On 10th Avenue just off 42nd Street on the fourth floor of a small hotel, this restaurant offers middle eastern food. The dishes we ordered were delicious. We had theatre tickets for later in the evening and the kitchen and servers insured our timely departure.

So great to have such a great restaurant on site after a day of travel when we arrived at Yotel and we just wanted a good meal. Steak, lamb cooked to order & wonderful. Our server, Taylor, was excellent. Also did breakfast there. Overall, food very good, staf friendly & was super to find a such a great place in our Yotel.

We ate here with a group of six people for a family dinner that included one birthday. As two of the members have nut allergies I called ahead to find out if it would be possible for us to have a birthday candle put into a dessert that the waitstaff could bring out so that we could sing. I was connected with the chef, Gabriel Israel Who showed me that the chocolate mousse cake was nut free as well as delicious. When we got to our table our waiter Zachary was very helpful and already knew that we had nut allergies at the table. He was very knowledgeable about the dishes and if there was a question that we had he went to seek out the answers. We had a variety of small plates and entrées they were all delicious. Additionally, Zachary helped us to order the right amount of food. All dishes had a beautiful presentation and were served in a timely manner. The service was very attentive without being overbearing. The room was lovely and not too loud and the seating was spacious.

Overall poor. Service- This was disappointing from the start. No one showed us to the table and then when we sat down no one bought us a menu, until they realised we couldn't order! We asked for still water but they don't have a big bottle so we had to have a mix of small bottles! Our meze was bought out but no one explained what they all were - we just had to guess. Then our mains came but they hadn't cleared away our starters. We had to tell them to clear them away before they put our mains down!! Wow. You couldn't make this up! Then 2 people in our party had finished their main, but one was still eating, but they took the two finished plates away whilst the other person kept eating! Don't know if they wanted us out in a hurry! The waitress was ok, but managed to top up our sparkling wine too much and it spilt. Food We had the Meze as a starter it was ok although the bread was a bit burnt. For main we had a duck dish which was cold. A chicken dish which was also cold. Needless to say we didn't have pudding! I really wouldn't go back. We eat in many great restaurants including Michelin stared and this was just bad. Don't go.

When I booked I asked the guy at the desk if the ala carte menu was available. Yes! Great we will book then. However when I get here I’m told no, all we have is the set menu! Ho hum, you have little or no chance of getting what you want when the people that are there to help you don’t know their jobs.

Green Fig is located inside Yotel, where we stayed. It looked nice, so we decided to eat breakfast the day we were leaving. What a pleasant surprise! The food was tasted scrumptious! It was prepared so beautifully that I took a picture. The service was fantastic: very friendly, attentive waiter.

As we stayed in Yotel we ate at the café a couple of times. The café offer the minimum choice for a continental type breakfast. It was okay for a quick bite and cup of tea/coffee before gong out but if you want something a bit more substantial you would best eat in the other hotel restaurant. Considering when we booked the hotel coffee/tea and muffins were advertised as being free, having to pay for them made the taste a bit sour!!

Picked this spot because it was close to our hotel and had good reviews. Mezze appetizer was outstanding. I had lamb chops with freekeh which were excellent. My wife had chicken which I thought would be boring but it was so tasty. Would love to know how it was prepared. It was quiet on a Sunday night. Very pleasant experience.

friendly, great breakfast and great price, the red, white and blue is my favorite and the bread basket, attentive staff

Our first visit here was with friends and we had 3 incredible desserts (double chocolate mousse with chocolate cake, cheese cake and pancetta with goat cheese) along with good coffee. Wow. We returned for dinner. The cauliflower this was very very different and very good. The kale salad was wonderful. Finally, the was a dish with a number of mushrooms in a mushroom sauce. Again, everything was tasty. There are meat dishes that looked good, but we weren't very hungry. The only disappointment was the bread pudding dessert. It was OK, but not the caliber of the other desserts. It is a big place so there is space between tables. There is constant background noise, but it doesn't get in the way of quiet visiting. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful.

