One of the many reasons I like to stay in this hotel is the Bar and the Grand Salon. Always a nice fresh breakfast and good service in a really great ambiance.

Great place to dine for quality food and conversation, incredible decor, amazing customer service; reservations are strongly encouraged if you are not staying at the hotel

Impressive cozy atmosphere. Menu offers both high tea and other dishes. The high tea selection is gourmande, the food (we tried a lobster roll and an hamburger) is done to perfection. We where there celebrating an anniversary, but we didn’t say anything to anyone, except that while sitting down I mentioned that we wanted to let one of us chose the table as it was his anniversary, and the staff was so efficient and attentive that at the end they brought as a chocolate mousse on a plate with written “happy anniversary”, a special touch we appreciated.

The food here is ok. Portions are very small, but I guess that's how the beautiful people here stay slim!

After seeing all the brunch and tea reviews I eagerly wanted to come here. I was a little underwhelmed. Everything we ordered was ok, but not great. The atmosphere was very stuffy and we did not feel welcomed but tried to enjoy our time. It was an alright experience but we probably would not return.

Terrible and Overpriced Tea Extremely disappointed in the afternoon tea at Baccarat Hotel. The Grand Salon is absolutely stunning and the Baccarat crystal glasses an elegant touch. Sadly, the food is simply terrible. The savory sandwiches were inedible. Ham and cheese was served on stale bread, egg salad tart was tasteless, the lobster roll was served on a stale bun and the lobster meat was fishy, the foil gras macaron truly so awful I had to spit it out. The scones were large and heavy and looked unappetizing and the pastries very underwhelming with simple decoration. At $110 a person this is outrageous. Avoid this tea and food at Grand Salon Baccarat. It’s actually insulting to be charged this price. I recently had tea at The Lanesborough in London and it was exquisite in every way. A true work of art. The chef needs training and to step up the tea presentation and food. Tea for 2 with 2 glasses of champagne was $300. Never again.

Can’t wait to go again for this special experience! Sipping from their beautiful glassware alone is worth it!

The ambience of this place is beautiful with all the crystal chandeliers. The couches were comfortable and the food service was excellent. The only concern was that when I booked they didn’t tell me that when you book you automatically get the Prince of Wales tea. Some of the party did not want that option and so there was a concern with the management. The food service manager was able to help us out of which we were very grateful because some in the party had dietary restrictions. Once that was done, the service was impeccable. The choice of teas was amazing and we wish that we could’ve brought the tea home with us. The food was inventive and used many different ingredients. It was definitely a wonderful afternoon, and I would highly recommend it.

From the reservation to our arrival to our beautiful window table, our afternoon tea at Baccarat was exceptional. The champagne and tea selection was wonderful. The Grand Salon is quiet, serene, and exemplifies all of the elegance that should accompany fine afternoon tea. All of the sweet and savory treats exceeded our expectations and tasted even better than they looked. The scones arrived at our table warm with delicious clotted cream and jelly. It was truly a beautiful experience in an equally stunning setting, looking forward to coming again!

Yes, started each day in New York here, decent value as long as you were picky with USD 30 for the continental with juice and granola. Endless coffee as well, and coffee was pretty good at that. Surround yourself with the beautiful, as opposed to PJs and slippers as I did, service was good, atmosphere the same and relaxing to ease yourself in to a new york morning

My wife and I have both been avid tea drinkers for a long time and we have traveled many times to Europe on the Cunard White Star line. Have had afternoon tea all over London, Paris and Rome. The Baccarat can be summarized in two words: pretentious, expensive. The tea wasn't very good. It wasn't made properly, the pot was not warmed. I think the water was just dumped in moments before it was put in front of us. The sweets and savouries were pretty but had no taste or mouth-feel. It was sort of like eating something made entirely of flavorless gelatin but made to look like a great dessert. For nearly $300 it was a waste of time and money. Hugely disappointed.

I treated my partner to afternoon tea at $90 each. When it came there were just 3 small single bite 'sandwiches' then around 6 single bite cakes. That was it with a pot of tea for $90 plus $12 for water. The server was lovely and the Tea Lady was great too really knowledgeable and friendly but we didn't enjoy the actual food side unfortunately and being English we have had many afternoon teas that do vary from place to place but this was the most expensive and most disappointing I'm sorry to report. Shame.

Great place for breakfast and coffee. Beautiful accommodations, and food, but bring your checkbook! Uber luxury at it's finest.

Love this salon. It's beautiful. Food is good for a quick bite or drinks. Breakfast is lovely. Great wine selection. Comfortable.

