-Food: The food was very good. I had Homemade Gnocchi in Pesto Genovese sauce. I also tasted the Homemade Gnocchi in Norma sauce. Both were very good! -Service: Servers were friendly, food & wine came out at a regular speed. -Atmosphere: Trendy & homey, with a touch of romance. Great place for a friend group or a date night! -Pricing: Very reasonable for a pretty big portion of homemade gnocchi. Ultimately I rated Gnoccheria by Luzzo's "very good" because it was a good experience, but also there was nothing about it that made me think, "wow, this is absolutely excellent and I will definitely be back." Everything was very good, but nothing especially spectacular.

My teen niece was visiting from California and this stop was on her to do list (from instagram post). This little foodie was beyond pleased as I was. First the variety of gnocci is out of this world. You can taste the freshness and aromas will satisfy any palette. They have an impressive wine list from Italy that will delight any wine taster. The experience was superb thanks to the excellent customer service!! I am certain to return and its on my favorite list. Its a gem to be discovered by both locals and tourists.

Food was good, ambience cozy service good. However, they add “ automatic gratuity” of 20%. I believe gratuity must not be forced on to you and if you will have “automatic” it should be 15%. Service received was for 15% Max 18% but not 20%.

I visited here with my boyfriend and we had the trio dish of gnocchi to share! It was AMAZING! Best gnocchi I have ever had :) The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a great vibe, we ended up sitting in there for hours! Very reasonable price for nyc too! I would definitely recommend & cant wait to go back already!

I love gnocchi. It’s my favorite Italian specialty. Now, if you’re like me, you might be wondering how wonderful a restaurant specialized in gnocchi might be. Deborah Kerr said once that “The Empire State Building is the closest thing to heaven in this city.” Well, too bad for her Gnoccheria didn’t exist while she was still alive. Because I’m positive she would have changed her statement. Gnoccheria by Luzzo’s is the entrance to an Italian food paradise in New York City. Once you are there, their staff is very friendly, professional, and great hosts - making you feel comfortable and delighted by a remarkable food experience. Try the Gnocchi Tricolore. This place is the gnocchi heaven, indeed. Bravissimo!

Small little place so it can get crowded and a little loud, but it is so worth it! We hand a few apps all were very good although a bit small. But the gnocchi! Sooooo good! Just wish my plate was a little bigger. Service was terrific. Can’t wait to go back to try the other sauces we didn’t the first time.

Right next to the Metropolitan Playhouse, it was the perfect convenient stop before a play. I must confess I did not have the gnocchi. I love it but can only eat about 3 before I'm full. I had the lasagna and it was fabulous. They have some interesting wines by the glass. The tartuffo for dessert was homemade. All around the place is a winner. Next time gnocchi!

This 'Italian' restaurant is a must go for people who like to eat previously frozen food or anything that is canned or pre-fabricated food. Canned oranges in an Arugola salad ..... and straight from the fridge: meatballs, eggplant with Parmigiano. Prosciutto out of a package. This has nothing to do with Italian food, simply embarassing!! Try 'Il Buco' or 'Il Buco Alimentari' for amazing Italian food!!

My daughter loves gnocchi and insisted we make reservations to try this restaurant. Lower East side, so not close to Times Square or Rockefeller Center, but that's OK, It's worth the cab ride. Subway not close to this restaurant. I had the stuffed Salmon Gnocchi, it was made with smoked salmon, so it was salty. I don't like salty foods, but that is what you get with smoked salmon. NOT the fault of the restaurant. If you like gnocchi you will love this place..There are one or 2 other items on the menu, plus appetizers, but it's all about the gnocchi. I personally never order gnocchi, but this was a treat.. Spinach mushroom or classic, with choice of sauces. Service was excellent. It is a small restaurant, so be sure to make reservations..

Booked well in advance and arrived at the bustling restaurant. Menu promised fresh products and homemade gnocchi. We first experienced an arrogant waitress. We asked her numerous questions about the appallingly described wine selection. She treated us like imbeciles unaware that we are from the top wine region in the world, with three people working at world renowned wineries, one wine exporter and another who had studied wine production at a tertiary level. Really disappointing. We ordered all different dishes. The tomato based sauces literally tasted like they were from a jar, the 4 cheese sauce had 2 cheeses tastable and the Parmesan (which was not given to us until quite a bit after we’d started eating) was floury and tasteless. No cracked pepper was offered and it didn’t seem like they knew what an Italian dining experience really is... my nonna would roll in her grave at the bland, over cooked gnocchi. I’m really disapointed. From the reviews I expected so much more...

