Delicious and fairly reasonable (for NYC)

By HonestEvaluator |

We had dinner at this restaurant in Hudson Yards on a weekday evening. The restaurant was pretty crowded, but we had a reservation at 7 and were promptly seated. For an appetizer, we shared the beets with crispy chickpeas (excellent) and for our separate entrees, we had the rotisserie chicken and salmon in lemon sauce. Both were exceptionally good. One small note to mention is that while our servers were all very friendly, the overall service was a little slow (there was quite a long wait between appetizer and entrees). Because we were in no hurry, it was not an issue for us, but it was noticeable. This is one of chef Dan Kruger’s restaurants, and we are also a fan of his Loring Place restaurant in the West Village.

A wonderful restaurant at Hudson Yards

Creative and delicious food -, like my grilled romaine Caesar salad topped with cornmeal crusted crispy oysters. We appreciated gracious and helpful service and brought home some excellent and not-too-sweet sesame ginger cookies from the Greywind bakery next door.

Somewhere special!

No words are good enough to describe the wonderful evening we had here! The food was exceptional, and the service was even better. The staff were phenomenal, they couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. The food was some of the best food we have ever eaten. Greywind made a very special night for us even more special and we will recommend to everyone we know!!

Loved it.

Had a spectacular meal at Greywind. Everything was delicious, creative, and prepared superbly. I’m a vegetarian and had the best veg main of my life (the grilled broccoli - really). My carnivore friends loved their proteins. Service was terrific - attentive but not intrusive. There was a birthday in our group and they very kindly brought him a special dessert. Highly recommend!

Disappointing experience

The Greywind in NYC has a disappointing dining experience. The service was very slow, with long waits for food and drinks. The menu is also quite overpriced for the quality of the dishes. The "au par" fare is not worth the high prices, with small portions and mediocre flavors.
