I actually think it's better than pancakes on the rocks and on your receipt, they give a voucher for a free stack if you do the survey... so do it its worth it. Coffee wasn't good.

Before exploring New York City me and my friend decided to visit IHOP as she had never been before. Upon arriving we were greeted by a lovely waitress who seated us and gave us the menu. The menu is massive - they have everything to cater for everyone. From a small stack of pancakes to the 3 x 3 x 3 - three sausages, three eggs, three pancakes, three bacon rashes and three pancakes I believe - for less than $15 that's incredible! I ordered a regular stack of pancakes and they were so fluffy and delicious - they have a range of toppings for pancakes on the table such as maple syrup, blueberry and raspberry. Throughout our visit our waitress was very attentive by making sure we were happy with our food and filling up our drinks when she saw they were empty. Our bill came to $35 for two meals and two drinks, this price excluding a tip. With a wide variety of food and drinks, friendly staff and huge portions - what more could you want! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get large portions of freshly made food for affordable prices. I would recommend going here on an empty stomach and remembering that these portion sizes are enormous - I couldn't even finish a stack of pancakes!

This was the ultimate American experience! Bacon, pancakes, syrup, coffee! The service was friendly and quick. The hash browns were so great! And the pancakes.... Perfect! It was so good we went back a second time!

For me is the best pancake in the world, but all the food are very good, the price is ok and the the place is cool amd clean, and the employes are very polite!

If you are looking for something American this is it. It had 80's nostalgia about it. Food was good for breakfast! I loved it. We we seated next to a native New Yorker who was from uptown and gave us a lot of info about the city . So we were very lucky. Our waitress was from the Bronx she was lovely.

Excellent for a quick bite to eat and the staff were great too! I recommend checking groupon etc as we got a great deal for a $20 voucher that only cost us $10. We both had the breakfast combo for $12.00 with refillable soft drinks which was great value!

We have been to NYC three times now and this year we said we had to try IHop. Both myself and my other half had the split decision breakfast which contained two rashers, two eggs, two sausages and two slices of french toast which came with two lovely big fluffy butter milk pancakes. I got a strawberry milkshake with my breakfast and it toasted gorgeous and my other half got orange juice which tasted really fresh. Towards the end of our holiday we went back and this time I got the same breakfast but my other half got the five stack of buttermilk pancakes which was alot and maybe next time will opt in for the three stack.

It's IHOP so, yeah. The pancakes are good (though a lot more expensive than I remember...) and everything else is terrible. Order accordingly. Service was good though. Only one guy waiting tables hustling like a boss.

I had breakfast for dinner here late July and was pleased that the Breakfast Sampler was just like any other IHOP I have visited. Service and the kitchen were both quick and my eggs were exactly as ordered. Prices were a bit higher than Texas IHOP's but acceptable for NYC. The booth I was seated in was a bit run down but also acceptable.

Saturday breakfast in a very busy restaurant. Pretty short wait. Seating space was pretty tight but was well lit and didn't feel claustrophobic. Service was very good, and the food was well prepared. Offered discounts for +55. Since I'm not from NYC, I can only guess that the prices were not too unreasonable.

We visited IHOP on a Sunday morning where we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. It , like most NY restaurants, was very busy. Once seated our waitress was quick to come over and take our order. They were out of bananas- odd but ok. She brought our hot drinks and our kids chocolate milk. The coffee was served with individual hazelnut creamers as if that was the normal creamer. When we asked about regular creamer we were told they were out but could bring us some milk. Again odd. After waiting for 25 minutes we were served our omelet, egg combo meal and 2 kids meals. We finally received the ice water we had asked for when we first sat down. $57 later we were done and heading for our next location. Don’t think I’d go there again.

Staff was very friendly from when we walked in to walked out. Accommodated our requests for breakfast. We had the NYC cheesecake pancakes as well as hash browns, toast and scrambled eggs. When we asked without the strawberry (as I am very conscious on sugar), they accommodated it without any problems, and I enjoyed my food. They tried to help us pay through the app and even though it did not work out, I appreciate their assistance. By New York standards, I guess the prices make sense. We came here after a flight from SFO and not getting our room at the Hilton UN Plaza.

It was the 60th Anniversary so everyone ordered Pancakes in commemoration, sadly we were a bit disappointed...they tasted ready-made like out of a Box and had a weird texture. However, the Spicy Poblano Omelette delivered well, loved it! It was packed with peppers, onions, cheese, shredded beef and topped with fresh Avocado...the Splashberry was delicious too, a bonus!

Every time I'm in NYC I go out of my way to have breakfast here at least once, no matter where I'm staying. Although I notice seeing more and more tourists in stead of locals, I still highly recommend it.

I liked the turkey sandwich as an entrée, and the hot fudge sundae for dessert. Sometimes I like the pancakes that they serve.

