Three friends and I stopped in about 11:30 to have lunch before our matinee of Come from Away. We noticed that the place was nearly empty, which usually is not a good sign. But we decided to take our chances and we were delighted we did. One friend and I had the turkey sandwich, I with sweet potato fries and she with regular fries. Both of us found our sandwiches delicious and our fries prepared perfectly. Our friends both ordered the roasted beet salad and declared it delicious. We all enjoyed our various drinks. The service was timely and extremely friendly. When I received only artificial sweeteners for my iced tea, they brought real sugar as soon as I mentioned it. We felt that we were very lucky to find the Iron Bar and were surprised that it wasn't busier. It certainly deserves to be. Next time I'm in the theater district in NYC I'll make a point to go back to the Iron Bar.

Sports bar i think. Very loud music and hopefully you already know the one your with. I hope the second hand smoke from the hookah next to me is legal. There are several TV screens, and the music is blaring so loud my ears are vibrating. Its New York City!

For a city that never sleeps, it sure is difficult to find food after 1am! Don’t get me wrong, lots of hard open, but they don’t have their kitchens open. Iron Bar does until 2am. The burgers and tacos were delicious and on point! The atmosphere was great and it was easy to get a seat when we wandered in! Service was even great and friendly! I highly recommend!

Had some nice flatbread and an awesome steak salad! Cooked well. Massive salad. Would definitely go back for the salad alone!

I really enjoyed my visit to the Iron Bar. After the marathon i was exhausted. And my server was very accomodating and friendly. The picture she took of me with my medal was actually my lead pic of my Insta post summarizing the day and leading for other pics. The cheeseburger and fries were awesome and the atmosphere IB had made for good convo with other people around me as well.

We just happened to stumble in after a long day of running around the city. Food was good and portions are large. The server was attentive and helpful. Great ending to A long day.

Best service and great ambience here. I've eaten here several occasions during my trip and each meal has been delicious. Kobe sliders 8th ave burger Grilled chicken pizza 👌👌👌

I waited 20 minutes and a pint for being introduced to a paper tasting greasy burger which name should be the object of a lawsuit by fellow 8th Avenue neighbors. After two bites I gave up.The fries tasted as if fried in diesel oil. Service is slow verging absenteeism. Bad and thus expensive meal.

After work, pre-theatre drinks and dinner. Was alright, with quality of food just ok. Service could have been more attentive for sure. Lively bar and good atmosphere. Best thing going is location...8th and 45th with some good people watching and lots of action passing by. So on a nice day, with the big doors pulled open, it's not bad.

Exited a Broadway matinee in search of a beer, and saw on our phones that a Women's World Cup match was going to extra time; stepped in here because it was the first place we could find with posters outside indicating they show soccer. Unfortunately it took the staff more than 15 minutes to take a drink order and more than 20 to change one of the TV screens in the empty back lounge area to the game we cared about. After all that, the manager indignantly tried to tell me that the back screen had been on FRA-BRA all along (I know gaslighting is becoming a national pastime, but come on). We did eventually enjoy pints off a pretty robust beer list, but between the steep prices and seriously problematic service, I won't come back here.

I should've ordered drinks only. I enjoyed the location of the bar but the food was a disappointment. I should've ordered drinks only.

We stopped in after seeing Ain't Too Proud to Beg on Broadway and had an excellent Cubano plus wings and cocktails. The music was great as well, mostly 90s. I only finished half but the Cubano and fries heated up well in the oven.

This is a lively bar restaurant, the food is merely ok , the decor typical sports bar, service poor, bar staff more interested in chatting to each other than serving customers, forgetting drinks ordered taking time to serve you etc... This could be a great bar in a great location but it seems to rely too much on its location. If you're not in a hurry and looking for some sports to watch then this'll do but don't expect too much.

