I’ve been to the restaurant before & always enjoyed my experience. However my recent attendance on 12/10/2024 was a nightmare. I had a 6p reservation for a party of 4, but, due to gridlock-alert traffic, arrived at 6:35p. Upon entering the restaurant we were faced with a scene of utter chaos. The restaurant was packed, with about a dozen guest crowded around the reception desk desperately trying to find out when they would be seated for their reservation. And for about 10 mins there was no restaurant staff available at the desk to provide the info. When a staff member finally showed, & we were able to ask, we were told the restaurant is very busy, but they think they should be able seat us in a few minutes. That few minutes turned into one & one-half hours. I commend the restaurant for honoring our reservation, even after we arrived late, but that reception experience was very disappointing. To add to the nightmare the restaurant sold the bar area, which is usually a comfortable waiting area where you can even get light meals, to a private party, which was also packed. Chaos. Another strange thing I notice about the restaurant is there policy surrounding the Costelas (beef ribs). A delicious treat. This is the cut that made us dedicated Fogo patrons. We got it off the bar menu on our first visit. On a second visit we got seats in the downstairs dining area. But when we ordered the rib we were told you can only get it off the bar menu. What? We asked if we could use the bar menu & we were told no. What? We expressed our disappointment, & when Fogo sensed we might be leaving, they relented & allowed us to order the rib. At the Bridgewater NJ Fogo we had the rib at the bar & before leaving we ordered 2 ribs to takeout. Fogo told us you cannot order the rib for takeout. What? Madness. Fast-forward to our 12/10 visit. On the Fogo website they advertise the rib as a cut that you get as part of the full Churrasco experience. They also advertise a single churrasco where you get just a single cut of meat instead of the multiple cuts you get in the full Churrasco. We ordered the single Churrasco with the rib & we were told you can’t get the rib with the single Churrasco. What? But this time I relented & ordered the full Churrasco, just to get the rib. We dined for 2 hours & the rib was never presented. I could have complained about the disappearance of the rib, but at that point it was clear to me that Fogo has very little regard for the proper treatment of its guest. Fogo always pushes the full Churrasco, & that’s understandable since they make good money on its price, but I think it deplorable to deny a paying guest the product they really desire. I think the money is the most important thing to Fogo, not giving their guest a good experience. The food is good, but I will never visit another Fogo. I’d rather patronize other establishments that treat their guests better.

The spot is good for family, friends or just a bite. Good food and wines. For meat lovers. Also the buffet is pretty rich having different choices for sides. Recommended.

One of the best Happy Hours in the midtown area. Also good value for a sit down dinner. Friendly and helpful staff. If you are lucky enough to have Anna presiding on the floor during your visit, you can count on excellent service and charming company. She makes this place work!

Our experience was fantastic. We had a great time, and the staff was personal, generous and charming. We went for lunch, and got a great deal. The «market table» was fantastic, with a big variety of food. We would like to give a shoutout to our waiters and customer service, Jenny, Keyla and Daniel. Thank you for the good time! Will definetly come back!

My first time here they service was out of this world everyone was very welcoming. Especially our server Marina. She was very helpful to me and my family on our first visit here and making grandmother birthday dinner a very special one. Thank to Marina you rock 1👍🤗

Great food and service. Appreciate the hospitality from Andrea, gaby and Marley. Celebrating a meal for Veterans Day and staff made experience memorable.

Great food and buffet. We went for the menu with j limited meat and salads. Very busy and, due to the design very noisy. Also we were all freezing due to the air-con and had to sit in our coats towards the end of the evening. It’s on the pricey side.

Beautiful restaurant , welcome and extremely professional service, a waiter who spoke French to orient us ... The show starts with the beauty of the place , continues by the buffet and is extended by back and forth from more succulent brooches than each other ...

Excellent service! Our server Diego Lockhart was super friendly! Thank you! Would definitely come here again. This is our first time coming here

All very good, nice and pleasant. Fabulous setting, festive and cheerful. Good meat, excellent buffet. Expensive bill, but all of New York is expensive...

We had the buffet. There are choices of soups and lots of vegetable, salad and fruit dishes, with smatterings of meat and smoked fish. The food was fresh and good and the atmosphere was good. Not noisy.

Whenever we want to eat something fresh and tasty in a clean and warm place, FOGO DE CHÃO will always be the best option, and our waiter DIEGO LOCKHART is the best, he was very attentive to what we might need, very charismatic and helpful 🫶. 10/10.

