Cozy and homey!

By Kathy K |

We rode in the FiveBoroTour in the rain all day and met fellow bike riders here later for a celebratory meal and drink. (After showers) It was cozy and wonderful and my pulled pork sandwich was yummy!!

Great drinks, great music, great staff

After walking into various "Irish bars" and "taverns" and resigning ourselves to never finding anything that remotely compares to a good pub, we found this place. It doesn't pretend to be either Irish or British. It is very definitely American. And yet it is the closest you'll find to an authentic pub experience in the city. Plenty of beers on offer, and most of them bloody good. Genuinely pleasant barmen instead of the typical American scripted fake interest crap. Top notch establishment!

Vast Selection of Craft Beers

By Tom L |

Hellcat Annie's has a welcoming feel to it. The service behind the bar is always top notch. They know their brews on tap and create a friendly vibe with the customer. I'm guessing they likely have about thirty micro brews on tap. Those who prefer cocktails, wine or moonshine will also be satisfied. The food selection is fairly predictable for a bar but they do have a few interesting options. It is patronized by a good mix of ages. Likely more locals, but tourists do find their way in. When the place is full the decibel level can get quite high. Everyone places their orders at the bar. Sample a couple of their interesting offerings and be well treated by the folks behind the bar. What more can you ask for ?

Fab find

We fell across this after a long day. Hubby was in beer heaven! Lots of great local beers on tap and good service. Would recommend.

Don't go here

By Julia Ismay |

Unless you want to be told how much to tip!! We have gone to this bar every time we've been to New York. The staff have always been brilliant. However our recent visit left a sour taste. The lady bartender took it upon herself to advise us on how much we should tip. She was also very rude to my husband making disparaging remarks about him to other customers. I'm sad to be saying this because we have always loved this bar.

Nice Sunday feed and beers

Sweet little bar away from tourist spots. Simple but good food, excellent craft beers and cool service.

Friendly neighbourhood bar

By KRD13 |

We sat at the bar it what is a relatively small dining/bar area. The bartender was friendly and helpful in making beer recommendations. They will provide you with a sample before choosing your brew. We had burgers and a beer. Food was very tasty and well presented, all reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend if you are in the Hell’s Kitchen area

Excellent drafts

We had drinks here on our recent trip to NYC and would definitely recommend it. Friendly staff, a good range of beers and solid bar food too

Local bar. Great food.

Stumbled across this place on the way down to the piers and fancied a bit of lunch. It reminded me of few nice pubs in England. Had a few screens above the bar showing sports and had a bunch of beers on draught and a few craft cans. Being into craft beer and working in a taproom myself it was a nice surprise to come in this place for a quick bite to eat and find a great beer list. But the food was excellent, I went for the short rib grilled cheese. Really good sized portion of fries and the sandwich was massive. The meat cooked perfectly. Was very surprised at how good this place was. It’s a right little gem of Hell’s Kitchen. Oh and the service was on point. Felt extremely welcome and personably. Next time I’m around will definitely come to check the vibe in the evening if it’s as good as the day.

Excellent Draft Choices

By JayPrimetown |

Very unassuming bar from an aesthetic perspective, but the choices on draft are worth the visit. Beers from Other Half, Interboro, and Singlecut find their way to the menu. Taps are clean, bartenders are friendly. Didn't try the food menu so cannot speak to that.

Pre-dinner drink

By Diane C |

Found this cosy little bar, it was just over the street from the restaurant we had booked for dinner later that evening. Beer and wine were nice and well chilled. We ordered some Mozzarella sticks to nibble on as we were feeling peckish, these were nice and tasty. However, the best thing we found was the Bloody Mary cocktail it was amazing. Great place to go.

Hell's Kitchen local Bar for Beer & Burgers

By RogueTrippers |

Date of Visit: Saturday, Aug 4th, 2018 We visited the Hellcat Annie’s on our way to a broadway show. This place is a local watering hole with a small menu of food items. It is a quaint bar in Hell’s Kitchen, and it holds no airs or pretenses. It serves good beer on draft. There appears to be a regular clientele who frequent the place for beer and to hang out. The food is decent, but not exceptional. They had a couple of burger options and not much more. The quality was good, but portions are average – not too huge or too small. This is a good place for a beer and a burger, but not for a great dinner. I ordered the burger, while others ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were good, cooked to order, and tasty. The service is fine, although you have to order and pay at the bar for everything, and then they deliver it to your table. Prices are adequate for what it is. Not too bad. The beer size seemed a little small for a pint.

Excellent Food for lunch

By RxDive |

Excellent Food for lunch in an upscale local bar/pub. Excellent selection of beers and whiskeys. Food was surprisingly very good. Chicken and avocado sandwich was excellent. Bartender was attentive and conversant. I will fo back when in the area.

Quaint little bar

A small bar with a good choice of beers, not too busy due to the size and delicious angus beef burgers.