We went for tea time, I kid you not, someone came vaccuming with a Dyson vaccum next to our table! And no, there was no accident, just regular vaccuming while you are having a $150 tea for father's day. Also the food is very average, dessert are actually law quality and overall service is a 3 stars hotel not 5. The baccarat glasses were cute

Beautiful surroundings and very elegant. Service not as expected. Asked to wait outside the Grand Salon, no seating and no explanation. We had the tinsel afternoon tea, most of the items were tasty, 2 items very bland. Good choice of items and the teas were excellent. Our waiter was attentive, however we asked another waiter if we could have what we had not eaten boxed up, others guests had done the same. We were thrown a box and had to do this ourselves, not the service we would expect. The first waiter noticed and apologised.

I just returned from having afternoon tea at the Baccarat Grand Salon. Yes, it's pricey but OMG it is totally worth it! Entering the lobby of the hotel, I was greeted at the entrance by two friendly, welcoming door men who readied their umbrellas offering me shelter from the rain. I only had to walk a few steps into the lobby but what a wonderful introduction to the attention to service. Upon entering the salon the excellent service continued. I was escorted to a seat by the window facing the beautifully decorated restaurant. Sparkling chandeliers, art pieces displayed in glass cases and a deep cushy high-backed chair offered an elegant and soothing setting. The service was exceptional! Friendly, personable waiters and attentive F&B personnel. Finally, I have to mention the food. Spectacular!!! Easily a 5 star experience. Delicious savories, melt in your mouth, burst of different flavored sweets, the best tasting warm homemade scones, delicious Devonshire cream, (I ate this alone with a spoon), and tasty berry Gelée. One of the saviors had a dollop of caviar on it which put me off of it right away because I do not like caviar. Since everything tasted so good, I decided at the last-minute to try it. I'm not sure what caviar I've eaten in the past but this caviar was delicious. I ate every tiny egg. All this food was paired with a soothing, smooth tasting, fruity, full aroma Indian black tea. I left the Baccarat Grand Salon feeling like I had a full body massage which included my palate. I will definitely go back soon as I like treating myself well!

My sister and I have been to over thirty afternoon teas (many in NYC), and this was by far the absolute worst. The pastries from the Prince of Wales option were stale and the desserts bland. Also, I requested a vegetarian selection in advance and was flabbergasted to find that my savories featured grilled cheese, avocado toast, and a cracker with cream cheese. Perhaps more egregious is that when our waiter brought the selection to our table, he described my savories as “bread with avocado and... some other things.” For $90, I should think they can come up with something better than grilled cheese and at least be able to tell me what I’m eating. My sis (not a vegetarian) enjoyed the caviar but was just as uninspired as I with the rest. Needless to say, we will not be back for tea or anything else at Baccarat.

At first , getting a reservation was very difficult , either online or by phone . I did requested assistance from Chase Conceirge to finally made it .🙏 It was worth the wait and patience , my best friend Gladys and I enjoyed the total experience From the moment we arrive at the Grand Salon , Aida , Sofia and Isabella were great hostess .💖 The attentive service of Mr Raj , Karma were excellent . The choices we had were delicious , it was pricey but the New Tork City … The service. , table was well appointed 👍🏻👍🏻 I’ll attach pictures to explain the entire experience at Bacar 💝💝💝 We were not rush or anything . They’ve given me a special gift for my birthday 🎂 I highly recommend this place for any occasion 💝💖❤️🩹❤️ We happened to stop by at the shop of Baccarat where Mr Mike handled it well . Great customer service 🥰 Mike was very cordial and pleasant to deal with 👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you all 🥰 It was another memories for the books 💝💝💝

This is a wonderful place to eat and meet -- maybe the most elegant room in all of NYC and the quality of the food is excellent. There is also a very knowledgeable tea sommelier who is passionate about what she does and takes you through the finer points of tea. Everything is superlative -- food, décor, service and the overall experience.

We have some drinks at the grand Salon Baccarat and was really a great choice , all type of liquors and cocktails, excellent place for drink and have dinner, the atmosphere is amazing relaxing and joyful we really enjoy our drinks and food, great place to spend a night in Manhattan.

The most stylish , elegant and glamorous place for breakfast in town - simply amazing !!! Definitely suggest for big healthy breakfast or just espresso in a crystal Baccarat glass !!!

