Gawd awful service!!!

By David M |

My wife and I sat at the bar today, arriving around 3pm today for a few drinks and an appetizer. Nice place from an atmosphere perspective, great selection of beers, and a good location. It goes downhill from here. The place was not busy while we were there, and there were about 4 bartenders standing around chatting and in their own worlds. Getting anyone to provide service truly appeared to be an inconvenience to the staff. No one would check on us or acknowledge us, and one bartender that walked in front of us maybe 20 times but never made eye contact or ever asked if we needed anything. I had to wave my arm on multiple occasions just to ask for the basics...plates, silverware, salt, etc. This is by far the worst ‘team effort” lack of service I’ve experienced in years. I won’t be back.

Great place for a nice dinner or just appetizers

By BeReal1977 |

It was located a block from my hotel and checked out.. Ordered the Cuban which was good and the drinks were good as well.. The bartender at the outside bar was very friendly to a solo traveler.. It was somewhere clean, safe and fun to eat at

Skyline-Bar

By Laura A |

The roof top bar has a beautiful view of downtown Dallas, especially at night time. Valet has great service and doesn't take too long in retrieving your car. The best time to arrive for the upstairs bar, not food, is 9ish. After 9pm expect to stand in line to get upstairs. Music upstairs offers a chill atmosphere, The food downstairs is great and there's variety to choose from. You can find people dressed in both semi casual and semi formal dress code. Definitely recommend it!

Rip Off

By ChopperBenny |

Low quality drinks at high price. $13.00 for vodka. $9.00 for regular draft. Service sucks. Too much Smoking on upper level. Charge $500.00 to use an area with a couch. Great if u want low quality at high price.

My Birthday Celebration

By msdawson0761 |

This is such a cool place to visit. We had a large part of 20, and everyone had a wonderful time. Food and cocktails were great. We sat on the patio area where there was a nice breeze for a summer night out watching the Dallas skylights. Can't wait to go back.

Stingy on the Guac

By D S |

First time at Happiest Hour. Probably the last time. While the concept is cool and the space is ideal for brunching.... It's too loud, too crowded and the service shows. I can get over slow service on a busy day.... But I can't get over literally a spoon full of guac and spoon full of sour cream on your "famous" nachos. The small metal ramekin was not even a fourth full. We called out server over to inquire and he said to or amazement "oh that's how it's supposed to come. I can get you more but it's $2" (for a spoon full again I assume). Don't tout in your menu that your "famous nachos" come with guac and sour cream when they in fact do no. You cannot consider a spoonful an actually serving for nachos. There is literally enough for one chip in each ramekin. We won't be back.

LOVE THIS PLACE

By bertshowbert |

Super close to the hotel I was staying in and right next to the Arena. People are friendly. View at sunset was great. Food was really really good. Not typical bar food. Can get a little pretentious at the bar from time to time. But, overall, super great place.

Fun spot but wait!!

By Travel-a-holic |

It definitely is a fun spot with a great vibe, but you’re definitely going to have to wait to get a drink if they’re busy at all. Service is slow. The food is ok. Of course we were there on a very busy night before a concert this visit. The last time we were there we just stop by there just to check it out, and it was very busy as well. Not some or you want to go if you’re in a hurry. One or two activities outdoors... outdoor seating as well

$14 for work d’à smallest cocktail

By KimGetIt |

The Happiest Hour is billed as one of Dallas’ best rooftop bars. Rooftop is a stretch. It’s barely 2 stories off the ground. You can pay $14 plus tax and tip for the smallest cocktail imaginable. Skip it.

Odd policies

By Travellover6128 |

I visited here one weekday afternoon, with a colleague in professional business dress and the security guard on the door stopped us and searched every single item in our bag and carrying luggage. This was very strange, took a long while and was not happening to other women or visitors. Then before we ordered we were asked to show that we had the means to pay. Eg give them a credit card. I have no issue with this when opening a tab, but to ask how I am paying before I have even ordered a drink is super strange. Added to that the red wine was freezing cold. Would not visit again.

Best New Bar

By Cara C |

It really IS the happiest hour here! Huge interior and exterior space. Great upstairs patio with heaters in the winter with a nice view of the Dallas skyline. Drinks are pricey, but they're unique and really good. Food is also really good! Some beers/wine are not available upstairs and you'll have to go downstairs to order.

Good, strong drinks

By JohnDavidCohea |

We usually stop here when we’re in town for hockey games. Bartenders don’t cheat you on alcohol when serving drinks—you actually feel like you get your money’s worth when ordering a double. Good atmosphere inside and outside.

midnight after a concert

By JLanceP1361 |

This is a really cool indoor/outdoor bar. If you have poor hearing like me, you'll want to be outside away from the speakers, but there's plenty of room and plenty of places to sit and visit. Lots of conversation pits, 2 outdoor bars. All in the setting of downtown skyscrapers. 2 blocks from The W Hotel and American Airlines Center.

Fantastic Patio

By jimmieglorioso |

This was an excellent location for happy hour. Short walking distance to the American Airlines Center. The drinks were good, the service was above par, and the patio was monstrous.

Standout Atmosphere

By MerriMK |

We were in town for a Fencing tournament. My Son's coach chose this spot. Very young professionals crowd. Music and TVs going, not too loud though. Great Outdoor Space upstairs. Drinks were yummy, service decent but not southern friendly. Food was good. My favorite thing was the push pop, I had the blood orange flavor. It seemed to be a great mingle spot. Dress is business to casual. We all enjoyed our experience at Happiest Hour. I would recommend but more for young or young at heart professionals or business travelers. Not really the best for families, although we did enjoy it. Valet parking is free. Almost but not impossible to avoid.

Happy Hour with a view!

By Jason A |

I came in to take advantage of the happy hour. They offer some pretty good deals. This place is massive, offering a large lower indoor area with a covered patio, as well as an upper seating area with a deck. The views are great overlooking part of the downtown area. I had their calamari for an appetizer and their burger for an entree. The calamari was great! It was lightly breaded and not overly salty which is the mistake many places make. The burger was also very good. The jalapeños were a nice compliment to the burger. I know there are a ton of places to go in Dallas, so the competition is stiff. However, I would recommend giving this place a try if you already haven't.

It’s a party spot!

By WNYbonnie |

We were there for the NCAA tourney! This is a huge property and very unique location. Great rooftop area along with a very large outdoor area. Highly recommend for the social end of your Dallas visit. We did not get any food so I can not comment on that but the people we were around had great burgers!

Happy Happy

By Helen C |

Excellent distance to the American Airlines where we were going to see Lady Gaga. FYI if you park there, you can leave vehicle there till after the show so no worries about paying for extra parking. Drinks and food were delicious. Decor instead was modern with a touch of old school. Would definitely go back.

Newest Bar/Club/lounge

By KCExplorer77 |

This is the newest bar/lounge in Dallas. The view is awesome and its very trendy. The only issue is the price for drinks..omg dont get me started but again its a nice experience. Going there again tonight for NYE

Fun for New Years!

By Bailey E |

I've been to Happiest Hour twice. Most recently for their New Years Eve shindig. It was crazy packed but still fun. It's a nice, easy atmosphere. Food is good.

