Fantastic Pizza

By deemc99 |

Pizza was delicious! We ordered as takeout and was ready quickly. Wasn't crazy about the broccoli dish. Would definitely recommend for the pizza though.

Freedom Tower View!

By HPCBarnabas |

My wife and I just finished our morning tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and were hungry for great Italian with a relaxed sit down environment. This place fit the bill as it was less than a quarter mile walk from Battery Park where we departed the statue ferry. The construction and repairs after Sandy makes it a little bit more of a crowded walk but not too difficult. The food was freshly prepared as I had grilled chicken served on top of eggplant with a medley of fresh spring lettuce nicely dressed on top! My wife opted for the lasagna that was prepared in a single serving dish and baked! No cutting out of a large pan! A nice and pleasant surprise! We ate outside under large patio umbrellas and had a great view of the Freedom Tower!

Solid dinner spot!

By bimmerny |

We have gone for dinner, dessert, drinks and even ordered from home. Never been disappointed, quality food and great service every time! Also very reasonably priced especially considering the area.

Somewhat Disappointing

By deedeetee |

I went here alone for lunch. The location is pretty good--next to the Ritz Carlton Battery Park, so it was convenient. It's an attractive but small restaurant and the inside has a modern, hip vibe to it. It was still fairly busy at late lunchtime, so I thought the food would be good. The menu is pretty limited and expensive--or maybe I'm not used to outrageous New York prices. I could not eat a whole pizza (which seems to be their specialty) and the pizza was expensive, so I ordered the cheese ravioli. A full portion is 6 raviolis, and a half portion is only 3. (I wish they had smaller portions for pizza other than a full size pizza). The ravioli wasn't anything special, including the sauce. I had to put a lot of parmesan cheese on it to make it tasty, and it was served lukewarm. The staff is friendly although not attentive enough. I would have asked them to heat up my ravioli if someone had come over to check on me. All in all, I left disappointed.

Great service!

By Kimberly H |

Our waitress was a gem! Very pleasant, providing us with great food and drink recommendations and then giving us a bit of an italian lesson along the way. Food was great, no room for dessert. Homemade ravioli and gnocchi were the favorites at the table! The fried ravioli appetizer was very yummy too!

Just amazing!

By kgia4183 |

The atmosphere, service and food were spectacular! I will definitely come back here! We enjoyed the eggplant and buffalo cheese dish along with the spinach ravioli and Margharita pizza- we could not fault any of it. The waitstaff were most accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We are staying in the financial district in New York City and decided to search on trip advisor for somewhere nearby. We stumbled across Inatresso Pizzabar and couldn't have been more pleased. We did however have difficulty finding the restaurant as it was on the other side of where the map indicated so be careful when searching for it. There is also a cafe in its name as well just on the other corner of the block so make sure to go to the Pizzabar instead. All in all- Simply Divine! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Easy lunch

By Kathleen P |

A friend lives in Battery Park City and suggested we meet at this restaurant for lunch. What a nice place to eat. It's a small restaurant, but the pizza, salad and soup are really delicious. We had a relaxing lunch of tuscan bean & vegetable soup - which was hearty and tasty; Three Color salad - escarole, radicchio, endive, citrus, mountain gorgonzola, toasted pistachio - the mountain gorgonzola was a little too stinky for my taste, but the salad was fresh and delicious; and a white pizza - mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan, fresh garlic, basil, olive oil - the crust was very delicious and I'm a NY-er about my pizza. I really enjoyed this place - the staff was very friendly but not intrusive. I would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic bread!

By vimanora |

Pizzas are very good but what my family and me remember the most is the bread given as starters. The garlic sauce is excelllent and the bread is also very good. I'm french so I can say I know what is a good bread ;-). The waiter was nice, price are good. The restaurant is close to Liberty Island boats so I think it is good to go there after the visit. For a french family, we tok 2 medium pizzas and that was enough

Great stop after touring Lady Liberty

By IslandDreamsinME |

We needed a family dining spot close to Battery Park after touring the Statue of Liberty. This restaurant turned out to be the perfect spot! Probably a little "fancier" than your average family restaurant, but with our middle and high school aged children, it was just what we wanted. We enjoyed fantastic and unusual salads as appetizers, followed by an excellent thin-crust pizza loaded with fresh veggies. Great cocktails for the grownups, too! The staff was extremely efficient and right on top of our service - of course, the restaurant was practically empty at the time, so this may or may not be the case when they are crowded. I would definitely recommended Inatteso Pizzabar if you're looking for a nice meal near the Statue.

Great Pizza, convenient location

By Alyssa B |

We stopped here for a late afternoon lunch after arriving in the city. My husband and I split a salad and also got a pizza. The pizzas were large and we had leftovers that we ate for two days. The crust and sauce are fantastic and everything tasted super fresh.

ALWAYS A MUST!

By J Page |

I would stop in just to see the brilliant and beautiful (front of house manager...for all I know General Manager) Irene, although that's not the reason my family and I always do while in the Big Apple. No, we come here for the ambiance, the service - always professional no matter how busy it is - and, yes, above all the food. Always delicious, always satisfying, always reasonably priced. What more could you possibly ask for in any restaurant??? Nothing. Other than the gorgeous and immensely capable Irene.

A good place to eat around Battery Park

By yamana |

This is one of the better restaurants near Battery Park and the Trade Centre Memorial - a warm, friendly atmosphere and good food. The pasta was fresh with well-seasoned sauces and the pizzas were large and well loaded. Service was good.

Tasty food but pricey

By Victor A |

Went her for lunch with friends. The decor was pleasant with clean bathrooms. Bufalino Pizza and Tortelloni di Formaggio were very good as was the service. They were out of two specials and the drinks (glass of red wine for $14 and up, and scotch for $12 and up) were a bit pricey. Didn't have iced tea.

Not Too Bad

By Max D |

I finally paid a visit here even though I pass by it often. This was on one of the coldest winters of the year and I’m happy to say, it was quite warm here despite sitting at the bar area which is close to the door. Previously, I only ordered take out from here and while their pizza is great, their appetizers and entrees not so much. I decided to give it another try and confirmed, just order their pizza. Their pizza is quite amazing and very close to Grimaldi’s or Lombardi’s quality though not quite there. Service is ok considering it’s a small bar. The bar seat next to the window is best since it’s rare to sit at the bar and window at the same tent and here you can but that seat is often taken. Love the Moretti beer since Peroni is usually the norm at your favorite Italian restaurant.

Beautiful pizza

By Phil_King71 |

Popped in whilst walking between 9/11 Memorial and Battery Park. Pizza’s are quite traditional and all come as thin slices. They were absolutely scrumptious being too big for 3 of the 4 of my party eat! Service was excellent. Polite, rapid and very attentive but not intrusive. I suppose seeing there weren’t too many other customers may have helped. Would highly recommend particularly if you’re in the area.

A really good Italian restaurant

By Barbara del Monferrato |

It may look like your average neighborhood pizza joint, but Inatteso is anything but! I have had lunch there several time, and the food has always been delicious and well presented on the plate. It's classical Italian food executed by a pro. None of that baked ziti or chicken parm Italian-American nonsense there, just solid and real Italian food. The chef, who is American and trained in Italy, offers a rotating menu of specials every week.

Very good Pizza

By ER_Travel2 |

Stayed at a hotel nearby. We went there a few times. Every item we ordered was tasty and perfectly prepared. The service was always great but in particular, Luis was fantastic and very attentive. The best food we had there was the Arugula Salad, followed by the Inatesso Pizza and the the Branzino Contadina. The best dessert was the Pizzelle gelato.

