On a recent visit to NYC, we went for dinner enjoying both our starters and mains so much we went back again. Great value and good service.

My husband and I had an amazing dinner with exceptional service. Food was absolutley delicious. We will be back next time we come visit the city.

Visited twice on our holiday. Local to our apartment and really good. Atmosphere relaxed with attentive and helpful staff. Food was really good on both occasions. Will definitely visit again when back in NY.

The wine list had all of my favorite Italian wines - I wish I could visit this restaurant every day just to go through their wine list. Food is excellent and nice portions.

Was very excited to try this restaurant as it has great reviews. Even Jen Lawrence ate here. We love the location as it is far from the extremely busy tourist area. Small place. Food is average. We had a burrata for the appetizer and it was not as creamy as the burrata should be. We had better ones somewhere else. My husband had a pasta dish but it was way too al dente. My pasta was good, perfect al dente and balance of sauce. A friend had the salmon and it was a little undercooked to her liking. All in all, it is an average restaurant, not bad but won’t say great.

There are zillions of Italian restaurants in NY. Felice is one that is really good. It's tucked away on First Avenue, a bit out of the mainstream. Someone in the kitchen at Felice really knows how to cook Italian. Each dish we had was outstanding. My knees go weak when I tuck into good gnocchi in gorgonzola sauce, and after eating Felice's version I could barely stand up! It was a total Yum. Yes, the tables are small and a bit crammed in. Yes, Felice can be noisy, but to me it's the sound of delighted customers exclaiming over their good fortune in discovering this great place. We will be going back soon. By the way, it's a good place for families with kids too. Very welcoming.

We had a friend visiting from India and decided to take her for a good Italian so my son chose Felice 64. Its tiny homely and noisy since its always packed. Lot of young girls in small groups and then retired looking couples. The wine was rather nice, not too sharp and we had to have it standing as our table was not free despite a reservation. Then we ordered so many starters that we finally ended up sharing the Sea Bass. But everything tasted good and novel. Left to myself I always order a pizza or a pasta so this was a refreshing change and we had a good time.

This is a nice little modern Italian restaurant. They have great appetizers; check out the carpaccios! My grilled salmon was excellent. The restaurant is a little small so reservations may be required. It is also very loud so if you are looking for quiet conversation, this is not the best place. Otherwise, it's great and highly recommended.

This place is a younger cousin of St. Ambroeus on Madison Ave. Really good food but a little loud because the place is tiny. Might be really good for lunch.

Finally ....a good real italian restaurant. ..i loved the candles on the table and the big bottles on the top

While I'm not often in the neighborhood I was thrilled with a spur of the moment dinner we had there. Not only was the food very delicious and authentically Italian, the service was excellent without being overly solicitous. They served one of the best lamb dishes I've had in a while, a roast shoulder portion that almost melted. Fresh Pasta special with an uncommon twist and good salad with crisp clean dressing - everything we had was top of the line. As expected the wine election was great, of course heavily Italian but including some of my favorite less common types and most at very competitive cost. [and regarding cost, in one of the city's most expensive areas a meal this good is priced very well - just possibly more than one may expect] Overall we a wonderful dinner on a quite evening, but the design is a bit spartan and I can see it may become too crowded and noisy on popular nights.

A lovely Italian restaurant. Nice selection of wines . Found a white wine from Friuli area which is hard to find “Tocai” . Food and service was very good . We had a nice bottle of wine and a few appetizers.

The first time was at night at the bar and we loved it. Every time I passed by, it was full inside and on the sidewalk but we were finally able to get a table for brunch. I ordered something unique (crostone con avocado) and I absolutely loved it. I even ate the onions even though I usually hate onions. The macchiato was perfect. The water served with no ice is exactly how I like it. The only thing I was not so happy about the freshly squeezed orange juice did not seem freshly squeezed but it was still good. I will definitely come back for dinner, and have some wine as well.

Pleasant hostes is welcoming you with a beautiful smile, very dirty table tops, mediocre Italian cuisine

made my twice yearly trip to felice 64 and was not disappointed at all. Food is still top notch and if you sit at the bar, which is small, try to go on a night when Lucia is working. a great bartender, beautiful woman and one of the most pleasant people you will ever run across. the place is small noisy but so good you will go back

Charming is the best way to describe this Italian restaurant. Tables are set up more for couples than larger parties. Has a romantic feel - dimly lit and charming, not stuffy or pretentious (and the kitchen is willing to make substitutions). Food is excellent. I had the Pasta Carbonara with light cream sauce, my wife had the salmon over broccoli rabe. Gelato Sundae dessert was surprisingly good. Service is great, friendly but not over-invloved. Wife loved that they had a full bar, not just wine and beer.

I spent an evening with a group of colleagues at Felice 64. The food was tasty, service was great and the atmosphere cozy. I had the mussels for starters... Highly reccommend !!! I had a beef steak for main course but sadly it was overcooked. This was not a problem after I alerted the waiter whom had the kitchen prepare a new one straight away. Overcooking can happen anywhere, it's the resolution that matters. Also the steak was one of the best I've had! I will most definitely return to this restaurant duringmy next visit.

Wandered into Felice early one evening without a booking but had no problem securing a table. Place was very busy and turnover was fairly fast. Service was excellent - staff extremely polite and informative without going over the top. Food was great. Such a wonderful selection of fresh authentic Italian food. Portions are good size and deserts were great. Don't want to recommend anything specific as I think the entire menu is worth exploring!!! So in short, one restaurant worth returning to in the near future

This is easily one of my favorite Italian restaurants in NYC. From the candlesticks illuminating each table to the super friendly staff, what's not to love? And the food… amazing! Any place that makes their own pasta is notches above others in my book. Try a few (if not all) of the crostonis if you can, each pairing is better than the last.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Service was great as well. Incredible wine selection. The gelato was splendid.

My husband and I were looking for a perfect place to celebrate good news on a weekday this past June near the Hospital for Special Surgery. We happened upon Felice Wine Bar and couldn’t have been happier. We got a quaint little table outside on a warm summer afternoon and were greeted by a beautiful waitress (my husband swears he didn’t notice how pretty she was lol). She introduced us to an amazing bottle of red wine just a bit above our price range and we had the most delicious lunch. Will definitely be back!!