EXTREMELY disappointed in our experience at the Fogo de Chao in Garden City as the birthday party we had in Queens last year was absolutely fabulous! Decided to have a birthday dinner this year at the Garden City location as mom, a native Brazilian, really liked this place. Instead of opting for the CHURRASCO EXPERIENCE, we chose the entree. My husband went for the Churrasco as he loves this. Needless to say, while I saw special attention being brought to particular tables, the waiters barely came by our table for the meats. My husband probably got about 4-5 servings of meat. Me & my mom sat waiting for our entrees to arrive. We had to ask after a long period of time. Finally, my mom received her entree, but for the price, she received 2 small pieces of meat. We ended up asking for my entree about 3 times. Our waiter came by, and although was quick witted and somewhat pleasant, was never seen again for the entire night. Finally my so called "entree" came but it came like the churrasco with 2 small, thinly cut slices of meat. That's it!!! How do you call that an entree? I ended up sharing some of my husband's meat because I was left so hungry. For the price, I think we would have had a better experience at Peter Lugar's. Including the churrasco, it was NOT worth it. I am so upset, so disappointed that I am ashamed at the service we received. What was supposed to be a special night for my mom turned into a horrible experience. (She even complained to one waiter about the bad service - something she would never do). I've never been so embarrassed. I am NEVER coming back to this place. There are other Brazilian restaurants that are really good. I have to say that I also should not have tipped the amount I did because it was not deserved - either the food or the service. Never, ever coming back.

Terrific fresh food with superb service Bardomiano. He made our first a wonderful experience. Excellence is deeply appreciated and he is that. We will highly recommend the restaurant to others.

We were there for dinner with the kids. It is a high quality steakhouse in the style of a churrascaria. The food is absolutely top and the price is more than cheap. Food and drink are very good and the Service is very attentive. The price corresponds to 6 people.

Huge restaurant. Low quality of service. Discreet meat. Very high prices. Tourist, unfortunately I did not like it.

Excellent meats in the Churrasco menu. Diversified starter buffet. Very friendly and welcoming staff!

I had placed a "Butcher to Go" order on the Internet, but had a problem with the site, so I had to call in. When I called, the young lady informed me that normally she couldn't take those orders, but with the website issue, she would take the order anyway. When I arrived for the order, she explained that there was a problem with the order, and I had been billed for the "cooked" cost on one selection instead of the raw, but she had applied a credit since I ordered raw. I thanked her, and drove home (2 hours away). When I arrived, I discovered that none of the food had been cooked, and it appeared I had been overcharged. After reaching out to the customer service, the representative very politely explained again, and I realized MY misunderstanding. Five Stars PLUS for customer service. Absolutely would visit again. Special thanks to Beatrice for being so understanding, and Denise for being Absolutely on the Ball with service.

We were super well received, the food was great Tiago and Ricardo if I don't mistake the names, they are Brazilian gave us total attention. All very good that we went twice.

Great steakhouse in midtown Manhattan. Amazing meats of all kinds, delicious and exactly as each customer wishes. An impressive buffet with all kinds of salads, fruits, appetizers and even soup. When we find ourselves again in New York we will definitely visit it. The service also makes you not bother with a generous tip

Typical Brazilian churrascaria in a very large but rather well-kept environment The meat is great, all of it. Very courteous staff New York “fancy” price, I’ll never get used to it, but you don’t exceed 100USD each without alcohol

Really nice bar menu - which allowed a puck and mix for a picky teenager ! Great price for a glass of red wine and a Shirley temple for my teen

I have visited this place several times over the years. In the past, I found the salad bar unsatisfactory, but this visit really impressed me. The salad options were great, the staff were friendly, and the service was very good. We tried several types of salads and really enjoyed them. However, I was a bit surprised that they didn’t serve the grilled cheese with honey this time, which I had loved before. I hope they bring it back. As for desserts, our favorite is always the crème brûlée; it’s delicious! The only downside is that the prices are a bit high.

Very dear staff not suitable for the environment and restaurant Meat nn of excellent quality I will never go back Endless queues even with booking Rude staff Tips for spending $150 elsewhere

An important location and not an everyday one, good quality products, friendly staff and plenty of meat while there's room for it. A large and rich buffet welcomes you, if you manage to resist the temptation to overdo it you will enjoy the meat more. In the medium-high price range compared to an Italian restaurant, in NY, from what we have seen in a few days, it is instead positioned in the average.

Worst experience imaginable. When I arrived I was told it would be a wait despite previously making a reservation. The hostess was very rude when alerting me of all the reservations. What’s the point of a reservation if my table isn’t reserved. Waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to be alerted that my table was ready, by then I was already seated at a nearby restaurant. If you make a reservation here don’t expect it to be honored.

