$34.95 for cold eggs and food like you get at buffets in average hotels. Won't go there again for sure. The waiter epitomized every New York stereotype, which is not the norm in my experience. The Foundry Bar in the lobby is far nicer.

Good basic food options including cheeseburger and chicken pot pie, with nice basic wine selection. But woefully understaffed so plan for plenty of waiting time.

Oddly enough even at this time it’s only open after 4pm daily. I can’t reconcile this as it seems we have phased out of Covid restrictions. Hotels in midtown should offer lunch and bar service at this point. Don’t expect much but your food will be acceptable. It’s very noisy and crowded, if you go for a quick bite and a cocktail it’s fine. No need to visit unless your a guest of the Westin.

Service was very poor. Prices on menus not same as bill. When you question them, poor reason for difference. Switch and bait.

Before you head out for the day - this is worth a visit before you day start in the city. the food quality and service was very good and attentive.

Understaffed restaurant/bar rude and un attentive staff. Multiple eating options around the hotel for better price and service. Margaritaville for instance within walking distance and at least you get a greeting.

This bar is located in the lobby area of the Westin Hotel at the Times Square. It is a nice bar to hang out with friends over drinks. This bar offers a good selection of drinks, but the bartenders skills seem to vary a lot. The two same cocktails that we ordered looked and tasted different. We ended up sending them back for adjustment. The price is typical for bars in the area.

Our family of four grabbed lunch at Foundry before NY tourist activities. My husband got egg white tostito something, kids got NY Cheeseburgers, and I got NY Salad and soup. Salad was blah. Not much thought went into mixing stuff together. Didn't taste good. Soup was 3 out of 5. Kids rated sandwiches 7 out of 10. My husband loved his meal. Probably won't be back.

My husband went here for breakfast and advised us to go some where else. His breakfast cost him $45 and he said the buffet was not very good and most of the food was luke warm.

You do not expect much from hotel restaurants but we were pleasantly surprised by this one. It is small and intimate and has a great view of the street. In the morning on a floor below they have a sumptuous breakfast and excellent table service. A great find!

As a frequent SPG guest, I have had the pleasure of staying in some very nice hotels and dining in a number of excellent restaurants. This was not one of them. Our bad experience began when the waitress brought our drinks and we noticed that my fiancé's glass was completely dirty. We asked for another and this was also dirty! We then ordered a chicken quesadilla plate to share. After 45 minutes of waiting for this simple item, the waitress finally brought it but with no explanation of why it was late. The manager did come over and apologize for the service and did take the food charge off the menu but the waitress herself never did anything to make it right nor make us feel welcome. There are plenty of choices when it comes to dining in NYC. Do yourself a favor and don't choose this one.

Made the mistake of trying the breakfast buffet on the first morning of my stay at the Westin. Bad idea. Powdered eggs and make your own waffles for over $30. There are so many delicious restaurants within blocks and I had no idea. Didn’t make the same mistake on day two.

Go somewhere else. The food was tasteless, and it was the worst coffee that I have ever had. One dish did not list that it had meat in it. It is overpriced for what you get. I expect this at a 2 star hotel. The fruit was good and that is all.

While staying here we had an evening snack near the bar. Street view is nice. Cocktails and wine by the glass are a little expensive. We ordered chicken quesadillas and a pizza. Huge portions and could only finish about half our food. Unfortunately there is no refrigerator in the room-so that was wasted. Our service was good. They also serve a buffet breakfast in the lower level, which was included with our room rate. This is just standard hotel buffet, nothing special. Can be a little crowded and noisy

What really bothers me is that for 2 of us the price was $84 - for breakfast buffet? The hash browns looked like the ones that come frozen (oval shaped) and are heated. The selection of pastries, breads and cereals was good. The waiters did come around for a second round of juice/coffee.It was convenient the first day after that we went out.

