The very first night it was great. The next nights there was a different bartender who was just rude. …can’t say it any other way. This guy, should be doing something else other than complaining how long he had to work, and if he cannot be nice, at least not come out as rude. We stayed at the hotel next door for a week.

Do not recommend

By Royjr |

Local for 6 months to watch Knicks games. Would show up 2x a week. Arrived 2 hours before the Knicks game to get a seat at the bar. Ordered 2 rounds & attempted to order food. 3 minutes before the game starts, the manager decided to kick me and 3 other guest out our seats. Stated it was “reserved” for his “friends”. Being a local, they always label the seats that are “reserved”. Bar was packed & did not offer a new seat. Insisted that if we were to stay, we have to stand. Unprofessional and do not accommodate paying customers. I would not recommend this bar because at any moment you can loose your seat. Manager would rather run up a free tab with his “friends”.

Friendly environment

We were staying in the hotel next door. The staff at Goldies were really helpful. Knowledgeable about their menu and choice of drinks. We ate there twice, and the food was great. Clean, tidy, friendly and welcoming Open until 2 AM,

Busy Night for Staff

Came here for an event after a concert at MSG. Nice place. Lots of people attended the event, which is great, but it was understaffed and we felt bad for the server who was visibly stretched trying to service everyone. Hopefully they can consider staffing events with more servers in the future. Food was good.

Be careful because i got massively overcharged.

Nice people and bar but someone has triple charged me so I'm not very impressed at all. I am going to go back to the bar and speak to them so their attitude will determine whether this review changes or not

Great place to stop.

Only a 4 as older. But food, atmosphere and drinks were good. Great waitress. Very convenient located next to courtyard Marriott hotel. Close to Maddison Square Garden.

Midtown Mecca

By Austin S |

Midtown Manhattan is a hard place to find a great sports bar on the weekend. I found Goldies before a Rangers game this past week. It was fantastic. A group of my friends met for pregame and went back for a night cap post game. The space is huge with plenty of tv's. I am definitely going back anytime I am near Madison Square Garden The menu is head and shoulders above the regular chicken tenders and french fries you generally see at a pub/sports grill. The steak was awesome. We came in last minute and the staff squeezed us in and remembered us as soon as we came back in the door. Highly recommend.

A Local Gem

Goldie's Tavern is a charming spot that perfectly blends a relaxed atmosphere with great food. Their burgers are juicy and flavorful, and the selection of craft beers is impressive. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming vibe. Whether for a casual lunch or a night out with friends, Goldie's is a must-visit for a fun experience!

Great Spot near MSG, off the Main Drag

Great please to grab a drink or finger foods away from the traffic near Madison Square Garden. Attached to the Courtyard Chelsea (but not affiliated), they have a long marble bar where you can watch games or post-game. The bartender was chatty, friendly and attentive. They have a nice selections of beer and bourbon.

Delicious, tasty, and a perfect night out

Went here with a group of friends to grab a bite to eat when we were visiting Manhattan, and couldn’t have been happier. The food was off the charts and the cocktails were amazing and I’m not even that big of a drinker! Great atmosphere as well being so close to Madison Square Garden!

NYC Sports Bar next to MSG

By Matthew M |

Stopped in here after a long day at a work conference because it was next to the hotel I was staying at. This place is a hidden gem in NYC. The bartender Robby was really nice and I ended up chatting with the GM Wayne who recommended the MLT sandwich it was delicious. I even tested them ordering a Guinness and it was poured perfectly. Perfect spot to watch any sports game at or to get a few drinks before heading to MSG.

Stayed at the connected hotel on business. Lucked out having this gem next door. Food and service was incredible and the vibes were electric for the Knicks game. Will be my go to next time in NYC

What an amazing place the owner was wonderful. The white staff was wonderful as well. All the food was great, and their drinks were awesome too. We would definitely come back to this place anytime we visited New York.

Amazing for happy hour!!

I frequent Goldie’s with a group of friends from work and it’s the perfect happy hour spot. There’s plenty of room to seat a large group, staff is very attentive, and food and drinks are delicious! Great proximity to MSG and Penn Station as well.

Standard Food

On first night in Manhattan we decided to stay local (jet lag was kicking in) and went to Goldies which is right next door to the Marriott Courtyard Chelsea. They have indoor and outdoor seating, we stayed outdoor as it was extremely warm and its a good people watching area. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, offering us drinks and menu on arrival. We had been travelling so only ordered a main, I had a fish sandwich and fries. The food didn't take long to arrive, it was ok and filled a hole, we had a couple of drinks then headed to bed.

Best sports bar near MSG

By Celeste S |

Best bar in this neighborhood BY FAR. Especially for anything sports related. Perfect distance from msg whether you have tickets to a game or a concert. Or need to enjoy a game from the bar !!! I’ve been going to this spot since they opened. I love the staff!! They always have drink specials and they give constant love to the local teams. If you ever have a request for a game that might not be on, they’ll always find it for you if they can and they show ufc fights and the big boxing matches. The food is awesome as well. Totally appropriate for a night on the town but also great for a business lunch or a gathering with the family. Love you GOLDIES !!!!
