I was here for an alumni event on a Thursday night and though the location outside on Park Avenue offered great views and people watching it was LOUD and very crowded. That didn't seem to dent the enthusiasm of the young crowd drinking, dining, and shouting at each other but it did make it hard to have useful conversations amongst our group. If you want to be part of a very NYC scene in midtown this would work well, but if you actually want to chat without yelling it might be a challenge.

Love the inside dining area - inside a church. Good music playing and cool architecture. Best lunch we had on our girls' trip to NYC. Right next door to the Waldorf Astoria. Learned about it from another couple in our elevator who gave it rave reviews. They were right, it's delish!

Enjoyed sitting outside on a beautiful summer evening. The place was crowded but the overall ambiance was inviting and it didn’t feel congested. Impossible burger with a few beers in the company of some office colleagues made this an evening to remember. Heard the restaurant does some charity work with a food kitchen nearby which made it an extra special evening.

Came here for a business lunch and I have to say I like the place. Service is good and unobtrusive. The setting is unique and lovely inside a renovated church - it was too chilly in early March to make use of the tented, bright front space. I like the lunch menu. The Kale Caesar with Salmon was delicious I just wish there was more of the greens - the size bowl it was served in was not appropriate for a $23 entree salad. I'd like to make this a go to place for business lunches.

We just got to town and were at the Waldorf Astoria and did not want to go far so this seemed like a good choice. It turned out to be very good although we were not sure since it was hot and humid when we arrived but soon the patio was in the shadows and a cooler breeze relieved our fears. The service was pretty good and quick. The Crab Cake was very good. The fish special was Scallops and the first 3 I had were exceptional however the 4th had some sand still in it, almost ruined a perfect dish..almost.

My best friend from HS and I celebrated her 41st birthday here. I ordered the squash bisque which was really good but almost too hearty for an appetizer so I didn't finish it. She got the marinated olives to start which were served with an interesting salty cream paste -we forgot to ask the server what it was, but it was good. For entrees, I ordered the short rib -Highly Recommend!!!- and she got the jumbo crab cake with spaghetti squash. I loved mine but am not sure how she felt about hers. For dessert we got cookies from "grandmas around the world" which was total BS as they were Italian cookies from Arthur Avenue or I am a monkey's uncle. Also, my tea and her coffee were lukewarm, not hot as I would have liked. The service was excellent and the place was super quiet and nearly deserted which I loved -it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! I have always wanted to eat here during summer or spring as they have a nice outdoor area which they tent in winter. We ate inside the dining room as it was chilly but the whole experience was wonderful overall. I just think they need to step up their dessert game.

What is great about this restaurant is its location. I would recommend it as a place for cocktails and small bites. I went for lunch and had a reservation. After being seated waitstaff just forgot about us. We had to track down waitstaff to place our order. I had the fish tacos and my friend had the kale salad. The only thing I enjoyed were my fries. The fish tacos were bland and taco charred. I do not think I will return to this restaurant. I went for lunch last hear and service lacked luster, the food was better then. There are many restaurant options that get more than one thing right.

I´ve been here several times along the past six years, nice place to share some drinks with your friends, and also good hamburgers. Service is helpful and friendly. A place to come back

My wife, grandson, and I enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at St. Bart's. We chose to eat in the Great Hall. Service was a bit slow. Because of the long list of items on the menu, I asked the waitress to explain the menu. All items, except drinks, were included! She referred to the dinner as a feast and it truly was a feast. The dinner included a huge selection of items and in generous portions. All items were prepared appropriately and tastey. The turkey was moist and vegetables were not overcooked. Thanksgiving dinner at St. Bart's was a great choice because of the food and because of the price.

I had a lobster roll which ranked as the worst I have ever eaten. High on sauces and fillers and low on the lobster. Worse yet, the "extras" did not taste good. The only reason I would ever go back is for drinks after work.

Had the steak and my friend had a salad. Great drinks and service from Nicole. There’s a nice outside bar and inside a great space for dinner.

We tried here because it was close to our hotel. We sat in a booth as the tables in the centre of the room seemed very dark. The food was good (perhaps a little overpriced) and the service was attentive without being intrusive. In the summer diners can sit in the ''tented area" at the front.

Let me start by saying my partner of 32 years and I had our a wedding reception held here after our wonderful wedding nuptials at St. Bartholomew's Chapel adjacent to the restaurant. I had been working with the then catering manager for our reception about 5 to 6 months before our Sept. 20, 2013 wedding. Everything had been set for a fabulous outdoor terrace reception weather permitting. One week before the scheduled event the catering manager left the restaurant and assured me all would be well with her new replacement. I followed up with an email just days prior to flying to New York with this new young lady to make sure all was on schedule and was informed it was. Imagine our surprise when we walked over to the restaurant and discovered our reception was not on the terrace but inside a part of the old church that has been converted to a restaurant. The weather couldn't have been the excuse as it was an absolutely beautiful early Fall day with temperatures in the mid seventies. Our guest totaled 30 people and this cavernous space just lost us all in an effort to mingle and communicate. While we stood greeting guest at the building entrance off the terrace I informed a man, who was seemingly in charge of our affair, of our total dislike of the situation. He did offer to move our party out to the terrace, but by then everyone had made their way to the reception. We felt to do so at that point would have just caused confusion plus eat into the 2 and half hour time frame we had paid to have. Even though he made this offer he seemed perplexed that we might even consider doing so. The reception was scheduled to start to begin at 4:30 PM. By this time the terrace had began to fill with a mix of after office cocktail hour people and diners, making a nice and comfortable spot for us near impossible. Once we were inside the building we discovered they had not even set up the wedding cake table with our cake, framed picture of us on our 1st anniversary or the flower arrangement left for the table. One lady was serving hors d'oeuvres and another tending the bar. The one passing around with the food trays was also taking drink orders, which was very awkward by the fact I order a glass of wine and after 15 minutes had to approach the bar myself to order. By this time I had found the catering manager and discussed our displeasure with the outcome and inquired as to why it had not been set up for the terrace. Her response to me was, "Oh that's right. It was suppose to held on the terrace". "I don't know how that happened." I also informed her of the man's earlier offer to move it outside and his look of dissatisfaction with the thought of having to do so. By this time, probably 30 minutes into the affair, they had began to try and set up a table for the cake, plates, forks, flowers and the picture we had brought earlier to the restaurant to be used. Our officiant realized our displeasure with everything and took it upon himself to have the staff move everything moved out to a place on the terrace. Of course, it now being 5 o'clock in the evening, there was a very limited section available to be set up for our 30 guest and ourselves. While the space was accommodating, the hors d'oeuvres ceased to be served and we were prompted to cut the cake so it could be served. With having paid a nice price for each guest in attendance to have enough food plus an open bar for the 2 and half hour duration, we were somewhat very displeased with the food service. I have a saying I use quite often and it goes like this, "It is what it is". We went on and made the best out of an awkward and disorganized situation, determined not to let it ruin a day the two of us had waited 32 years to have. I will say that once we did get outside with the music of a DJ, the lovely afternoon skies, majestic skyscrapers surrounding us accompanied by the exterior beauty of the Rose Window and façade of St. Bartholomew's Church, our guest seemed to truly open up and enjoy themselves. If I had to do the reception over again, which for something so memorable one can't redo, I definitely would not have it at Inside Park at St. Bart's. Even with last minute checking, it didn't turn out as we had hoped or envisioned it would have originally.

Stopped here on the way home after a Broadway show for a cocktail and beers for the 4 of us. Super efficient bar staff and a calm lovely vibe on an august evening. Will definitely stop off again.

This is one of the few outdoor restaurants in New York. Excellent for lunch with friends (and business).