Very poor service! Thought I would enjoy a snack for my room after logging a full day in beautiful NYC! Stopped off at the bar for takeout. Told to take a seat. Lori did not acknowledge me at all. After a few minutes, I asked - may I order? I am told - I am very busy right now! Absolutely- no problem! 5 minutes later- I asked to order a hummus bowl please. She said ok. Check was brought and never offered a drink or anything else. I requested a water, no ice while I waited - she never asked! She then proceeds to have fun, joke with her colleagues, and ask a new customer- “hello, sir, what would you like?” I asked for my water to be filled twice while I waited for about 10 more minutes. So a total of about 18 oz after logging 25k steps! Again, never asked if I wanted anything else and well, maybe that was that. But the shock came when I was leaving- Lori asks- Don’t you want the bathroom key after all that water? What? Your only conversation is to be rude when I am leaving? No smiles until then? Terrible reviews of this place sadly justified. Average $19 hummus - $25 with my tip while being treated poorly at bar! Would not recommend

So while eating I thought it was fine. Right in line with your average free continental breakfast at any hotel chain. Then I got the bill $145 for 3 of us. Seriously $35 for powdered eggs that taste horrible? If you’re charging those rates at the very least put in an omelette bar. Service was seriously lacking as well. Couldn’t get a drink.

I had a full breakfast buffet at Foundry and it was delicious there was a nice variety and the staff was very friendly

Good selection of hot and cold food, we had breakfast here on our last day. You help yourself to whatever you wanted and they bring tea/coffee juice to the table. Staff were ok not too friendly but it was on the day of a snow storm so maybe a little short staffed. All in all nice place and convenient if you are staying in the hotel.

If staying in hotel, drinks and a bit of food is competent in a bright room overlooking street below, but average food at best and slow service mean no reason to come unless you'd like the convenience of not having to leave the building.

Poor quality food. Service was good except for no question about uneaten food. Just cleared it away. Like it happens all the time. Had to pay for two main courses because the first one was not edible. Nobody cared.

Great staff, friendly, attentive. This hotel as a whole was great. Would love to come back. Thanks to the front desk staff.

Stopped in here for drinks on the way back to our hotel. Nice environment and tastefully decorated. However, the prices were ridiculous even for NYC. We will not be back.

Food was not good. Breakfast is buffet only. Expensive, not good, they ran out of food. They cleared our table before we were done.

We had drinks before going to dinner and it was fine. The waitstaff seemed to just be hanging out talking to each other, but I am sure this is because they were not terribly busy.

Ate here for lunch during a conference in the hotel. Service was undistinguished and average speed. Menu not imaginative at all. Food well prepared. Great opportunity totally missed.

Small downstairs area for the breakfast buffet compared to the size of the hotel but the quality of the choices was first rate. The servers were friendly and efficient keeping coffee and soft drinks flowing and bringing the check when asked, instead of forcing you to loiter when you have a great city to explore. Food was hat and varied with good oatmeal, fresh fruit, interesting meat choices, blintzes, crepes, etc. It is a bit on the pricey side but I feel I pay for array of choices even if I don't eat everything. If I wanted to eat from a menu, I would go to that place. But this was great since we were hotel guests.

This was the perfect spot to watch the Super Bowl game. It was chic and comfortable with couches and a very large screened TV. We ordered the usual bar food that is associated with the game - pizza, Kobe sliders, chicken wings and something a little different - Chicken and Waffle sliders. WOW! delicious. Then later for dessert, we had cheesecake and an apple pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with coffee. Of course we had beer. The best part was that the setting was very intimate and nobody asked us to leave when we had enough food. We stayed as if we were in our own houses for the entire game 6:30-10:30 pm What venue allows you to do that? It was one of the best bars to enjoy in all the years I've been watching the game. I hope to go back next time.

We visited the bar area with friends who were also staying at the Westin Times Square with us. We thought we'd start out with drinks and appetizers and see where that got us since the prices seemed pretty expensive. We were met with a very awkward server who literally snuck away backwards without saying a word (we didn't even notice he had left) because we were debating between two appetizers. We ended up getting the cheese plate and the hummus. Neither had enough carbs for dipping, and the cheese selection was just ok. I think they use top shelf liquors as their well, because our well drinks were quite expensive. We decided not to order entrees because of all of this. If you're staying at the Westin and don't want to leave the building, sure, go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend.

You want rude, poor service at outrageous prices? You found the right spot. The waitress was condescending and acted as if she couldn't be bothered. The slides were the size of quarters and on crunchy bread. If you just want to give away money - give it to the homeless guy down the street.

But at least staff were friendly. Food selection however is very limited. Tried the chicken quesadilla; found it bland. But if your UberEats delivery flakes out on you, this is a useful alternative to room service (if you're staying at the Westin).