We loved every bit of the food and it was one of the highlights of our NYC trip. It was however not the most scenic location and the layout of the restaurant on the inside felt a bit crowded. This however might easily be related to the fact this branch was an inner city one. Still lovely food

Large space close to union square with plenty of choice. Fast food chain with lots of pancake options. I recommend the waffles and the avocado eggs. The hot chocolate is huge and the meals are value for money. Friendly and helpful staff.

This IHOP attracts a young crowd, near East Village and NYU. Service with a smile, but somewhat slow. As some reviewers note it is a little dark inside... IHOP pretty much has a standard menu, and if you find something you like, especially with the entrees-stick with it!.... I did have something new for a change- the dark chocolate pancakes...These were good, but not enough chocolate chips or chocolate filling I think...Still tasty, plenty to eat, and I brought some in the doggy bag for the next day as dessert.

We travelled half way across Manhattan to get to this ihop. I wonder why they don’t have more restaurants closer to midtown? Anyway, after waiting around 20 minutes at around 2pm we were seated. The guy on the reception desk could have had better customer service skills as he came across a bit rude and immature however, our waiter, Ronald was great. He was very attentive making sure our drinks were topped up. The pancake stacks were huge and can’t believe they were so cheap. The Oreo milkshake was also amazing. Coming from the U.K. we really appreciate a good stack on pancakes mmmmm!

Really enjoyed visit for brunch, never been to an IHOP before and wans't dissapointed. Staff were really lovely, our waitress Emma was really friendly and very attentive. Food was really good and enjoyed the unlimited pancakes and coffee. Would recommend

Really enjoyed my visit to ihop. It was easy to find and the staff there are lovely. I had a bad experience with ihop back in 2014, but I gave it another chance on my most recent trip to New York and I’m so glad I did. Their chicken n waffles are literally to die for! Waffles were fluffy and delicious and the fried chicken was gloriously crispy!! The reviews on pancakes and waffles are basically gold starred, so I think stick to this when ordering.

As a couple of British people, we wete unprepared for the gigantic sizes of the portions. I had the pancakes with strawberries, and my girlfriend had the eggs with avocado on toasy. Ok food, defo worth a visit if youre new to the states.

Service was excellent. Food was edible. Good if you like American style breakfast. I had the omelett was too much salt too much grease and too many calories.

Reasonably priced and filling breakfast. The pancakes are good, selection of syrups on the table and the wait staff and friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't really like was the cream on the pancakes - it was salty (as there was butter in it) which I totally didn't expect!

We came here as we like to visit ihops when we come to America. This wasn't my favourite, the resultant has loads of tables all packed in together so there is no room to move and the floor looked like it needed a good sweep. The staff were pleasant enough to us but we did witness a staff member arguing with a customer. The food was as good as it usually is which was what got the review to 3 stars. We probably wouldn't go back here.

Very good selection and spread, we’ve gone there twice, great portions, lovely service, excellent all round really.

Having previously enjoyed eating breakfast at other IHOPs, my kids were desperate that eat ate at IHOP on our 3 day visit to New York. So on our second morning we made the effort to get the subway to the closest station and take a 10 minute walk rather than eating at the diner close to our hotel....well it wasn't worth it. Despite being quite quiet the service was not good, it was a struggle to attract the staff's attention, we had to ask for drink refills, my food came out cold and it was quite a wait to get it warmed up. Also the rest rooms had a large wait mainly because they were insufficient for the size of the restaurant. The food itself was ok, but could have been better.....don't go out of your way to come here.

Used to go to the Ihop many years ago in Virginia when I was a boy, so couldn’t resist trying it while in NYC. This ones not very pretty, but the menu lived up to expectations with lots of great pancake options. To be fair the menu is quite broad nowadays and went quite a way from just pancakes, including lots of other options. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, while the family had crepes and combinations of pancakes with sausages, bacon, eggs and hash browns. My wife who doesn’t eat eggs was well looked after with some French toast. But I’ll concentrate on the pancakes, they were superb, fresh, warm and really tasty. My only disappointment was a lack of coffee options, no latte, cappuccino etc.

I brought my husband here for the first time on our honeymoon as I had been here as a kid and loved it. And to no surprise so did he. The service was excellent and so was the food!!

We expected to wait for a table as we know how busy ihop can be, and were seated after about ten mins. The waitress was polite and friendly but everything took too long, waited about 20 mins just for a refil! The food was classic ihop and we really enjoyed it, but we didn’t enjoy the 45mins it took to get to us! The waitress kept disappearing for ages and we could get, more syrup, refills etc. An ok visit but clearly the restaurant needs more staff.

Visited ihop in New York on 19th May 2019 for breakfast, we liked everything about food. Just want to warn everyone - don't pay by card! They coppy your card details! After 2 months I noticed some transactions from my account, someone using my card details to pay in ihop! Already reported to the bank.

