Stylish Korean BBQ in Fashion District

By Walter T W |

Yummy Korean barbecue restaurant in a stylish setting on the 39th Floor of the office tower at the corner of 32nd and Broadway. The servers are knowledgeable and attentive, there are selections for meat lovers, seafood choices and vegetarian. The wine list is decent and affordable and the view outstanding. Reservations are needed (but take a chance to see if there is a table available which I did).

Excellent and authentic Korean

By Anuraag W |

My personal favourite was the bibimbap, the service is great ! Love the view from the top ! Honestly I can’t remember the authentic names but everything I tried was great . The staff was so careful to change the grill when they did beef ( no no for me) and then changed the grill plate to do chicken for me ! I remember the snickers dessert , lavender crepe brûlée and interesting twist to the tiramisu were great 👍🏼 a must try when in New York - especially when I discovered Macy’s etc at the end of the street ! Korea way !!

Greasy

By Jonathan F |

Overpriced and very greasy. Cod was very fishy and poor quality. Lobster rice was super greasy. So was glass noodle dish. Dumplings were ok…just been sitting around a while. We had no alcoholic drinks and it was still $220 for 2 people. Felt like it was living off the view. Made me feel ill.

Good views and food

By alyxzandreaphoenix |

The service here is amazing! We ordered the GAON set as recommended by our server and it was really good. We were served some Korean side dishes, egg casserole and soy bean stew and it was all delicious. The menu came with 3 types of meat that they cook for you at the table and it was very good. Very filling. The views on the 39th floor were also amazing! Great ambiance, food and service.

Food and service very good, thieves in TIP

By Rebolleitor (2MM seguidores) |

You cannot charge a 20% tip in a high-end restaurant. They also added almost $100 to the tasting because it was not included in the given price. It is immoral not to notify you in advance. Hence the final account. NY is an expensive city but we never felt aggrieved to this extent.

Great Korean restaurant with perfect views of NYC

By arnoldoaroma |

We very much enjoyed our first Korean restaurant experience. The food and esp. the Korean BBQ were very good, waiters were very attentive and the restaurant atmosphere was very good. A few days before our visit, we asked for a window table and got it - thanks a lot to the team to make this happen, views were great.

Excellent meat restaurant with exceptional view

By xavierg934 |

Excellent restaurant by * the quality of the meat (we took BBQ) * view * the professionalism of the service The price is also 5 stars but it's worth it. Unforgettable moment for us

Excelent food

By lolagenoves |

The Restaurant located in the 39th floor has incredible views of the city. We're a party of 4, restaurant week lunch, good service, food was delicious, the portions were big and we enjoyed all the choices. Definitely, I will be back, probably at night to enjoy the awesome view.

Great view and ambience, but food is disappointing

By John |

Was spending a few days in Manhattan and was looking for a nice Korean Restaurant. Made a reso for dinner on a weekday. I knew the price was going to be a little steep for the location and the vibe of the restaurant but I was at least expecting the food to be somewhat worth it. I tried the several appetizers: sweet & spicy fried chicken (3/5), the steamed dumplings (2/5), and braised pork belly (1/5). The food was very disappointing and couldn't even finish it (and we were hungry). We also tried the stew (seafood tofu) which lacked flavor. Maybe I ordered all the wrong things and should of stuck to the KBBQ. But wanted to give others an honest review.

Good Korean BBQ

By Culture116991 |

For our second visit we were lucky to have diner with the view. No change from our previous visit, still same quality in term of service and food. Being 5, this time we choose to have various entree to share. Great idea. We had 2 sets and the duck breast and veggies bbq platter. So much to eat and meat was perfectly cooked on the BBQ, by the staff. we'll find a reason to come back...

Fantaxtic view and excellent food

By RcikS |

I had never been to a Korean restaurant but I'm glad my family went to this one for a birthday celebration. Parking is validated in the building so it is easy to access at 32nd and Broadway. This location is the heart of Koreatown,. Once off the elevator the view at night is a breathtaking panorama of Manhattan from the 39th floor. We were seated at a round table for six with a barbecue grill in the middle. I ordered a gin and lemon drink which was quite good. We shared appetizers.with interesting vegetables, short ribs, and chicken. The beef dishes as entrees were really done nicely before your eyes. I would recommend every short rib dish and rib eye as well. The desserts were also topnotch. I had baked Alaska which I would recommend to anyone.

A great place with a great view.

By Atle N |

Great located restaurant on a high floor with a great view. Attentive service, nice atmosphere, reasonable price. We went for the bbq package, meat was prepared at the table, great selection of side dishes. All in all a very nice evening. Will for sure be back.

Fantastic food, service and views

By John D |

This restaurant is located on the 39th floor if the Nomad building at 31st and Broadway. Two walls of the space are floor to ceiling windows, so there are great views from every table. The views alone are worth the cost of dinner, but we had amazing food, and it was cooked at the table. Every table has a grill in the center. We had marinated as well as dry aged ribeye, kimchi, a vegetable platter, and tuna tartare. Everything was just great! We would go back here in a heartbeat!

Koreatown & What A View

By moskowitzs |

I lived in Tokyo for many years and visited Korea a few times - so - I’ve eaten plenty of Korean food. The styles between Korea and Japan vary. Gaonnuri exceeded my expectations and that of my wife in unexpected ways. The service was friendly, efficient, and easy (esp considering we have a 22 month old). The food was fresh and very consistent - all of the vegetables were homestyle and not too spicy. We tried a flight of soju that really gave us a nice flavor range of this “Korean” vodka (and influence on Japanese shochu) from dry to sweet. The meats, beef and chicken, were exceptionally fresh. Our son loved the food (we weren’t surprised!). What makes it even more special was the views from this 39th floor restaurant. Too for those oenophiles who read this, they have quite a selection of wine from all the great wineries.

Midtown skyline and korean food

By Catone Recensore |

Restaurant on the 39th floor with a very beautiful Manhattan Midtown skyline. Professional waiters and very cool environment. Eat entree dish and meat (duck, pork, chicken) and fish (shrimp) on the grill, drink beers. All very good, cooked by the waiter at the table. To try! [Locale al trentanovesimo piano con magnifico skyline su Manhattan Midtown. Camerieri professionali e ambiente very cool. Mangiato entree e carne (anatra, maiale, pollo) e pesce (gamberi) sul grill, bevute birre. Tutto molto buono, cucinato al tavolo dal cameriere. Da provare!]

Sumptuous dining experience

By dustythoughts |

We came here for an early dinner before seeing a theatre show, and we had a truly elegant meal here. The atmosphere is refined and welcoming, the staff are impeccable, and the food is absolutely delicious. The entire experience felt sumptuous without being stuffy, and the view is stunning. I loved the steamed dumplings, and there are plenty of BBQ options for both meat-lovers and vegetarians alike. Bring your patience, because it gets busy here and it takes time for the food to cook, but it's well worth it.

Friendly Place

By Ural Ü |

We went to this Korean restaurant as a family. Restaurant is placed on the top floor of the building and has a direct elevator. Staff was really friendly. The food was delicious but the whole experience was a bit rushed. Overall we really enjoyed the food and the views of the restaurant. I recommend this place.

Alright

By jcr3883 |

Perfect Attentive server without excess. Nice view We benefited from a table by the window and special attention for a birthday. The only downside is that the dishes are served while the cocktails are not finished.

Worst dining experience

By Tracey d |

Sorry but all the bad reviews are true! We were very much looki g forward to our anniversary dinner but unfortunately it turned out to be a tourist trap. Starting with the entrance on the ground floor which was dirty and the welcome desk very unwelcoming. The upstairs welcome was just as icy. The girl didn't care to smile, just said they need us to be done in 2 hours. The waiters seemed very rushed, not asking if food or drinks were okay. Wine was way to warm and we didn't even get to taste if it was to our liking. Our waitress was friendly but she didn't even know if the food was spicy or not. In a good restaurant the waiters should get to try the food to know what they are serving. Food wasn't great either. Had better Korean barbecue in a mall in Vietnam. Dessert was the worst i've ever had. Also furniture should be replaced. One of the worst dining experience ever. Only plus was the view and that i had my husband next to me

Underwhelmed despite location

By Amanda M |

This restaurant is on the 39th floor of a tower block, with views of the Empire State Building and the prices seem to reflect this location. Although the restaurant decor was timeless, that is where our enjoyment ended. Our party opted for the table barbecue rather than traditional Korean dishes. One of our party suffers from a food allergy, which we told the staff about. This resulted in their starter having to be changed. The staff then proceeded to tell us what couldn’t be eaten from the barbecue meats and sides, rather than suggesting alternatives. Although the meal was tasty, I don’t think it was worth the money.

Great Food and Location!

By imlay |

My wife and I had reservations for a Friday night in late October. As this was our first time in the city and construction was being done on the building, I found it a little difficult to locate the front door. Once in the building, I was surprised to find an empty lobby but a packed restaurant on the 39th floor. The hostess quickly sat us at a table with a nice view- floor to ceiling glass showing off the city lights. We ordered the glass noodles with beef appetizer and combination #1 for two. The noodles were great and the combination, cooked right at the table, was amazing! I felt like we were the only people in the place using a knife and fork, but it didn't matter because the food was so good, the view impressive, and the staff very friendly. The food as noted plus two waters was about $120 and $150 OTD. Based on my one experience I would recommend this to others.

Epic Korean Food, Great Views

By Brian C |

Our concierge at the London Hotel told us about this spot and we are soooo glad he did! This place is incredible!!! Great service, food, view, energy and vibes. Need anything else? Make sure you BBQ while you are there. I also recommend the 3 course menu. This place is jam packed with insane flavors! One of my NEW favorite spots in New York!

