Not sure about this

By LAFAMILLEG11231 |

Cute pastry shop not too many choices but cake was good $15 per slice a bit steep They also offer pasta which is weird and servers look like pharmacists should rethink the uniform

Sweet afternoon

By Bettina S |

Must try those delicious cakes . We bought several so we can try each one. Cappuccino and regular coffee accompanied with all those cakes made this Sunday afternoon a sweet deal. Service was great and spontaneous and $11/per slice not too expensive

Lovely shopping break

By FourUpstate |

We were walking by and decided to stop for a break, so happy we did stop. The cake and coffee were wonderful, but what was outstanding was the friendliness and welcoming attitude of the staff. So nice to be somewhere you are not rushed, encouraged to order more etc. An overall charming place.

Really wonderful tea here. We shared the strawberry cake - perfect, airy sponge, light fluffy whipped frosting and fresh fruit. Loved the fancy Toto toilets, too :)

Exquisite Cake and Tea

By HenryNYC |

Apparently this is the third store of a chain that started in Japan and already has stores in Chelsea and UES. West Broadway location is not as packed, and the ambiance is really comfortable, not noisy. Almost cannot make any mistake with whatever choices you make with cake, and do order tea in lieu of coffee as the Japanese cake is very light and subtle yet extremely seductive. The flavor will be with you for a while.

Worst Lemon Yogurt Dessert Ever

By 007world |

I would NOT order their lemon yogurt dessert. There banana cream pie was decent. Rude management. Wanted to resell our lemon dessert after we asked for it to be removed, but obviously we tried to know it wasn’t edible. So GROSS

The reason I give only 1 star is one it’s close to Sadelle’s Was a cold morning today in the city and we were waiting for our reservation at Sadelle’s ,we got in place only because was close to Sadelle’s and we were waiting to our time to dine there .we got in herbs was very busy But service wasn’t welcome and very slow We order coffee tea and a cake none of them tasty. the big price we pay wasn’t worth it Hope they will change service

Delicious Japanese cafe

Excellent cakes, tea and coffee served. The cakes are so light and tasty! The SoHo location opened in November 2018.

Great cakes but need to work on service

By Will L |

Harbs definitely offers some of the best cakes (Japanese style/more fluffy type) in the city. Typically we get cakes from their 9th Ave. shop, but we wanted to try their lunch menu so we head to the one in SoHo. We went on early afternoon on Labor Day, since they only have limited outdoor seating so there's a line. There seems to be no hostess or a specific staff handles the waiting list. Once we seated and about to order the food, the waiter then came and told us that there's no more food available, only cakes left. It was only 2:30pm, and they opened at 12:00pm. After our cakes came, they brought our more and asked us whether we've got ours yet, TWICE!! Then we noticed there's another table who seated before us has not served any water and has been waiting for a very long time for some to take their order. The servers were running around and seems to be confused what to do, which table to serve, etc. Inside the cafe dirty dishes were just piled on the counted. They whole place was definitely understaffed, and need better management and training (especially communication) of the staffs.

Cake is so delicious which attracts some flies

By dinernothappy |

Nice vibe for afternoon tea with the delicious cake. Cakes are so delicious which attract some small flies. Also unlucky to have 4 ladies talking loudly like it’s their home, which spoil the afternoon tea experience in such a nice Japanese tea house.

Beautiful cake

Got the strawberry shortcake and it was amazing, it was for a staff birthday and we all loved the look and taste of the cake.

Japanese desserts that are very pretty.

By Joannasable |

Harbs is a cute Asian bakery that is quite chic. Cakes are uber sweet and very pretty. They make a very short espresso shot so be aware. The cakes are pricy but then again quality usually is. I think this place is worth a visit. Please follow @joannasable on instagram for more food and travel fun.

Decent food for brunch, but 13 USD for a pile of whipped cream?

By MatCerri |

We went there for brunch with my wife. The place was empty, service good, food decent (although just a salad, so no big expectations). Cakes were blend... both kinds (we tried different ones with my wife) were just piles of whipped cream with fruit... and for 13 USD + taxes + service +... May be we are too fussy about cakes, but what's the excitement about their cakes? We hoped for much better.
