weeks ago and they said nothing available until 9:30pm. Then went on open table and booked 6:30 reservation. At 7:30pm, the place still had empty tables. Attitude getting old....food good, too bad, I would go a lot more often if they had better attitude.

Perfection!

By NCTrip10 |

Beautiful restaurant! Our meal was so good! Loved picking out our fresh fish. My friend noticed the soft shell crabs, and she had that as appetizer! She said it was the best she has ever had!! Our fish was grilled to perfection! And had the roasted vegetables, too! No dessert, but enjoyed an Expresso martini which was perfection!!!

Failing at every point

By KBK |

We ordered a bottle of white wine that was taken from us to be cooled. We had to ask for wine EVERY SINGLE time. If a waiter takes the bottle, they need to make sure the glass is never empty, the way it is supposed to be. We took sole (whole, grilled). It cost $75 a pound and was very mediocre - no taste, and no real culinary art involved. Their Milos special (zucchini chips and Greek yogurt of some kind inside) was just that - chips and yogurt, stuffed calamari was good, but it was just ONE stuffed calamari. Verdict: expensive, nothing special about the food and unattantive service. Our waiter was worse than the one we had to catch asking to bring our wine back.

Fresh and tasty

By C.G |

The food was fresh and tasty. Beautiful environment. The fish was the best. We will definitely go there again.

Disqusting

By pansari9 |

I had food here, and it was completely disgusting. There was hair in my food!!!!!! They brought the wrong items, and ruined our whole dinner. If I could give a negotiate ratinf I would..... the worst food I have had in nyc. The staff wasn't at all good or responsive and the manager actually told me I don't know, no one has long hair in the kitchen.

New favorite NYC restaurant!

By Jade B |

Amazing fresh fish, prepared simply with Mediterranean flavors. Absolutely outstanding meal. Great place for a business meal or a date. Three course lunch menu was $35.

Totally Excellent

By David D |

The fish is simply excellent. You will not find better fish nor better prepared. And the service was also tops. This is one of those places that makes NY City so special.

View, taste and environment

By Larissa F |

We went at sunset and enjoy the view from the vessel, the dust was fantastic, delicious hummus too, very good ceviche! Great experience

excellent seafood

By niagarariverfatman |

My wife and I had dinner there a couple of nights ago. We started with stone crab claws. they were the largest stone crab claws I have ever seen. Then we shared a dorado, grilled to perfection. A salad and a bottle of Greek chardonnay rounded our meal. everything was excellent

Weekend in NY

By deadlegsone |

Overall an excellent meal. We felt it was overpriced. We selected fish from the special selection and it was cooked to perfection. The scallops were outstanding as was the octopus. We usually don’t concern ourselves with the price but felt this was excessive. With all the choices available we will probably not return

Not outstanding

By foodiescrumptious51 |

The restaurant was busy and there was a good buzzy atmosphere. We also had a premium table with a view. Whilst the food was absolutely delicious, the service although polite, was pushy and intrusive, for a couple who wanted a good night out and to catch up over great food and wine. Staff were far more interested in upselling or fawning over regulars than providing a memorable experience.

Expensive and Deceptive

By Ron G |

We went to Milos this weekend for an early dinner. The staff was able to accommodate us a nice table arriving just after opening. The restaurant offers a pre-theater fixed price menu that is reasonable at around $50 per person with ok options for a appetizer, main and desert. If you stick to that then you should be ok and pleased. If you order fish off the main menu you may be shocked. Almost everything seems to be market priced and is very (and unreasonably) expensive. My wife ordered Dover sole. The waiter was evasive over the prices of the fish and as part of the experience they want to take you to a display of fish on ice to help you choose. If this experience is something you want or like then this is the place for you. However, be aware that a 1lb (small) Dover sole is $65 and aide dishes are extra. We found much better value and experience (environnement and service) at other restaurants and won’t be coming back.

Warning

By MargCup |

Warning - apparently despite booking weeks in advance they put you in the basement or a crappy table by the door / hostess stand unless you know the restaurant well enough to ask for a proper table when you book.

Very high quality fish

By Paola F |

Objectively one of the best restaurants in Manhattan. Excellent quality fish and Greek cuisine. Very nice environment and very kind and attentive staff Excellent wines

Great selection of Fresh Seafood

By Kate C |

Very good fresh fish and seafood. Ambiance is interesting but a bit crowded- particularly the entry way and area near the bar. Food was good, simple, fresh. Wine selection, mainly Greek and complimented the food. Service ok. Tables close together.