Had drinks and late-night snacks with traveling companions. Excellent food, drinks, atmosphere, and service.

Went for dinner and lunch. Had the halibut over butternut squash risotto and was very tasty so ordered it both times. Unfortunately the lunch serving was quite over done, with some char on it and tough over cooked fish consistency. Should’ve sent it back but didn’t have time. Definitely should’ve done right for a $33 dish. Colleague ordered the guacamole and salsa, which was rather skimpy and she didn’t like it, although I thought it was ok, and both agreed the plantain chips were great, although the standard chips were very underwhelming.

The food could have been the best food in the world, but service was so terrible that I'll never return. I waited about 10 minutes to be seated, even though to my surprise, when I was led to my table, there were empty tables (and no one had left while I waited.) I waited again about 10 mins and then got up to ask if I could please have some water and have someone wait on me. The manager said she'd take my order, which she did. I got my food quickly. I got salmon tacos and they were delicious! Yummmmy! Then I waited for about 10 MORE minutes AFTER I had to flag down my server to get my check. After waiting, I got highly annoyed and gathered up my belongings and went to find him. He was at the register, trying to ring up my check. Then he handed it to me and it was for soup for $10 less than what my meal actually was. He said at first to forget it, just pay the $9, but I said that's a huge difference. I don't think he knew how to void it and rering it. So I told him to just ring up $10 under "open food". He again said never mind. So I paid the $9 since I did my due diligence in requesting the correct amount twice. I would hope that a restaurant in a tourist part of town, in a hotel, would be more together than this and I do hope it was one of those bad days because the food really was delicious.

It is rare to find a great hotel bar that has a great bartender. This bar is just that and nothing more. It serves just a simple bar menu and drinks - nothing fancy. That's what makes it great. There is a well-trained bartender who knows the classics and a great atmosphere. More hotels should follow suit.

I can't speak for the food here, but if the cocktails are any indication, expect it to be sub-par. If you are looking for a good cocktail or a nice glass of wine, go elsewhere and fast! We came here pre-dinner on a Friday night. The menu had a limited list of overpriced wines (expect to pay about $16 for a Kim Crawford for instance) and cocktails, none of which sounded very appealing (i.e. a margarita made with red wine), so I asked for a classic Daiquiri. I would think this is as basic as ordering a martini or a Manhattan and that most bars would know how to do this. They had no idea. So, I found the recipe -- just simple syrup, lime, and rum -- shaken and served up. Extremely basic! The waitress glanced at this, said she got it, and went to check with the bar (I don't think she even noted the proportions or how it should be made). She came back with two tall glasses filled with ice and what tasted like sugar water with maybe a splash of rum. It was really abysmal. To their credit, they took it back without charging and I instead had a glass of overpriced champagne. The place does have a nice view and they give out great complimentary mixed nuts, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars and not one. But I will not be back since I prefer to actually enjoy my cocktails.

We ate in the Foundry Bar a few times and really enjoyed it. Good food and good value. We also ate Breakfast here once - Good food, but not worth the $80 we paid for the two of us. The bar is in a good location and takes you out of the hustle and bustle for an hour or so

Yes, I know this is Manhattan so that may seem obvious, but the place is small, not that nice and three non-alcoholic drinks (We were headed to Drunk Shakespeare - great show) were $20. Seems a bit high.

We dined in the Foundry Bar. There is a good drink and food selection. We enjoyed the daily soup, cheeseburger, and chopped salad with salmon. Along with a very nice Joel Gott Cabernet. Nice view of 8th Avenue. Comfortable seating options.

Decided not to go out in the cold rain this evening and ordered the one steak choice off the menu. Medium rare filet with potatoes and brussels sprouts. The steak came out in the medium to medium-well range and the sprouts were charred to a crisp. Not sure if the sprouts were supposed to be carbonized, but the steak was definitely overcooked. Accompanying bourbon sauce was tasty. Thing is that it's not too difficult to cook a steak to order. Kind of feel like the kitchen was mailing it in this evening. Service was pleasant, but I finished my steak off without her checking in to see how my steak was cooked. Short answer is that I probably should have gone out in the cold rain to some place that knows how to cook a steak. I'd recommend you doing the same for the prices charged at Foundry Kitchen & Bar.