I have been to lots of iHops around USA, but this one is probably one of the worst ones. The waiter we had was awful, no manners and ignorant. The food came out luke warm and there was hardly any syrup left in the bottles on our table. It took him 10 minutes to get them filled up in which time our food was cold. You'd think that with the amount of tourists in NYC, this would be one of the better ones.

Came here for breakfast during our holiday in NYC and loved it. Can't remember which meal I got exactly, but had the fry up with sausages, eggs and hash brown which were very good. And the pancakes are so fluffy! Price-wise, this is more of a cheap eat, but to be honest, I didn't find anything in New York particularly 'cheap'!

Very exciting to finally br returning to a IHOP after many years. We arrived early morning and were stood waiting in reception area for a few minutes before a member of staff appeared. Once seated we were served and my pancakes did not disappoint. Scrummy. The restaurant itself looked like it needed some love, tierd decoration and table area's looked sad.

Very disappointed! As we are being escorted to a table passing numerous empty tables, I asked in a decent manner why do we have to go all the way to the back when there are empty tables here and it's not too busy not crowded? As soon as we sat a table an officer comes to us an says they not going to serve you and you have to leave. How ironic is that. Then he states if we don't leave we will be arrested for trespassing. I have never in my my been insulted or embarrassed for asking a simple question. I made need to bring this to media attention. How degrading and poor judgement!

Always enjoy an ihop breakfast.. first visit to this particular restaurant left a little to be desired service wise, but the food was delicious.

First had Ihop when we visited Florida three years ago and been thinking about it since! lol. Didn't disappoint, breakfast sampler as nice as remembered, coffee fantastic and great service. Please, please open an Ihop in the UK so can get my fix on a more regular basis!

IHOP as you would expect. A bit outdated interior however easily compensated by the friendly waitress and the fast service. CleaClea

What a pleasant surprise this tasty treat is! The kids suggested our visit and I've got to say it was super tasty with a great menu and very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit particularly with teenage kids. Thank you!

We walked for over an hour in hot, sticky NY temperatures to reach this wonderful restaurant..I think that shows our determination to eat there! Packed to the rafters with locals and tourists alike, we still enjoyed excellent, friendly, efficient service and delicious food. Bacon and scrambled eggs, French toast and pancakes..everything was so tasty and well presented. Unlimited coffee refills, and thirst quenching orange juice kept us hydrated despite the heat. Not a cheap option, but worth every cent. The menu is crammed full of amazing dishes to suit any time of day-try it !!!

Arrived around 10am on a weekday and didn't have a problem getting a seat. Staff were slow and was a problem getting served quickly. Despite being a chain restaurant food was tasty and portion sizes are big. I ordered the Belgian waffle combo and would highly recommend it. Was a hair in my eggs but did get sorted quick. Decor inside the restaurant not the most appealing. Will come back again next time I'm in the States.

Awful experience. The waitress has a bit of an "attitude" - the food took ages to arrive and the bacon was not crispy as requested or the eggs cooked properly. She took them away and we waited for over 15mins for fresh food, meanwhile the hash browns and french toast became cold. We complained and the waitress spoke to the manager who DIDN'T speak to us - he walked about a lot but never engaged with the customers. The place needs a good clean and certainly needs fresh upbeat happy staff.

Love the breakfast here! Nice and big pancakes, good milkshakes and a wide choice of breakfast. Love the sirloin steak breakfast, the steak is nicely seasoned and hashbrown is awesome! Can't wait to go back again soon.

waited about 20 minutes to be seated and it was so busy that the service was a little slow, which was understandable. All 6 of my friends came with but we couldn't see a vegan option so 1 of my friends didn't eat. The rest of us LOVED our pancakes, very different flavours and for a good price. Massive portions.

A Very warm welcome, good service great food very impressed and not badly priced. Would recommend ihop if ever in nyc

We visited the 14th St branch in NY. The food and service was exquisite. Good value for money. An excellent American institution!

I discovered IHOP on my last West Coast trip three years ago and LOVED it, so I was excited to find that New York had one as well. The wait on a Sunday early afternoon was about 25 minutes. Once seated, I wasn't too impressed by our waiter - when he brought me my drink he did so wordlessly, and threw the straw on the table. It's the little things... My order was wrong too - I ordered the pancake combo with scrambled eggs and sausage, but was brought bacon instead. The eggs and hashbrowns tasted generic, the pancakes were as good as always though. Still, I was left wondering whether I'd made it up in my mind to be better than it actually was, or if there are stark differences between the west and east coast franchises, or if I was just unlucky with my particular order.

O stars...the utensils were dirty the Manager claimed that it was water stains. The philly steak sucked could have purchased a better one at a halal stand and a corner deli. The chicken and fries...I rather purchase it from McDonalds... the pancakes got it in a dirty plate and the waitress saw it.. which I could mot make it up.. the Manager gave me a credit for 1 pancake of $2.25 claiming he couldn't do better. I refused to touch the pancakes never ate them I was too disgusted!