Unless you like being accused of being a thief..... from UK. It is my wife's 40th birthday trip and we were watching the England v Colombia game in the sofa area. At the request of a waitress we made room for three young asian women and they proceeded to use some of the coffee table in front of the large sofa we shared for their food and drink. After a period of a couple of hours these women suddenly got up and left. We thought nothing of it until we were approached by the manager with accusations of THEFT! Claiming we had picked up the money left by these women for their bill. Tried to show my wife the CCTV showing her leaning over the coffee table and picking something up...it was not clear and in truth was my wife picking up a bottled drink...no evidence and totally outraged at the accusation we decided to leave....manager suddenly offered to provide some free drinks....we accepted.....but then left on principle. My wife clearly upset at this point! Fine way to treat visitors to your city!

We stopped in here on a whim before a show for dinner and it was great! Seated quickly in the lounge area and had salads and quesadillas. Service was quick and dessert was also delicious!

Service was slow to non existent. Had to flag down people for drinks. Music was too loud, playing 90’s pop hits, unable to talk. Tables and chairs were sticky and not clean.

Stumbled upon this place. WHAT A FIND! We wanted a casual atmosphere with great food and got it. Loved all of the TV's with various sports on them. All tables are high top (Love). Party of 3 and all of our food was great. One of us got the Kobe Stuffed Burger - Big, delicious and REASONABLY PRICED! Also got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Great taste and they had no issue with me switching out the type of cheese offered. Great NYC Experience. Also good variety of beers :)

Went here two times while visiting. We were staying close by. Beers were $7 and up, but cold and tasty. I ordered one of the chicken/jalapeno pizzas and it did not disappoint. I was told it was personal sized (for about $13) but it was more than I could eat and wonderful. Of course I love anything with a little kick. My friend had the Cuban sandwich and it was wonderful as well. The music is great, but know there are a lot of hookah smokers. It did not bother me, but suppose it could some. Service was speedy and our server was friendly.

My boyfriend and I stopped off here having arrived in NY only an hour before. We were seated straight away on a good sized table. The menu was small but adequate and the options were good. Service was good and my burger was cooked as I ordered (so well done it borders on burnt). Good range of beers and good decor.

This was our second visit to this bar and I still found it very good. The drinks were good, the food was good, the atmosphere was also good. If you want a good feed and a drink without the hassle, this is the right bar for you. Also, plenty of tv’s to watch sport!

Loved this bar. The bar tenders were all very friendly and the service was superb. We were in NY for a Fleet visit on Memorial weekend so there were lts of Sailors and Marines in the bar, all of whom were friendly and polite.

I can't remember how many times we went there, but it's always good. We usually go for lunch to eat the specials. The hamburger a the beer of the day are delicious. Bread is soft and tasty, unless the last time it was a little dry. The fries... I love those fries! At lunch time we can find a seat easily because they have a big room. The price is very good. I think it is a nice vibe for lunch.

A nice place to have a great time with friends. I think maybe that's it's more on the quiet end of the spectrum and they tolerated our shenanigans very well.

Lovely atmosphere. We visited a few times as it was found the corner from our hotel, staff were very helpful and friendly recommending cocktails and adapting them to our needs. Food was lovely and the door staff were great we will definitely return the next time we visit New York.

I visited Iron Bar with my daughter for a pre show meal. We only had 2 cokes, mozzarella sticks and a pizza between us. The food was okay and the server seemed nice but busy. I was brought the bill at the end of the meal. My total was juat over 35 dollars. My card was taken and a bill brought back to me for 78.10 dollars!!! I queried this, the Waitress apologised profusely, promised she would refund the initial transaction and I (in hindsight, stupidly) paid the correct bill. We were in a hurry to leave for the theatre so though no more if it until I saw on my bank statement that both transactions had been taken from my account. I have completed 3 online enquiry forms, tried to call the bar directly (voicemail) and tried contacting them through social media. This is an unauthorised transaction and all I want is my money back. I feel this is unlikely to happen. We saved hard for this holiday. It was a trip of a lifetime for my daughters birthday and the rest of NYC was very good to us. I can't help but feel a little 'mugged off' by Iron Bar who clearly have no intention of giving me my money back. The most expensive pizza I have ever had!

We stayed at the Riu Hotel and this restaurant was just down the street. The turkey (real turkey) and avocado sandwich was delicious and was plenty big. Beer was cold and prices were good.

Good location in Hell’s Kitchen area, close to Time’s Square. Great food, good prices & very good service. Lots to choose from on the menu. The music could be toned down a bit since it’s hard to hold a conversation.