My review will focus on the rooftop bar because I did not eat at the Restaurant. The rooftop bar was recommended by a guy my brother works with, he recommended a restaurant for lunch we enjoyed and he lives nearby. He actually lives so close by my brother called him and he looked down out of his high rise, saw us, and came down to visit. He also stated the food here is good, but as stated we did not eat. The Green Fig rooftop bar is 4 stories up and allows you a wide open space to sit and relax. I do not care much for walking around the crowded NYC sidewalks, waiting for lights and what not. This was a great break from the bustle of the city without going to Central Park.

I recently went to an event there and the place was terrible. Staff was really disorganized and layout of the space was weird. I'm only actually writing this because they said their credit card machines were broken but they charged my card 3 times in the space of 5 minutes. Then I wound up paying cash, and luckily asked for a receipt, because now they won't reverse the charges. I've called at least 10 times in the last two weeks and emailed an employee a picture of my cash receipt. All of the charges (3 credit card, 1 cash) were for the exact same amount and all within a minute or two of each other. Now my credit card company is taking care of it, but they shouldn't have had to even get involved.

Our breakfast was very average: eggs and bacon were good, but sausage and potatoes were overdone. Refills on orange juice were not free, and a glass of OJ barely larger than a shot glass costs $4. The waitress only rolled around a few times, usually after we gave up and grabbed someone else to help us out.

Friends wanted Mediterranean and we found Green Fig on Open Table. What a good find! On the fourth floor of a Japanese-style hotel, this restaurant is spacious, airy, and comfortable. We loved the appetizer of bread, hummus, Tahiti, and pickled veggies. Scallops were the best entree we had. Right around the corner from The Signature Theatre.

We were lucky enough to visit the Green Fig during restaurant week, so we got to taste some delicious items at a Prix Fixe. The Kibbeh Nayyeh was an amazing appetizer - we could have ordered another round! We had the Lamb Siniya (which has some interesting flavors though was a bit chewy), and Pan Seared Salmon which was delicious. The deserts were just as tasty. Breakfast was good, though not as tasty as dinner! We’d definitely go back!

Very nice Mediterranean style place, with a twist. The food was tasty and seem to be made from high quality products and the service was fine!

First the good points: It's very convenient if you're staying at Yotel (it's on the 4th floor) or if you're going to Signature or any of the theaters on 42nd street and want a quick dinner. It's also quiet, which to me is a benefit. The food is so-so. There is a 3 course fixed price dinner, but any of the items can be ordered a la carte. No prices are on the menu for the a la carte ordering. There is also another menu of small plates and sandwiches. We chose the mezze from the small plate menu, followed by hamburgers. If I had realized how generous the mezze was ( $18) I would not have ordered anything else. There are four generous dips and a basket of pita...plenty for two for dinner IMO. The hamburgers that followed were good, but not great and the french fries were hardened as if reheated a few times! Nonetheless, this is convenient and we may stop in again. Service is fine.

Just OK. Had breakfast, 1st morning cold eggs. Late afternoon flatbread pizza at bar - good value $10 combo with beer. Dinner - never got service.

What a great place and super restaurant, also there is the Green Room 42 Jazz Club, how awesome is that place. Awesome shows and talents appear there all the time.. The restaurant offers a very good selection of choices and the preparation is done well. Try not to miss the Green Fig or Green Romm42 when you are in the area...

Shame Yotel has such a poor place to eat breakfast with the restaurant Green Fig. Bread basket was full of stale bread and limp toast. On asking for fresh toast from the server it never arrived. The cooked breakfast consisted of the most chewy sausage, the bacon was over crispy, potatoes tasted as if they had been warmed up from the day before. Scrambled eggs were over cooked. Restaurant manager argued with me, telling me that everything had just been cooked including the completely stale and limp bread basket. As a chef of over 30 years I think I can tell when something is fresh and has just come out of the oven. No refund, just the offer of something else of the menu. If you can't cook toast then the rest of the menu isn't going to be great either. Server was very nice and apologetic. Do yourself a favour and go out for breakfast.

Took my mother to The Green Fig as a pre-Christmas dinner; we had tickets to see a show at The Fig Room. Excellent restaurant, great food, great service, the staff is knowledgeable and always attentive. Zack, our waiter; was very helpful in making some suggestions, I would recommend him if anyone plans to visit this place. You will not be disappointed with your meal.