Standard hotel breakfast. Baked goods are cold and hard, oatmeal like soup. Good coffee Very nice staff.

I do not know what they charge as being SPG Platinum we get it complementary. Good selection of fresh fruit. Good hot food that changes from one day to another. Great selection of nuts and dried fruit. Good porridge. Buffet is nicely set out.

Horrible service or lack there of. My wife & I spend 5 days and 4 nights in New York for our anniversary. When we tried to go to Foundry’s for a bite to eat & a cocktail no one greeted us at the door and when asked we were told to seat ourselves, which was a challenge in itself because a lot of parties sat in areas where there were more chairs than in the party so it took up space for others to dine in. Once we found a table in the corner it took the waitress along time to come see what we’d like. Needless to say we left w/o being helped and dined elsewhere.

My husband and I were staying at the Westin NY Time Square, where the Foundry is located (temporarily the bar is on the lower level). We ordered a nightcap, TWO Maker's Mark Manhattans. The arrived, two different colors; one definitely stronger. It occurred to me lying in bed a little later, that they FORGOT to put MAKERS MARK in MY DRINK!!!!!!! Really!?!?!?! There were 4 other people at the bar that evening. They were getting ready to close the bar; literally, closed it up and rolled it away! Those two drinks cost us $39.20 plus tip. I am shocked my husband left them a tip.

A lovely bar within the Westin, good food with courteous and attentive staff. Quite expensive but that's what you expect from such a luxury hotel.

I'm not a big fan of buffets, but they do a nice job. The food quality is good and there is variety day to day. The table service is adequate.

I want to make sure that I am not writing here about the breakfast buffet which is also provided by Foundry in the downstairs area of Westin New York at Times Square. The breakfast buffet is excellent, both in the quality of food and in the quality of service. This was just a quick stop after the last show (Live Long, Aladdin!) and before my departure from Westin early next morning. I just ordered some vegetable soup and some side order. I am sure I was the only one in the bar area who had soup at 10 pm during Holiday time. Plus (minus, rather) I don't drink. The server cautiously greeted me, silently took the order and ... disappeared. But there are still nice sympathetic people in this world, and Kerry, the Manager of Foundry, turned out to be one of them. She was very attentive, very amiable and easy-going, served the meal, and we chatted about the restaurant. Thank you, Kerry, you are a good person! And a proper manager! The soup was excellent, by the way.

There's not a lot of food choices but the views of eighth Avenue are great. Beers are about nine dollars apiece but it is time square. The service was great and it's a nice upbeat atmosphere. If you're in Times Square definitely worth a visit. And the bartender made me a killer margarita definitely worth a try.

I went here with my daughter for breakfast one morning and I was not overly impressed. The food was OK, they had basic scrambled eggs, some with spinach, some stuffed pancakes, potatoes and a few pastries, cereal, breads etc. It took forever to get coffee and water and the service was slow. Very average in general.

We came for lunch on a Sunday. The food was good, although the menu is limited. But we were absolutely shocked at the slow service. It was not busy, but a burger and fries took about half an hour to serve!

To be fair I am unable to rate the food quality here. We were hotel guests here for 3 nights. They were disorganized and unaccomodating so we decided to dine elsewhere.

Stayed here for business long days, cold out and some nights just wanted to grab bite and crash. It was very good for a hotel restaurant. Staff great.

Fine. Basic hotel restaurant, food & service. If you are stuck at the hotel it will be fine. Otherwise walk around & try some other restaurants.

We had vouchers for the breakfast and it was only ok. Not sure I would have paid what they are asking for what you got.

we had to meet our hosts here for an upcoming event and we all ordered filets for lunch. they brought them out well done and it was like eating beef jerky. terrible food and service.

The snack type food in the bar is very good. I would suggest the Sloppy Club if you are hungry and the Boston Seasonal beer is very nice. My only other observation it that it is a little cramped, but still good. The staff, like all the staff in the hotel are spot-on.

The breakfast offered at the hotel was ok. I would not say that it is something to write home about. The variety of options offered were what I would say are basic breakfast choices. Toast, Oatmeal, Cereals, Bacon, Eggs, Sausage, etc. There are probably better options to choose from outside of the hotel for breakfast. Convenient if you are staying at the hotel and is included with your stay. Not sure I would spend a lot of money on the breakfast if it wasn't part of the package I booked.