My friend recommended this place to be before leave for NYC the equivalent to a Greece spoon in the UK. Your not getting fine dinning and spectacular atmosphere but you do get friendly staff and delicious food, I had the pancakes which were banging and the corned beef hash brown. This isn’t a fancy stylish cafe and I’m great full for that, it felt like an authentic NYC experience.

We had never been to IHOP or the USA before but after 4 days in NYC I really craved pancakes. There was a massive queue at 10.30 but we were sat within 5 mins by a very friendly young man. Our server was efficient but not particularly friendly (seems to be common in NYC servers though) and we ordered quickly. We had blueberry pancakes and strawberry/banana pancakes which were huge and great value... They tasted fantastic too! The unlimited refill drinks were a nice touch. I know it's a budget chain but we were happy with the food and service and although the decor is basic, it was very clean. We'd come back anytime!

I ordered the red, white and blue pancakes. I waited a long time for my food and imagine the horror when I received soggy pancakes with rotten fruit on top. I called the waiter and told him my strawberries were brown He said ... So you don't want brown strawberries I said ... No He said...so what do you want me to do, change the strawberries. I said.... yes As I waited, everyone who left the kitchen gave me a dirty look, as if I did something wrong They are soooooo disgusting here. They returned the same pancakes (soggy) with fresh strawberries. I was speechless and unsatisfied but I didn't want to go back and forth with them. I eat the dry pancakes and threw away the wet and left, I tipped because I didn't think it is my server fault. but this was nasty.

We walked to this restaurant from 129th St. based on the positive reviews, but upon arrival it turned out that it had been closed for some time. So no longer open!

huge portions, tasty food, inside felt a bit dark and loud. Toilets clean. Staff friendly, would go back. Food very fresh

Took the family here for a late lunch. We all ordered breakfast items: 2 for 2 for 2, build your own, and chicken & waffles. All were good. Chicken was chicken strips, but close enough. Service was a little slow. It was my daughters birthday. We told the server, but we didn't get the free entrée. I guess this IHOP doesn't participate.

Definitely recommend the pancakes, myself could not even finish the 3-tier, while others struggled with the 5-tier buttermilk pancakes. A variety of pancakes, all sounding delicious and if it is anything that the originals are, they will be delicious. The milkshake nice too but, very filling.

IHOP is a very popular place in my home, ans its an American brand, so I thought it will be like a dazzling food over-here, but well , for me and my colleagues, it was an average food. Good staff, not a busy restaurant, the tropical mango soda was good , but the food was indeed average. Will not drive to the 3rd avenue for it again

They offered Gluten friendly menu which was the whole reason for going. They brought my "GF pancakes" and regular ones for rest of the table . They all looked the same and there were in the same type of plates with out any mark or distinction (they also looked the same). I asked the waitress if she was sure and doubtfully said yes but there was no way of telling and she refused to go back and asked so it was impossible to eat for me.

Food very good and staff very attentive can get busy in peak times. We used most mornings for breakfast and the pancakes were fabulous 😀😀

It's been about 15 years since I had my last IHOP. I've been preaching their name to anyone who ever mentions America. And they did not disappoint. We had to go a fair distance from our hotel to get there but linked it in with visiting an attraction that was in downtown Manhattan. The restaurant was easy to locate and the excitement I got when seeing the recognisable blue sign I had longed for for years. Once in the restaurant the staff were very friendly and seated us quickly. The lady who served us (apologise the excitement of the pancakes I didn't catch your name) was very polite and really helpful. I was almost like a novice when it came to the menu and she helped me with the right selection. The service was fast and the food was of excellent quality, good to see they still have 4 different syrup flavours on the table ready for you to douse your pancakes in. The pancakes were as good as I remembered and the bacon, hash brown and eggs I had with mine were also very tasty. An overall enjoyable day for an avid IHOP fan who has waited a long time to have one. The 14th street restaurant in New York was a pleasure too, the staff very polite and helpful, the place was clean and it was good value for money. My only one thing is that the menu doesn't seem as pancake orientated as I remember it seems like they're straying away from pancakes and moving onto other options as the main source. But other than that it was a very happy customer that left.

Managed to enjoy 2 separate mornings at this place. Never disappoints! Blueberry pancakes were amazing

It was busy when we visited, but service was still fast. Pancake choice was create. I decided on the cupcake ones and they were incredible. Good portion size, as usual.

Went to i hop with family in the bronx and it was a great visit there and the food is lovely Had pancakes and jam with tea and it was hmmmm great .....

We have visited many IHOP over the years and this one is a bit dark and decrepit inside compared but it was clean and the staff were very friendly and the service very good. The food was just as I expected. I do think it felt pricey though. Location is a bit off the main roads but no problem walking there.

We have been to another IHOP before and had a better experience there. Prices here are higher but the staff was friendly and food was ok. The restaurant is a little dark but clean. Food quality is standard. I'd go to another IHOP next time, outside of Manhattan as you pay for the location.