Just three of us on a thankfully cool August day, and a really great lunch in a striking outdoor patio setting right on Park avenue under the shadow of the glorious St. Bart's church. We just had appetizers and they were all delicious. Ceviche, crab crostini and tuna tacos. Superb spot for a east side lunch and make sure you take a look inside St. Bart's. Byzantine glory!

Interesting place as it was once part of a church. Great raised location above bustling Park Ave. Had a great burger. Looks like it would be a hot spot at night for cocktails

We were recommended this restaurant by a New Yorker when having breakfast at Bouchon near the Rockefella Centre. We were not disappointed, from arriving to leaving everything was perfect and I mean perfect! Our waiter John was everything that you would want from a waiter, attentive, friendly, efficient and he knew his 'stuff' Gazpacho was just delicious and the Crab Cakes for our main course were the best I have ever had and I don't say that lightly. They came with Asparagus and Sweet Corn with a few fries on the side. It was a great atmosphere with great music in the background, not too loud at all and sitting outside as we did, in the warm evening air was great. Not overpriced at all, food or drink and the Argentinian Malbec was excellent. Definitely a revisit is in order when next in New York. Highly recommended!!

had a lovely lunch here prices same as other restaurants in the area locals like it very popular takes credit cards

We stumbled on St Bart's after visiting the MoMA and stopped for lunch. We both enjoyed our lunch sandwiches which included a nice side salad with one and very tasty fries with the other. Attentive and friendly service by the waitress. Food took a slight bit longer than expected to arrive but it arrived hot so it hadn't just been sitting under the warming lamps. Prices seemed reasonable for Mid-town given the generous portions.

Great place to hang out for good value drinks with the Manhattan working crowd. $15 for 2 vodka lime and sodas.... enough said!

Great setting on an open air terrace (across the street from the Waldorf) with an unobstructed view of Park Avenue. Assortment of soups, salads, sandwiches and main courses. Try the veggie panini or the chicken salad wrap. We found portions generous and the service attentive. It's a comfortable spot to take a break and enjoy the hustle of New York from a higher plane.

If the weather is good, be sure to try this place. It can be a little pricey, but the two of us were quite satisfied with one glass of wine each and a shared flatbread and shared salad.

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food!!!!!! Very central (right near Waldorf Astoria) and looks extremely exclusive - don't be put off by this, venture in. Great Happy Hour and realistic meal prices. One of the best nights out on our trip Thank you to all the staff x

Delicious crab cake sandwich and yummy salads. Great view and cool place! We will definitely come back our next time in New York!

We have tracked 12 states coast to coast and we have eaten in all sorts of places but this was shocking. 1st there is the waiter who thinks he is it and a bag of chips, condescending, fake smile and can't listen when your order. I had to repeat myself a few times and still no bacon on the burger. He seemed repulsed that I asked for it. Then the mains arrive ahead of the appetizers, apologies are made and the mains are taken away and then the appetizers come. Now here is the rub the Calamari And Arancini Balls were outstanding! So tasty, but then the waiter delivers out mains and it is clear that these are not fresh these are the originals mains from 40 mins ago. They have been sitting under a warmer so they are dry and stale. The original burger has been pulled apart and bacon stuffed in there. You could see bread sticking to the cheese. It was something you would get from a school canteen. Dry, bland and tasteless with no sauce. Will never return. For the first time ever we did not leave a tip. The waiter needs an attitude adjustment because if he thinks he is concealing his disdain for his clients he is kidding himself.

My niece made reservations here for a Saturday evening as we were staying at the Waldorf and were looking for a spot close to both of our hotels. We were seated immediately, ordered, drinks came out immediately and our dinners followed within 15 minutes. Everything was very good and we all enjoyed our meals and service was outstanding. The weather was great and we all had a very enjoyable dinner and relaxing conversation right on Park Avenue.

This restaurant is in a lovely location beside an old church on Park Av. A delightful site. Friendly staff and reasonable food for the price. It is not an expensive place. But when the bill came they had added a pre-determined 18% tip and a statement 'service included'. The amount to tip is up to me. I have never seen a restaurant in the USA do that. Many provide a guide and leave it to you. The owner really should reconsider this practice. It spoiled an otherwise enjoyable evening.

Seated quickly and efficiently with quick service with bread and a couple of snacks for the table we were then ignored for quite a while in this three fourths full restaurant. Admittedly the Panthers were playing the Cowboys and the game was being played on the TV over the bar so there was a distraction for the waiter. He did finally come and get our drink order and served starter course which was excellent. I guess the game was really good as he did not reappear for a while. Finally delivered turkey, dressing and fixings which were good, and semi raw vegetables that were not. The game was pretty much a Panthers whitewash of the Cowboys by that point and the restaurant was now less than 1/4 full, so something else must have got the waiters attention. Ok I labor the point, but I was annoyed when the bill came with 18% already on the bill for a tip. I was thinking 5% as overpayment for his troubles. Doubt we will need to return to this otherwise attractive restaurant.

If you're staying at the Waldorf it's right next door, so handy for a drink or dinner but you are paying for the location. Food was very good, as was the wine.

This is a beautiful and relaxed setting by a church in midtown Manhattan. Service is good. Good food and great experience.

Sometimes a hidden gem is right there in front of your nose. Toward the end of June, about 8 of us wanted to get together to toast our committee leader, who'd done a fierce job over the past year. The Terrace of Inside Park fit the bill perfectly. I called and made a reservation, and there was a table and excellent service waiting for us. We took advantage of the full bar and light menu and very simply had a great celebration. Because of St Bart's convenient midtown location, we were all able to make our connections and keep on schedule afterwards. I've already scheduled another get together there with other friends for October.

A Hidden Gem...Seriously I've been going here for years. I recommend eating on the patio during lunch during the spring; and I recommend it because of the food, the tucked away location, the never-ending tulips within the Park Ave divider that begin to come up and blossom in early spring. Favourite foods are the whipped ricotta, croquettes, tostada, asparagus salad and grilled chicken sandwich. These are almost all on the smaller side and tend to be on the lower end of the restaurant price spectrum for New York City The place is so soooo easy to get to. Either take the Park Ave tunnel (near track 22) in Grand Central Terminal, exit at Park Ave (very end) make a right at the top of the stairs and another right onto Park and walk a few blocks. Otherwise, take the subway and get off at 53/Park. Walk south by a few blocks to 51/Park.

Right next door to our hotel we had the lovely St Bart's church which has a café. We went for brunch here one morning and it was a lovely restaurant. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the wine list was too. The starters are generous and we had a lovely brunch before setting off for a long day of shopping and sight seeing.

Located in an old church on Park Ave, this restaurant provides a fascinating setting. The day we had a late lunch there, it was relatively empty. The food and service were very good.

A group of friends, who are scattered over the world, came together in NYC to spend time and catch up. We had a fabulous dinner at this restaurant! Everything was freshly prepared and very flavorful. Highly recommend the starters - calamari was fabulous! We were well taken care of by the staff, who recognized our various language accents and asked what brought us to NYC. We felt truly spoiled at this restaurant. Everything from the food to the service was outstanding! Thanks for making our evening so special!

We had the loveliest time, the food was very good, street corn was amazing our steak and beet salad delicious and the homemade cookies were out of this world and I don’t eat sweets! There’s more Kriston our waitress was delightful, attentive and gracious. The same of “Sam” and the atmosphere so pleasant so peaceful. We had a lovely time and will return again on our next visit to New York

Went to a luncheon on the stage in this re-fitted church hall. The hosts had a big table for about two dozen. The thick, succulent salmon was memorable. Unfortunately, so were the dreary curtains and the lackluster display of wine bottles on the side board. Looked like leftovers from communion. With a $$$$ rating, this place should have more attractive curtains or at least flowers for a splash of color. Still seems a little too much like a setting for Sunday morning coffee hour.

