We were under the impression there was a restaurant in the hotel (per their website) and there wasn't, just the snack bar. The hamburgers, etc. we ordered were cold and obviously cooked long in advance.

For all that is spartan on the ground floor lobby of Hilton - this place fills the bill. The food is healthy and delicious grab and go fare.

Ate at the cafe which stayed open until midnight. Restaurant was closed when we got there. We did like the cafe food, hot pizza, pre-packaged sandwiches, juices, fruit and baked goods i.e. cookies, etc.

It's convenient for breakfast and grab&go if you stay at the hotel. Service is fine and the buffet is your average Hilton fare. There really are a lot of really good restaurants that are within mins. walking distance from the hotel.....

We stayed at The Hilton and so this was a very easy visit for a snack or water for our room. Try the cheesecakes they were tasty.

Convenient, yes. Expensive, yes. Good coffee, no. It was average at best. Go to the local Starbucks instead for coffee & a quick bite.

Although too pricey, it is convenient to have a 24 hour restaurant where there is everything from bakery, beverages, breakfast sandwiches, salads, snacks & daily specials. Our shared panini was a tasty genoa salami + sparkling water ($15) which we enjoyed @ tables onsite.

Such an enormous selection of delicious food on Thanksgiving Day made the experience extra special. The meats were cooked perfectly and the selection of cheeses, salads and breads were quite impressive. Oh and did I mention the dessert table? It was absolutely full of great and tasty treats. We left quite satisfied. The service though was a bit on the slow side and needs improvement.

Food is good here but the majority of it is over priced, even for New York IMO. The staff was really nice and helpful and the place was always clean. The Greek salad is REALLY good!

So this is the main place in the lobby of the hotel to get coffee, pastry, sandwiches, water, and other fast food items. It is too small to handle the crowds -- hotel guests plus convention and day visitors. Many go across the street to Starbucks. We even saw people ordering in Pizza. So go early in the morning for best service. The counter staff are very good but they put up with a lot of frustrated people. Thought bakery goods and quality of lunch items very good. Very limited seating.

After walking the streets of NY for miles, my friend and I had built up a voracious appetite. We stumbled upon this restaurant within the hotel where we were staying. Guy, the chef and his staff were very fun and accommodating. The GC sandwich was perfectly done and delicious. Perfect fix for two hungry midwesterners. If you’re looking for a great experience and delicious quick meal, this is the place to stop.

This in house Hilton Midtown convenience mart/grab and go is grossly over priced and the hotel charges you $25 per day amenity feel that can be used here and in the hotel bars. It is more or less a way to make you use their in house restaurants and bar. They are grossly over priced for the quality and choices.

Good variety and the chef caters for vegetarian guests. Also ensures that culturally sensitive guests are well catered for

Located on the lobby level of the New York Hilton Midtown hotel, this is the only alternative to the main restaurant of the hotel. It is a rather large store, with four cash registers. It always has fresh coffee and is equipped for espresso and espresso-based drinks. It also carries fresh bakery goods, pastries, sandwiches, salads, soups, pizzas and a selection of chips, pretzels, etc. Prices are high: they know they have a captive audience.

We stayed at the Hilton and went down for the hotel buffet breakfast. While the service was decent and the buffet did include made to order eggs, total bill exceeded $110.00...ouch!

This self-serve deli is over-priced. The $12 tuna salad sandwich I bought was terrible - the bread was hard - had to throw half of it away.

We recently stayed at Hilton Midtown Thanksgiving week. Our entire family of 17 was in town to watch my daughter march in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. We have a rule that when we travel, we all come together for dinner to break bread and talk about our day and just connect as a family. Herb N' Kitchen was not open for dinner (maybe due to Holiday hours) but the manager allowed us to use a large table in the restaurant every night and order in takeout from area restaurants. Their staff was so nice and accommodating. The restaurant is very cozy and has a lovely family kitchen table ambiance. Every morning there was a fabulous continental and hot breakfast. If you stay in the hotel you got breakfast vouchers. The continental breakfast was free and had wonderful staples like fresh pastries, fruit, oatmeal, miso soup, cereals, assorted cold cuts and cheeses, and to my surprise a wonderful assortment of fresh bagels with various flavored cream cheeses and smoked salmon, capers and onions! I had the salmon and caper bagels every morning - they were just amazing! Chef Guy and his staff do a great job with the food and a great job handling the crowds. This is an extremely large hotel. If you wait to eat breakfast after 8 am you will be standing in line waiting for a table. I was in the restaurant having breakfast every morning before 7:30 and there was never a long line. I see reviews of food not being fresh or being mediocre. Here's my take on that. If you are not willing to wait for a table to eat a freshly prepared meal - what do you expect? They do prepare a large assortment of hot food options, sandwiches, specialty salads, etc that are available for take-and-go options for the masses that are too busy to stop and enjoy a meal. People these are for your convenience. If what you desire is quality, then don't eat something that's been under a lamp for an hour or so or in the refrigerated section of the Herb N' Kitchen store for 3 hours. You're paying for convenience. You're getting convenience. On the flip side, I did purchase an amazing chocolate mousse cake and salad from the prepared food section of the store and both were just lovely...and fresh. The house-made macaroons are very delightful also and only $7 for 4, whereas I paid $40 for 10 at the Plaza hotel. Equally as good. I do recommend purchasing beverages from Walgreens or another neighborhood grocery as the drinks in the Herb N Kitchen store are $3-$4 per 20 oz bottle which is more than I wanted to spend to fill my mini fridge. I'm giving 4 stars only because I feel the store's convenience pricing is a little inflated and I would like a full-service restaurant option in the hotel for evening dining. But 5 stars to their incredible staff.