It was getting late to go anywhere outside the hotel to have dinner, so I came in the Foundry Kitchen restaurant, where I was seated right away in a nicely appointed table facing the very busy 8th Ave. The menu offered a variety of dishes, I ordered Foundry Burger ($25.00), which could have been great, if it didn't need to be warmed up. And it was warmed up, upon my request. The ingredients were tasty, fries were excellent, and in that whole arrangement sparkling Saratoga couldn't be better and more enjoyable. The service was polite, but I had to wait a substantial time to have the dinner served. From what I could see, the bar wasn't very busy, neither was the whole restaurant. Overall, the purpose of having the dinner was accomplished. The Foundry Kitchen restaurant is located in The Westin New York at Times Square hotel.

Nice place to stop for a drink and quick bite if your not in a hurry. Staff was friendly but very slow due to being understaffed.

The drinks and food are definitely overpriced. For hotel guests, it is apparent that the food/drinks are priced in this way to make up for the $30 per night fee guests pay to receive a "credit" at the hotel restaurant/bar. It was helpful or necessary for us to eat in or close by one night. What a final charge on the bill!! This occurred even after the credit(s)! Our server was outstanding and most helpful on what were tasty choices or generous portions. However, it would have taken kitchen staff very little effort at all to add excitement to some bland items! Calamari was lovely but dipping sauce was unique - not bad, but different. Chicken Quesadillas were generous and delicious. Chips and guacamole with plantain chips and salsa were very good. Dinners were more ho-hum. Quinoa Salad with added salmon - cooked beautifully at medium - could have benefited with a little lime or lemon juice and/or fresh ground pepper at the very least. Pasta was good but nothing super special. The cheesecake was beyond amazing! Seriously, amazing - and recommended by the server! Again, the prices were crazy. So unnecessary!

In The Westin so really convenient if staying there. The food is very good. It's not a dress up , plan a night out kinda place but it's easy and casual. I had the risotto dish and it was different than I'm used to but really very good.

Breakfast buffet served daily for $32. The food is fresh but very average to below average. They have a full buffet and a continental buffet. Very small, crowded dining area.

We arrived at the Westin late at night and decided this would be a easy place to get some food, it worked out perfectly. Great atmosphere and I loved the view looking down on the streets from above. Our lovely waitress (she was not only nice, she was hottt) was great and told us to take our time and let her know when we were ready. It had been a long day and we had no clue what we felt like eating. We decided on some burgers and a chicken quesadilla. The food was very good. The Foundry is a nice place to kick back and enjoy your surroundings. I highly recommend this place.

Food was OK but not worth the price. Fair choice of drinks in the bar and friendly helpful staff but city prices.

the food is average . The helpings were very large. The seating overlooking new york roads was nice. The service could be better

We had a meal here after checking in to westin hotel. Lovely views, attentive staff, nice salad and mini burgers. Very expensive for what we got, so we did not return as there are so many options on the doorstep.

Very nice continental breakfast. A little bit pricey, but you are in four star hotel in the middle of Times Square.

It is an ok bar. People are very nice, wine choice mediocre. Pretty view of street scene. Pretty typical hotel bar?

We were staying at the Westin, so went for breakfast on our 1st morning. It was expensive, service for drinks was slow and little choice. We opted for a different place after.

I went to Foundry for late night drink to meet a friend at the Westin. They have the usual big screen TV showing sports. The bar tender is quite friendly. Drinks are a bit expensive but it is the Westin lobby so it is expected. They do serve nice nut mix while we drank. Its OK if you are staying at the hotel

We had to wait until our room was ready in our hotel so you had the choice between fast found or a restaurant/bar in an other hotel. The food was okay but the servant a little bit over done. For one time it was okay but we will not come back.

Wanting to find someplace to eat before the theater we saw the sign on side of hotel and popped in to check it out. Dining was in the bar, luckily we found a spot at the community table. Ordered the quesadilla and Kobe sliders. Quesadilla was good and had lots of flavor. Plenty for two people. The sliders were good. They would have been better if cooked on a grill rather than a flat top.