Delicious Korean BBQ in the heart of NYC

By Justin K |

Wow, what a gem. Opened our eyes to Korean BBQ. The Wagyu Flatiron barbecue on the table was fun and delicious, as was the black cod entree and fried chicken appetizer. The sauces for each were really perfect. Great ambiance and service as well.

Simply superb

By harpmanie |

I had my birthday celebration at Gaonnuri on Christmas Eve and I along with my guests were blown away by the high level of food and service. The views on the 39th floor are of course amazing but honestly we were treated to an excellent meal by staff who anticipated our every need before we did and almost glided around us without ever interrupting the flow of things. We had three course dinner with coffee, two bottles of wine and water for around $150 each which was very good value in my opinion. That included the tip which was gave full for. Our waiter made some excellent wine recommendations and even served me a birthday desert on the house. The restaurant is beautiful so don't be put off by the office block exterior and entrance...a gem awaits you.

Relatively quick service and great view

By Albert L |

We went here on a Sunday night for dinner. The location is at a skyscraper and you head straight to the top floor. The views, especially if you are at the windowside are very nice. The food courses for the prix fixe are all traditional korean food, except for dessert, which was more of a fusion based dish. Either way, the portions were decent and the barbecue was well-cooked at the table for us. If we get back to NY soon, we'd definitely visit again.

Dinner

Located on the 39th floor this restaurant is really nice with very good food and fantastic views when you get a table by the window. Can really recommend this restaurant and the “table bbq”

Best-kept Secret!

By Travelhui |

On the 39th (top) floor Of a business building, this place must be one of the best secrets in NY! Fabulous views, and quiet, business-friendly atmosphere, and easy-to-order prix-fix as well as tasting menu for lunch. The food was not amazing, but was good.

Fabulous - as always

By Jennyxobu |

My favorite place for Korean bbq in New York. Great food and great drinks! And a spectacular view! Try the mushroom tangsoo. It’s amazing!

One of my favourite nights ever

By KarrieB1234 |

We were recommended this place for a special occasion as we were celebrating a birthday. We were not disappointed. It is located centrally and on the 39th floor with magnificent views over the city. We were lucky to have a window table although with the high ceilings and windows, and elevated central tables means that all diners can enjoy the view. We ordered starters and a couple of mains and were going to order a 3rd main as we could not make up our mind, the guy serving us was so helpful and suggested that unless we were really hungry the 3rd main was not necessary and we could always order it when the other 2 mains came out and it would be with us within 5 minutes. His advice was absolutely right as it would have been too much. One of the main courses was the BBQ option cooked at your table, what a great dining experience, unlike anything else we'v had. Would 100% recommend for a special occasion or just a night to remember.

Too much noise and no more courtesy

By Anna M |

The food was good however the music was too loud and prevented communication between us. Overall the buzz was very invasive. The price was quite high and I didn't appreciate the lack of courtesy of the gentleman at the reception who gave me the coat hastily and without the invitation to wear it.

Everything was great

By 18067354079 |

The service the wine the food everything was fantastic. Good space for our group and everybody could talk together no noisy music. A+

Fab meal with a view

By Ronen99 |

This is a hidden gem. Its on the penthouse floor of a high rise in Ktown on Broadway and very close to MSG and MACY'S. Service was impeccable. Views of the city below are a huge bonus. Food is moderately priced. We had the salmon and Korean bbq and were very happy with the flavors and the quality and quantity of the food. I highly recommend it and would suggest to reserve a table by the window for fully experiencing the views.

I loved

By Lauly S |

Thank you for welcoming us late for my 60th birthday! My daughters and their surprises! We have just arrived from Montreal where I am visiting my daughter, we are heading to NY and arriving at this magnificent restaurant, the xxl meal, delicious, the staff at the top and the famous dessert. Thank you all for your professionalism despite our late arrival. I loved it , it will remain a wonderful memory from the South of France.

Very goos

By johan magnusson |

Went here with large group and really enjoyed the evening. Upmarket Korean with a fab view from the 39th floor. Also quality of food is high.

No

By Olga O |

Non friendly service, we came to have birthday party and asked in advace about desserts available to put candles in. They told everything is ok. Later we found out that they have in menu only tiny cake without any possibility to put candles in it. Staff acted as if we bother them so much, restaurant close at 11-30, but everyone began cleaning at 10:45 showing us that they want to close faster. Waiters didn't give any explanations about menu, plates were dirty. No one even asked whose birthday was and brought a cake without any candles to my husband. Really we felt like they did a so big favor serving us and we really bother them. I think our birthday party was ruined. We expected to visit fancy place but in fact it's just a pricy dinnery for naive tourists and you ll be treated like this. Never again . P.s. my husband left his phone number while booking a table and now he is attacked by spam calls

Wonderful moment

By Berret C. |

Wonderful time spent at the Gaonnuri restaurant. Right in the center of NY with a breathtaking view. Everything is done extremely well in terms of the meal and the service is very attentive. Except for a small downside, the service is very fast… other than that everything was very good. Thank you again for this beautiful moment!

Good food. Bad service.

By Explore24799436375 |

Very good food (beef bbq) but the service was horrible. They made us feel unwelcome.. usually it's much better but this time is was very disappointing. Won't visit there again.

Can’t rate this restaurant high enough

By Elaine |

With one friend in NYC for weekend. We were looking for mid town Manhattan restaurant. Booked this few hours beforehand. We had 3 course menu. The food was fresh, fragrant and absolutely delicious. Service was very attentive and friendly. Fairly priced. Great choice for meal out.

Memorable Korean Cuisine with Fab View

By strafals |

On the 39th floor, overlooking Times Square and the Hudson River, we had a wonderful meal in this chic, upscale restaurant.Service was smooth, and understated. We had a combination appetizer that included a mushroom glass warm salad - just incredible! Even the dumplings were perfect. The combination platter of bulgogi was cooked at our table barbecue in such an elegant manner; delicious! We had a combo dessert whose name I wish I could remember, but it included a green tea cake, and two sherbets whose taste was unforgettable! I look forward to returning. Just a great experience.

Outstanding Food and Service at Above Average Prices

By William S |

My wife and I had dinner at Gaonnuri on the evening of December 25, 2018. This is a Korean restaurant, which is located on the 39th floor of a high rise office building at the corner of Broadway and West 32nd Street. My wife and I arrived at the office building shortly after 5 PM, and we were greeted by a security guard who used a key card to open a turn stile. We were instructed to take the elevator to the 39th floor. Upon exiting the elevator on the 39th floor, we were immediately at the entrance to the restaurant and the bar. We were greeted by the hostess who immediately seated us and gave us a menu. As my wife and I looked around, we could immediately tell the Gaonnuri was an upscale restaurant. We were most impressed with the panoramic views of the New York City skyline. The menu consisted of a variety of Korean appetizers and entrees at above average prices. Our waitress immediately took our order. As an appetizer my wife and I ordered Mungbean Jun (a Korean pancake), and for entrees, we ordered Kimchi Rice and Pork Galbi. I also ordered a specialty drink, Gaon Spritz. The service was impeccable, as our food came in a timely fashion. Plus, the wait staff was very professional, and they were constantly filling our water glasses and cleaning our table. My wife and I had no complaints with our food, as it was very tasty and perfectly cook. We particularly loved the Pork Galbi, as it was very tender. For dessert we order a Yanggaeng, which was the highlight of our meal. The restaurant began to fill up as we were eating. Despite the large crowd the noise level was low. In summary, my wife and I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone desiring Korean food. However, it should be noted the prices are above average, so it is recommended that visits be confined to special occasions.

Good food, faboulus views!!

By sandbypag |

Nice Korean restaurant situated at the 39th floor which gives you a fantastic view of NYC sky-line. Food is good, wine selection is nice and views of NYC is really nice. Service is efficient, but somewhat ”cool and soulless”.... They have a fair priced three course menue, excellent choice!!

Beautiful View.

By LTH58 |

Went there on a Tuesday evening. The view from anywhere in the dining room is beautiful. The service and the food were very pleasant. Though the restaurant is not inexpensive, it is not unreasonably expensive either. For a more relaxed experience, you can also try the lounge - nice seating, beautiful views, and great service.

Priceless view but food was not the best

By Sylvie Robert |

It worth a visit for the incredible view, penthouse with the best view ever... About the food... I love Korean food but was not top of the line for me. Seems a good tourist place to go but not for a food person ...

Best dinner for best friends

By Theron S |

Gaonnuri was an all time experience for me. It was a best friend trip of a lifetime and the omikase was beyond spectacular. The service was really great. Extra thanks to the bartender, great drinks, fun guy to chat with, and the elite old fashioned was, well, elite.

Great food, great views.

By NicoleD |

Absolutely delicious food and unbelievable views of the city. The atmosphere of the restaurant is both professional and lively. The service was quick and nondisruptive. The wait staff were readily available to help, but it did not feel like they were hovering. Food was wonderful.

What a view!!what a food

By Alexyr |

I choose Gaonnuri for the breathtaking view. The lovely service and the very good food were very appreciated surprises. As the relatively very affordable Bill (considering the location and the level of the service). Main dishes are around 24usd.(we got hot pot bibimbap - delicious) Cocktails and desserts are slightly overpriced.

Buyer Beware

By 441frankl |

Be careful with this place. Most restaurants have a 24 hour cancellation policy; these guys will dun you $25 a head for failing to notify them a full 48 hours in advance (we notified them Tuesday evening for a Thursday evening reservation). A bit of a racket if you ask me.