I stayed at Yotel for a week and after walking for miles exploring New York ended up eating dinner here nearly every night. The first nights I ate on the roof terrace with fairy lights and great views. The last couple of nights the weather turned but the space inside was just as pleasant. Two things kept me coming back. First, the food, which was delicious. I tried various salads, salmon, a burger, flatbread and a very good crème brûlée. Secondly, the staff who, without exception, were charming, friendly and efficient. I was eating solo, and they went out of their way to make me comfortable. So, shout out to Terrence, Kate, Luke, Lauren, the lovely Spanish lady with a cute 2 year old (Caterina) and several others whose names I didn’t catch. Thank you, you made my Grand New York Adventure even better. If you’re in the Hell’s Kitchen area give The Green Fig a try!

When they are good they are pretty good, for example the breakfast is right on and quite fast on service (food in about 5 minutes) once entered into the computer terminal by the waitress. And the chicken schnitzel is pretty good albeit a bit oily. But when they are off you really wonder if it's them or just yourself trying to adapt to a different cuisine. For example the Israeli salad had such a strong vinegar that I could actually feel an ache from the galvanic response between my silver fillings and my metal fork. Also the falafel is bland and missing something; I've had better from street carts. On one occasion there was fine gravel or sand in the arugula used for my pizza.

The food was great, the service also. The plates were really big, so, if order the parfait, try to not order anything else, or share it. The omelet was great and the sanduishes also great. I loved the Orange juice.

Great menu including vegan options. Loved the roasted cauliflower appetizer however it was the size of a meal so it is a shareable app. Great pizzas too!

Had burger in bar at midnight. Service, ambiance, food and communal friendly atmosphere all excellent.

I had their bologanese at the recommendation of my server - homemade pasta with the right amount of sauce. I'm staying at the hotel so it was a convenient spot to grab a late dinner. Good service!

My husband and I went for brunch to the roof top before matinee on Sunday. We were delighted with the space, the set up was lovely and our waiter was delightful, knowledgeable of the menu and eager to serve. However, the food was not up to par. I ordered the crab cake Egg Benedict .The hollandaise sauce had the consistency of mayonnaise and the egg was not poached but almost hard boiled with no juice. When the waiter asked how everything was, I explained and he took it back only to bring what I had left on the plate covered with an over easy egg, not poached. I gave up and ate the over easy egg. Unfortunate because all other elements came together for a lovely brunch in the city.

We stopped in to have a quick lunch and get out of the cold weather while visiting. We ordered a few food items to share and cocktails. They had a nice specialty cocktail menu and the food was great. Our server was very friendly and the service was quick, but it was a quiet day. Would recommend if your in that area.

I was greeted warmly and the server was polite but not much else wemt well. The app and entrée was served one minute apart so my entrée got cold as I hurried through the app. The food news is the coldness of the entrée helped glaring issues with flavor. To make up for bringing the entrée and app at the same time they then left both on my table for almost 10 minutes after I was done eating. This was exasperated by the lack of a beverage. Dessert was a 4 piece of chocolates that tasted like they were plucked from a 5 dollar box of chocolates abandoned more than 10 Valentine's Day ago. The Yotel is a great place to stay just walk - make that run - somewhere else for dinner.

I’m wouldn’t say this is a destination for outstanding food but if you are staying in the Yotel it is a great option. The menu is well balanced and the specials rotate often. What I’ve eaten there has been good and the pricing is reasonably good for the city. After dinner I’d recommend drinks on the roof (also on 4) vs hanging out at the bar.

wonderful choice of music, Bhudda Bar, always a favourite of mine, the Fried Cauliflower a personal favourite,

I would like to start by emphasizing the very good quality of the food and drinks served at this restaurant. However, my experience was severely tarnished by an unfortunate incident involving the restaurant manager, a lady in her fifties with black and gray hair tied back. When another customer took my table, I politely informed the manager that I had been seated first and that such incidents should not occur in an establishment of this caliber. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she overreacted, hurling insults and threats at me as I was preparing to leave the restaurant. I made it clear that her behavior was inappropriate and expressed my intention to report the incident to the management. When I attempted to obtain her name, which she refused to provide, I took a photo of her for to communicate it to her director. Following this, she became even more aggressive, insulting me further, harassing me, and following me to the elevator. She even falsely claimed that I had physically assaulted her and called the hotel’s security to apprehend me. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the rest of the establishment's staff, particularly the front desk manager on duty at that time, who demonstrated great professionalism by recognizing that the manager was not acting rationally and asking her to leave. I am extremely disappointed by this incident and sincerely hope that this is not indicative of how she typically interacts with customers, as it would be a shame for such a beautiful establishment to be associated with such a rude person. Please note that I have recorded this incident. My intention is not to tarnish the reputation of the establishment on social media, but I am willing to share the video with the management for review. Please contact me at reda9622@gmail.com for further details.