We finally made our way to Gnoccheria after hearing about it by many people. We were impressed. The cute cozy Italian Restaurant serves only Gnocchi—stuffed, flavored and sauced, but only homemade gnocchi. We started with an appetizer of Prosciutto and burrata with a bottle of Pinot Grigio. My daughter and I got the tri gnocchi for two—it’s a big plate of gnocchi set like the flag of Italy 🇮🇹with pesto gnocchi, Alfredo gnocchi and gnocchi with tomato sauce. It was perfect topped with pinnoli on the pesto. My husband order The burrata gnocchi is gnocchi in a red sauce with capers and olives with a big burrata on the center of the plate.

The food is delicious-- the best eggplant parmigiana, and I'm an expert. Lovely decor, music and service. Andiamo!

I found this place on social media and since I love gnocchi, I decided to give it a try for dinner while visiting NYC with a friend this week. Although we enjoyed our meal and the waiters were really friendly, we were very disapointed with the treatment we received from the owner. After we had finished our meal and were ready to pay, he proceeded to tell us that we could not pay by card as their system was down. Although we completely understand that these things happen and are often beyond anyone's control, we were unimpressed with how rude the owner was toward us beacuse we did not have cash on hand. He did not show any understanding toward us and we ended up having to walk over a mile to draw cash. When we got back to the restaurant to pay, he treated us as though it was our fault that this had all happened and huffed and puffed under his breath and just had a bad attitude all round. This is really disappointing, as although the food was good, the experience has left us with a bad taste in our mouths.

Charming little restaurant, in the East Village. Such a simple concept - choose your type of gnocchi and choose your favorite sauce. Waiter is happy to make suggestions on pairings but you can get creative to suit your own tastes. The gnocchi were plentiful, fluffy, and delicious! The burrata and prosciutto appetizer was generous and wonderful. Excellent wine assortment. Just wish it was easier for us to get to.

This is a very small, cozy restaurant. The burrata and carpaccio appetizers were tasty, while the Caesar salads tasted under-dressed. With a few apps to start, the gnocchi-for-two was perfect for a group of 3. It comes with gnocchi in 3 different sauces. We had a small table, which is fine in a small restaurant, however our 2 apps and the 2 salads were delivered all at once, which was a problem. The wine was very reasonably priced, and the staff was friendly and welcoming, even to all the people who showed up without reservations and had to be turned away.

My daughter and I had lunch at Gnocheria yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The restaurant is small so reservations are definitely recommended. The wine list is lovely. 16 options to choose from- filled; potato or spinach made. My daughter had the butter and sage and I had the pesto; both delicious. The portions are just perfect. Gnocchi are quite filling so you don't need huge portions. We will definitely be returning.

Excellent, recommend to all. Best pasta I ever eat in my life. Very fresh homemade pasta. We was 8 friends all of us was very very happy.

So delicious, the wine was so good, the food was delicious, and the service was wonderful!!! Only downfall was that their were two girls who were seated next to us who were obnoxiously loud and treated the restaurant like a club. Besides that it was a great experience definitely recommend

I started to follow gnoccheria by Luzzo on Instagram and at the first occasion in NY I tried the amazing gnocchi 😍 they were delicious, the real Italian gnocchi. I'll be back 100%

I ate dinner here with my wife, granddaughter and her husband. The service was good but the food was mediocre and generally lacking in flavor. The Bruschetta was the best thing we had as it was petty good. The gnocchi however was almost flavorless and by this I'm talking about the sauces of course. I had the pesto Genovese with pine nuts. It was the best of the three gnocchi I tried and I love pesto sauce but it had no flavor. Very disappointing. The restaurant itself is ok but with average to below average food I can't recommend it.

My family loves gnocchi and we decided that we needed to try this place. We all chose different types of gnocchi with different sauces so that we could try as many different options as possible. We definitely need a few more visits to try the rest of the menu. Service was great and the wine prices were reasonable for Manhattan.