Mediocre Korean food at outrageous prices with hostile service and decent views

By Christopher K |

Once again the rule-of-thumb that "view" restaurants should be avoided if you are looking for good cuisine. The view from 39th floor over Herald Sq was OK (there are better views in NYC), the decor also nice and the sound level acceptable by US standards. Nothing else was good. Reservation required leaving a deposit (with draconian rules on cancellations). We arrived on time at 6:30 pm and the server "greeted" us with a warning that we had EXACTLY 90 minutes before our table would be flipped and we would be kicked out. When I told her that that was the most obnoxious and hostile "greeting" I had ever encountered in a fine-dining establishiment, she laughed neverously. I assured her that I was NOT joking and that we were off to a very bad start. (As it turned out, the restaurant was only half full - it was early - and we were "permitted" to stay beyond the 90 minute limit!) Food was second rate, and the second server provided litte or no guidance. We ordered two appetizers and two mains. The seafood pancake was tasty but dripping in grease. The fish main (black cod) was tasty, but the bulgooki bbq was not better than average and, disappointly, did not come with the usually abundant Korean array of side dishes and salads. Wine list was limited and way overpriced. Dinner with a modest Sancerre and two drinks came to $260 for 2, which seemed a rip off. I would NOT go back

Great for a celebration

By Joandgraham |

Had a bit of difficulty finding the entrance! Novices to the addresses on our first night of the holiday in NYC. Beautiful views and a very well presented, stylish restaurant. Celebrating my daughter’s 18th.. but a year and a half late due to Covid!! Def a special experience. Service was good though it felt a little rushed, and they closed the kitchen at 8.30pm ( maybe Sunday night?) Fun to have the food cooked at the table. We did the higher priced set menu for 4 of us and the steak was superb. It was a pricey eve but worth it for the celebration and the views.

Excellent restaurant with superb view

By Michael B |

This restaurant was a great find in New York. It’s situated on the 39th floor of the Nomad Tower and you have great views of the Empire State Building and whole skyline which for a visitor was a great plus. The food was Korean and We had a couple of appetisers the shrimps with fig and the scallops both were superb and large servings. For the main (entree)we had the BBQ combo. This is cooked at the table on a centre BBQ and served with several sides. It was an experience and was well managed and good food there was plenty and served at a good pace. We had dessert couldn’t have the panne cotte which was sold out but surprised as this was a popular choice and it was only 8.30 to have run out. Overall would recommend especially for a visitor for the view food and ambience

Good

By Tomberra |

We enjoy Korean food and one of the best in New York that we have visited and been recommended is Gaonnuri. We had as starters Beef Tartar and a a small Bibimbap with Spicy Porkthen we had Bulgogi and White Shrimp and enjoyed the food with Hite draft beer. The food was fresh, not big dishes but good enough. Compared to our resent visit to Genwa in LA not bad but at Genwa they serve more condiments. At Gaonnuri we had five different condiments and we asked for spicy sauces as we enjoy spicy food.

Second visit. Still wowed my friends

By BHUANG69 |

Came here a second time and brought a new group of friends from another state. All were so happy to dine with such experience and view. We had the tasting menu ($135 per person) but it's better to just chat and have a great time among friends and let the staff arrange the food for us. We had a wonderful time. Every dish was so enjoyable in the tasting menu. And yes, there is plenty of food. My favorite is actually their bibimbap. It inspired me to create a similar dish (successfully) at home. Highly recommended.

Food good, service poor

By RoamingChemist |

Table was not ready when we arrived (we were early) and were directed to the lounge. That is great as it has wonderful views. But no one came to provide drinks! Finally seated and the food was very good. But service lacking throughout. Seems like none of the staff really wanted customers in the restaurant. Or just wanted to go home.

Everything great!

Celebrated my 30th birthday with a dinner here and really enjoyed it. Great food, fantastik service, wonderful view!

Great experience!

By keepcalmanddance888 |

We have been to this place for dinner with a company of friends. It was my first experience with Korean BBQ. It is similar as with Hibachi, i should say same concept. We picked the selection of different meats and our waiter was cooking it for us. We could have done it ourselves( this is optional) but we decided to go with professional which was already a show:) What is good about the concept, they serve it with so many additional stuff that pretty quickly you will be full. Plus, meanwhile the meat is being preped, you have time to communicate. The check with wine and a few cocktails for a group of 4 was $325tap.Forgot to mention the view was fantastic. Tip: When making a reservation, make sure you ask for table next to the window

It rained on my experience

By Mac C |

First, the weather wasn't great, so the good thing was it wasn't super crowded, and we were given a corner table, but the bad thing was the view would have been much more spectacular on another night. Kidding aside, the table was wonderful. We had a nice meal - several in our party were Asians and they all gave good marks to the barbecue and pickled side dishes. Spices were tasty and not too overwhelming. Service was relaxed. All in all, it would have been a great night, but unfortunately, I left my new umbrella behind at the end of the night. I called them as soon as I got off the subway, within 30 minutes of leaving the restaurant, and left a message. They didn't call me back. I called the next day, and they said I had to come in to see if any of the umbrellas they had were mine, so I made the trip, only to have the maitre'd show me one umbrella and couldn't find any more. I asked if I could speak to the waiter - no. It was entirely my fault for leaving the umbrella, I do understand, but it is unfortunate that they do not take better care of others' property or have staff who also don't care. It spoiled what was otherwise a pleasant night.

Great view, great food

By laurent s |

Located at the 39 floor of 1250 Broadway, you don’t necessarily see it, except for a small electronic board on the left side of the building. You must get in the lobby to access the top floor. Nice view but the food is really great. We had no reservation and couldn’t get a table in the BBQ section but you can still order the table BBQ courses p, they are just cooked for you in the kitchen instead of on your table. We shared a tuna tartare, with served just with a mix of 2 Korean sauces (don’t asked me what was it in) giving a unique flavor to the tuna. Very tasty! We also recommend the bibimbap. My wife got the hot stone bowl with seafood and I chose the regular bowl with beef tartare. Both excellent. With one glass of wine the bill with tip was just over $100 which is very reasonable for NYC. My wife worked in that building for years but never noticed the restaurant. It was a pure hasard but a true gem. We’ll come back for sure!

Stunning view of midtown and creditable Korean food

By ruthfinkelsteinnyc |

Nice corner round table for group of 6 for work lunch. Wait staff patient with wide range of knowledge of cuisine (from natives and experts to novices). A few dishes were exceptional -- recommend braised fish. others were ordinary -- bi bim bop, payoung. Prices high (even considering the view)

Food better than expected..view worth to try this restaurant

By annetteapproved |

The reviews should be better. We went for lunch and the cod was amazing. Served with some vegies and korean condiments everything was very appetizing and delicious. Service was perfect

Great view, mediocre service and average food quality

By VJH95 |

We came to dinner here for the first time. It was a surprise to find out the restaurant is located on top (39th floor) of an office building in mid-town Manhattan. The view from this restaurant is astonishing. We got there around 6PM so we got to enjoy the view from dusk through the evening. The staff was nice but not very attentive. We ordered a bottle of red wine. After the first pour, nobody ever bother to refill our glasses. Now the food, we ordered fried calamari salad and tofu seon for appetizers. As other Korean restaurants, they offered some complimentary kimchi. The calamari was over-fried and dry, tofu has no taste in and so does the kimchi. For the main dishes, we ordered duck, steak and bulgogi, the meats taste better than the appetizers but definitely not top quality meats. Someone previously gave a review stated "go to the top floor, have a drink and go eat somewhere else", I personally think that is a spot-on recommendation considering all the other nice restaurants in the neighborhood.

Swanky Korean with killer views

By Havefuneatwell |

We have been to many many Korean BBQ joints in Manhattan and Queens. This one's different. It's Korean BBQ for a special occasion. If you're looking for an upscale restaurant with a cool vibe, great food, and amazing views, this is the place for you. All this comes with an equally amazing price, so beware. The entrance is on 32nd street. You are told which elevator to go up - it felt very much like Squid Game. Lol. We got the Gaon set (ribeye, kalbi, and bulgogi, which comes with doenjang jigae (soybean paste stew with tofu) and gyeranjjim (korean egg casserole), and some other banchan. We also got japchae and tuna tartare, Portions were plentiful and the food was delicious. The servers were polite, helpful and paid attention to cooking the BBQ at the table. Other than the Gaon set, there is the Nuri set with chicken, duck and pork belly. Also various a la carte BBQ options like ribeye. Many cocktails, wine, soju and a few beers are available. Lava cake and madelines (??) for dessert. I know Koreans aren't known for dessert. We are used to getting oranges. But I'm not sure how madelines made it to this dessert menu. This isn't your typical Korean restaurant in Flushing or Korea Way. Everything was excellent. Not more or less excellent than in "typical" Korean restaurants. The ambience and views were definitely outstanding. If you're new to Korean food, I'd recommend the Gaon set, japchae, and bibimbap with soju or Terra beer.

This is a fantastic Korean BBQ restaurant with amazing views to match on the 39th floor. the interior is very classic with marble everywhere and the service matches this classic feel. Make sure you have the BBQ where the chef cooks the meat on a burner bbq in the middle of your table. Book it through opentable and try and get a table at a time so you can take in the sunset.

Fantastic restaurant

Fantastic experience. Excellent meat and fantastic location with an invaluable view. The discreet and kind staff complete the fantastic experience. We will definitely return. Price is fair.