Close to the Ritz Carlton Battery Park

By ayang90 |

Nice option if you was something close to the hotel and is family friendly. Their sister cafe next door is also awesome for coffee and pastries.

Underwhelmed.....

By misslarue65 |

this restaurant came highly recommended so I had my hopes set high. I think it was overrated. The staff was nice but not very helpful when it came time to locate a taxi.

Another great meal

By Solitude1 |

Just enjoyed another great meal. Their special fave bean salad and pasta special was delicious. I enjoy coming here for a quiet dinner with no fuss. The pasta is fresh and the best.

Great Italian Food Steps from the Ritz

By bfstacy |

We had a variety of dishes here from Pizza to salad to pasta and all were fantastic. Fresh herb flavors and great presentation of dishes was a evident. Prices very reasonable.

Great option for takeout at the Ritz

By pocmonster |

We stayed at the Ritz next door, and got takeout for lunch with a few friends. We got 2 pizzas, one with sausage and the other with eggs and prosciutto. Both were more delicious than we expected, so we were happy this was right next door.

Great pizzas and supernice little restaurant

By Marion LG |

After a long day between the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, we found the Inatteso very near the pier and close to the World Trade Center. The waitress was so nice from the beginning, their pizzas are divine and sincerely not that expensive (at all) for the quality and location. If you wish to complete that great moment of relaxation, order a pint of draft beer :-)

Best red sauce ever!

By Josh A |

We were going to have a salad and eat one slice, but we almost killed the whole pizza. Delicious! We had the Barese pizza. Best sauce I've ever tasted on a pizza; nice little spicy kick. The crust and cheese were excellent. Really good and satisfying but not overly heavy and not greasy. We also had the arugula salad (good) and the burrata salad (amazing!). Oh and the little zucchini/bean/olive oil dip the bring with bread is super yummy.

Excellent. A fun place to be.

By DayTrip785638 |

We were here in November by accident. The place is very friendly and the pizzas are delicious and large for one person. I am sure we will return next time we stay at Wagner.

Consistently Good!

By manhattanfoodie10019 |

We are locals and dine here often. Prices are a little high, but the food is quite good. Pizza / pasta are always good, the specials are usually fantastic. Dessert is also delicious. Happy to have Inatesso as a reliable spot in Battery Park City!

Great space, great food

By PhiladelphiaPhillip |

Staying at the Ritz Carlton battery park on a rainy night and asked for a nearby neighborhood place for dinner. Wow, we weren't disappointed with this cozy, friendly place with delish food and the aroma of fresh baked pizza all around. Great server and really fantastic dishes. Shared the baked eggplant which was just perfect, and then had the veal Milanese which was served with an incredible sauce almost like tartar sauce, with wonderful marinated tomatoes and arugula salad and rosemary potatoes. My friend had the Bronzino over spinach and white beans and caramelized onions and since I sneaked a taste I can attest that it was out of this world. The gelato and sorbet were perfect punctuation to a way better than expected meal, and the wine the server suggested [so new not yet on the menu] went perfectly with it all. Try this place, and ask for Tommy if you get a chance.

Very Good Restaurant - Attractive design and decor

By Frequentraveler987 |

Very good food, and excellent service. Nice decor. We had both pasta (very good) and pizza (excellent) for dinner. Reasonable prices for the location in Battery Park. We would visit again.

Killer food and service!

By Michelle A |

I decided to give Inatteso a try since it was down the street from my hotel. Boy, am I glad that I did. My server started me off with warm, fresh rolls and an amazing eggplant dip. I order a glass of Malbec, and a Margarita pizza. I am glad that I did. The pizza was amazing! The sauce was delicious and the thin crust is as good as any thin crust pizza that I have had to date in NYC. The service was great, my waitress was on top of things, she kept an eye on my table but didn't hover which drives me nuts. I would highly recommend Inatteso. Especially if you are staying at the Ritz Battery Park. A great change of pace from hotel food. They have tables outdoors for those who like to bring their dogs along. I will be back!

excellent NYC thin crust pizza

By tikvah48 |

I am a fan of New York style tin crust pizza. In this area near the Museum of Jewish Heritage there are fewer restaurants to choose from than uptown. We stopped in here for a quick dinner before a show. The margarita pizza was excellent, made the way way that I like. The service was average and the waitstaff friendly, There even was pizza to take with us. I would keep this place on my NYC list whenever I am in the Battery Park area.

Italian Bistro in Battery Park

By Lisa_NJ_NY |

Great for pastas and pizza, I have had many good lunches here, it's better to stick with the simple dishes, they do exceptionally well with those. Their 'breadbasket' features these warm pizza dough balls that are worth the extra carbs, don't skip those!

Casual Italian in Battery Park.

By chris k |

Reasonable prices, good menu, and wine list. Pizza won't disappoint. No reservations needed, went on a Monday. Staff friendly.

Neighborhood Gem

By islandgirl524 |

I discovered this Italian restaurant while living in Battery Park City. Inatteso is a casual Italian restaurant offering delicious pizzas, pastas and nightly specials. There's also a good wine list with interesting selections by the glass. In addition to being a great neighborhood find, it is also handy for NYC visitors who are staying at the nearby Ritz Carlton.

Cool trendy little pizza bar.

By mp827az |

Good pizza and wine selection. Nice patio seating area. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The Polpette appetizer was fantastic. I would have given it 5 star but they are very dog friendly in the outside seating area.

Highly recommend

By JH |

We went here for pizza and couldn't be happier. The food was great, the location perfect for us, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. A special nod to our waitress Petra, thank you!

Overrated

By Tamas |

Food is definitely not in line with the appearance, and neither with the tripadvisor rating. We ordered a pizza with prosciutto and ruccola, and what we got was a burnt, dry one with a weird-tasting tomato souce on it. The prosciutto they could not ruin, but the even managed to do that with the ruccola, which contained some other plant as well (as we identified probably tomato leaves). The staff was friendly though.

Really great pizza

By jarf |

Decided to try this place as I was staying nearby and it had good reviews. This turned out to be a great decision as the pizza was delicious. I had the Bufalina pizza - basically a thin, crispy crust with very fresh tomato sauce, and then topped (after cooking) with nice buffalo mozzerella, arugula and balsamic vinegrette. The waitress recommended it and it was really a great, refreshing pizza. Highly recommended.

Wow!

By Lily |

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise. After few days in NYC that was my favorite restaurant that I tried. We received bread with wonderful dip. I ordered spinach ravioli which was so good! I tried also the pizza which was super fresh and excellent. In our group they loved the pasta with the eggplant, the salad and the soup. The restaurant was pleasant and the service was excellent. I highly recommend trying it and if I would have lived closer it would have been definitely a place that I'll continue coming regularly.

Nice Upscale Pizzabar

By Stephanie C |

I enjoyed the Margarita Pizza and my husband had the rigatoni both were fabulous prices were normal for the city which may seem high if you are traveling from outside the city. This is a hip upscale restaurant that is both comfortable and convenient to the Ritz Carlton which is right next-door.

Ehhhhh not a go to spot

By Nicky D |

Went for a casual night out, food is good but not mind blowing. Drinks seemed short, meaning not much alcohol in a mixed drink. One of the servers was super nice and very hospitable. The bartender however could have cared less that we were there, eventually left the bar to dine at a table. Should have just left at that point but we were starving. The butter/sage raviolis were delicious. Seems like they cater to more tourists instead of locals who live in the neighborhood

Good pizza, poor service

By JeepNYC |

The food in Inatteso is always pretty good -- there's not a huge choice of pizza bars in the area, and most of them are exceptionally poor -- so by default something that's consistently good makes it a top choice. I've had better elsewhere in the city, but it's not overly greasy, the toppings are reasonable, the cheese tastes like cheese, and the chefs know what they're doing. My main reservation is the service, which is... challenging. Whether attending in person or buying take out, you don't feel like they're trying to please you, merely get through the night. It can also be EXCEPTIONALLY slow on Friday or Saturday night. Some day, someone will open a really good pizza bar in the area and Inatteso is going to suffer hugely as a result unless it picks up its game. In the meantime... it's better than most of the competition downtown.