Always a treat to dine in the Grand Salon or simply enjoy a glass of champagne after a busy day. Incredible service, fabulous champagne selection, gourmet dining and of course an opportunity to enjoy an amazing beverage served in a crystal baccarat glass.

Lobby refused to let my friend take the elevator to the restaurant where I was already seated and waiting and despite her saying she had a dinner reservation. After a lot of back and forth - like 10 minutes - she was finally escorted to the table. Tomato soup - bland - taste like out of a can. The table next to us had the same problem (taken off the bill). Seafood soup - bland. Sea bass - bland and fish tasted raw. Scallop risotto - bland, fishy and inedible. Left almost untouched. Indicated that the reservation was for a birthday. Got a surprise dessert (way too sweet) with a candle and “happy anniversary” written on the plate. Wait staff was nice enough but not existent most of the time. My friend had to wait a long time and make a 2nd request for her $12 small cup of cafe americano. After I made a comment to the waiter about the tomato soup, no other questions were asked about the rest of the meal. He just disappeared. Quite disappointing especially for the price point. Note for the restaurant: hire a new chef asap.

What could be better than afternoon tea here? Tea and champagne along with their heavenly canapes and petit fours, does not get any better.

I just had lunch in the gorgeous Grand Salon at Baccarat Hotel this week, and the experience exceeded my expectations! I was planning a super quick lunch, but the service and ambiance was so inviting and discreet that I ended up staying longer than planned. I had the sparkling yuzu drink with the BLT sandwich and fries. Those were the absolute BEST french fries I have ever had anywhere...period!! I highly recommend all three selections. My only regret was that I did not have dessert this time around, but I will definitely be back!! I'm looking forward to bringing my mother in the near future for a spa day followed by afternoon tea!

There is little I can say but that the time I spent having tea at the grand salon was unforgettable. The place is posh, comfortable, beautiful and well lit. The service is kind and efficient. Their tea selection is incredible: I had an english tea which included a delicious earl grey , scones with jam and cream and a wide selection of small sweets and salty delicacies. Although it is a little pricy (ny tea was around USD90) the time I spent there and the delicious food I had make it well worth it. I expect to return and recommended eyes closed!

This is a special Mother’s Day gift by trying this exclusive afternoon tea , each time I walked into this beautiful place, still have some uncertainty, feel hesitated because if u come early even just one minute, you must waited at the side, I arrived 10 minutes earlier, same approach! Finally seated , then waited more than 10 minutes still no one came , not even served some water, I felt so rejected, plus super hungry! I suddenly remember some of the bad reviews I read before, then know why ! Thank god the handsome manager finally pop up, he followed up everything, I ordered my drink right away tried to refreshed a bit and calm myself , finally the pretty waitress showed up and just asked : what afternoon you like ? of course I would order Prince of Wales ! Thank god the tea set came very fast, also the manager make a little presentation , so I was able to made a video of moving tea set, more impressive & heart warming, this is one of the exclusive afternoon tea in big Apple , from the presentation , taste & texture , the best of the best , you must try it when you can ! The tip : you must make reservation, don’t go to afternoon tea at 1:30 pm, worst timing, wait for 3:30 pm if u can !

Been to a lot of afternoon high tea and I must admit, this is the best I’ve ever been to date. Although the food is not the best, overall was very good! Service and ambiance were excellent. The Grand Salon was beautiful inside. To just sit there was a lovely experience. Dress to impress when you come because if you don’t, you will feel left out especially with those gorgeous chandeliers hanging in every corner of the room. A must once!

The Grand Salon has soaring ceilings, an eclectic mix of comfortable furniture, examples of Baccarat crystal, and a very good wait staff. It is pricey, but not much more so than other places like it. You pay for the beauty of the surrounding and it is worth it.

I live in the city, and come to visit Christian and the team regularly. They always provide exceptional service and attention to detail. The wine list is filled with rarities and every day gems. The Grand Salon is spacious and the setting is excellent for everything from entertaining out of town clients, to hosting groups of friends.

The Christmas Day meal service at Baccarat Hotel was a complete let down. The food was bland, and the service was incredibly slow. For the high prices charged, I expected a memorable dining experience, but unfortunately, it was anything but that. I won't be returning for another festive occasion.

The food is very well presented, the portions are small but is enough, a very chic place to have lunch or breakfast. The pancakes and the NY bagel are the best of the breakfast menu

Aline was our waitress. She was extremely nice and professional. Food was beyond amazing. We ordered the steak. It's to be discussed that this isn't steakhouse. Ive read reviews that the food is small, which it is (the steak can probably fit in the palm of your hand and the potatoes that come with the steak are as small as a literal dime however, the taste is exquisite. The Grand Salon isn't set up like a restaurant but really after it's name. A Salon. (In french means a living room) but the Grand Salon is more like an upscale living room with eclectic peices of furniture and decor.

