I went here for dinner!! Dinner is a good meal!! Anyway this was so good I couldn't believe it!! They're are a few things I can't believe including David Blaine spitting out a frog and why food is always SO. VERY. GOOD!! I'm not getting angry I'm just exaggerating!! I love this place!! This place is to me what it is to me!! I think that make sense!! If it doesn't, you now have something to think about!! So, bye bye bye go go go here!! That's a chant for you guys reading it!!

We have eaten here many times during trips here to visit family. The pizzas are crispy with great sauce and toppings. Never disappointing. Pasta dishes are also great. Really like the Italian beers which I have never found anywhere else. The Georgia cocktail is also very good.

This restaurant was recommended to me, so I thought that it would be good. The atmosphere is nice and trendy, but the food was not good. I ordered a grilled chicken panini. It was very salty. Sometimes a good flavor can compensate for saltiness, but salt was most of what I tasted. I tried some of my daughter's clam pasta. The pasta was undercooked and there was no clam flavor. I won't be returning to this restaurant.

Had a delicious pasta dinner last night at Fumo. Located in Hamilton Heights with a stunning view of City College, this dinner was an indulgence and a treat! Tried the spaghetti carbonara and the truffle fries- huge, delicious portions and a lovely date night ambience. Highly recommend!

I had the mac and cheese from heaven, probably with truffle oil because it was delectable. I can't wait to go back.

We stumbled upon Fumo Friday night after arriving on holiday . We were welcomed in without pre-booking. Restaurant was busy. Had shared starters and dessert with own main courses. Stand out dishes were spiced calamari starter, prawn salad as main and tortufo dessert. Liked it so much we went back in Sunday again and restaurant was nearly full. Food and service just as good and we were recognised which was great. Happy to recommend.

I would recommend this restaurant for the quality of food, this restaurant has very efficient management and staff, when staying in NYC I have tried their take away food which I could not fault. Now If you like draught beer none served bottles only. The only fault I would have and this is the music is far too loud, and no need for it at all, the only thing that could be heard was boom boom base beat, head aces all round.

I have not been to the restaurant. However, i have literally ordered 100s of times. The food is absolutely incredible. My only two issues would be the price and portion. I’ve spent about $80 on take out for my son and i. A little much especially when i believe the portions size are very very small. BUTTTTT let me clarify, this has not stopped me from continuing to order from here. The food is too good. Probably the best in the area where i can order in from.

Outstanding. An unexpected gem near CCNY. ABSOLUTLY th BEST food around. We highly recommend anything on the menue.Be sure toeat there at least once.

Great tasting pasta, really good happy hr! I went on a Tuesday evening, it was not too crowded, I ordered the Shrimp Rigatoni- it was fantastic, juicy and succulent! I have been here prior with my girlfriends for happy hour, just as good! So good!

Went here for their $10 pasta Sunday. The food was delicious. I recommend the whole wheat primavera.

Good prices Great food and menu Best coffee I had in the US for a month! Place looks great with nice background music and above all nice and generous staff:)

I come here at least twice a week, it s my favorite place in the neighborhood. The place is beautiful, the service is good and the food is very good. I feel at home here, it never disappoint me. My favorites dish are BAKED ZITI and KALE SALAD, for Brunch the best one is EggBenedict! Great job guys. Special thanks to Lorella. See you soon.

I always go to fumo for the pizza but this time i tried the pasta, it was delicious, very good taste and the service was pretty fast. This is my go to place when i don’t want to go far.

We hadn't been out to eat in a while, but took the opportunity to have dinner with our daughter. Fumo was her recommendation and a great one at that. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. For a cocktail, start with a Perla. Both my wife and daughter did and loved them. To start, we split a Margherita pizza with a cauliflower crust. Delicious! For a main course, if you are in the mood for fish, try the Branzino. My wife and daughter both loved it. If you are in the mood for pasta, which I was, I recommend the Spaghetti Funghi. The Marsala Cream sauce with truffle oil was wonderful. And the spaghetti was cooked just right. Both my wife and daughter couldn't keep their forks out of my dish! If you find yourself in West Harlem or looking for something new to try, I definitely recommend heading to Fumo!