Buttermilk pancakes with extra butter and syrup is always soooo deliciously decadent for breakfast, especially with sausage and smoked bacon. IHOP is a great place for breakfast lunch and dinner with such a wide menu offering other great meals. The service is prompt and friendly. The coffee however was disappointing but the orange juice was really very good. All in all I am a fan and will always visit IHOP.

Rude, maybe because we are tourists . Didnt like the flavour. Lots of fame but never again going there. The good thing was the milkshake

Wanted to do the typical diner breakfast experience whilst in NYC. Pancakes all round, bottomless drinks, exactly what we wanted and great service too.

Infamous food, dubious freshness , training (not to want to eat anymore), frame ok but good, very cheap and especially the worry is the price shock!!! At least twice the price of a cozy little place with great food. Three-way breakfast this morning: 2 omelets, 2 coffees, an avocado (finally a slice) toast, 3 pancakes: 90$!!!! But what?!!!!!! Anyway, never ever again

I loved the location on W 14st but they closed. We decided to try this one. We went to this IHOP for Sunday brunch. First of all, we were seated in a booth all the way in the back by the bathroom. We could hear the hand dryers and flushing. There were other empty booths available on our way to the back. My daughter was served hot chocolate in a dirty cup with a lipstick stain on it. Our waitress quickly got us a new one, but that was just disgusting. The food was just OK, I've had much better at other IHOP locations. My scrambled eggs were overdone and the hash browns were little mushy. Our entire experience was nasty.also, the check came out to almost $70. NEVER AGAIN!

My wife & I love having long breakfasts here.Despite the ever-present long line upon entry, service is always fast & attentive. However,I would recommend one sticking to foods they are familiar with eating when making a menu choice. That way you can never go wrong. They will happily change an item if you dislike the taste, however.I personally always go here very hungry as a first meal of the day & cant wait for a whole different meal to be made. The manager Jorge is very clean cut & caring towards customers, making sure we were taken care of.The coffee is on the weak side, but the food makes up for that. The sugar content in their hot chocolate creations is high enough to send one to the moon & back which was why we skipped that this trip. This is still our favorite IHOP location, that we patronize 3X per month.

we like the different things you can get here for breakfast, and it is nice to change now and again, the service is friendly and the food is good

Big, bright, clean and very welcoming. We were served by Shaunte who was so lovely. In a city where our usual chains let us down this restored our faith completely. We had a lovely breakfast and would definitely recommend anyone to come visit. Great dependable ihop food, lovely clean restaurant and decent size booths (which is rarity in New York) and all the staff were welcoming, pleasant and efficient. Try them out you won't be disappointed

I loved our they had different foods for reasonable pricing but it was not a big deal. The pancakes were wonderful thought. I will still suggest people to try it.

My son (10yrs) and his school friends found this restaurant chain as part of a school project!! This was the only place he wanted to eat at. Based on that we travelled out of our way to sample the pancakes. Good service by the waitress. Average food quality. Wouldn't return or visit another of it's restaurants based on my first experience.

Excellent food & service. Coffee was delicious I never normally like coffee but I enjoyed it here. I had pancakes, bacon, sunny side up eyes and a hash brown and my mum had berry pancakes - both were really yummy. Toilet was clean too

My wife and I arrived at 4 am was at a table at 4:10 am which didn’t take long and the food was amazing we ordered the breakfast sampler with strawberry banana pancakes and a pitcher of organge juice we had a great server sadly I can not remember her name but she was amazing she satisfied every need and was working mainly by herself busting at least 10 tables but she up kept it so thank you again mam I would definitely recommend eating there it’s a great environment for friends, family, or just breakfast

had to rush back to the hotel after eating here due to a personal stomach emergency, but my wife thought it was worth it. the birthday pancakes were maybe too sweet for my liking, but overall the food was very tasty. service was very good, with friendly staff.

IHOP was recently renovated. It looks almost exactly the same to me except the colors are darker. I guess that everything is new, therefore cleaner, which, though, was never an issue. As for the food, it's always consistent, and very good. I was there last week, had pancakes and eggs, and it was good. I go here regularly for breakfast at lunch.

Not impressed. Visited as a group of 10, 5 were children. Felt like an inconvenience , and overcharged for drinks we didn’t have despite being free refills, didn’t have time to check the bill , food wasn’t that nice not worth $200. Won’t go back.

Hearty fare. Hearty, hearty fare. I felt like I was in a freezing cold episode of Breaking Bad or Fargo and I needed pancakes and salt of the earth service to warm my cockles. And astonishingly, my cockles were warmed! Pancakes and hash brown with eggs and bacon.. just like those movies most English blokes watch and think I wish we had the same over here. Well when you visit the USA, live the dream and come to IHOP. The bad news is, I left NY today. The good news is there’s an IHOP in Philadelphia where I’m heading. The dream’s not dead yet.