Great Korean BBQ, love the table side service

By Angela B |

Made reservations for Friday evening, early dinner with a party of four. Got seated right away and the service was great. I'm still getting used to Korean BBQ where they cook the food vs the customers...but a nice thing to not have to worry about while still enjoying seeing the food cooked in front of you. Don't really recall all that we ordered just that the mushrooms on the Vegetable BBQ platter where amazing! We all left full and overall had great conversation of a table side cooked meal. Location was great with nice lighting and modern decor.

Top quality Korean dining

By Guido V |

Staying around the corner in Koreatown I thought it would be nice to have some authentic Korean food for dinner. And Gaonnuri turned out to be just the perfect place. The restaurant is warm and tastfully decorated, the service is very friendly and the food is of amazing quality. Definitely worth visiting.

The View is Nice!

By chingjuhl |

I took my family of 4 for my son's birthday to Gaonnuri, after reading reviews from the Tripadvisor. The gentleman greeted us at the entrance was not that friendly. He later asked my family member, a 72 year old lady, to take her fashion hat off. So please, don't wear hats. The service seems very slow. It took 20 min. for them to take our orders. The table was small for 4 person BBQ. There is very few Korean before dinner appetizers: potatoes, Kimchi, sweet/sour cabbages and broccoli. My family liked the beef, shrimp and ribs BBQ. My dish Bibimbap ($26) was just soso, and I only ate a few bites. The view is impressive. You will see little bit of everything: Hudson River, sun set, streets, buildings with lights, and close shot of the Empire State Building. The space has high ceils and is huge yet feels crowded. Our bill was not small, $400 for 4-person.

over priced for mediocre food

By rath n |

view is great, but thats the only thing going for this place and i'm sure this is not the only place with a great view. we weren't seated near the window, which sucked even more! a few blocks away are much better restaurants for korean food. we need to stop supporting business for aesthetics. if you have a location like this, focus on other aspects please.

Surprise

By Deborah P |

Went after I read it was one of the restaurants with a great view of the city. Did not disappoint. The culinary skills of the chef in full display here. Enjoy this place for service, food and view. Will visit again.

Exceptional in every way! A special experience.

Beautiful, modern restaurant with breathtaking city scape views. Wonderful service and delicious food! Incredible!

Incredible, just incredible.

By Keith P |

Amazingly brilliant… found this little gem on Tripadvisor and booked it because of the view. When we got there the incredible view was amplified by the fantastic service, and the food… OMG the food was so good. Try the tasting menu, a little bit of everything. Will definitely be back.

Good views and only visiting New York once so enjoy the pricy meal but won’t go back

Good views from the 39th floor. Will probably only visit New York once so we enjoyed the pricy meal but probably won’t go back.

So Disappointed!

By ChoosyTraveler0901 |

I've been to this restaurant multiple times, wrote excellent reviews and recommended to many friends. I have never written a second review but my last visit was so disappointing in every way, I wanted to let people know. It was a business dinner and there were four of us and we ordered 3 Course Prix-fixe meal with four different appetizers. Bossam (Pork Belly) was one of the appetizer we ordered it was disgusting. Not only was it not freshly prepared (you can tell by the dryness of the meat), it had hair that you can see and taste. I didn’t want to make a scene in front of my guests but it was one of the worst things I’ve ever had. Then all of us chose marinated Galbi as our main course to be grilled on the table. There was a problem with our grill. Between the waiter and the busboy who took turns coming over to the table to adjust the grill, turned the grill on and off more than 50 times. (I stopped counting at 50), without any apologies or explanation. My guest suggested we move to another table (there was an empty table next to us) but the waiter just ignored us and started to cook the meat. The whole meal was ruined since they could not control the fire from the grill, the meat just burnt on the wire grill pan. Even though the waiter kept insisting that the meat was good to eat, he must have noticed that something was wrong. He changed the wire grill pan to closed grill pan without any explanation. It was a business dinner and I was the one who recommended this restaurant to my guests. I was so embarrassed by the service and the quality of this meal. To make matters worse, my husband and I both got sick after the meal. Spent the entire night in the bathroom. I strongly recommend the management to re-evaluate the staff and food preparation.

Outstanding food

Went with Sagari and Amaira on our trip when we were dropping her to Boston for her first year of college the food here is just excellent. probably one of the finalist Korean Barbeque we have been to in our lives

Great for a special occasion

By Susan P |

We had a birthday dinner for 4 here. The servers were attentive. The food was cooked perfectly in front of us. The view was fantastic.

First class dining with the best view of the entire city.

By ShakeandBake001 |

We really enjoyed our dining experience at Gaonnuri. We were blown away by the views the second we walked into the restaurant. The entire night was truly a first class experience. The service was truly outstanding. We were made to feel like special guests the entire time. The barbecue grill service was fun, as well as tasty. It was great having our food brought out and cooked table side. We had a few samplings from the à la cart menu. The Wagyu beef was exceptional along with the black tiger shrimp. Their desserts are first class as well. Everyone at our table, thought it was one of their best dining experiences in New York City. This restaurant is pricey, but not by New York standards. We spent about $100 per person without alcohol. For the service, views and exceptional food that we got we all agreed the pricing was fair. We will certainly be back.

View is excellent, food even better than the view

By J P |

We splurged on the $55pp prix fixe menu. Food was SO tasty and served artfully. Each appetizer better than the next. Don't miss the lightly breaded and fried mushrooms in a sweet marinade. Go at sunset to see a gorgeous N.Y. skyline. Book in advance to get a window table, or dine early to get a better chance of snagging a window table.

Stunning views and cuisine to match!

By pitch9mdk |

We were here with family and absolutely loved the dining experience. We went for the prix fixe option and tried a variety of dishes and were not disappointed in any. The views are amazing and the ambiance is unparalleled. Well worth the price.

Expensive but worth it.

By HayleyM |

I've never tried Korean food so thought why not go all out whilst in NYC? The staff were so friendly and great at explaining how best to order. I thought it was great to have it all cooked if front of us and we had plenty of food. My favourite part was the dessert inspired by snickers. I'm not usually a dessert person but this is by far the best dessert I have ever had. Overall, amazing food and views but be prepared to pay an expensive bill.

Korean food and NYC view

By Olivier-18C |

Sunday 11th April dinner with family and first NYC view experience for our children, both huge fans of Asian food gastronomy. Not that easy to find the narrow entrance in the first place as one member spotted (small door on the other side of the building) but a security person in the main building gave us the direction. Elevator to 39th floor and you enter a really large room, wih a bar and nice glass-enclosed wine cellar. For the occasion and to guarantee a table by the window, we had to opt for the tasting menu ($135). Our 10y old son accompanied us while our daughter took a-la-carte. Once seated, you enjoy a rounded table by the window, with super view from NYC (not sure we had the best one but enough to please and surprise the children). The menu encompasses pricey products: blue fin tuna, black cod, wagyu and lobster. So $135, when you add the privilege of the view to that, is certainly not out of context. Nothing to say about quantity : plentiful portions and we had more than enough, while we're all good eaters. Food was well prepared (nothing special to say about the starters: well realized, not the best black cod I had but fairly good). The barbecue is cooked by the staff in an efficient way. We were not rushed to eat which was my main concern. Both Wagyu and marinated beef were perfectly cooked, with tasty sides (kimchi, vegetables, etc). The Kimchi fried lobster was not breathtaking (more a rice dish than a lobster dish) but tasty and well seasoned. For wine, We had a Chateau Simone 2015 which was priced at $105. I am myself from that region and having experience the crazyness of prices in NYC, this is clearly good value. Service was courteous, efficient and proactive (masks are obviously not helping but some form of conviality was missing). So why not a 5-bullet mark then? Well, we ended up with a total bill of $814.51, inc. tax and service, which included: 3 tasting menu, 2 soft drinks, 2 bottles of water, 3 a-la-carte dished (1 tuna tartare, 1 wagyu flatiron bbq, 1 snickers dessert for our daugther) and the above wine. Of it, 18% gratuity was automatically applied, that is ... $115, which sounds to me fairly high when you put it in absolute terms. But besides the amount, I would have appreciated to have the possibility to choose the amount myself and be asked in any case. Overall, it will remain a nice dining experience: great food, great view, kids were impressed and this is what matters the most.

Excellent Korean restaurant

By Chibika |

It was my first Korean experience and I enjoyed it very much. The meat is cooked in front of us on a grill inlaid in the table. Great choice of starter. I enjoyed my coktail with Yuzu and gin, not too strong Restaurant on the 39th floor, beautiful panoramic view of the skyscrapers

Great view, wonderful food

By liz g |

What a lovely place. The dessert was a work of art. The food was of the highest quality and the view is breathtaking.

Pretty Good

By Diane B |

My daughter and I went there for dinner. The interior decor is modern/ Asian. We had the price fix menu. The apps were great. Good flavor. We had the prime rib. Good Smokey flavor and tender. The sorbet was good . The chocolate muffin looking that accompanied it wad blah. Over all good.

Dinner w/ a great view!

By Little M |

Service is impeccable, only thing I didn't like was the background music... cheesy elevator jazz. This place is too chic for that, better music needed. Portions are smaller than usual but satisfying.

Wonderful dinner and views!

By Cfrulla |

We ate dinner here on a Friday night at 8:30pm. I doubt we would have been able to be seated without a reservation. The ambience is amazing and high class. There are great views throughout the restaurant but I would request a window table. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The fried calamari salad was so good. Also the flavor on the aged ribeye was hard to beat. All around this was a perfect dinner!