Me and my family came here from England. We stayed just around the corner. We had dinner here on our first night and really enjoyed it. Delicious food and very lovely staff. We stayed in New York for 7 days and ate at this place 6 times, having both lunch and dinner. We enjoyed very much. I will defiantly come back here if I ever travel back to NYC :)

Had an opportunity to dine at Fumo earlier this month on service & food were great. I went back tonight for a dinner party Amazing is how i can describe is. Food is really good better than good. AMBIANCE Romantic low key. Dress code casual. Visit FUMO you will not regret it. FUMO is one of my favorite restaurant in NYC.

Went to Harlem FUMO on 139th Street NYC for mother's day. We were told by waiter that some appetizers may take long because of mothers day. So we did not order some calamari that we wanted. A table next to us who were seated after us ordered calamari and it came in about 10 minutes. We complained to waiter but he just made excuses. Then we had to complain to manager because the food took way too long. Other's who came after us were served first. The food came in bowls instead of plates and were small portions. We have gone to the FUMO on the upper west side , 108th street, and the service there was ten times better.

Fumo serves one of the best Chicken Parmesan dishes that I have had. The pepperoni pizza with truffle oil was also wonderful. Tables are quite small, especially if with a large group.

The food at Fumo is exceptional and the service is amazing! I've been to Fumo for lunch and dinner and both experiences were fantastic.

Fantastic restaurant! Delicious food and the best coffee in the NYC. So happy we got here and had such an amazing experience.

Staying a few blocks away, and this place was recommended. We walked over, and luckily no wait. Food was great!! We got pasta and salads. Pasta was cooked perfectly. The shrimp salad was great! Shrimp was smokey and sweet, with a balsamic dressing, greens and asparagus. So glad that we took a chance.

We followed a recommendation to check out Fumo and loved our dinner. The pasta, bread, pizza, chicken and drinks were excellent. Our server was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed but still upscale. 2 teens and 2 adults agreed that this was a great choice for dinner.

I surprised my partner with a dinner reservation at Fumo Harlem since today was our 9th anniversary since we first met. Everything was perfect. The ambiance of this establishment was pitch perfect; music playing in the background but you could still have a conversation. The food was simply amazing. Snack, main dish and dessert. Our server recommended a sweet white wine. The chicken marsala was da bomb! My partner said so was the penne Ala vodka. I surprised him with a bag of chocolates and an anniversary card that talked about all the ups and downs, so across all the empty space on three sides of the card I wrote random things inside little purple bubbles that were "the good" and "the bad" that we've been through in nine years. He started crying and said it was beautiful. Perfect night all the way around thanks to Fumo Harlem. I just wish they were able to hold the flowers I called asking about to have whomever our server was bring them out to the table. My partner really would have soaked his cheeks then.

We were looking for a place to grab some dinner one evening, and we found this spot. We were actually planning to eat elsewhere, but they had crazy long wait, and this place was less busy, so… We still had to wait but only about 10-15 minutes of wait. We put in our order and waited for the food to come out. When the food came out, the complimentary bread came out at the same time. We were struggling to put everyone on the small table, but we somehow managed. We ordered one appetizer, Eggplant Parmigiana and one pizza, Parma. Again, everything including the bread came out at the same time. THe appetizer was tasty and comforting. It was a bit small, since it was a “snack” but the price point is almost the same price as some of the pizza dishes. The pizza was tasty but not much aroma or the flavor of truffle oil. I could still taste it a little bit, but not as much as I wanted. Also, the amount of prosciutto was a bit less than expected… For dessert, we ordered Tiramisu and Tartufo. The Tiramisu. They were both tasty desserts to end the meal. The service was friendly and nice, we had a good dinner here. I wish if we receive the food in order, with a little break in the middle so that we could consume them little at the time, without worrying about them getting cold.

the food was fantastic, the staff very attentive and sweet, and even though COVID is here to stay, we could still get a sense of a good ambiance (of course good company always helps!) the risotto was delicious, the branzino tender and tasty, well executed. will go back!