Stopped in for cocktails after dinner with my cousin and I sat at the bar. I tried the French Mule without the cherry vodka and just plain vodka. It was very good! My cousin tired the apple rum drink and it was a little too strong for her (she normally doesn't drink rum). The atmosphere is so cute and cozy with dark wood walls, dimly lit chandeliers, and comfy leather chairs at the tables. The Arno if all the delicious food smelt so good that I will definitely be going back soon for dinner!

The food was interesting, tasty but skimpy. Given the portion size it was pricey. One more cupful of everything would have made it worthwhile. While everything was OK I would not rush back.

Wow - the quality of the steak here was exceptional. We splurged a little on Brunello which was fantastic and I loved the Apricot Tart we shard for dessert. Great olives and bread to start with too. Service friendly and attentive - much better than many NY restaurants focussed on turning tables over. Noise levels great too - lovely escape where my husband and I could sit and talk over a great meal. Would definitely recommend and visit again

Excellent atmosphere and food. It is definitely not cheap, but pretty decent prices for New York standard. Salmon was particularly tasty.

This is a neighbourhood wine bar that attracts a very bustling crowd of all ages. Good wine list, largely Italian including some from their own vineyards, offering a reasonable variety at reasonable prices.Menu is not extensive but offers sufficient variety to satisfy most, and the quality is good.

Came here for a late-night drink and dessert. The staff was attentive without being overbearing and the selection was very good. The place has an interesting layout with one wall having wine bottles stocked. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced for the neighborhood. It is all very tastefully executed - a true neighborhood find

Felice is a good place to catch up with a friend who lives in that neighborhood if you have a few hours to spend in NYC. It's a good place to visit between lunch and dinner. We spent a couple of hours talking about lots of stuff and drinking more Prosecco than eating either cheese or cured meats. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The toilets are clean. Will I return? Yes. Will I recommend it? Yes.

Nice small restaurant with very friendly staff and good food, worth a visit... We felt very welcome and it felt like a family-driven place. For my taste the background-music was not a great match but it did not bother me too much. Maybe the cook should review his Tiramisu-recipe: it was not as italian as the rest ;)

Loved everything about this place! Food is great, excellent service, with a very interesting wine selection. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the right place to eat and drink...

Full bar, great food and service. On the corner with plenty of seating. Busy place. Clean and decorated tastefully .

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food, the service, and the wine were excellent! (Our daughter recommended to us after she had visited the Felice restaurant during hers and her husband's visit to Rome, Italy. She told us she had just learned Felice opened Felice 64 in NYC.). If you have opportunity, make time to eat here...in my opinion...you won't be disappointed.

a very nice lunch spot. Very good food. Excellent service. Trendy wine bar atmosphere. European flavor.

Would not take a reservation and then when we arrived said- Did you make a reservation? We wanted a nice table by the window and they said- Oh that is for a birthday. Way too crowded and way too noisy Food fair

What a nice find. Small but nice bar inside. We ate outside on hte 83rd St side. Very nice wiht no noise form the 1st Ave traffic. Nice wine list. Nice menu with reasonable prices. We got the large meat and chees platter which was large enough for at least 6 people. Fried calamari was excellent and lightly fried. I had the seafood pasta in a red sauce which was fabulous. The staff is very accommodating. In looking for the right wine the waiter gave us 3 samples to be sure we picked out a wine we would enjoy. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be going back.

We love this restaurant! Consistently beautiful food, terrific service, and a warm, inviting ambience! We were in NYC for 2 weeks for my husband's spine surgery, and we found this gem--no need to eat anywhere else. Thank you Felice!

I have been here for lunch and dinner. I would recommend lunch. Although this is an Italian restaurant, the pastas are the least interesting choices on the menu. Try the salmon burger for brunch or lunch. So tasty and satisfying! Delicious omelette offerings. The views and decor are quite cozy. For some reason, their bathrooms are poorly kept. One time I felt like if I closed my eyes I was in a dive beer...toooo dosturbingly fragrant...in a beer pong sort of way..for entrees over 30 a pop!

Had a lovely night here with family enjoying wine and bread with olive oil. Would love to come back to try the food. The wine was great and about 10$ for a glass. It was a nice treat.

I live overseas all the way in Singapore, and can only visit back home (NYC) once or at the most twice a year. Whenever I visit, I have a delicious meal here with my family and oh my...how it feels amazing to just savour in the delicious mozzarella & prosciutto appetizer and the spaghetti bolognese. Wine is superb as well, and the waitress definitely know what to recommend, and she gets it right. Very friendly as well. Lovely atmosphere to enjoy great conversations while having fantastic vino and Italian dishes. I am looking forward to my next visit back home and a delicious mouth watering Italian meal from Felice!

Amazing amazing amazing. Located right on the corner from where we stayed. Great wine, great service, great ambiance and the best egg plant parm I've ever had! Beautiful place

The food was phenomenal. So if you want quality food, it's a good spot. Not the most extensive selection of beer and unfortunately the service was pretty slow. I didn't like having to flag down the server more than once. However, I ordered the steak and it was cooked perfectly with excellent seasoning. I might try it again...

Had a great experience here. Met three friends for a quick lunch. Walking in to the place you immediately feel at ease. Very tastefully decorated with an Italian feel without going over the top. I especially liked the benches made of iron with these super comfy leather cushions. There is a quick lunch menu with great choices but the regular menu is still there too. I ordered the soup of the day. It was a Fagioli soup which was so tasty, not too many white beans, great seasoning and just the right amount for a starter. I then had a Pappardelle pasta with a sausage ragout finished with truffle oil. So freeking we’ll done that I am craving it now even as I write this. I will return for this again. Well priced, well presented and great value for quality.

I was walking by and by chance saw a friend eating at the table in the corner window. I stopped for a bowl of soup and we had a very pleasant impromptu meal together. Service was fast and friendly, a side order of bread was delicious, the mushroom soup was perfectly prepared, and cleanliness was very good.