Very good Korean with top city views

By Sifizue |

We had a very nice and tasty dinner (table grill) and enjoyed the top views over the city from the 39th floor

Great BBQ, But Sides & Wine are Lacking

By Ono O |

This restaurant was on the 39th floor of a building in mid-town and was very elegant. The space had very large windows and tall ceilings and had an open feel, with a smallish sized bar and a larger size dining room. The service was very good and we ordered a mixed combination barbecue plate that had four different types of meat that was of very good quality and taste. The waiter did the cooking for us on the tabletop grill - he would put the meat on the grill, go away and do something, come back and turn it, and then serve it to us on our plates when it was done. Nothing was overcooked. There were only a few side dishes served, including a kimchi, a vinegar dressed green salad, some roasted potatoes, pickled Dicon and pickled cucumbers, this is where the restaurant was not quite as good as other Korean barbecues that we have dined at. We were Not offered a refill on any of our side dishes, and when we finish each one, the empty dish was removed rather than asking if we wanted it refilled, like other Korean barbecue restaurants. The wines by the glass were served too warm, as if it was sitting on the counter and not stored properly. All in all it was a good meal but not a stand out - just average.

We won’t hurry back

By Arandbee |

The restaurant is on the 39th floor and the views are impressive.....if you can get a table anywhere near a window. We thought we had booked one but were seated on a table well away from the window. The guy at the front desk seated us and was not that welcoming and less so when we said we thought we had booked a window table. We booked a BBQ table as that had been recommended to us. We had the 2 person combo - duck, pork, chicken and prawn. The chicken was tender but the duck was not. It was served with sticky rice (cold), potatoes (odd), salald and lots of pickled side dishes such as cabbage and radishes. Not that great a combination to be honest. The waiters were efficient but it did seem a bit impersonal and that they were just serving up “by numbers”without a lot of warmth or attention. We didn’t stay for dessert. It was OK but not sure I’d hurry back to be honest.

A must visit for great Korean barbecue

By Jessica L-M |

The entire experience was exceptional. This is the best Korean barbecue we have been to. The service was fantastic - we felt welcomed straight away and the team was attentive. We chose from the dining menu and had the Premium set - highly recommend this as the beef was sensational as were the side dishes. The desserts were also worth saving space for. I would recommend booking and if possible request a table next to the windows as the views are incredible.

Incredible Spot - tipical NYC

By Andre81_12 |

What a place! Great vibes, very elegant location with a stunning view. Food is exceptional plus all the waiters very kind and knowledgeable. Meat is incredible and same for the appetizers! Not to be missed this place!

Great experience, interesting menu, fab view

By UkGMan |

We weren't quite sure we were in the right place at first as the cab dropped us off on the other side of the building! We booked a table early deliberately so we could watch the sunset and also see the night skyline, and it was worth it. We were sat on the second "ring" which is slightly raised, so we could see above the tables next to the window. As we could look back into the bar and people watch, I think these are actually better tables. We shared the tasting menu, so a bit of everything. Or rather, a lot of everything! The bbq in front of us was very well done. Service was fine but a little cool - no chitchatting here! - but we weren't that bothered. Cocktails were good..so we tried several :-) Dessert was a little disappointing compared to everything else but certainly wasn't bad, and not very Korean at all. Price. Ahh. Not something you'd want to do every week. Or rather, you might, your bank might not. By far the most expensive dinner I've ever had in NY, though, to be fair, one of the most memorable too.

What a fabulous place to dine in NYC!! The food, service and atmosphere were to notch! The bibimbap was tasty and the calamari salad was great. Good wine list as well!

Wonderful Korean BBQ and Desserts!

By Itsonthelist445 |

We had several appetizers including the Japchae, all were excellent. Kalbi and Bulgoki were excellent. Just a tip - they will cook for you on your table top bbq - every time I reached for the tongs, someone came over to take it out of my hands :-). So if you really want to cook your own bbq, you may want to go elsewhere in Koreatown. Views were incredible at sunset. Also surprisingly the desserts were fantastic. We ordered the lava cake, the snickers and the matcha and they were all excellent.

Its not worth it!

By Johan W |

We had been looking forward to the tasting menu - but, once ready at the restaurant, it fell flat. The first two dishes were nicely presented but tasted nothing. The bbq was good and the only saving grace during the dinner. The dessert was so simple in both taste and presentation that a child could have made it. Was it worth paying about 550 USD for this for two people. Absolutely not! It needs redoing and doing right.

Amazing experience!

By vilm393 |

First time trying Korean BBQ at Gaonnuri: will definitely choose it again! We were overwhelmed by the tastyness and quality of the meat, delicious sides, wonderful service and of course the views. We truly recommend visiting and making a reservation. Thank you Gaonnuri for making our night really special!

Great Family Dinner

By Nathan H |

We had a late night reservation with our kids during Christmas break. The entire experience was really cool. The elevator ride up, the view, and then the dining experience…we’ll worth it. The fried rice was phenomenal and I loved the beef cooked at the table. Very unique experience and can’t recommend enough.

Korean cuisine with beautiful views.

By Javier S |

Korean restaurant in a tower on 32nd Street with splendid views, luxury and good food. 39th floor I had never been to a Korean restaurant and we asked our friends to choose them. Everything to Nibble and Share To start, octopus with quite spicy sauce (I sneezed a couple of times) and some meat Gyozas. Then a salmon, a sea bass and the Estrella dish grilled with a gas stove, beef and beef. Filleted by the waiter and each one to his point. We didn't have dessert, no wine, just water. The site is worth it. Second

Stunning view & great food!

By Jean C. Taveras |

My friends and I enjoyed this restaurant a lot. Their cocktails are excellent, the food is delicious, the view is breathtaking and the service was amazing as well. The fried rice with lobster was my favorite, along with the sweet and spicy chicken as appetizer.

Perfect dinner location

By Sarah W |

This restaurant works equally well for friends, family or business. Indeed we saw a proposal at the table in front of us the evening we were there. Great ambience and fantastic views especially if the Empire State from the bar area. Loved the concept of food being cooked at the table too.

Go To the Top 39th Floor have a Drink at the bar and then go eat elsewhere

By brownie6244 |

The view is incredible. Of course all the tables near the windows are booked months in advance which is to be expected. Our waiter was very attentive, the view from the booths in the middle good - the food average. It bar has stools when you first enter which has no view but the lounge area has a amazing view. The prices were average for New York City. While we are not Korean food experts, my husband said he has had much better Kimchi from Farmer Markets. There was complimentary Kimchi, mushrooms, seaweed and squid . We had the Gaadoo Muk dumpling soup, and the Hot Stone Bowl which was not very heavy on the beef. While I cannot fault the food the restaurants draw is definitely the view.

Perfect view with great food

By Annelie |

If the view isn’t enough for you to go here. it’s good to know the food is also worth it. Try the meats - grilled at your table.

To recommend

Superb view, attentive staff, careful details and on the plate it's great 3 reasons to spend a great evening in this restaurant

Not Pleased

By Patty B |

We were really looking forward to an exceptional time given most of the reviews we read. We were seated at a window table with the grill in the center (watch your knees while trying to pull you chair forward), there is a solid piece of metal underneath the table. The view was great but that was pretty much the best part of our experience. We were totally unfamilar with most of the menu and depended upon our server to help us. She did make a few recomendations, but I wish she had been more forthcoming with what was included with the meal. We started with the dumplings and they were pretty good. They had two types of steak, one was listed as sliced steak. Since we were sharing it we thought that was the best way to go. It should have said shaved steak. Think being at the deli when the person shaves pieces roast beef etc. There it was in a big clump on the grill. A cup of soup was served as well as a salad. No mention of this from our server, and no addtional dishes to put it on. The person who brought the shaved meat came back to turn it a couple of times. No enthusiams whatsoever. It was just a pile of brown meat. Too thin to be grilled and I do not know where the BBQ was suppose to fit into this dish. Looked like the beef Arby's or Jersey Mikes puts on their sandwiches, only 3 times as much money. There were a couple of small dishes of things we had no idea what they were and no description offered. The worst of it was the lobster and shrimp rice, oh a small dish of white rice was also brought that we were not expecting. The server (Liza) never mentioned it like the salad and soup we had no idea we were getting. This $32.00 rice was so fishy tasting !!! Water glasses were left unfilled and mine was empty when we decided we had enough of this place. We skipped dessert and left. I think someone mentioned maybe going for a drink to see the view and dining somewhere else. That is an excellent idea !! Although my husband's scotch was $18.00 for a 2 oz pour and they do not make chocolate martini's.

Good food great location and view

By Asianskidemon |

We went here as a couple for dinner and it did not disappoint. We ordered the scallion pancake for appetizer it was tasty although just a tad bit too greasy for my taste but my husband enjoyed it. Aside from that everything else was fantastic! We had the bibimbop and bbq, all the sides were great my husband especially loved the salad dressing on the side salad, I loved the kimchi and cucumber side. We enjoyed the soju and kloud beer ( recommended by our waiter). The views are fantastic and make it well worth the higher price for this Korean bbq restaurant. Overall good solid bbq with fantastic views, will definitely return again.

Great Korean BBQ on 39th floor

Family night out. Great views from the restaurant - the sun was just starting to set when we got to our table. Service was pretty quick and friendly, food good - the BBQ at the table was great fun. Well worth a visit.