This fusion of pizzeria and Italian restaurant (OK, there's a bar, too, but I haven't used it) is a welcoming place that immediately became a hit with CCNY faculty and with students, too. The food is uniformly excellent; the service is kind, unobtrusive, and expert; and all in all this is a great place for lunch or for dinner.

I had a pizza and my date had pasta. Reasonable drink and wine prices. The restaurant was clean and bright. Nice bar. Quick professional service. The food was great. I would go back for sure.

Well designed restaurant with very attentive service and good food. The pizzas were tasty and the cocktails very refreshing.

Located on Amsterdam Ave at 139th St. you will find a nice Italian bistro eatery.t Dining inside or out, it chic and tastefully decorated- Nice staff. Next week I'm serving my crew of 15 persons and will most likely return at least once after that. I needed a place that is close to the University, has a friendly staff and provides good food after a hard day at work. meet Piero-- Owner- Splendid chap. They have special lunch price for $10. And Sunday is pasta night and Monday is half price for wine by the bottle! This is a great reasonably priced Italian restaurant in NYC Food choices, you must try the baked clams. the sauce is amazing- dipping the fresh bread is a must. Check out the hamburger, or try the pasta with chicken. I did the Branzino fish pan fired with garlic and extra virgin olive oil...- served with spinach and garlic. My wife had the shrimp franchisee with fresh vegetables. No time for dessert this trip.... They also have a nice catering menu and they deliver. I expect to be back next week!

Had some folks in from out of town doing a tour of Hamilton-related sites in the city. We were looking for someplace to get lunch with 3 kids under 10 after seeing Hamilton Grange and before heading to the Morris-Jumel mansion. I suggested Fumo just based on the menu available online but was worried we'd be running into huge brunch crowds taking advantage of the bottomless drinks deal. Well, we got there early enough to avoid MOST of the crowd and the staff was super friendly. They don't have a kid's menu but their menu is definitely kid-friendly. All 3 opted for the french toast (super delicious.) I had the chicken and waffles with a spicy honey sauce (SOOO GOOD), there was a grilled cheese and a kale salad for our table too and everyone was very happy with their selections. We were in and out pretty quickly and I was super happy I was able to find a nice, stylish place to eat that was kid friendly.

Called in for brunch ended up having gluten free pasta yummy! Nice servers we'll be back! Great choices and nice atmosphere

Yes, yesterday after an incredible jazz recital at MSM, Manhattan School of Music, we went for dinner at this great Italian restaurant in Harlem, New York. Excellent food, vibe, ambiance and atmosphere. Good Malbec wine, and the Pasta Chicken Votka was delicious. Mi son brought his lovely pig bull. We had a great and wonderful night.

We've been here twice this fall - once on a balmy September evening when we ate outside - really special by candlelight. Last time, it was too cold and we ate indoors. Still good, but pretty loud. The food is good - definitely above average, but not memorable. The atmosphere is what makes this place great. Would return.

Right across the street from CCNY, this charming little Italian restaurant has good, quick service, a very pleasant atmosphere, and good, traditional Italian cuisine. There were three of us, all ordered something different. Our friend was a regular, who ordered a dish that was no longer on the menu, which they happily prepared specially for him. My husband had the chicken marsala, and liked it, and I had pasta with mozzarella and basil and tomatoes, and it was just right. Would have it again gladly.

I walked into Fumo for dinner with my husband and I got a warm and inviting feeling the moment I stepped foot in the restaurant. The atmosphere is so friendly, the decoration is classic and very New York chic and the staff is very attentive. I had a glass of Procesco which was probably one of the best I have had. I ordered the clams as an appetizer which were amazing and the meatballs which were juicy and flavorful. As the entrée I had the steak dinner. The steak had this wonderful tangy flavor to it and was told that it was marinated in house Teriyaki sauce. Fumo is definitely a go to place visit frequently. Run in for a quick cocktail, meet friends at the bar, have dinner, lunch, brunch it's all good! I will be back!