My daughter and I eat here every time I visit. The pasta is superb! We had the pesto linguine and the ravioli dishes. They were wonderful. Service and price is great too.

If you are "waiting out" surgery @ Sloan Kettering, walk down 3 blocks from 67th and take a lunch break here. Located on the corner of 1st Ave and 64th, I stopped in twice for a great spinach salad with sliced pears. There were young women with small infants, locals, and people in for business lunches in this small tastefully appointed restaurant. You aren't rushed and the warm apple tart at the end was a comfort. While I hope not to need to be @ Sloan Kettering again I found a friendly place to chill out. Seasonal outdoor tables. Stop by, won't be disappointed.

When we walked past Felice we were taken in by the very cool and very interesting decor used throughout the restaurant. Lots of rustic wood features were mixed in with black steel, and the custom, pendant lights are a feature talking point in the space. We found the menu to have a fairly limited offering, and were a little put off by our particular waiter when we asked questions on a couple of the dishes were told "sauce is sauce, its all the same".... The food we received was just ok. The pasta dish was basic and the fish option was dry and overcooked. We would have loved to enjoyed this restaurant, as it looked as though it had everything going for it, but sadly we will not return. (BTW we told friends who live in the area too and their feedback was the same)

It is never good to arrive after a big table sits down. But getting in just before is perfect. My wife and I got a nice spot and enjoyed a simple yet excellent meal. I love combing the list for bargain wines and found a bottle Rosato "Il Mimo”, Cantalupo 2011 - Nebbiolo for the decent price of $38. It was nice and full bodied and perfect with the pastas and rich sauces they served. Service was excellent and the place was not too over the top.

On a recent Friday night my daughter and I went to Felice for dinner on the recommendation of a friend. We ordered a drink at the bar after being told our table would be a 20 minute wait. Before our drinks had been served our table was ready. I don't know if this is a ploy of restaurants to get people to order a cocktail but it does seem to happen quite often. Because we had just ordered a drink we were not ready to look at the menu let alone place our order. Our waitress was fine with that. She kept checking back with us without being pushy or snotty about us taking our time with our drinks. I ordered off the menu and my daughter ordered a special. We split a salad which was plenty for the two of us. Everything was delicious. Felice has an extensive Italian wine menu. I would recommend brushing up on your Italian wine knowledge as the menu does not offer descriptions of the wines. We did a quick search on our phones and ordered a delicious red. I look forward to a return visit to Felice.

A lovely experience - went on a Saturday night, it was really buzzing, but the service was outstanding. Good wine list, great menu choices. NB - no booking so get there early!

Although a little out of the way of the main attractions this little gem is well worth the visit. The seating is cosy and the ambience is fantastic. We visited several times during our stay in New York and tried a lot of the menu. All of the dishes were superb. The pappardelle with sweet sausage and the bruschetta with ham were amongst our favorites. The food was really fresh and everything was tasty and truly italian (my girlfriend is a very fussy Italian and even she was more than happy!). The staff are super friendly and helpful and the music added to the atmosphere. Overall, can't wait to go back. Take a cab and enjoy the evening at Felice!

This is a very pleasant neighborhood wine bar with very good finger foods and a rather joyous feeling. The furnishings and decor are very elegant, and cleanliness is very good. Welcoming and very friendly staff.

I am Italian and I go to NY quite often. This is truly a nice place to have a great lunch or dinner. Quality of food is very nice with true Italian products. You can try a nice minestrone, pasta or even n a simple salad and you will still appreciate a true Italian. Meal. I will be back.

They have a good selection of wines, the decor is intimate and original, the food is good, at times the portions are a bit small for the price, but it is always a great place to go with friends or a partner.

We love this restaurant. Great sauce, perfectly prepared pasta and a great neighborhood place on the east side to meet friends and family. Everything is meticulously prepared and the friendly Italian staff make you feel like you are in their home for a meal.

Extensive wine list, great food and beautiful decor. you have to go on a thursday or friday night to enjoy the space at it's most. Great corner place with a good atmsphere!!

Had a dinner with family there recently. Amazing food and amazing wine. I had the spinach ravioli and the ricotta crostone. Oh my god. Amazing. It's not a cheap restaurante but the food is super worth it.

Was recommended by a friend who lives nearby. Went with 3 generations of my family so ages ranging from 10-80 years old. And everyone enjoyed. Small and buzzy - could be a little noisy if hard of hearing, but good atmosphere. Was impressed by how good the food was - measured up to any food I've had in Italy. And v good choice of Italian wines, at all price levels. Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner - or just for a drink at the small, informal bar area.

Loved the avocado and poached egg bread, nice combination and perfectly executed. Not the cheapest place, but good quality and service is worth paying extra for.

great location and great place for business dinner! try the fresh meatballs or bruschetta with mushrooms. Restaurant is very convenient for east side area and even tough is not very big you can easily have a quick bite at the bar. Overall great sense of well done, from the quality of food to the service!Highly recommended as it is a real italian newyork restaurant.

We ate "al fresco" on a beautiful sunny day, the weather was perfect, sitting outside, having a wonderful lunch and people watching: never rushed. The pasta lunch was superb served with fresh lite tomato sauce, perfect. The price is moderate for very good food. The location for us was perfect, being near the hospital and hotel. The quality is outstanding. Definitely will return for lunch or dinner.

This restaurant is near our apartment and we happen to go rather often. It is a nice place with fairly authentic Italian food, cocktails are nice and there is a good choice of dishes to choose from as well as a fine enough wine list. We particularly love their cacio&pepe pasta. Staff are super nice.

My friend and I were looking to get a quick bite for lunch. We passed Felice and said "why not" Well it was the best decision as the food was AMAZING!! I knew it was going to be really authentic as the entire staff is Italian. The pasta I had was spot on!! It was cooked perfectly and delicious. My friend asked for cheese and suprisingly she didn't need it! I cannot wait to go back!!

