The Classics!!

By uofmtailgtr |

If you love classic Italian food (Lasagna, Pizza, Chicken Parmesan) etc with a great atmosphere Harry's is the place. I will be back next time I am in New York.

Neighborhood Gem

By PLCinNYC |

A local New Yorker suggested I try Harry's Italian. I would have not found it otherwise. The food is very good and the service is great as well. The staff engage in conversation and are friendly. Harry's is also a good value for the large amount of food you get.

Neighborhood Place Near Battery Park City

By ssbelltx |

It was ok. The portions are quite large and it works well for families. They have a brunch on weekends and the prices are commiserate with the neighborhood. We've ordered take out and it is always good. We had the gnocchi and I had a meatball sub. The pizza we saw looked really good, maybe we just didn't order well.

Family lunch

By 321CIB |

We stopped by for a quick lunch as we were staying nearby. The service was good, I had the meatballs with spaghetti and it was nice. My wife and son shared a pizza and I thought it could have been cooked for a little longer but it tasted fine.

Great 'Za

By Kori G |

Stopped by Harry's late-night after traveling and not only was the service great, but so was the pizza! Cocktails are also unique and tasty, and the KRP pizza is awesome! Great spot in FiDi for when you are really craving pizza.

Another great experience here!

By LAMR |

Since our first visit to Harry's in 2013, we have been back MANY times and we have yet to have anything less than a good experience. The most recent was to celebrate my mom's 88th birthday in April. We made reservations for an early lunch on a Saturday, and we had eight people in our party. We received excellent service from start to finish, and everyone enjoyed the food and the experience. Several of us ordered pasta dishes, while others ordered various chicken dishes. I ordered a large family size salad as well. We did not have coffee and dessert, since we were going back for birthday cake elsewhere. I am surprised when I read some of the negative or so-so reviews, because we have always had a good experience here. We have always had attentive service and consistently delicious food, and I have recommended it to all of my friends if they are going to be in the Seaport area or the Financial District.

Pure Italian.

By SunseekerFoodie |

Harry's was close to our hotel, which is what led us there the first time. The pure Italian food - from the noodles to the sauce - kept us coming back three times during our stay. Worth passing up 100 Italian restaurants to make your way to Harry's. Try the House Salad (Flavors are amazing!! Do not skip this part. Dressing you will want to drink!), Fettuccine Alfredo, and finish with the Cannoli (repeat, do not skip this part). Purely perfect! Writing this review is making me hungry....

Dinner while visiting our daughter in NYC

By Nancy Ann |

Our daughter looked up restaurants near her in NYC to take us out to dinner and this place popped up. My husband loves Italian food and NYC pizza so it was a no brainer. Our waiter had great suggestions for our party of four and everyone of them was better than the next from the appetizers to the pizza and pasta choices. This place should be on everyone's list who comes to NYC! Our daughter took home the leftovers and was thrilled to have them for the next few days for her on he's and dinners! I cannot wait to return and visit with her and will always include a visit to Harry's Italian pizza restaurant. It will become our new tradition when visiting.

Great food

By Traveler88 |

This place Is a hidden gem. The food was absolutely delicious. The portion where great I will be going back again.

Disappointing

By Dorrigogirl |

After reading some excellent reports about Harry's Italian Restaurant we were disappointed with our meal. The service was good with friendly waiters who took the time to explain some of the meals on the menu. I ordered lasagne and sad to say, the pasta was somewhat tough and the cheese topping was gluggy and lacked the lovely smooth taste od mozarella. Hubby ordered pasta with proscuito, with the proscuito being tough. Servings were generous and the restaurant attracted a good crowd... very noisy.

Immense Pizza's

By iain b |

My family fancied pizza and this restaurant is next door to where we were staying. The pizza's were excellent with the typical American sizes, so even a small pizza was to much. Each of us built our own pizza with our favourite toppings and when they arrived they were superb. The service staff were attentive and very helpful. They even had European soccer on the TVs as it was Saturday. So sitting, eating pizza in NYC , watching La Liga and drinking beer was immense. Visit this place if you stay in the area.

Very very good pizza

By Kevin H |

This was some of the best pizza I've had... we kept it simple the original with pepperoni and mixed peppers.

Nice place

By Beram |

The service was very good, with friendly and open staff. They were suggesting different pizza styles/toppings and were willing to do complicated stuff. The orderings came fairly fast and tasted superb! The only downside, and that is perhaps something personal, is that the pzzas were served square on owen trays... I do prefer them round as they are traditionally.

Good pizza

By Jhon |

Yes I went for the pizza and it did not disappoint. The pizza was good as well as the ambience. Testy dinner.

Pizza Stop

By nicole p |

Visited Harry's with my husband and 8 year old son. The pizza was delicious, the pepperoni was very crispy. The mojitos were good compared to the drinks we've had in the city. Would definitely visit again. Conveniently located by the 911 memorial so we were able to walk right over after having lunch.

Great food. Great place

By Richard |

Had lunch at Harry's with a group of 12 people. Food was outstanding. Great family style portions. Had a fun time. Check this place out.

Great Pizza, good location in Financial District

By Mark B |

We were starving after having arrived in the City and not being able to get into our room. We have kids aged 11 and. 13. They wanted Pizza. I whipped out Trip Advisor and saw Harry"s. It was close to the hotel. We were dearly promptly. The waitress brought us drinks and bread quickly. Thanks! We ordered a family style sausage pizza. Great stuff. We are from Chicago and e have have had good Pizza before. We couldn't eat it all so we took it home for snacks. It was all gone that night. Very family friendly. Service was super fast. Our waitress stop by to tell us that our food was coming out shortly almost apologetically. We didn't even think it was close to time for our food. Highly recommend.

Great food and huge portions

By MarkHuddlestone |

We ate at Harry's twice during our short break in NYC - we were staying close by but preferred to eat out rather than in the hotel restaurant. Saturday night was a great atmosphere, the place was full but we were able to get a table quickly. The calzone was fantastic and there was a great buzz in the place. The lunchtime sandwiches were also huge! Really loved this place, and hope we'll be back on our next visit to NYC

The big Ragu?

By Frankly |

The waiter cleared our table for the salad (which was good) . But things went south from there. When our family-sized portion of pasta arrived, we had to go searching for cutlery. Worse: the $34 dish tasted exceptionally bland. One couldn’t help wonder what pre-fabricated brand of sauce was used. Don’t let the name fool you: there is nothing Italian about this joint.

Amazing

By Handbags69 |

We found this by complete chance decided to give it a try , absolutely amazing we had the seafood linguine family size wow it was amazing myself and daughter shared it and partner had spaghetti Bolognaise , lovely Friendly staff plenty on menu to choose from wish we found it sooner

Fantastic pizza! One of the best pies we've ever had.

By Pal1 |

We love pizza... we eat it often, at home and when we travel - and Harry's made one of the best pies we've ever had. We ordered a "large round" with pepperoni, olives, and sundried tomatoes, and it was out of this world. Perfect thin crust - not soggy in the middle, generous high quality toppings, and flavorful sauce. As a side note, the cocktails were so-so (they didn't get our drink orders quite right... too dirty, not on the rocks, etc.) but I wouldn't penalize the place for that. The pizza makes it all worth it.

Good food, average service

By Olivia H |

Went here for brunch with 3 other girl friends. The service was average, food was amazing, and bottomless mimosa/bloody mary's were great. Great price for what you got.