I was at a convention and ordered a bagel w cream cheese and coffee. Clerk shoved a very stale bagel into a bag, gave me two pre packaged cream cheese containers and pointed across the hall and said " the toaster is over there". When he gave me my coffee he twisted the top on with his hands , thus getting whatever money germs or other contaminants directly on the drinking spout. Clerk should not be handling food and money at the same time. Area where the toaster was had so much trash and spilled coffee etc that everyone was muttering how dirty it was. There wasn't one clean spot to even put the bagel down to prepare . My advice? Just do not go there!!! The bagel was 4.50!!!!! Just keep walking!

Limited choices food and snack-but good if your hungry and ready to go if no time! $$$$ location and limited time is the only way you should eat here. Beside a coffee and if it's really cold outside just to warm up indoors.

The Midtown Hilton offers really no dining choices except bar food and this (unless you belong to their "club"). It's an okay place. The food isn't very good--it's ordinary and like bad take-out, it's expensive and the dining area is pretty dirty (trash not emptied and tables unclean). Overall, I guess it's better than nothing if you're hungry, but this is really not very good food and a not very good hotel. The front desk staff has a lot of attitude. The service overall is not friendly. In my opinion, if possible go outside the hotel to eat.

They should have something you are looking for, even fresh pastry. Good selection of drinks in their cooler and many other items.

I was not planning to eat here, but it was raining and I didn’t want to leave the hotel for lunch. I waited a long time to order, and an equally long time to pick up my food. After all of that, there were no open tables so I hunkered down on a lobby bench. I ordered a bacon grilled cheese and grabbed a bottled soda and a bag of chips. It was kind of pricy for lunch but pretty average for hotel food prices. The sandwich was good, but nothing remarkable. Lots of better places to eat in the city, but if you’re stuck in the hotel, this is fine.

Excellent service! I enjoyed breakfast here every day for a week. All the staff were courteous, attentive and helpful. I was made to feel comfortable dining alone. My coffee cup was never less than half full, but the waiters didn't hover. They were more than happy to send me off to my conference after breakfast with a hot coffee to go. Mahbub was especially helpful and patient when I forgot my meal voucher and then couldn't remember my room number. Breakfast is a buffet with a chef making omelets, eggs and waffles to order. Buffet included scrambled eggs (that weren't dry or rubbery!), pancakes, potatoes, bacon, chicken sausage, fresh fruit, lox, a variety of cold cuts and cheeses, cereals, breads and pastries along with potstickers, a springroll like item, congee, bread pudding and juices. I'm sure I forgot some things. Plenty of variety to keep me happy all week long. Restaurant was bright and clean. Tables were set quickly so I never sat next to a table with someone else's dirty dishes.

Ridiculously overpriced, but there are few options at this hotel so hold a monopolistic advantage. There really is no restaurant to speak of at this hotel..the lobby bar clearly shares the Herb N Kitchen kitchen. Basic selection of convenience food, prepared salads and sandwiches. Limited menu overall, but was happy that a few Gluten Free options were available. Mind you, one of the packaged pastries I purchased (Whipped Bakery Gluten Free Ginger Scone) was expired, had to be returned...and I encountered some protest before announcing that I would be grabbing a replacement and leaving the stale pasty with them. The Christina Aguilera lookalike (brunet) CSR was beyond sour, and seemed troubled and bothered to be at work..three nights in a row. Be prepared to pay $15.00 for a greek salad.

The breakfast sandwiches are very good and convenient if you don't care for a sit-down meal. Cereals, fresh fruits, coffee, juices, Open early and late.

A nice little coffee house with plenty of food & drink on offer. It’s in the busy Hilton Midtown hotel so has a lot of conference people in and out so it’s not a cosy place but very functional

I used this restaurant twice for take away food. Once for a Panini Caprese and Rosemary Fries, which were both absolutely delicious. The portion was double what I needed though. Service was good. Came again the next day and had a "Cheese Lasagna". Since I am vegetarian and there was no list of ingredients I asked if it contained meat in addition to cheese and pasta. Here we had a breakdown in communication and all I was told was that it contained "cheese". I could not be sure that the server actually checked with the chef but he did disappear for a minute so I assume so. I ate this cautiously in the Executive Lounge with a $5 beer which I poured myself (Summer Ale, delicious). There were no cutlery items so thankfully I was pre-advised to take these from Herb N' Kitchen. After this I felt no desire or need to return to Herb n' Kitchen but it is certainly a useful backup to have in the hotel.

Visited couple of times found food to be ok..coffee average but prices heavy for the quality of product you receive.. Even when my wife ibs kicked in and needed just some boiling water that came at a charge..pretty poor for a multi billion dollar company!!

This is the chain that's in Hiltons...why, you ask can't there just be a good coffee shop or a good fast casual restaurant...this is OK but it's so not good...coffee fine, croissant fine, some nice choices, but just oh so mediocre. Why?

In the Hilton Midtown during a most recent snow blizzard we were a captive audience at the Herb N' Kitchen breakfast buffet...a choice of Continental ( cold/pastries/ fruits/yogurt) or American (various omelet or Asian choices at a much higher price). We tried both since we were there for three mornings and found the service excellent and the choices fresh and plentiful. The prices, because you are in midtown, are high: approximately $27 for the Continental and about $45 for the American. Also, know the tip is automatically included! THE only complaint we had was this waiter-served restaurant is only open for breakfast...until 11AM. After that time, it becomes a 'grab and go' although you still have access to available tables. During any normal weather day this would not be an issue because you are in midtown and have so many other available restaurants. But there was a blizzard and one member of our group was in a wheelchair so this limited food area within the Hilton Midtown was NOT ideal. Compliments do go to those working In the Hilton Midtown who gave every effort to make our stay comfortable!