We happened upon Felice 64 while wandering in the neighborhood of our hotel, and loved it! BUT, it is both extremely popular and extremely noisy. Our solution (we are somewhat noise averse) was to sit at the bar where for some reason the noise level and crowding seem less oppressive. That’s all of the negative. Super positive: lovely wine (we had the Sebastiano super Tuscan); lovely Misticanza salad; lovely bruschetta; outstanding veal meatballs (Polpettine di Vitelli); excellent recommendations and service from the bartender. Just the light meal we needed. We will return.

Visited Felice for an informal casual family dinner after a long day of travel. It was packed even for a Tuesday night which certainly speaks to its popularity. We ordered a bottle of the Felice house white wine which was quite satisfactory then ordered appetizers which we split and pasta for our entrée. With a pear sorbet for dessert, our bill totaled $250 for three people which I think is high for a neighborhood hangout even in New York. Very attentive servers proud of their work. Don't know if I'd return based on value for money paid.

When you are Italian you tend to try different cuisines, however when you need a good and solid experience you pick the best. The restaurant that will not disappoint you. This is what I think about Felice, a solid rock in Italian cooking. As real as it can be remembering the "piatti" I grew up with, at home or some iconic restaurant.

We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. This is a very small space with lots of people. Baby strollers must be parked outside on the sidewalk because there is no room inside. Service was friendly and professional, not too fast, not too slow. The crostini were delicious. My spiretti with marinara and buratta was cooked properly and the sauce was tangy. Definitely on my go-to list.

Very nice place, in the heart of Manatthan's Midtown !!! Tasty food (truly italian, well prepared, cooked and presented)... We didn't try them but they have a lot of typical italian wines !!! Suggested for any kind of meal !!!

Nice atmosphere, friendly and quick service. The choice could be wider, but there is something for every taste. Fabulous bread! I liked the meatballs and the fried tomatoes. The air conditioning is too cold for European creatures.

Visiting family, we went here several times and enjoyed the warm ambiance and fine food. Service is attentive and friendly. The salads and entrees seem to be the strengths; the soup and appetizers disappointed a bit. The wine list is good.

My wife and I have visited Manhattan six times this past year and, when there, have explored the East Side restaurant scene. We particularly enjoy a dining at a good restaurant, since we live in a Midwestern university town where there are dozens of pizza joints but few worthwhile restaurants. Felice 64 was one of our top choices among the eight or ten we sampled and we have eaten there three times. Last week we had the salmon and the chicken Milanese, plus a glass each of Montepulciano Caroso. Each dish was imaginatively prepared and delicious, and the wine was very good. Unfortunately, we had no space left for desert, as the chicken portion was large enough to overflow the plate. Since Felice 64 combined excellent food and prompt, friendly service, we found it a real winner. Readers should note two things. One is that this is a neighborhood restaurant and not a tourist magnet (we saw many of the same patrons on our different visits). The other is that the place is very popular and becomes crowded by 7:00 p.m., which is why we tried to arrive by 5:30 p.m. so that we were ready to leave when the crowds descended.

This was very disappointing, even though the charge was minimal. And the pasta was terribly salty (which we did not complain about, so they were under no obligaton to replace it). The manager was nice when we mentioned the split charge, but he didn't do anything to rectify it.

Very good. Great service. Excellent chicken dishes. Salad good. I recommend this - excellent outdoor seating.

Stopped in for brunch one Sunday and were seated outside with no wait time. Since we had a baby with us, this was a good seating choice! We both started off with a Bellini, which was probably the best one I have had! Available by the carafe as well for a reasonable price. Both of us had the french toast, which was excellent. All in all, a nice brunch experience on the upper East side.

Excellent food, excellent service, and superb Covid protocols! We've been here a few times since dining re-opened in NYC and I have to say I use them as the standard when I'm anywhere else. The servers, managers, hosts, all wear gloves and masks, and change the gloves often. Tables are separated and have a barrier between you and other diners. They don't give you menus to hold! You scan the code on your own phone and use your own device to browse! That is my favorite part! I feel safe and secure when eating here. And the food... oh the food! It's sooo yummy. I have to be careful not to fill up on the apps, because everything we've ordered is so delicious. My favorite entrée is the pesto Gnocchi. I keep saying I'll branch out but I keep ordering it. It's got the right combo of creamy pesto and fresh veggies to counter the heaviness of the Gnocchi itself. I'm so grateful this lovely restaurant is open and serving such great food!

We didn’t have a reservation but were lucky to get seats at the bar. Place is small and was packed- make a reservation. Food and service were good. Loved the lighting.

Felice can not be called a "destination", but it's nice to go to dinner after the evening kionessa in Clearview Cinema, which is just around the corner. The interior is laconic and unpretentious with a twist in the form of an unusual decoration of the ceiling space, where chandeliers replaced wine jugs with built-in lamps. In the afternoon, in Felice family is peaceful, in the evening, on the contrary, it becomes intimate and romantic, and on Friday and Saturday nights there is often a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere.

Came here with a group of 12. They gave a spacious kings table in the center of the restaurant. The waiters all spoke Italian and made perfect wine suggestions. Everyone was drooling over the abundance of appetizers and main courses. I've never seen people share their main courses as much as we did this night because we all wanted to try everything. Would definitely go back again!

We were nearby and walked into Felice Wine Bar for lunch. What a nice surprise. They had a lunch prefix which at 26$ was excellent and my wife ordered a spaghetti carbonara. The restaurant is very nicely done, good comfortable seating arrangements. The food was very good with reasonable prices and the service very efficient. Will go back to any of its several restaurants to try other dishes on the menu.

I was really looking forward to an great Italian meal but I was not inspired by Felice. Portions were pretty small, bread was only offered once prior to the meal, I tasted three other peoples' entrees and none excited me in the least. This is perhaps more wine bar than restaurant and since I don't drink, this might be the problem. For the money they charged, the meal was lack luster.

We have visited this restaurant several times in the past two months. Food is excellent, but portions a little small for the price paid. Same with wine by the glass. Small portion. Good service, friendly staff.

It was very good food and a beautiful setting for a special dinner out with friends. Bread service was good and food came out fast.

