This little place is located in Hialeah by warehouses, you can walk to fish marked pick your fish and have it cooked and served. I thought it was a different experience, the only thing is the service... Seems like they are all in a bad mood or having a bad day not very hospitable, but the food is tasty, I pick and had my fresh yellow tail fried.

2 in for dinner on a Thursday at 4 PM. Picked from the fresh fish display to be cooked and served at our table. Grouper fillet .56lb @19.99/lb to be blackened $11.19 Grouper fillet .55lb @19.99/lb to be blackened $10.99 All tables are on a covered patio outside with ceiling fans running fast and a roaring noise coming from somewhere that made it very noisy and windy. Went to our table and gave our side orders to the server. Red beans and white rice with a salad each. Side prices not on the printed menu. Our meals were very good. Server brought our check. A real shocker. Red Beans $3.99ea Rice $3.99ea Small salad $3.99ea Way over priced for what we got. Electronic Fee #003 $1.61 (whatever that is) 15% tip $7.16 Tax 1.68 Total $56.57 Food was good. Service was OK. The side prices soured our experience.

I had the opportunity to come to the restaurant. I had fried snapper and plantains which were great. It appears to be family owned; not sure; but they acted like family. Very clean, hosts were pleasant and the price was good. About $15 for the fish with 2 sides and the snapper was a great size enough for 2 people for the fish. I would recommend going here.

The freshest fish!!!! The best food. Great price. Overall it is just the best!!!! Anytime my family is near Miami, we go out of our way to make a stop. The greatest freshest food in Miami!!!

We were in the area on business and luckily one of us knew of this gem. It can easily be confused with a warehouse as it is in one. A few picnic tables in the middle of an industrial warehouse district. Great food - incredibly fresh and at a good price. The # of blue color locals here emphasized that this is a hidden gem.

The food was good but one of the entrees we ordered was fish fingers at 11.99 (2 of them) the waitres came and ask what fish would we like without telling us there was a significant change of price "5 dollars over what was listed in the menu each" so from 11.99 went to 16.99 each way over what was listed in the menu. So if you go to this place dont be afraid to ask when you order!

It was quick, they give you a lot of food for your money. I love eating in the back where it's like eating outside, they keep the area very clean.

This is an informal place, small and hidden, but the food is awesome!!! I ordered the Jumbo Shripms with white rice, brown beans and tostones(smached plantains) and everything was just incredible delicious.Yo can go for lunch only because it closes at 5;00pm, but you will enjoy it for sure.

This little gem of a restaurant isn't located in an upscale mall or even in an area noted for great dining. It's located in a warehouse district on NW 54th street, and once you find it, you'll be certain to remember the way back. You walk in and get to choose your meal from the wide variety of fresh fish in the display case. You pick it; they cook it to order. We chose to have two silky snapper cut into strips so we could all eat fish fingers and fries. Absolutely delicious, with light batter and gorgeous white flesh. How can you go wrong? Good prices and friendly wait staff... our go-to spot for fresh fish. But let's keep the secret between us?

A little noisy and very informal, but the food is excellent and fresh. You can choose your fish at the market and they cook it for you. The price is really affordable and the service is fast and friendly.

My husband and I have been coming to this Barceló complex for years We love it here! . We stayed at the newly renovated Beach while some friends stayed at the Caribe. This year we saw how it has benefited from its remodeling with some new suites with semi private pools right off your room & Jacuzzis. The place looked GREAT! The pools were amazing and the beach is as gorgeous as ever. We have always enjoyed the quality and variety of the food. Now with some renovated & new restaurants it's even better. The new Mexican restaurant was beautiful, as was the Italian and the Japanese . This year we ate at the Tokyo, where the food and "show" made for a pretty great time. We were taken care of by Abdy and as always ... great service. My Review is really to highlight the wonderful people they have working there. They really make your star truly special. Everyone goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. From the guys tending the landscape who always say Good Morning to the maids. We had some who were exceptional. At the Maya Caribe Buffet Jhobanni Oliveros was INCREDIBLE. Friendly, attentive and anticipated our every need. Hope his supervisors appreciate his hard work...., we asked for him every morning. Manuel Hernandez at that same restaurant was also pretty great. [Don't remember the last time we enjoyed that kind of service in the States] At the pool, the guys at the bar were fast and friendly, one young lady who served drinks at the pool, Ana Gonzalez, always stopped by to see how our day was going, if we needed anything..... IT WAS HEAVEN!!! We also enjoyed the Spa [you have to check it out!!!} a relaxing couples massage by Socorro "Coco" & Carolina ... they have incredible hands. We enjoyed all the new "showers & pool treatments" We will be back as we have for the last 6 or 7 years. If you are planning to come to Riviera Maya... consider the Barceló, you won't regret it..