Excellent

By Ross |

Very nice place with good fish. We enjoyed the food and service. Also pasta with lobster was very well prepared. Prices ar in line with Manhattan

Excellent

By Roquever |

Went there on a Friday evening, just by myself as i was on business trip. The atmosphere was great. Staff was welcoming and kind. The "captain" took me to pick a fish on the stall and gave me good advice. Excellent starter (Octopus and humus). Very good selection of wine. (As my Saint-Pierre was taking a bit more time than expected to be served they brought me a second glass for free). I tried Baklava for desert and this one was so so. But the rest: excellent!! Prices can get a bit high, but you have fresh fish or seafood and a nice restaurant!

A memorable dinner in Manhattan

By JFCGO |

If you look for a fish meal in NY, this is the place. Gorgeous fish from Portugal, Spain and Greece. The restaurant itself is very trendy, with a great atmosphere.

Service Was Terrible!!

By Ihearttravel100 |

I’ve eaten here many times in the past, and have had outstanding meals and service. Last night’s terrible service ruined the whole experience. We were there for over 3 hours, and maybe saw our waiter 2x in that time. It’s not like we were just nursing drinks and got an appetizer… we got 2 bottles of wine, the salt crusted branzino, multiple appetizers, and our bill was over $800 for 3 people. We waited at least 40 minutes before the waiter even came over to take our order, and since we knew the branzino takes an hour to prepare, we wanted to get the order in as soon as possible. Rarely was anyone coming to refill our water and wine, so we just did it ourself. I don’t know if it was because we were outside, but it just was disastrous service.

Lovely but not worth price

By JJexplorer |

For 2 - Grilled fish, 1 Greek salad, 1 beet salad, 1 side of asparagus, 1 dessert, 2 glasses (least expensive) wine. It was very good. For $330, it was not that good. You can find just as good a meal in NYC for a quarter of the price. And had it cost that, I would have given it at least 4 stars.

Saturday Brunch

By Robert R |

My party of six family had brunch. My wife and I have eaten at least 10 times at the Las Vegas location and decided to try the NYC location. The Vegas location has a fantastic lunch special (appetizer, entree, dessert) for a very reasonable price and we were hoping for this in NYC, Well, no such luck and the prices were typical NYC fine dining prices, but the food was as good or better than Vegas. Service was very good. Overall a nice way to spend 2 hours.

Great Seafood at Milos in NYC

By KoKo2014 |

When my friends suggested Milos in NYC, my immediate response was that I do not like Greek food. But they said it's really not Greek food, but it's seafood. I went and tried lunch there with two friends and I was very happy with the quality of the food and service. It was a bit noisy upstairs, so I asked for a quiet table downstairs which was perfect. There was a prix fixe lunch on a weekday and the portions and pricing were both satisfactory. Service was excellent and the washroom was beautiful! There was even an elevator for physically challenged customers. Now I'm dying to try the first Milos in Montreal!

Simple food perfectly prepared - very celiac friendly

By Stephen P |

Perfect grilled octopus as good as ani I’ve had in Greece. The milos seafood platter was perfection. Attic char and lamb chops simply and expertly prepared. Very helpful staff for my daughter with celiac disease. The chef made sure to avoid cross contamination using fresh oil for fries!

Great fish selections!!

By Todd |

Helpful waitstaff walked us through describing all of the fish selections and showed us the cooler of all the fresh fish!! Great wine selection. Nice ambience!!

MP of fish 99 dollars a pound.

By Marc J |

one of the biggest ripoffs in Manhattan. MP charge on fish was 99 dollars a pound. This restaurant should be padlocked for creating a self creating pricing scheme that destroys the beauty of eating out in NYC. I spoke to management who explained Corporate controls the pricing system for importing from Greece. What a great disappointment in preparing simple fish with olive oil....This restaurant operates on the belief no person eating here will say anything to the waiter. I believe the waiter owes it to themselves to advise each and every customer the charge relating to MP. I am a trade finance person and it is difficult to talk to staff who are operating in an environment with out any knowledge of the real story except to ripoff people who are on vacation or trying to enjoy a decent meal.

Wonderfully fresh!

By Gabrielle M |

Simplicity at it’s best, loved it.......... I have no idea how they can get something so simple, tasting so out of this world.

Simply amazing !