This is a lovely neighborhood spot. One of the most pleasant, casual interiors in a restaurant I've seen with a small outside eating area. The menu, Italian, is varied. Service was good, portions were generous. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I'd be a regular.

Ate here on a gift certificate, so we had good expectations and unfortunately we were disappointed. The pizza is our rather average. It's made with a roller instead of being stretched. The spaghetti with mushrooms was OK, but tasted like the cream sauce was from a jar. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer. Coffee was very average. Expresso was quite good. There are many other places that serve better pizza and pasta in the neighborhood.

We visited Fumo one evening whilst staying the with friends. It was their recommendation and I can see why they like it. We opted for the calamari with a spicy tomato sauce which was absolutely delicious. The calamari was well cooked and still crispy on the outside yet soft in the middle. Then for mains we both had pizza. I chose the slightly odd but well worth a risk buffalo - chicken with hot sauce and a blue cheese sauce over the top. A combination that after I’d started eating I was baffled as to why I’d never had this before. It works perfectly. My husband had the slightly more risk adverse pizza with pepperoni and meats on it, which was also really tasty. A very happy visit and I’d go back whenever I can.

My partner and I took family here on Saturday. I accidentally made reservations at their upper west side location but there was room for us and the host and server were super gracious and accommodating. The ambiance is cool: dark but not too dark with warm lighting and nice views to busy Amsterdam Avenue.

We were visiting a relative in the city and she really did not know the area. We happened upon this place (which did not have a sign) but was called FUMO. Italian food and everything was delicious! The Rabe pizza, burger with truffle fries, spinach salad w/ avocada/carrots/sweet pecans, penne vodka, arancini for an appetizer and ALL was delicious. Good service and very nice upbeat atmosphere. Not a "dark -bar" setting. Prices were slightly lower than other restaurants in the are (I think) You can make reservations online as well.

Fumo catered an event (pro bono) for the advertising/communications students, alumni and hiring managers at City College last night. and could not have done a better job is we were the most expensive party they ever expected to serve. Everything was fresh, delicious and beautifully prepared, with a variety of dishes to please all attending. Kudo for their generosity and commitment to the neighborhood they serve, and more so for the fabulous food! I am customer now and will be an ardent supporter.

I placed an order for delivery to my friend's apartment through the Fumo website. The delivery was scheduled for 7:45pm. At around 5:30pm, our food was delivered. My friend called the restaurant to explain that the dinner arrived over 2 hours before it should have and we did not want it yet. However, he was placed on hold for over 10 minutes before the call was disconnected. The delivery driver waited patiently while my friend was on hold. Not being able to get through to the restaurant and not knowing what else to do, my friend took the food, tipped the driver and sent him on his way, and was going to try calling the restaurant back. Shortly after the initial call got disconnected, a woman from the restaurant called my phone, since my number was the one on the order, and apologized for delivering the food so early. She said that they would remake our food at the appropriate time and deliver it at 7:45. At around 7:55pm, our new food had not been delivered, so I called the restaurant. The man I spoke with said that we should have refused the food that was delivered at 5:30. We explained that we tried to, but was unable to speak to anyone at the restaurant after being placed on hold for 10 minutes. At first, the man refused to provide us new food at the time that we asked for the food. His excuse was that he has a business to run and we should have refused the food at 5:30. That's a horrible excuse. We tried to refuse the food and running a business means providing the services promised. He was very rude and accusatory the entire call. Eventually, after arguing for a few minutes, he incredibly sarcastically agreed to remake and redeliver the food so that it was "piping hot." The whole experience was bad. The man we spoke to should have apologized and remade the food. I emailed the restaurant about this experience, but I never heard back. I do want to add that delivery drivers were both very nice. The first delivery driver was particularly patient as we tried unsuccessfully to contact the restaurant.

Fumo is a great neighborhood joint serving the CCNY/Hamilton Heights/Upper Harlem area. The food was superb. My mushroom pasta was creamy and rich, the pizza was fresh tasting and apps. were very good. Throw in a nice bar menu, a lovely open room and some outdoor seating and they have a hit. After dinner, stroll the CCNY campus.