I usually make it a point to eat here at least once anytime I'm in NYC. The food is a fusion of Mediterranean and Israeli, and to good effect. There seems to be several sections. A bar area, a main restaurant, and a couple of other sections. I had dinner in the dining area. It's a restaurant with low lighting, tablecloths, etc. This time I had the quinoa and kale salad with chicken, sprinkled with walnuts and pickled cucumbers. Absolutely delicious. As always, the service was good and I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and the meal. I recommend it.

We have eaten at Green Fig two nights in a row. The staff here is very attentive. Great service. Our steak was cooked to perfection. The cocktails are good as well.

Visited here on a Saturday night before heading to a play. The waiter Brian C. was very friendly and went out of his way to find a bottle of the Pinot noir I had wanted. I had the avocado fries to start... I could live on these! For my meal I had the mussels with Israeli cous cous and spinach which was quite delicious. To finish off, honey lavender cream brûlée which was heavenly! I would definitely come back here on another visit!

The best thing about the restaurant is that it was inside Yotel, where I was staying. Food was meh, at best. Our server wasn't super attentive, which I found odd because we were the only ones in the restaurant at 5:00 on a Thursday. It is very convenient if you're staying at Yotel, but my list of positives stops there.

This is a high-end (expensive) restaurant located on the top floor of a hotel so it's a little tricky to find - use the elevator. The place was quite a bit fancier than I was expecting and the prices corresponded. Although the Fig classifies itself as Israeli it has more of a Mid-Eastern look judging by the menu. There is a prix fix menu where you can select 3 courses for a set price. I ordered the mezze appetizer which the waiter said was usually ordered for a table and shared. It came with generous bowls of a roasted tomato dish, hummous, baba ghanouj, tzatiki, yogurt dip, and one or two other dishes. It also came with a generous slice of bread. Shortly into my meal I realized this was a lot of food - all delicious. I finished off my bread and ordered another as I had a lot of dip left. I was told an extra piece of bread was $6; but I ordered it anyway as I couldn't eat the remainder of my meal without more bread. I thanked the waiter for telling my about the extra cost beforehand instead of letting me find out when I got the bill. Anyway the meal was delicious and of good value; but as the waiter had advised me probably better sharing with a bunch of other people as it was more suited as an appetizer than a meal. The 2 Montuak draft beers I had were excellent. Would I go back? Probably not as the menu is not as varied as I'd like and a little pricey and upscale for my particular tastes.

Each year a business organization that I am a member hosts a networking dinner here and this past year was a poor experience. The restaurant didn't appear organized and the prices seem out of control. We all paid the same amount but the package offered included only wine and beer with no cocktails. The previous year's dinners included an actual open bar. I don't think that the organizers should book this place again based on the most recent experience.

We had the classic American dishes, but the menu included a variety of dishes to start the day. The tea service was perfect.

My wife is both gluten and lactose intolerant. As such finding, a suitable restaurant can be difficult. The Manager of this restaurant for dinner went above and beyond to make sure that the chef catered correctly for her and also he tasted the meal before she got it to make sure that it was an exquisite meal. The craft beers were very nice as well. This was followed by a lovely pot of herbal tea. All of the staff were great.

The food was absolutely perfect and quite delicious. Our waiter was an unemployed actor who was wonderful and quite attentive. The price was on the high side but you get what you pay for.

We booked breakfast package ($10/day for two!) at Yotel Hotel and it simply cannot be beat. Choice of 5 or 6 menu selections all leaning towards northern Africa influence but a fruit plate that with the standard bread basket can appease the less adventurous palate. Exemplary service staff. Wonderful contemporary decor. Highly recommend.