Ihop is a great place for the real American style breakfast. It’s a busy place especially before 1pm and the service is fast which leaves little room for personal attention. There’s a wide variety to choose from and meal offers from time to time. The food is well presented and tastes good. Prices are fair and value for money depending on what you order. Locating the restaurant was easy and parking was not an issue. Overall was not a bad experience and will visit again.

This was our first visit to an IHOP together- we walked a fair way to get to it, and it was well worth it! I had a cooked breakfast with pancakes on the side; my wife had a stack of 5 pancakes. One thing to watch out is the portion sizes - they are HUGE! But extremely tasty. The service isn't great- but then we weren't really expecting to be waited on hand and foot. Already planning to visit IHOP Naples next week!

Half my meal appeared about five minutes after my first half, but once it got at the table, it was really good. I'd skip the washroom, they were pretty gross, but that's a bit out of their control considering there was a lineup. I told a staff member and she rushed in to fix that. Nonetheless, the raspberry white chocolate chip pancakes were to die for!!

I visited IHOP on free pancake day (March 7th) to get a free shirt stack of pancakes. The pancakes were a good size and were satisfying. They could have been cooked a little longer. There was a long wait because of the free pancakes, but normally there is no wait. The menu is big with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.

If you're a tourist visiting I'd definitely recommend a visit. Giant pancake stack with bacon, egg and sausage and syrups galore for a very reasonable price. Good service and food was brought quickly.

I have been to the states 4 times now, 3 of those being to NYC but I had never ever visited an Ihop!!! This place was recommended by a friend that also shares the love for NYC, so after looking up the closest one to us, we decided to pay a visit for breakfast! I'm a huge foodie and love pancakes, so I went in with high expectations and I was not disappointed at all! I opted for the Mexican Pancakes, which were buttermilk pancakes with dulce de leche sauce and banana - they were amazing and so filling for such a cheap price! I love that there was a variety of syrups on the table ready for us to use as we required. The only downside was the wait we had to receive our food - although, the place was getting busy as we entered so it did not affect our experience and the staff were very pleasant. I'd highly recommend this place for all pancake lovers! It's a must on all my visits now!

Overall I enjoyed the food, that did not disappoint. Lots of fun mix and matching. But the wait times were too long. Not being seated until our whole party was there, yet the place was empty just doesn't make sense. And once we were seated there seemed to be too much going on. Our waitress memorized our order without writing it down - yeah she got it right! So, yeah, was the wait long? yes. Would I go back? Well, I didn't buy two groupons for nothing.

I've been in many IHOPs in my life. This one, by far the worse. I got there and got to the waiting list, it was really packed. All of a sudden, people that arrived after me were getting seated. When I asked the personnel, they didn't even care. I had to stand up and ask the manager to be sited. After that, service was not bad, but the food was terrible. Seriously, I mean the worst scrambled egg and French toast of my life. Would never go back!

Does what it says on the tin... if you're looking for pancakes, this place is a safe bet. Few points for improvement, my other half asked for scrambled eggs but received sunny side up. He's too nice to send anything back and ate them but the restaurant wasn't particularly busy and our order wasn't written down, and was taken verbally. Probably best in future to write things down to avoid simple errors, even if confident of what you're doing. The utensils were stained (not sure if these are water stains from dishwater or what) and having previous experience in hospitality, these should be polished after cleaning and before wrapping in napkins to avoid any complaints of this nature. Our trip was pleasant enough but just a few issues brought the overall rating down a bit.

SHAME SHAME SHAME that I came to expect top/ good service. Upon entering the shop, We noticed once worker on her belly behind the glass partition texting or sleeping. There was no body at the front desk - The bus boys noticed us and informed the Management after 1 min or so. We were seated and welcomed by Oliver who was very cheerful and pleasant to with around. She got our order perfect. While we were eating, Tim and I Noticed the same girl who was "sleeping" and walking about. When it came to paying our bill, This worker was caught sleeping around behind the glass partition. Manager or Owner should have a proper place for Slackers. The pictures of this Co-worker are posted on Facebook "Sam Cch"

I was out on 14th and second getting drinks. On my way home I was craving chocolate chip pancakes - I came in and got them to go. Service was fast and friendly. Got home and ate my pancakes - I love that they included butter, extra chocolate chips and whipped cream. This made for an incredible late night meal.

Did I trek across Manhattan just to go here?? .... yes!!!! And I’m glad I did. On our trip we wanted proper American pancakes and this place didn’t disappoint!!!

Visited here because daughter ways wanted to go to an ihop having heard so much from friends. Service itself was quite slow sepecially given it wasn't busy. It probably took about 20 mins for food to come. U fortunately when it did come the order wasn't right so 2 dishes had to go back. However the manager was quick to notice this and subsequently took approx half off our bill due to same. This was very mich appreciated and made amends to what went wrong. The food itself was lovely. Burgers were nice, philly steak sandwich was nice. Daughter said pancakes were amazing. Would go again if ever back in USA

If you eat breakfast here you probably wont eat anything else for a day. Food is great and portions are huge. Just anything we ordered was goooood.