Little Italy

By ctr0ut |

We visited this restaurant as it was near our hotel and we made a good choice.Service was quick and we were left enough time to study the menu. And time was needed as there was a great selection of dishes to choose from.I had a starter and the wife decided on a selection of breads. The breads were soft and fresh and she soon finished them off. I had decided on the calamari and soon had a big plate full in front of me. The mains were brought out soon after and the Lasagne the wife had was solid and not runny like my home made attempts. My meatballs with spaghetti looked great and the size of the meatballs were big to say the least. Needles to say i could not finish my course and had to apologise for what i left. A great place to eat and the service was just as good. Well worth a visit.

Late night dinner was great!

By Jim A |

Arrived after 10:00 p.m. Service was excellent. Food was tasty and well prepared. Popular location even at that time of the evening.

Closed

By Wildcat650 |

Trip Advisor says they are open until 4am and the reviews were pretty good. So I walked all the way to the restaurant to get some pizza and a drink. It was a Thursday, I arrived at midnight, and they were CLOSED. Ironically, they had a big sign that says they serve pizza until 3:30am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Wrong. It was CLOSED.

Magnificent

By Mateuszkarolina |

I have to say what a magnificent place. The pizza was tasty and the drinks simply awesome. A value for money place. The bar is just great. Had a lovely time.

Just go there

By Bonzaiflyer |

Sit at a sidewalk table and enjoy yourself with the great food. You won't regret going there, just do it. My vegetarian spouse was happy, the carnivore in me was happy. Something for everyone, all very tasty.

NYC trip

By bek0186 |

My friends and I were staying in a hotel nearby and decided to stay local for dinner. We did not know we had to have a reservation prior to going but the worker who greeted us was extremely nice and understanding. He got us seated immediately. Pizza and beer were great. Prices weren't bad. Laid back atmosphere.

Good Pizza Break

By Tim Z |

After touring around the financial district for a couple hours in the dead of winter, finding a spot to kill an hour inside and get some pizza was a must. Harry's was a little crowded, but not too bad. They still got us seated right away and service was pretty good. And, the pizza? Excellent! Good food and a decent price. You won't go wrong at Harry's!

Quality Italian cuisine with Hidden costs

By Vikram M |

The food was good and perfectly made. But Beware of the hidden costs that come in the menu. Almost everything is charged extra and if you ate not careful you will end up paying double or triple than what you intended.

Build-your-own-pizza concept!

By Anne Marie L |

We stopped here for lunch after visiting 9/11 memorial. Great selection of typical Italian food. The lasagne is worth trying and the shrimp mariana was decent. The third in our little group tried the pizza. A small pie with two kinds of topping ($22). The system with the pizzas wasn’t that easy to understand but we found out that a small pie is more than enough for one person (unless you are really hungry) - a large pie is for 2-3 people for sharing. Reasonable prices.

Service was terrible

By Robin H |

My mother and I asked a local cop where to eat and she suggested this place. We went and there was only two other couples in the entire place. They sat us at a table under the speakers, never asked us if we wanted anything to drink, just poured water. Didn't come back for a while, and when they did they took our order, still never asked us if we wanted anything to drink. Our appetizer came, we ate it, and, after about 30 minutes we asked a waiter if our food was ready and if not we don't want it. In the meantime there were waiters and waitresses all around. It came within 5 minutes.

Great Pizza!

By Megan R |

Friendly staff and amazing food! We had a lovely Blonde waitress (I cant remember her name, sorry) but she was GREAT!

Great Food, Attentive Service

By Cindy G |

After a day of playing tourist (transplanted from Ny & NJ to SC) we stopped at an FDNY firehouse near One World Observatory for a suggestion for dinner ... and it was Harry's. Your best bets are asking firefighters about local food! So on a Thursday evening... 8:30 pm-ish we walked over and were seated right away. Our waiter: Paolo, was unbeatable! Great personality, and there's no doubt he loves people and where he works. The food: My DH and I shared a caesar salad. He ordered Chicken Parmigiana. I had Penne ala Vodka. We shared a side of Meatballs. We ate every bit (and loved every bite). I don't have pictures because we just ATE IT ALL with no delay! Do not miss this place. It's already on our itinerary for our next visit.

Sorts bar like pizzeria

By Trip188322 |

Reasonable place to have quick bite. It gets crowded very quickly at pick hours. Food is good, prices are somewhat high

Stromboli is delicious

By tdhat |

I had one of the Stromboli with sausage an it has to be one of the best i have ever ordered. The draught beer selection was quite good, great environment/atmosphere. table next to me had a margarita pizza, looked so good I wanted to ask for a slice. service is outstanding, very friendly.

Great pizza bar

By KjetilTL |

Well packed with locals, a little sport bar-like pizza place. A little noise, but the pizza was great, the staff friendly and overall a good place for late dinner. Maybe not true italian pizza, but good enough.

Everything you want from NYC Italian

By BusinessTraveller710 |

Wow we love this restaurant. When you want the quintessential NYC Italian restaurant experience look no further. You are greeted warmly and taken into a busy bustling dining area. Long tables holding local Italian families eating together are mixed with intimate tables for couples and tables for friends and groups. Steaming plates of spaghetti and meatballs sail past tables and trays of lasagne follow. We loved this place so much we went back while in our trip and the front of House recognised us and welcomed us in thanking us for the return visit. Go to this great restaurant and enjoy a true New York Italian welcome.

Great place for lunch

By WTCA |

Had a terrific weekday lunch. Chicken parm sandwich, arugula salad with parm and house salad with chicken added. Everyone was happy and pleased. Mustn't forget the pre-meal focaccia that landed on the table without us asking for it. Nicely seasoned with a slightly crisp outside and a tender, moist inside. All was high quality. And the place was run like a well-oiled machine. Noise level medium to high.

Italian Food in New York

By Alma0000 |

Italian food in New York. Something sweet for Mexican taste, fresh food, slightly expensive. Very friendly staff. No reservation required

The most delicious pizza I've ever ate

By Aviajantecarioca |

I was looking for a pizzeria near me and Google indicated me this one. OMG. Empty space (rare thing in Rockefeller Plaza) and the pizza was so delicious that I wanted to eat more. But I didnt have more space. Lol it is definitely a must go place in NYC specially in the winter

Good but pricy

By BrookeMorales |

This is a large restaurant and bar. You can watch a game here and have some food. Pastas, wings, pizzas,.. The food was good and service friendly and efficient, but the pizza is really overpriced.

harry's is my go-to

By kj b |

I order from here every other week. They have delicious, family style Italian food. I love the penne a la vodka and the rigatoni with tomato and basil. I am a vegetarian, so I am always satisfied. The old fashinoned square pizza is deeeeeelish. I get it with extra garlic, calamata olives and broccoli rabe. yum! Jospehine's eggplant is also very good. Best Italian delivery in the fi-di!

Excellent Meal

By le5691 |

The meal was excellent and the service was good as well. I always enjoy eating here and plan to do so again.

Great Venu

By Amellia11 |

We had a large group booking of kids and adults. Server coped very well considering there was a lot of noise and changing. Pizza was delicious which I was thrilled with (last time hadn't been great) Had some lovely salad too. Great atmosphere. Cater for large groups which I find tricky sometimes in the city.

Just okay

By dma1969 |

It was late and we were starving. My daughter did enjoy her calzone (it looked a little charred to me) and my husband liked his salmon, but I found the marinara sauce very bland. I dumped a ton of Parmesan and red pepper flakes on it to make it edible. We did share a single size mixed green salad that was plenty for three of us—I can’t imagine how big the family size would be!

