Best experience ur money can get in nyc Amazing ambiance ,service and the food delicious Best of Tel Aviv in nyc One thing u need to have reservations

Hasalon was definitely a fun dining experience coupled with an energetic atmosphere and middling service, but truth be told, the cuisine was very good, but certainly not exceptional to say the least. Furthermore, the establishment is decidedly overpriced even by New York standards for what one is served. With that said, having sampled a solid menu selection, the Ricotta Clouds are not to be missed aside from the $31.00 appetizer sized price tag. A shout out though must go to the pastry chef whose creations are all wonderfully brilliant and incomparable.

It was so much fun.Like a big party. The staff was friendly, funny and having a good time. The food was good.Would love coming back here.

Eyal Shani’s HaSalon is a terrific restaurant with fabulous and creative food and a menu that changes daily. Go with a group so you can order lots of dishes. Based upon Middle Eastern classics, new ingredients and flavors make each dish totally original. We went early and the entertainment was high and people were having fun. And that is before the place turns into a major league party. We’ll be back

Had an amazing meal at HaSalon. Every dish we ordered was fantastic and the cocktails were amazing as well. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable about the food and wine. We sat at the kitchen bar and watched the food being prepared which was so much fun. What a great night!

Food is top quality, all freshly prepared (if you sit at the kitchen counter you can follow the whole preparation of the meals). I would call it a traditional Mediterranean cooking (tomato, herbs, olive oil, salt, pepper) at a very high quality level. However, the prices are ridicolous..totally overpriced even for NYC standards. (example 24 USD for a small Tomato salad; 40 USD for a pulpo starter). Wine list is rather short (strangely despite the more southern&eastern Mediterranean food mostly french wines on the list) and also overpriced (lowest price bottle starts at 100 USD). Service is OK (again not in line with the price point of the restaurant), very friendly, very relaxed atmosphere. A fun night out but not worth the money&price (expect to spend at least 300 USD per person if you want to have a full meal, a drink and have a decent bottle of wine).

The most fun and amazing place I went for dinner in NYC!!!! Had so much fun!! Amazing staff, the food is good but the atmosphere is unique!!! There is no way you stay still in your chair! Wished it did not close midnight, I could have stayed there until daylight

I hosted a party for 22 people there a recent Saturday night. Everyone from the chef, whom we spoke to about the menu a few days prior, to the manager, Maton, to our principal waiter, Ben, were accommodating, genuinely hospitable and a delight to deal with. I could not have asked for better service from top to bottom. On top of that, the food was fabulous, the portions were generous, the music was fun and upbeat and the place was not overcrowded. We had a blast. Thank you, Eyal, Maton and Ben for giving us such a wonderful evening.

The prices definitely on the high side But you are getting good food good ingredients The ambience is excellent Overall a great experience They should have advertised that this restaurant cost between 150-200$ per person and that will be the end of it I will definitely be back

We heard about it from friends. Heard it was impossible to get in. Kept calling and there was a cancellation. Had a drink at the bar before dinner. Nice and quite. Entered the restaurant which is boisterous and busy. Food is really good. Place is loud and fun, but expensive. Probably won’t be regulars, but will keep it in mind for special occasions.

We so wanted this to be amazing. But alas, it really was not. Sure, some of the dishes were tasty. But some were surprisingly bland. The portions were of the pretentious, minimalist ilk. Drink choices were limited. Service was just okay. Prices were obscene. We left hungry and underwhelmed by the overall experience.

Food is fine, not much beyond that, great staff, but the prices are really not worth all this... excessive and unnecessary...

We did the first seating and the pricing should be different for the earlier seating. The later seating is very different and a lot more fun where the place turns into a club. I love Israeli food and it WAS delicious but pricing is totally obnoxious. And service is brusque & not overly warm. We were reminded at least 3times that our table would be needed in 2 hours. For $200 pp they need to rethink service and pricing if they want to stay in business. No plans to return.

I saw an article on Eater about how good it was, and wanted to try it with the other members of my family. It was odd that they didn’t have any prices online, but many nice restaurants, or new restaurants don’t have them. We got to the restaurant, sat down and looked at the utterly confusing menu, staring intently at the ridiculous prices. A corn dish that was $32 and a leek dish that was around the same, overpriced wine, and most shocking of all, fish that was $169!! We only had those three dishes and left, still almost 400 dollars. We were so surprised and it wasn’t even that special. Other than the fish, the portion sizes were small, and the fish was over cooked anyway. The people working there think the food is so amazing, but truthfully I’ve had much better meals around the city. I wouldn’t recommend it. Other people also looked dismayed. The staff didn’t have much to do, they just talked to each other. To me it’s only bad memories. All around disappointing, especially since we didn’t have much variety.

The food was fresh, but nothing was outstanding considering the $350 bill for two people. ($24 tomato anyone?) If you want to dance on a table and feel ‘wild’ then I guess you could get your kicks here for a price - but this concept is far from original. There is an absurd arrogance from some of the staff and we were asked to wrap up after 1hr 50min because the reservation was strictly 2 hours. Hopefully they can keep the tourists coming because as a Manhattanite I won’t be returning.

Food is exceptional, service is great, and atmosphere is unmatched. Prices are high, but worth every penny for this incredible experience. I have been to so many restaurants all over Manhattan and this one blows them all away. Will be coming back every single time I am in NY.