Visited here on advise from a co-worker. "I had asked for a good seafood near home" I found it. Service was great! the ladies are so friendly, great giving advise . Prices are very reasonable. If you go and don't see any parking in the front go around plenty of parking in the back and if its a cool day (not that we get many of those) seat outside plenty of space on back patio. Imported beer cheap and they have it by the buckets as well.

Informal atmosphere and extremey fresh food. Graet for lunch and early dinner. Generous servings and daily specials. Highly recommend it.

the food here is amazing and fresh off the boats. The fish market is a little rough around the edges, and the outside eating area can get warm in the summer months, BUT THE FOOD IS OFF THE CHAIN!!!

Love their fresh food and good service. Everything I have tried I love. Like going there on Saturdays!

It's true that English is not the 1st language spoken by 99% of the staff, but this is Miami so ....???? The food is always fabulous here the prices are great and the servers are friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem.

The place is quite simple and small. It haves outside and inside seating. The food was fast but it is expected as we ordered the house special por Friday and Saturday which is called sopon marinero. What a delightful soup of sea food. The service was good but could be better

It's not fancy & it's located in an undustrial-looking part of town, but this family-run place is a hidden gem. We walked through the small market & indoor seating area, and sat out on the back patio -- which was full of locals. Everything tasted fresh & delicious, but I thought the grilled shrimp & fish soup were particularly outstanding. Most items on the menu are available either grilled or fried. At $4.49, the lunch special (small soup & "tail-on" minuta sandwich) is a steal.

I don't live in the area, but in I'm hungry for Seafood its always worth the drive. Fast services and lots of options!

I have been coming to this restaurant for years. On this visit, I had a shrimp special (6 breaded 🍤 shrimp with vegetables). plantains were $2.50 extra. A mahi maji platter, a tea and 2 sunkists. Total bill was a whopping $33.00 for 2. They brought out my shrimp and they were OVERcooked (burned). I complained and they brought UNDERcooked. I decided NOT to eat them. A waste!!! AND TO BOOT, The COOK had an attitude!!!!Yes... if you want to eat cheap and food the way they want to serve it to you. Yes go ahead and head out to HEADS OR TAILS. INSTEAD, head to COD SEAFOOD which is down the road!!!! PARKING is horrendous by the way!!!!

Been here a dozen times. Love the sandwiches and lobster croquettas. Everyone I know thats been here think s its awesome. Its not a fancy place, but the food is great and the price is right!

On a tip by the locals, we visited this seafood joint, in Miami. The restaurant seats amid an industrial park and is frequently visited by local workers and executives. We arrived at lunchtime, on a week day (could not be any more real). The fact this joint is constantly busy, speak tons of their commitment to deliver excellent, top-rated meals, at affordable prices. Based on that commitment, we decided to 'put it to the test'. Upon arrival we confirmed the place was indeed packed. No worries, though. Tables turn over quite fast, as employees (blue and white collar) need to come back to their jobs within an hour. That maintains a sense of urgency (among waiters and cooks), which allowed us to be seated within minutes after arrival. Once seated, expect to be immediately served a quite simple menu, where fried is the norm (do not be afraid. Its fish!!). Of course you can have it steamed too. Due to the high, daily customer rotation, fish and seafood are always super-fresh. Portions are also generous, and the menu has (over the years) comprised strictly to what you want (no unnecessary fancy menu items here). We had fried grouper (to share). Crispy, crusty outside; moist, tender inside. Perfectly seasoned. It was more than enough for 2 people. Soup of the Day (clam chowder) was also irrationally good. Prices are quite comprehensive, considering most seafood places in the area charge as much as twice for the same experience. The joint stood by its reputation, as a "gem". Feel free (and confident) to visit them anytime. Keep in mind the restaurant has 2 eating areas: the back ("al fresco"); and the front (dinner style). Mi pick is: the back. The place is also a seafood market, where you can buy raw fish to take home. In all, this is an experience by itself, and a blanket recommendation for "gem" seekers. Thank the locals (not me) for this tip.