A neat and well styled modern bar come foyer opens up to a dramatic space for dining with that wonderful ambience common to many of the restaurants in the chain. Whilst we’ve been working are way around them over the USA we’d not gotten to this one until now. The vaulted / open storey space here adds a new level of spectacle compared to other branches we’ve visit and a great space and backdrop for lunch or evening dining. Queue a couple of beers in ice cold glasses (perfect for the weather) we were soon up to the buffet station for some salad, cheese etc. form the beautifully presented and regularly topped up display. With a few items on the table to nibble (I still don’t know what the little batter bread like things are called but they are lovely) the meat started to arrive. We had the Churrasco experience (couldn’t comment on anything else as we only ever have that) which was up to the usual fantastic standard and variety, coming at just the right pace and with cuts to your liking (rare side through more well done) and as ever the team were great at accommodating any requests for a beautifully flame charred edge or something from the middle. Also slipped in a delicious strawberry hibiscus caipirinha with Cachaça and it seemed to be actual strawberries not syrup! Lovely on a hot day. Had a little room left to finish with a little fruit from the buffet area. And to eat the little fried bananas or plantain they’d brought earlier. Could not fault the service or overall hospitality from the linens on the table to the team servicing the restaurant - and we were checked on just the right amount in terms of top ups or fresh plates. Bathrooms were also clean and tidy . Overall left full of various cuts, predominately beef on this visit, and making a note to absolutely return when we are next in New York, though we’ll be over to the Miami one again in a few weeks then checking out the Austin branch. If you’re familiar with the chain then the overall space in this restaurant is far more impressive than many of these. The display for the fruit, salads and meats was also up there with San Antonio (which is the best one we’ve seen so far) And if you aren’t then if you like meat this all-you-can-eat freshly cooked cuts of meats to your table on a rotating basis is likely to be something you want to try (and come back to) but come hungry…

Fabulous find!! Just ran into this place while exploring the oculus! Terrific happy hour! $10 cocktail and $6 appetizers? Affordable and DELICIOUS! Malia (bartender) and Jonathan (server) provided first class service! So delighted we discovered this hidden gem!

Beautiful restaurant with big buffet and great meat choices!Good price for what it offers and very polite service!Kids also loved it!

Horrible. We were table of 2 for diner. I invited a client to thank him for a business deal. We ordered Picana and Lamb. I did not receive a single slice of Picana. The water glasses never got any refill. So no meat (despite 3 very gentle reminders) in a steakhouse is NOT OK. The meat was 56 USD each. As a sign of courtesy , they charged me 40 USD just for a salad bowl. Really ??

it was good food very yummy/srs I like diego as in the server he was nice would reccomend kudos the food was very appealing to the eye

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST QUALITY MEAT! Toughest beef and lamb we have ever experienced. Hard to see the piles of food thrown out because it was inedible. The cost was $600 for 3 people and we could have had an amazing steak dinner anywhere for that money. One positive thing about this place is that they are exceptional at feeding hundreds of people like a cruise ship.

was there for the surf and turf event. I confirmed. We were asked to pick a seafood side for surf and turf, again, which we did. Our table was missing a light which they added eventually. This table too, was in the corner of a large dining area. The service was attentive enough. The bill, was over $100. When questioned they said what we ordered was a totally different experience. A few members of the staff reiterated that and said the booking on their list does not show my booking against the $45 event. How is this on us? Our bill was not adjusted. My guest and I ended up paying twice the amount we originally signed up for without an apology or any way to remediate their error. The one other event I went to before this, again, responding to their mailing list, I was first offered a corner table in spite of the restaurant being quite empty. I find this behavior racist and a bummer. I felt like twice, I was pumped for a good time and felt unwelcome and had to pay a premium for my presence. I get a much better experience, and value for money at other locations in New York City and won’t go back.

WOW! Of the best fogo de chao, not to mention the best, Warm Mood, Variety in Food, Meat, Delicious, I had never tasted such a cane, congratulations to the rice, very fresh and with good texture and flavor, net, deli the beans.