The Glitz and glamor failed to deliver on food and drink

By Christopher C |

Somebody put a monstrous amount of $ into this place, to turn it in to one of the hottest "to be seen" spots in Uptown Dallas .... and I used to live here .... but dammit, in spite of good service, not only were our drinks simply weak, if not watered down during the peak of happy hour (and we took care of our waitress .... ), the appetizers were downright sorry, especially the very hard to screw up, brisket queso nachos, which where nothing more than morsels mixed in with canned cheap queso, and a small portion of stale chips to top it off .... Disappointing to say the least .... We decided to pass on dinner or other food options .... Maybe I should give it another shot, but its hard to make that call after such a disappointing visit, in spite of all the glamour of a high powered location and venue ....

Great outdoor space

By Sarah K |

This is a cool place to hang out, but the service was slow for those of us sitting outside on a Friday night. We had some sliders that were average, but the loaded waffle fries were delicious!

One of my favourite places in Dallas

By Juan R |

I've been here many times it never disappoints, good food and attention. Not so expensive. I always come during the night, there are beautifull woman.

Delicious Drinks with a Great View!!!

By cbbct |

My husband and I stopped into Happiest Hour during our recent trip to Dallas & we absolutely loved it! We sat on the rooftop & had drinks. The view was beautiful, the drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was great, the staff was super friendly, & the service was great! We could've sat there all day! We will definitely be back if we are ever back in Dallas!!!

Sunday brunch with friends and family.

By Judy L |

Arrived @ 12:00 with a group of 13 ppl. Wasn't too busy and was immediately seated. After visiting for a while we ordered our appetizers and entrees. Appetizers came and went, waited over almost an hour for our entrees. When they finally did arrive the 3 ppl that ordered grilled cheese with tomato basil soup were told that they were out of clean spoons and were not offered another option, this was by the runner not our waitress. I was served my salad, which I ordered with chicken, without chicken. Was told by our waitress that they forgot to put the chicken and asked if she should put the order in. I was so put out I just said forget it. One of our friends called over a manager and asked him how he'd like to eat his soup with a fork. He looked appalled but in the interim someone in our group went to the bar and asked for "to go" plastic silverware so they could eat their soup with a spoon. When the manager was asked if they were having problems in the kitchen he became very defensive and almost combative. It was disgraceful for a manager to react with the horrible attitude he had. Needless to say the restaurant had nice ambiance they did give us 50% off our bill, food was decent but I will not go back. Management was rude and that just left a bad taste in my mouth!

Before a Stars game on a beautiful evening!

By bodhi0916 |

Outdoor part before a Stars game was so much fun! Service was not great but I am not sure they expected such a big outdoor crowd. I loved it ... the food we finally got was good. A great steak sandwich although the shrimp rolls left a little to be desired. I would think they may have expected a crowd outside at 70 degrees but only 1 server for all those people. Service at the bar was good. A great place for pregame beers on a nice day!!

For me at least, it did not live up to the hype

By Randy Thompson |

I had such high hopes about Happiest Hour, had heard so much about it from so many of my friend and co-workers. In fact, my admin insisted I take my team there for lunch. So I did. Granted, the lunch scene is no doubt different from the bar scene before or following a Stars game, and maybe that is clouding my opinion. That said, I was there at lunch and what I found was a very middle of the road experience. Yes, the decor and feel of the place was great. The menu had plenty of variety, the portions were all respectable, and the service was fine. But honestly, there was nothing special about the place so far as I was concerned. Given a choice, I would walk around the corner and go to Mercat Bistro.

The Crappiest Hour

By MurrayBurke |

The Crappiest Hour has food that is merely okay...not horrible, but not good. The problem tonight was servers who are not focused on the guest. Steffan is slow. Slow in service and slow in attentiveness. Took a good 20 minutes for him to get around to taking our food order. And it wasn't that busy. After the food runner brought our entrees, we desperately needed refills. No Steffan, no manager on the floor. A waitress nearby was rearranging napkins on a table. When I got her attention and asked if she could please find Steffan, she acted inconvenienced and went back to rearranging napkins. Ten minutes later, Steffan shows up asking what he can do...oblivious to the empty glasses on the table. At this point, I asked him to guess what the problem was. It took him two tries. When I asked him to bring the check, he proceeded to take a food order from a huge table. It took another 10 minutes to get the check. We asked for a to-go container, another ten minutes. He never apologized for his slow service or lack of attention. A lot of the employees at this restaurant seemed more focused on socializing with each other, hugging, and giving shoulder rubs. The guests are merely an afterthought. Having managed restaurants myself, I recognize this as the result of poor hiring standards and management that is disengaged. I don't recommend the Crappiest Hour and I will not return.

Wonderful View

By ThorntonNYC |

Great views of the downtown Dallas skyline. Even though it was Saturday and a full house we were able to move around and the wait for service was reasonable. Loved the comfy seats on the roof patio.

Great patio

By ehaetzel |

Very close to the American Airlines Center. We had an early dinner there. The food is not exceptional but ok. Service has room for improvement. The outside sitting is very nice.

Outdoor patio, drinks, appetizers a do not miss in downtown Dallas, TX

By Rhett L |

If you want a great club-like experience on a huge outdoor deck (multiple levels), sit outdoors casually with friends or coworkers, or just hang-out at one of the several bars, this is your place. Great people watching and views of Dallas downtown skyline. Appetizers are worth a look. Great beer selection.

Valet for the win

By Getaway08049044762 |

Came in for a stars game and the atmosphere was live. Only thing there was no public parking but the valet guys took great care of me and my guys.

The best place in Dallas

By Dee |

I love happiest hour so much and I’ve been going there for almost 3 years and I never get bored of it. For me it’s the best place in dallas, the vibe, the food, the people and everything else is fantastic

Not the happiest hour of my day

By Travel-a-holic |

After reading the last review, I should've read it before I went. The reviewer was correct in saying the drinks cocktails looked inviting on the menu, however, they are a disappointment. I had the "guns up" I tend to feel that I am a cocktail enthusiast. I love trying different concoctions everywhere I go. This particular cocktail eluded to the fact that it had jalapeños, vodka, basil, lemon juice, and egg whites. The only thing I could taste was water down lemon juice and egg whites. No basil, no jalapeños, and definitely not vodka. it was a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! After about two sips, my drink just sat there waiting on the bartender that greeted us and took our order to check on us. She never did. Unfortunately, some other guy asked if we were, OK, before I even taken a drink. My husband completed his beer while I was still waiting to exchange my cocktail. That never happened. Finally my husband called a guy over to get our tab and told him. At that point he offered to make me another drink, but I was over it. The sad thing is we had two hours before we had to be to the airport and that's where we were going to spend our time. Lucky for the next venue we traded places!! It's really too bad when owners have a vision of a really cool place, however it's not pulled off 100%. The place looks beautiful, but the drink was ugly.

Great beer selection

By Bob M |

Prior to hockey game stopped in for a beer. Great selection- highly recommend- food looked great bur did not taste- has valet parking as well.

Fun!

By Aneisha R |

Visited with a few friends. Atmosphere is pretty cool. Music, food and drinks, a great place to hang out with friends on a friday night. It was super crowded but that is expected on a friday night I guess. We didnt get a chance to eat because of the wait time but we went upstairs to the bar. Bar was also full but luckily a waitress took our order. That was really nice. Would return!