When I went there they were having a special for an entrée and house beer for $10. I chose the grilled cheese which was absolutely amazing. The house beer was gross, but it was probably an acquired taste. The service was horrible. The waitress did the bare minimum. She took our order and brought us our food. That is it. I had to have a person track her down, so I could get the bill. The service is why I gave it only 3 stars.

This was near our hotel. They kindly tolerate children at the tables so we went most afternoons for a post sightseeing strengthener 😂 Menu is family friendly. Staff very pleasant.

Stopped here for a quick dinner on the way to MSG. Nice vice to the place with a very relaxed atmosphere that could descend into a party at any time. Lots of beer options as well as multiple TV's around to watch a range of sports. Food was good, nice burger had and service was good but not the best we had whilst in the city.

Very large bar/restaurant: nice spot and friendly staff. Just a few choices on the menu and really just the bar food you would expect. My friend cannot walk well and the waiter was very attentive.

My wife and i ate in here with our baby girl for lunch one day on our visit to NYC, the food itself was pretty good but the service could have been a bit better.

Went to Iron Bar for an after work gathering. The service from the manager down to the drink service was fantastic. The food variety was typical bar food but the nachos were vary tasty. The fired egg on top was an added treat.

Called for drinks before meal next door, only 1 person serving but she had it all in hand - talk about multi tasking! Enjoyable and would go again, good choice of drinks.

Great little find. Waitresses are very friendly and the overall atmosphere is great. Lots of locals visit this bar so it’s a true NY gem. Aviation cocktail recommended

Great atmosphere and food. The Juicy Lucy burger rocked. Fries are excellent. Ok for older kids but probably not youngsters. Hookah lounge in the back.

Six of us traveled to NYC via Amtrak from Erie, PA and stayed across the street from Iron Bar in ROW. This was our first stop after getting settled. The service was good, we enjoyed our time there. We are all in our 70's but enjoy the night life! It was a little loud, but we had a good time!

We stopped by at this place after 12am. The atmosphere is great and the bar has a nice interior. You can choose a variety of beers and drinks as well as a couple snacks. We enjoyed a couple of beers and pizza. Prices are reasonable. I would visit the Iron Bar again.

We enjoyed this bar 4 days of our 4 day trip. Relaxing, friendly and inexpensive, welcomed for just drinks with our teens. Lots of draft beer on offer (happy husband) nice wine.

I really enjoyed the music they were playing, mostly classic rock. Fun atmosphere. The service was good. The waitstaff was very attentive and checked on us several times. The food portions were generous, but lacking flavor. I thought it was expensive for both the food and drinks... but it's New York, Times Square. To be expected, I suppose.

Hostess was really rude. Service was terrible. Food was just average. Stopped in before matinee. The burgers were fair. The fries were awful. We will not be back.

Went into this bar and part of the group having gone to the bar to buy a drink, the rest were directed to a table. We then had a server coming to take a drink order we informed him the rest of the group were already at the bar buying a drink. We were then verbally harangued, told in no certain terms that we should be going to the bar to buy a drink but get an order from him. When the two returned with the drinks, the server came over and went through exactly the same - telling them in no certain terms to go to the bar again and get a drink but to order through him next time. Needlessly to say we finished and left. I don't go to a bar for a drink to be verbally abused by a member of staff.

We had their Iron IPA -- quite nice. Decent cocktails. Very atmospheric. The furnishings are very cool and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

This restaurant was down the street from our hotel so we decided to check it out. The staff was very friendly and seated us promptly by the street so we could people watch. The bar was mostly open with no walls. The lighting was dark towards the back of the bar. There were people at the bar watching sports, but they were not loud and noisy. I ordered a salad and my daughter ordered El Quesadilla. The portions were large and not expensive. The food was average not exceptional. They have happy hour from 12-8 pm with $5 beer, liquor, and wine, which is a good price in NYC.

We loved our meal at the Iron Bar. The atmosphere was lively. The offered a smaller, simple food and drink menu. The service was good. Our food was great. My cheeseburger was delicious. I couldn’t believe how big it was. I definitely want to return again to order another one.