We stayed at the Westin and wanted to get a few drinks before retiring for the evening. It was fine - plenty of TVs for us sport's watchers. Not a very large beer selection. Friendly wait staff.

We stayed at Weston for a couple of day’s around the Memorial Day weekend and tried having desserts and drinks at the Foundry Kitchen on one of those nights. Though the desserts were good, the bar service was pretty average. Considering the location, I suggest you explore all the great restaurants and bars in Times Square and try this place only if you are too tired to step out!

We enjoyed our dinner. The food was fresh and well prepared. We used the Destination Fee offer to offset this cost. The waitstaff was helpful and even uncorked my bottle of wine I had purchased for my room.

We had the cold breakfast meal option with our room and received vouchers for each person for each day. If you opted to take any hot selections, you were charged an additional $9 each. The cold option had a variety of pastries, fruits (cantaloupe, melon, blueberries, black raspberries, bananas, pineapple chunks.) and sliced deli meat which varied each day. They also offered cereal, yogurt cups, nuts, granola, toast, bagels. Staff was quick to seat you as tables were cleared.

We stopped by here a bit late, but not really late by NYC standards. We were hoping to get some food and a drink before heading back to our rooms. I am aware that certain courtesies are not extended by typical New Yorkers, but it would seem to me that a question like, "Can I get you anything?" would be asked once you arrive to a table. We were given menus while not being asked if we wanted a drink to start off. We then waited a while to see if our waiter would return. After about 15 minutes we just decided to leave since no one was available to ask a question like, "what would you like to order?"

The quality of the food is fine. We enjoyed our cheeseburgers, but wow, expensive. The service was very slow. We only went since it was conveniently located in the Westin.

Having stayed in the hotel for a few days we realised we had been given dining credit for every day of our stay. We therefore decided to use it up on breakfast on out last night. Now, prehaps being from the UK I expect a lot, but $32 dollars for overcooked bacon and scrambled eggs that tasted like they have been sitting there since 7am was not what I call value for money. Having just visited Vegas, we paid $30 per day for a breakfast of far superior quality. Stay away. The hotel is okay, nothing to write home about, but there are much better breakfast spots even on the same block...

Cold place, overpriced salad, skimping on main ingredients, way too much vinegar! Quinoa was barely visible. Small. USD 27!!!!

I first had breakfast down here. It was check out day...seemed awkward to go to lower level with luggage. They had good menu options, healthy choices too. Was back in the city this month and wasn't feeling too great. It was nice to be able to come down here and have a simple meal of hot tea and soup. Trust me, I missed out on many other good options. My colleague had a good sized hamburger. There are so many options in NYC, but you don't have to venture far off your stay.

Nice comfortable bar with a large selection of drinks available , we did not eat there but the food that was being brought out looked delitious . Drinks were very expensive .

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Not much of a variety on the hot food but the turkey sausage was a great addition and very thoughtful for those who don't consume pork products. The wait to be seated was too long and meal was a bit pricey!

Lovely place, very clean and family friendly. All breakfast items were plentiful, fresh and well presented. Staff very nice. Highlight of our stay at The Westin New York.

We had an afternoon matinee theater show and needed a quick bite before the show. The Westin is a nice hotel right on 43rd street so we popped in. Up the escalators past the theater box office (the popcorn smelled fantastic) to the second floor and thru the big glass doors into the Westin lobby. The Foundry Restaurant & Bar is modern & chic with cushy low chairs and tables along the windows looking out on 42nd street. Great spot for people watching. We had an adult bevy to start (Patron Silver on the rocks $18.00) then tucked into Shrimp Po' Boy Sliders (3) and a California Cob Salad with a generous amount of sliced Avocado on top ($20.00). Both were delicious. Not to name drop, but at the next table the Governor of a Southern State and his entourage were having lunch. Great food, and excellent service by "Srba N." As we were finishing, the Master Chief Boz Brown came out to ask how we liked the food. He is an excellent Chief and we complimented him on all that we had.

Staff was just bad, starting from the laden at the entrance to the waiting staff, never smiled. Always late with the order. We stopped going there after one visit, though I had a breakfast included in the rate as a platinum member.

The ambiance was OK. I had a table looking across a busy street, but it's not a good NY view. Portions were large. Salads are expensive, and could feed 2-3 people. But, when you pay over $25 for a salad, you expect quality. The thin, dry piece of chicken on the salad was the poorest quality I've had for a very long time. Service was good.