We just got back from a couples vacation and stay at the Baccarat Hotel, so we visited The Grand Salon every afternoon for cocktails and some snacks.

I came back due to my first visit back in 2019 pre-covid. I had a great time and it made an impression on me despite that it was a bit pricey for the food offered. The place is beautiful with gorgeous chandeliers all over the Salon. Quite fancy for an afternoon tea , but it had a lovely ambiance that one has to experience once in their lifetime. Food was ok, nothing really special but just the experience was enough for one to visit. Come for the ambiance and the gorgeous chandeliers and you’ll be enchanted.

Who ever wrote the first review for this forgot to mention that it's the Grand Salon at the one and only Baccarat Hotel! Not a minor detail as it just happens to be located in the nicest hotel in NYC. Breakfast, tea, dinner - all exceptional.

IF you are looking to be treated and feel like Royalty, this is the place for you. The staff are all VERY attentive and cater to your every need. Highly Recommend.

Enjoyed afternoon tea service and while the tea and three-tiered tray came out relatively quickly, finding anyone to refill our water glasses and/or order a glass of champagne was surprisingly difficult. Waiters were all very nice, professional, knowledgeable, and there were lots of them, but our water glasses sat empty for 20 minutes before we asked someone to refill them. We ordered a glass of champagne from two separate people and it arrived another 20 minutes later. The scones were amazing, and the rest of the food was nice, but again, given the price, it wasn't worth it. Finally, the host was far from welcoming. Shockingly rude, kept us waiting when it was clearly unnecessary, was cold, brusque, and unhelpful. Given the cost of tea service, this is just unacceptable.

Save your money! The food and the service at the Baccarat Hotel Grand Salon Afternoon Tea was OKAY at best. (I’ve been to Harrods in London and the Ashford Castle in Ireland. Both of those places had better food and service and were less expensive.). The scones here were overcooked, overly sweet and all the same flavor. The smoked salmon came on a stale cracker. And the vegetable tart was so small that the only discernible flavor was the crust. (It looked and tasted as though it came from a pack of frozen cocktail snacks.). The “lobster roll” was more bun than filling. The service was also disappointing for a 5 star hotel. At first our waitress was attentive but once we ordered and the tea arrived, I think she forgot we were behind her. When we were finished, the man clearing the table was the one who brought our bill and took the payment since our waitress was nowhere in sight. I reached out to the director of food and beverage service. He replied to my email and offered to discuss my concerns. Sadly, he never contacted me. I will NOT be returning. There are plenty of other afternoon tea places in NYC to try.

After a perfect day walking/matinee performance of "Hamilton", we loved our light dinner starting with a glass of Tattinger champagne of course served in Baccarat. Gorgeous room embellished with magnificent chandeliers! The dessert course was a tiered tray of tiny treats, all one bite delights.

The Grand Salon is as luxurious as any place in NYC. The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing, and the service was good most of the time. The only negative would be the price, but for a special occasion, this is definitely a place you won't forget!