I recently dined here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and my experience couldn't have been better. The service was prompt and attentive. It was a sunny day and our waiter took pains to monitor the sun and move the umbrellas now and then to ensure our shade was maintained. And by the way, the steak salad was delicious! PS - A great alternative if you're staying at the Waldorf Astoria - it's right around the corner!

I recently decided to try here for lunch on a Saturday. During the week it always seems so busy but on a Saturday afternoon not so much. One of the best features of this place is the brightness. It is like eating outside but so much better since no worries of insects! The selection was not large but enough to pick from and they were very good with food allergies. Portions were nice size. The other person at the table had a lobster roll and said it was better than she had in Boston! .

Popped in after walking past during the day for lunch. We got the last table and the place was packed. Waiter was excellent even gave us a round of free drinks due to him thinking he was not as attentive as he should be (we thought he had been great). Food was large portions and for the 2 of us was $40. We were in and out within an hour which was great for a lunch on the go.

Outstanding service, view, location - relaxing and delicious! Burrata was wonderful and the music gave a fun, celebratory feel to it all! We will go back.

Left the booking of this to family who live in NY and work a couple of blocks away. They made a great choice. Really relaxed atmosphere but in grand surroundings, with a fair number of pictures outlining the history of the place and local area. Food wise, we started with calamari and tuna tartare tacos, both of which were delicious. We then went with lobster roll, which for the portion size, was very well priced and tasty and I had the fried fish taco. Again, excellently prepared. The staff were relaxed and friendly and made sure we were kept well stocked and never had a glass nearing empty. If possible, I'd recommend eating outdoors when the weather is neither too hot or cold too, enjoy the hussle of Park Avenue whilst you relax.

Nice outdoor setting that makes for a great break. Outdoor bar is also nice. Service was inattentive with staff basically standing around, food was mediocre given the price point. Anyway, great for a pint but I'd only sit at the rail next time and skip the food.

Popped in for quick coffee and bite to eat and wished we hadn't! Coffee was cold and we'd drunk it by the time our sandwich turned up. Bacon sandwich arrived with stale bread and bacon cremated!!! Couldn't believe the amount of money they charged - should have complained. AVOID at all costs!

Located next door to St Barts church, this midtown restaurant is surprisingly reasonable with an indoor and outdoor setting. The indoor white interior festooned with holiday lights was the perfect holiday dining spot for lunch on a busy pre-holiday afternoon. However, anytime you are in midtown, either at Rockefeller Center or even Saks on Fifth and then too, even going to Bloomindales, this is a great treat and affordable. There is a bar if you just want a libation.. It's a popular place year round. By the way I did not like the drink I ordered from the exotic cocktail menu, and the waiter changed it to something more traditional without any problem. And remember returning something in the food choice is also acceptable at any restaurant but do return it immediately and politely and specify why..

My wife and daugther had dinner with me last week in this place... lovely day and the weather was great... I thought the menu was somewhat limited and even though we ordered ordinary items, one of the plates came in different than ordered...

Super cool location at St Bart's next to the Waldorf. Caprese Salad and French fries were good. Margarita pizza was so so. Cucumber fizz is tasty. Don't go out of your way to visit, but a solid option if you are in the area and hungry.

This is an excellent location to watch the Saturday Promenade....whether it's a bike race or a foot race the street is closed Saturday morning and this outdoor cafe has great food and great people watching.

I went here with a friend as we have seen this place for over 10 years and decided to stop by and have a cocktail. Drink and service was good until the bartender forgot my check request and 15 mins went by and he continued to serve others. I was not happy to be called dude either. With all the suits drinking the you think the staff would be more professional, maybe because I was casually dressed but little did he know.

The service was quick and the location was interesting. We definetly enjoyed eating outside. The food wasn't terrible but it lacked flavor and was overpriced for what it was. I asked for my burger medium, and it came out completely pink in the middle and was cold. Our waiter, although very friendly towards us had altercations with other staff members near the table. He also seemed to be very territorial and seemed upset when other staff members approached our table.

A really great location on Park Ave /51st with the opportunity to sit ‘al fresco’ on the large front terrace area, or inside which is cozy and candlelit. There is also a large marquee style bar area on the terrace. The outside dining tables are set well back from the road/traffic which is really nice and quiet. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was really tasty - we enjoyed seafood options (giant crab cakes and lobster pasta). Prices were reasonable. Only negative at the moment is that the adjacent Waldorf hotel is closed and boarded up (presumably for restoration) and is a bit of an eyesore.

My daughter and I wanted a quick bite to eat near our hotel - the Waldorf. We automatically assumed that the prices would be outlandish, but this was not the case! Our meal, which included an appetizer, was delicious and very affordable - a nice reprieve from prices found in other restaurants in that area.

I've walked past St Bart's 100 times, always on my way to some other part of the city and not during lunchtime. So it was never convenient for me to eat there - but I always wondered what it was like. I finally had the opportunity to eat at Inside Park and it was an absolute pleasure. Naturally, if the weather is not nice (including very humid days) things would be different - but you could always eat inside. But on a beautiful summer day the terrace was thoroughly enjoyable. But that's not all! The food was very good and so was the service. The prices are reasonable and you can book with OpenTable. And something extremely unusual for any restaurant: there was not one thing on the menu I wouldn't like to try. So I will definitely look for excuses to be near St Bart's around lunchtime. What a great find.

The food is good, not great. However, the outdoor setting next to a cathedral in midtown Manhattan is outstanding. Good service. Very nice experience.

This experience was just average. The food was good but frankly there was not enough of it for a Thanksgiving dinner for four adults. The table was way too small to accommodate the people, the food and the drinks. Coffee was extra so that was annoying considering how much the meal cost. I would not do it again.

What a wonderul adaptive reuse of what had been an entry courtyard fronting the historic St. Bartholomew's on the northeast corner of Park Avenue and 50th street, an umbrella shaded patio for casual dinning. And if the weather becomes inclement as it too often does in Midtown Manhattan, the tables are moved into the reimagined church. But do try to make it for a suprisingly reasonable if uninspired lunch on a pleasant day on the patio, for watching the workday Park Avenue parade of scampering suits and skirts. A great spot for lingering over an after dinner coffee or yet another glass of wine..

Having previously had an excellent meal here, we chose it for dinner as part of a trip to New York to celebrate a 21st birthday. The reservation was made in person on Sunday June 8th for the following evening. At that time we had a conversation with the person taking the booking about the rain forecast for the following day, but were reassured that this would not be a problem. On our arrival at our reservation time on June 9th, we were taken aback to discover that a decision had been taken in the morning to close the restaurant due to the severe wet weather and only the bar was open. No contact had been made with us at our hotel. We spoke with Holly who was the duty manager that evening for an indoor private function. Despite our huge disappointment, Holly was an example of North American customer service at its best. Whilst we had a complimentary drink at the bar, she recommended and contacted another local restaurant to reserve us a table. She was courteous, professional and satisfactorily resolved a potentially disastrous evening from our viewpoint. Our subsequent meal at Lexington Brass was good.

Food is ok and reasonably priced for the area. But my last experience for lunch was not particularly fun. I had asked for a table inside the restaurant, but they had some private event and had to sit outside. This , in NY in July at 1 pm, is not a good idea unless you enjoy sauna for lunch. The service was on the slow side, and this did not help.

I take a swim class at this church and decided to stop by this place before class. Very nice venue if you don’t know about it you would probably walk right by it because it looks like it may be a private event going on. The happy hour is limited but decent and prices are normal for this part of town. They do serve food but I didn’t eat. Seems like a lot of folks loved the fries though and wings! I will definitely be back. Staff are friendly but this is not the type of place where the bartenders shoot the breeze with the customers. There a couple of TV’s inside as well, seems like a lot finance types come here after work. A very nice place to kill some time. Will definitely be back

Unusual location: it was a church. Nice place outside, a bit dark inside, but cosy. Nice food and not so expensive for NY.