We had a great dinner at Gnoccheria in the East Village. We ordered the Quattro Formaggi and the Sorrentina—both were rich, comforting, and full of flavor. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the Nutella Fried Gnocchi—and it did not disappoint. Warm, gooey, and a fun twist on classic Italian sweets. The space is cozy and charming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back again! Tip: Come hungry—the portions are generous and every bite is worth it.

We were 3 people and my daughter is a gnocchi lover so when she found Gnoccheria, we had to try it. The place is small but the food is big on flavour. We each had a different gnocchi with a different sauce. You could taste the flavour of each type of gnocchi and they were great. The sauces were delicious and dinner was a winner

I came upon Gnoccheria as I was walking along 4th street, looking for a place to grab a quick bit to eat. They had menus outdoors and I grabbed one and saw that they offered a cacio and pepe pasta. That's what brought me inside. Once seated I was told it was only for takeout. They really should have made it for me as I was the only one waiting for food at that point, but I got a delicious bruschetta and then the penna all'arriabbata. Both were very good. The waiter, Tim, could not have been nicer and more helpful. I will be back when I'm in the area.

I didn’t even think I liked gnocchi and then I came here and I am now in love. Such a cute place. They sat us quickly and food came out super fast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place!! One of the best meals I’ve ever had.

I had a friend who ate here and raved about it, so when I was visiting NYC the following week with a friend I made sure to seek out Gnoccheria by Luzzo's. I love gnocchi and have had it in Italy before so was very excited to try their famous signature gnocchi with the three sauces. The gnocchi was everything I had hoped for and more. Each sauce was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The staff was very kind and attentive. Every aspect of this restaurant was authentic and brought me back to Italy. I would highly recommend Gnoccheria by Luzzo's and I will definitely be back next time I am in NYC.

came upon this restaurant by chance and enjoyed it. Tim the waiter/bartender could not have been more accommodating and while waiting for a friend to arrive ordered an antipasto.....marinated artichokes with shaved parmigiano cheese...one of the best appetizers i ve ever eaten..so much so that when my friend arrived i suggested it to her for equal rave reviews. so it comes as a surprise to me that there was one negative review on trip advisor in which the person from paris france talked badly about the food....unless he was actually in the kitchen(which i doubt) i have no idea what he was talking about the food was delicious. as an example i told the owner i could have eaten several portions of the appetizers. sounds like the guy from france may have a little italian food envyl i ordered gnocchi bolognese which was very good and the gnocchi were so light i thought they would float off the plate ..the only suggestion i would make would be to make the sauce a little more on the brown than the red side....the sauce was good and this only reflects my personal preference nutmeg..porcini mushrooms..... butter..... pancetta ...or less tomato paste could be experimented with....but i did enjoy it just the same i also liked the intimacy of the place and the nice selections of wines. the meal was so filling as well as being fulfilling i didnt even ask about a dessert menu which is something i will do the next time i am there.

Service was good, nice bottle of wine with dinner. Calamari was alright, the gnocchi trio was good with tasty sauces, however the stuffed Gnocchi was amazing!!! Hands down the best dish, ordered the cheese stuffed gnocchi with Pomodoro sauce, WOW!!! Definitely will be back to have some again!!

Weird service, too bright of lighting, looks better in the pictures, over all not a great vibe. We got an appetizer and moved on to another place

I visited while seeing my daughter for a few days in NYC. She made a reservation for a Saturday night. We arrived to a very small restaurant that was crowded. They couldn't find our reservation. After a few awkward moments the hostess seated us in a back room. Very cozy. Difficult to maneuver between tables to get to a seat, but we managed. Accommodating staff. Beer and wine only. We ordered the artichokes with shaved Parmesan as an appetizer. It was delicious. I ordered the gnocchi stuffed with mushrooms and chose the butter and sage sauce. It was wonderful. My daughter ordered the cheese stuffed gnocchi with bolagnese sauce. She liked it. I thought it tasted like chef boyardee ravioli. We shared a slice of chocolate cake after which was just ok. As we left, we brushed against people's tables just to try to squeeze past the crowd. I would have been upset if I had been seated on the isle with all the traffic. But everybody in big winter coats made the tiny restaurant even tinier. Once was enough for me. My daughter will probably go back with friends since it is in her neighborhood and had a young crowd. If you live in the area and want to go, request a seat away from the door and go on a weekday.