Perfect Stop at Battery Park

By Ellen E |

Walked right in at 2 pm, no waiting. Service was a little slow due to multiple tables seating at the same time. However our food came quickly once it was ordered. Our party of six enjoyed the Bianca & Margherita pizzas. Our bill came out to less than $40 that included tip.

Stop scrolling and eat here!

By Triciapedia |

What a find! Inatteso is an independently owned gem in Lower Manhattan that boasts NYC efficiency with perfect Italian cuisine and hospitality. And, there’s something for everyone. Authentic Italian pizza for families with kids and elegant dining for…anyone who wants elegant dining. On a perfect early Summer evening, I loved dining outside solo. Ordered way too much food, have plenty of leftovers. Well worth a visit.

Lovely restaurant, average food

By GC81 |

Went here for dinner on our first night in NYC after having it recommended by our hotel concierge. It's a lovely, modern style dining room with bar on the left and restaurant on the right. We choose 2 pasta dishes, I had ravioli which was reasonably good, my partner however was less than impressed with her pasta which comprised of Italian sausage and ricotta. The pasta was quite heavy and not particularly authentic in our opinion. Having gotten married in Italy maybe we're fussy. The pizza's however did look incredible, perhaps we chose poorly. Service was very good and the servers were extremely friendly.

Pasta too!

By cynjoyce |

Inatteso calls itself a pizza bar, but you should try the pasta when you are there. Tender, mouth melting bites …we had two dishes over the weekend and every mouthful was great. Try the tuna, bean and kale dish…just a hint of pepper to finish the taste. Yum. Oh, and by the way, the rocket and eggplant puree pizza was amazing.

Italy at the tip of Manhattan

By Deborah M |

Wonderful small restaurant with true Italian cuisine. Their eggplant is delicious and the pizza is thin and crisp. Reminds me of pizza I had in Italy.

An unexpected pleasure!

By elsbells63 |

We were walking around lower Manhattan and decided to stop somewhere for a bite so we went into the Ritz and one of the staff recommended this place for good Italian and it did not disappoint! Everyone had something different and raved about their choice....I especially enjoyed the eggplant al forno....excellent with a nice birra moretti. Prices were reasonable as well especially for NYC!

Amazing!

By PSSNYC23 |

Excellent pizza distinguishes this restaurant from all others in Manhattan, prices are reasonable and whether you are ordering out or eating in this place will have you coming back for more. Pizzas are as close to those I had in Italy having lived there a couple of decades I can discern from others that claim to be Italian. Ate on site a couple of times, staff friendly, good atmosphere but wouldn't bring small children. Basically across the street from Hudson River views makes this a great place to stop for a bite as you walk the Battery Park esplanade, on your way to or returning from the Statue of Liberty. Well done Inatteso! Keep in mind their caffe' a couple of doors down from this location that makes some of the best pastries and coffee in town.

Excellent pizza

By KrisL50323 |

Pizza is great here. We had prosciutto and fried eggs- like breakfast but on a pizza. It was delicious. Would definitely go back.

Lovely dinner, great atmosphere, helpful staff

By Lucy O |

I ate with my two children one evening after a long day sightseeing. Our waitress was so helpful, she advised that a pizza each would be too much for us all and we shared two and still had some left over. That is the kind of advice a parent appreciates in an expensive city. The atmosphere was really warm considering this is quite a modern place.

Saturday Brunch

By M_Therese15 |

My teenage son and I were visiting NYC, and had spent the morning touring the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Afterward, we stumbled on Inattesto, which is super close to Battery Park. We had a window seat and enjoyed watching people go by outside on the cold November day. I ordered the Margherita pizza and my son got stuffed French toast. His French toast was to die for. I also loved my pizza. It was huge, and provided leftovers that we were able to enjoy later. It's a gourmet, brick oven pizza, not NY style, if that's what you're seeking. As for service, it started out great, and very attentive. But as more patrons were seated, the service lapsed. We had to ask for water and eventually chase down the server to get our check. Overall, a good experience though.

Excellent Experience

By Matthew B |

Our little family was well looked after in this charming pizzeria during our early supper. Popular with nice ambiance, suitable for couples, friends and family groups.

Very good rustic pizza

By Yuma B |

We had to set up some equipment at the Wagner just a block away and were getting pretty hungry. We checked out the menu for 2 West in the Wagner and to be honest were not impressed. The prices also were off the chart for us since we come from a more rural area where a steak doesn't run you 50 bucks. Now, we don't mind paying for good food but dinner would have run well over 100 bucks for the 2 of us and all we wanted was a quick bite. So we went on google and saw Inatteso Pizzabar was just a block away. It was a good thing because it was bitterly cold out and the wind was howling. We were seated right away by a very friendly waitress and given menus. Since we just wanted something quick we decided on a thin crust pan pizza with meatballs on half. The pizza wasn't really large ( 1/4 sheet pan) which was perfect since we did not want a ton of leftovers to cart around. The crust was nice and crisp with a lot of flavor. The sauce was rich and smooth and not at all bitter and the cheese had a nice fresh taste and great texture. The meatballs were hand cut in nice thick slices, unlike thin shavings like many pizza places, and had a unique flavor. They were delicious. there was almost a hint of sausage in them leading me to believe they were a beef/pork mix. I can see why getting meatballs added were an extra few bucks. There was nothing skimpy about the toppings. The pizza almost reminded me of a little bar where we live except it was taken to the next level and made really well. The pizza and a beer ran 40 bucks and was well worth every penny of it. If your in the area you need to stop in.

I love just walking by interesting looking places !

By Brian L |

We had just started our way back to the train from Battery Park ,when the candle lit room was calling out to us ! So we ventured in and immediately felt warm and cozy ! We split a very nice sized salad and the three meatball dish. Each had a glass of Red wine . For our main course we were suggested to ty the lasagna . My date loved it Loved it ! I thought it was good . We did not have room for dessert and we paid our bill to a very friendly wait staff and were on our way !

Great Food Near Battery Park

By nohitgolf |

This very clean Battery Park restaurant, INATTESO, is a fine Italian restaurant that features meat balls to pizza. The menu varies from small items to full meals. The prices are semi high but not too high considering this is Manhattan. If you are visiting Battery Park for either the Statue of Liberty or the nearby World Trade Center Museum then try this location for lunch. Service is fast and the food was delicious. There is also an indoor parking garage one block north if you plan to drive to the area. While in the area try The Skyscraper Museum at 39 Battery Place. It's new, clean and very interesting.

Great pizza

By lmdallas |

If you are looking for somewhere for lunch or dinner near Battery Park, this is a good choice. Not cheap, but excellent atmosphere and great pizza.

Local recommendation; glad we listened

By KayCee |

In a word--yummy! Just delicious. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, nice sized helpings. Very, very good.

Salty bacon salad...decent pizza.

By Waisaipapa |

Stopped in for a bite, after hearing good reviews from the hotel staff. Pizza was okay, but my wife's salad was horrible. Big chunks of bacon that made the salad so salty, she couldn't finish it. When we told the waiter, all he said was, "Sorry." Wasn't impressed.