Sat at the bar and ordered a glass of the pinot noir - a California wine from The Pinot Project. $10. It was horrible. It was almost effervescent....it came out of a tap like a beer. What happened? I should have sent it back it was so gross. Limited choice of reds by the glass - other option was Malbec. Why such an abbreviated offering? The restaurant and bar are in the Yotel. Surroundings are pleasant enough.

Bad hotel restaurant.... Slow service, very bad cocktails... we actually ordered them, paid for them and didn't drink them... They didn't even ask us why... I don't recommend it.

We stayed at Yotel for ten nights. We had breakfast, brunch and drinks at Green Fig. Typically we do not patronize hotel restaurants. This place is an exception. Their breakfast selection is quite vast. Their brunch items are Mediterranean influenced. Their evening options have flatbreads and traditional fare. Whatever we had was quite satisfying. They have a decent bar scene in the evening and offer happy hour specials. A nice selection of beers and wine on tap. Service is always perky and polite. Special shout outs to Paul, Antonio and Chantelle who do a stellar job. So instead of wandering down 9th Ave give Green Fig a try. You will likely be satisfied.

Chose this place as looked nice. Unhappy with service received. Never, ever will we attend again. Try service with a smile.

Nice cafe/bar/restaurant offering delicious food and great views from the terrace. I stopped there for a breakfast and a lunch and both times were great. Prices are moderate, credit cards are accepted.

I enjoyed dinner with some work colleagues. This has a good vibe for those looking to socialize. I didn't find it loud. Some items are overpriced but you will enjoy. The drinks were delicious and I encourage splurging on the truffle fries.

When I travel to Yotel on business I usually just eat here which is a treat as it's so easy. Service is always impeccable and on this trip it was spectacular. In this version of the menu a few things were not to my liking (too complicated) but there are always good options here to count on. No need to leave Yotel. Breakfast options are fantastic and different!

Came in to hang at a roof top & get a few appetizers. The food was pretty decent & the drinks were very good as well. The view is beautiful even though it was only on the 4th floor. If you looking to hangout with a few drinks & decent apps are I would recommend. Don’t expect a five star restaurant but def worth it. The manager George & the waitress Stephanie were very accommodative & attentive to getting what we asked for even though it was closed already. They went above and beyond to make us happy. Great service.

the food was very good, we tried new flavors and liked it. the bbq was awesome, as well as the mushroom dish. service was on point and we had a lot of 7$ glasses of wine.

We were going you see a show nearby and decided to have a drink and a few apps. We shared the fried cauliflower which ch was tender yet crispy. The drizzle of some kind of green yogurt sauce was creamy and added such a nice flavor. We then shared the sample mezze which included hummus, tahini, yogurt and babaganough. Beyond yummy. And the flat bread had a lovely herb salt flavor. We also got the quinoa salad which was good but nothing great. We were so full. There was also a nice selection of wine by the glass. I also liked the clean airy decor. And the service was good. My only negative comment is that it’s so far west. It’s a few long blocks from the nearest train. Food is really good. Too bad the location is so inconvenient.

All four of us chose different entrees items from the dinner menu and we all loved everything-we shared/tried the dishes, the chef does it right!. The beverages were very good too. Really beautiful roof top experience. Great service. Chic patrons. As somewhat discerning foodies from Chicago, we completely loved it! Thank You Mr. Scott Hall for allowing us to choose great seating. Green Fig was by far, our favorite restaurant in Manhattan. It is a must do if you are visiting the Hell's Kitchen area!

The Green Fig serves very good Mediteranian fusion food. You actually can taste it in every bite. The service is professional and pleasant. The ambiance is nice and welcoming. Recommended!

Mediteranian style breakfast like with feta cheese and cumin etc. Not a big selection, but they did have regular eggs/bacon/potatoes as well.

We arrived late, tired and v. Hungry; only the pizza man was still cooking at 11.30pm, we were told. Not expecting much, but needing fuel, we ordered. Have to be v. Nearly the best pizza ever - freshly prepared, loads of topping, crisp base... and, for New York, reasonably priced.