Good burger

By NoraK22 |

We had an early brunch/lunch here on a rainy Sunday morning so we did not get to experience the outdoor areas which looked like they would be fun places to have a drink. The service was a bit slow and had some challenges but it seemed as though our waitress may have been a trainee. The atmosphere was modern and had a Texas industrial vibe. My husband enjoyed the Happy Burger and the Texas Toast Grilled Cheese was tasty though I could have done with the Texas toast being a bit thinner (I know it is supposed to be thick). The tomato soup was good. Everyone else also seemed to enjoy their meals, some from the main menu and some from the brunch menu. I would like to try Happy Hour at Happiest Hour on a nice sunny day.

Nothing amazing here

By Its a mario |

I wasn't fond of the ambiance here nor any of the staff that served us. Looks really nice but that's all

Top Work Happy Hour Location

By Tierney J |

Happiest Hour is a great after-work spot with coworkers after a long week. The drinks are a little expensive once you get into specialty cocktails, but otherwise affordable!

Rooftop Bar

By KewlKlep |

Good, upscale/trendy bar. Good beer selection and atmosphere from the rooftop bar of the city skyline.

Great Mixology!

By Here2Sea |

This is a place similar to what you'd find in L.A. by way of outside lounge area with on trend decor and music. The rooftop has a spectacular view and it's well cooled by fan systems. A really enjoyable atmosphere. The bartenders are very good here. They are able to mix a very delicious drink. Not everyone can achieve creativity with a balance of taste eliminating the too sour or too sweet aspect. These guys get it right every time. Very talented. Great place!

Lil Curt and Rock

By Curtis B |

We had a awesome time ! Enjoyed the BBQ wings and loaded fries. Ribs and potato Salad. The drinks were awesome not very expensive

Great place to hang out with friends.

By El H |

A friend of mine told me about this place that just opened in the Harwood district. So we decided to try it out for some drinks and a cigar since they had an outdoor second level that overlooked the city. To be honest we did not eat there so my 5 Star rating is based on my experience, atmosphere, location, complimentary valet parking, size of the restaurant and customer service. The only thing that I didn't like about the Happiest Hour is that it has a community atmosphere so you will probably be sharing your dining experience with another couple sitting next to you at the same table. I don't like that personally when I am having a date night. When I go out with my wife, it's with her and not some strangers. But, they can probably accommodate that also. Like I mentioned before, we did not eat there. We spent our time on the second level and it was beautiful. We had some drinks and met some other people as well. Oh, did I mention complimentary valet parking. This place is awesome. Keep in mind we did not eat here so I can't rate food or value.

Cool atmosphere- great calamari!

By Greg P |

We came by for a late night getaway while on Spring Break. Great atmosphere with a big city vibe but still welcoming. The drinks were awesome we got some calamari- WOW!

Great atmosphere

By Alaster83 |

We are dallas natives but don't get out much. This was a pretty neat spot . Great music, decent service , and food wasn't too bad . The drinks are expensive, in my opinion , but we're unique and delicious. I really liked their signature drinkers were named after local attractions and popular colleges- I had the Aggie one. Hubs and I ordered the loaded waffle fries , loved them especially since they are made with melted cheese. I would recommend going to this establishment right before sunset or even earlier . The view is of downtown Dallas is amazing !!! Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy it because it was too cold and too dark. We will be back. Pictured is the Aggie drink , waffle fries , grilled cheese and tomatoe basil soup , and the Cuban with and side salad.

Cool spot

By annieb40 |

This large, indoor outdoor venue has a cool industrial/Austin vibe. the outside space would make it a super fun place to be after work with friends. We ate lunch here and the food and service were top notch.

Great Food! Great Location.

By Lateefah F |

My friends and I were visiting Dallas for a couple days and stopped by Happiest Hour for lunch. We sat outside on the patio area by the large TVs. It was a Monday so it was pretty empty. The location is very nice and spacious with an upstairs, patio, sand/bench area, and inside seating. I was surprised with how good the food was. It definitely wasn't basic sports bar food. I had the Froze (Frozen Rose) and turkey burger with fries, and enjoyed every bit of it. My friends had the wings and said they were pretty good as well. I would go back if I'm ever in Dallas again.

Amazing ambiance

By Antonio M |

This is a must visit if you are in Dallas. Great rooftop amazing beer selection and a very lively crowd

After a busy day at a conference

By Deana S |

Went to the happiest hour two evening in a row. Great place to hang out with firends. Games outside and a cool rough top deck.

Rename this place the "Unhappiest" Hour!

By Kathryn G |

Group of ten out for dinner and drinks. Put our name on the wait list and waited for a confirmation text. After TWO hours of waiting, drinking at the outside bar, spending money, they texted our table was ready. We responded "ok", gathered our things, and walked to the hostess desk. It took us 4 minutes to do this! Got to the desk and were told they gave our table to next on list because we took too long to get there! SERIOUSLY! They said " sorry, we only give you ten minutes." Well, we had proof,as text messages are time stamped, that it only took us 4! I guess they expected us to wait at the desk. NOT! How rude! Will NEVER go back there!

Private Party with Class

By CocoaBeachFoodEE |

I attended a recent private party that reserved the entire restaurant. One would expect a good experience, however, Happiest Hour provided excellent food, awesome bartenders, engaging and fun staff...all with a touch of class. The live music in their patio section was energetic and very good. I did not have time to sit and casually dine, however, I will return on my next trip to Dallas. Great job team Happiest Hour.

Post-Museum Drinks

By Marla P |

Enjoyed sitting on patio reflecting upon our visit to the Museum of Illusions Dallas and planning what we were going to do on Friday night. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT - THERE IS NO HAPPY HOUR ON FRIDAYS!!! wtf???

Great outdoor space!

By jeanbm |

Stopped by here for a beer before the game at the arena. It was a beautiful day and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space! Did not eat any food here, but it all looked delicious!

Doing EVERYTHING right!

By Gary & Aimee |

HH was recommended to us 40-somethings by a 20-something. We arrived a couple of hours before a Saturday Mavs game, without a reservation and only had about a fifteen minute wait (though I recommend reservations). The bar had quick, efficient service and a great selection of our go-to drinks...beer and tequila. We had wine with dinner and also a nice selection. The menu is an eclectic bar menu. We had dinner in mind; not burgers and/or sandwiches. HOWEVER, we went ahead and ordered and were very pleasantly surprised. We started with chips and queso and for dinner ordered a BLT, grilled chicken sandwich with cole slaw and tempura green beans sides. The food was excellent. Green beans a must try! Service was exceptional the entire time. It is a bar atmosphere and it is LOUD. We had a hard time hearing our server and ourselves, but we did enjoy it. We look forward to returning in warmer weather to enjoy the patio and outside area where hopefully it is not so loud (coming from a 40-something). Best of luck to this new business...they have laid a good foundation for future success!

Cool place

By AFL95 |

My wife and I stopped in for drinks/apps before the Elton John concert. This is a really cool place, and we'll come next time we're in the area. Cool ambiance, good service, and good food. It's a big place with a roof top patio, and also a large outdoor seating area. They have Jenga, bean bag toss, and some outdoor games you can play while drinking. This is a good place for a date or just hanging out with friends. Check it out if you're in the area.