HORRIBLE, stay away...

By Christobal |

I grew up in NYC and have tried a lot of different Restaurants throughout all the boroughs. This is probably the WORST place I have ever eaten anything called Italian food, but let's start with the lovely waiter, Dimitri. He has to be one of the worst waiters in NYC. He was late coming to the table and then when he showed up all he said was "you ready". At first we thought he was having a bad day then we noticed him talking to other people and drinking in the back like we were bothering him with his good time. When he finally showed up at the table, we spoke about the different foods on the menu and then we spoke about the chicken Parmesan plate, what I was really craving. I asked if the chicken Parmesan came with anything on the side like spaghetti, he said no it was an up charge. I said fine, I really wanted chicken Parmesan, that's what we came to New York city for, a good meal and chicken / veal Parmesan. My two older children ordered fettuccine Alfredo, their usual. When the bread finally arrived at the table, it tasted horrible, almost like a cornbread. That should've been an omen to leave then but no, we stayed longer because we were very hungry and it was pouring cats and dogs outside. The waiter Dimitri didn’t show up for awhile, but his two assistance came by the table regularly and brought us more water and the horrible bread. The food arrived and actually looks pretty decent, it arrived in big plates and the Chicken Parm plate was warm to the touch. The minute my older children tried the Fettuccine Alfredo , they both told me it was probably one of the worst plates they've ever had. And to top it off it was cold and not cooked well and the pasta was still hard. My wife's and my plate of Chicken Parm arrived and it looked good. The first bite of the spaghetti tasted like something out of a can. I have had MRE's (military food) with better sauce for the spaghetti... the Chicken was not any better, it was paper thin and drenched in the same horrible watery sauce. The waiters assistants arrived and asked how everything was, (not Dimitri) I was very honest with him and told him the truth about how we did not like the food at all. The waiter (not Dimitri) apologized and said he would speak to the cook about the issues. The waiters assistant came back to the table and advised us the cook and the manager did not care for our comments and were not going to do anything. I asked if the cook was a professional, from a culinary institute or from an Italian family. The waiters assistant said "No, the cooks from Mexico, that's why, he doesn't know how to cook Italian food". We laughed and said they should probably change the name of the Resturant and not include any indication of Italian food... maybe serve Mexican. Dimitri the actual waiter never showed up during the whole ordeal with the food, even though the assistant said he advised him. We finally had enough and asked for the bill. Wow, Dimitri showed up and handed us the bill!!!! Finally some interaction from the waiter ( the representative of the restaurant). They asked if we wanted to take any of the food to go, we politely declined! We paid the bill and we left $0.00 tip for Dimitri but left the other waiter a good tip and handed it to him personally so he didn't have to share it with Dimitri or the HORRIBLE cook... Please stay away from this place and try somewhere else unless you would like to try MRE pasta or the Taco Bell of Italian Food!

Old Fashioned Pie

By Leigh F |

It's much better to eat in person than when it is delivered. You have to go with the old fashioned pie options! It's yummy!

Delicious pizza, awful service

By Kristen H |

My boyfriend and I were staying at a hotel around the corner from Harry's and we're feeling like pizza so we checked it out. The servers were very abrupt and unfriendly, and one waiter even swatted at my boyfriend to move so he could get plates off the table. The pizza we got was very good though, it's a shame the service isn't great. We won't be going back.

Good food a little pricey

By Keitha C |

This place was near our hotel so we ate here out of convenience. They have traditional Italian fare with a family restaurant atmosphere. The food was good, service was fast, but it was a little expensive. If you are looking for Italian, you'd be better off heading to Little Italy.

Late dinner on business trul

By sakflva |

I stopped by bc I was staying at the four points. The service was great. They were attentive and helpful. I ordered a garden salad and chicken Marsala. The salad was large but good with super fresh tomatoes. The chicken was a large portion and good too. My only comment is with ice tea you typically get refills not here though.

Old school comfy Italian

By travelermike_11 |

We had a party of 4 adults and one 8 month old, so we needed a place kid friendly. Harrys has a wonderful old school Italian atmosphere, not too noisy but just enough so you can talk away. There were a mixture of large groups and couples, plus a TV that didn't detract. This is a fairly large place with wooden tables spread out in an eclectic pattern, we were lucky to get a place by the windows. No waiting, even during Christmas season, we went at 530pm, and the pace of the service was perfect, not rushed but attentive. Ordered appetizers, the Moossmann's oven baked chicken wings(about a dozen?) which were tasty and moist, a side dish of Mozzarella&Tomato, a bit of a small portion but good, and an Old fashioned Square pizza to which we added 3 toppings, all good amounts. This meal was plenty for 4 people, the pizza was the best i've had in a long taste, full of flavor and the crust cooked perfectly, and not too pricey considering it's NYC. We added a nice carafe of red House Wine which hit the spot. This a a place anyone would enjoy and being in the Financial District area, not crazy busy like Midtown since it's off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. Highly recommend this place, you will feel relaxed and not disappointed.

Delicious lunch dining without the wait

By menecee |

Exploring New York you get hungry. Popped into Harry's for lunch a beautiful afternoon. There is outdoor seating, but we decided to stay inside to eat. Nice atmosphere and a very friendly staff. There was not a wait and we were seated immediately, our order was served promptly and was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Good food but the menu’s confusing

By 777pj777 |

Firstly the food that we ate here was excellent. We had pizza and salad. Our confusion was with the menu - not being from New York, it was not clear to us what the pizza options were. Our waiter didn’t really help either - he was clearly disengaged and it felt like we were just causing him issues. At the end of the day, we had a nice lunchtime meal - I would have preferred that that wait staff were just a bit more helpful.

Great food, really enjoyable

By joeyboy79 |

Great food, really enjoyable evening, large portions and friendly service, will come back again soon

Wonderful Pizza

By Pat H |

Assorted slices of pizza one slice enough for 2 people. I had the mushroom pizza which was tasty. No place to sit standing room only

Very solid lunch place-I will return

By patj0hn |

Went to the one in Battery Park outside of Brookfield Place. Could not get into Shake Shack and we did not let bad reviews deter me. I thought service was very good, nice waitstaff. Awful bread with oil to start but the lunch prices were very fair for the quality and taste. The proscioutto and mozzarella sandwich was fabulous and a very decent bowl of vodka penne. Bill not more than what we would have paid at Shake Shack and though this was a busy time to stop and eat, everyone on staff was friendly, welcoming, and sandwich bread was great.

Fabulous Italian restaurant

By gregsouthcarolina |

Outstanding dinner— Caesar salad terrific and pizza was wonderful. Pasta was wonderful Full bar with great wine list and several draft beers

Fantastic!

By Linda M |

We stopped in for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised the food was so good. Ordered the house salad which was more than enough for two. The salad was fresh and delicious with the house dressing being a perfect match for the delicate greens! We then decided on a small pizza to share and it was perfect. Crust was delicious and it had just the right amount of everything. Waiter recommended a dry red wine which was a perfect compliment to our meal. Service was excellent as was the after lunch cappuccino. Will return here on our next visit!

Food is really really good but....