Me and my friends went to Herb N’ Kitchen for an evening snack. I didn’t know what to get to eat because there were so many choices. The head Chef Mr Guy Montgomery came over to me and asked if he could help me. I told him I didn’t know what I wanted. He asked if I would like to try his delicious chili, and I said yes. It was so good, I order a bowl and a flat bread pizza which was also delicious. While I was eating at the table the manager Mr Wayne came over and asked how I was doing, and how was my dinner. I told him it was great! Once the Head Chef Guy found out it was my friend’s birthday, he returned to our table with a birthday surprise chocolate cake with fresh strawberries. How sweet of theses two professional men being so kind and thoughtful. It is not often when your traveling that you get outstanding service like this. We love New York City, and we will be coming back to this restaurant at the Hilton Midtown. Give these two Super Stars a big raise! 😘

Instead of having a restaurant, the Hilton midtown has this take away place. The workers were doing a good job, but the lines all day were unbelievable, especially as meal time or snack time approached. The food was OK, and the sandwiches fresh. Much of the process is self-serve. Considering that, everything was expensive.

Located in the lobby of New York Hilton Midtown Hotel. Delicious machiatto and brownie (with walnuts) and friendly, excellent service from John Lio!!!

Just wanted to compliment the staff at Herb & Kitchen, in particular Jose Flores for outstanding service! As a southerner, I like good service and the Jose did just that! Also, the food was fantastic...well done!

Long lines to get coffee in the morning and overpriced. Not a large selection of items. Staff not very friendly. If it wasn’t raining I would have gone to Starbucks close by.

I spent nearly a week doing biz at the midtown Hilton for a conference. The Herb N Kitchen is inside the Hilton and likely makes a fortune selling expensive and mostly prepackaged food to people like me, essentially pressed for time. Note the breakfast buffet cost me $36.00. Gratuity of 15% is added to your bill automatically, though aside from someone bringing you coffee and your bill there is no table service. Do yourself a favor and walk a block over to the Astro diner. The food is no better or worse but you won't get robbed

Nothing special here. Food is not great and the service is awful. The people working there are rude and unfriendly.

Not great and very expensive for what you receive. There is really no seating so you have to explore. The old restaurant is only open for an over priced breakfast buffet

Very expensive and not very good....mostly offered premade sandwiches and pizza that wasn't worth the $20!

Their food is not bad, they are very slow. The flatbread pizzas are very good. It's expensive but it's satisfying.

Grab and go here OK, but nothing exceptional, just functional. Coffee just OK and croissant a bit dry and not particularly flaky, but it works as in convenient if you are staying at the Hilton; it's pretty busy given all the hubbub at the hotel, so need to go early if you want to avoid big lines.

We only had one meal here during our stay, but it was lovely - the only thing which spoiled it a bit was the plastic cutlery.

I returned from the Woodbury Outlets upstate New York to my hotel at the New York Hilton Midtown and scurried back downstairs with my friends to get a bite to eat! We were jovial and on a mission! We were met by nice attendants that were very patient as we asked a myriad of questions about the food! However, the chef, Guy Montgomery came out to greet us and let us taste the chili and it was fantastic! He asked where we were from and why we were here. We told him we were from California and we were here because of my birthday! He said well, after you finish ordering I need to talk to you! He blessed us with a completary mini cake on a plate with Happy Birthday written in chocolate!!!! I felt soooo special!! Wayne the manager came over too and gave Birthday well wishes. The food was great and so was the service! I highly recommend this restaurant! I had the pepperoni pizza!!!!

Lots of options including gluten free. Staff allowed privacy and did not rush us through our meal. Very clean and well appointed.

They deliver room service to the Hilton. Don't bother with the Mac & Cheese. They serve Illy coffee, but they burnt the milk in the latte, it was way too hot, obviously they are not baristas. The hot dog isn't too bad, just like you'd find from a street cart. Prices are reasonable for New York.

Tufayel is a very nice and genuine man. He served me nice coffee and helped me a lot. He was very resourceful and got my order quickly

$18 for a pre-made, reheated double cheeseburger (comparable in size to a McDonald's Double cheeseburger) or a Rubberized Chicken Sandwich. No fries, chips, or sides of any kind. Want the continental breakfast? $29 or add the omelet station and Belgian waffles for another $20 (yes, $49).. My cheeseburger on one evening had been sitting around so long under the heat lamp so long that the bun was soaking wet. When I mentioned it to the counter help, No apologies or offer to make it right but instead was told that's the way it comes. The Lettuce and tomatoes comes in a separate container with onion. Nothing fresh about it.. The Lounge is also run by the folks at Herb and Kitchen and they charge you an extra $5 (Double cheeseburger and chicken sandwich are $23) and it is the same exact pre-made food they offer for take out. So not only do I pay more at the lounge but you are expected to leave a tip as well. There are plenty of nice places to eat within a short walk that are much better and far less expensive. If you have a hotel food credit to use - use it on the chocolate cake or cheese cake - Herb and Kitchen does NOT make these in house. Given they are slightly more expensive than you can find in some of the nearby bakeries but if you need to use up a food credit, you will be much happier then you had you used it for anythign Herb and Kitchen actually makes..

This is the only restaurant in the hotel. They have a grab and go area thru the day which I have used many times during my stays but this is the first time I did the breakfast buffet. It was a very good buffet with an omelette chief but it would not have been worth the $50 per person price (I had a free buffet coupon).

Enjoyed my meal served in room very much. Cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and order was perfect in every way.

Over priced and very underwhelming. The pre made salads were lovely, the pizzas and g free slices very average. I found 3 items of gluten free produce out of date which I gave the staff. Quite a good selection but way over priced.

This cafe was inside the Hilton Hotel in midtown Manhattan. The sandwiches and coffee, etc. were a lot cheaper than in the airport and other cafes in the neighborhood. With a Hilton Club discount card, you can save even better.