The house Margarita is pretty insane

By LibraZebra |

Showed up on 2/22, national margarita day. Sure glad we did. The ritas were $6 made with Patron, Don Julio and one other decent quality tequila that I don’t recall. Really diverse crowd in every way. Lots of security, clean, nice view from upstairs, open air environment. Huge patio upstairs... was enclosed due to cold weather. Can’t wait to check this place out when it warms up. Great example of a high energy Dallas party crowd.

Favorite Bar in Dallas

By Alissa G |

This is by far my favorite bar in Dallas. The crowd is very diverse, which I love! Great views of the city, and the bartenders make drinks faster than I have ever seen!!

Beautiful time in a beautiful space

By Texman1313 |

I don't really think architecture is that important for a restaurant or bar, but when something is this outstanding, it really makes a difference. This is a well-designed venue that makes everything seem better. The overall look is the most memorable thing even though the food and service are both very good. The 2nd floor deck is not to be missed. A great place to meet friends or take a large group.

Popular hangout

By Jimmy C |

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat before a hockey game. Definitely the festive place to go in Downtown Dallas. In the Harwood District. Best burger and fries in all of Dallas.

Casual night out

By Corey B |

The scenery is top notch. The view from the rooftop is pretty nice. Great atmosphere. The Hour burger is a good choice but the Happy Burger if you are a bacon lover is a great choice. The Dallasite is a goid choice if you are into Coconut rum. Great selection of craft brews to choose from. Highly recommend

Fun Bar/Restaurant but Drinks are $

By Lori W |

Really nice restaurant and would be great at night with the rooftop bar. We went for brunch and food was great - cocktails were pricey. Service was slow - but we weren't in a hurry. I still would go back - nice concept,.

First Time in Texas

By SixtysixerBB |

Went for dinner with a business colleague, and we were both impressed by the service, the atmosphere and the service. I think Whitney was the name of our server and even though it was busy, she took time to answer all of our questions about the area. THANKS

Good food, pricey cocktails, fun people watching

By Stephanie A |

Happy hour eats were tasty. Cheese fries and tempura cauliflower both good. We tried a variety of cocktails, which were okay, but for the price ($13 ea) should have knocked our socks off. The people watching was fun, it was great to sit outside, decent views and sunshine. Really good waiter - Trevor - props to him for charm, attentiveness, and good timing on following up.

Nice spot to relax

By Vinny K |

Really nice set up here. Lots of beer and friendly staff. There is a large outdoor area also that is really chill. The upstairs is more like a club and has a "cooler" vibe.

WOW! A must stop!

By Christine1217B |

This place is amazing! It’s a must visit! We went on a Friday night, it was packed. I’ve never been to a bar so big. The bartender at the main bar first floor was fantastic. Great experience. We were visiting from out of state an it was recommended we go there. Food was good too. It has a huge TV for watching the games. Great vibe.

Great food, outside social service up and TVs inside!

By BethC1005 |

Great big large bar with TVs everywhere. Loved our long booth with our own TV. Food was excellent, service a bit slow. Has an outdoor area that was very social. Highly recommend.

Happiest place

By Deja Vu |

Nice bar uptown with nice decor inside with Holliday designs for Xmas. They have outside seating as well as upstairs outside patio with a great view of the city. It’s pretty packed upstairs if you come late and hard to order a drink at the single bar. Good looking crowds filling up this place I guess it is one of the happiest place to be. Drinks are decent and priced like any other bars around uptown. Have to valet your cars if you plan to come here . Better choice would be Uber. It’s better in summer where you can enjoy the top patio outside and get table bottle services too.

Happiest Hour - EVER

Fantastic atmosphere

By Lovelivelaughtravel |

Fantastic atmosphere within a short walking distance to the American Airlines arena. The dip trip was great....crispy chips, fabulous bean dip, queso and guacamole. French fries were great as was my brisket taco. Will definitely be back.

The. Place. To. Be. Period.

By nrishard |

Looking for a rooftop bar with a great view and plenty of space? This is the place to be! The best thing about the Happiest Hour is the rooftop view at night. The food is okay, but you don't go to a place like this for food. There is plenty of seating throughout, with the downstairs having more of a restaurant feel to it and upstairs having more of a club feel to it. The service was fine. Do note that the only parking available is valet. I drove around for 20 minutes before I realized that was the only option. The valet is free and of course adds a safety factor because you don't have to walk to your car in the dark. If you want to go to the rooftop at night, be sure to get there early. On a Friday night, we went upstairs around 10:15 and came back down around 11 and access to the rooftop had been roped off. People were waiting in line to get up there, so arrive early! The music is not that great, by the way. It's not really a dance type of atmosphere, more of a 'mingle' spot. I highly recommend this spot. Go check it out!

Great for patio chill

By Erin O |

I like that this place has a huge outdoor patio area under trees. They have TVs around if you want to watch a game. Lots of low cocktail tables with big comfy chairs. Easy to relax under the trees with a cocktail.

Not what it used to be

By Tarek P |

Lazy host caused the whole issue which prompted us to leave 2 mins after arriving. This place has gone down hill, Lazy people will kill a business. Better places nearby.

Had a conference meeting here

By WBWII |

I had a buffet lunch and hors d’oeuvres. The chicken salad was great. But everything looked good. They served very generous drinks. The place itself is an excellent venue. While it is only a couple of stories tall it has a large patio with a view of the city. I would like to go back to see what it’s like during normal business hours.

Not my happiest hour

By Focused77 |

Beautiful building, unique blend of modern and rustic. Great location, valet parking. Food was good but not great. Burgers were overcooked. Calamari was good but they should serve with more of the sauce otherwise a bit dry. Wonderful beer selection. The background music was so loud and poor acoustics made it difficult to have a conversation. Service was slow. We are unlikely to return.

Fun place to watch the game

Came here for the Red River Showdown. Obviously it was busy that day but the vibe was great. The outdoor seating was fun. And the beers were averaged priced. A fun time to go for the game and lots of big shareable apps but did not eat food here.

One of the coolest physical setups I've ever seen, good service, good food

By 745Entertainment |

Very cool open air setup with a fair amount of inside seating, complete with a large connected yard with picnic tables. They also have a rooftop lounge. Bartender Patrick took good care of us both nights we were there, despite the bar being woefully underprepared for the NCAA onslaught on the second night. We got food the second night, and it was quite good. I had the short rib tacos and shrimp shooters and both were very good. My g/f got a burger and really liked it. Prices were about average. Dinged one oval for some service related weirdness due to the overwhelming crowd the second night. I want to say it wasn't their fault, but they got plenty of warning in advance and seemed to ignore it. I'd still return, but would be cognizant of any events going on at the AA Center, which will flood this place before and/or after.

Roof top atmosphere

By Joleen L |

Came here for lunch before the womens final four game and had some smokey tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Such a classic!! Our table tried the calimari and raved about it. We also tried several different drinks that were pretty good but they were pricey. Came back after the game for some people watching and it was the place to be. Excellent atmosphere!!

Pretty People

By Clint C |

Cool place somebody spent a lot of money in a great location to put that type of venue there. Valet. The food is very good and on point drinks are fast all around it's just a cool place.

Great city views from top terrace

By Roger61Texas |

Last night of conference and went with colleagues after dinner to wrap up and de-stress. Very well laid out, lots of comfortable seating along with propane heaters. Good staff. Great view of the city. Reasonable priced drinks. Worth another visit.