Have you ever had afternoon tea in a classy hotel - - one where every surface seems to take on a special sheen, where the far-too-attractive staff move about as unobtrusively as air, where every single aspect screams, "I'm special!"? Such is the case of Afternoon Tea at New York City's Baccarat Hotel Grand Salon which is discreetly ensconced along 53rd close enough to kiss The Museum of Modern Art. Mr. Teabody and I in the company of our much-beloved niece, Darci, along with fellow members and friends of the Mid Atlantic Tea Business Association (MATBA) had such an experience on Monday last and we won't soon forget the day and its highlights. I'm a fan of tea menus, and I prefer the ones that come inside a little leather book but the unbooked one offered to us at Baccarat was nicely done on a stiff paper with our group's title at the top so that was just fine. There were just enough fancy names to tickle me and not so many as to put me off. The first decision is always "WHICH tea?" and I am always a sucker for Assam because it's what I like. My companions chose a green and a rooibos and it took a full ten minutes before our selections arrived in lovely stark white teapots. We were encouraged to share. While we waited for the tea to arrive, we took some time to snap a few photos. I love the one that shows my niece posing with all the grandness of the salon behind her. This was her first afternoon tea and she looked beautiful in her chartreuse dress and pretty sheer fascinator. We did dress for the occasion and the effort did not pass unnoticed. It's a lovely room and the crystal is sublime. The beautiful “Savories” course arrived on the stunning Baccarat crystal tiers. Please understand as tea professionals, we are not easily impressed. That said we immediately scarfed up the Foie gras mousseline with blackberry and pistachio financier in a heartbeat. Bliss. Lobster salad in a black pepper pizelle, teeny grilled cheese, spinach and mushroom pain perdue. Every single morsel was exquisite. Having made short work of the "Savories" course, we were excited to see Baccarat's take on traditional scones. Not a disappointment, and the brimming goblet of REAL Devonshire clotted cream served beside a goblet of seasonal Gelee--ours was apricot-- was a delight. When our server asked if he could serve our sweets course along with our scones, we did not discourage him. All the while we munched on scones, we could look at the delicacies waiting for us. At the top we had Jasmine Pistachio Genoise, in the middle, Charlotte Framboise and at the bottom two dazzlers: Black Orchid Mousse au Chocolate and Tartlet aux Fruits. All too soon it was time to sip the last sip and draw our visit to a close, but not without a few more observations about what we loved: the elegant white "crock" and the fat-bottomed crystal water goblets, the gunmetal grey modern flatware and the marble-topped tables. Staff were unpretentious and accommodating and the whole afternoon moved off without one false note. It was a tea to remember and the perfect "first tea" for my niece – one that will be tough to top. Afternoon tea in a fancy hotel is not something one does very often, but it IS an experience not to be missed, and this one in the Grand Salon at Baccarat was truly special.

Went to the Baccarat for the Holiday afternoon tea service in December. The hotel and Grand Salon were beautifully decorated. The food and tea presentation was amazing, but the taste was just above average. We were impressed with the wonderful staff and the beautiful atmosphere, but a little disappointed in the savories.

We paid $350 for party of 4 for an afternoon tea session. Honestly, overpriced for the value. The presentation was gorgeous. The atmosphere was great and the staff were very professional. But the food was lacking. I would rate the place at the bottom 3 afternoon tea experiences when it comes to food selection - and I had quite a bit afternoon teas domestically and internationally. Disappointing. Don’t let the pretty photos fool you.

The Grand Salon is representative of the style of the hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel each morning and the place is opulent and well appointed. Recommended.

Save your money!!!! The food and the service at the Baccarat Hotel Grand Salon Afternoon Tea was OKAY at best. (I’ve been to Harrods in London and the Ashford Castle in Ireland. It's easy to miss the Baccarat on West 53rd Street, mostly surrounded by MOMA, but that would be a mistake. The restaurant offers real treats, not to be missed, There's a nice selection of champagne, recognizable names, some at surprisingly affordable prices, excellent food -- caviar, foie gras, delicious salmon -- also affordable, along with some other affordable wines by the glass (not to mention a Lafitte Rothschild) all in a Baccarat crystal ambience. First rate service, starting with an alert doorman, and excellent servers, completes the picture. Other than the bill (definitely not trivial) I had no complaints -- other than the number of candles on my virtual birthday cake.

The Grand Salon is utterly stunning - elegant, high ceilinged & dripping in crystal. Drinks are served in exquisite, heavy weight crystal glasses that are a joy to hold. The place attracts a showy international set with money to burn on $175 plates of caviar - the people watching scene is off the scale! The menu covers breakfast through to dinner including Afternoon Tea which looked divine. We had lunch dishes which were delicious & prettily presented. Service was friendly & polished. You must go dahlings.

Very stylish unfortunately no reservations for non residents possible. But if you are once in just great experience huge wine list and very nice food from well known chef Gabriel Kreuther

We stopped by for a respite from the snow for cocktails. The room is lovely, Service excellent and while expensive the cocktails were well crafted and I enjoyed a rose which was a nice vintage and generous pour. What could be better then enjoying a leisurely libation in Baccarat. As a constructive suggestion the Corn nuts could be replaced with a more appropriate nosh at such a lovely spot.

We had an amazing time during our lunch at the Baccarat Grand Salon. The food is amazing and the service outstanding. Chef Ali was kind enough to stop by and share some of his amazing achievements. The Food and Beverage Management team was also very attentive, ensuring our experience was excellent. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place if you'd like to experience luxury at its finest.