I do not typically go into any market/restaurant affiliated with a hotel as they are always overpriced; however, guests of the HIlton Midtown are forced to go here due to a part of a daily charge ($25) the hotel charges you. Part of that charge ($10) has to be spent in Herb N' Kitchen, so you are charge whether you use it or not. Every evening before adjourning to my room, I had to stop by Herb N' Kitchen and find something less than $10 as I was not going to give them the benefit of getting more money from me. What I opted for was 3 bags of chips totalling $8 and change so still shy of $10 that they were charging me for. The 2nd night I were there, the line was so long at the register that it wrapped around the store. I almost decided not to stand in the line; however, again, I was not going to give Hilton $10 of my money without getting something out of it, and dang it, I loved those chips as a late night snack. On a positive note: the store is laid out nicely and is clean.

With the breakfast place charging astronomical prices for mediocre to poor food, Herb & Kitchen is your only other option at the NY Hilton Midtown, unless you want to go out of the hotel. Herb & Kitchen occupies a considerable amount of space on the lobby level. Coffee is usually fresh (at least around breakfast and lunch), and the place offers basic bakery goods, fresh fruit, yogurt and snacks. It also offers prepacked sandwiches, salads, a couple of warm soups and small pizzas (mediocre, at best!). Half of the area is covered with junk offers: chips, chocolates, candies, and other sweets. Prices are high, especially considering what you are getting. Service is efficient and perfunctory, as in the rest of the hotel.

We wanted a quick meal so as we were staying at the Hilton midtown decided to eat in herb n kitchen in the Hilton. The food was exceptionally tasty. Although the wine was rather xpennsive.

My husband and I had an amazing experience. Mark, the cashier was very friendly and helpful. Chef Guy was a super nice too. He came from around the counter to talk to my husband about the food the he made. The Mac & Cheese was really good! If you ever find yourself here make sure you stop by to see Mark & Guy!

fairly expensive breakfast buffet of ok quality. even for individuals, tip gets automatically added to bill. the food choices at the to-go counter are very good. restaurant staff seemed somewhat "less interested".

I expected to see a restaurant you can order food from; an array of options on the.menu list or hoped for a buffet. However, I was disappointed as I did not see either. They had mostly pastries and vegetables/ fruits. I eventually bought fruit packed and salad as well as some nuts. Need to have a more customer_oriented focus to provide options for guests.

Because there is no other food option at the NY Hilton, I was twice forced to purchase their poor excuse of a meal while at a 4 day conference at the Hilton, which itself exemplifies all that is bad about a big convention hotel. But with only a half hour between meetings I didn’t have options for lunch. But back to the food, You can purchase a truly disgusting pre made sandwich or salad, small and outrageously expensive, made on stale textured bread and gloppy toppings. There are some “hot items” which are luke warm and sitting under warming lights. One can get better food from a cold case at an airport. A better choice is the Starbucks across the street. And much cheaper.

Very limited menu there fore the 3 stars. For a hotel like this it is a surprise of the limited food choices. Along with two bar menus in the evening nothing more. However having said that, it is really high quality. My favorite is the titled morning egg sandwich. If you need a yummy in the evening, I recommend the flatbread pizza. Around 20 dollars and if you need or want to eat in. A good choice.

Lots of selections. Hot and cold sandwiches, snacks, wine, soda, coffee. I'm glad there is a nice table to sit and eat your purchases that is out of the walking traffic.

This cafe in the lobby of the Hilton Midtown has a good variety of snacks and meals if you are in a rush or just need something quick. Breakfast was easy and reasonably priced.

Always long queues to get a coffee, I was in dire need and waiting 20 minutes one day - it would have been quicker to go outside of the hotel (Hilton) where this is based.

This is a fast food place where you can get fresh coffee and bakery goods as well as juices and other snacks for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, sandwiches, soups, and flatbreads are available. Service is efficient and impersonal. Prices are as you would expect at a Hilton. This place focuses on high volume, average quality.

Almost $4 for a butter croissant! Same for a small cappuccino!! Way too expensive. Go to Starbucks across the street instead (there are 2 of them at each corner).

I was in NYC for a Writers Digest conference. We were staying at the Hilton and I needed a place to get quick food between conference seminars. The Herb N' Kitchen is great! The selection of items is outstanding (something for everyone's taste.) The staff are friendly and move fast. There is also a restaurant section (which I unfortunately didn't get the chance to use) as well as several areas to sit down and eat quickly. The coffee is perfect and the selection of sandwiches, yogurts, snacks, fresh fruit, goodies is excellent.

Guy Montgomery was extremely helpful with providing my family and I with great late night food options!

Convenient and high quality. The Herb N'Kitchen is great for a grab and go breakfast or snack and wonderful for a take to your room coffee.

Guy Montgomery makes a great cannolii! Guy was very personable and friendly. Perfect late night treat.

The selection is much better than many hotels, they have gluten-free, vegan, and other health conscious options, as well as regular food. It is convenient if you do not want to go out of the hotel or get a quick breakfast, but there are much better dining options in the surrounding blocks

Simple menu, ok food and sub par service the only reason to go is if you are staying on site and need a quick bite. They also handle the room service for the hotel. Basic flatbreads, salads & sandwiches. Also a selection of breakfast items. They have a gluten free slice of pizza that was very dense and served room temp. Meh.... Morning coffee was good, not worth much more.