Great Uptown happy hour and early evening meeting place!

By 541jasono |

This restaurant and bar is in a wonderful Uptown Dallas location, with green space surrounding it and a fabulous rooftop bar area overlooking downtown Dallas. Truly beautiful views in the evening! Good service, great professional clientele, and good food as well. Always packed, especially on game days for the Mavs and/or Stars playing at nearby American Airline Arena -- go and have fun!

Always a good time with great views

By SCN96 |

This place is great...every city should have one. It really is a happy place. Great views, lots of outdoor seating, fast friendly service. Did I mention the views...walking up, I wasn't sure what to expect but we really enjoyed the space, with lots of outdoor seating and heat lamps to spare! Too cold, the indoor atmosphere is casual and friendly. Incredible people watching especially as the transition from happy hour spot to trendy night club with dj happens. I add it to my relaxing spots in Dallas list and will go back again.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

By Thomas M |

The manager was very rude to us. We were on a bachelor trip. Easily the worst experience we had at a bar all weekend. I would not recommend. Do not waste your time!

Good casual place

By Michael H |

We were staying an a hotel a short distance away and didn't want to drive anywhere. Found this place and we were pleased. Most of the food was spot on, except the fish sticks were too battered; way too thick. The drinks were good and the rest of the food was typival bar fare. Wasn't too expensive and service was decent. All around, a nice place and would be casual before events at American airlines center.

Happy hour treats and eats with a view

By Destination_Vacay |

I would highly suggest this location truly as a happy hour go to. Don't be a fool and review this if you're *not* eating downstairs and then having cocktails up and are going to complain about the food that you didn't have! The food is devine pub style with an adult twist. Go for true happy hour ( before 7 pm, ) for great drink and dinner specials. We've had the rueben sandwich, fish tacos, grilled cheese, the calamari, the shrimp salsa, a burger, and the beef ribs for 2. Everything was delicious, portions are large, and the food is spot on! After ten pm the *entire* restaurant turns into more of a nightclub with standing room only, and a bevy of bouncers dressed in black, that truly look like secret service lackeys. Fear the bouncers and keep chill. There won't be any bar brawls breaking out here, but the atmosphere is fun and electric! It's THE place to go in Dallas any night, after ten! Move outside to trees dancing with little white lights .....cornhole and fire pits, or go to the rooftop bar that is also complete with comfortable couches, conveniently placed around warm fire pits and a rooftop view that is the best in Dallas. Young, dressy, professional crowd and a lot of fun!

Saturday Football

By Patrice N |

Happiest Hour is a great place to eat, drink, and relax while watching College Football. The location has a ton of TVs so you can catch several different games at once. The menu on Saturday includes bbq favorites that are really good. The drinks are also great. My friend had a manmosa which was amazing. It's 1L of champagne and OJ..can't go wrong there. They have an amazing mango margarita as well. Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks.

Great Happy Spot... Any Hour!

By Dr. Robin Beavers |

I a happy hour diva... this spot was absolutely fabulous! It has great indoor and outdoor seating, including a roof-top area with its own bar! Great atmosphere for a drink after work, or just hanging out with friends. Will definitely visit again the next time in Dallas.

This is really a bar, don't go for dinnet

By kaj2600 |

Our hotel recommended this place for dinner. It's really not a dinner place. It's a club. It's very a cool and an awesome space, with a ton of outdoor seating and activities, but it's not a place for dinner. And by the way, the cocktails are way too expensive.

Really cool place!

By Jessie R |

I came here with a bunch of girlfriends from work for a few drinks on a Tuesday night. This place wasn't too busy when we got here which was great because there were lots of tables open. By the time we left this place was packed full of people which is crazy for a Tuesday night. There is a huge area in the front with tables and chairs, it's kind of a cool set up. There is a lower level inside area with two really cool circular booths. There is a really large upstairs, outdoor, uncovered area with great city views. The atmosphere here was almost electrical to me, it felt so good to be there. My friends and I had a really great time here. The service was great for a group of 8 even when this place got busy! Seriously go here if you're in town and looking to have a few drinks!

Great atmosphere, disappointing portions

By Teri1966 |

Atmosphere very good, loved it. Food was good, but the portion size on the chicken thigh lettuce wraps was too small. I'm a small woman and that wasn't enough food for me! That should be an appetizer, not an entree. Another reason I stay on the Fort Worth side of the metroplex, at least they feed you there. Not in Dallas, apparently!

No way this was a happy hour

By Renée L |

This place is not worth a visit. We just ordered some drinks and they shut the place down at 11 while they should be open till midnight. They decided to close the place without telling us in advance and we couldn't even finish our drinks. Not my happiest hour.

Hip Hot Spot

By Philly514 |

I travel to Dallas on business a lot and always enjoy discovering the great food concepts the city has to offer. The HH offers a great atmosphere, impressive view of the city from the upper terrace and decent food. It's definitely got a leg up on being one of the largest outdoor spaces to hang out at for an after work drink and light bite- but (theres always one...)the service is lack lustre without that usual Texas warm welcome I have come to expect. Food is OK but you can great food at several places in Uptown with a friendly face to take care of you.

Just a pit stop for me

By Michael G |

I will come back again. Very nice place. Very open with lots of air and the staff is very friendly and fun. They have a wonderful selection of draft brews and I didn't eat, but from what I saw the food Looked great. If you're ever in Dallas in late summer or spring check it out. Middle of summer it might be hot. It was recommended to me by a very nice bartender at hooters and I'm glad she did!

Couldn't get anything right

By Sue G |

Shaila our server tried hard to make it a good visit; Thanks to her! 3 of 4 items weren't available at opening. Servers trying to give our food to other tables. May be good for drinks but food not so much. Won't be eating here again.

Amazing Venue

By CoachG-Ray |

What an amazing venue. Great drinks and food. The indoor/outdoor setting is great. It was within walking distance to the hotel and American Airlines Arena so that was perfect!

Crowded and slow service

By enzoatlas |

This is a nice spot to go for drinks because the architecture is nice and it is mostly outdoors, but it's incredibly crowded and service is slow.

Valet guys

By John W |

Came to watch Texas ou game and didn’t wanna valet but spoke with a valet guy Chris . Explained it well ran got my car for me multiple times and helped me load everything .

Awful valet experience ruined the vibe

By Patrick S |

The valet is a joke here, tons of people waiting in line, like people should, AH’s walk up, skip the line, give the valet $5 and get their car before anyone! Total dick moves, and total dick move for the valet company to allow their employees to do this!

Great Ambience but Loud

By SyllyTX |

We stopped here for dinner & drinks before a concert. Location was great, indoor & outdoor areas very nice. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately the TVs & music was so loud we had trouble having dinner conversation. Otherwise overall a great experience.

An all around great hangout spot

By Kathy C |

This bar has a great concept and has a little something for everyone. I love the different options: Rooftop seating, outdoor bar area, indoor bar areas, lounge seating all around, plenty of tv's, and areas to listen to music. We settled for sharing appetizers and having a few drinks. Everything we ordered was delicious. I wasn't sure about the soy sauce calamari but it was delish.

Great upscale bar and patio, good music

By Jamberly |

Good place to hang out on a Thursday-Saturday evening. Good food and an excellent patio. Out door music is good too.