By Cooks1820 |

I really like this place. I have gone to it several times. I don't know if its me but I find that it has gotten a little pricey. $24.00 for shrimp parmesan without spaghetti to me was a little nuts. I couldn't understand why they couldn't include a small plate of pasta. But the shrimp parmesan was very good. And you can eat family style and they give great portion. Nice place, friendly people. The booth that I sat in was a little lumpy. :-)

Seating

By Ellen P |

I walked in on a Sunday at 1:25 and there was absolutely no one in the restaurant. I was alone and wanted to sit at a four top by the window. I was told I had to sit in a two top in the center of the room. They absolutely would not let me sit ant any of the other dozens of tables that were empty. I ended up leaving… so rude.

Yummy!

By Experience820984 |

Walked in and ordered food to go at the bar. Had drinks while waiting. Laura was warm, friendly bar tender with excellent service. Pizza and eggplant parm were delicious!

Pizza is amazing

By Michelle C |

Great staff, get the pizza and calamari. Old fashion's are also a must. I recommend this place and it's reasonably priced

Excellent food reasonable prices

By fkher |

Want a place with good food and reasonable prices in the financial district then go no further than Harry’s Italian. Good pizza excellent Italian comfort food all at reasonable prices. It has a nice bar and friendly staff as well. Something to keep in mind when you’ve had enough fine dining and just want to relax

Burnt stuffed mushrooms and a pretty good salad

By szatanek |

If I get burnt food in most cities or towns, I would not bat an eye. But in NYC? Seriously? Not cool. The menu is pretty large and the staff was nice. It looked clean.

Great Pizza with Awesome Service

By Amem18 |

I had been to Harry's years ago during a trip to the 9/11 Memorial and loved it so much I decided to bring my family this time around. It definitely didn't disappoint this time around either. Great pizza, appetizers, and drinks! To top it off, we had very personable servers waiting on my family (mostly Spanish-speaking), but they were so sweet and were able to carry a conversation with us. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for authentic NY pizza in a comfortable setting.

Average food, big portions, quite pricey

By Liam W |

We chose Harry's Italian for lack of other local Italian options but we'd heard good things and it seems quite popular. We were allocated a table very quickly by our waitress who was very nice and polite. There can be no complaints with the service whatsoever it must be said. The menu was very uninformative and irritating because it listed dishes without a description. We are from the UK and for example we have no idea what Penne Vodka, Fettuccini Alfredo or Spaghetti and Broccoli is... No mention at all of what type of sauces, flavour or seasoning to expect. The waitress very kindly talked us through each option and we both went for Linguine Shrimp Zi Peppe. We were very surprised to see how big the portion sizes were, very impressed. Until we tasted it. The flavour was too bland and after a mouthful or two it became a chore to eat. Price wise it's more or less the same as every other New York restaurant but the food quality was not up to scratch. Not what we expected from a popular restaurant in a city which is said to pride itself on authentic Italian cuisine.

Best Italian meal I've EVER tasted anywhere!

By Woodssi |

Family were staying in a nearby Hotel, so handy for us to try. I had the absolute BEST lasagne that I've ever eaten. It was absolutely fantastic. All of the family were in agreement, that the food was truly excellent. Try their White Pie (ooh err), which is a pizza with a white cheese sauce (rather than the usual tomato base) for something a little different.

NYC Pizza Place

By Tim A |

Searched for a great pizza restaurant in Lower Manhattan. Great atmosphere and great food. Pizza was excellent but I must say the Baked Chicken Wings are simply unbelievably delicious. I am not one to exaggerate. The meal was amazing all-around. Only drawback for me was the drinks. We had Diet Coke and it was $3.50 glass. No refills. They didn't tell us this fact beforehand. I should of asked but still. Great place to sit down and eat and relax while out sight-seeing.

It's a great outdoor spot

By vadocnj |

Had diner with friends...a good meal all around. I had great baked clams and the rigatoni....very tasty. Eat outside and enjoy the ambience of NYC. We played the game of seeing how much the dog owner looked like his/her dog Service was great and very attentive.

Anniversary/Birthday

By Kenny P |

Food and atmosphere were excellent. Location is within the proximity of Ground Zero and the Wall Street area. Short walk from either.

Great Food, Busy Atmosphere

By PasssionateTraveler |

Four of us really enjoyed our meal here. Not really fine dining, more family oriented probably. Can do family style and highly recommend it for some dishes. Our chicken dish was excellent and one person had an eggplant dish that was excellent as well.

Good restaurant for a snack or something more substantial.

By Whitsellr |

Used the restaurant once during a recent New York stay. Staff friendly, Pizza excellent and variety of beer available.

Awesome pizza and great salad too!

By SJP |

We were visiting Wall St and came across this place and stopped for lunch. Very efficient service and a very busy place. We had one of the shrimp starters to share, then a round pizza (called pies) and house salad to share. Absolutely delicious!

Good Food, Loud Atmosphere

By starr35 |

We ordered the eggplant appetizer and I had the gnocchi tomato and basil as my entrée. Both were delicious! 4/5 stars due to my friend and I needing to shout at each other in order to have conversation, due to the loud music and lack of sound panels. The restaurant was only about half-full at the time and we were dinner outside of peak hours. Good atmosphere for drinks, poor atmosphere for dinner.

Great service, good food, kind of pricey

By Melissa F |

We enjoyed our visit to Harry’s. Our waiter and the other staff that came around to refill drinks we very attentive. The food was good, a bit expensive but the waiter was helpful with ordering the smaller size and sharing something so it helped. Overall I was happy with my experience here.

Delicious food and great service

By Viktoria J |

Great restaurant in a quiet location. Nice staff and delicious food at a fair price. We had half a tray of Old Fashioned Pizza, half with mushrooms and garlic. Very tasty!

Good pizza but there are so many good choices...

By Amy K |

Solid and dependable, a go-to for us. We love the old fashioned squares and the calamari here...all very flavorful and well prepared...salads are generous and delicious. Been here for dinner and lunch. At lunch time this place gets very crowded and loud so if you're looking for a place to talk, this probably isn't the best choice. Dinner is calmer. Service is good. No complaints...thank you for giving us a pizza we enjoy!

it was decent!

My girlfriend and I ate here on our first night in New York because it was right next to our hotel! It was nice in the inside and the service was good! The food was ok. I had the gnocchi and it was pretty bland, didn't have much flavor at all! My girlfriend had the lasagna! It was decent! I think if I went here again, I would order the pizza because i heard it was pretty good!

Burned

By pudge2000 |

We are visiting family in NYC and we're excited for authentic New York pizza. We ordered it for delivery. It smelled so good, but both pizzas were burned black on the bottom. The cheese on top was all dried out. A frozen grocery store pizza would have been better. Shame on them for delivering pizza that should have been thrown away.

A great find!

By BrezsTravels |

we were out walking after crossing the Brooklyn bridge and came across this on our way down to the stock exchange Really helpful service (gave us a nice table with space for our buggy and got us a highchair) the food was excellent and just what we wanted from an Italian and very reasonably priced!

Appalling

By Becky H |

Visited the second evening of our 5 day trip hoping for some authentic Italian food. Ended up with insipid watery tasteless sauce on a pasta dish, undercooked pasta, overcooked vegetables, and warm chicken covered in another watery sauce. Tasteless and a complete waste of $85. Very disappointed

Mouthwatering food!!

By Priscilla S |

Amazing and fresh food. We had gotten the gnocchi and the pizza. Highly recommend the pizza it is fantastic!!

Great place, Great service!