Amazing gnocchi options. Lasagna was very good. Limone sorbet probably the best I have ever had. Meatball appetizer very good. Small restaurant. Recommend reservations.

Wow! Piccolo posto ma il cibo era stupefacente! If you love gnocchi like I do then you MUST go here. Service was attentive! I want to go back to try all the different combinations they have. Grazie x una cena meravigliosa!

I started going to Gnoccheria this year while I was working in NYC based on my daughter seeing them on Facebook. OMG....I'm sorry I waited this long before going there for dinner. The Carbonara Gnocchi is, without a doubt, the BEST dish I've ever had at an Italian Restaurant. It is amazing. The gnocchi is cooked to perfection. My mother made great gnocchi and this has the same texture as hers but their sauce is to die for! The Ragu Bolognese is delicious too. If you don't like gnocchi, they make an outstanding lasagna as well - thin layers with their meat sauce. I've ordered takeout from them and brought it back on the plane with me to Canada and had it the next day....still amazing!!! They need a better wine selection by the glass - maybe some Washington State brands. What they have is still good but that's the only improvement I can see for them. I have been here for dinner a half dozen times. I've brought family and co-workers here and they loved it! My wife LOVES the lasagna. One of the BEST restaurants around in the East Village. They don't rush you. You get A LOT of food for the price - you do not leave hungry. I will be back....and I will be bringing more back with me to Canada!!!

Very good place to eat Italian food and gnocchi. They have some pasta, but mostly gnocchies. It is a some place, some make sure you make reservation.

This place is all about gnocchi and is for gnocchi fans. You pick your gnocchi style and you pick your sauce. Service was very good. We had one traditional potato gnocchi with a picante sauce and a spinach gnocchi with ricotta cheese. Gnocchi is $24. With wine and a shared cheesecake (light - not heavy), dinner for two was $95.

I saw this place on some Facebook viral video 2 years ago and I’ve been following them on Instagram ever since. So when I finally returned to New York I had to make sure I came here and I was not disappointed! We had to order the pesto, 4 cheese and tomato gnocchi to share and it was amazing. The only fault I could possibly give is that I wanted more, it was a big portion but I could just eat it all day. The service was very quick and we were in and out within about 40 minutes, we also had some bread to start and wine. Will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in New York.

Fantastic dinner for family night out. So good we went back two nights in a row. Eduardo and company was so warm and inviting, we were made to feel like family. Next time we are in NY, we will make Gnoccheria by Luzzo's our first stop on our first night, for sure! Loved the truffles and the vodka sauces. Absolutely amazing lasagna and deserts to die for. Thank you!! My kids still talk about Eduardo as being a highlight to our latest trip to the city.

Found this place on social media and decided to try for dinner with my partner. This is a small and cosy restaurant. We ordered the shared plate which had 3 different sauces. The gnocchi was good and filling, however the service was not great. Had to continually ask for our bill and then it took forever for our change.

Visited in December, ordered the cheese stuffed gnocchi and it was magnificent! Artichoke appetizer was spectacular as well. Staff was friendly, service was great. Will return on our next visit to NYC

This spot is such a gem! We sat outside and it was delightful. Our waiter was so friendly, which really made the entire meal better. The gnocchi was delicious - tasted freshly made with great bolognese sauce. Would recommend for a cute date spot or more casual family meal.

Excited to visit as a self-proclaimed gnocchi connoisseur but ultimately disappointed in the actual gnocchi. Wine list was good, appetizer salads tasty (we had Caesar, Mista and Arugula). One of us had stuffed gnocchi (more like ravioli) and it was drowned in pesto, small portion. One had potato gnocchi with tomato sauce- decent portion. One of us had potato Gnocchi with carbonara - more like a cream sauce. Gnocchi were homemade but not soft pillows as one would expect in a Gnoccheria. Service was very attentive and friendly! Overall a decent experience.