Interesting menu with a lot of light choices. Very good wine list. Friendly waitstaff. On a nice afternoon, this is a terrific spot for an outdoor lunch. Would certainly return the next time we’re in NYC.

I had a lovely sear tuna nicoise salad here that was perfectly prepared. In the summer they have a huge patio on the grounds of the church. On Park and 51st, this is a great place to take a break from shopping and enjoy the scenery.

Leaving our hotel we spotted this restaurant and decided to give it a try. It was a really warm night so we were able to sit outside. The restaurant and bar both were really busy but we felt the service was spot on and as soon as we needed a waiter for anything we were able to get their attention with ease and a quick response. The food I felt was reasonable as eating anywhere nice in new York is not cheap and what we did have was really nice and well presented. I shared cheese and biscuits at the end of our meal with my husband and it was really large and would have been too big for just one person to eat with a really good selection of cheeses. They do have an inside eating area that looked really nice to. Not sure if this is just a week venue as we had planned to go back on the weekend but was closed so ensure you check if wanting to eat here.

The food was good as was the selection to choose from. The setting outside was very pleasant and the service ok but not overly hot. Was a good meal for an average price you'd expect to pay for this sort of meal. The meal was also nicely seasoned so not too salty like a lot of places I have found I the states. Altogether a nice place for lunch whilst your in the middle of the city, perfect for a business meeting.

I have been back a few times when i am in manhattan This time it’s my six year old son We sat outside as usual Beautiful setting and so unusual in Manhattan Food was great Service also And an excellent kids menu Go to this place ; kids or not Id recommend it !

Located at St Bartholomew's courtyard, this is a nice, large outdoor venue with good food. It gets packed after work by the local suits so plan around that unless you don't mind being packed in.

Restaurant has cute terrace in the mid of Park av. Great please to feel a bit of Italy surrounding NY skyscrapers. Picas okey, we have eat pica with peach and serrano, it was new taste for us.

After spending the whole day walking around the city we wanted to eat some place close to our hotel so that's how we ended up at this place. There's a tent that you enter into and it's lively & loud. We were brought to a large room in the back which was completely empty which was fine albeit a bit depressing. We ordered the lamb meatballs served with tzatziki. The meatballs were clearly warmed up and the tzatziki sauce looked like mayo instead of yoghurt. For my daughter we ordered a margarita pizza which was awful! It was a puddle of sauce with bits of melted mozzarella cheese. The arancini balls were clearly frozen and deep fried. The white wine was the only thing that was ok. We spent $90 for this awful dining experience. Do not waste your money, dine elsewhere.

Service - okay (they took forever to take our order, forgot several things did not once fill up our glasses), food was decent, (Kales salad was beyond blah) but sitting outside on the patio ... that was the good part! Great outdoor spot to eat across the street from the Waldorf Astoria!

Found this place quiet by accident but the day was sunny so decided to stay for lunch. We are so glad we did and the food was delicious and the service exemplary.

Ok for drinks if you're in the area. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. Waiter was extremely rude. I asked for a vodka w/ a splash of vermouth and splash of olive juice - not so complicated - and the waiter gave me a lecture and teased me repeatedly about special orders. And warned me the chef in the kitchen wouldn't make accommodations. Even after I ordered food (which I didn't modify) he continued to comment about how difficult he thought I was going to be with my food order. Btw the drink was $12. No happy hour. No drink specials. Loud especially near the bar. Service needs work. Learn to treat customers w/ respect. Slow service - I think they are understaffed. They don't always listen to you when you order or ask for something so you might have to ask several different people a few different times. Food is just ok. I wouldn't recommend this place for a meal. Warm rolls and butter when you order food. Pizza is like a flatbread. Just ok. Spinach salad was small for the price. Wilted spinach leaves. Ordered shrimp on it. Got 4. Pre-frozen limp shrimp. Bland. Asked for dressing on the side. It was a weird texture. Like a jelly. Sweet potato fries were good.

Inside Park was the meeting place for lunch with a friend before attending a memorial service at the church. We were there when the restaurant opened. Two of a few customers. I ordered the Classic Margherita pizza and my friend ordered the Chicken Chop Chop. It consisted of roasted chicken breast, green and red cabbage, scallions, cashews and a sesame ginger dressing, which we ended up sharing. My first pizza was burnt so black on the bottom that I asked for another. Somewhere between 20 to 30 minutes passed by before I was served again. This time with a pizza that tasted of nearly raw dough. Thus the shared Chicken Chop Chop, which while a healthy choice was nothing to write home about. Overall, I felt the service bordered on haphazard.

It took 1 hr to get food and a and almost everything went wrong. First we did not get the table we wanted (manager refused to give us table decided by hostess). Then the waiter wanted everything in one order (drinks and food). Thereafter we waited for 50 minutes for food (and sodas were not on refill, charge for each). We told politely the waiter that we waited for the food and asked where it was, he answered that he did not know and wanted to go home himself as well.... Two of the dishes were bad (flatbread Margarita was all burned and steak was overdone, not medium rare as ordered). Then, finally, when we were all done, waiter came to ask how everything was. We told him honestly: not good. He shrugged his head and left. We asked for bill and left. 133$ out the window.

Waited 10 minutes to order drinks. My family visited here to have dinner. I am unable to tell you about the quality of the food as we never received menus. No one ever came back to our table, and we had to wait at the bar just to pay out bill. Extremely disappointing, as they are in a lovely setting.

Stopped by for a couple hours in the PM after a long flight to relax and enjoy a few cocktails. Great location on Park Ave, nice service and would return for food next time in NYC. Not cheap but this is not a cheap area of town. Nice clientele though

We were staying at the Waldorf, so this was an easy place to just walk into for a quick dinner. We ate outside, and the setting is very pleasant, although it was so dark you could barely see the food. The service was pretty average and not overly friendly. Given the fantastic location, it rather felt like they were relying on that to get the customers in, rather than good food, service and value.

The atmosphere was excellent, the service was OK but the food was not that good. The salads were OK but the fish was not well prepared.

I just had a wonderful luncheon here with friends. The restaurant is located inside the church's "yard" , it is a wonderful outside restaurant with scenery in Manhattan no less. The food was delicious, service was a bit slow but it was quite busy. There is also a outside bar area for a drink a and a quick snack. I would definitely return here for dinner. Make a reservation so you get a table in the shady (cooler) area, although all the tables have umbrellas. Great location, near St. Patrick's, Rockefeller Center and Sacks.

Highly enjoyed our early evening drinks here. It was extremely busy but we managed to get a seat at the bar in the churchyard of St Barts. It was clearly very popular with "locals" for after work get togethers. It's a rarity in NYC (Manhattan anyway) to find somewhere you can just pop into for a drink and in the open air. Good value too. Loved this place and it's lively atmosphere.

This is such a cool restaurant on the patio of the church! Best place to eat when it's warm outside, and even if it's not, they have heaters. Loved coming here with the family. When you have a bunch of people, and want a view and be outside, hands down, best place on the east side. Food was terrific and so was the wait staff.

Great restaurant with focused service and nice atmosphere. We came across this restaurant by coincidence and we were lucky. My wife had a spring Cobb salat (salat with salmon) while I had the inside bar burger. Both were weary tasty and the service was focused and friendly.

After visiting the Neue Galerie to view the "Woman in Gold" by Gustav Klimt we walked down Park Avenue to check whether the restaurant at St Bart's was still there as we'd been there some years before and it was! Now renamed Inside Park at St Bart's it is still a good place to stop for lunch and watch the world go by along Park Avenue. Good food and good service make this an ideal pitstop to rest ones aching feet!