By Leandro G |

I was hosted at Four Points Hotel next door and just stepped in to order a pizza to go. For my surprise, the environment was awesome, service perfect and food, for sure, amazing. I Came back on the following day for few drinks and the good impression I had was maintained. I recommend!

Excellent dinner

By 74sunshine |

I looked up a million places on Yelp before we decided to leave our hotel room and just go next door to Harry's. It was a great decision. All of the food, drinks and desserts were delicious. I love eating Italian food when in NYC. Harry's was lowkey but also nice enough to feel like we were having a special dinner. Our server was amazing. Perfect way to end a hectic Thanksgiving weekend.

Ny style pizza

By Gabriel S |

New york pizza at its finest! I wanted authentic and they did not disappoint. I ordered the half red - half white pizza with pepperoni. It was too much food for lunch but i have a snack for later!

Huge Portion Italian Food

By JJPPWW |

Order Lasagna and Veal for dinner. We only ordered the single and it was huge. Anyway, if you want some good Italian food and you are hungry, this is the place to be...

Loved to food

By James S |

Food great. Service even better. Sarah was amazing as our waitress. Pizza was fabulous and the scallops appetizer and salad were quite good. I will be back because I saw many things on the menu that I want to try!

Excellent Downtown Italian Institution

By 888arthury |

Located on tiny Gold Street just off Maiden Lane, Harry's is an institution downtown. Seating is tight and they're always packed during lunch and dinner hours so get there early or late. Prices are very reasonable and food is delicious.

Pizza time

By Wendy W |

Shared a huge square Pizza with my son and we still had some to take home. We had half and half with some garlic bread, fab authentic Italian restaurant a must to visit when in the area. Not too far from Wall Street if our and about sight seeing

Food was Fantastic!!!

By BBoyDTF |

My son and I were in town and wanted a sit down Italian place near our hotel in the Financial District. We read the reviews for Harry’s and gave it a try. The service was a little slow, but the food was outstanding & you get quite a bit of food even for the single serving! I had spaghetti and meatballs ($21), and my son had Fettuccini Alfredo w chicken ($28). This was our favorite meal of the 7 days in NYC! Highly recommend Harry’s.

Pizza Lunch

By SINYC718 |

I have been to Harry’s Italian quite a few times for business lunches. The food is always consistent when we come in. There are usually ones around 12, so you could typically expect a bit of a wait during the wintertime. With the outdoor seating, summertime allows for more seating. The old fashioned pie is a definite favorite. Their regular pies are pretty good as well. The sauce is just right. The white pie is very good. Not to much of a fan of the fried calamari. It doesn’t have that crisp. They are just the rings, and are fairly light even at that. The chicken cutlet pies and sandwiches are awesome. Highly recommend that.

A great dinner at a great price

By Cindy c |

Can't find a negative comment to say about this restaurant or our experience. Four of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinners (chicken francese and shrimp with bow tie pasta and asparagus). Our waiter, Omar, was friendly, helpful and attentive. Portions were plentiful and delicious and the prices were surprising below what I expected to pay in NYC. Truly one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. Omar even gave us a carafe of wine on the house! I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Great Meal - Huge portions

By Lynda |

Lovely restaurant and food was great! Huge portions - as a couple we shared a small pizza, a side of broccoli and a side of meat balls (5 x size of tennis balls). We were stuffed and still had left overs. Service was 5* - my water glass was always topped up, fresh bread provided on arrival. Recommendations from staff were helpful. Popular place so it got a little loud Highly recommend

Nice food, maybe a bit pricy

By RuthH |

This was our first sit down evening meal of our holiday. It didn’t seem that busy inside, so we’re a bit unsure if we had made the right choice, but the food was good. For the four of us we ordered wings to start, two ‘small’ pizzas, two pasta dishes and some fries. Two beers, a glass of wine and 2 cokes. Portions were huge, I could only eat less than half of my small pizza and even my 15 year old who is eating for England at the minute couldn’t finish his pizza. The fries were unbelievable and we all enjoyed what we had. They offered to box up what we left, but we knew we wouldn’t end up eating it, so didn’t bother. I have nothing to compare to price wise, but it seemed expensive, over $200.

Not bad but not great

By Tinyte13 |

Stopped by the Rockefeller location for a slice. Everything looked really good. Just square slices. Had a regular slice that supposedly just came out of the oven. While it was tasty, sauce good, just the right amount of cheese I thought the dough itself seemed undercooked. It was on the chewy side.

Not a normal Pizza Restaurant

By Oliver H |

I've been here several times before and I felt always great. The service is extraordinary good. The Pizza is different compared to Italian and European Pizza. To give an example - the Calzone was served with the tomato sauce at the side. Made it an interesting experience, but definitely tasty. It's a great place to be - even if only for drinks!

A little bene, a little not so bene....

By michael H |

For the bene... pretty active place for this far downtown! Nice tv’s for sports and a good after work crowd. Service is friendly and prompt! Baked clams, salads and pizza were all solid!! No bene... they have no idea what to actually put on the tv’s, but that just might be nyc!!! And they were happy to switch! Most disappointing was the signature dishes were bland and too big... Bottom line... not a bad stop! And busy late

Different, but great.

By medicalmarinara |

I stopped by expecting to get the classic looking New York slice. Turns out, it is more so a Sicilian style square pizza. That being said, it was delicious. Would recommend for a quick bite when in the area.

Around the corner from the hotel

By Mlsalfelder |

Stopped in at lunchtime. Very busy and really loud. The food and service were good. I would have given a 5 star rating but it was just so loud in there. Not an intimate Italian restaurant, that’s for sure! Prices were decent city prices. They serve family style and pizza, too.

Excellent!

By Catherine H |

What a fabulous night with our family of 6! Fredy looked after us so well, explaining the menu to us Brits and recommending dishes for us. He even showed us meals that we were considering for our fussy kids. The food was so tasty and the house wine went down well! Highly recommended

Excellent Italian Restaurant

By Pat-Chantal |

We`ve been going to this restaurant every time we go to New York and the food is excellent. The staff is amazing and very friendly. We definitely recommend it and will be back for sure.

Fresh and authentic Italian and great atmosphere.

By Matt H |

My wife, son, and I ate here on a visit to New York because it was close to our hotel. Very authentic Italian. Excellent pasta! I had Fettuccine Alfredo and it was more than I could eat. Wife and son both had the Baked Macaroni and said it was very good.

A place to put on your DO NOT VISIT list.

By WorldCF |

A group of 25 business professionals visiting from around the country - we booked a dinner at Harry's because they could handle a group this size. One reason for the dinner was to salute a member of our group who recently passed away suddenly. The person's favorite drink was McCallum scotch so I had purchased a bottle and the plan was to have a toast as part of our gathering. I asked the manager how we could best accomplish this and he responded " you have to realize I am in business here to make money. I would have to charge you as if you purchased the drinks from me." We spent $1,000 bucks for the meal. His attitude in my opinion was extremely greedy. Now to the meal - lots of food, served family style, pretty good service. But the food was really bad. Every pizza served was burnt and the pasta was very blah. Table bread was very dry and flavorless. In summary, bad food, greedy attitude. I certainly will never go there again and can't recommend the place to anyone else.

Excellent

By RAymond T |

The food and service was exceptional. Its location is ideal and they stay open late. The restaurant attracted a large lunch crowd prior to pandemic it is very popular

Delicious Food/Excellent Service

By Glynn B |

The service at Harry's was impressive. The wait staff was very attentive and was able to juggle the orders of the large part that I was with at the time. The food was incredible. Large portions at reasonable prices.