Nice spot for Lunch after Visiting the Statue of Liberty

By Robin V |

This was a trendy spot to eat lunch after our morning visit to the Statue of Liberty. It didn't seem like there were many tourists here. We noticed several business types having lunch. The food was decent but not exceptional. We asked if the pizzas were big enough to share and were told that we should each buy one. In the end we had a whole pizza left over. We could have easily ordered only one. I did have a glass of wine with my pizza and it was very good. In the end we enjoyed our meal and was happy we stopped here.

Average Pizza... Great Pasta!!!

By JRMADA |

I had dinner here with my daughters and it was a good experience! I would definately order anything but pizza. My pizza was burned, so the dough was bitter. We had pasta bolognese and it was to die for!! Tha sauce was amazing!!! We sat outside in July and the mosquitoes had a feast, so I would not do that again. The service was great. The staff was helpful and courteous and the ambiance was sofisticated. I would recommend this to anyone with the exception of seating outside and the pizza.

REALLY REALLY GREAT PIZZA !!

By RickPF185 |

Quaint little place in a quieter area of New York near Battery Park. Great service and superb pizza - my wife said it was the best pizza she’d ever eaten, and she knows believe me! Good for families, couples or groups. Lovely.

Excellent!

By Ducati50 |

We came here last night, our first meal in New York. We arrived at 6.30, just before the rush. The room was attractively lit, our neighbours charming, and very good service. We had the bean and vegetable soup (delicious!) and pasta and boar ragu (even better), washed down with a white from North Italy (which I thought a little pricey at $52. Nice Italian coffee to finish, in a buzzy atmosphere. I think we'll return tonight! Ps: There is a lovely oil/garlic/ chilly/ dipping sauce with bread while you ponder the menu.

Rude hostess

By pearlgirl1 |

Relaxing after a quick dinner and was rudely asked to leave by the hostess because people were waiting. Never will go back

Classy and Select Little Bistro

By Joanne H |

This restaurant was literally steps away from The Ritz Carlton Hotel where we stayed in Battery Park. Don't be put off by the fact it looks quite select and fancy, sometimes when with children you can walk by and think there won't be food they will like but we loved the food plus was a mix of people, couples, families wearing smart attire to shorts! Quite a small dark restaurant but food, pasta and pizza was great. Hubby loved his pizza and I had the tagliatelle bolognaise, reasonably priced.

Amazeballs

By Lesia |

Found this great little place by accident. The food was fantastic. So much so we made the trip back down to eat again later in the week. Natasha was an amazing host and looked after us so well. Toats recommend.

Good food, speedy service

By SeasideFan57 |

Right next door to the Ritz Carlton, Inatteso was recommended by the concierge and it makes a nice change from eating in the hotel. It's quite dark, but as the tables are quite closely packed together, this actually gives you a little more privacy. The wine list is extensive but exclusively Italian. The home made ravioli in sage and butter was perfectly done - a small plate is about five or six pieces, costs $16 and was plenty for me, even though I didn't have a starter. My OH had the lasagne which was really meaty and had that lovely slow cooked quality to it. Service is super quick. Worth a visit.

Fine Pizza But Service Eh

By Max D |

First off, pizza is easily 5 stars and I'm really picky about pizza since I grew up in Brooklyn which is where pizza was really invented. The style is more brick-oven, Patsy-styled pizza. It is not as good as Patsy's or Grimaldi's but definitely the best pizza in Battery Park and Financial District area and minus the long lines! I love the cheese in these pizzas because it tastes like real cheese! I've tried all the pizzerias in the area and they are very bad. Definitely, avoid Steve's Pizza as I got sick from eating there. Skinny Pizza in Hudson Eats cafeteria is average and its personal-sized pizzas awful with over-burnt crust. There is a good regular slice pizza near Century 21 dept store but it's only open during lunch hours, a real bummer. I would avoid Harry's Italian as it is bad and pricey. So the service could improve because I order on phone a few times and it feels like I was speaking in another language or they don't understand English and I had to repeat several times. One time I was coming in for pick-up and the waitress was going to run through me so I had to let her out first before I can come in. These are a bit minor, IMO, but what I thought was unacceptable was when I wanted to dine-in and this was going to be my first time dining in the restaurant since all the other times have been take-out, and the hostess was like we're closing in 15 minutes. Now I'm not new to dining in NYC or anywhere for that matter. I don't believe I have ever been told in my entire existence that we're closing in 15 minutes. There are some places where the kitchen closes earlier but their bar would still be open for drinks and if I'm there 5 minutes before kitchen closes, I can always get a meal...unless you're eating here. Personally, I can say that I can devour an entire pizza in 15 minutes so it kind of makes you wonder that if you come in 30 minutes before closing if they would still serve you. Again, their kitchen was still open and the hostess even suggest take-out so it's a bit odd they turn you away when the kitchen is still open.

Great place

By Ian C |

My wife and I honeymooned in New York and this was just round the corner from our hotel. Unfortunately, we only found on our last day as we wanted somewhere convenient to the hotel before heading back to the airport. Really good food. I had pizza, my wife had pasta. Delicious gelato to follow and very good espresso. Staff were absolutely wonderful and the service was the best we had all week. We will make a beeline for it next time we are in New York

The corner of food and heaven

By Vince M |

Was searching for a place to really have a romantic dinner while still enjoying the ambiance of NY. My cousin recommended Inatteso. She spoke highly of the flatbread pizza, however I decided to go with the veal and my wife the half chicken.. both were great. The service was if i could give them a 10 out of 5 i would. Everyone on the staff was great and gave us not only great food but awesome service.

Pizza with a view

By Rich_C313 |

My wife and I stopped for lunch after visiting a local museum. We wanted something quick but good. We stopped at Inatteso Pizzabar and were not disappointed. Our sidewalk table gave us great views of the water on one side and the World Trade Center tower on the other. Service was courteous and prompt. Our pizza came out hot and delicious. It was just what we were looking for.

Solid Italian staple in Battery Park

By Olivia O |

This is a popular restaurant with those who live in Battery Park or lower Tribeca. Good take out pizza and pasta, and also a nice atmosphere to eat in. Good italian food with modern american plates as well

Great pizza and service

By Steveintaupo |

Was looking for a little pizza bar and found Inatteso Pizzabar. This place is a real gem. The pizza's and service are great. We had the Napoletana Funghi - a must and the pepperoni, mushrooms and green olives pizza della nonna all washed down with a nice cold beer from their superb local and imported beer menu. Two pizza's feed four guys. A great place and a pizza bar I'll be returning to when I'm next in New York.

Lively atmosphere, attentive service, great pizza

By Kevin G |

A great find - intimate local restaurant that with attentive staff and great authentic pizza. The appetisers were clearly freshly made from quality produce.

Amazing food - HORRIBLE service

By Kate H |

As a Chicagoan I know my pizza and this pizza was superb for NYC style. The waitress was the LEAST bit friendly. Quite frankly, rude as could be. Unfortunately, I will not ever step foot in there again because of her. Such a shame!

Great pizza

By TudorB |

Amazing pizza, great friendly staff and outside tables to enjoy the sunshine. We had pizza capricciosa and is the proper Italian pizza Napoli style 😍 Highly recommended 👍🏼

Relaxed and good value.

By lexxity |

We were a group of cruise enthusiasts meeting up from the UK, Connecticut, NY state and NJ. We were really well looked after and as two of our party were small jet lagged people it was great to be so well looked after. The food was really lovely, I had a lemony seafood pasta and it was so good! The pizza was good too, it was just a shame we were too tired to stay a long time. We'll definitely return when we are next in the city.

Great food - great service

By carpetbowler |

We went to this restaurant 3 nights running the food and service was that good. Not cheap but in relation to the other

Fantastic Food and Service!