This is a nice spot to have a glass of wine and have lunch or a quick bite to eat. We had marinated olives, arancini, and Asian chicken salad. Plenty of seating with no wait at lunch time.

Lovely outdoor bar and cafe run by St. Bartholomew's Episcopal church. We stooped for a bit and then ordered the bucatini with peas and pancetta. If i could have licked the plate, I would. Bar well stocked and reasonably priced. Great experience

Visited on a very busy evening last week. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was fairly average but the position of the restaurant made for great people watching.

Fantastic outside venue for drinks and apps for happy hour. Excellent people watching too. Drinks sre really good and tasty appetizers.

I have considered eating inside the former meeting hall in the annex but the space seemed so large and so forbidding that I have never done so. However the Terrace is delightful in the late spring, summer and early fall, not least of all because of the wonderful street scene along Park Avenue. The food itself is also good, upscale American, and my once a month hamburger was cooked to absolute perfection. It's tempting to go back and have a second one in August. After all, there are 31 days in August. :)

We stopped by this place on the way back to the hotel on Lexington after seeing the Christmas lights on 5th Ave. The bartender immediately greeted us and suggested a more private table on the corner for drinks as we were there with our 6 years old son. We only had 1 round of drinks and appetizer but we probably would had stayed there if we didn't have any other plans for the night. Definitely on our radar for our next visit to the City.

What could be better than a club-like atmosphere (without the entrance ritual and the $3500 per year fee) in mid-town Manhattan? A restaurant that has upped its food profile significantly in the last few months, with an incredible wine list and wine dispensary, a reasonably priced and varied menu with the personal touch - that's Inside Park. I've been eating lunch at Inside Park for four or more years - the food has been better than fine, and it's quiet and the service is the best- Paul, the manager makes you feel like a special guest, and Nicole at the reception area is always bright, cheerful and most helpful. Now, on to the atmosphere and the food and service - Inside Park has an outdoor plaza, tented in the winter which is a marvelous after work drink and appetizer hot spot - but not for me. I prefer the inside, once part of St. Bart's church, it still has the wood, brass chandeliers and the architecture of the church. The tables and booths are well spaced so its great for a friendly conversation, to interview a candidate, to close a deal or to squirrel in the corner with your paramour. With the addition of the stage-like upper area, surrounded by a thoughtful selection of fine wines, served by your own waiter and encouraged by the sommelier, you can imagine you're in your favorite ski lodge, country manse or dining in the home of the rich and famous. Now for the food - everything is great, except avoid the burgers, and go with the daily fish specials and salads - my favorite is the Ahi Tuna Salad Nicoise, with its extra rare seared tuna, multicolored radishes, deep black olives, purple onions and blue potatoes, you could be looking at some early 20th century French cubist composition or transported to the southern coast of France. The dinner menu now has a pappardelle with a lusty meat sauce that is as good as anything I've had in Bologna - fragrant, rich, perfect consistency - and pair it with one of their many Barolos or Barbarescos on the wine list. I've thought twice about writing this review - I like the private atmosphere and don't want it packed every time I visit. But Paul and Nicole will always treat me like it's my own private eating establishment, so I should worry. And you should go!

Inside Park is part of St Bart's church and has an conservatory area at the front and a more formal dining room inside. Drinks are reasonably priced and the small food menu has something for every taste and appetite. Great location, easy to find - a great pit stop for a shopping trip.

This is a great place if you want to have lunch outside while in the city. The staff was very friendly & attentive & the food was very good. The chicken wrap was fantastic and the service was quick. If the weather is nice it is a great place to eat & visit with friends.

I find it creepy that a church is a restaurant. But we had just checked out of the Waldorf next door, it was pouring rain and we needed to eat lunch before we got on the train, so we went in for lunch. The food was not bad, I had lobster mac and cheese, it was good, I forgot what my kids had but we got the cookie platter for dessert, that was supposed to be an assortment of old fashioned homemade cookies, that was laughable. The waiter smelled so horrifically bad that I had to refrain from eating until his smell dissipated, this was inconvenient because it took awhile for the smell to subside and he came to the table many times. I felt like I participated in a place of worship being defiled by eating there, so I wouldn't go back. But I have to give it a three stars because my food was not bad.

Daughter and I booked and came here for 'Thanksgiving' dinner. Starters of pickled veg, corn bread & sausage. Then squash soup, with apple & caramalised onions. (Absolute show stopper, delicious). Main was turkey (White & brown meat), sweet potato, mash, vegetables, mushrooms, etc etc. What a plateful! Finished off with spiced pumpkin pie! Albeit I didn't eat it all, as we'd been up at 5.00am to get a good view of Macy's Thanksgiving Parade! The food, service etc all were delicious, and daughter thoroughly enjoyed her first 'Thanksgiving' meal. Would definitely recommend this place, and look forward to returning.

called in en speck, looked pretty cool place to be, really busy and had music playing. managed to get a table, staff looked pretty scarce however the ones we saw were really hard working but the place was definitely understaffed? food was ok but nothing special. looks like a venue nearby office workers end their day.

The server was extremely difficult to understand, he left our utensils on the table after our first course and removed items at odd times. He didn't refill water glasses. Come on, people, basic stuff. The Food was EXCELLENT. We had the special of Branzini, it was tasty.

They have a nice room but everything else about our dinner was extremely disappointing. The wait staff is inexperienced and made multiple mistakes. The bar couldn't get our drinks out and when they did two of the three were wrong and had to be redone (they never did get it right). The menu is limited. Several of us ordered burgers just to be on the safe side. Despite ordering medium burgers all four came rare. They came with the wrong sides. They were redone and came back black and poorly seasoned. They are priced at a premium but were inedible. The manager tried to help out but it was pretty clear that the reason the entire restaurant staff were inexperienced or just second rate had everything to do with management itself. This is a place best avoided until another operator takes over this lovely space.

A nice outdoor patio with a tent right on Park Avenue. I went with my date for drinks only. He's a beer person and he enjoyed some kind of German beer. I am a wine person and the red wine I ordered was really good. It was not a crowded Wednesday. A great place to go with co-workers after work. I understand they are opened the whole year. We found an empty couch and had a nice time chatting away. Definitely a place that we would visit again.

Was a surprising find, a great spot to eat outside, but elevated and far away from traffic...the atmosphere was energetic yet comfortable. They didn't rush you through your meal and the service was attentive. Prices were not astronomical either! Overall, a great find along Park Ave and perfect spot to have lunch or dinner on a sunny day. The bucatini was fabulous as was the arancini. My husband also enjoyed his steak frites. The menu had a little something for everyone...from salads to burgers to pasta and duck!

Nice location when the sun is shining...although you do pay for the location! Excellent and friendly service from the waiting staff.

What a little oasis of calm, great location and a great, great place to people watch. Good choice of cocktails at the bar and great restaurant service staff very friendly explaining the relationship with the church. If you are in the neighbourhood well worth a vist

Nice wine list with good sized lunch menu. Waitstaff knowledgeable and efficient. Great Cuban sandwich!

Stopped by here for a late lunch and drinks. Very relaxing, laid back, and nice spot on the grounds of St. Bart's. The place was very convenient to our hotel (right across the street). Will go back again when in that area.

Nice enough setting, but food was overpriced, salad portions very small, Mac and cheese for kids too rich to eat. Very expensive, and we were rushed to move off our table, as well as warned they do not tolerant lateness.