My wife and I were visiting NY and staying in this neighborhood. We were meeting 2 friends and none of us had been to Felice before; it just looked great from the sidewalk so we scheduled to meet up at 7:00. We walked in without a reservation and were promptly seated at a nice sized round table in the window. The server picked a wonderful wine to accompany our antipasto and again for dinner. Meanwhile the place filled up and by 7:30 there were people waiting outside. Each of us ordered a traditional Italian meal and each of us were very satisfied. Just as we finished dinner a 5th friend joined and the server was wonderfully accommodating in getting another chair carried over the heads of the crowed dining room. We lounged over dessert and coffee, were not rushed and were completely satisfied. I wish I still lived in the neighborhood. Most of the tables were set in a long row down the length of the room. This is great if you're facing into the room where the action is but not so great if you have to face the brick wall. I think the best table is the one in the window.

My wife and I love this place. Great ambiance, not too busy and good outdoor seating. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Would give it 5 stars but they stopped making their Brussels sprout salad (barbiotele salad) which was to die for!

Excellent. Great food. Wonderful wait staff and superb manager. This upper east side restaurant was a perfect place for an outside couples dinner. Chicken Milano perfect. Salads huge. Wine extensive list and fairly priced. Go here.

Love the interior, the food and the Aperol Spritz! My boyfriend and I had a very romantic night. Oh, the waiters are very kind too. We'll definitely go back!

Stopped in for a quick drink of wine and a small app during lunch time. The environment is small and very professional. The food was good. Great choices. Plenty to choose from for a vegetarian. Pricey, but it is that side of town.

My mom is from Tuscany so I was excited to try this place out when a friend suggested for her bday. Food was authentic and staff very friendly. I will definitly be returning again.

In August 2015, my friend & I had brunch at Felice 64. We each enjoyed our selections very much. I LOVED the generous portion of lox on my lox plate from the Sunday brunch menu. I know I'll be back for that! It was $14, I was not wild about the frisée on the plate; I would have enjoyed any other greens instead since I simply don't care for frisée. The pretzel croissant was yummy. And my friend enjoyed her salad with chicken. I'll post photos of each dish. The only negative was that my friend asked the server to please omit the cheese from her salad, and the salad arrived with cheese. When my friend mentioned it to the very nice server, she offered a new salad, but my friend opted to remove all the Parmesan cheese shavings herself. There were a lot. It was Sunday, so perhaps the server was tired from her week, however, note--we were the only people in the restaurant when we ordered. I am mentioning this because if you have a food allergy, you better make that very clear to the server. The food & atmosphere we're inviting. I look forward to trying many items from the menu in the future since the FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. I would recommend Felice 64. My TIP: Any food allergies, make that very, very clear to your server when ordering AND confirm again when your food arrives at the table! Overall: Delicious Food! Enjoy!

have eaten here every time in NYC and it is top notch. The food is fresh prepared beautifully and everyone in the place is very friendly, great local spot but you are never a stranger there. If you sit at the bar and bartender Lucia is working you are in for a real treat, she remembered me from 6 months earlier and even rem ember what I ate. Aside from being a really good bartender in all aspects, she is fun, talkative, and drop dead gorgeous. Good for the food stay for the Lucia. the place is small but that is in large part its charm, and you never feel cramped. Try the Polpettine, a meatball ap.

To be clear, we did not eat at Felice. We stopped in for some wine after an event in the neighborhood at the recommendation of the staff at our hotel (Affinia Gardens). We sat at the bar and had the best bartender. His knowledge of the wine was outstanding and he was really friendly. It was not busy when we visited and we just had the best conversation with him. Truly a great experience!

Saw this on our hotel website and it was just a block away so we booked it for an easy first night meal. Small place on the corner but very hip/cool interior. Bar and maybe12-15 tables. Skip the appetizer veal meatballs. Tasted pre-packaged. And did not care at all for the crostone (crostini). Cold and hard bread and the topping was supposed to be pear and gorgonzola. I was tasting something else...odd and not great. BUT the entrees were great. Teen daughters loved the house ravioli and my wife and I both had pasta dishes. My wife had the housemade cavateli w lamb ragu which she loved and I finished. Excellent! Best pasta sauce I have had. I had pasta w the bolognese. Also very good. Prices were very reasonable on entrees also. Only knock besides the apps was the server. We are used to the disdain families get at restaurants. Servers think kids meals and no bar tab. My 12 and 14 order apps and dine off the adult menu. My wife and I had a bottle of wine. And kids menus in NYC don't exist at nicer places so our less adventurous child ate an adult priced plain pasta. $200 easy and we were in early and gone before they got busy and kept the table from turning. The gal obviously never ate there bc her recommendations and answers to questions were off. Just picked the two most expensive dishes and wasn't sure what some other things were. She hung at the bar (6' away) and never really came back by. We eat well and we tip. Better service and this place is excellent.

Nice ambiance and friendly staff, but this place is way over rated. Food is mediocre, portions are small (borderline ridiculous) tables are not comfortable and too close to each other. Price is not worth the value.

We booked a reservation for our first night in NYC as it was close to the hotel and highly recommended. We were so glad our trip started off with such a great dinner at Felice 64. Small and intimate, cool décor, service was very personable but fun AND best part was the interesting menu to choose from - the food was exquisite. I wanted to eat there a second night but time did not permit!!! Hope to be back again. Great Upper East Side restaurant.

This could be a really nice neighborhood restaurant if they turned the lights on. It was quiet on Christmas eve dinner and the pleasant young staff clearly knew many of the regular customers. Food was provincial Italian and may well have been very nice but I couldn't tell because in order to savour anything you have to be able to use all your senses. On this occasion (and I understand from the local we were visiting with it's always the same) the place was almost in darkness, lit only by a few candles. Struggled to read the menu and no idea what colour the food was.

Popped in for a glassof wine and ended up staying for a few! They have their own wines and they were great. I didn't eat but will next visit. If you go on the weekend, make sure and say hello to Lauren the bartender. She and the staff are awesome and I will be back!