Horrible Valet experience

By caylynn o |

Just rude from beginning to end. Felt rushed and unwelcome. I was here for a bussiness meeting with some colleagues and upper management. I was changing my shoes to more casual wear, when a black male who didn't have any kind of company name/logo on him approached my vehicle. I wasn't sure if he was even valet, he opened my door to hand me my ticket without even greeting me... all while yelling at an uber lady and insulting her about knowing how to read a sign that she apparently overlooked. Just inappropriate and lacking in class! He then walked away towards an off duty Dallas police officer, presumably hired by the company, and stared making "fat jokes" about the woman uber Driver... and about her "DSL" lips... I was just shocked, especially becuase I was expecting a more upscale environment. The entrance was totally damaging to my overall experience!

Pretentious with bad service

By Davidwardt |

All the makings of a great venue, but guys you fall short. The upstairs terrace bar offers a great view of the city and is a good meeting spot- but that's where it ends. One barman was friendly but the girls were simply rude. We couldn't reserve a table for dinner downstairs as we were told they 'are SO busy'. We were hungry so we went down anyway and there were plenty of tables available. Four of the five meals came out but waited 10 minutes for the last meal to arrive. Server didn't apologise, we had to ask for cutlery and side plates for the Signature Dish of 'Dino Ribs'-DON'T BOTHER. $39 as a shared plate for 2 people -joke- Miserable 2 larger ribs and a small serve of potato salad. Train the staff to be 'of service ', make sure they want to be there and you may stay in business. We won't be back in a hurry.

Great for a pint

By Robin B |

This is a wonderful place to go for a beer and a snack. Not a place for dinner. They have an amazing amount of stuff on tap...if they still have it, check out Mardi Gras beer. Their drink menu is helpful and sorts by kind (ale, IPA, etc) but talk to the barista. The snacks are okay, remember you can't take them upstairs. Don't miss the view from upstairs whether you go with drink in hand or not.

Great Place For Beer Before a Game

By LonestarSpartan |

Had a couple more beers here before the Mavs game. Bustling atmosphere and a nice view. Easy walk to the American Airlines Center. Valet parking tips are cheaper than downtown parking and is very easy and quick. Good stop before a game.

Great for Groups & Open Atmosphere

By usflyer |

Was here for a departmental lunch at 1PM and the place was totally empty. However, it is nicely decorated for the holidays and has a great open vibe and a HUGE selection of draft beers. I didn't look at the prices since company was paying. All the food we ordered was great, and my Hours Burger was a great size and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. I would have no trouble going here again....they have free valet parking (just tip when you pick up the car).

Big happy place with great views of Dallas

By Lynn_Lyon |

Fun place for drinks and socializing. There is a spacious outdoor area with fire pits,an indoor area for eating and an upstairs patio with a bar and great views. On a beautiful Saturday this place was packed early evening after a Stars game. There were probably 500+ people there. Interesting architecture and wide open spaces that fill up quickly.

Great Pre Game Drink Spot

By BryansBabe |

We met some friends here for a drink before a Maverick's game. Brilliant location for pre game as it is about a three block walk to the Arena. This place may be new but it was jam packed. It was too cold to use the expansive patios outside so it was shoulder to shoulder inside. It is really large inside with a chic rustic industrial vibe. Service was quick and proficient. Even as crowded as it was we found a place to sit upstairs within 10 minutes. Did not have a chance to try any food. If you are going pre game and looking to eat, make a reservation. Can't wait to go back when we can enjoy the outdoors patios.

Nice open air bar, top level has good views

By John D |

Good casual/sports bar scene with plenty of outside seating. Service staff did a good job of circulating through the outdoor tables. Only had a few beers but they had a nice selection and each round was delivered promptly

Finally made it

By Candeeluve |

Discovered this place while searching for best happy hours in Dallas on a previous business trip. Finally made it during a previous visit to the area. This is downtown where parking can be difficult to find; however valet is conveniently available. It was also free. Happiest Hour is a large facility with seating that can accommodate any size party. There is plenty of seating inside and out; which will likely provide any atmosphere you are looking for. Would definetly recommend going here for a fun brunch, lunch, happy hour or dinner!

Just drinks/great bartender

By Kmad26 |

Went before Blake Shelton concert and sat at the bar. Really enjoyed watching the bartender mixing drinks. He knew how and what he was doing. My husband picked up a few tips! We did not order food so can't say how that is but it was a fun bar with a lot going on.....outside seating looked awesome!

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS

By Gaby G |

Yesterday evening, myself and my significant other took a large group of 15 university professors, from all over the world, who were in town for a conference to Happiest Hour. These people were professionals acting in accordance with all social norms of decorum. We each ordered one drink and stood around the bar to mingle. Less than 30 minutes into our visit, we were told to leave by a bouncer, Keevan Gonzales. Security proceeded to come over to the group and rip the (still full) glasses from our hands, for which we were charged. The group was shocked and profoundly befuddled as to why we were being told to leave. As we continued to repeatedly ask for clarification, the bouncers behaved with excessive rudeness, and called one member of our group a c*nt. Another bouncer, the head of security, Brian O'Leary forcibly SHOVED a member of the group out of the door. We were not shouting, belligerent, or even drunk. No physical harm was initiated by any member of the group that warranted this treatment. Once escorted outside of the establishment, we spoke to a manager, Tiffany, who was also confused as to why we were asked to leave. Once we explained the situation, she said that she did not have a problem with letting us back in. She spoke to security who said that because police assisted in escorting us out, we would not be permitted back in. It was an embarrassment for us and our out of town guests, and a poor business model. You've lost local customers from this ordeal, and I expect to be contacted from a member of Happiest Hour with regards to this horrific experience. DO NOT SUPPORT AN ESTABLISHMENT WHOSE SECURITY PHYSICALLY HARMS AND USES DEROGATORY LANGUAGE AT ITS PATRONS. THERE ARE OTHER PLACES IN DALLAS WITH A GOOD VIEW-- AND SUBSTANTIALLY BETTER SERVICE.

Great atmosphere, awesome food and drink.

By DarkArmyElf |

With its amazing view of the Dallas skyline, friendly staff, and atmosphere this is one amazing place to enjoy an evening with friends. Highly recommend going upstairs during the weekend for the live DJ and stunning view that has some great photo opportunities. Bartender mix up some very delicious specialty drinks as well as well known favorites. Also great for a night out, sports games, or that little showing off for that special someone. Though that dont allow eating up stairs they do offer a great menu to select from.

Always a Fun Spot

By wwfrench |

You can’t beat this bar downtown!! Tons of outdoor seating, always packed with people and just a fun place to be !! They have upstairs and downstairs and great outdoor games and bar outside!! Fun place to hang out with friends !!

Nice views

By Tim M |

Good busy bar, served nice Gin and tonic with some excellent views of the Dallas Skyline at night. Great atmosphere

Great Outdoor Space, Good for Groups

By lrhorer |

While on business, we visited the Happiest Hour for drinks with a group of 16 people. Great people watching. This is a place to be seen and the place to go for after work drinks in Dallas. Large restaurant with a big outdoor seating area. Decent wine by the glass options, better wine by the bottle options. Cocktails were good.