I really enjoyed the only other iHop I went to (in Las Vegas), but this one didn't really live up to it. The food was pretty good - but didn't seem 'as good' as the last time I went. And the service was extremely mediocre - it seems like a good deal to get refillable drinks, but when you can only get a single refill because none of the waiting staff can be bothered to serve you, it ends up not being such good value after all.

Open 24/7, this is one of the very few Ihop restaurants in NYC. We ate there one night and the pancakes (both sugary and salty) were absolutely delicious, and so was the cheeseburger! The waiters were a bit disagreeable, but nothing too bad really.

WORST PLACE EVER! I should just sue them! I got FOOD POISONING and throw up all night! It never happened this to me before. It wasn't enough the fact that I waited a lot for the food, when they bring it, the food was cold. The pancakes desert, had a small piece of meat inside! I hope it was chicken and not a rat or something. I have 3 days and I'm still sick. Luckily for them, I have to return to Europe and I don't have time to put into this. Believe me, don't go there if you want to be safe! Stay away from this place!

On our recent trip to NYC my children were keen to go and visit an IHOP having gone to them for breakfast when we went to Florida last year. This IHOP was friendly and offered quick service. Can recommend.

We went for a late night visit after a show. The server Shaunte was so friendly and welcoming. The staff brought a dessert and sang the birthday song to my daughter which was lovely. The food was amazing and the portions were massive. We had a great time.

We found this restaurant on our last day in New York. It was a rainy morning and my daughter wanted to do one more thing: pancakes. Well, this is an excellent place. Free coffee and tea. Giant pile of pancakes. The last wish forfilled. Excellent service by the way.

It was my first experience at IHOP & refreshingly a very pleasant one. My sister suggested me to have my breakfast from here & i am glad i experienced it & concluded my US trip with a spinach & mushroom omelette & a stacked strawberry banana pancake. The quantity as in many other american restaurants was filling & enjoyed every bit of it. Ambiance was ok but the food & taste makes up for all the minor shortcomings & i am grateful to the gentleman working at IHOP for guiding me to the subway station. Don't miss IHOP, you'll love it! :)

Visited here late December 2015. The service and food were both great, we were seated immediately and the waitress was very attentive :) No complaints here :)

Best pancakes ever! Red velvet pancakes is a must... They are amazing, also would recommend the chocolate and banana crepes! To be fair everything I've ate here is decent..

It's iHop. You should know what you're getting. Very good breakfast, sometimes excellent, and plenty of food at good a good price, except the omelets—they're overpriced, at least compared to the rest of the menu. And the specials are generally excellent, e.g., anything with fruit and sauce. Hard to be bad with all the sugar.

Last day in NYC, so we had to come along here, but wished we had not. Been to lots of iHops but this one sucks! The waiter is next to useless, ignorant and rude. Food came out luke warm and by the time we ate it, it was stone cold as we had to wait 10 minutes for him to get us some syrup and the jars were all empty on the table.

Went to IHOP with my kids for breakfast . Waffles weren't fully cooked - eggs were runny and hashbrowns were cold inside . Staff was ok just nothing to even mention . Won't be back . Shouldnt be hard to Get breakfast right

Visited with 5 friends during our holiday in NYC. Super friendly staff (shout-out to Steven who served us), and nice pancakes. :-)

Wonderful Christmas atmosphere, with deco everywhere. Food Wonderful, as we're staff and location. Had blackberry pancakes with loads of syrup and cream.

Do not recommend going here on a weekend or busy period as they simply cannot cope. We arrived mid-morning, tables empty everywhere not very many people eating in but there was a queue to be seated. Guy on reception took my name and told me 15 minutes. 45 minutes went by still no table, everyone in front of us still not seated also, yet they were still taking names and telling people 15-20 minute wait. Staff then come from the back to say we will be seated in 10 minutes; 10 minutes went by still not seated. They apparently had limited staff for a busy period and couldn’t cope with all the online orders coming in so couldn’t seat and feed people waiting. They should have temporarily suspended the online orders and focus on seating the waiters first. No real apologise, we ended up leaving so god knows how long people were waiting for.

If you are in a hurry and looking for a fast breakfast with extra large plates and a reasonable bill, this can be an alternative. It is not unique, surely not authentic but I liked the pan cakes. If out of alternatives, try.

Frindely reception, but very perfunctory non-smiling service. Not the cleanest place - a thick layer of dust on corncies by the table, loos were unpleasant. Food was just OK, no more.

Fantastic breakfast and super iced coffee. Friendly staff to which is always a bonus. 10 out of 10 from the Brits. Would recommend to anyone.

The manager and staff was the best I have had in a long time. I highly recommend. Clean and courteous

I like Ihop for the broad menu they have... so many options!. The food was very good, but the coffee could improve, it was kinda watery. The waitress was nice but was very rushed. It took a while finding her to bring us the check and pay.