Great food and setting - weird service

By LocalAlCT |

Had a fun but somewhat annoying experience at Gaonnuri last night. We arrived at 7:00 and were super psyched to check out this sleek and stylish Korean BBQ place. There were about 7 of us who do not get a chance to hang that often, but like cool and different settings. The place is so well designed and we were greeted professionally, politely and quickly. Attire is “smartly dressed or business casual” which gives you a hint at the vibe. Amazing view on the 39th floor. There were about 5-10 tables that were seated when we arrived so not very busy. We knew there was something up when we sat down and the young waiter quickly snapped at us not to touch the disc that controls the heat on the BBQ. We actually were not touching but just noticing it was there. There are different ways to alert a patron. Either way we just laughed it off. He happened to be very helpful when we ordered aps and pushed us in some other ways based on his experience. Unfortunately it seems as if he was never trained properly or that the GM was not there that night. He did not pick up our hints to give us some time before ordering, yet did not check on waters or if our party needed drinks throughout. So it is a little hard to explain, but we wanted some down time to hang, but not be at dinner “forever”. To get the check took a good 10 minutes to find him in a basically empty restaurant. The way he spoke was very strange. We asked if he was a voice over and he said “yes”. It was as if he did not want to be there or just did not loosen up at all. As a waiter you want to have some repartee without being annoying. Unfortunately he was annoying and had no repartee. So on to the good stuff. The food was all terrific. Nothing I would have changed. The glasses that the drinks were served in were really cool and the wine and bar were top notch. I would definitely go back and hope for a better waiter. Definitely worth checking out.

Excellent view and food

By Agustin Nieto |

A fantastic view of the city. The food is excellent, and it's a plus that it is cooked in front of you. The prime ribeye is terrific.

Amazing experience

By S B |

We came there just before sunset and could enjoy a nice dinner with the perfekt view. Good athmosphere in the restaurant, professionell staff and really good and tasty food. Worth a visit.

Great view, hovering servers, full of itself

By WashCaps |

This is not my kind of restaurant. At all and ever. I don't like establishments that pay more attention to aesthetics than the quality and quantity of the food. I found the portions to me mediocre and the food way too spicy to enjoy even though we asked for it not to be spicy. I grew up in NYC and I wish I could remind myself to stick to a slice of pizza when it's dinner time. This meal cost over $200 per couple was ridiculous and certainly not worth it. I'm still kicking myself. And the birthday boy gets GREY (pewter) colored sesame ice cream? Are you trying to impress and please the guests or are you on an episode of Top Chef.

Birthday Dinner

By MLP279 |

I took my husband for a birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is located on the 39th floor, so the view is spectacular. I requested a window side table and grilling table, they delivered. We had a great time, great drinks and amazing food!

Very good Korean restaurant

By jpvd582 |

On the 39th floor of the building with a breathtaking view of New York you will enjoy an excellent Korean BBQ. A menu allows you to discover the range of culinary offerings. The wine list is very well equipped (special mention with a superb Château Simone) The service is very attentive In short, faultless for a very nice evening.

By BlackMambaNumberFive |

I went back for an indulgent Korean BBQ minus the guilt. This experience is worth it. The steak was so tasty, plenty of condiments. The server was helpful with our selections. I love that it’s lively, bright, and still enough to talk.

Best view of the city

35 floors up in Korea town - what a view. Food is great, menu has something for everyone and nice selection of wines. Tell them you’re celebrating a birthday and get a free cute dessert!

Simply amazing!

By Christopher M |

This was my favourite restaurant during my visit to NYC, the food is fantastic as is the view and staff. This has to be an absolute must for anyone coming to the city.

Tourist trap & bad service

By Los Chilinques |

Terrible customer service during a birthday booking with zero attention to detail. This place feels like an absolute tourist trap with below average food, no specifically outstanding drinks and atmosphere feels very much like a tourist trap; including the price you pay for this. Will not return and can only recommend people to avoid it and find a much nicer place for Korean food (thankfully there are enough in the city).

Great location and view

By Mikael T |

We where a group of 12 people and we where nicely welcomed. We got our own separate room and thats probably best if you are som many to visit. We had pre-booked menu and the appetizers were great. The maincours as well. At the time for dessert I have had so much to eat that I skipped dessert. A bit hard to understand the waiter since he talked very fast but he really gave us great attention.

Excellent Korean Restaurant with magnificent views

By cbmFrance |

This is definitely a restaurant to try if you enjoy Korean food. The plates we ordered were excellent and the view over Midtown Manhattan is breathtaking. The restaurant is spacious and the food is excellent. The lunch Bansang is reasonably priced for NYC at around $24-$26, delicious, healthy and filling!

Pricy, but excellent food and superb view

By njronneberg |

Am not usually impressed by "cook it yourself" restaurants, but Gaongurri is special. It is located in the penthouse of a Herald Square high-rise. Phenomenal views of Manhattan. A very stylish place, not the usual hipster-heavy Korean restaurant. Various high quality meats and seafood are available for cooking at the table, with impressive sauces, kimchee, lettuces and condiments as side dishes. This is a great place to socialize with friends.

Great views and ok food

By Tattler |

We went with a group of 5 on a Monday night. Very good views of Manhattan. The starters were nice but we ordered the seafood bibimbap (ordinary) our friend order the beef bibimbap and enjoyed it. Another ordered Black Cod GUI and loved it. Desserts were excellent. My son ordered the snickers dessert and was so impressed. Overall nice night.

Birthday Surprise!

By FoodCriticNorwich_CT |

If you are ever in NYC you need to make Gaonnuri an absolute must go to place! This upscale Korean tabletop BBQ with views of NY from the 39th floor will knock your socks off! Prime beef short ribs, Ribeye. Pork Belly, Kimchi, Shrimp & Lobster Kimchi fried rice with egg were not just good... fantastic! And cooked right at your table! Plus dessert with a handwritten " Happy Birthday " in chocolate sauce! We also tried a bottle of Chumchurum! Add some wine and we're done! Let's not forget the service, couldn't have been better! So if you're looking for that special dinning experience, this is it! Don't forget to ask for a table near the window when making your reservation! FIVE STARS

Lovely food with amazing views

By DCAJE |

This restaurant has amazing views of Manhattan. We had the mixed barbecue and the food was delicious. I am not familiar with Korean food and this was a lovely experience. The staff cooked the food on a grill in the middle of the table. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star is that I think it was very expensive- however the pound to dollar is rubbish at the moment and so this plays a part....

Great food, great views, but...

By Laura S |

My husband and I had an hour and 45 minutes for our meal because we had tickets to a performance. When considering what to order, we asked the waiter how long the tasting menu would take and he said about 45 minutes. I confirmed “45 minutes for the whole thing??” Yes. Okay, so thinking that even if it were twice that we’d be okay, we ordered the tasting menu at $135 pp. Unfortunately the time estimate was way off and we had to rush. We missed dessert entirely and ran to our show. It was stressful, and for that price we should not have had to experience that.

Special

By Suzanne A |

The view and ambiance here are second to none and were the standouts of the night. It’s a beautiful space. Four of us split the two combo bbq entrees for two and were all happy with our meals. We were given the option to do the bbq-ing ourselves in the pit in the middle of the table, or have staff do the grilling and we selected the latter. We also shared two appetizers which were both very good, but neither were excellent. Overall this was a very memorable night with good friends, but unfortunately it was not the taste of the food that made it so. The staff were professional, but there were a few dings in service related to lapses in timing and forgetting drinks.

Paying High Price For the 39th Floor.

By suresh_chawla |

Gaonnuri, a Korean Barbecue Restaurant is located in a plush high rise on the 39th Floor. A stunning view but not the real Korean barbecue experience that you will get at the street level restaurants down the road at almost half the price. Yes, ambience is an important component of dining experience but not at the expense of quality of food and let the waiter barbecue for you. The real fun is when you barbecue yourself and that experience you will get at the street level restaurants. The Gaonnuri condiments are Americanized and not real Korean condiments. You can see the audience around and it is obvious that the clientele is mainly non Korean. Yes, it was good to visit Gaonnuri for one time experience but for the real experience, I will stay at the street level. Cheers Suresh Chawla Toronto, Canada.

Crazy price and very bad service

By jbrunoson |

The first thing they told us when we came in was that we could only stay for a maximum of 2 hours because then the table would be used by other guests. The whole serving was just to get rid of us as quickly as possible. We didn't have time to finish the starter before the main course arrived. At the same time as we received the coffee after the meal, they brought the bill and asked us to pay. The venue is very noisy and not at all what we thought. The food tasted okay but no more. Would never recommend anyone to visit this place.

nice place to celebrate a birthday

The restaurant is located at 39 floor at 32nd street in Manhattan. It has a nice view. Food is pretty good although it is a little pricey. Service is good. I had a good evening with couple friends. The desert was better in my opinion.

Nice View

By Rebecca L |

We came here for lunch on a Friday. Although we weren't seated right by a window, we did have a nice view of the city. It was a bit more upscale than what we were looking for. We had been touring the city so we felt a bit out of place with jeans, cameras, etc. compared to all the business people eating lunch. The service was good and the food unique. It didn't taste like Korean BBQ that I've had before. I think the dish I had was the Seoul Bulgogi, which was more of a noodle soup. While not bad, it was bland. Others in our group had the Hot Stone Soup and the Marinated Galbi. The entrees came with soup (beef and seaweed or Miso soup), steamed rice and several side dishes like Kimchi.

Totally Fabulous- what a find!

By Ros60 |

My family and I came here as we fancied trying something new and unusual while we were in New York. It was fantastic! Don’t be put off my the outside- it is a bit odd as you go through almost an office block to get there but oh my goodness when you get up to the 38th floor it’s worth it. The views were incredible. We asked for a BBQ table which was great fun. The food was fantastic and service excellent. If you’ve got a free night you should definitely go!