By Mary Anne D |

The food is fantastic. Many different pizzas not seen elsewhere. We had the Tuscany for an appetizer and it was AMAZING. The entrees were delicious. Portions were large. This is a must go and try.

Great dinner!

By sue F |

Go here if you're in the area, it's a small Italian restaurant, outdoor seating in summer. Had dinner here one night and saw lots of locals coming in for takeout pizza, must be good! The lasagna bolanase was delicious! The staff were all really nice and helpful and attentive! I would go here again.

Good service, average food

By Fast Eddie |

Our server highly recommended the lasagna so I decided to give it a try... I wish I had of skipped it and tried something else. While the portion was very generous, the consistency and flavor were not so great. It was just a gooey mess with minimal marinara which would have given it more flavor.

Great food

By Tractorcrazy |

Loved the service, quick, hot food, well done. next door to the Ritz! Economical! Outdoor and indoor seating. Quiet atmosphere.

Very good service reasonable prices and great pizza.

By Gymdawgfan |

We were staying at the NYC Downtown Marriott and hungry for pizza and the positive Tripadvisor reviews sent us here which was a ten minute walk from the hotel. We arrived at 6PM and were immediatly seated in the bar area at a window table and menus delivered. Shortly afterwards the server stopped by the table and took our drink orders ( Moretti on draft) which were promptly delivered bottom line here is excellent service throughout the evening including a second round of beers and even the check. We order two apps the Mozz Di Buffala and the Antipasto both were huge and one would have been enough for both of us, meats were excellent on the Antipasto plate. We ordered a 16" Margherita Pizza and it was great, thin crusted and very tasty.

Good not great

By iliketotravel123 |

Five of us had dinner here. Pizza is good. But I didn't like the crispy/darkened crust. there is so much good pizza in NY. Sorry, but it's not my favorite. We also had eggplant (good), pan roasted Chicken (good), puttanesca (good). No rave reviews but we all liked our meals.

Always our go-to restaurant when visiting Battery Park

By patywagon |

We love everything about this place, and have been going for years. Whether there are 2 of us or 12 in our party, the service is hospitable, knowledgeable and prompt. Very fresh and delicious salads and pizzas- nice beer and wine offerings too. And they take reservations!

Good food

By ddallas1969 |

Looking for a place to eat my bf and I stopped here on a Friday night. The place was packed, but we found a spot at the bar. My bf ordered a small pizza. He said it was delicious and even had enough left over to take home. I ordered an avocado salad and it was amazing. The food it really good and I think the prices are fair for NYC. The atmosphere is never nice as well. I didn't give it 5 stars because I felt like the staff was a bit pretentious and made us feel as if we were bothering them. I would still go back just for the food!

Enchanting place

By 69WorldTraveler |

Delightful experience. Creative menu and delicious food. Outstanding service. Reasonable prices. Deli/brunch area, and a full restaurant. Great location, convenient to World Trade Center, the Ferry Building, and Wall St. There’s a lot to like.

Best white pizza!

By AngelaMB12 |

Get the Bianca pizza - its the best white pizza I've ever had. Staff was very friendly and accommodated our party of 17 with a smile. Rolls served with an olive oil/white bean dip started the delicious meal. The pizza crust was so good, crisp, yet chewy and thin. The atmosphere inside was very nice, though a bit dark. Outside seating looked inviting.

Lovely pizza

By CHandGT |

The pizza was excellent fresh and full of flavour. My wife ordered a green salad and that wasn't quite as we expected but it didn't matter as she liked my pizza. One of the waiters is a little heavy handed and bang cutlery, glasses etc onto the table The starter bread was a bit stale but who needs bread to start anyway.

Nothing special

By ScottandJanelle |

While the pizza may be good, we ate in the cafe for lunch and opted for soup, salad, and pasta; we weren't impressed. All was pretty basic with little to place it above standard Italian food. Service was okay but we had to ask for more water and had to wave down a server to get our check. Of all our meals in a week in NYC, this was the easiest to forget.

Very good pizza with pleasant sidewalk seating

By Ethan B |

Good pizza, good service, good value. We had two pizzas and a couple of beers. The waitress was friendly and helpful and the pizza was classic New York.

Italian gem in Financial District

By Scottishchef |

Although a small and somewhat remote venue, the food is excellent and the atmosphere cozy. Situated right next to the Ritz Carlton, this modern Italian is worth the trip. We had the veal Milanese and the swordfish dishes, plus the prosciutto appetizer and the eggplant parm appetizer. They were all excellent! The tiramisu was a delight.

Pizza to die for!

By 4433allanr |

Arrived at the Wagner hotel near Battery Park and check what restaurants were open nearby. This came highly rated on Yelp and with good reason. $17 for a huge pizza and very tasty. Would recommend and will come again.

Gratuity

By deliesious |

Delicious food but on the bill was a standard 20% gratuity included in the total amount. When we protested and said that 10% is enough they insisted that we paid 20%. Finally they came with a bill without any gratuity on it and we just paid it en left.

Lovely meal

By helenmG1774UC |

This restaurant had tasty and good value Italian food and was located so close to the Wagner hotel where we were staying. The service was friendly too.

Finally a great New York Pizza

By Inspecchi |

We came in from Long Island to spend the day in Battery Park but it was so busy we couldn't get tickets. So we decided to stop and have a cold drink and a pizza. We had a beer and a Baresi Pizza and it was very good. The service was good too.

Just great

By Imad farid M |

We tried a lot of restaurants in four days in NY De Luxe and normal..in my opinion inatteso pizzabar is one of the best..yesterday we had dinner..today we will have lunch before leaving NY..the best Melanzane al forno ever tried and i visited Italy a lot..very good pizza..the restaurant is excellent and the prices are more than reasonable..diner is cheaper than breakfast in Ritz Carlton hotel

Quick quality meal

By Graham S |

This was a quick pizza after a visit to Battery Park area of NYC. Quite a posh environment and offering far more than pizza. However we were up for pizza and were not disappointed especially at the big portions. Not cheap but with 2 Hendrick's and tonics, coffee came to $87 Recommended

Good solid food

By HKAmy |

Dined with my two teens. They were busy but we were able to get a table inside right away. Food was quite good - the ravioli was delicious and just the right size portion.

Nice lunch

By RogerfromTown |

My family and I ate lunch here on a Sunday. It is located next door to a large hotel which obviously brings in some trade. The service was excellent together with decent pizza. Well worth a visit.

Excellent

By aaccli |

This was our second meal here. We were here last year as well. Located right beside the Ritz Carlton Battery Park, this little Italian pizzabar has fantastic and fresh food. I can't remember what we had last year but I probably had the veal. Whatever we had was good because we returned again this year! As we looked around the restaurant, most people were having pizza so we did too and split a salad. We had the parma pizza, topped with arugula and proscuitto. Very good. Just a great little place with a great vibe. A fantastic way to end our New York getaway.

Good Italian in downtown

By David |

Nice Italian restaurant that serves great tasting modern Italian food in a friendly design setting. We had dinner there twice during our visit to New York and both times the food was good and the service excellent.

More than just a Pizza Bar

By Ray L |

I must tell you that the experience was a nice respite from all those other italian restaurants, especially in one of the busies people centers in NYC. Walking distance to the World Trade Center, State Island Ferry, Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, etc, etc. The restaurant is unpretentious and comfortable. We got there around 5:30 and were seating immediately. There were four of us and a 3 year old. The waitress was congenial and professional and was right there when we needed something. The food choices also included specials for that day which were chosen by two of the guests. The Strozzapreti was well prepared and had a nice tomato taste. The portions come in two sizes and the small was more than ample for an individual. The Cavetelli with sausage and broccoli rabe was al dante and very mild. One of our guest had the white Pizza and it was very well done, with a crusty burnt bottom and spigets od real basil leaves. I noticed that around 6:30 there were many tables with children, and they seemed to bring a humanism to the restaurant, so I would classify this restuarant as kid friend at that hour. I would recommend this restaurant for a nice meal and a good experience in food and service.