Ditto on this being close to Sloane and a good place to chill out. Small, intimate place on the corner of 64th. Had lunch and an Italian Sauvignon Blanc was great. Had the cheese plate - very enjoyable. My GF daughter loved the pasta with the melted mozzarella cheese was great. Very conscientious about the service. Nice place to relax and not that expensive for lunch.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in New York. Many Italian restaurants in New York have very little to do with italian food: everything seems to drown in cream sauce, or to be buried under layers of Parmesan cheese and the inevitable spray of pepper offered by a Mexican waiter who does not speak more than two words of bad Italian. At Felice 64, the boss is Italian, most waiters and waitresses are Italian and, even more importantly, the food is Italian. Try the pappardelle con salsiccia and you will get what I mean. Same with the white wine della casa. My recommendation is to go either for lunch or on Sunday nights. It is usually much quieter. Avoid Saturday night: it is extremely crowdy and almost impossible to get a table - and it is not possible to book for a party of less than six. Definitely a place I highly recommend if you live in the upper east side, but also if you are a visitor and want to eat good food in a place away from the crowd of tourists in Mid Town or meat packing.

We found prompt and friendly service last night and very good cleanliness. A shared eggplant starter was delicious with a very fresh tomato sauce and aged park greatly enhancing the dish. Veal Ragu was superb with several layers of flavor. Sadly a pasta and porcini mushroom dish had almost no flavor. The barbera by the glass was excellent; The Italian wine list is outstanding for such a small restaurant.

Even with a reservation, we had to wait some time for our table...but that is a good sign. Service was professional and prompt. That night, they had a red snapper special...and it was rich with flavors and prepared perfectly. We had a group of ten people, everyone left happy. We'll be back.

Everything was delicious and all the staff were very attentive. Two thumbs up!! Nice wine selection & good menu. Waiters & hostess very knowledgeable about all on the menu.

We go often as we like their simple (original) Italian cuisine with high quality ingredients. It is a very pleasant place to have lunch or dinner with friends and family.

Was visiting family that just moved to the UES and was looking for a good place to eat with my wife and daughter. My daughter can’t eat gluten but loves pasta. I found Felice on a search and am very happy I did. My daughter enjoyed her gluten free pasta with burrata. They accommodated my wife who prefers grilled chicken instead of fried. I had bolognese which was excellent. The house Felice Sangiovese was enjoyable and matched the food well. We share an eggplant parm to start. Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was busy but nice. Food was well prepared and all were happy. Would return. Very good meal and experience.

First of all I want to specify that I am Italian, a business man and I travel a lot. If I say that this place is the best Italian restaurant, it is. That's it! The variety of food is very nice and it's the real Italian cuisine. Not fancy creams or junky dishes. I love the Prosecco e the one they have there is very nice. Also the Prosciutto of Parma was very fresh and sweet, like it should be, and not salted. Remember that if the prosciutto is salted, means that its quality is very poor. The management is Italian but very nice and stylish. I am 100% this will be my future restaurant for my business trips in New York.

We loved it! A little unsure when we walked in and saw the tables so close together, but once you are in there, just adds to the ambience. We ended up in a nice conversation with our very close table neighbors, who actually are regular at the Felice. Our waiter (straight from Italy just recently) was excellent and very knowledgeable and made you feel like you were his only table. Food was excellent and well priced. Wine was superb, however a little pricey. I definitely will eat here again.

Yes, you read right... burgers. I was surprised myself, but my friend ordered a burger and he said it was the best frigging burger he's had! I ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese, initially it did not seem like it would fill me up, but it did. It was actually just enough and it was filling, super delicious and a great dish! We had bruschetta for the appetizer and I have never had such a tasty bruschetta or bread it was mouth watering. I would have eaten two or three of those alone. If you are not very hungry and having wine, this would be an excellent dish and would fill you up, however they only give three pieces of bread with bruschetta, but it is sooo good! The atmosphere is quaint, I do not care for the steel tubing bench and individual seating pads they installed, it is unique and cool but I do not like the close quarters seating style, that would be my only criticism. The food and wine list was moderately priced, and not outrageous as most restaurants go, but it was delicious and well worth the price. Make reservations just in case, because they do get quite busy and filled and it is a popular UES eatery. Bon appetite!

This restaurant is a small place uptown NY, the food is good and the place is well decorated. The selection of wines is pretty wide so you can have many italian options. The pasta with salciccia was the best plate we had.

A very demanding Italian from Florence chose this great unpretentious spot for its authentic country home cooking. No white table cloths or piles of truffles. Attentive service. It gets a little loud but if you are feeling like a satisfying low key meal this is the place.

Cozy neighborhood place. Ambiance is great. In nice weather there is seating outside. Great place to meet a friend for a drink and a bit to eat.

A truly great Italian have really good and balanced flavors and therefore most of their wines are more subtle that powerful. Here this is not the case. The Formaggi e Salumi as starter is ok but the meat is a bit dry and not at all the smooth and tender you expect. The Carbonara is to powerful and the bacon is almost non existent but the pasta is al dente and good. The gnocchi is lite to perfect to be handmade but is good but the flavors of Basilica is taking over way to much, Wines are good and great with many options at the glass. Tiramisu is 3+ and is homemade and could have more Amaretto to be perfect. Add to that disco music in the background the cozy factor leaves the room . If you look for a genuine Italian look somewhere else

Finding a nice outdoor spot on a warm summer evening is worth mentioning. Lucky enough to find a table on the sidewalk, we dined as the sun set and the lights came on in the city. Each of us chose a light meal of a salad, a good drink, the bread provided at table service, and no one was disappointed. Had we not eaten something two hours before, we would have been hungry though. In truth, we ate here for the experience first and food second. Nonetheless, the food we did have did not disappoint. The Insalata Di Carciofi E Grana was very nice. At $15 for a salad, I imagine a full dinner here would be quite expensive. I would stick with a drink and nosh and the fun of seeing the bustle of First avenue as you sip a glass of wine. The hostess was not friendly. We chose to ignore this as the waiter was quiet but efficient.

My wife and I arrived for 10pm dinner and were seated outside. The place was nearly full and we had an excellent dinner chatting with the table beside us. The pasta and wine was excellent and you feel as if you are outside the US sitting at the relaxed sidewalk tables. Excellent spot for a late dinner for sure!