We had a wonderful stay in the hotel. This was expensive, even by NY standards and just plain awful. Two hamburgers, one order of fries and two small drinks was more than $50. Most of the lunch items are pre-made and sitting under a warmer, drying out. We did order french fries which took almost 15 minutes and there was nobody else waiting. The cashier was brusque to the point of being rude. The actual procedure is a bit confusing because there is at attached coffee bar and seems to share some food and beverage items. One afternoon it started to snow and we wanted a snack before going out to our tour, so I went down to get a pizza. It is actually a flatbread that was not worth the $20. I loved the Hilton Midtown, would stay there again and again. However, I would not go back to the restaurant.

I had the luxury of eating here twice and it was amazing. The first night I had the baked ziti, the sauce was great, tasted authentic. The next day I got the pizza which was even better. Thanks Guy

Herb N' Kitchen had just what I need for breakfast and snacks. They offer a full array of scones, danish and donuts.

Just wanted a snack. Everything is 2-4 times the expense of regular retail- like the prices in a minibar. Cost is not met by quality.

Very nice breakfast buffet. My wife enjoyed the oatmeal while I found the eggs and potatoes to be a great get up and go for the day.

This bistro is in the Hilton Midtown and is ridiculously expensive and are no other options in the hotel. A better choice would be to walk down the street to a deli or small grocery to pick up food items if needed.

Visited this place while my kids were attending a dance competition in the Hilton. Just to get a cup of coffee you can stand in line for 30 minutes and all the food is pre made so why there is such a long wait is ridiculous. Better to go to one of the food trucks and get a cup of coffee and scrambled eggs on a bagel. The food on the food truck is fresher, more reasonably priced and no long wait.

Great food and service. Tufayel was very nice and helpful. Will be back. Great selection of beverages. The fries were great.

This is a combination of a pre packaged food source and a coffe bar It is useful as a quick breakfast stop if you don’t require much.

eclectic and perfect on the go, there's a good selection of food and great to pick up and run if you are making it for another meeting

Staff were so friendly & attentive. Buffet style breakfast had very generous options including a lot of very fresh fruit. Highly recommended as a great way to start and NYC day.

Hotel prices, average food, nice packaged selection. Not a great place for dining but not bad for take out.

This restaurant is located in the lobby of the New York Hilton Midtown. If breakfast is not included with your room price, do not go here — it is overpriced at $96.01 for the American breakfast buffet for two. We had to queue to get in, then we were bused in like cattle and made to sit on the corner of a table of another family — it was not even a proper table; it was an island in the middle of the restaurant and had a leg in my way, so I was unable to even sit properly — it was not a nice dining experience at all! The breakfast buffet lacks choice; the sausages are chicken (no beef or pork); the chef was absent for long periods, so I ended up having scrambled egg, instead of the fried eggs I actually wanted. The maple syrup had run out. After this mediocre food at a high price, we went to a different restaurant everyday in 6th Avenue and even the best most classy restaurant came to less than this place; often we ate fantastic breakfasts for under $50 for the two of us. This place is completely overpriced and unnecessary, as there are ample options just down the street. There are also two Starbucks just outside the Hilton, with better coffee and lower prices.

We enjoyed the sandwiches and coffee at this establishment. It is located near the elevators and offers quick snacks for those on the go.

Conveniently located, friendly staff. Prices are higher than the grocery store nearby, but they had delicious options for hot and cold meals and the best Oreo cheesecake I’ve ever had.

Fast service, and a good choice of items, all reasonable priced for a quick breakfast, which you need at a hotel as busy as this one.

This is an average Hilton hotel restaurant/ store where you can pick up snacks, candy, wine, coffee, tea, meals, etc, The prices are reflected in the area you are staying and shopping!

There are better cheaper places to go. However, it is good coffee and it's convenient. It's just expensive.

Herb N' Kitchen in located in New York Midtown Hilton. They have a wide variety of grab and go food items. Everything we purchased was fresh and delicious -- although as expected pricey. We had the following items -- bagel with lox and cream cheese, croissant, roast beef sandwich, veggie platter -- the fruit platter looked watery and the fruit was anemic looking. Also the staff is courteous and friendly.

Herb N Kitchen is an overpriced snack food joint. Serving hot dogs, pizza, a variety of overpriced snacks, and soft drinks, this is a place not to go to in the restaurant rich city.

Alex at the herb and kitchen was very rude and continued to be even with my very easy coffee order. So much better options with great service right outside the hotel.

As the title says, it's good food, but far overpriced compared to options on the same block. I presume only hotel guests that really, really need the convenience are their main customers.

We were staying at this hotel and this cafe really was convenient. And everything we had here was very good. The flatbreads were excellent, especially the one with the figs and the one with olives. Another really good choice was the chili. Also the breakfast sandwich, scrambled eggs with cheese on a roll. Nice to grab and run! We liked that is was open late so we could have a bite after the theater. We met Chef Guy Montgomery and he is a wonderful person. A true ambassador for this hotel! Thanks, Guy, for making us feel welcome in New York!

On a recent stay at the New York Hilton Midtown, I was in need of something to eat after midnight. Guy and his crew at the Herb N’ Kitchen were so wonderful and accommodating. I already love this Hotel and Guy and his midnight chili gave me one more reason to never stay anywhere else on my frequent city trips. Thanks for your hospitality!

What a wonderful and friendly staff this place has. I was greeted by everyone and received the best customer service. I ordered the Spicy chicken flatbread and it was delicious, made fresh right in front of me. This is my favorite crew in New York hands down! Thanks for being so kind! #MemphisDiva

Herb N’ Kitchen is a great stop for a light lunch or a snack. They are quick and have great flat bread pizza. The raisin oatmeal cookies are fantastic too.

A waste of space in the lobby. Snack bar quality food, self-service pre-made sandwich type stuff. The Illy coffee is good. The food is a waste of time and money.