Great local eatery!

By Javier U |

Best Pizza and Italian food. Have been here several times and the food and drinks are always on point!

Great food, large portions.

By Foodyone |

Lively atmosphere. Quick and friendly service. Big portions, pizza was excellent. Family size servings or single servings. Terramisu was excellent. Kind of noisy, but that's part of the atmosphere.

Poor poor service but good food

By Jill B |

We arrived at 11:35 for brunch. Doors were locked, although we read they were suppose to open at 11:30. Someone finally came to the door and unlocked it. We were shown to a table that was as close to the kitchen as you could get. The first 15 minutes we were not even waited in for drinks or to have our order taken but we had to listen to all the dishes clanking around.... Very disturbing since the rest of the restaurant was wide open!!! Finally about 20 minutes later someone finally took our order. Truly, I would have left, but my daughter in law had suggested it, and I didn't want her to feel badly, I told her it was ok we would wait. I will tell you that I then saw two other tables of people get up and leave because they had not be waited on, and another gentleman went and asked the manager of they could be waited on. That being said, the items we ordered off the brunch menu were very tasty and enjoyable.

Delicious Surprise!

By mplstravel |

We weren't expecting a terrific experience at what looked like a formula Italian restaurant in the Financial District, but that's what we got! Our waitress was super friendly and so helpful in advising on portions, sauces, etc. The portions were great and so were the prices. The food was delicious; Italian but not too rich or sauce heavy.

Great food, fast delivery, and a lot for the money!

By jeremyf894 |

I asked for a recommendation for pizza from the Residence Inn hotel staff as I wanted to stay in that evening and get some work done. I was given 3 options, Harry's being the one I chose. The prices seemed high but I decided to run with it. I ordered a side caesar salad, a small square pie, and tiramisu. I understand the cost now. It actually was enough for two complete meals, which made it a decent value. The salad was fresh and very tasty. The pizza was fantastic - great crust, fresh topics, just enough cheese and sauce without being too much. The tiramisu was light but very sweet and I could only eat half of it at once. The said delivery would take up to an hour. They called from the hotel entrance in about 50 minutes. It was a great experience and I'd definitely order from there again. In fact, I'd actually like to eat in the restaurant next time.

Dinner

By Linda S |

Seating was quick, food was good. Service was with a smile and fresh water. It was a little loud, even in the dinning area.

Good Food

By James H |

They serve a lot of food so try to share plates. The service was very good. It is a little pricey but not a lot in the neighborhood.

Best Italian in the area

By aforano |

Food was perfect! service was great! we loved the food so much we ate here 3 times, baked clams were cooked to perfection as was the veal parm

Late lunch

By Nigel L |

Really busy but decent service. Fantastic large pizza to share and a couple of drinks. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Manhattan.

Late lunch

By Rudder_60 |

This place divides opinion. We had pizzas and pasta. The pizzas were given the thumbs up but the pasta sauces were a bit ‘lets open a can of tomatoes and heat it up’ . Service was attentive but overall it was expensive for the quality of the pasta dishes. I wouldn’t eat here again myself.

Great food, and service

By amcoult |

We had a really nice meal at this restaurant. We got meatballs and pizza. It was a relaxing atmosphere after a long day in the city.

Great lunch

By AndrewGrove80 |

Popped into this restaurant as it was right beside our hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. Large portions and great service. Everything we ordered was delicious.

Pleasant Meal

By djhall1 |

We had the (pizza) Vesuvian Pie and Spaghetti Pomodora.Setting was really nice and noise level OK -though it was a quiet Tuesday evening.Bread is provided free which was nice.Portions are big! -and those were hall-portions.I would say the cost was average for NYC now -and I took half my hall pizza home for another meal. Recommended.

Had a takeout pizza from Harry's; the most expensive takeout I have ever had!

By Mark O |

I was staying across the road so was keen to try Harry's. The location is great, the restaurant looks good and so I went for a large pizza, but had it for takeout. To my surprise it was $51 including gratuity. That was definitely the most expensive pizza i have ever had. It tasted good but not in my mind the value that I anticipated. Would like to try as a sit down meal but will look at prices first lol

I want more of that penne!

By Darlene M |

We ate dinner here as it was near our hotel. A good selection of beer and food. I had the Penne with Meat Sauce and Peas - the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. A huge serving that I could not finish and wished I could have taken the rest back to the hotel but I had no fridge. I will be thinking about that pasta dish for some time! Service was good - restaurant was not busy at all. Prices not high by New York standards.

Italian in Financial District

By Working S |

Don't bother with Eataly downtown unless you just want a view and the food doesn't matter. Harry's Italian on Gold St. has fresh homemade pasta, great clams and linguine, wonderful caesar salad and good wine. Service is a little brusque but prompt and efficient. Tomato sauce is mild and sweet, the real thing. Since it's a bar as well, there are tv's in every room. The sound is off in the dining area however. The portions are large.

More than a Pizza Bar

By Shadmonster |

Finding a good family restaurant is always a roll of the dice when traveling, especially when the choices are endless. We found this gem in NYC and it did not disappoint us. I could talk about the food and how great it tasted, but I'd much rather complement the staff. The service was outstanding and rivaled service provide with a fancy restaurant. The staff was super friendly, flexible and were happy, yes happy, to answer any question I tossed at them. The decor is what I call casual Italian. The atmosphere felt friendly. Oh, and the food was delicious with good sized portions. Will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in NYC.

Great food thin crust pizza and portions for the price

By JeffreyFireIsland |

I think they have the best thin crust pizza around. Has that little char here and there fresh basil and tomatoes and pieces of mozzarella. The pepperoni sliced thin is unreal. The stuffed mushrooms and eggplant are food starters as well as the house salad All portions are family style and can serve 4 Chicken and veal parm delicious. Their chicken Godzilla is actually what we call Milanese and is a go to. Pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe is always great. Their shrimp and sole aware always good stand byes for the diet crowd. To end try the best cannoli this side of the Atlantic!

Lovely meal at this diner

By Amycmorrison |

Staff were friendly and accommodating for our group of 8. Restaurant was immaculately clean as were the restrooms. Food was prepared quickly, a plus when dining with children. Limited children’s menu which was unfortunate, though we found this was the norm in NYC.

Food is horrendous - wasted potential

By IrishJo |

First impressions were great. Lovely setting and atmosphere. But food was the worst I’ve ever had - and was our most expensive meal of our week in New York as a family of 4. My son and I both ordered the lasagne. My daughter and husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. Our meal arrived at our table literally five minutes after we ordered - not a good sign. I can handle microwaved meals but that wasn’t the problem. The lasagne had one tiny layer of meat and about five layers of congealed pasta sheets stuck together. Really unpleasant. My son said the same. Spaghetti meatballs only ok. I am really angry at myself for not sending it back. But we’re Irish so just smiled. When I got back to Ireland I saw that more than the tip amount I wrote on the receipt at payment was taken (I left 20%). It was about an extra $8 which I wasn’t bothered following up on with my bank. But not a good reflection of the restaurant. It really is a lovely spot - just don’t eat here!

Ate here twice it was so good!

By Deborah Z |

Had dinner one day and lunch on another. The food was delish! Come hungry because it is good sized servings. Wait staff was nice.