We thought we would try some Grinch pancakes for Christmas breakfast and we enjoyed them very much. We didn’t have to wait for a table and were quickly served with our food. One of my Daughters had the Belgium chocolate pancakes which looked good but not sure why they were so much more expensive than ours. There were free refills on the drinks which was good and the pancake stacks were enormous. Great breakfast to start off our Christmas Day.

I have visited IHOP before in the past - the last time probably around 3/4 years ago and I had fond memories. This was fortunately backed up with my recent visit - reasonably priced and delicious food.

Visually unattractive. Dated interior. Staff are friendly. Food is OK, but expensive for what you get. In summary, the place needs to be dragged into the 21st century.

My nieces wanted to try this place. I am not so keen on chain places and this place confirmed it. The food was warm and ok but that is it. It was the most expensive breakfast I had in NYC and not worth the money. The coffee was hot but the jug they gave you lost heat really quickly. Stick to independent places as the food is so much better. Pancakes ok but avoid French toast.

Cheap and cheerful breakfast. Exactly what was expected from a chain restaurant food was good, and service was great. Would return if was ever back in USA

I owe this IHOP a lot. When I left my messenger bag with my laptop they held onto it, and all my stuff was untouched. The food is awesome! I've had plenty of stuff on the menu, but last time I had eggs with avocado and salsa, and my friend had original pancakes. The wait was long for food and check, but the place was packed so it's expected. Just expect to have a nice long meal. You will not be kicked out if you stay 2 hours.

I trekked through NYC just for an IHOP and it was just as expected. The only bad point for this restaurant is it's location and some cleanliness issues. The staff and food was great.

I'd never been to an IHOP so a group of friends and I all went to do the all-you-can-eat pancakes challenge. For something that calls itself a 'house of pancakes' they should work on making pancakes that taste good! They were horrible. Like hot circles of salty yet tastless sponge. And the 'syrup' didn't help make anything better. That was just sugar water with some added chemicals for whichever flavor they claimed to be. Rarely I am defeated by an all-you-can-eat but I guess their plan is to make the food so disgusting that you don't want to eat anymore as was the case with me. Never again.

Food is good with huge portions Pancakes lovely and light and fluffy yet somehow a bit dry unless smothered in sweet sticky sauce I could barely move when I left Service well meaning but a bit slow

The service was beyond excellent! The coffee was great. I was brought exactly what I wanted very quickly. The crepes came and what a letdown! Yuck! Undercooked and had absolutely no taste. It came with Lingonberries (a spread and with real berries), which was also uninspired. I probably should've stuck to just pancakes, but no, I decided to be adventurous and order crepes. I don't have one single other complaint. The place was packed BTW, probably revelers from all nighters, since I arrived ca. 9:00 a.m. last Saturday morning. Despite this, I got immediately seated and served. One just wouldn't expect that in the East Village, but there it was. The main surprise is that it cost nearly $16.00 which is not cheap for two crepes and coffee. I probably will go back in the future and order just the pancakes and play it safe.

This was my first trip to the States and I knew I wanted to visit an IHOP. I wasn’t disappointed. I had the double blueberry pancakes and my boyfriend had the chocolate pancakes with his combo meal and we were both impressed. The portions are huge and kept me full for the rest of the day and the coffee is bottomless which was great.

I loved IHOP Union Square. Waiting times were quick and staff were mostly helpful and pleasant. I went 2 times in a week and had no problems and found it to be great value for money. I had the Bananas Foster Brioche French Toast on both occasions and is to die for. If you haven't been yet, I would highly recommend it.

We came here one day for breakfast because my son was desperate to say he'd eaten at an IHOP in NYC. The place was basic, but the waiting staff were efficient and friendly. I ordered four pancakes with blueberries and they were delicious. My son had hash browns with his breakfast and let me have a taste - they were amazing. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed

Not good waitresses, look like at a fool, not cheap, not tasty. We don't come back again. Horrible hamburger, not organic!

Went here for breakfast as it was on my way somewhere, my mistake. The setting, is dark with harsh lighting, atmosphere is not good. Food was expensive for what it was - basic. Would very much recommend going elsewhere, an independent cafe, for a good dining experience at only a fraction more expensive. However, the staff were friendly (although our waiter did seem a little desperate for us to complete a survey, which was time consuming and awkward as we were just desperate to get out of there, for doing so we got a money off voucher which we will not be using), the pancakes and coffee were fine.

My visit to ihop was my 1st & i struggled to pick what to have, probably took me longer to choise than eat!!!! There is something for everyone. I know I left full & worked it off during the day with all the walking we did.
Very good food and service
The food took a bit of time to arrive but it was very good so it didn't really matter .The pancakes were soft and fluffy which made them idillic. Although the portions are slightly to big, it was quite worth it. My entire family was very satisfied with their breakfast. The waiters were nice and very patient. I would definitely recommend this chain of restaurants to my close friends and family.