The name of this restaurant is actually called "Inside Park at St. Bart's" (I will try and get Tripadvisor to correct) and the reason that is the name is that this restaurant is located at St. Bartholomew's (Episcopal) Church! This is no church cafeteria, though -- it's a full-on professional restaurant where you can make reservations on OpenTable. While there is an indoor dining room, we were seated in a large plastic tent on the "patio" of the church. I've passed this many times during the summer and know that once the weather allows they take down the tent and put up umbrellas and this becomes real patio dining outdoors. It's right next to the ornate church building, so it's a very cool setting, right on Park Ave., next door to the Waldorf Astoria (under renovation) and kitty-corner across from the Colgate-Palmolive building. I tend to expect that when a dining venue is particularly unique (and thus attracts folks for that reason alone) the food and service underwhelm. But we were pleasantly surprised. We had a very energetic and attentive waitress. My Asian chicken salad was super fresh, well-prepared and flavorful. The crepe ricotta cake we split was toothsome and yummy. The only thing that disappointed was the iced coffee (eh). All in all we thought it was a really good lunch and talked about how it'd be a great place to bring visitors, but we'll probably return when those umbrellas come out.

Went for lunch and it was great . I had the impossible burger, my daughter had the chicken pesto ciabatta. Both were delicious. It was a great day for outdoor but protected dining

I've given this an average review as I don't think it's fair to be less or more critical on having drinks only. Greeting staff were very good and were happy for us to have drinks only, even though it was during the lunch period. I ordered a Modelo beer seeing it was on draft and a Belgian non-alcohol beer. The young bartender informed us they didn't sell Modelo. When I pointed out the beer pump he simply said, 'Oh.Ok'. He also informed us they didn't have the Belgian non-alcoholic beer, so I ordered a lemonade. A couple of minutes later he shouted from the bar that they did actually have it. Except they didn't and he brought across a Becks Blue (vile stuff). Now this sounds nit-picking of the highest order, but why assume one non-alcoholic drink is just the same as another - would you bring someone a Guinness when they asked for a Brooklyn Lager? It was the attitude more than the drinks I think which is a shame to base an experience on an individual. They did provide free snack which was nice, and the food others were having looked pretty good, hence the middling review. I may just be getting grumpy in my old non-alcohol drinking years...

This is a lovely venue with great outdoor and indoor space. Except on a hot day like today, the inside space was NOT air conditioned. I don't know if this was a malfunctioning system or the norm, but it was a very uncomfortable meal. Be sure to call ahead if you want to eat inside on a warm day.

The food is average but passes muster. The service similar. I had a black bean burger and the server asked how I wanted it done. Seems this is a training issue. Although not outstanding, the food was filling and satisfactory. It was also reasonably priced for the high priced Manhattan environment. The setting is nice: we sat outside and watched the Park Avenue world go by. Afterward, we stepped inside beautiful St Bart's Church into a lovely oasis of peacefulness and spirituality. This place is a solid bet for a filling meal.

Decided to try this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews and the menu posted outside. Went on Sunday but gates closed although no mention of it being closed on menu board outside. Returned Monday and welcomed in by the manager who said she was running a limited menu but did not offer a reason for this. We said OK although in retrospect should have declined and left. The establishment was virtually empty, an ominous sign which we should have heeded. Menu was essentially the starters and cocktails from the full posted menu, from which we chose dishes to share from while the waiter stood over us impatiently. Food arrived quite quickly and was of a reasonable standard. We declined any dessert or coffee and the bill, with a reminder that a gratuity was not included, appeared almost instantaneously with the waiter returning within minutes looking for payment despite the fact that we had not finished our drinks. We paid in cash and when the change came the waiter had written on the bill "customary gratuity 20%". I am happy to tip well for good service but this place could learn a lot about service from other NYC establishments and telling the customer how much to leave is somewhat cheeky. We will not be returning.

Just across the street from Waldorf Towers, this is a convenient place to wait for the car out to JFK. Quick, attentive service, good snacks and a wide choice of wines.

This place is a hidden gem. A huge outdoor terrace in front of the old St Bartholomew's church on Park Ave at 50th st. The terrace has a good bar on one side and plenty of restaurant tables on the other - perfect for a summer evening and well set back from the noisy traffic which often spoils outdoor dining in NY. Limited but appealing menu, but my choice of chicken milanaise was excellent. Wine options and prices were also very reasonable contributing to a very enjoyable and well priced evening out! Highly recommended if you are staying in midtown.

My wife and I have eaten here several times and always enjoy it. Most recently we were there just before Christmas, an amazing time to be in New York. The restaurant is with St Bart's and there is a lovely little park in front. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The ambiance is warm and inviting. It's right on Park Ave near the Waldorf and just about everything.

This is a classy yet casual place to eat in Midtown. Nestled on a raised patio area beside St. Bart's church, it's a lively, vibrant place to eat while viewing the action on Park Avenue. They pour a nice glass of wine for starters. And the food is simply delicious. Try the fish tacos with homemade chips on the side. Or the pastrami sandwich, complete with fries and/or salad and wonderfully pickled veggies on the side. Salads and entrees are awesome too. Service is attentive and friendly and the whole experience is wonderful. After you eat, take a walk through the beautiful St. Bart's Church and the chapel.

We didn't eat here just wanted somewhere close to our hotel until room ready. Very hot so sat in the sun and had a beer and took in the traffic and people passing which is always fun. If we had more time wanted to return in evening so maybe next trip?

I'd pre booked a Thanksgiving meal at Inside Park for me and my wife. Found the surroundings to be nice, I was glad to be inside the church rather than the terrace covered area. The food itself was quite nice and in decent portions but unfortunately it was just delivered too quickly. I understand they'd likely made the Thanksgiving set menu in advance to aid with serving guests, but we felt we weren't allowed any time in between courses to let the food settle. This left us feeling over faced and bloated so by the time the main course came we couldn't finish it. It wasn't busy either so it couldn't be to turn tables quickly. The service itself was good with the waiter very nice and welcoming. I can't say if the frequency of the food service happens day in day out, but when you consider we were in and out in an hour for a four course menu, you can see it was rushed.

I chose this restaurant based on a recommendation from a colleague. It is a very open, quiet, and spacious place. It is somewhere where you feel that your conversation is private. They were very gracious in accommodating me as I had made a mistake on the reservation date. I had the pumpkin ravioli which was nice (al dente, not too much sauce, pumpkin flavor came through) but I wouldn't say it was special enough to go back for it. I would try St. Bart's again if in the area and would love to just stop in for a drink in warmer months.

Upon walking inside it seemed that the restaurant was nothing more than a large sunny room with a bar. We followed the host into another room that had the feel of a private club. That is where we ate. The fish special was quite good. Bass with a sundried tomato sauce, baby bok choy and golden beets. Nice combination. My fellow diners had a kale salad with grilled salmon and a pastrami sandwich. Both enjoyed their lunch. Service was accommodating. The prices were standard for a city restaurant. I understand the place has a big happy hour crowd. Worth a visit.

Great location - sit outside on a warm evening and look up at the buildings and stars. Food is average but very special outside dining.

Only get the cocktails. Fun vibes but mid food. We got the chicken skewers and truffle fries (they were ok…) The exterior is so cute, I went with a friend for happy hour on a Friday at 6. Don’t sit near the bushes though, the gnats / bugs are the worst!

This is a great restaurant to visit while in NYC, next door to the Waldorf Astoria, food and wine options are excellent at a good price. It also has an a amazing view of Park Avenue. There are good options for kids to eat. Would definetly recommend!

I have been here before on a previous visit so decided to take my daughter. It does get really busy as seems to be what alot of the locals use for lunch but we were not waiting long. Service is really good and very efficient. We had a pizza that was really nice and a decent one with nice ingredients. Although a side salad wasn't on the menu they still made one for us that came out in a large dish with loads fresh salad and some fries. What we had was really tasty and a definite one to try.