This is a review of the Baccarat Hotel Afternoon Tea Service at the Grand Salon. I write this review in comparison to the Afternoon Tea Service at the Plaza Hotel in NY that we went to a few weeks ago. The Baccarat Hotel afternoon tea service is not only much worse than the afternoon tea at the Plaza Hotel, but is also quite atrocious and not worth the expense such that I would absolutely suggest going to the Plaza Hotel instead. Firstly, they bring everything out on a three tiered tray together (whereas the Plaza Hotel brings out the scones and sandwiches/second course first and then desserts separately). They don't change out the plates such that you are expected to eat the mini sandwiches on the same plate where you have some jam perhaps and crumbs from the scones, and then you are expected to eat the dessert on the same plate as the second course and the scones! We had to flag down a waiter and ask for new plates. The scones and jam were decent. One of the sandwiches was simply a ham and cheese with no flavor. The chocolate cake on the vegan menu was absolutely atrocious: it was dry and crumbly with muted flavor; it was inedible. The fruit puree on the vegan dessert plate was not tasty at all, and the cashew cream dessert has a really off flavor such that it too was not tasty at all. The vegan pastry chef has no talent at the Baccarat Hotel. By contrast, the vegan desserts at the Plaza Hotel afternoon tea were so delicious and decadent, you would never even know they are vegan! The non-vegan, regular desserts at the Baccarat Hotel afternoon tea service were not very good either. One was a dried up pink cookie of sorts that was on the crispy side. It didn't taste good. The jello looking mouse wasn't very good--we've had much better at fine restaurants. It was nothing special. Any French patisserie in the city would have tastier, better desserts. Lastly, the service was not very attentive. The waiters barely came by. No one asked if we needed anything or how we are doing. The waiter basically dropped off the three tier afternoon tea tray and disappeared. When we sat down, we got our tea first and then waited another 10-15 minutes for them to bring the food tray such that our tea had cooled by the time the scones, sandwiches, etc., and desserts arrived all together! The lobby area where the tea is served is beautiful, but the level of service and quality of the afternoon tea items do not warrant the price, and the experience is not so enjoyable at the Baccarat Hotel afternoon tea. By contrast, at the Plaza Hotel the service and quality of the afternoon tea food items is divine both on the regular and vegan menu, making the experience delightful and worth every penny and then some. In short, if you want an afternoon tea experience, do you not go to the Baccarat Hotel. I highly recommend the Plaza Hotel (or anywhere else) instead.

Went for tea and also for evening drinks, quite honestly, it was okay but there was absolutely nothing that stood out. Presentation was beautiful but there wasn’t not one tea item that I went crazy over.

Came to have tea with my 13 year old daughter. Was told that I had to pre-arrange the Children's Petit tea. No accommodations made and never advised that this was the case when I booked or when they called to confirm. Really disappointing. She and I have had afternoon tea all over the world - most recently at the Ritz in Paris (which was fantastic). This place doesn't hold a candle to it. Stale sandwiches, mediocre sweets. Tea was ok but no milk was offered for my chai. Overall REALLY disappointing.

I went with my daughter and teenage grandkids to the Grand Salon. We had early dinner. Food was delicious and worth the pricing. Coffee and water were overpriced. We were waited on "profusely" - very attentive and courteous staff - until the bill was handed to us. I put my CC in there, everything went smoothly, got my final bill; I put the adequate tip and left the bill jacket on the table while we were sitting and finishing our coffees. In no time, a waiter comes over and snatches the bill jacket before we were done with our coffees, or even showed the intention of leaving. The Salon was almost empty, i.e. we didn't hinder somebody's turn to have a meal or a drink. It never happened to me, even in the simplest restaurants in NYC. The missing star was for Etiquette!

The hotel is simply magnificent, the food, drinks and service are incredible. You feel so special and pampered the minute you walk in. You must go.

The Baccarat Hotel is exquisite! I have not stayed in the rooms but love going here for dinner or a to share a nice bottle of wine with my love. They have a vast and impressive wine list. The sommelier, Matthew (Matthieu?), helped me find the perfect wine to pair with dinner on our 1st visit and we have returned to do the same with small bites and/or just to sip and enjoy the ambience. He hasn't let us down. . . from bubbly to Bordeaux. Everything is served in Baccarat crystal. 5 Star, White Glove treatment all the way. The price tag fits the experience. . . Treat yourself!
Lunch
Our table was reserved for 1pm our Oder was taken at 1:30 ... they are very “relaxed “. Once the order was taken the food didn’t take too long. The food portions are small. The Spicy tuna, lollipop shrimp, rabbit and mushroom soup were really good. The room Is quite impressive. When we left a lot if people had just arrived for high tea ... that looked really good.
