Definitely one of the best Korean bbq experiences out there, been twice and loved both visits

By Dr Z |

For those who love Cote , this will be a superior and more pleasant experience. The meats are amazing, excellent quality and prepared to perfection, but they also have excellent noodles and the ban chan are tasty, creative, unique and feel more authentic than in Cote. Most importantly the service is excellent and friendly and not pretentious which cannot be said from the place I mentioned earlier…

New addition to my favorite Korean BBQ Places in NYC

By Chelsea K |

I’ve been to many Korean BBQ places in the city, and this one has definitely become one of my top 3. The restaurant is spacious (three-story building) but still very intimate. Looked perfect for a date night! We came as a group of three and had a reservation, which I highly recommend since it gets pretty busy. All of the meats we ordered were perfectly cooked, the staff was attentive even though he looked like he was serving two tables at the same time. Unlike many other KBBQ spots, the atmosphere wasn’t too loud, so we could actually have a conversation which is a big plus! Definitely don’t miss out on the cold noodles, they were honestly the best I’ve had so far. Perfect way to cleanse your palate after the barbecue! Overall I would definitely go back, maybe during Christmas season.

Professionals

This is not a warm and cozy family restaurant. These people are professionals. From check in to seating to the clearing of tables they are precise efficient and all about the business. They are friendly enough, attentive without being overbearing. The food was first rate. Meat was world class. The man who grilled the meat was clearly a professional. He had specific reasons for the order of the types of meat and recommendations on which condiment it best pairs with. The meat was cooked perfectly. Every time. Some may consider it pricey but for everything that comes with it I would consider it extremely reasonable for Korean BBQ. Don’t expect them to know you by name but they would treat you professionally, courteously and serve world class KBBQ.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cozy, Classy, and Delicious! HOWOO Nails the Balance

By FORKSnFEELINGS |

HOWOO has that mix of cozy and fancy. The kind of place where you can relax, but still feel like you’re treating yourself. The food was genuinely good. Flavourful cuts of meat, fresh sides, and clean presentation. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted high quality without trying too hard. It’s refined but still comforting, which is a hard balance to pull off. The vibe was our favorite part: warm lighting, modern décor, and that low hum of good conversation and sizzling grills. It feels polished but not pretentious. Perfect for a date night or a relaxed dinner with friends. At around $320 for two, it’s definitely a splurge, but the portions, quality, and smooth service made it feel worth it. If you’re looking for authentic Korean BBQ in NYC that feels both intimate and elevated, HOWOO is a great pick. Cozy, classy, and quietly confident, it leaves you satisfied in every way that matters.

Best Korean BBQ I’ve Had in NYC!

By Danny H |

I visited Howoo Korean BBQ while traveling in New York, and it was honestly one of the best meals of my trip. The meat had beautiful marbling, was incredibly tender, and you could really taste the quality and every bite was just perfect! The restaurant’s ambiance was absolutely amazing, lively, full of energy, and packed with people. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re visiting NYC and love good food, definitely add this spot to your list!