Great Bar!

By blanquita79 |

We loved this place!! Great menu and beer selection! The bar tenders were funny and attentive. I was even able to have an impossible burger here, which is so good as a beef alternative!! Try one if you haven’t already!

Great food and beer, excellent service too

Loved this place. Great choice of beer and good food! Thank you to Jess, she gave great service, very friendly and seemed to be always available when a refill was needed. When I next visit New York, I will be back!

Fun and Friendly!

By jojo2223 |

Great place with a great selection of beer and wine. super Friendly staff, my friends and I had Jessica, she so sweet and made sure we were having a fun girls night out. The whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming and I will definitely be back for more beer deals and happy hour!

A gem.. must try!

We came here with 9 other coworkers. Ryan our server was excellent and very attentive. The owner came over and introduced himself. He was very personable and talked to us for a while. The appetizers, beer and moonshine selection are extensive. A must visit if you’re in the area.

Great little bar.

By grubbytech |

Great bar with a very good range of craft beers. One of these beers was an ipa that was 10.1%!! I didn’t have the bar snacks but saw plenty of other people who had them and everyone who had them was very happy with the quality and quantity too. The staff were very friendly and made me feel right at home which for a Brit in NYC was lovely.

Ok

Stopped and sat outside for a drink and a bit to eat. Burgers were pretty good, but the nachos and wings were rubbish. Service good.

Great Beer Selection

Stopped in for a few post dinner drinks and it was a great time. Great beer selection and fun crowd. They also had some tasty late night sliders!

Great, friendly local bar

By Piers Q |

I went here on my last night in New York, I wish I'd been earlier in the week. They have a great selection of craft beers on tap, all well kept, and very tasty. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and I felt like a regular, even though I was a complete stranger. When I left, the barman (didn't get his name) thanked me for coming and shook my hand. I will definitely be back when I'm next in NY.

Proper ‘pub’

By Burdles |

Friendly staff, awesome selection of beers, food was nothing to write home about, but it’s a pub, when all said and done.

Visit is a must

By TeamWard |

Best bar in Hell's Kitchen easily, got taken here by our New Jersey friend, its a bar that means its a bar, no airs no graces, drink and drink, just what us Brits like, they serve pints of stuff you'll like, great helpful staff (ask for a sample before you order), well worth a pint or two.

Would have liked to stay longer

By Colin A |

I selected this place after Googling bars around our hotel in the Hell's Kitchen area. We opted to visit pre-theatre and that didn't leave as much time as I would have liked. Great selection of beers and helpful barman meant I was able to pick a good brew.

Pleasant brew pub in Hell’s Kitchen

By Jeff K |

With a good brew selection of major brand and specialty brews, this vintage look bar in Hell’s Kitchen is worth the stop. Bar grub was reasonable price and enjoyable. Friendly bar staff

Suberp bar with great beers

By TravelBugDW |

Stopped in here a couple of times as we enjoyed our first visit so much. The blonde lady behind the bar was very friendly and helpful with beer choices. The selection of beers was impressive and tasty as was the food we had. Recommended.

Need a Neighborhood Go-To? Found one.

By Victor O |

Whether it's Jess, Justin, Owen or Chris behind the bar, you're definitely in good hands. Craft Beers are crispy and fresh. Food is even better! Happy hour everyday doesn't hurt either. Tried the Mac n Cheese Croquettes...A. Buffalo chicken spring rolls...A+ You can't really go wrong. Also, Crush The Craft Fridays are the best. $5 craft beers every Friday? Sign me up. This used to be Pony Bar, which was great, but they didn't skip a beat. Come by and you won't be disappointed!

Great beer selection!!!

Had a great time meeting local friends for drinks on our visit to NYC! Thanks for a great beer selection and yummy wings!!! Y'all rock!

What a find this was.

By Darren Thomson |

Deep in Hell’s Kitchen New York, the bar and restaurant was a great find. Great looking place, wonderful selection of beers and spirits. The food was great too. Loved there burgers and the cheese and bacon fries were great too.

Really nice, clean, friendly and affordable

By samdixey2001 |

Popped in, while looking for a happy hour. Great mix of people and great bar staff. Enjoyed some sliders and a few happy hour drinks would recommend.

worth going off the beaten path

By AndreyBelieve |

This bar is off the beaten path but we love it. It's a craft beer bar with some great selections. The staff is fantastic (shoutout to justin and jessica!) The bouncer is the nicest man you'll ever meet! I think the food is a little to spicy for the most part, but it's good.

Good Beer Variety and Friendly Service

By Mark L |

A group of friends and I stopped at Hellcat Annie's Taproom. It had a number of great beers on tap and had very friendly bartenders that were helpful and attentive. The food looked great, but due to time constraints we didn't have time to eat there.

Intimate, relaxed friendly bar with good food

We found this bar on a recent visit. The bar staff were very welcoming and attentive and the food was very good.