Went there for lunch the day I arrived had a pizza used to go there for a late coffee ☕️ Before I returned to my room to sleep friendly service love it

Tufayel was nice and very generous to meet out with . He was friendly and helped a lot , food was delicious and his service was excellent

If you expect any bit of customer service do not go here. Stayed at the hotel and thought this would be a convenient place to grab food. My first attempt of eating here was when I tried to get room service. It took them 3 hours to call me back to take my order. However, I had already found something else to eat. The hotel manager gave me a meal voucher to try to make up for the horrible service. When I went to use the voucher later on in my stay the staff there refused to acknowledge me at the register and made it difficult for me to order my food. The men that work here were beyond rude to me!

Offers sandwiches, soup, flat bread pizzas, snacks. It very expensive and not worth it. Mostly to go food.

If you don't want to go out to one of the hundreds of restaurants within a ten minute walk, this place will serve you well. And the breakfast offerings are very, very good. For a snack have a bagel. I know, you can get bagels anywhere these days but bagels in NYC are ten cuts above anywhere else

My girlfriends and I had come in late to the hotel from a day trip and were hungery. We didn't want to go back out into the cold and we saw this wonderful assortment of snacks, hot sandwiches and pizza at the Herb N Kitchen. We all ordered the pizza and while we were waiting Chef Guy came out to greet us, and during our conversation he found out it was my friends birthday. When our pizzas were done he made a special treat for my friend just for her birthday and gave it to her. The pizzas were made in a brick oven and were delicious. To top off the customer service Manager Wayne came out to greet us and made sure our food was to our satisfaction. Thank you Chef Guy for making our last night in New York special.

Nothing great, but there it is. You have to spend your "resort fee" somehow, so I guess that's how they get most of their business (and very slow lines).

Is a convenience shop located in the lobby of Hilton midtown Manhattan, nice place with the options for drink or eat

What a chalk and cheese place. Morning staff are friendly, helpful and the price is reasonable however come the evening the staff have customer service skills, the flat breads take ages to cook and you have to remind them what you ordered and the cost does not give value for money. Very disappointed with the evening service

It was raining cats and dogs and we took a shelter in Newyork Hilton midtown and met with Jay in security and asked him if there was a nice place close by where we could sit to eat and he said to follow him. We did and he took us at the back of the lobby where this Nice place called Herb N Kitchen was and he asked Jose Flores the cashier who was at the register to take good care of us. Me Flores brought the menu and took us in the seating area where we sat and enjoyed the best pizza we had in our life. Really great customer service and delicious food. Will come back soon.

A great selection of fruit, cheese, coldcuts, lox, bagels, mini muffins and an omelet station. Great coffee too!

This review is about my breakfast buffet experience. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The host and wait staff provided excellent recommendations for food and the level of service was above and beyond (Mahbub was my waiter and he offered me coffee to go which was perfect for my next meeting). It’s not common to be so pleased with both! At this point I knew that I’d be a repeat customer. The Belgian waffles were my favorite and I don’t usually order them from continental breakfasts or buffet stations because I end up with a dense brick of carbs and a ton of regret. Not this time; light, airy, and super tasty. The oatmeal was primo. Fruits were fresh and delicious. Bacon, sausage, and breakfast potatoes cooked well and tasty. The omelet station was also popular. But I have to catch it during my next visit. There was also a nice selection of pastries. With the assortment of food and beverages available, everyone in the family will find something they enjoy. The key differentiator and why I want to have this breakfast buffet at future business trips is the outstanding service. It’s easy to find food you will enjoy around midtown. Or you can buy pre-made items at the attached shop. Sitting down, eating at your leisure, not being rushed, I can open up my laptop and plan my workday, host will seat you at a quieter corner if you ask. And then I can eat a delicious, fresh breakfast at the pace that suits me. It’s such a great start to my day.

Here I was greeted with a smile and friendly service provided me with a great cappuccino. Here you can buy all you need for your stay in the Hilton.

For those considering Herb N Kitchen for breakfast, the sit-down buffet was excellent . . . it is both expansive and high quality: Bagels and Lox, Pickled Vegetables, Breads & Pastries, Eggs & Meats, Cereals . . the WORKS. The staff is bend-over-backwards helpful and there's ample room for large and small parties alike. If you're not doing the sit-down buffet for breakfast, you can order al a carte from the walk-up counter. Good selection of sandwiches and wraps, but did not taste the food here. . . Very few seating options, so think of this as a to-go option.

This is a review of their breakfast buffet. When you stay in a hotel, there are always various levels of food. Our party of five people had an early morning breakfast during the Thanksgiving Day holiday. As you enter, it is a very spacious spot for the seating and the buffet area. There was a screen divider between the rooms. We were sat in the booth with pretty fast and effective beverage service. For the buffet, we ordered the full continental breakfast. I really liked that there was a variety of options from standard American breakfast to more Asian type food offerings. There was also a lot of fruit and other salad types of options. The as-you-like-it omelet service was pretty stellar and I ordered a smoke Catskill salmon and mozzarella omelet which was very well done. As we departed, they had buckets of fruit which we took a few apples and oranges to go. Midtown is never easy to find great food options. This Herb N Kitchen inside the Hilton Midtown is solid spot which located in the largest hotel in New York with almost 2,000 rooms.

This is a market place style of restaurant in the Midtown Hilton Hotel. Prices are typical but the staff were very unfriendly and remarkably slow as if they just did not care. I would recommend leaving the hotel. There are many great places to eat nearby.

Having read previous reviews of other people's experience on this eatery I have to agree that this place has a monopoly on the people staying at the Hilton. Due to this the staff are not particularly friendly when they charge you you expensive food/drink. There are long lines at times and this only adds to the grumpiness f the staff. My suggestion would be to use the Starbucks across the road for better, friendly and cheaper service.

staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. Thank you Jose M Alores for making us feel really welcome, you are a credit to the Hilton.