If you love gnocchi, this is a must. The four cheese gnocchi was amazing in the trio sampler. The burrata and prosciutto was creamy and delicious as was the meatballs. Definitely will be back.

We caught up with friends in New York at this small restaurant that specializes in gnocchi.... and of course they do it well ! Around $20 for a main course, and affordable Italian wines on offer (by the glass or bottle). Good hearty food. Good value!

First of all the guy below with the 1 star has no idea what he is talking about and 5/6 of his reviews are extremely rude and mean so ignore his comments bc almost everything he said was completely wrong. Ok now to the Pros... my antipasta was the Burrata and Prosciutto. It was very good. Really high quality meat and cheese. Then I️ had the standard Gnocchi with Sorentina sauce. It was perfect. The Gnocchi was good quality and the sauce was excellent. Would definitely order again. The wine list had a wide range and some really nice selections. I️ really enjoyed my meal. Cons... it was a strange set up. All the waiters were wearing their normal hangout clothes instead of a waiters uniform. The meals were excellent but rather small. The service was fine but not very welcoming, just, “what do you guys want?” And no bread! For the several cons I️ had, the quality and taste of the food far outweighed any criticism but those things should definitely be changed. I️ will certainly be coming back to try a new sauce!!!

I was so looking forward to eating at Gnoccheria. Gnocchi is among my favorite dishes and the thought of a restaurant dedicated to this pasta dish was hard to imagine. Unfortunately, the gnocchi was not among the best I have eaten. The dumplings were not supple, sliced and not rolled and the sauces not delicate. This is not to say that we had a bad meal. It was satisfying and I would return back, though with my expectations managed.

Fabulous gnocchi . We ordered the Tris Signature dish for two , which has gnocchi with 3 different sauces . Pesto Genovese - Quattro Formaggi - Sorrentina.. the gnocchi just melts in your mouth . The wine selection is also very good . Small place so don’t forget to make reservations . They are super busy . Must try in the East Village of Manhattan ..

Novel to specialize in gnocchi and they deliver. The menu is fun with a great and perhaps unexpected assortment of gnocchi (classic potato, purple potato, gluten free) paired with numerous sauce options. The food was delicious!!! I loved the purple potato gnocchi with quattro fromaggi sauce. The stuffed gnocchi was fantastic and the pesto sauce insanely good. The sauces were full of flavor and rich. We enjoyed the starters as well. The panna cotta was fantastic! The waiter was first rate and made the dinner even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy. Wine only, no other cocktails. We'll return soon.

After seeing this advertised on Facebook, we planned to come here as soon as we knew we were travelling to New York. I love Gnocchi and opted for the stuffed gnocchi but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be, still tasty though! My friend got the classic gnocchi and she said it was incredible. The staff were also really helpful.

If you’re looking for authentic Gnocchi this is the place. A little bit off the beaten path and well worth it. We had carbonara, pesto and pomodaro. The wine was great as well. Highly recommend this fantastic place.

Great Italian restaurant. I was there during my visit to Nyc with my family and that of a friend. We ate very well, the dumplings were delicious. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it to those who do not want to eat well. The neighborhood in which it is located is also beautiful.

Nice walk from Stuy Town. Small crowd at noon on Sunday, good service. Cute restaurant with a nice vibe. We had the classic potato gnocchi with sorrentina sauce, the four cheese gnocchi and the gorgonzola. Also loved the mural up the street.

We learned about Gnoccheria on Facebook a couple of years back and put it on our list for this trip to NYC. I’m so glad we did ! The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We got meatballs that were just like my grandmothers and the sauce ( or gravy , as we call it) was excellent. 3 of us preferred gnocchi and 1 had the rigatoni and all were equally delicious! Will definitely come back again.

Delicious soft pillowy gnocchi in an array of sauces. The menu includes all the classic pasta sauces you would expect, except they are all served with gnocchi! Such a great spot, nice atmosphere and lovely attentive staff.
Best Nocchi Ever!
I have been on a quest to find the best Gnocchi in NYC. With all due respect to the scattered greats in the city, this is the place. We just loved it. There must be a dozen gnocchi's on the menu to try. My wife had a truffles gnocchi and mine was a bolognese. Both were off the charts delicious. We will be going back, over and over. Just thrilled we found this place!
