A cross of Manhattan and Cape Cod

By Alan304 |

After walking down a flight of stairs, you are transported to a comfortable space that feels more like Cape Cod than Manhattan. The creative cocktails and imaginative menu reminds you that you are in Manhattan. The Mezcal Hurricane was smoky and flavorful. The Sazerac was smooth and a delightful dessert. The Fried Chicken was outstanding. The Caviar Tater Tots were memorable. The service was attentive. Consider making a reservation, as the space can become crowded.

13th Wedding Anniversary Dinner

By David B |

To celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary, we decided to go a little casual this time around. As big fans of Pilot on the East River and Grand Banks, we decided to try out Holywater. Being on a Monday, reservations are not really necessary until the fall season starts kicking. Upon entering you head downstairs to the galley of the restaurant and the walls are adorned with frames about everything, not just nautical elements. We both had a dirty martini!! Which was quite yummy, then later I switched to “Lunch” their IPA from Maine which I actually had the original Maine Brewing co, near Yarmouth ME. We shared their PEI oysters and baby grilled gem lettuce Caesar’s yummy as well. I also got their Gumbo, while my wife wanted the lobster roll, they were sold out!!! Too bad, she had the BBQ Shrimp instead. Everything was really good and hope to go back soon.

drop by for cocktail

Holy Water is a fantastic find in Tribeca! The staff is super friendly and attentive, always ready to help with drink or food picks. We sampled five cocktails, and the Mariner (gin-based) stole the show—perfectly crafted and refreshing. Highly recommend it! The food was great too: creamy oysters that tasted super fresh, juicy chicken with great seasoning, and a solid hanger steak. Their lobster frites were a nice surprise, rich and satisfying. The vibe is unique, like stepping into a New Orleans ship’s underbelly with candles, nautical art, and cozy seating—perfect for a romantic night or hanging with friends. Finding the entrance on Reade St can be a bit confusing, but the experience inside makes up for it. Overall, a very good spot I’d happily visit again

Found a gem

Great atmosphere. Went looking for oysters and found this gem. The caviar tater tots were awesome. I would highly recommend.