I was staying at the Yotel and popped by Green Fig after a busy day and not inclined to head back out and about. I ordered calamari and a potato caesar salad with added falafel and cheese cake for dessert. The calamari was a modest portion but fantastically well prepared, deliciously grilled and definitely worth the try. It may have been the tastiest calamari I ever had, though I wish there was a little more of it. The potato caesar salad was a perfect portion size and also quite good. I was glad I added the falafel as it went really well with the salad. The dressing was very tasty and an appropriate amount, with real bacon :) I've never had (or heard of!) a potato caesar salad but if I see one on a menu I'll give it a go again. The cheesecake was also delicious and a very large slice. I tried to power through it all but just couldn't do it. Next time I will finish it all. The price was Manhattan reasonable, the decor modern, and the atmosphere was subtle. The table service service was top notch: efficient and friendly. There are a lot of places to eat, of course, when I visit NYC so I may never be back but if I ended up there again I wouldn't be disappointed. :)

We dined at the Green Fig in the Yotel. The cod over their signature salad was delicious. The side of Brussels sprouts is so good. Service was great, prices reasonable, & ambiance was upscale and fun. We will return for sure!

Very pleasant atmosphere and the server was extremely hospitable. Food was mediocre and quite high priced. I suggest hitting the street for breakfast. French toast was quite a disappointment and omelette was OK but not for the price.

The best meal we 've had in New York... Absolutely fresh, normal prices, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.

We ate breakfast here bc it was in our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was great! Services was always friendly and consistent.

Booking a party of 16 on a Friday night in Manhattan is typically a stressful and difficult endeavor. Not with Green Fig. From my first call I realized this restaurant is much friendlier and more flexible than most other places. Christian, who took my reservation, was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. When we showed up, we were kindly offered seating on their covered patio next to the roof deck, just off the Yotel hotel lobby on the 4th floor, which was wonderful. Great ambiance. Our server, Stefan, was top notch. He was quick, professional, funny and extremely patient with our large party. He had no problem keeping our checks separate. We spent well over an hour just enjoying cocktails and walking around talking in the highly flexible and social covered patio area. When we got to ordering food, I was impressed with the menu and greatly enjoyed the delicious lamb and vegetable kabob meal. The salad with fennel was extremely fresh and delicious, and the kabobs were fabulous. Everybody in my party loved the food they ordered. Their portions are generous, prices are fair, and quality is excellent. Some of my guests were "high maintenance" and asked for adjustments to the accompaniments of their dishes, and Stefan handled that with a smile and very accommodating attitude. The cocktails were creative, complex and delicious. My only constructive criticism is that serving wine in small water glasses is really cheesy. At least go for stemless wine glasses to improve the wine drinking experience. I will definitely return here, and likely will stay at the Yotel, which looked very cool and whose employees were extremely friendly.

I stayed at Yotel and dined here yesterday. The atmosphere was awesome. The food was bland and a burnt half of my steak. Didn’t offer to remake it or any compensation. I was highly disappointed based on the reviews.

Had dinner with my husband. Food and presentation were amazing. We tried a lot of different things. It was really good. Will recommend to all my friends for sure. The most important thing I liked about the restaurant its customer experience. I would love to say again thank you to OLGA. Very professional, very high standards of the hospitality industry which is really good. I am so happy that Green fig has her as a manager and I wish to Olga best of luck. Will be back soon and I hope to see Olga again.

Very good restaurant in new york... Food really great and a perfect service to enjoy the us nights...

Top notch. Excellent food & service. Breakfast was great. Opted for plain old 2 over easy with bacon. Hot fresh & FAST ! Don’t miss the $10 beer & Pizza Happy Hour.

We ate twice, once for lunch at the outside restaurant, and once for dinner. The food was quite tasty, with a good selection. Probably arrived a bit late for dinner - the service was on the slow side and the fried cauliflower, though tasted wonderful, was mainly tough stalks and very few florets, (had they sold out and only had stalks?). Server was quite friendly.

Perfect place for Mediterranean fare near the Signature Theatre. We love coming here before or after a show. The mezze and the friend cauliflower are our very favorite. Friendly and efficient service.

Located inside Yotel, this restaurant is the best place to start your day. Even if you didn't buy the breakfast package at the hotel, you can still eat for $10-$14. Several options from full American to fruit plate. The food was always cooked perfectly, to order, and served quickly. Nice, friendly and competent waitstaff.

The pina colada special was super tasty. Service was inattentive though. The ambience is nice. Very pleasant.