By Riff M |

It is hard to believe this is the same restaurant described in the previous review?? I came from California to visit my sister We met with 2 cousins who live inNYC and we chose this restaurant for a reunion lunch From the moment we all arrived there was wonderful service! The staff was kind enough to bring me bandaid for a cut on my finger The wait staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the food When I asked a question about wine they brought over the sommelier who was also quite pleasant and helpful! We found the menu to be interesting and varied We all ended up with the prix fixe lunch but ordered different things From salads to oysters to the Greek appetizer plate we enjoyed tasting There are fish, veggie and meat options for the main course I loved my lamb chops which were cooked to perfection! The 3 dessert options included fresh fruit for those who wanted to be"good" I chose the cakes and ice cream which was luscious! We had a very leisurely visit My NY relatives enjoyed the meal so much they immediately started to think of other special occasions for a return visit I highly recommend this restaurNt

It’s amazing! The place and

It’s amazing! The place and food are perfect! We celebrate my cousin’s birthday there. The desert is wonderfull! I chose an iogurt with honey!

Generally an excellent restaurant, but too crowded and noisy

By Swiss_Goat |

It was in 2003 when I had discovered Milos in New York upon the recommendation of a local friend. I loved coming here, but last time and on this occasion, I felt the place to be too busy and too loud - long line at the reception counter all evening and tables too close to each other and people basically packed into the space. Maybe it had always been like this and I just got older! The service and food still good though, but not as enjoyable overall. It is somewhat different when visiting the sister restaurant in London.

Wonderful seafood and tastes in a contemporary but comfortable environment.

By Stephen C |

It was a business dinner mid week and the place was packed. The bar is not conducive to a leisurely drink but it served as a good waiting spot while the others arrived. We were sat in the quieter section downstairs and this suited us for ease of conversation. The dips, octopus, salad and the Tartare were all delicious and I loved their breads. Their speciality is the whole fish that are kept on ice and on display for you to choose. We were not disappointed and the lamb chops were also very tasty. Decent wine list and attentive service makes this an excellent restaurant.

Great atmosphere but food for me on the day was a little underwhelming

By 1879fulham |

A very nicely furnished restaurant. On a Tuesday night the restaurant was packed from 5.30 pm onwards. Very popular with locals and tourists alike. Service was impeccable and very attentive. Menu looked interesting with a lot of choices although I have to say that the dishes I chose (calamari starter followed by crab cake) were both a bit underwhelming and were not particularly great. I have certainly had better elsewhere. Would I come here again probably yes but I would certainly let choose some of the other dishes. Of course you are in NY so no way is this restaurant a cheap option

Will be back

By Go100go |

Awesome experience with top service, great food and the atmosphere is top. The fish was delicious. Will be back.

Below oyt expectation

By Sebcic |

We like Milos London a lot so decided to visit Milos at Hudson Yards. It was quite a disappointment after London. They do not care about gluten free dining. They did not have gluten free bread( London always has them and take it very serious). They fried my fish although i stated i was gluten free eater. Maybe it is new and the staff is trying to adopt but they need to be more careful.

Fine Greek restaurant of impeccable quality

By Waldo Perez |

Greek restaurant with diverse and delicious dishes. The selection of wines is also very good. The place is spacious and has a beautiful view of the Hudson Yards area. My sashimi entry is my lunch fish was absolutely impeccable and light. I highly recommend the restaurant

Overpriced and invisible

By ingridcary |

We were looking forward to dining here...soulless, perfunctory service, bland food and loud. Service staff never spoke to us, filling glasses, clearing table etc and not one word. Waiter only took order and never returned . Super expensive for what it is (no wine by bottle for less then 85?) and the portions are not generous for sharing. Better choices nearby, disappointing all around.

Outdoor Seating and a Great Evening

By Freddy A |

The food was outstanding. Had the grilled octopus and mixed sauces with pita and vegetables. Main course of Scallops with Greek potatoes was out of this world. Atmosphere and service was amazing.

great service but pricey for reduced size wines

By Shivad |

The place is nice looking and service was fine. But note the wine was only 4 oz which is disappointing. One sliver of octopus for $10 was also overpriced. This is not acceptable given the competition in the area. I am an investor in a wine bar in DC and we give our patrons more value.

The best fish in NY and beyond…

The best seafood in New York and beyond… Great table service, open kitchen and exceptionally clean toilets. Adequate price

Amazing fish

Truly excellent fresh fish. The Milos Special - a tower of fried zucchini and eggplant chips- is wonderful. The sommalier was very helpful and the wine was superb.