Condescending management

By annie |

I came here to watch the Olympic trials and have a few drinks. After 2 rounds over 2 hours they told us they could no longer serve us because of our "behavior." We left completely sober after being very polite to our waitress and tipping over 20%. They were mad because we reopened a tab after closing out. When I spoke to a manager they were incredibly condescending and asked me if I could "spell a name correctly"

Hip Place But Horrible Customer Service

By Steve P |

We were there in a group setting (200+) and it was sort of a debacle... not enough food (running out)... in line 3x to get food without success, The bartenders were great and the alcohol was flowing but it was an open bar and it was an easy tab. We ended up ordering off the menu downstairs due to not being able to get some of the food that was put out... I was immediately asked for a credit card (Is that a southern thing?).... told the waitress we would be upstairs and she said ok.... we ordered nothing intense,,, an hour later we are tracking people down to locate the food. Each person we asked, pointed to another person to ask... no one took ownership for the service. By the time we received the order, we placed it in to go containers.... that was after the bouncer said they would not bring food to the top floor. Yes, it's a hot neighborhood now with nice looking people, but things change and then you wonder why your business goes down... you have time to fix it.

A Bar-Park in the middle of Big D

By RobNewsguy |

Just experienced one of the best outside bar experiences ever complete with free valet. Great idea and you can tell by the line of cars. Tasty margaritas, huge TVs and plenty of seating.

Not fun for special events

By Re C |

They seemed to have a very strict super bowl experience event but no one actually had any idea what was going on and honestly it was just them being money hungry. The server was so sub par it was embarrassing. Actually she was useless I got one water in 3 hours and she had to ask everyone for answers for everything. There was a $50 minimum so we rushed to meet that. Food was not hot. Server never came around when there were only two tables. There was no communication. They basically made us leave. They threatened us by saying our friends had 30 minutes to get there or we had to leave. Giving a customer an ultimatum is so pathetic. They wanted to split our table for their waitlist even though we had made a reservation for the game. It was just a waste of my time and money and I wish I could have just watched the game there and had fun especially after spending over $50 per person minimum.

Excellent tuna burger with

By itschorr623 |

Excellent tuna burger with tempura seaweed! Calamari was great and the king pow sauce was amazing! Will go back!

Horrible Service - Automatic 18% Gratuity

By Aphillip22 |

Came here with a group of 6 for a team dinner/happy hour and the service was terrible. We waited at least 40 minutes for our waitress to take our order, food took another hour to come out, there was no attempt to refill our drinks and she checked on us once in 3 hours. Then…here’s the kicker…they added an automatic 18% gratuity to my bill. I had no choice but to pay it. There was no notification that would be added by default, and we were only a table of 6 so that shouldn’t constitute a group gratuity rate. The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars is because the food was really tasty. Otherwise, this would be a zero.

Great spot for a drink

By Amanda C |

Lovely bar in an awesome location. Service is quick, nice selection of beverages. Near downtown and American Airlines Center.

Rockin' New Uptown Dallas Bar

By Suzana K |

Great new spot in Uptown. It's LOUD in there so be ready for that. We only sampled the appetizers so I have no clue if there are entrees. The bar appetizers were good. They had healthy offerings as well as the typical not so healthy items. The food was thoughtful and there was a twist on many of typical bar appetizers.

Reserve a table b4 you go

By Rudeazzgemini |

You wrote a review for Happiest Hour 3 days ago 4.0 star rating 1/20/2017 I love the atmosphere of this place.. it was super packed the night i went on a Saturday. The vibe is a mixed crowd full of young pretty people... The food was alil over priced for what you actually got.. i order a Cesar chicken salad which was about $16.00 bucks. it was good but don't get me wrong i could have made it at home. Cute i bet it very awesome for a Sunday fun day brunch !! i would definitely reserve before you go !!

Great Place

By Hula15girl |

As suggested from our hotel, this place was great!! Service was awesome and food was as we say in hawaii : " Onolicious" . This is a great place for visitors to enjoy the flavors of Texas. It is within walking distance from Hyatt house Dallas uptown and the American Airlines Center. This place is a must go to!!

Great food

By MsShira01 |

This is a great place to hanf out and watch a game. The good was great! I got the happy hour burger which had great flavor with the unions and, bacon. But, beware, the valet drivers arent that cautious with vehicles. May be best to park and walk!

Age and beauty required for this frat house

By Christine W |

We greeted the hostess (not the other way around) and she looked me and my father up and down. She was not subtle about it. She then said, "Your wait will be 2 hours." We were meeting family here and were at a loss. There were no others waiting that we saw. We sat on a bench and watched group after group get welcomed and seated without waiting -- mostly trendy dressed 20 something's. It was too loud and felt like frat parties I had attended in my college days. Not a place to talk and visit. There was loud music, people yelling and the dull roar of a sports dive. There are warnings about children and puppies as you walk up. This is not a place for anyone who is an outsider, overweight, older or in some way found lacking by the staff. It was obvious to me their tactic is to give a "rejected" patron a ridiculous wait time rather than deny them access. Accepted patrons who make the cut are immediately seated. I say skip it. Far better restaurants exist in Dallas by a long shot. We went elsewhere with our family and had a great time. Not a happiest hour for us. No thank you.

Poor service and bad attitude of server

By FrequentFlier787137 |

Our server practically ignored us all night, we had to keep flagging her down to order and her attitude was awful. I was served my food with no water and had to keep asking for the wine we ordered. Obviously the 20% service charge already added meant she felt she could ignore us all night and give us second class treatment. When questioned about whether or not we actually got the doubles she charged us for she got extremely angry and started yelling at me and making a scene infront of our table. She demanded aggressively to know if I ‘wanted them removed from the bill’ and ‘answer the question’ or wanted to talk to the manager to which I said no ‘I’m fine to pay if they were doubles but I will write a review on this evening’ she then stormed off after a dramatized scene in which she called herself a ‘good person’. As soon as I mentioned a review she lost it, was the first time she paid attention or interacted with us all night. Perhaps she thought we were tourists passing through and it didn’t matter how she treated us.

Don't know

By emily j |

We came here prior to the Womens Final Four. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the waitress was nice but took forever but it was packed. The thing that bothered us it that this location is ONE block for the stadium. It hosted the Womens Final Four and in their location ONE block away, they had a giant, wall sized bracket for the MENS Final four and a bunch of stuff for other sports but nothing for the WOMENS Final four which is literally hosted spitting distance away. Disrespectful. Seriously?!?!

Great New Spot in Harwood

By Tanner H |

This place has a fantastic atmosphere. I will say they started of a little slow on the service when they opened, and the drink prices are a little higher, but the location is great and there is always a good crowd. With its countless number of TVs, it is great for watching any type of sporting event. The balcony has a wonderful view of the Dallas skyline and the American Airlines Center. One of my favorite day-drinking spots. Also, every time I've been at night on weekends, they have had a DJ with a deep house groove - if you're into that type of music it is a great complement to the atmosphere. I can't really comment on the food because I haven't tried it but it certainly looks good coming out of the kitchen. Definitely a great spot to kill a few hours with your friends.

For the young

By jessicafay2017 |

I went here with a client for some drinks and appetizers. It’s a very large and unique space, that you don’t see in many cities. That being said, it’s for the young as the patrons and vibe is very young and college like. Good for people in their twenties. Not good if your a bit older and looking for a good drink and food beyond bar food.