Lovely setting, friendly staff and reasonable food. Go there for the setting, the views of NYC and the fun atmosphere.

Green Fig is special in every way that a restaurant should be. The pasta and fish dishes were seasoned uniquely and perfectly, the Mezze appetizer had variety and was a complimented by warm seasoned pita bread. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and very pleasant from our seating, to our special dietary request, to our rush out the door to make an early curtain. The environment is comfortable, stylish and modern. The restaurant's location a few steps from 42nd Street on Tenth Avenue is convenient for pre-theater and walking distance from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. Both my partner and I will return again and will encourage all our friends to give it a try.

WE STAYED AT YOTEL AND HAD BUFFET BREAKFAST EVERY DAY IN ADDITION WE HAD A DINNER THE FIRST NIGHT UPON ARRIVAL AND ALL WAS FANTASTIC EVERY ONE OF THE GROUP PARTY LIKED EVERY MEAL , THE PLACE WAS NICE AND CLEAN , WORKING STAFF VERY HELPUL AND FRIENDLY SO WE ALL LOVED IT SEE YOU AROUND AND ENJOY YOUR MEAL. A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE MANAGER , A NIVE GUY FROM ARGENTINA BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER HIS NAME , SORRY , CIAO CIAO NICO

Very good place where to eat in new york... good food and a perfect service to enjoy your meal... good price

There are not many dining option near the Javits Center and fewer still that take reservations. We decided to try Green Fig for brunch on a recent Sunday. At 11:00am, the restaurant was not full and we were seating promptly. It took quite some time for our server to appear to take our order. My companion ordered a Bloody Mary and I ordered a Mimosa. There was another long delay before my drink was delivered. Oddly, my companion's drink was not delivered at the same time....in fact, the Bloody Mary did not appear for another 10 minutes. I chose the Shakshouka as my entree and my companion ordered the Avocado Toast and a side order of fries. My Shakshouka arrived barely warm. The eggs on top of the Avocado Toast were cold, the avocado was stone cold and the bread was not at all toasted. The only positive thing I can say is that the fries arrived hot and were tasty. We called over the server and sent back the Avocado Toast. The second iteration was only marginally better- the eggs were warm but the avocado was still cold and although the bread now had grill marks, it still had not been properly toasted. The coffee served at the end of the meal was hot and very good. Although the manager comped us our drinks, this good will gesture cannot compensate for the slow service and sub-par execution of both dishes. Next time, we'll forgo the reservations and wait on line at Friedmans.

We eat here nearly every month before a show at The Signature or Playwrights Horizons. Love the Meza Plate, Cauliflower appetizer. Very pleasant and helpful service. Great parking in the basement. Busy hotel lobby is the only problem.

Very attractive restaurant with good food at prices reasonable for NYC. Not noisy so nice place to visit.

Great event space and easy access for visitors from the street. Could use larger screens for presentations but otherwise the staff and facilities were good for our event.

Atmosphere was nice but they could use a lesson in breakfast done right. We decided to eat within the hotel as it was easier before we ventured out into the city our first morning but we left hungry. Coffee was horrible so strong no amount of sweetener or milk helped :( eggs were the runniest i ever saw homestyle potatoes were soggy and more red and green peppers than actual potatoes. Only good part was the bacon.

Great place! My family and I originally intended to go to the Rustic Table for Brunch (on Sunday). Looked up wait times in Google Maps which said, “No wait.” However, by the time we arrived there, around 11:30am, the place was packed (it is small) and they told us 35-45 min wait for a party of 4. We were pressed for time, therefore, we immediately googled the closest place for brunch. The Green Fig showed up. It looked spacious, nice, and only a 3 min. walk. We immediately headed there and, at first, couldn’t see it on the street. It was because it is in the fourth floor of the Yotel. We were presently surprised coming off the elevator. The place had a beautiful chic and modern style. And the hostesses greeted us very courteously. Our server Andreana was superb - very friendly and helpful. We had the Greek Omelette, the Brioche Benedict, and the Egg White Frittata. The presentation of the food was outstanding and the taste delicious!!! The prices were very reasonable for a hotel restaurant and the quality of the food. Definitely an outstanding find! I will definitely be back!