Great dining for adults or families with older children. Quiet small tables, very cozy. A variety of cocktails

Great selection of seads and dried fruits, great fresh fruit also. Good buffet all over and nice atmosphere and great service from Don, thanks.

This place is located inside the Westin Time Square. The hotel recently started charging a $25 destination fee - which is ridiculous - but the good news is that you do get $25 worth of food and beverages and you can use that credit at The Foundry. It gets pretty packed at night

Had a few drinks in here whilst staying at the Westin !!! Best Long Island tea ever !!! Service with a smile would highly recommend you try this place out !!!

Service is rather impersonal and not consistent. Some staff aren't really interested in assisting guests and I have seen people wait for tables for a few minutes although several tables were empty. Breakfast is pretty good, loved the smoked salmon and the berries in particular. Unfortunately they charge extra for Lattes or Cappuccinos.

Although this is a small space it offers a good choice and the food is really good. The staff are lovely too.

As we were stopping in the hotel we tried the 'Foundry'. It had a nice atmosphere and the food was excellent at a reasonable price. The experience depended on which waiter looked after us, either very friendly or just miserable.

I wish this place had more professional staff, but unfortunately Elez did not deliver the level of service we expected. A friend called us on FaceTime, and while we were talking, Elez claimed we were “too loud.” Instead of approaching us privately and respectfully, he chose to address it publicly, which was unnecessary and unprofessional. It’s Thanksgiving Day, and it certainly felt like Elez was unhappy to be working and took it out on us. Someone in a customer-facing role should know how to handle situations calmly and professionally. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning. The behavior we encountered from Elez was unacceptable for any hospitality setting.

I loved the food here and the great view from the resturant. The management is great as well, thanks Glen you were the best. This is a self seat restuarant which I loved, I got to sit where I wanted each time..its nice and cozy, with a slight romantic feel.

I tried the frisée/spinach/quinoa salad. Taste was ok but that was very pricey. Service is slow and it is a noisy atmosphere. People don't talk. They shout to their friends, on their phone. Not a quiet place. This restaurant is located in the Westin Times Square hotel.

We enjoyed a table with a decent view and shared a New York basil pizza which was average but we were exhausted and needed a break from the streets

The Foundry Kitchen and Bar is on the second and first floors of the Westin Hotel Times Square. The bar sector is very pleasant with a nice basic menu. It has a great atmosphere, and the food is acceptable. I found the serving staff are very friendly and willing to help. Their 'normal/standard' margarita is really good. I say normal because I've found that many places in New York have added their own twist which simply detracts from what it should taste like. However to each their own. That being said I found the food at the restaurant downstairs just acceptable, however crazily over priced.

If you're in New York and want a great breakfast and incredible food, The Foundry has it all! I always love coming to New York and eating in the street side cafés. There's something special about the personal touch given to the food by the vendors in New York City. However, this morning my sister, daughter and I decided to have a nice sit-down breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a nice café right here in The Westin. We decided to treat ourselves, since this was the Fourth of July. As you can see from the photos, it was the right decision. The wide variety of breakfast foods, fresh fruit, bread and fresh juices made for an excellent dining experience. And the waiter was amazing. Very attentive and always kept the coffee and juice topped off.All in all, a very pleasant experience. The only caution I would add is be prepared for a pricey meal The buffet was $35 a person, which for breakfast might be a bit steep. But if price is not an issue, this is THE breakfast place to be!!

Compared to every other restaurant we went to over a four-day period, this one was the quietest. Service was excellent. Chicken quesadilla is savory and spicy.

Why would you eat mediocre food or have drinks at a tiny bar when you are in the heart of NYC? It's a very basic hotel bar. Go outside and turn in any direction for better options. This is a spot for a tired traveler to get a drink and take it up to the room. It's not even a decent space

As a business traveler, I found the Foundry very convenient for a quick bite to eat, drink or breakfast when on the run. It is not low cost, but it is competitive with all the local restaurant options down the street,

The food was decent and came quickly but the rest of the service was slow! It took forever to get our bill and pay.

Very conveniently located and decent ambience. Food choices aren't that many but, for me, a good collection of malt whiskies more than makes up!