Best pizza ever

By simka1974 |

We accidentally stumbled upon this place but thank God we did! What a great restaurant. Staff is friendly, service is excellent and the food delicious. I got a pasta, my husband ordered pizza. This was one of the best pizza and we've been to a lot of authentic italian restaurants. We'll definitely come back once in NYC again:) Prices are very decent.

Nice Pizza Spot

By apple1293 |

Stopped here for lunch before heading to JFK. The service was okay. The pizza portion sizes were huge! Definitely won't leave here hungry.

Delicious Pizza!

By James G |

Restaurant is quite dark inside but had a nice feel about it. Pizzas arrived in no time and honestly tasted delicious and one of the best pizzas i've ever had. Base was nice and soft and the cheese was very stretchy and fresh.

Great pizza in Battery Park

By PinaColada02 |

I frequented this restaurant while staying at the nearby Ritz Carlton and it was a short walk from the hotel. I had pizza on one night which was delicious. I came another night for drinks at the bar with a colleague. Both times the restaurant was full but not overly crowded so it was a pleasant time at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and seemed to know some regulars who were sitting there. It was reasonably priced and a nice alternative to the hotel restaurant.

A great experience.

By dnvpaul |

From making the reservation to the delivery of the food everything was a great experience. We were a group of 10. The waiters did an excellent job in accommodating the children. The pizza was delicious. I enjoyed this place a lot.

Fine for a late night pizza

By markwY4783QE |

We arrived at around 8 pm to the Ritz Carlton Battery park which is one block away. So at around 9 pm we walked the short block to Inatteso and sat outside and ordered a simple pizza. It was tasty and very convenient for us. Neither the menu nor the wine list struck me as a place for much beyond what we ordered.

Yummy Pizza!

By Kelly L |

While the service left a lot to be desired, the pizza really made up for it!!! Best pizza I've had in a long time. Busy Friday night atmosphere, so don't go here if you are in a hurry

tasty dishes

By chinamay |

well presented and cooked dishes at a reasonable price. The staff was fairly attentive. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would return mostly for the quality of the food.

Consistently great food

By BarfleurB |

We ate here a number of times whilst staying at the hotel next door in June 2016 and enjoyed every meal. The pizza and salads were very tasty and huge portions so you may want to share! Good, varied wine list and all at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and attentive. All in all a great restaurant!

Some of the best pizza I ever had!

By JamesHungrywolf |

Some of the best pizza and customer service we have had hands down! Jose was AWESOME! Would highly recommend again and again. Everything from the dipping sauce and bread to the pizza and drinks was top notch. They were polite, friendly and made sure everything was great from beginning to end. 😄

Cozy and great Italian food...for a bit too much dough

By PLAfromMichigan |

If you want a nice place to eat in the Battery Park area of NYC, and don't want to spend $100 doing it, keep this on your list. Teh food is good, and some of it is very good. However, you might find yourself wondering why your casual dinner for two cost twice as much as it would back in Kansas City (or Peoria, or Houston, or Detroit, or for that matter, New Jersey). Service is a trifle inattentive at times. Maybe if we just had a pizza.

Great Italian Restaurant

By patentman |

If you are ever in or near Battery Park, this restaurant on West Street and 1st place is the place to go. Not only pizza but a wide selection such as bronzino. Must be a lot of nearby competition which results in very high quality food and impeccable service, otherwise a restaurant would not survive here. We highly recommend it.

Absolutely Brilliant

By Patrick S |

Great Italian authentic food - definitely worth a visit when visiting ground zero - not much else around this area to eat

Wish I wore sweatpants!

By Maria M |

Wow, the food was amazing here. Wish I didn't fill up on the bread. Enjoyed pizza, pasta, salad and even dessert at our table - everything was superb. Wish I wore sweatpants instead of jeans that night - oh the carbs!!! We enjoyed every mouthful! My 8 month old got sick and made a bit of mess, I was so embarrassed but the staff swooped over and cleaned it right up. Exceptional staff!

Great dinner

By cindy l |

Lovely restaurant located beside Ritz Carlton. Enjoyed a late night leisurely dinner on the patio. Food was very good, service was excellent.

Anybody can have an off day.

By Frank C |

Inatteso is highly thought of on a variety of websites. And any restaurant can have an off day; after all, a review is a snapshot in time. Today was one of those days for three of us. Service was slow and borderline inattentive as we had to ask repeatedly for iced tea refills as well as a doggy box. The pizza is fair and came out barely warm. I believe it was ready far before it made its way to the table. Two 12" pizzas, three salads and iced tea came to $80.00 including tip, not bad for Battery Park City. Outdoor dining is available, a plus. And on a weekend the area is rather quiet so eating outdoor is delightful. The place was busy so its reputation fairly speaks for itself. It spoke with a hushed voice today.

No bread

By pup0ne |

We have booked online without problems for four persons .we ordered 3x pasta and 1 pizza Margherita.Pasta alla norma was delicious but my son was not very happy with the pizza. We asked for same bread but was finished, We had to ask for fork and knives...probably a bad day?🤔

Nice small place

By Jim T |

We went for dinner and non of us wanted pizza. We all tried to order different food so we could share. I had veal and it was fried, not very good. My wife had pasta with a sauces, that was very good. the other two share pasta also they had no complaints. The service was OK but nothing over the top. It was a little smokey from the brick oven and after sometime we all had to get out and get fresh air. I would go back to pick up a pizza.

My go to place when in Battery Park

By Jackie S |

My office is across the street... Anyone in the Battery Park area (I'm talking to you Lady Liberty visitors)... Grab a Bufalina pizza with Speck on top and a bottle of SuperTuscan. Kinda can't stand it when they get a new waiter who greets you with a surprised look because you don't have a reservation at 5pm (and searches an empty room and outdoor seating area as to suggest that they can't possibly make room for me)... But I look past the pretentiousness of this place because their pizza is almost always tops.

Excellent

By Amanda A |

Ordered "TAGLIOLINI E POLPETTE: toasted garlic, rustic tomato, meatballs, basil, parmesan" which was absolutely excellent. I ordered the larger portion and split it with my sister. $22 is a pretty good deal because we got a large portion! The meatball was very succulent and the pasta delicious. My mother ordered the "GRILLED CHICKEN PAILLARD: roasted eggplant puree, arugula, cherry tomato, potato, parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar " which had excellent flavors and juiciness. Dad ordered the "CAVATELLI CON SALSICCIA: pork sausage, sweet and spicy peperonata, rustic tomato, fresh ricotta, basil " and loved it! Nice environment with some decent views of the surrounding city.

Tasty pizza, slightly off service

By JL1026 |

We stopped here after a trip to the Statue of Liberty. We arrived around 4:28pm and were informed the restaurant was closed until 4:30pm. We let them know we could wait the 2 minutes to be seated and they seemed slightly annoyed since they were gearing up for the dinner rush. We chose to sit outside and it was a very nice area. The pizzas overall were delicious. We were a group of four and ordered three 12 inch pies. The Bianca, Capricciosa & the Tropicale. They are fairly big and I would definitely recommend sharing that way you can taste a few different varities. All 3 pizzas were tasty but our favorite was the Capricciosa. Our waiter was a bit scattered and seemed stressed by our presence so I would recommend possibly going closer to dinner hour. It may have just been a off day for them. Nice view when sitting outside as well.

Great pizza!