I stayed at the Yotel recently and had a drink at the bar of the Green Fig. I did not have anything to eat and only had a drink. The bartender was very pleasant and nice. They have great prices at happy hour. They even have 3$ martinis! She explained to me that they make them with rose water but I told her I would have something else since I did not like that particular taste. She was so nice and offered to make it some other way that would be more to my liking. She went out of the way for a 3$ martini and it is to her honor. She prepared it like she was charging me 15$! I only stayed there for 2 nights but if I had stayed longer I would have gone back for the happy hour surely!

We had dinner here on our last night after staying at the Yotel for 6 nights. As we wanted a light meal, the waitress recommended a Mediterranean type salad. I found it to be very tasty. Also had a lovely glass of red wine. The waitress was knowledgeable regarding the menu, she was also bright and cheerful, engaging us in conversation about our accents. The meals were delivered in a timely manner. I would definitely go to this restaurant again if we return to New York.

This is actually the "POSH" restaurant at The Yotel, which I have just reviewed. However should you not be a Yotelier, this is a good place for a pre theatre meal. Clean/efficient and reasonably priced.

We bought the Gilt promo for two, and we changed our reservation to 3. Before we ordered 3 different employees reconfirmed we had a Gilt for 2- awkward! The tzakiki, hummus, eggplant were all very bland and not helped with the rolled flat bread that was dry and chewy. The carrot steak presentation was nice but nothing special although it was my favorite item. The chicken had an overwhelming amount of seasoning on top; it looked like a dense grassy lawn that was charred, and it was not enjoyable. We had said that we were going to a show and needed to leave no later than 7:30. When we received our main courses at 7:15, I said I wanted our dessert and check right away. At 7:40, we left after a delay with the bill and no dessert to be seen. We will not be returning.

Felt comfortable here as a solo eater. Mediterranean dishes are more unusual than the the typical menu elsewhere. Nice seating, light and bright atmosphere. Signature Theatre suggested this place and offered a free glass of wine with a Signature ticket. The wait staff seemed unfamilitar with that, but the manager said OK and offered a glass (not a very generous one, but....)

We had a nice lunch here while staying in yotel. I had salad and my other half had a burger. Service was quick and the server was polite. We had a reasonably priced larger as it was happy hr.

The big problems were: Waited forever for soup spoon... when it arrived it was dirty...waited forever to replace it. I finally had to go to the bar to get one We ordered dessert at the beginning of the meal. When they brought out the desserts they brought a different one-they had run out of the requested one and made an assumption. When I went to pull my chair in, there was something sticky on the underside... The steak was fatty and not of top quality in my partners opinion. There was way too kuchbcilantro in the delicate eggplant lentil dish. The cheesecake was horribly dry. All that said, the food looked lovely and was inexpensive for nyc

Went there for dinner the other night- what a great spot! Great for lounging by the bar with drinks or to sit down for dinner. It is nice and spacious, not crowded so enough room to breathe which is rare for the city restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was very good. Would definitely recommend this place for a date.

I am in two minds. The venue is ok but shares an entrance with a Yotel which sort of gives you the vibe and there is access to a funky looking roof terrace. The service was friendly, the menu was small but with enough variety that most people would find something they like. To start with I enjoyed my steak. Until I discovered it was sat on a hair which was embedded in the sauce. I actually really enjoyed those 4 mouthfuls and then ‘nooooooooo’. The waitress took the plate away and said they wouldn’t charge me! I was going straight to the airport so didn’t have time to order another meal. Therefore - I would have enjoyed the food if it wasn’t for the hair (that steak really was delicious) but my overall experience was clearly poor as I left hungry. My fellow travellers would have given it 3 stars.
Mediterranean Restaurant with Great Menu
We were going to see a play at the Signature Theater and thought the menu of the Green Fig looked inviting. It was also located between 42nd and 41st Street in the Yotel, which is a very cool looking hotel! The restaurant is on the 4th floor of the hotel in a very spacious setting. It’s quiet and the service staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful. We shared three appetizers: an incredibly delicious salad with Zataar encrusted pita bread, King Oyster mushrooms and a fried Cauliflower topped with an amazing sauce! Apparently this restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so it’s with trying and their prides were incredibly reasonable! We plan on returning very soon!