On September 6th, 2025, I had a 7:45 pm reservation for 14 people. 6 of those people were at the restaurant at 7:45 and were told that they cannot sit at the table unless at least half of the group was there. Whatever. I was running 10 minutes late and received multiple calls within those 10 minutes asking If I'm coming, how far away I am. I said that I am only a few minutes away (It was raining, more traffic than usual and I ended up having to run in the rain because of how much pressure they kept putting on me "We are about to give up your table"). I get there just before 8 pm and apologize for my tardiness. The lady at the front was now asking me how many people from my group are there and how many are coming. I said that I made a reservation for 14 and so 14 are coming, at the moment we are 7 or 8 people, but everyone will be here within the next 10 minutes. She keeps asking me about the amount of people that are here and when everyone else is getting here. It's really annoying because the group is pretty large so I have to go over to the bar to count all the people in my group like a kindergarten counselor to know exactly how many there are. So I come back to her with a number and at the same time 5 more people from my group walk in. So I tell her, this is my group and we are ready to sit down (I have no idea why the table was not given to us already) - at this point it's a few minutes past 8 pm. She goes on asking me about the exact numbers AGAIN. I tell her that "we are all here". My group is literally taking up the entire space in this lobby. So she tells me "Okay". 15 minutes go by of us standing right in front, while another lady keeps calling all these names for other groups. My group is waiting, we are a big group, some are visiting from Spain, some haven't seen each other in a while so everyone is just chatting and hanging out, no problem. 20 minutes go by. At 8:30 I approach the lady again and ask her how much longer before we can sit down. She looks at me and says "Okay, I will check" (??????), walks up to the other lady with the iPad, who starts yelling out my name like I'm not standing right in front of her. So I say yes I'm right here. Her response: "You can go downstairs". Literally. So dry, no manners no nothing. The both of them were acting as if they are doing me this huge favor of letting me sit down at this place. I don't know, super annoying experience. Good thing my group was a bunch of Spaniards who just enjoy life and talk to each other and be happy no matter what. I think better service would go a long way. But I'm never coming back or bringing anyone here ever again. The food was okay. Buffet 4/10, meat 6/10

The midtown Manhattan restaurant is beautiful, the food uniformly outstanding and the service staff all super friendly and professional. A truly wonderful and special dining experience.

Restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. Salad bar had a nice selection. All the meats were really good and the staff are super nice and friendly. Very attentive! The most impressive staff member was Jesus Cristobal. He was very attentive and treats you like a family member.

It was my first time trying this typical Brazilian steakhouse format, and I must say I was very satisfied. The meat was great and cooked perfectly, the buffet had a vast variety of sides, maybe the only flaw was the lack of a good dessert choice. The service was excellent and you also eat a lot so go there!

Amazing experience!! Our first visit was better than we expected. I entered only with the intention of a happy hour with a drink at the end of the day, but my husband wanted to enter, and when he saw the part of the restaurant that is on the bottom floor, with a buffet to fill the eyes, he did not resist and ended up entering the roodice, and ate like a king, delighting with all the meats offered at the roodice. I said I've never eaten so well in a barbecue in these last few years. We were so well served, especially by Bruna, a very attentive, friendly Brazilian, who left us super at ease, speaking our language after realizing that we were Brazilians. We only have compliments for everything and everyone.

It was the best food ever, the serviced and hospitality top notch.👌The beauty of the place was breath taking and the best.

New York Floor Fire is located in Manhattan! I confess that I was not impressed, despite knowing the restaurant unit in São Paulo, because it does not look the same service! We were offered only the rotation option for a fixed price! The service is cordial! I was a little disappointed with the menu offered! The restaurant accepts Reservation via the OpenTable App!

local with excellent meat and low costs. an AYCE of high level meat in a beautiful location. Super recommended

My husband and I were given gift certificates to Fogo de Chao by a patient. We had heard about Brazilian steakhouses and decided to celebrate our 46th anniversary there today. Since the $100 gift certificate would not come close to covering dinner, we decided to got for lunch at the Redondo Beach, CA location. The restaurant was beautiful and the staff very professional and excellent. It was busier at the late lunch on a Monday afternoon than I anticipated. There were several groups from the tech and financial businesses located nearby, However, my husband and I are not adventurous eaters, having been raised on a simple mid western food. The most of the items Brazilian inspired offerings on the extensive and beautiful salad bar were not things we would normally eat. It was somewhat interesting to try the vary cuts of meat that were offered tableside. But they were all very heavily salted. The chicken breast was very dry. The best cut we tried was the top sirloin, If we had eaten there for dinner, the extreme dryness in my mouth from the over-salting would have kept me awake all night. All in all, it was interesting to try this restaurant 1 time, with about 2/3rds of the lunch bill for 2 covered by gift certificates. We would not go back.

We had booked at 9:30 p.m. for a birthday (clarification made to the staff). When we arrive, we are told that the restaurant closes at 11pm, so we must hurry. A very long service for the dishes and drinks ordered, for the menu at 80 euros where you can taste all the meat: it was very good and the buffet for the accompaniments in free service also. That evening several birthdays took place and we had a dessert with a candle (nice for mark), we were allowed the bill directly without offering dessert ( they clearly wanted to ship us). The staff was not very welcoming. Be a good restaurant tastefully but many bad ratings atmosphere and service. For the price there is better elsewhere!
Great Experience
Excellent food. The Meats are tasty. The salad bar is great. Yes I will come again. I was here to celebrate a birthday. It was a great choice. He enjoyed the atmosphere and food.