Fabulous food with an even better view of the city

By AmyGreen72 |

This was our second time dinning here and we weren’t disappointed. The food is so good, the staff professional and attentive and the view is as spectacular as the food. We get the fried mushrooms with a vinegar sauce poured over them and they are to die for. I get the hot stone bowl and my husband gets the buigogi (sorry for the spelling) and we love how they grill the meat in front of you. Reminds us of our dining in Korea. We will be back!

75% Korean BBQ, 25% Top notch and 100% pretentious...

By Eddel |

I faced some letdowns in this restaurant that drive me not to love it and hesitate on whether to recommend it or not. Firstly, not sure when during the reservation I went with booking the 5-course menu, and when we arrived, the hostess showed not even the slightest flexibility about going for an a la carte option, neither let us know if there was an a la carte option, nor explained how come we had booked a coursed menu. Maybe Sundays are coursed menu only, maybe Gaonnuri doesn’t have a menu per se, maybe I clicked on the coursed menu option while booking and the restaurant had everything planned and thus no chance for an a la carte option. I’ll never know because the hostess said absolutely nothing and she didn’t even seem to care. Secondly, before being shown to our table, we were warned that the place was fully booked and we couldn’t overextend our stay -we were allowed a 2-hour dinner; something odd considering we were having a coursed menu and the restaurant was somehow responsible for setting the pace. Ultimately, such kind of warnings make you feel more like the restaurant is looking forward to seeing you leave rather than to welcoming you. Not really fan of those kinds of places. And thirdly, although we went for the Wagyu beef (you’re not even served half a steak), the place never stopped feeling like 75% Korean BBQ and 25% top notch restaurant -if not less; and with that in consideration, I feel Gaonnuri is a bit overpriced. On the bright side, the view from Gaonnuri’s 39th floor was superb, even with gray and cloudy skies, dinning with the city at our feet accounted for a terrific experience. But, considering this is NYC we’re talking about, I bet there must be countless restaurants with similar if not better views.

Just Sumptuous

By TeePee |

Booked Gaonnuri for our family of 6 for my wife’s special birthday after reading a Time Out review. Visiting from the UK we weren’t sure what to expect…but certainly weren’t disappointed! ALL the appetisers were delicious…beef dumplings, pork belly, mushrooms, seafood pancakes…portion sizes are much bigger than the UK, so really good to share. We chose a variety of mains, two of us shared a set barbecue platter which is cooked at the table…every morsel had the “mmmm” factor. Others had the Kimchi Lobster fried rice which again was a large portion of deliciousness…the portion size didn’t deter both recipients from clearing their plates. Others had different bibimbaps, which I am assured was equally as good. Dining in the shadow of the Empire State Building with excellent service and a well stocked bar, what else could you want. So in summary if you’re looking for something a little bit different with delicious food and superb service look no further than Gaonnuri.

Fantastic experience

Booked a table for myself and my husband for his birthday. It’s quite pricey, but we feel it was worth every Penny. Food: quite pricey, but you can get the set menus which work out cheaper. We had an appetiser each, the bbq combo menu and a desert. The food came to the table and the wait-staff cooked it there and then. We had duck, pork belly, chicken and shrimp. I can’t comment on the shrimp as I didn’t eat it, but everything else was incredible. It was so fresh and cooked to perfection. There were various other bits that went with the meat, such as salad, potato salad, sliced cabbage etc. All really tasty, marinated in a delicious sauce. Dessert was very rich but tasted amazing. I had a soufflé with chocolate sauce and ice cream. Again, it was delicious. I really didn’t need a dessert after the meal, but it looked so good. Service: excellent. The wait staff are so attentive, and they cook the food at the table. But they move around to the other tables they are waiting on. So they pop over every now and then to ensure the food is cooking properly and to serve. But it’s not intrusive. I was a bit worried that they would stay at the table the whole time, but we were still able to enjoy a private meal. The staff were friendly, but not overly so (which I’ve found in some American restaurants and can be overwhelming). I can’t fault them. Atmosphere: you’re 39 floors up, which means you have a fantastic view of the Manhattan skyline, but as you’re actually in Manhattan, you’re part of it too. This really added to the experience of the meal. I booked for 7pm, so it was still light when we got there but as our meal progressed it got darker and we got that famous nighttime skyline. All in all, we spent $220 on 5 drinks, two starters, the bbq for two and two desserts. Which isn’t cheap. But I would definitely go back!

Special occasion

First time visit. This was a birthday dinner and our hosts chose a great bbq restaurant. The cocktails being offered were excellent. The appetizers, especially the cold calamari salad and the fried eggplant were fine. Recommend the prime ribeye, pork belly. Service is very attentive.

Worth the 2 year wait

By alan g |

We went here for a special occasion that we had been planning for sometime. We chose here for its location and views. The menu on the nite was a set menu for 75 €. We were a young family of four. The food menu was very good and catered for all our pallets. The entres were exceptional. For mains we probably would have ate more however it was very tasty. Beer and wine menu was OK. The staff were friendly and accomadating. Even managed a little surprise for my wife on her bday. Well done and thanks.

Worth navigating the construction everywhere to eat on this 39th floor Korean jem

By Waynegourmet |

Good Korean food (a bit dumbed down for American tastes) with great views of New York. We took the train from Wilmington and walked 3 blocks in the middle of "Korea town" where every other Korean restaurant looked like a "quick and dirty" lunch place

The most amazing view!

I do always try to get a table at this lovely restaurant when I’m in NYC! We hade a lovely dinner with a beautiful view! Ask for a table near the window to get the best view of the city!

A restaurant with the wow factor

By Heather Alexandra |

Exceptional food and service. This is a unique culinary experience with stunning views of the city. The Omakase menu is well worth the expense. The meat and accompaniments were outstanding and the table side chefs were very informative and helpful.

excellent but overly expensive

By BuonCiboEsigo |

Beautiful venue with spectacular views. Attentive and courteous service. Excellent, really good, the meat. The wine list is important but difficult to find a bottle for less than $100, Bill of over 600 for two....only discordant note.

Meh...

I went to Gaonnuri as a homecoming of sorts with friends - first time back in NY in 18 months and we were all very excited to try the “newest hot restaurant” in Korea Town. We had been regulars at the cheap and cheerfuls along 32nd St when I lived there and always had amazing food so admittedly our expectations were high. I have to (sadly) say we were disappointed. The views are no doubt spectacular and in fairness, the scallion pancake and bibimbap were great (I do recommend them if you go) but the BBQ itself was pretty average (and limited) compared to the plentiful tasty fare at much cheaper restaurants just down the street. I guess it really depends what kind of a night you’re after - if you’re after the views and happy to splash the cash around then you’ll have a perfectly good evening - it’s not “bad” by any stretch - but if you’re really after a Korea Town experience with amazing (and cheap) food then wander down 32nd St!

Korean food with excellent views of Manhattan

By Eleanor S |

Excellent deal for NY Restaurant week, where lunch is $26, a real deal! As appetizers we had calamari salad and noodles with shrimp , entrees were bulgogi and a pork dish that was absolutely excellent....typoicla of Korean restaurants they brought little dishes with kimchi, steamed greens, zucchini tempura style and dried fish. There are windows all around, with views to the East, North and West of Manhattan, really breathtaking! Great for locals and tourists.

Good food complemented by elegant surroundings

We enjoyed the food & cocktails, the great service and the amazing views of New York city. There are other non-meat options on the menu and the serving sizes are quite generous.

Upscale Korean BBQ

By Jan L |

Great views, especially very close up of the Empire State building. Our waiter was efficient, but not particularly warm and friendly. It was weird that he never smiled. But he make some menu recommendations that we appreciated. It was nice to have the wait staff cook the meat for us so that we never had to guess if it was cooked properly or not. It was always done to perfection. We got 2 different set menus for Korean BBQ so we got to try many different types of meat. We liked everything, but especially the short ribs, shrimp and duck. There were lots of side dishes, including kim chi, squash, pickled cucumbers, etc. We liked that we could get white rice and also try the other wild black rice. We really liked that the ventilation system was very strong so we didn't end up smelling like meat when we left. If you do Korean BBQ at some cheaper places, your clothes and hair smell like it afterwards, but this was not the case here at all. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and especially the view.

Great birthday dinner for my husband!

Treated my husband to Dinner for his 52nd. We had a lovely BBQ table by the window with an amazing view. We enjoyed the sunset with great cocktails and appetizers. Then enjoyed bulgogi on the pit. DELICIOUS!!!!! The best upscale Korean restaurant in NYC!!

Excellent

An excellent restaurant! We came here for our first night at New York, it was the first time I had ever been in this wonderful city and with the amazing city view of Gaonnuri I immediately fell in love with the City! Food is very spicy and really delicious. Wonderful experience, I hope to return soon!

Hidden gem of NYC

By NandTDestin |

This was our favorite dining experience during our entire week stay in NYC. The views were absolutely stunning. The food was fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. The portions are large and we hard a hard time finishing all of our food. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and helpful when ordering. Reserve your table early and get a window seat with a view. I wish we could’ve gotten reservations for an additional night but they were completely booked. Rightfully so. This place was amazing. The access is on w 32 street and is kind of hidden so give yourself plenty of time to find it. It’s defiantly the hidden gem of all of NYC.

Delicious Korean Food with nice View

By sahin T |

We had been there with my friends wife and us and each food we ordered was delicious. The view at the night was also nice. However, there was a rush in the waiters that felt us they want to say "quick eat and go". They do not let you to enjoy your wine and rest a little in between the meals. I think they need little trainings since its NYC and tourists want to spend more time.