NYC Experience

By THUNDERHORSE |

Had a business lunch with some out-of-towners so they could feel the latest trendy NYC experience.....the upscale shops....a view of modern architecture ( the Vessel )...and a good selection of culinary choices. The wait staff is very attentive and courteous and the food prepared very well....even under the pressure of the daily volume. Portions are not large of course but link your meal together with some bread, olive oil, appetizers, Greek wine and dessert and you will feel satisfied. Note that they close from 2:30 to 5 daily and are closed all day Wednesday

Nice, but I wouldn't run back.

By Richard C |

Clean modern place with excellent staff. Fish is on display and very, very expensive. We had the price fixed option that was reasonably priced. Excellent quality of fish. The price fixed menu has a wine option, but it is only one glass (6 oz); additional glasses cost more. Many Greek wines; the California wines are pricey.

Bravo!!!!!

Yes, it is very expensive. My glass of Cab was $32. But you get spoiled rotten and the food is amazing. It's totally worth it. We started with the oysters. They were perfect. And then we selected from the $65 pre-fix menu. This is a lot of food and I ended up taking a lot home. I had the grilled octopus appetizer; the grilled dorado and a huge and very fresh fruit salad for dessert. It was all perfect. The servers were all very sweet and attentive. This is my go to when I go to a midtown show. BUT!!! Advice - When making reservations state emphatically that you do not want to sit by the busy coat check/service area or that's where they'll put you. My seating was the only downside of my birthday celebration. Otherwise this would have been five stars all the way. Bravo Estiatorio Milos!!!

Excellent Greek restaurant

By juananmiami |

Very friendly cameras. Very good food. First he advised the octopus. Second the browning or pasta with lobster. Greek yogurt with honey for dessert

Bad prix fixe

By Splendid C |

Seriously disappointing lunch. The prix fixe lunch has a lot of options but the food is not fresh. The calamari is adequate but the grilled fish is far from fresh and tasted days old or frozen. The desserts are nice. The outdoor area is also very pleasant. The food is not a good reflection of Milos’ ability.

Simply delicious

By Wrldadvent |

Really simple ingredients prepared well. Service was excellent, prompt, helpful. We are family style giving us the options to try quite a few dishes. Fish cooked with salt and beef were very well prepared. Octopus and calamari were excellent too!!!

Best restaurant week meal

Reasonably sized portions. Extremely fresh fish. Simply but excellently prepared. Hope to go back soon

Biggest scam in New York!

By Randall M |

Biggest scam in New York! Sat us 40 min after our reservation! Never asked what we wanted for drinks. The service was I will never go there again. terrible and it was way overdue for what we received!

Wonderful view, incredible food!

Restaurant inside Mall Hudson Yards, with wonderful views, impeccable atmosphere and decor. Excellent service, great wine list.

Overly expensive with medium selection

By BALDWIN2 |

We visited them for the first time aspiring for greek food we know very well. We were disappointed by the relatively small of greek selections and the very high pricees for thew wines. Main dishes we ate were very good but small. It is also very noisy

Great service along with very tasty and high quality food in a pleasant atmosphere. Only drawback is that it’s not cheap but when you leave the restaurant you think more taste of the food than the bill

Too big to manage

By Shlomo N |

Manager was terrible, fish took 1.5 hours, refused to cancel it. Plus there was cockroaches everywhere. Made a scene. Since they extended the restaurant to include outdoors it’s going downhill.

mixed feeling, fish is good..but...

Our dinner at Estiatorio Milos Midtown for seven people had highs and lows. The loup de mer was fantastic—super fresh and cooked to perfection, definitely a standout. However, the grilled calamari, crab cake, soft shell crab, octopus, and scallops were average, not matching the upscale reputation. The service was frustrating; our table was so small we had to rearrange plates ourselves to fit new dishes. Even after asking the servers to slow down, they kept bringing food quickly and didn’t bother clearing or adjusting the table. At $1,600 for seven (including two bottles of wine), the price felt excessive for the so-so dishes and subpar service. The elegant, whitewashed ambiance is lovely, but the cramped setup and lack of staff attention were letdowns. I recommend requesting a bigger table to avoid the hassle.

Exceptional experience. Delightful staff, terrific food and presentation. For such a large restaurant its mind blowing how outstanding everything was The food and service were stellar. Food was properly seasoned. Great wine selection. Everything was way overpriced, but so is everything in NYC. I will be back

Wonderful place I went both for lunch and dinner and everything was great. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the Seafood choices were extensive. A very good wine list adds to the whole experience

Upsold Purposefully

By Michael Solazzo |

Ordered the halibut, waiter informed us they were all out. Then ordered the tuna, waiter informed us they were out. Told him no worries, asked if there was another similar fish he would suggest. Got the bill $190 piece of fish!!! Totally upsold. Wasn't about the money at all. It was done on purpose. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me there.