I enjoy this place but after 2 days, I run out of things to get at this eatery. Wish Hilton had more options for guests.

I love staying at the Hilton Midtown on the Avenue of the Americas in NYC. While there I decided to try the breakfast buffet. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. The "HOT" foods were literally not hot. The scrambled eggs were watery and there was a disgusting crust on top. The potatoes were cold and had a taste that was not pleasant at all. It seemed like someone put some type of citris into the potatoes. Tea was served lukewarm. Attention to detail extremely lacking. Not worth the price. I will avoid this restaurant in the future for breakfast.

Lots of healthy options in the market outside the restaurant. The breakfast buffet had so many options (both hot and cold) it was great! Service was friendly. Excellent coffee.

Conveniently located in the Midtown Hilton, this cafe has an excellent variety of sandwiches, salads, drinks, and hot selections that you can eat nearby or take to your room. Like most hotel amenities, it is expensive, but for convenience and quality, it's really quite good. The name is clever too.

Only ate breakfast here and it was very good. We had certificates and cannot comment of value for the money. There are many tasty hot and cold selections.

Tufayel has been such a breath of fresh air with how friendly and helpful he always is every year I’m here. He is definitely an asset to your Hilton family. I will continue to enjoy my trip to The Hilton every year.

Conveniently located in Hilton Midtown hotel and offers great variety for breakfast. A bit pricey (consistent w/ NYC prices), but HH Gold and Diamond did receive discount vouchers. Hope those will return.

Had the most excellent brick oven white pizza. it literally melts in your mouth with layers of flavor. Definitely worth trying!

If you are staying in this hotel this is a great place to grab a quick snack or breakfast. However it is very expensive! $10 for a coffee and croissant is a ridiculous in my opinion.

The only reason I've given Service as 1 star is cos of this 1 staff member who is completely unprofessional, no name badge nothing or else i would have mentioned his name here, who looks like he works for a gang. Not at all well groomed, I'm talkin about this bearded guy with tattoos all over, at the cashier/ checkout of Herb N'Kitchen, Hilton Manhattan Hotel who doesn't have any courtesy, no soft skills, no manners to talk to customers. All I asked was just to trade in my breakfast coupon for a take away sandwich & coffee, to which he started yelling at me & raising his voice at me & threatening me in front of other customers. Look if he doesn't want to work, that's fine, let some1 else take his place who is more customer service oriented with basic manners of how to talk to customers. Highly unacceptable behaviour from this unprofessional person. Herb N'Kitchen this is for You; PLEASE TEACH YOUR STAFF BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, PLEASEEE BE STRICT ABOUT THIS, PLEASE TEACH YOUR STAFF NOT TO TALK TO CUSTOMERS LIKE THE STAFF IS KING & CUSTOMERS ARE CRAP... HOPE YOU'LL READ REVIEWS & FOLLOW UP...

Herb Kitchen great little spot if you are staying in the hotel, its open early till late and you can get most things, fairly good value and great choices available.

A little expensive but very convenient when staying at Hilton Midtown. The baked goods looked great as well.

this restaurant is very convenient if you are staying at the New York Hilton. The food is okay. The breakfast buffet including the omelette bar is worth it. Make sure to get there early enough on the weekends to get seated promptly.. It is probably not worth it to wait the line at 10 o'clock to eat breakfast. Overall, this is a very convenient restaurant for Hilton guests, but I probably would not go out of my way to eat there given the number of quality restaurants in Midtown

Guy was a great host & spoke extremely highly of the Hilton franchise! He was very helpful and kind hearted.

The warm "fresh" sandwiches sit under a heat lamp, the "fresh" salads are pre-made in the refrigerator section. It's fine if you're in a hurry and need to grab n'go, be prepared to spend and arm and a leg for crap food.

Looks clean, fresh and welcoming. Sadly, you wait forever while staff wander off knowing there is a queue of people waiting. Food looks nice, salads etc. Far too expensive, not so tasty. Drinks are a rip off and we allow it by buying from here. If you want to absorb someone's bad mood, take a chance on being treated poorly. The staff are being paid to work here, you're on holiday or business. You don't want to waste time waiting half an hour to be served whilst the staff member toddles off, or, the staff on the other counter look at you and ignore you.

their breakfast buffet is amazing, but very pricey. Also good for a late night snack - more reasonably priced. Staff is helpful. Nice variety of food.

This establishment is convenient for guest staying at the hotel, as there is no actual restaurant within the hotel. There are a range of hot and cold food, snacks and drinks available. There is a soup and dish of the day amongst the other options to choose from. I found the staff to be nice and friendly although on first appearance some of them appear to be standoffish, as they were not smiling, but as soon as you approach them, they were very helpfully friendly. The food was nice but nothing spectacular and a little overpriced. There are several eating establishments within the area. I would not recommend a special visit to this one unless you are limited on time and staying at the hotel.

Your only option inside the Hilton after noon. Ridiculous that Hilton doesn't offer sit down dining. Staff at the Herb N. Kitchen ignored patrons, rang up wrong orders and generally disinterested in helping folks. I stood in front of one register for 90 seconds and literally seven staff made eye contact and did not move to assist me. I almost shoplifted. Pre-packaged food at an outrageous price. Someone said the pizza was good - but the panini was average at best and cost $15.

This was the absolute best part of staying at the Hilton. Diamond member at Hilton but this was only place we ended up getting food or coffee.

A little better than a bag of Cheeto’s but the food truck on the corner has fresh food if your hungry and don’t want to travel. Rays Pizza is less than a block away and open until 5:00am. Why would you ever eat here?