Nice, cosy place; good menue but expensive. Unfortunately the service was very inattentive. The service came with the check before we asked for it. We were neither asked if we would like dessert nor were drinks offered when glasses were empty. All in all we felt rushed and could not enjoy the time. Not recommendable.

This Italian Upper East Side serves very good food and compliments it with a large and well comprised list of Italian Wines. Try their Lagrein wine, crisp and beautiful. Decor is simple yet nice and service is great with friendly staff. We'll be back many times.

My gf left with a headache—her dish was too salty. Ive had better burger at McDonalds-dry and bland

Came here for lunch with some friends. The food was tasty, lovely atmosphere and gracious service! we had the aracini, cheese plate, porchetta paninni and an excellent fusilli. The bread was tasty and they were generous with the refills. A special treat was a bottle of Italian cabernet franc which was very enjoyable

Do not eat here. We ordered food for the family and they sent the wrong food and refused to fix the situation and send the correct food. Complete waste of time. They were rude on the phone and wouldn’t admit their mistake.

We went here to watch the Super Bowl. Swanky environment great service, the manager Luigi was very accommodating of our seating needs. We had cocktails, chicken liver mousse and prosciutto bruschetta. I would like to have a full dinner here...I will next time I am in town.

This place is very close to a a zillion hospitals in NY - handy to know about. Good salads that won't break the bank. My artichoke and parmesan was tasty.

I have experience with other Felice locations in NYC and generally like it. So, we gave Felice 64 a shot, but shouldn't have. Food was very mediocre. Crostone Riccotta dish was outright pathetic - bland ricotta on thick pieces of hard bread that were difficult to bite off. Arancini was the only dish that was good, on par with other Felice places, the rest was not worth the calories. The place also feels very crammed with tiny tables separated by literally five inches of space. And it is very noisy. Staff was friendly though, can't blame them for anything.

My husband and I first had dinner at Felice 64 in the spring of 2018 and we thought it was marvelous. My salmon entrée was perfectly prepared and served with a side of flavorful Israeli couscous and a vegetable. There was a wonderful chardonnay by the glass and a delicious parfait that we shared for dessert. This year, most recently this month, we went a couple of times and had a different experience. The chicken dishes we tried had meat that was pounded very thin, then overcooked - dry and not flavorful. When I ordered the salmon, the fish was still well prepared but was topped by a puree of broccoli that did nothing to complement its flavor. The salmon was presented on a bed of smashed potato of no particular interest. Both my pollo Milanese and the salmon were topped by greens, a giant pile of Romaine in the case of the chicken !?! I sampled the chardonnay and found it watery so I got the vermentino instead, which was good. The parfait was still pretty good but not up to the previous standard. The service is still excellent but I wonder if there is a new chef since the spring of 2018. Not sure we will go back again.

although the wait was a bit long, this cozy restaurant with adorable rustic decor and chandeliers was such a great place to catch up with a group of friends. everyones meal was delicious, the waiters and bartenders were very accomodating with selecting wines based on taste preference and budget. once seated we didnt feel rushed and were the last ones in the restaurnat. i will definitley be back!

What a fun place... The barkeeper Erin was a "10" in looks, style and mixology. Buy far the best Makers Mark Manhattan ever !! The food was hot and tasty. "Kinda " noisy place but you over come that by just ordering more wine ! They have it together in this place. Give it a shot.

A small intimate place and a lovely change from hamburgers, pizza and other typically American food. Worth the taxi ride.

Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant during a girls' trip to NYC, last year. Atmosphere is inviting, service (both bar and table) were excellent, and the food is outstanding. Will definitely re-visit next time I'm in town.

Small and popular with adults and families, this Upper East Side wine bar delivers great food too! We loved both the roasted tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and basil and the pasta entrees we ordered. The gnocchi with gorgonzola and walnuts (a classic) and the pappardelle with a beef ragu were delicious. Lots of wines by the glass including some very fine ones as well as several daily specials! We’ll go back soon.

Food was faboulous, service was fantastic. Just two small complaints.....loud inside and very dimly lit.

We actually came across this little restaurant and wine bar by accident as we were walking to another restaurant at 1st and 61st street. We were drawn by the people who were sitting at the outside tables and seemed to be enjoying themselves. After looking at the menu posted in the window, we went inside and were greeted in a quick and friendly manner. The inside of this location (I think there are 4 in total), was nicely decorated in dark woods and a solid wall of wines on one side. We selected a sauvignon blanc to start and ordered salads. An assortment of breads and olive oil arrived very quickly after the food order was placed and water poured immediately. I ordered the Pear and Spinach salad and my wife ordered the Contadina salad. Both salads were terrific and the multi grain bread is excellent (I ordered seconds on the bread). Salad prices run $14-$16 which is in keeping with NYC prices and quality of food. I only gave 4 stars to the restaurant because I thought the price of the wine ($14/glass for 3-4 oz.) was high even for city prices. This Felice location is at the corner of 1st and 64th street. We will return to this restaurant again on our next trip into NYC.

We enjoy dinner with a close friend tonight with takeout from this restaurant. It was a very good broad noodle dish with mushrooms and a very complex and earthy flavor. The bread was particularly good, very crusty and yeasty and absolutely delicious. The salad was fresh but tremendously over drenched with dressing. No to restaurants: salads dressing should come on the side.

We came here during Restaurant Week when local establishments put on their best face. Here Restaurant Week lasts from July 24th to August 18th? Four people for dinner all enjoyed every course. Service was helpful and attentive. The venue by it's nature being the street level floor of a walk-up building has high ceilings with loud reverberations. Add the occasional loud small child and hearing your dining companions can be a challenge. The manager likes to turn down the LED lighting to emphasise the candle light on the table. Romantic it may be, but seeing the bill could be challenging. Weather permitting there is outside dining though why anyone would choose to smell First Avenue traffic elludes me.

My first time for brunch! the french toast the best! Eggs benedict: amazing! The vibe was so fresh, Luisa the waitress very knowledgeable and so sweet. The music , lighting and everything was just right! Bravi!