If I could give negative stars I would. It was meant to be a prepaid prix fix nye dinner. We were a party of 6, sat for three hours without any good. We ordered three expensive liquor bottles which came out right away. No follow up of requests for appetizers, water or any expected food. Everything that was promised was not fulfilled. We had to leave after 4.5 hours to go and get dinner somewhere else. Absolutely dispicable service, no follow through, no dinner, no water. Server, kept avoiding us abs telling us that the food will be right out. The alcohol bottle prices are egregious on top of which 20% gratuity was charged as well as an additional 20% nye gratuity. Gratuity that was not deserved at all since there was no service. We had to repeatedly ask for our order of water. We will never return and will dispute the charges on the credit card for “prix fix nye dinner” which was not available.

Loved our experience at HaSalon. The food quality, service and lively atmosphere were great. The ingredients are simple but of highest quality and prepared with thought and loving attention to detail. Chef Eyal is a master of his craft. We ate some of the best octopus I’ve had, and we live in a city where octopus is a mainstay at restaurants with a easy supply of local and foreign delivered options. Our server was very personable, and while delivery is done in a casual friendly manner, attention to detail and ensuring a good experience was a clear priority. We had a 9pm reservation and glad we got to experience a little over an hour where we could focus on the food, wine, and the chef and crew, as we were seated at the kitchen counter. Transitioning to a fun dance party as the evening went on was a lot of fun. We live on the West coast but will return next time we are in NYC and told our local friends to give it a try.

I literally fell in love with this restaurant. Hasalon is not just a restaurant - it is an experience you will not forget. I cannot wait to return as soon as possible. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated. The ambience, music, decor and the service were all top notch. But then? the food. The food started coming out and each dish was more incredible than the last. There were dishes that sounded simple on paper but exploded with flavor- the freshness, and perfection of the gastronomical experience is unparalleled. Our group ordered many dishes, and we ended up tasting each others' in delight. There was not one mediocre dish on the table. Even the dessert was unforgettable.

Fun atmosphere. 5 stars for that. But the 3 stars are for the food. High end prices for less than average food. Nothing to write home about. DJ and music was awesome. The dancing was fun. Again, the food...meh.

Great atmosphere, I mean really great atmosphere, people dance around their tables (and sometimes on their chairs) during dinner. The food is not spectacular, but I really enjoyed it, but I like simple Middle Eastern food in general. The best dish, by far, was the burek which was so good, that itself is worth going back.

Just had an amazing meal at HaSalon this weekend, but it is extremely overpriced for what it is. Every dish was very delicious, but the portions are tiny for the price. A sashimi platter for $178 for maybe 18 slices plus some caviar. We ordered the Sea Bream which was amazing, but 120$ for a relatively small piece of fish. An eggplant starter for ~25$ which was outstanding, but just a few bites worth. We also had 2 pasta dishes which were fantastic (garlic pasta and a ravioli) but again a really small portion. The service was impeccable, the servers were friendly and knowledgeable. 20% gratuity was automatically included. Also had a dessert plate for a birthday , which was yummy but 99$ ! So overall amazing food, but really small portions,…just be prepared to empty your wallet.

I have lived in NYC for over 30 years and have been blessed to be able to experience so much the city has to offer. This past Saturday we went to Hasalon with 3 other couples. We had a round table and did the 9pm seating. All I will say is be prepared to let loose and unhinged. We let the waiter order for us and ordered a round of drinks and jumped into the ocean of fun. We danced, we laughed and we had the time of our life! We were oblivious to all the other tables but later in the evening did notice that we were not the only ones signing, dancing, etc. An amazing experience!

Having been to Port Said in Tel Aviv and Miznon in several locations I was expecting this restaurant to be on fire. I enjoy middle Eastern and mediterranean cuisine. The ambiance and vibe are very good. The service was excellent but the dishes were not great given the price and even the taste of the food. The green sald was just ok. The mushroom steak had very little flavour. The sea bass was very good but compared to other fish restaurants not worth the price. The Meshulash was ok. I was expecting a wow factor from this chef and I left thinking that NYC has so many great restaurants that when I visit sometimes I return to ones I know and some times I try new ones. Unfortunately I would not return here. This is not easy for me to say!

Ultra expensive, the food was nice, the service was ok, but for the price you would expext something else, much more like a michellin awarded restaurant. The architecture is like a guastavino place un nyc redone.

If you’re looking for a fun dinner party this is the place. This place makes you feel like you’re in Mykonos. The staff is so fun and help start the party. I suggest getting a late reservation, order food slowly and keep the drinks flowing. We were 9 people and had a 3 hour dinner at $250/person and I would do it all over again. The music was great and it was perfect for us since we didn’t want to go clubbing after - the vibe came to us!

The staff is generally polite, BUT there is a huge BUT, the horror was when we were moved from one table to another place due to the fact that our dinner time ended at another place, without allowing us to drink the newly ordered bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne, we only drank 2 not full glasses. After we were moved, it turned out that our almost full bottle of champagne had “accidentally” run out. It was extremely disgusting and not beautiful. The waiter, realizing the complaint, disappeared. Therefore, for this gross oversight I give this establishment a 1. From now on, I advise all clients to monitor and check the presence of alcohol at the table. Also, this establishment does not have champagne glasses.
Not at all worth it
Absolutely not worth it. Food is bland, service is horrendous and the atmosphere is unwelcome. Take my word for it and do NOT go. Save your time.