By LVBaustin |

We had the Margarita and Parma pizzas. The crust was excellent!! Service was great as well! I would definitely come back!!!

Pizza bar or Cici's

By TXCouple2000 |

Made the hike to this place for some pizza and a glass of wine on a Saturday evening around 8pm. Instantly seated in the bar area next to the window. Within minutes two small children were in our lap!!!! They and an older brother of about 10 had the run of the place. Children welcome in the bar area??? Children leaning on our table and stepping on our feet??? Maybe at Cici's Pizza but not at a Pizzabar. We left without ordering.

Great Pizza after touring Statue of Liberty

By NewbieMaui |

You spent a few hours touring Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, it's almost 6pm and the family is Hungry! Inatteso Pizzabar is just minutes walk from Battery Park and what a find it was. Now, it's a small(ish) place but that shouldn't surprise any NYC tourist. What's surprising about this place is that it's nice and cozy and a large Pizza doesn't cost an arm and a leg! We had the Margherita Pizza and it was awesome. Nice tangy sauce with basil on top, very flavorful. Would have gone there again if we were in the neighborhood.

So good that I went once more the day we left

By mel1000 |

We were staying at the Wagner Hotel next door and I happened across Inatteso on my way back one early evening. I stopped for a quick sip on the patio. I ordered the salad of the day and Prosecco. The salad was absolutely fabulous. Crisp, crunchy, and so fresh. Lovely subtle dressing. The prosecco was light and bright but not acid. It was such a lovely relaxing time. We stopped by for a mid-afternoon snack the next day. A basket of bread arrived along with the BEST white bean spread I've ever had. We shared the gluten free, flourless nutella cake with chocolate ice cream -- dense and flavourful. I ordered the prosecco again. When I visit NYC again, I'll return.

The Perfect Ending to a Perfect Day

By CTtraveler002 |

Twelve family members spent a wonderful day at Ellis Island to honor our Italian grandparents. Based on Tripadvisor reviews we decided on dinner at Inatesso Pizzabar. Don't let the name fool you as this is so much more than pizza. From the moment we arrived and asked to sit outside with a view of the Freedom Tower we were warmly welcomed and had excellent service from Tania. The menu has a variety of choices from pasta (Tagliatelle Bolognese was excellent), pizza and special fish and meat entrees. We all tried something different and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. And don't miss dessert. The Nutella cake was to die for! We will certainly be back here when in NYC. Thank you for making our day and dinner extra special. The Dagata family

Perfect spot, before or after museum visit

By ManhattanMama |

This casual restaurant is a hidden gem, located steps from the Museum of Jewish Heritage and other Battery Park destinations. Tucked away on a quiet street, with pleasant indoor seating and lovely outdoor tables that offer views of soaring buildings, this a great place to relax with a glass of wine (excellent Italian selection) and enjoy delicious individual pizzas or pastas (half portions of pastas is a great option). The wait staff is very highly attentive. And we were served bread without asking for it.

Close buy, reasonable prices, good food

By 558Bertie |

Lots of types of pizzas and pasta, also a take out a door down with nice sandwiches and pastries. The owner was very nice and the setting was restful with both outdoor and indoor seating.

Good Pizza Good Price

By lisamM2516IJ |

We ate here on a weekday afternoon & was able to sit outside. Service was very good, it never felt like we were forgotten which sometimes happens when you're outside. Pizza was good, not outstandingly good, but good.

Tasty !!!!!

By DiGi2711 |

OMG!!!! The pizza was to die for we ordered 3 different kind, sorry don't remember but a MUST try pizza place!! Zuppa Frantoiana ( Tuscan bean & veggie soup ) definitely worth getting! Rizzuto special was out of this world!! I will definitely take a trip back to New York just to go there & eat, it was that Good !!!!

Lovely food and service

By Tinygreen |

We could not fault the food and the service in this small restaurant next door to The Ritz Carlton in Battery Park. The pizza and pasta were delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. We visited twice during our stay. They offer a take out box for leftover pizza. Don't be put off if it looks shut from the outside as the lighting is quite low :)

very bad service..

By crizio |

Me and my girlfriend ordered 2 pastas and one dessert. They brought just one pasta and the dessert, we told the waiter and they brought the other pasta after five minutes. Food was quite good, but the surprise came later when we asked for the bill. First of all the italian guy ( I don't know if he is the owner of the restaurant or not) gave us a very expensive wrong bill (I don't know if he did it on purpose as there were just few people in the restaurant). I quickly noticed it and let him know and he gave us the right bill of 59,80$. He refused me to give him coins so I gave 70$ and he gave me back 10$, I am not disappointed about that 20cents of course but then he explained to me that apparently employees of restaurants in NY don't get paid from the employer but from the costumers' tips. He showed us the "tips range" on the bottom of the receipt so we felt forced to give him a tip so I gave him 10$. This has never happened in my life, very disappointed

Yummy

With the backdrop of One World Center, the Italian Pizza Outlet serves the best Pizza. Thin crust perfectly baked to taste. Highly recommended for Pizza lover.

Delicious, fresh Italian cuisine

By JillBollettieri |

Great option for fantastic, authentic Italian pastas, salads, pizzas. Ravioli in butter and sage melted in my mouth. Hearty lasagna. Fresh tasty salads.

Felt rushed...

By ireland2010Colorado |

We walked to this restaurant in the evening after a busy day as a farewell dinner (had been visiting our daughter). We arrived around 9 PM and were seated promptly. We placed our orders but when the lasagna bolognese came out it was totally cold in the center. They did take it back and brought it back thoroughly heated. My husband said it was very good. I wasn't very hungry so ordered an appetizer--grilled asparagus--which was also good. While the food was good, we felt rushed in that they must have been closing at 10 PM that night (this was a Sunday night in NYC so a 10PM closing time seemed pretty early). Our waitress must have had a long shift because she was pretty cold toward us. We all split a dessert and then left. I would rate the food as very good, but the service was very average. I wouldn't seek this place out again. I don't have information as to whether they reservations/delivery/brunch, etc.

Nice Italian Restaurant in Battery Park

By Chris M |

Overall a very nice Italian restaurant. As you can see on the menu a reasonable selection of menu items without being so large that quality suffers. One very nice thing is that they have both large and small plates for a number of dishes for those that have a smaller appetite. I had the Peposo (braised beef shank stew, cipollini alla brace, creamy herbed polenta). Dish was very flavorful, polenta was cooked nicely though a few of the beef shanks were slightly fatty. My wife had the Ravioli con Spinaci e Ricotta wit a butter sage sauce which she found to be very enjoyable. Definitely fresh made and very flavorful. Pros: Nice menu selection Fresh Made Friendly Prompt Service Cons: A little noisy (we went on a Friday night). Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

STILL GREAT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!

By David P |

It's been a while since we have had the chance to come down here but it still has it all!!! From the OUTSTANDING service to the AMAZING food!! Never skips a beat!! Make sure to have the Lasagna when you are here for dinner.

A haven only a block from the ferry

By SEbiztraveler2 |

This little spot is easy. If you're at battery Park, it's only a block north. Great service, full of charm, outside seating and reasonable prices.

Good Pizza

By Maria T |

Conveniently located for all the Battery Park sights. Been once before a number of years ago and glad to say that the pizzas are still very good. Decent wine list, if not a bit pricey. Attentive service and overall very acceptable.

Fantastic food

By Jane G |

After a trip on the Staten Island Ferry we were looking for the Inatesso cafe but found the pizza bar first. What luck! We have had dinner there three times now and each time the food was absolutely delicious. Beautifully cooked. We have had the pasta, pizza, sea bass and salad. The Nutella cake is one of the best desserts ever. The name doesn't do it justice. Beautiful bread and dip are served with all meals. You won't go hungry. We shared an appetiser and entree. The wine list is very good. Service friendly and very efficient. Best coffee we have had in NYC. Yesterday we took a bus cross town then a train just to get there. There is also a cafe on the same block. Love this place!