This place has a nice atmosphere and the food choices and quality are excellent. A carafe of water was left at the table, instead of needing a server to constantly refill our glasses. The napkins were cotton as opposed to the starched synthetic napkins restaurants often have. One of us had a burger, the other a breakfast, and they were both yummy.

Found this place via tripadvisor and it was a great find. Both food and drinks were good. I had a salad and my boyfroend hd a pizza. The prosecco was bueno.

Fun and delicious! We sat outside with my daughter’s dog. I’m kind of snobby about Italian food, and everything here was really good!

Across from City College, Fumo is a great place with very good pizza and more. We were in a hurry which was no problem from the excellent staff.

Was enjoying the architecture of City College and noticed this place across the street. I always like restaurants with big open fronts when the weather is warm. After a little more walking around, we decided to stop in for a drink at the bar. Stanton, the bartender, welcomed us and introduced himself. He explained the happy hour specials, recommended the beer and promptly served us by pouring two cans of beer into two glasses simultaneously, with one hand. We watched Stanton, the other bar tender and even the owners make sure that everyone was cared for and happy. That was when we found out that Fumo was only four days old. We decided to stay for dinner and shared the kale salad, meatballs and eggplant parm appetizers. Drinks switched from beer to wine (still at happy hour prices), which Stanton poured by cradling the bottle in a towel so as not to affect the temperature. The space, the drink, the food, and the service made finding Fumo an unexpected treat. Will definitely return.

FUMO is awesome! The hip open space, the friendly and welcoming staff, the delicious food and the tasty bar drinks. Located across from City College in Harlem, Fumo serves up some really good Italian food, from pasta, seafood, pizza and fantastic appetisers. You can't get a more courteous and welcoming staff as you're made to feel at home. One or more of the 4 owners are always there to greet you. Stanton, The man in charge of the bar is gregarious and a genius at mixing up a tasty cocktail and has redesigned several cocktails which are barrel aged, (Try the Negroni made with Tequila or the Old Fashioned made with Rhum) YUM! Everything is top notch and if you live in the neighbourhood or you want to check it out, please do stop by FUMO, you will not be disappointed.

Its really nice there, portions are big, amazing pizza, the menu is rich, amazing wine list as well!

Fumo on Amsterdam Avenue in Harlem is a lovely little Restaurant with a few surprises. It's not got alot of ambiance but what it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in the food and service. Chloe our server was wonderful and we started with the delicious fried artichokes and dipping sauce. So good. I highly recommend. Their bread is also quite fresh and good. I had the Spaghetti Funghi, a spaghetti in a light cream sauce with mushrooms and truffle oil. Ample proportions and the truffle oil gave it that extra yumminess, sorry not a word. My friend got a fresh salad with shrimp, tomatoes, feta cheese and she liked her dish very much. For dessert we had the canniloni, the ice cream with strawberries and chocolate, also very good. All in all a nice little Italian Spot conveniently located. You'll be very pleased with the meal.

Went here for dinner with friends who recommended it and were very happy. I had the pesto pasta, my wife a pizza and our friends had a pizza and another pasta dish. The food was wonderful, starting with the bread and olive oil with balsamic, the service very good. We weren't rushed even though they were very busy. Excellent.

Just amazing food, pizza is so delicious and the artichokes and meatballs and spicy calamari is crazy delicious..we have a great time . Thanks

Visited The Grange and found this little gem. NYCity pizza, IMHO, is either great of forgettable. FUMO was the former. The crust was properly charred and very tender - you didn't have to "pull" on it with your teeth. Sauce and toppings are very good. Spouse had a salad and gave it two thumbs up. Moderately priced wines. Nice view of the City College's historic buildings. Staff attentive and knew their menu and wines.
Excellent. Favourite restaurant in area
Fantastic pizza. Modern, clean and fun restaurant in an area of New York lacking fine eateries. Highly recommended. Has a quick and easy pizza take out next door also excellent.