Excellent food yet unfriendly staff

By BC65670 |

Food was great and view was awesome totally recommend for those two reasons. The food servers, not so much - unfriendly. I wanted to tip based on the unfriendly service they provided, yet they came with the 18% and greater option for gratuity added to the bill... Piece of advise, doesn't hurt to smile sometimes...

This is an upscale, expensive

By Godwell C |

This is an upscale, expensive Korean restaurant located on the 39th floor with nice views of the city. Though everything is delicious, dinner entrees portions are small, leaving you hungry. Creative take on desserts.

Exquisite Korean BBQ

By Chris K |

After spending a day touring Brooklyn's finest breweries, we hauled it to Manhattan (love the NYC metro!) and made it just in time for our 7:30 reservation. Now I live in Windsor, Ontario, so when I found out that this restaurant was on the penthouse (39th floor) of this Skyscraper, my first thought was shoot we are so underdressed for this... Now I won't go on for too long about nice views and being on top of Manhattan, but the ambiance and sharpness of this restaurant immediately struck me as soon as I walked out of the elevator, greeted by the staff and seated. We asked for a window seat but were told that those are booked months in advance. We were fine with it as we were seated at a nice big table for all 4 of us and we still had a great view of the city. I have maybe only been to Korean BBQ once or twice in my life and I honestly had no idea how it worked, thankfully some of my friends were experts and the wait staff was more than happy to answer any questions. In the interest of full disclosure, it was restaurant week in NYC so we opted for the prix fixed menu but man this place did not disappoint with what was offered on the prix fix menu. We shared four appetizers and each ordered one of the seafood, chicken, beef and pork dishes. The meal came with rice, kimchee, potatoes and some pickled cucumber (I think...). The best part was that the waiters also acted as cooks and basically cook the meat for you. I know we were starvin' marvin' from our day of brew touring, but we devoured every last bit of food that was put in front of us. Service was above average, food was incredible and the location topped it all off that made this one of the most enjoyable meal experiences I have had in a while and we had some other pretty good ones while in NYC...

Cooking not up to it

By r0main31170 |

Pros: exceptional view, delicious meat, pleasant service. The negatives: everything else was very bland. Seasoning problem. Especially the entrance and the bibimbap. Real pity because the place is worth the detour but not the cuisine and even less the price! Even if it is New York count between 400 and 500€ for two. It is overpriced for the service. I don't recommend it.

Great. Just treat yourself.

By Johannes |

Great experience. We had reserved a window seat (in good time) with the obligatory tasting course menu. The ambience, the excellent food, which is really good even for inexperienced "Korean eaters", and the great service make the package complete. The friendly waiters grill it at the table. You are served from front to back. Tens and Tan prepared a perfect evening for us. There were three of us, parents and a 13-year-old daughter, who was also very impressed. It was expensive, but we had planned for that. For us, it was worth the experience at the end of New York. Clearly recommended. Note: The Gaonnuri (39th floor in the Nomad Tower) has a separate entrance from 32nd Street, coming directly from Broadway.

Best Korean BBQ in New York

By Tomberra |

We have been here three times and all Bulgogi was good. The Shrimps - good quality but tasteless. We also had Beef Tartar with Sesame and Sweet Garlic Sauce. Good. Small bibimbap with beef. Good. We had Hite beer to all this. We will if a chance be back.

Fantastic BBQ

By ChrisDeclares |

My partner and I visited for our 3 year anniversary. This was a great location for couples, with a truly spectacular view of the NY skyline. We had the fixed price menu (3 courses), we really really enjoyed the Galbi marinated beef, it melted in the mouth. Would definitely visit again

Fantastic location and atmosphere

By Tyler W |

We stumbled upon this place while trying to find where to eat around Madison Square Garden. It's just a few blocks away and right next to the Empire State Building! It's several floors up and presents a fantastic view of the city. The atmosphere was amazing for conversation. Everything I ordered was superb but the Tuna Tartar and the pancakes really stood out. This place is worth a try!

Lovely views and food but no so lovely waiter!

By Bewgal |

Went here for my 45th birthday whilst visiting from the UK. We were a group of 6 including 2 teenagers. Bar, restaurant and view was very nice but was let down by our rude waiter, it was a chore to get him to explain the menu and it seemed like he had no patience for our questions. One of our party was also gluten free so we had extra questions. I was surprised by his rudeness as usually service in the US is so good. All other staff we encountered apart from our waiter were lovely. The servers who also cooked the food were much more helpful and polite. I didn’t let him spoil my birthday dinner though and made sure I was not intimated or rushed by him. I would recommend but would advise to be prepared for service not be up to usual standards. I had read previous reviews with similar problems but was hoping I’d be lucky and not get the rude waiter!

Still very enjoyable

By Tomberra |

We visited the G for dinner and shared a Tuna Tatar as a starter and then continued with one Bulgogi each. To this Asahi Beer. The condiments were sorry to say few. The tasty soybean paste, served in a small cup was refilled a couple of times. We had ordered a window table where we enjoyed the evening view at 39th floor. We will come back. Not cheap but good.

Great views from the 39th floor

By Jeremy W |

Good Korean food, similar to the many Ktown places in the same street but this place has incredible views. Service was excellent and the large dining room was not busy. Lunch $55 for two was good value. Dolsot bibimap was delicious.

Wonderful Korean Dining & Wonderful NYC Skyline Views

By Les Martin |

For the traveller to NYC that desires a wonderful and unique Korean cuisine dining experience this venue will be sure to please. The restaurant is clean and immaculate, combined with a staff that pays close attention to each diner's requests and food presentations are simply excellent. The views, of the NYC Skyline and the sunsets over the Hudson River while dining, are not to be missed. The venue is high, 38 or 39 stories but the elevator ride up adds to the mystic of your dinner, coupled with staff genuinely happy to see you, serve you and ensure you have a great meal. Every visit I have seen the same excellent consistently great tadting dishes and a restaurant that is extra clean. It is a can not miss place to eat in the winter months for having spicy Korean dishes sure to please and help keep the flu and cold bugs at bay, with hot meals that are pleasing to the eyes and a joy to consume. Do not miss this venue..... 5 Stars !

Excellent food and view

By RDCononver |

I think we had the best table in the house on the corner looking down on broadway and 32nd. We started with drinks at the bar, sadly out of several items and tap beer, that said many options and the bartenders were great. Our server for dinner was great, given we were a group of eight we ordered barbecue for the table with the waitress making the choices for us. My favorite appetizer was the calamari, spicy and delicious. For the main we had bbg duck, pork, four types of beef, chicken, and shrimp. The marinaded shredded beef was my favorite. We also had 2 types of cod along with a selection of sides including a spicy pickled radish. Great view, great service, wonderful food. Highly recommend.

Wonderful korean BBQ! Highly recommended!

By Aviv S |

Wonderful food, wonderful view and fine service! We took the premium offer with two different steaks for main course and another two starts (the chicken & tuna tartar) which can out to be lots of food for two people! The view from the 39th floor alongside the friendly service are a big component in this kind of meal. Highly recommended, make sure to book your seats in advance!

place has seen better days

By rob d |

dont know where to start - unclean entrance, inattentive personal at the entry, food mediocre, wine too warm and waiters that seem to be busy at too many tables at the same time. also, our waiter never got to try what she was serving. management should look into that urgently. all in all - way way overpriced for what we got. if you look at the details of the place like the tables and chair legs it’s obvious: this place has seen better days.

Lunch

By Noel L |

Been there several times with family and my tennis friends on another time. I liked their food, service and most of all the fantastic Manhattan skyline view. Ordered the Cod Fish, Short Ribs and loved it, good size portions too. Only the banchans are fewer compared to other Korean restaurants. But I always love going there.

We were disappointed

By Tomberra |

We have been here many times and enjoyed Bulgogi - 5 star The same this time but the portion of the food had much decreased compared to earlier visits. - 2 star. However, it still tastes good. We had reserved a good table but were placed away from the windows. We asked why and were informed that you had to book many weeks in advance to have a chance for the window tables. Believe it or not? When we asked for the bill, we were astonished that they had added 20 % as a gratuity amount. That was without asking us!? NO STAR We talked to the manager why they had added the gratuity % without letting the customer make that decision and were informed that they had changed two weeks ago as it now was a law in NY that a minimum of 20 % shall be added to the bill. I informed the manager that I did not believe that statement. He also said that many restaurants in NY followed the "new law". I again I told him I disagreed with his second statement. NO STAR This type of so-called policy or new law and if you are presented with a bill where gratuity is based upon price + tax is a disgrace. It is up to the customer discretion to choose the %, if any. Then on the bill presented there was also a suggestion to further add 2,3 ,5 or 7 % further gratuity!!!! What is this?!!!! I believe we will not be back based upon above issues and as the so-called manager could not present the new policy or law in a written form or a website.

Maintaining our history!

By NoraExplorer |

We came back to our favorite and memorable place that brought us together. It was the best memory ever. This place has been the place we would keep coming back. Not only because we had our reception here but also because it has been our favorite place since the opening of the restaurant. We enjoy the food and the views as well. Since my last review, we continue coming back to remind ourselves about how we have made history at this wonderful place. If you happen to come here, don’t forget to try the Korean barbecue because the experience and the enjoyment of having it cooked in front of you is the best while enjoying the camaraderie. Also don’t forget to order various appetizers prior your barbecue because those appetizers are too delicious to say no to. Must try! We like spicy octopus and scallion pancakes. The seafood salad is also great. This time we dined with our friends. They really enjoyed this place. The service has always been exceptional! Truly professional. We’re so thankful to the owner, the manager, chef and the staff members at this magnificent place. Always very happy being here! Keep up the great work!