Good service, terrible food

By Daniel |

With this being our second night of staying in NYC, we thought we would try out Harry’s for a meal with it being in close proximity to our hotel. The service cannot be faulted and the staff were smiling, friendly and generally attentive. The food however (pasta and meatballs) - arrived at the table within 5 minutes of placing the order which consequently meant the pasta tasted dry and reheated, the meatballs were verging on cold in the middle and the sauce looked as if it had seen better days. Neither of us ate more than half of our food. It’s not cheap either hence the our disappointment. Would not recommend at all.

THE WORST linguine ever!!!

By Sai R |

We had bought tickets to go to the "One World" observatory for 2.30pm. So we ended up in this restaurant as the place we planned to go next door had a huge line up. I ordered a basic white sauce linguine and my husband a marinara pasta. My husbands plate was all boring with tons of garlic and pasta sauce. My linguine was NOT cooked well and literally chewy and salty. I had my first bite and called the waiter and sent my plate back and asked them to get whatever they had in the kitchen as we didn't have much time to wait. My plate (same plate) came back and all they did is that they cooked the linguine and the sauce was salty then before. I recognised my plate as I had eaten one clam and the empty clam shell was still sitting in that plate. I just cannot believe that this restaurant calls themselves as "Italian" food and they are far from "Italian" food and looks like a guy/ chef who has NO idea what Italian food is...must be cooking. Do yourself a favor and PLS go elsewhere.

Good Eatery Recommended by Locals

By TheHerb |

Restaurant recommended by hotel was closed(weekend on Wall Street) Met a couple walking on street and asked for a place to eat. Walked us t Gold Street and said that they always went to Harry"s. Excellent food and service, reasonable prices for area . Had Veal and Chicken Sanltttimbocca. delicious with cold Prosecco and shared decadent warm brownie. Most patrons appeared to be local residents

A nugget on Gold Street

Good service, great food, large portions - a great atmosphere full of New Yorkers. The stuffed mushrooms are fantastic

DOWNTOWN ITALIAN

By jazgirl1 |

Comfortable setting. Attentive wait staff and good service. We enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms and baked clams as our appetizer. We chose individual meals instead of family style but the portions were so generous we thought they had served us 2 family style portions.

Proper Italian food

By Surf1973 |

The first place we ate in New York and it didn't disappoint. We were taken here by locals who knew the place very well which was just as well as we would never have found it. The service was very good but the food was amazing, I only had a share of the family lasagna and it was fantastic, when I was cutting a portion I thought it felt solid and it was. It was so packed with pasta meat and sauce. I would recommend everyone should try it at least once (I had seconds). Would I go again. If I could find it without a doubt, very well priced quick and very tasty and filling and I believe open nearly all night.

Great Italian Sunday Brunch

By Marlana D |

I visited Harry’s Italian for the first time this past weekend for a Sunday brunch. We were a group of eight people celebrating my friend’s 27th birthday. Harry’s offers a pre-fixe brunch menu advertising $28.95 for one entrée and bottomless mimosas for a two-hour dining experience. Upon arrival for our 12PM reservation, we were promptly seated in a corner booth visible to their TV showing the weekly Sunday football game highlights. The pre-fixe menu offers multiple entrée dishes that include variations of frittatas, paninis and pizzas. I ordered the potato, pancetta, and caramelized onion pizza which was served in a large eight sliced square pie. The crust was crispy with a very fresh, tasty and satisfying combination of ingredients. I had to take a portion of my pizza to-go since I was already filling up on the bread they put out on the table before being served our main dishes. Some other favorites at the table included “The Aftermath” which were French fries topped and coated with mozzarella, meat sauce and two sunny side eggs. Additionally, the arugula, prosciutto and shaved parmesan pizza were also big hits. It did not appear there was any bad selection to choose from off the menu. Not to mention, our server was very attentive to our table’s continuous mimosa replenishment. Everyone in our party enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service for the occasion. We walked out each spending $38.00 including tax and tip. Since everyone in our party was from New Jersey, the only inconvenience about Harry’s is getting into the city and having to trek downtown. However, I would happily dine at Harry’s again in the future if my friends requested to make the trip. It is worth the investment for a good quality NYC Italian dining experience.

Great quick pizza

Wre stopped for a quick bite of lunch. Their pizza is very good and service is quick. Highly recommend this place.

Authentic Italian in NYC

By NosfromMaroubra |

Selected this place on spec not long after arriving & checking into our hotel. Sat outside on a warm evening with a couple of beers and some fine Italian meals. We had a veal with lemon and a spag with oil & garlic. Friendly service & very reasonably priced. We could not have asked for a better intro on our 1st night here.

Okay, definitely expected more

By Amy C |

This was near my hotel, and it looked appealing. I sat outside, and after I got comfortable, the waiter told me it was a smoking section. I decided to stay since nobody was smoking near me. I just wish it had been marked where the smoking section was. I was brought some bread and olive oil for an appetizer, but neither was special. I would have liked some flavor to my food. I ordered the lasagna and the portion was huge! However, there was not a lot of filling to the lasagna and it was mostly overcooked noodles with sauce and cheese. Price was not ridiculous for portion size ($17), but I've definitely had better Italian food elsewhere. I think Fazoli's may have tastier lasagna. Would probably not go back here unless possibly to try pizza but not pasta dishes.

Burnt offerings

By Jay |

Ordered a pizza which turned up to the table burnt. Sent it back which wasn't a problem. The replacement pizza arrived...burnt! Would not recommend and avoid at all cost!

Disappointing

By Robert W |

Stopped off for a few drinks before deciding to book a table, bad mistake. The waiter didn't have much of a clue coupled by a couldn't give a monkeys attitude. Our starters were served at the same time as our mains which we sent back only for them to be served freezing cold ! They did take the starters off the bill which was probably the bare minimum we would have accepted . Won't be back.

NIce place

By willgero |

Stopped by for a quick bite and a drink. Great selection of beers and bourbons, Pizza was good pasta as well

Too pricey for just ok food

By Angela M |

Went because it was close to hotel. Service was good but food we ordered was bland. Mozzarella with tomatoes was not the fresh mozzarella you would expect from a NYC restaurant. Gnocchi is comprable to to grocery store quality. Sauce is bland.

Wouldn’t recommend.

By UkSleepyhead |

Too dark to see what you’re eating. Stuffed mushrooms had no flavour. Alfredo was drowning in cream and bland. Disappointing meal.

Best brunch around

By laurkoep |

I went to Harry's for brunch on Saturday with my friends. It had an awesome brunch deal with fantastic food and a great drink deal! You could get a huge meal and bottomless mimosas and bloody mary's for 2 hours. The waiters were very attentive! I would definitely recommend.

Delicious, fresh food!

By k9lover68 |

Was here with a group for pizza.....so fresh and delicious! Not overdone, crust was thin but enough to hold the toppings. The veggie pizza was amazing! The Margherita pizza was awesome too. Lighting was a little dim but it didn't take away from the flavor!

Great

By Abdulameed A |

The restaurant is good to taste the real italian food . They serve pizza and calzones and macaroni and salads. There is section for bar with different drinks selection. One of the best restaurants in new york

Nice outside seating

By Tom C |

We were on our way to a different restaurant for lunch but saw people were sitting outside as we walked by Harry's so decided to stop there. I had the grilled chicken sandwich which was very good (and large). My wife had a salad that she was really happy with. The service was excellent! Nest time we're in NYC we'll stop by to try the pizza!