I've been there twice, for lunch. First time in July, on a sunny warm day, and the terrace was really a plus, and I didn't notice anything bad with the food, even if nothing really good neither, service with was nice... The second time I returned, was by winter and the atmosphere was really different, service very cold and slow, but, mostly, food (a spinach salad) was really bad, there was something wrong with the dressing or I don't know what, but taste was strange, and not in a good way, and it took me hours to digest, feeling nauseated and full, jsut because of a spinach salad?! I won't go back a third time...

My second visit in NYC Love the venue Love the menu , esp a nice kids menu and I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old , perfect The only thing about it that stops me giving a 5 star rather than a 4 star, is the service. Don't get me wrong . The manager was great but he is let down by the staff i came across. Constantly had to ask them to clear the table . Not very attentive Maybe I expect too much or maybe they were having an off day Would i book again YES for sure

While it took a bit long for our food to be delivered, the Veggie Paninis were fantastic. Service was good. Setting is nice.

thank you including a restaurant with your Church and welcoming us. The food was great and reasonably priced. We visited you last Saturday the 11th July 20015. It was my son's birthday - he has been married for some years with four children and invited to take me to New York for his birthday and to mark his birth with me. His lovely wife was thrilled with his idea and your generous hospitality and fast and friendly service, on a blisteringly hot day was a great site to rest outside in the shade. We noticed you are usually packed out, so felt extremely lucky to find a few spare places to sit. Hope to return one day.....

Been here before when in NewYork so decided to visit again. Great, lively place. Staff were great and food very good. Great situation on Park Avenue next to the Waldorf (which is being refurbished at the moment). Definitely worth a visit.

Inside Park is essentially a restaurant in a tent in the courtyard of a church. The tent had a clear roof so you could look out and see the sights; it was a beautiful spring day so I really enjoyed that. Food was good; everyone at my table was pleased with their lunch. The restaurant was very busy but we managed to not have to wait for a table; I think we may have just gotten lucky.

Located in the shadow of the impressive St Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Midtown Manhattan is this out door cafe, with a large bar on one side. This place is hopping at lunch time. Unfortunately, even though we made a reservation we had to wait ten minutes before being seated. Fortunately, we ended up in a quiet section in the shade. The menu includes salads, burgers, small plate dishes, pizza, and a few large plate options. I had the salmon large plate serving. My mate chicken in a salad of greens. Her small plate was rather large. My salmon was on a bed of seasoned rice and a substantial portion. The fish was close to tasteless. The prices are reasonable by midtown NY standards.

Beautiful weather and great company contributed to the lovely lunch I had at Inside Park. We chose the restaurant because one of my lunch companions works a block away, it was a birthday lunch for my other companion, and it was a PERFECT weather day. The outside seating area is half in the shade and half under umbrellas. There is a large outside bar that is shaded. Unlike many restaurants in New York, I didn't feel like we were sitting elbow to elbow with the other guests at the restaurant. Between the three of us, we ordered two asian chicken salads, a seared tuna salad, and an order of flat bread to share. Two of us had a glass of rosé and the wine list was reasonably impressive. The salads were fine, although not amazing. The flat bread and spreads were delicious -- one spread was ratatouille, another was made from roasted red peppers, and the third was a tapenade. They were the perfect accompaniment to our salads. While I didn't eat the bread, one of my companions finished the basket, remarking that it was very good. I am not sure I would return to Inside Park -- only because there are so many great places to eat in NYC. But for the day we visited, Inside Park was perfect.

I know this is run by the church and I know some people go here to help out the church but I have been here serval times and it has always been "average" for a good cause. But this lunch, I ordered the Chicken dish under large plates and my god! it was the worst meal i have had in many many years. I didn't say anything to the management because my guest pick the location so i didn't want to make him feel bad. Whatever you do, if you go hear, don't order anything other than a sandwich!

I was invited here for a Happy Hour Cocktail Party and it was truly lovely!!! There was an awesome selection of hors d'oeuvres, and the outdoor patio itself is a really pretty space. They have an interesting presentation of the very popular Moscow Mule, it comes in a copper mug and is a light, refreshing take on vodka. Matt, the server assigned to our party, was a ROCK STAR!!! He was incredibly attentive and always three steps ahead of everyone on refills. His elegant, gracious service was marvelous! The tables in our area were constantly cleared of debris and when some of the guests requested additional appetizers, Matt magically made it happen. It was a perfect way to spend a few hours on an August evening! Merci beaucoup Matt for taking EXCELLENT care of our group. Kudos to the chef(s) for tasty food! Yes...I highly recommend this place. Hurry up and GO while you can be outside, even though they have an interior dining space.

Loved the location and energy but had slow service outside. Would recommend sitting inside if dining on a chilly evening as food gets cold fast. Would definitely recommend happy hour and appetizers on the patio, great vibe.

I took my friend here for her birthday. The food did not disappoint. I very much appreciate fresh crab meat without much bread crumbs! My friend was happy with her lentil soup and veggie Panini as well. The ambience in their outdoor sitting is much better than indoors, where we were in October. It was a sunny day but a bit cold for me.

Had lunch with my daughter and was pleasantly surprised as she said it usually is known for happy hour enjoyment. We both had the power salad bowl with grilled salmon and it was delicious. Had cauliflower and quinoa and other veggies and was very filling and full of flavor. Service was great and nice atmosphere. Solid local midtown place to dine and reasonably priced.

Good, quality food with just an amazing atmosphere and view. The bar area seemed very popular. You can't pass up trying this unique restaurant experience!

This review is based on happy hour category, less on food category. What a crowd! I can't believe that I couldn't even walk. The heat was a killer and having a DJ didn't help either. It's 2016, I would like to suggest a cooler mister or misting fan or an igloo or something. Please! Get the cooler mister already. If you can get a DJ, you can get something cool. It would make me want to stay for dinner after. It's an alumni networking event. Good luck trying to listen to students speaking about the program, the company, the career, the job, the best of the best while dripping wet. Btw, I don't read lips. Hors d'oeuvre went around but saw only one type: mini burgers and a lot of them. The bartender was pretty good, paid attention and noticed when I was waiting with my folding fan. So ok, when a place gets too crowded like this the best place to go is inside the building. I thought I was the only one feeling hot but it seemed like many were kinda sweaty. It's really no fun to be outside in the heat in a dress and suit for some. I get it, it's a business school, but sweating is really not going to be good for business, maybe in the air conditioning business, maybe come-up with a good idea to put people together. It seemed like everybody's a brain-trust, let's see whether anyone's listening. I dined here in the early 2000, also in the summer time, but wasn't so hot, so I had a great time. I remember the food was good but that was a long time ago. This time hors d'oeuvre was ok, I tried it, nothing special. If you have to eat here, dine inside. This is not the only place you can enjoy an evening surrounded by great buildings but this is a good location to go to. If you happen to pass by and want to try this place, make sure there's no event going on. Good place for happy hour but too uncomfortable during the summer.

I first visited this restaurant when it was located inside of the old St Barts building. It was a really neat experience to be in a church having drinks and dessert. This year when I visited, there was a very large tent outside of the entrance used for dining. We had dinner there and really enjoyed it. Our waiter was super friendly and the service was superb. We will definitely be back!!!

St. Barts has a huge outdoor area overlooking Park Ave, great for happy hour in the warmer months. It can be very crowded at times, but fun. Crowd us all ages, but a lot of 20somethings here. It can be amusing to watch all of the younger suits pretending they are CEOs and drinking Moscow Mules. ☺

This is an awesome spot to meet friends after work, relax, and unwind. The atmosphere is fun and trendy, while the scenery is gorgeous. The food is tasty, but not the best of the best in the city. It is a super happening place for young professionals to meet up and chill after a long day at the office. I would go back for the atmosphere — outside dining next to a pretty church and great people-watching. Read more about my experience here: http://www.ginapacelli.com/2014/05/26/nyc-inside-park-at-st-barts/

A beautiful environment and good food, but the service is pretty spotty. When we went there, there was a fairly loud, irritating event of people standing next to the tables; we’re not sure if it was a corporate event (in which case it may have just been our bad luck) or part of the restaurant’s regular operations.