Walking the neighborhood- we found this spot. What a find. Friendly & good small plates to share. This was our go to after walking all day!

I loved this restaurant. Visited my family in Tuscany the month after and was unable to attend the wine tasting tours the owner has vineyards in Italy Hope to return soon. You won't be disappointed.

Went here twice in a week , gave them a second chance ,not. Past sundown it is way too dark inside. If you are trying to hide who you are with , this place is it.Outside is right on the sidewalk and the smell of city. Get past these few things and the menu is very limited and over priced for the area. Within 2 blocks of this are 2 additional Italian eatery's that will put Felice 64 to shame. I would not say this is a bad place, more it is made out to be better than it is. Food good, service ok, ambiance to be desired. Left with a take it or leave it attitude, both buy me and the staff seemed not to care, going thru the motions,

This small restaurant is jampacked at night and so loud that it is impossible to carry on a conversation. However, yesterday at lunch, although there were 12 tables filled with happy diners, the noise level was very manageable and my friend and I were able to share notes very easily. His squash soup was, he said, delicious and I liked my toast with tomatoes. We both were delighted with mussels from Prince Edward Island served in a light wine sauce. Restrooms are very clean; the decor is interesting; service was fast and very professional, and the wine list is adequate.

We went with my sisters and significant others and were concerned at first, as service was slow. No one took drink orders for a long time and then drinks were very slow to arrive. Felt all the staff was pretty unenthusiastic about their jobs. But the cocktails were divine and so was everyone's food, from trout to ravioli to penne pasta. All nicely prepared with reasonable portions.

My wife and I visited Felice for an early lunch. First walking in, it had a rustic, warm and welcoming feeling. The menu ranged from cheese and cured meat plates to full entrees. The beef carpaccio was wonderfully prepared and seasoned perfectly. The gnocchi was very rich and tender. It blended the textures well with the soft gnocchi and the crunchiness of the speck. The butternut squash risotto topped with a lamb chop was delicious and perfect for the fall season. The wine list was large, but not over bearing. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. I recommend Felice to anyone who enjoys good wine, good food and good people watching.

Beautiful food, warm ambience, outstanding service!! Ate here many times over two weeks, and we enjoyed it every time. Thank you Felice 64!

Seated quickly despite no reservation at a prime window table. Food was good although expensive. $200/ three people for light dinner. Problem was lighting---non-existent. Small candles but couldn't see what I was eating.

I have never eaten out much on the east side because I went to school (Juilliard) on the west side and lived in the west village. Later in my life, I became aquatinted with east side when having treatments at Sloan Kettering. I found wonderful restaurants and cheese shops. Even though we typically stay in Lincoln Center when we go to the Met Opera when visiting from CT, we try to always get over to the east side. Yesterday was one of those memorable events that stay with you: one for extraordinary meal, and the other for humanitarian reasons. Our friends lives around the corner from Felice 64 @ 1166 1st Ave. So, here are the two points that scored off the charts! 1) The meal - tuna tartare and liver pâté. Fabulous, and generous portions. 2) Tom, my husband, was seated near the window, and saw a homeless man (or someone with very little money and perhaps had a bit too much of alcohol, but could be a some disability) ask for food - NOT MONEY. The Maître d (perhaps the owner) asked if he would like some soup, and the man said yes. The Maître d not only brought him soup in a cup, but helped the man steady himself so he could hold the soup without spilling it and didn’t leave his side until he was sure the man could continue eating safely. Living in a world that seems to have have started circling the drain politically and losing its day to day humanitarianism, I was reminded that I need not be totally cynical anymore. The Maître d showed great care, genuine concern and something I don’t see very often. We will now always have a meal at Felice when ever we are visiting NYC - no matter which neighborhood we are staying in. BTW, the ambience is wonderful - cozy, not too crowded and a wonderful bar. Please make a reservation (lunch was not busy on a Monday, so drop in) and enjoy their wonderful cuisine and warm hospitality. Tom and I will be back! Best, David

We recently took a friend to Felice for her birthday, and had a wonderful time. We shared a bottle of Prosecco, my wife and our friend both ordered a special entree which they loved, and I had pasta with a ragu that was very nice. We loved it so much we even ordered dessert. Our server was very friendly - by the end of the night he was treating us like old friends. The price makes it an occasional visit for us, but otherwise, we loved it!

Probably the best Spaghetti Alla Carbonara I have ever had, to include eating in Italy. Torta Al Cioccolato for dessert was perfect.

Decor wonderful, service polite and prompt, pasta cold and not very tasty and selection to small and pricey--- would not recommend !

Went for dinner on Saturday and sat outside, it was a really nice day. The food was average and the service was too. Not saying that I dont recommend it. I think I will give it another try, since it is just around the corner.

...the competition is tough but this one did not stand out to us. We ordered a half-bottle of wine from the menu, only to be told - rather brusquely - that it wasn't available. Pasta was very good. Bread was great. As other reviewers have said, it was dark inside and loud as more people arrived - but that's just NYC.

Love the ambiance of this little Italian spot on the corner of 64th street. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Food was just OK--but it was lunch and maybe I didn't order well. I'd definitely give it another try for dinner. Great people watching from the large windows. Very nice staff.

The food and service were wonderful. But the noise level was physically painful. So disappointing. We were trying to catch up with friends but couldn’t talk. The people around us were shouting and then the restaurant turned on music. Would go back only if it were quieter. There needs to some way for restaurants to manage the noise levels

Cozy little space with low lights, candles and an upscale feel. Wine list is extensive and interesting. Just a perfect place to have a glass of wine before starting a romantic evening.
Nice neighborhood spot
Good neighborhood new Italian spot with nice bar scene although it seats about 10-12 people at the bar. Food was good, but pricey for what you get. Restaurant nicely crowded and a bit noisy, but that adds to the warmth. Some of the patrons at the bar were unnecessarily rude to my wife and me, so our experience suffered. Having said that, it would t be fair to ding the restaurant for our experience. We'd like to return for another try. The seating outside seemed very nice.