Located inside the Westin. This is great for any time of day. We went in after a Knicks game for a late night drink and snack. Great atmosphere with lounge area, fireplace and high tops.

This restaurant is at the basement of Westin at Times square Hotel. We used to have breakfast . For 3 days we had almost the same type of menu. They need to apply little mind to make it better.

This was the best breakfast buffet that I have ever experienced. They have a plethora of healthy options. You can sample fruit juices in shot glasses ( blended juices such as kale, apple), get decent whole, healthy fruit such as blueberries and they also offered nuts and seeds such as pumpkin seeds, walnuts and pecans-for those who prefer to get their protein that way. The servers were all extremely attentive always refilling water and coffee and taking away plates we didn’t need. Plus, Brad, the restaurant manager is the epitome of hospitality!

The food was good but the range was small. Not the best buffet I have been to in a high standard hotel.

We visited this establishment because 2 nights before we had been in another place that we were told was the same chain (John Doe Bar & Kitchen , located at 253 5th Avenue) and because we liked it so much we went to this one thinking it would be the same; but it wasn't, just something similar. They are pubs where you can taste some quesadillas, some calamari, some burgers... with a beer from the house. In this case the food was not well prepared and there was a lot of control in terms of service; however in the Doe Bar, the food was very well made and they came to ask if you had liked it or not; and especially the waitress who attended us who spoke perfectly Spanish, super friendly and very helpful. I put here the opinion of the two because I have not seen where to think of the Doe Bar, which we liked and recommend.

The Foundry breakfast is crazy expensive for a buffet. Go next door to Gourmet New York for something more reasonable.

After a long day of meetings I stopped into the restaurant and bar at the Westin Times Square for a late 9pm snack and drink. My waiter was superb--- Elez-- and recommended the titos martini and house made hummus since I was requesting a healthy late night bite. Both were fantastic!!! Actually, I think the hummus was the best I've ever had. And served with toasted pita bread was a tasty and healthy late night bite. Would highly recommend this bar lounge restaurant.

As with everything in NYC, you are promised lot, and get very little. We had to fight ourselves in the Foundry (at 4.30pm). As Westin guest just wanted a nice dinner (not 2 eggs for $28 or a pizza+cake+drink for $108 Filet was overcooked, and the brussel sprouts got cremated before we can consume them!

Our 5 night stay at the Westin was inclusive of vouchers were we could have breakfast at the main restaurant. Place was not that spacious. But well lighted and somehow comfortable. It was buffet American breakfast. It was the usual suspects , sausages , bacon , cereals, oatmeal , eggs , salmon , cheese and breads. Sorry no station for omelettes. There was a do it yourself waffle and hot cake station , but you wait 3-5 minutes for your turn. You might ask , if cuisine choices change . Yes , they do. One time there was dimsum, one time a frittata, and one time it was a maple chicken slices. Hash browns one time , then it was sautéed potatoes . Service, most of the wait staff are ok. Loved that they include a soda in their buffet. They serve a diet canned soda every time I was there. And on the last day , mr moustache gave me a diet soda on a glass , a deviation from the usual canned the others gave me. I don’t know what is his issue with me.

We decided to try the Westin Foundry’s buffet breakfast just because it looked like exceptional value for what was on offer. It wasn’t very nice and expensive for what it was. Breakfast is served down some stairs in a room with no natural light. The decoration and design is 1980s, perhaps 1990s. There’s plenty of food, and if you have a large appetite then you’ll be extremely happy. However the food was very basic, and something that you could knock up in your own kitchen, and do a better job. The staff were great though. Attentive, helpful, friendly, and forever tidying up tables, and asking if everything was OK. It’s best that you search out a diner or a café nearby rather than go to the Foundry. It's just not worth the money.
Overpriced!
Foundry Kitchen and Bar sits on the lobby level of the Westin New York Times Square. The bar is fairly busy, with a natural stream of hotel guests. The service isnt super friendly. The bar is dimly lit, reasonably clean and has decent second story views with large windows. The food and drinks are drastically overpriced... Even for a hotel. Even for NYC. The cheapest beers (Corona) were still $9 a bottle. Wines were in the $14-18 for cheap glasses, cocktails $20. If this were the Peninsula or the Four Seasons... fine. But in your run-of-the-mill Westin, this was a tad high!