Great pizza

By Courtney J |

Harry's was a great combination of upscale, yet family friendly. We had a large group of 9 people including 3 children and where seated right away. It was mid-afternoon when we went to Harry's. The waiter was attentive to our needs and patient with the kids. The pizza was excellent. Traditional New York style. I would definitely go back.

Where not to eat

By BekahBaker1976 |

Cold, damp pizza that tasted as if it had been left somewhere for a few days. Never again, worst pizza I’ve had in NYC!

Three Of My Favorites, All At Once

By WasOnce |

I had dinner here with a co-worker: ordered a glass of delicious Sauv. Blanc (from Argentina! at a decent price point of $9) + veal parm + a side of spaghetti. All were just what I was looking for in a nice Italian meal. In particular, the pasta was cooked to perfection, the sizeable pieces of veal were fork-tender and the wine had all of the crisp attributes of my preferred New Zealand Sauv. Blanc. Service was unhurried and friendly. Bread service is pretty unremarkable. I will definitely plan to return here in the future.

Courteous Staff and Goop Pizza

By Nick B |

We were traveling with quite a group of ten family members. It was St. Patrick's day so everything was pretty packed, even in the financial district. They found a spot for us when - frankly - it would have been much easier to turn us away. Would recommend for family or for friends.

Amazing meal at Harry's Italian !

By Janie R |

We had dinner at Harry's Italian on a Friday night and it was the best. It was crowded but we never had to wait for our waiter, service was perfect ! Drinks were good and the food was amazing. I recommend this place !

Very busy Italian Bar / Restaurant

By MrsBumps |

I made a reservation for 7pm on a Friday night during our stay in NYC. We arrived at 6.55pm to find no front of house to greet us. Someone just casually asked how many it was for, and not interested in the fact I had made a reservation. He walked off. The bar was very busy and noisy with no where for us to sit. More people turned up and we were all waiting in the bar. At 7.15 I asked when our table would be ready and reminded them that I had a 7pm reservation. I was told that they had lots of overrunning Christmas parties (not really my problem). We were then offered a table (with high stools) in the very noisy bar area which I declined. We'd come out for a meal on the last night of our holiday and didn't really want to be shouting at one another. We were finally seated at 7.40pm. Service was fine. My husband ordered a glass of Merlot, he was brought a bottle of Miller, maybe it was the English accent! It was quickly changed with an apology. Food ok, portions massive and if we had known we would've shared a pasta and salad between us. No room for dessert! Probably would not go back. Felice just across the road is much more our kind of restaurant and I wish we had gone there again for our last night.

5 de Mayo at Harry's

By Mike F |

Coronas were cold, was given whacky Corona sun-glasses and a t-shirt, free mini margaritas, all to celebrate 5 de Mayo. Grabbed a scrumptious pizza - forgot, made the old mistake of ordering the large - no one person can finish that amount of food, the fresh garlic was still repeating a day later! Great afterwork retreat.

NYC Dinner

By jerilyn32 |

We walked in, and asked if we wanted a table, we sat down and then the waitress gave us water, and then asked us if we wanted anything to drink, I got a Moscato, which was real good, and Sabria got a house wine (white) and then we were asked if we wanted appetizers , we had bread brought to the table when we got our water, but we had shrimp with tomato sauce, and then we ordered and got a family salad Caesar salad, and then we got shrimp ,with asparagus and bow tie pasta, yummy!

lunch after visiting 9/11 Memorial

By travelwoman16 |

12 of us decided to go to lunch after visiting the memorial, we were given this suggestion by a security guard. When we got to the restaurant we just walked up and told them we had twelve people. Within 10 minutes they had our spot ready. We were impressed. We got pizza and let me tell you they are big enough for three people. The food came out fresh, hot and quick. We had no complaints. average pricing and quick service served our needs for lunch.

Delicious food, and a warm welcome

By Emily H |

Went twice during a business trip. First visit had Antipasti and Calzone, both of which were not only superb but also enormous in portion size! - Bill was normal for NYC, service attentive and not intrusive. Second visit went for stuffed mushrooms, which were a little greasy but the Veal Pizzaiola was excellent, very tender, tasty sauce and a large portion again. Would definitely revisit if in New York - pizzas looked great but I was all pizza'd out by that point!

Bad service and average food.

By Julian G |

The waiters were not helpful at all and mostly put stuff on the table but not more than that. A simple "is everything alright" was apparently too much. When getting the bread you'll receive an empty cup on the side where you'll have to poor olive oil yourself from the bottle that was already standing on the table. Even when serving the plate the food fell off the plate because the waiter threw down the plate so uncarefully. Be careful when ordering wine because there are multiple wines with the same name but different prices! The waiters charge the more expensive wine! The restaurant has metal seats outside making it look like a cheap fast food bar but the inside looks cosy. When entering inside you will notice the loud music and the temperature is as if being in a freezer. AC could not be adjusted according to the waiter. The ordered food was not very special. It's just like the average pasta you'd make at home with cheap grocery shoppings. Conclusion: my experience wasn't very good at this restaurant.

Just OK Food and Service. And Noisy Too

By TommyBoy94 |

Everything here was just OK. The Veal Parm was decent. The pasta seemed all right. The pizza looked good and service at the bar was, again, just OK. You would have liked a somewhat less fatty peace of veal...and it would have been nice if the bartender spent as much time checking out empty glasses at the bar as she did chatting with the regulars. Still, not putting her down...she did her job in a moderately pleasant manner. Sauce was mediocre as well. The place was mobbed at one point for lunch and the noise level was awfully high...which did not prevent you from hearing the clatter of dropped china, cutlery and glassware. Again, not especially negative, but I guess I expect more from a lower Manhattan Italian restaurant not so distant from the homes at the turn of the last century where Italian immigrants (my Grandmother included) created culinary magic for their families on grand Sundays.

Good pizza, lovely cocktails

We called into Harry's Pizza the evening we arrived in NYC mainly because it was over the road from our hotel and we were so tired! We didn't regret it, we were going to order two individual pizzas but the waiter suggested one big pizza on a half and half basis. It was lovely! Cocktails were also very good.

A warm and friendly restaurant with great food Portions can be ordered in family or personal sized elections and are tasty and enjoyable.

Excellent pizza

This place isn't the traditional thin slice pizza but it's great. Order the square with just a couple of toppings

Nothing Special

This restaurant has zero personality - from the bland sauce to the undercooked broccoli to the boring decor, I honestly don’t know anybody would eat here. And also, chicken Parmesan was hard and rubbery.

Will return!

Our family of 6 had an early dinner here during peak holiday season in NYC. The service (before the real dinner rush) was LIGHTNING QUICK. Portions very generous. Prices quite reasonable for NYC -- anyone who says otherwise hasn't eaten enough meals in the city. Yes, it's more expensive than back home. Sorry. Food ranged from pretty good to very good. This is a safe choice for families and large groups, because there's something for everyone -- vegetarians, adventurous diners, and play-it-safers.

Amazing New York Pizza

By Redd R |

Visited the restaurant with a group of friends after a day of business. For a large group, we were served relatively quickly. The wait staff was very attentive and the pizza was great. This was my first visit to Harry's and I plan on visiting again when I'm back in New York. The prices were definitely affordable for a large city.

Bad service and tasteless food

I ordered pasta with shrimp and asparagus and it was tasteless; the worst shrimp I have ever had. The waiter didn't have a good attitude and delayed into providing menus and taking our orders. I don't want to visit this place ever again.