Good food, could easily be done better

Company dinner with 20 people. Restaurant was full and very noisy. Food was good but not spectacular like you would expect at this price. Slow serving, but good wine pairing.

Excellent Greek Restaurant in Midtown NY

By Jo T |

The food here seems to be amazing. We had a set menu chosen by someone who likes fish and seafood which I can't eat (!) but I had some Gigantes which were delicious. Good atmosphere and decent Greek wine. Not sure if the staff where Greek!

Overpriced and not welcoming at all

By KonstantinaGiak |

Being Greek I can say that there was nothing Greek about this restaurant except of the food .. I visited for dinner with my 11 y old daughter, while we are visiting New York but we live in London. Nobody of course spoke Greek, the rest of the clients seemed to me as if they were in business meetings, groups of 5-10 men in round tables, loud and of course nobody cares about the prices as their companies pay the bills . Very loud and impersonal!

beautiful selection of fresh seafood and seafood, simply prepared PERFECTION

By niagarariverfatman |

great selection of fresh seafood and fish. the biggest stone crab claws I have ever seen and they were very good, very fresh. Great service, nice selection of wines. gluten free options not a problem. My wife and I shared a grilled fish and it was perfect. With some lemon and a little oil and capers, the way we like it, no fancy sauces!!! looking forward to another visit

Please don’t order octupus - CRUELTY!

By 1Harry Donnelly! |

Just look up about octopuses, how they have a brain in each tentacle and have 3 hearts, and you’ll realize that to have one of these animals to be painfully murdered for a novelty munchie, is not an option. Thank you very much.

The Branzino is very expensive and the price is not marked

By Thomas L |

We went to Milo's on Memorial Day weekend just as restaurants were opening up in NYC to full capacity. This is a seafood restaurant and we all ordered fish. You can go up to a counter where the fish is laid out and pick yours. The prices were generally in the range of $50 per pound but that is for a whole fish with many parts you will not be eating. My wife and I chose a branzino, which did not have a label indicating the price. The fish wound up costing us more than $150 and was barely enough for two. A plate of grilled vegetables was extra and again very expensive. The best part of the meal was the octopus appetizer, which I recommend. We ordered one of the cheapest wines on the menu, which was Greek and excellent to accompany seafood. The fish was cooked to perfection but was not served with the protocol we are used to seeing in Italy. My wife and I travel to Italy often and will always order branzino when it is on the menu. The last time we did so was on Capri in a restaurant with excellent service, a jaw dropping cliffside view of the Med, excellently cooked and served branzino and a price tag half that of Milo's. If you want good seafood with average service and do not care how much it costs, this place is a good choice.

Nice find

Excellent restaurant serving Mediterranean-Greek cuisine. Not cheap like all the good restaurants in New York. Very large but very nice restaurant inside with very kind staff.

We expected more

By mayaraveloso |

The quality of food is good and fish was fresh. However I have been in Greece and other Greek and Mediterranean restaurants in NYC and definitely there are better options in Manhattan. We always dine in high end restaurants and for the price point, the food should be better and have larger portions.

Rude and obnoxious

By Bob S |

Have been many times and always a great time. Last night, however the front of the house was run by 3 little girls better suited to a Waffle House. 20 minutes after reservation time when I enquired was told quite rudely “that’s just how it is.” Since that’s the case they have lost my business and I will not be back. The food is good - it’s not that good…

Disappointing pandemic lunch

By Bob Myers |

Milos has always been a good choice for superb grilled fish, but the other day I let myself be persuaded to try the lobster salad. Bad idea. Although it was a whole lobster, there were four of us and, as good as the lobster was, there just wasn't enough. The problem was the waiter -- clearly new -- who should have warned us more directly. Unfortunately, although we eventually got enough food with a plate of meze and an order of frites, along with dessert (quite good) and cold much-delayed coffee which had clearly sat around for too long, it all took too long as our waiter had vanished. Wasn't the kitchen's fault, as they were experiencing an underflow crowd. When we return (hopefully soon) said waiter will also hopefully be gone. I would also suggest that management had taken its eye off the ball. We were seated at the reception area, but got no attention from any of the staff who were standing around.

Good food