Perfect afternoon

By CoCo W |

It was a Friday afternoon in Dallas and we wanted a cool outside patio and this place did not disappoint! Very chill laid back place with an awesome rooftop patio! I will go back anytime and I definitely recommend! Perfect for girls night or date night! Drinks are good!

Great Bar and outside area

By Tom P |

was here to get a mid day snack and drink. this place is really neat and has a great atmosphere. drinks and food were very good and the outside areas were unreal. we did not stay outside long as it was 105 degrees. i can see this as a great place to go to before a Stars game or Mavericks game. good energy and Tvs all over.

Business Event

By Paul B |

Great location and restaurant. Outstanding staff and bartenders. Really enjoyed entertainment and stage. Great outside area with tables.

Some say third time is the charm; but I was once again disappointed.

By Randy Thompson |

Was taking out two coworkers for a 'thank you' lunch and they wanted to go to Happiest Hour. I've been there twice before and was underwhelmed both times. But I wasn't going to argue. Got there at 11:30 AM, and the valet was missing. A couple minutes later he showed up and we went inside. Wait, when we got to the front door it was still locked. And they show they open at 11:00. This same thing happened to me the last time I ate there. Anyway, we were seated right away and the wait staff was fine. Polite and professional. And I will admit, I liked my lunch. Had the arugula and prosciutto salad with shrimp. One of my guests had the fish tacos, the other a burger. Both liked their selection and the food was plentiful. But bear in mind when coming here, much of the time they have their patio open. As a result, there are a TON of flies inside. One of my guests commented they need to hand fly strips. I agree. So as long as you don't mind flies circling and buzzing you, feel free to give this place a try. For me, there are just too many other good places to eat in Dallas where you needn't take a can of Raid to lunch.

Turned away at 57 years old

By modobo |

Went here with my 28 and 25 year old sons and their dates after a rehearsal dinner on April 25th. The bouncer turned me away because I did not have an ID. I’m 57 but totally understood and left my kids and caught a ride home alone. My niece and nephew - in their early 20s - came 10 minutes later without IDs and the same bouncer let them in. I get it - they don’t want older people there. Just wanted to air in case you think it might be fun to hang out with your kids there on an occasion.

Great Bar Scene

By neluv05 |

I had calamari and cocktails at the Happiest Hour last night...LOVED IT! Our waiter (Kalu) was a treat. We were meeting for a cocktail but because of the wonderful bar scene both upstairs and downstairs, we remained for hours. The crowd was diverse and friendly. We watched the fireworks from the upper bar and enjoyed the beautiful view of downtown Dallas.

Great times

By Princess E |

We got to Happiest Hour just unwind and have a great time. It's always fun and food is good. I also, enjoy the drinks. We get really crazy on the roof. The view is amazing of out beautiful city!!!

Sat night drinks

By Mel W |

Great atmosphere, beautiful people and good layout - my one and only complaint is that I ruined my heels walking around outside on the deck bc my heels kept getting stuck in the gaps. Nevertheless, this was my favourite night out in Dallas! Oh, and THANKS for keeping my lost purse safe! 🙏🏼 I'll definitely be back! X

Don't waste your time.

By Rance H |

We sit here for one hour before one person ask if we wanted something to drink. And forget someone taking your order.

Birthday celebration

By lisaayala |

Went here to celebrate my birthday. The food was good, the drinkis were amazing, and the upstairs balcony vibe was absolutely the best.

Good lounge bar

By Allegra L |

It is one of my favorite bars in Dallas, you can go on the rooftop and enjoy your evening with friends. It is crowded, but you can find your spot and not being bothered by other people

Great location and atmosphere.

By JohnDavidCohea |

We came into Dallas to attend a hockey and decided to try this place afterwards since it was only about a block from the arena. Young, corporate type crown with an upscale drinks. Mixed drinks were strong. Busy crowd so you have to push your way to the bar. Good view if you hang out on the balcony upstairs.

Brunch and a View

By Kristi R |

We loved the brunch food. Specifically the pancakes and the breakfast sandwich. The patio and view is also amazing! Dog friendly patio covered and uncovered and also upstairs has skyline views.

Rooftop Drinks

By clintellis99 |

The rooftop had a great view. It is a great place to grab a drink and hang out with friends or impress a first date. Drinks a little higher price but are made well.

Delicious Appetizers

A friend of ours that lives in the area took us here for some apps and drinks. Such a great place. Really like the bar. Good Bloody Mary’s. Tasty with a spicy kick. Artichoke Spinach Dip was excellent. Also, the breaded cauliflower and bacon wrapped shrimp appetizers were delicious! Would definitely return.

Hotel recommendation

Our hotel concierge suggested that we go the restaurant. From the name one would think that they would have an awesome happy hour. They don't. The drinks on the menu appeared to be very inviting, however they were a disappointment. I had to revert back to my go to beverage. My salmon dish was over cooked. I had to sent it back. My waiter Stephan was very nice and hustled between tables the entire time. The replacement salmon was much better. I doubt I would go there again but the set up of the restaurant was attentive.

Such a fun vibe

The outdoor space is awesome, the food is good and reasonably priced, tons of local beers on tap and the waitstaff were friendly and knowledgable. Not to mention the great atmosphere and terrific music playing inside while we dined. Great for a drink or s meal, definitely worth checking out!

Skyline of Dallas

A great place to grab a drink after work to see the Dallas skyline illuminated at night. Drinks were good and fairly priced. On the weekdays, Happiest Hour seems to bring a young, professional crowd.

Crappiest hour

By David H |

Having heard great things about this bar from friends, I decided to give the Happiest Hour a try after dinner at Five Sixty. More like Crappiest Hour. I asked the barman on the upstairs patio for a French Martini...a fairly popular cocktail I would have thought. He didn't seem to know what is was and after asking the bar supervisor proceeded to make a vodka martini with a splash of Chambourd added. I complained to the supervisor who continued to serve another customer then disappeared to the back of the bar to check his cell phone for a few minutes before coming back out and making me a fresh drink which admittedly tasted like a French Martini but looked nothing like one. No conversation....just plonked the drink in front of me and that was that. I subsequently complained to the bar manager since this had totally ruined what had otherwise been a great night. He offered me a free drink totally missing the point that I was not looking for a freebie but for him to deal with the disgraceful attitude of his bar staff. Needless to say I will not be back. What a major disappointment.

Not sure what the hype is all about

Location is great - walking distance to AAC, very hip, cool space and concept. Stopped by for drinks before dinner at a nearby restaurant. Drinks are good yet above average on price. It is definitely the place to be and be seen. Service was adequate and server was not personable at all - no smile during the 90 minutes we were there...wow. Observed some service issues with guests around us and a manager trying to correct. Friends I was with ordered appetizers and comments were - "ok" and "nothing special". I won't be back - too many other choices in the immediate area that provide excellent service and food!

Happiest hour

Worst staff ever. Rude. Trying to catch our uber they were awful. Don't go here, they kick you out and then don't help you unless you valet parked.

Busy place

If you are after a busy place with good music, fast and friendly service, we'll priced then this place is a go. We had a few drinks each and tried the beef tacos, chicken sandwich and the beef and cheese grill all were fine. Is what it is and we had a good time.

Cool place

Met a former colleague there for dinner while in town on business. Very cool setting, good service and good food (I had one of the burgers). I would definitely go back.