Let me start by saying we had beautiful weather which made dining outdoors a real treat. They had a descent wine list and the food was good. The first day we had a seafood pasta dish and turkey club that were both excellent. The second visit we ordered the popular lobster roll which we would not get again - don't recommend. Lots of other good items on the menu though!

The menu is not large, but the food is delicious and - best of all - it is outdoor dining slightly elevated from the traffic on Park Avenue. Don't forget to take a look inside the beautiful church as well.

We had Thanksgiving Dinner there and it was very good. We ate in the terrace, which was tented off and had some heating. It did get a little chilly at the end of the night. The food was traditional Thanksgiving food...very tasty! The icing on the cake was the desserts, we had one of each an oh my...so good! My husband balked at the $450 bill (for 5 with a bottle of win, 18% gratuity included) but we were in NYC and many restaurants were MUCH more expensive. Food was served family style.

We only ate hamburgers but they were good and the server was attentive. It was outdoor dining and they took the necessary precautions for safety. It is a nice area and good to just eat and relax.

The food is amazing. I had the pork chop, which I am still dreaming about. I haven't had another one cooked that perfectly since, and I keep trying. My son had the chicken and waffles, and he is going through the same thing. Our meals were truly memorable. He keeps asking if we can go back to St. Bart's the next time we are in NYC. I keep saying yes! The only reason I am not giving it 5 points, is because the acoustics are not good in a dining situation. Then again, it is an old church…with really great food.

Second year in a row that we had lunch here and always satisfied... Good choice of classic american(caesar, burgers,...). Good wines by glass, good cocktails. Very pleasant service

Recently dined here with out-of-town friends on a Saturday evening, mildly surprised that there were few people and a lot of empty tables. Service was prompt and courteous, food was OK but nothing spectacular, a bit pricey for what it is. A unique experience though as you're dining out beside a huge church right in the middle of Park Avenue looking at the Waldorf Astoria and the buildings on Park. How much more New York City "feeling" will you get with that? Would recommend if only for the location and probably more interesting during lunch hour on a work week.

We noticed this restaurant on our visit to St. Bart's and thought it looking interesting. Being as how you could eat outdoors and it was listed on Open Door. The evening started with two glasses of Prosecco, very good start. We started with the Calamari appetizer; this was delicious. We had the soup of the day which was very good. We didn't want a lot to eat so we decided to just have salads. My wife had the Caprese Salad. She loved it. I chose the Caesar Salad with chicken. This was a real disappointment. The dressing was not traditional and the chicken was dry. Other than this the meal was very good. I would try it again but maybe not the Caesar Salad.

Had a very nice meal here inside the building, which is much more quiet and subdued than outside. Very nice atmosphere. Not really elegant, but somewhat majestic as fitting a church. The food was all fairly good: short ribs (that could have used more sauce), crab cakes and an okay burger with great french fries. The hamburger did not come out right two times and they graciously comped it. Not only that but they gave us some dessert wine too. Kudos for the friendliness and service of the staff. The Italian cookie plate was very good, and I am not usually a great fan of that. Unfortunately they were out of the cheesecake. I will go back again.

The venue is nice, it is a nice outdoor space around one of the nicest churches in NYC. However, the bar and drinks are horrible. Three of us stopped in to discuss business over a drink. It wasn't crowded yet no one came close to our table- and we were right next to the bar. When someone finally came we waited again for the drinks to be served. The waiter reached over me to serve- a big no-no- and of course, he spilled the drink on my legs. He barely even cared. The drinks themselves were small and awful. After tasting my Bloody Mary I was happy it was small. However after all this, the Worst part was yet to come- the BILL! Incredibly overpriced. Really bad. There are better outdoor choices in the City. Pass on this place.

We loved it here. Food was delicious, as were the cocktails. The ambience was wonderful, very cool place steeped in history. We had 3 courses and cocktails and were not disappointed with any. Well worth a visit, middle of the range price, 3 courses with bottle of wine and cocktails for 2 priced at abt $200

The food and drink were impeccable. They also tasted good. Service was excellent, but not intrusive.

We ate here four times over a three day stay at the Waldorf, which is just across the street. We kept coming back and recommended it to other people in our group because of the quality food, friendly service, and atmosphere. We really enjoyed the experience of eating outdoors, in the courtyard of St.Bart's, and with Park Avenue views. We never had reservations and were seated right away. Everyone was friendly including the hostess and our waitress Eva. We ordered the salad and pizza which were good for a light dinner Friday night. Saturday, both types of chicken dishes we ordered were fresh and flavorful. Sunday the burger and fries were delicious. Yummy food, good quality, friendly service. Would go again and recommend to others.

What a place to eat ! Great vibe Great location excellent food and good for kids also ! I would recommend booking this place for visitors to Manhattan

Called in here as it was very close to the Waldorf Hotel. The inside was a converted church and the inside was amazing. The food we had (Chicken Sandwich)was the best we had eaten and tasted for along time. Tried to return but was booked for a private party. Would recommend this restaurant.

After work almost every evening in good weather a couple of hundred of the pretty people drop by for meet and greet, drinks, chatter. But for old guys like me the open air restaurant it is time to relax, watch and have a good meal. (along with lots of other dinners)

we were driving home to Ohio so we stopped here to get something quick to eat it was next to our hotel the food took for ever we had a hamburger, how difficult could that be the waitress we very friendly, but it took way to long to get our food is not the best place to got, should have had a hot dog from teh vendor on teh corner

We loved Inside Park at St Bart's. My mom (50) and I (21) had evening or afternoon drinks here multiple times before heading out for dinner. The beautiful patio was perfect.

Inside park, is actually the side terrace of the historic St. Barts Church on Fifth ave. It is a great place to dine alfresco in good weather!! You feel like you are almost dining in a small piazza in Italy. The food is good, not great with emphasis on salads and sandwiches. There are some entree items. We had 2 salads which were very nice. You are here because of the location and terrace. There is a fun outdoor bar which does make very nice drinks. Great break from shopping on Fifth or Madison!!!

Thanksgiving meal with the family was great. The food selections were delicious versions of the traditional thanksgiving meal. The staff was helpful with a member of our group with food allergies.

Just had lunch (table for one) at Inside Park - great setting on Park Avenue - hear birdsong above the traffic noise - nice. Asked for a table in the shade & was seated quickly - at 1:30ish. Service was great - waitress, water boys etc - efficient and friendly. Ordered the Salad Nicoise. Forgot the 'don't order fish on a Monday' rule....but ahi tuna was fine. Just a sad presentation.....bib lettuce, potatoes, beans, egg & tomato - all stuffed onto a round soup bowl.....had to dig for each item - just not appealing.....have had the salad many places (and serve it at home)......note to chef.....would be a nice presentation on an oval platter or even a dinner plate. But a nice lunch overall - sitting in the sun, sipping a glass of wine, people watching.

An old Church that has been converted into a private venue. Magical place that is elegant and transforms beautifully to suit your occasion. We had a great night. Excellent location as well.

On a warm evening in the city then you want to be outside. This is an excellent option in Midtown. A busy, fun atmosphere out on the terrace with a view of Park Ave. The bar food is good. A great place to grab a drink after work.
Unique New York on-street bistro experience!
This is a great place to eat with good service and good food, but above all it's a unique eating experience in this city as it's openair, street level, with nothing above except the New York skyline soaring above and all around! Where else in this land-hungry city can you enjoy such a restaurant experience? We loved the feeling of being in a restaurant but still being outside and enjoying the buzz of the city all around, yet still seeing sky above! Great place!