Nice surprise in Battery park

By nisocel |

We get to it through Google Maps? Since after the visit to the Statue of Liberty we wanted to eat in the area. We booked and as the day got stormy we decided to go a little earlier than we had indicated. It doesn't say much on the outside, but when you walk in, you see you're in a good place. We ordered lasagne, pizza and pasta and all 3 dishes were very delicious. As well as the bread and the starter they put on us. We ate in a very comfortable Mood. And at the end I ordered a latte that was not reflected in the bill. I reported it to our waiter and he said nothing was wrong that everything was fine like this. So apart from a great gastronomic experience they also proved to be an expert in customer service. So I highly recommend it! You have to go!!

Good

By madda59 |

Nearby battery park returning from the statue of liberty 🗽. Excellent pizzas, salads too full of onions 4 people, 2 pizzas, 2 salads 3 small beers in a can over $140. Too much for us Italians who spend less than half on the same dishes

Fine Casual Italian Food

By Mark P |

Innateso offers fine food in a casual setting. It is located next door to the Ritz Carlton Battery Park. I recommend the Tuscan bean and vegetable soup, the eggplant with pasta, and the Nutella cake and gelato dessert. Service was fairly quick and friendly.

Expensive

By NorvicMan |

We needed to eat and happened upon this place. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the world go by. I had the strip steak which I found disappointing, because it was a little gristly and it served pre-sliced. I thought it was a bit too expensive too.

Disappointed

By Solitude1 |

On our recent visit we were told there were no table inside .. Okay understand it ... A bit cool outside but okay. As we watch others going it and looked in window tables empty. In fact one couple who declined to sit outside walked away rather then be outside. As they were walking away the hostess rans after them to seat them inside !! Really disappointed.

Surprisingly Phenomental Pizza and Pasta

By Sergio_Aguilar |

My family and I have stayed twice now in Battery Park but we have rarely eaten in the area, and have found many places to be ok, but not great. This past weekend were really surprised by the outstanding pizza, pasta - and the wines by the glass - at Inatteso. The concierge at the Ritz Carlton had recommended that we take the kids here - a very family freindly place, which however also has a nice bar and adults hanging for a late beverage or mea - (we arrived 8:30, stayed until 10:00 and it was still busy. Someday this place will be better known, and afraid we will have problems getting seated.

Always Great!!

By Maria G |

I always eat in this restaurant at least one time each visit to New York. The Pizza and Pastas are always great. Their salads and specials are equally as good. I've eaten here many times with family and friends and it is always a crowd pleaser. The atmosphere is very welcoming.

Not so kids friendly service

By vipinshr |

We visited the place based on the recommendation of our friends. We went there with our two kids. One of the staff members spoke very rudely (literally shouting) to my son. We were surprised by the sudden behavior. We requested him to be respectful to kids but he started arguing with us too. We asked for their manager's number but it was also not shared with us. We finally left from there with our son continuously crying in fear. Our entire evening went in consoling him and our day was ruined. Definitely will not recommend the place for this reason. I am sure none of us would want our kids to go through such an experience.

Very Noisy!

By Kathleen P |

The food and service were very good. I had delicious pasta with a bolognaise ragu that was fantastic. We shared several deserts and they were all delicious! The problem was the noise level. It was SO noisy that our group of six had trouble carrying on any kind of conversation. They do have outside seating and that would probably have been a better choice.

Great pizzas, convenient if your staying at Ritz-carlton hotel

By elcat b |

We visited twice for dinner during our 4 day trip to NYC as it was just down the road from our hotel. The service was exceptional, food was speedily made and delicious (especially the pizza) and prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. Wish we had left some room for dessert!!

Food is ok, poor service

Food is ok; it is expensive for what you getting. Service is unfortunately not very good. I don't think management has figured it out. Badly trained staff, oh well.

A bit of Italy

By TazzOC_CA |

It was near the rear of the Ritz Carlton. They provided hand made pizza's and pasta, great sauces a great location and quirky(in a good way) service. Also, the wine list is 99% Italian wines and they were great.

Nice Pasta in Nice Atmosphere

By Mike B |

This is an Italian place with nice Pasts and Pizza.. I had the wild boar linguini. Was ok - nothing really outstanding. Atmosphere is very nice and they have a nice wine selection. Good place when you are in the financial district and are looking for a mid range dinner.

DELIGHTFUL FOOD AND WONDERFUL SERVICE

By gsh738 |

We scheduled a large, multifamily brunch a few Sundays ago at Inatteso and were delighted with the warmth, attention and service on all fronts that we received. Irene was a pleasure to work with and helped to make an important and somewhat complex get together a delight. The food was delicious, creatively presented and fairly priced. And all the staff were responsive and professional. We will definitely return when we are once again in NYC. Thanks to everyone at Inatteso.

How do you say excellent in Italian?

By Don S |

We had reservation for a group of 10 on a cold winter night. We found a warm atmosphere with an over abundance of delicious Italian cuisine. I had read one review that spoke of how great the bread was. The dip for the bread was out of this world. Everyone ordered something different and there was not a single complaint amongst us. The portions were large and the price small. The pizzas were too large for a grown man to eat alone. You gotta give this place a try when you are in Battery Park.

Afternoon lunch

We stopped here on our way back from the Statue of Liberty based on the reviews. The service good and the pizza was good. It was 24.00 and fed three of us. I wouldn't say it was the best pizza I had while in NY, but it was convient.

Terrible Customer Service!

By Jeff D |

I have never written a 1 star review before, but Inatteso's customer service is so bad that took away from the 4 stars I would have given it for the food! Let me explain: I phoned in an order for a Margherita pizza for pick-up based on the menu prices listed on Yelp*. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my pizza I was charged $2 more. I inquired why, and the hostess told that the prices on Yelp were not correct. No one told me how much the total would be when I placed my order and I mentioned that this was not fair. The restaurant refused to honor the price listed on the Yelp menu and suggested I write to the owners of the restaurant, which I did. This is the response I received back (my only edit is hiding the same of the Manager): "Hello This is ***** manager at inatteso I do apologize for the way my stuff answer the phone call But we do not manage every web side in this case yelp has an old menu of us on the web We appreciate you for bringing this up to our attention" WOW! Forget about the poor grammar and spelling mistakes, etc., but in my opinion this is an unacceptable response! Until they clean up their act and learn how to properly treat customers, I will NOT be going back and will be telling all of my friends, business associates and anyone else who wants to know, not to go there as well! Go to their other restaurant, Adrienne's instead, they are awesome and know how to treat their customers. It's not the $2...it's the principle and how my situation was handled! So disappointed!

Great pizza near Battery Park

This was a nice surprise. My husband and I stopped here for lunch and enjoyed excellent salad and pizza. There is also a take out counter next door which is perfect if you want to pack a picnic or buy food for your hotel room. This is right next to the Ritz Carlton.

Yummy!

The ravioli in sage and butter sauce was fantastic as well as the lasagna. We happened to ask a local and she recommended. We were not disappointed.

Nice Lower Manhattan Lunch Spot

By JfromWV |

We stayed @ the Ritz Carlton Battery Park Hotel during our visit to NYC so this restaurant was very convenient for lunch between lower Manhattan activities for the day. Meals were tasty, service was attentive & atmosphere was relaxed. Indoor/outdoor seating options were available. Would have returned for dinner one evening had we not had plans elsewhere.