Very nice food, preparred fresh but relatively fast - and very friendly staff (thanks Notifa Johnson)

Wow how expensive is this place?!? $9+ for skittles??! Only shopped here to use the mandatory $35 a day resort fee. $20 exc tax for a sandwich. Yes. A sandwich. Very very expensive and overpriced

Appallingly expensive; 16.95 for a 250ml of crappy Chardonnay wine (😂) and 8.95 for a 500ml of Heineken. Didn’t even get proper glasses or ice, lol. Absolutely awful, no atmosphere. Sadly had to choose this place as it seems to be the only place in NYC with toilets nearby!!!

This place has AVERAGE food and i think i'm being generous with that assessment. The prices are very high, would NOT recommend

The line every morning (in fairness, over the New Year's days) was 20-40 minutes long to sit down. Thankfully there was this small 'convenience store area, pictured, to get coffee, donut, crappy bagel (came to NYC and got a crappy bagel for breakfast, how lame is that?)

Since we are staying at The Hilton, it was so easy and convenient to go down to the lobby to Herb N Kitchen. The coffee was great, and blueberry scone delicious. Also the staff on Sunday was welcoming, and extremely friendly.

This is a convenient spot in the Hilton lobby. We had 2 lunches there during our stay. The food prices are fair, and the quality was pretty good for pre-made sandwiches. It looks like there is a larger dining room available, but perhaps its only open for dinner because it was closed both days...that left limited seating options. The tables aren't cleaned so theres usually a little self cleaning here. But a good option if you want a quick meal, or grab go.

My daughter ordered a chicken Caesar salad and she said it was an average salad. The price wasn't too bad.

Whether you want a relaxed sit-down breakfast or need a cuppa to grab and go, the Herb N' Kitchen will take good care of you.

Herb N Kitchen is by far, the best hotel, off-the Lobby grab and go place! It has great coffee, teas, snacks, ready-made sandwiches, pizzas, Panini´s, desserts and beverages. With a sit-down area next to it, this quick eatery makes it the perfect spot for quick and simple meal. The service is really good, quick and ready for the morning coffee runners!

Overall good food, slightly overpriced, but mostly very slow service. When you order 2 cappuccinos be ready to wait 10+ minutes.

We had coupons to spend but even with them it was expensive. My food was tasty but the choices were so limited. The service was so slow. I was afraid we would miss out on our plans.

My father and I where there in May. Herb N’ Kitchen saved our lives!! Jose, our friend from Mexico, was extremely helpful and joyful, he helped make our stay more special. We highly recommend this place! Saludos!

Nothing like a bad cup of latte and an overstuffed, soggy, almost uneatable breakfast sandwich to start your day. No better than fast-food and for the 'low price' of only $20!! I'll go down the street the next time I stay at this location.

Excellent for morning coffee, grab and go and light dinners. Pre-packaged snacks and great beverage assortment. Excellent pizza!

Went here three times while staying at Hilton. Received 3days worth of coupons when checking in for our stay. Everyone enjoyed something from the cereal and pastries to the ham and yogurt. This it plenty of food for most people. The hot buffet is much more expensive and extensive. Quality is great. Service is great for a buffet depending on server. Good place to start your day.

This is a very expensive deli/coffee shop/counter service type of place in the lobby of the Hilton. The staff was friendly, but it is very expensive ($60 for 2 salads, 1 hot dog and fries, 2 sodas, and a bowl of chili) and the hot dog and fries were absolutely awful. The condiments (mustard and ketchup in a dispenser) tasted watered down. With so many delis within a block or two, I'm surprised it was just so darn bad. Walk across the street and go anyplace else.

Got there early for a flight and was told only one line was open. So we moved to the end of decently long line. Shortly after the other lie opens up and people start walking up and getting food.

The tomato, mozzarella, basil flatbread pizza is the best. I grab breakfast and dinner here when I'm traveling for business. The hot food is great and there is beer/wine to go as well.

Decent selection for lunch with soft drinks, but expensive. Not many tables to sit at. There is a restaurant but this is only open for breakfast.

We stopped by here on a few occasions while staying at the Hilton Midtown. There are a lot of snack foods to choose from. We tried the mac and cheese, pizza, and cookies. The cookies were great but the other two items were sub-par.

Stopped for breakfast and was sure never to go back again. First, although there are several registers, you can only get food from one and then they direct you to where you can pick your own food. The food itself was not very good but I really didn't expect it would be, but for the price I would expect much more.

Guy is amazing here at herb N’ Kitchen. He really knows how to make you feel welcome and is super knowledgeable about the menu. The food here is amazing I couldn’t ask for anything better. The buffet for breakfast is so good. The pastrami omelette with cheddar cheese is TO DIE FOR. If you are in town make sure you stop here and ask for GUY!!

Long lines, pricey. Friendly staff. Can't think of anything worth remembering that I ate there. Convenient!

Food and service were fine. Would have been happy if bill came to $25 or $30. Was blindsided by $48 check (with mandatory, automatically-included 15% gratuity) for breakfast (there is no menu ordering; it’s buffet-only if you want to eat fresh food and not the pre-made sandwiches from their take-out kiosk). Even for NYC this is high. Not helpful for those of us having to submit this as a business expense.

The Hilton's Herb n Kitchen offers a wide variety of food for snacking or for meals, as well as great hot and cold drinks.

Wide selection of freshly prepared lunches, sandwiches and snack. Good assortment of packaged favorites, waters and juices too. Fast and friendly service.

Definitely overpriced premade food even for New York City hotel. Service is OK. Management has a tendency to blame the hotel and not take responsibility for any challenges that occur. Had difficulty charging to the room, which restaurant manager showed me was the hotels fault and not theirs. Honestly didn’t care whose fault it is just wanted to get food.
Good fresh food to go
Fresh salads, sandwiches, continental breakfast voices and good coffee. Self service. If you are a guest at the Midtown Hilton or not, you will find this a good place to stop for a quick bite.