What a delightful, and quaint restaurant, hidden amongst a lot of warehouses. At first glance you'll see it as simply a fish market, and indeed they are. However, you go through the back door and suddenly you are transferred into paradise. There is an outdoor, full mended resteraunt with a Cuban/Carribean Flavor.... And the prices are so low you'll walk away feeling like you owe them much more. Highly Recommend.

The place is really near an industrial work area, and it's for the cheap eats and the fast plate with gross amounts of rice and a little on the fatty/greasy side.

This restaurant is nothing to look at, but everything on the menu is fresh and delicious, and prices are quite reasonable. Our go-to place in North Miami for fresh seafood.

The best real down to earth customer service you will get in Miami. No tourists, just locals enjoying seafood the way we do it at home. This is the real thing. Tita and all the staff make sure you get a real Miami experience. Live music on weekends before 5pm. Get there before dusk. The area is safe despite the look. Our Latín thing 🍾🎼👣🌴

Wedged in a run down commercial / industrial park... Very unassuming, casual, and outdoors. Food is good... Great for a quick lunch with co-workers.

I visited my daughter in Miami and we went to this restaurant. It has a nice cozy ambience, great food and pleasant staff. We had fish with plantains and salad and of course some beer and the food was delicious, hot and quickly delivered. Another added plus is that the meal was cheap. We paid like $8.99 for hefty servings on our plates and the beer was nice and cold

No Where else you can can a snapper fish butterfly sandwich for this low price of $2.49. Friendly staff and great service. We come here every week.

This is a place to come and have a mega relaxed meal... This is in the heart of a warehouse, working neighborhood place where the place is ultra rustic.... ZERO fancy, so please the stars are not for the “bring your girlfriend and impress” restaurant. This place is to come have a good quick lunch near the Miami airport. It is mainly a fish shop where you can buy fish and take it home, but at the rear of the store, there are some tables and a bar where you can seat and have the fish you chose made to order for you.... I found this both interesting and good in quality. We had a whole red snapper and a grouper filet which were both fresh and very good! Also had some fried mahi roe that was also quite good.... Service is on the good side and the place is ok clean... All in all, will come back! Enjoy

I have been buying here for years.. Is still good and better than othe places but back 6 years ago the food was even better.. Wish they had the same lunch specials as before so i would go more often. Now there limited to two before it used to be four..

I was pleasantly surprised with the food. It was very good. The place is stuck in some warehouse district with a little seafood markety feel. But the Conch/jumbo shrimp meal was good. The lobster croquettes and conch fritters not so good, way too breaded.

Cool fresh fish market in front. Eatery in back. Out of baked fish so went for kingfish. True grilling would have improved flavor. Large servings. Staff speaks little english. Veggies no seasoning. Shrimp in linguinin nice but pasta overcooked sauce no flavor. Extra charge for sauce and dressing for salads. Salad was nice with cucumbers.

This restaurant is very informalwith a wide variety of seafood and specials every day. Well prepared food with very adequate sides make this winner. Service is good and the price is right. Could be hard to find as the restaurant section is hidden between other businesses. If you want good seafood this is your stop.

Heads or Tails. Seafood Fresh and well prepared they have weekly Specials but here everithing is special!!! & the best part is the Price!!! Open from Monday to Saturday.

If you're looking for fresh seafood and you want to eat well and not spend too much money-- this is the place. If you go on a weekday you will probably sit pretty quickly unless it's lunchtime. Saturday's it's busy all day. Although the location is right on 36 street; if you don't see a parking space as you drive by go around the western corner and head north to park in the back. There is a back entrance where you will see open air plastic chairs and tables. It is not a fancy place but the food is good--do check it out. They have daily specials worth a try and a killer seafood soup done only on Saturdays that will drive any hang over away. If you happen to go when it's packed go inside the place where the fish market is at and tell anyone that works there that you want to place your order, they will take your order and start cooking your meal- by the time your food is freshly done , your table will be ready and you will sit and eat. When you go inside you can see the kitchen and all the food they prepare. The soup maker is an artist making it taste great every time.
Excellent Restaurant , economic prices ... Awesome