I wanted to find a place that was close to Kinky Boots and this was perfect. It is right next door! The staff was very nice. I had made a reservation but I didn't need it - there were plenty of table. I had a burger and salad. Both were very good. My husband enjoyed his meal as well.

My husband and I went to Iron Bar New York for an early dinner and drinks. The bar is very rustic and inviting with the doors open for a nice breeze the evening we were there. Extensive selection of bottle and draught beer and wines. The food is also very good. It's one block off Times Square where we were staying. Approximately 20 tv screens around the bar.

The atmosphere is vibrant with a staff that is friendly and professional. The food was excellent. Although the menu was small, it was worth the visit and yes, I would recommend this place to anyone.

We had time after a show and stopped in. So glad we did. Sat at the bar and the bartender was witty, charming, seemed to possess a sixth sense as to what a patron might want or need. Not fancy or prententious but warm and inviting and comfortable. Highly recommend for a quick drink or hanging out with friends for a while.

We were looking for dinner near the hotel and saw this place as we passed and were not disappointed. Big bar, loads of sports TVs which our kids loved and the food and service were excellent. My wife and daughter had delicious flat bread pizzas, I had a veggie burger which was gorgeous and my son wolfed down the chicken sliders. Plenty draft beers on tap and reasonable prices. This was a really great little find.

We must have passed the Iron Bar dozens of times, yet had never stopped in for our usual pre-theater cocktails. When one of our regular spots closed, we began trying some different one and decided to stop in here. It was a pleasant surprise! The bar has a nice vibe, the bar tender was quick to get to us and the drinks she made were quite good. The bar menu is extensive even for us vegetarians. We had the Hell's Kitchen Nachos without the meat. The idea of a fried egg on the time seemed a bit odd, but turned out to be delicious addition. Signature cocktails are $14, which is well within the price range for the area. Plus, if you are going to a show on 44th or 45th streets, the Iron Bar is a few steps away so you can enjoy your drink rather than the hassle of the lines outside the theaters.

We decided to eat here after going to see Kinky Boots in the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. We ordered a burgers & a drink. There was a great atmosphere & the burger was the best we had during our stay in NYC. Definitely recommend a visit here.

Across of our hotel, so just walked in. Lovely food!!!! Good vibe, nice music, a lot of choices of beer and lovely cocktails. Would definitely recommend it!! Got the chicken pizza with peppers and mozzarella. Loved it! De jucy lucy burger also was very nice according to my friends.

At a conference, and joined up with a group headed for this spot, just off Times Square. We were early diners, so snagged a table for eight without a problem. Terrific waitress, jiffy service and terrific food! I had the Asian Chicken Salad - so yummy - and the margarita wasn’t bad, either. Others had the Nacho Platter, one enjoyed the Eight Avenue Burger. No one - NO ONE - was disappointed. I’d go there again. I’d take my own family. No regrets.

Chose this bar & restaurant due to proximity to a theater we were seeing a matinee at on the day. It was a food choice. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, cold beers, tasty food and well priced. Ticker all boxes for us. We would return.

Brought a group of 9 in for dinner/drinks. Came early for a reservation, we were seated, no server came over, I went to see if we had a server, they said yes, then waited again for 15 minutes for the server to show up, after ordering drinks, which were slow to come, lets just say everything was slow to come, they have drinks, food which is average bar food at best and the slowest service available, tip was added and if up to me would have been way less to equal the service and check backs we received, I would go elsewhere if the opportunity arose again.

Service good. My daughter and I shared margherita pizza. It was very good but not like Italy. It had lots of cheese whereas in Italy it is more tomato not much cheese. I’d order it again but if you are expecting a true margherita pizza you’ll be disappointed.

Went here this week after work, love the nachos although pricey at $17. The portion was large though. They were out of the vodka I like but that was not a huge issue. Average New York prices at $13 for a shot of ciroc.

Meal: 8th Ave Burger. The burger was super juicy. The fries were super good as well. Great selection of beer. Plenty of space. It's right in the heart of Time Square so plenty of people coming in and out. Service was really good and attentive.

We visited here and got seated at the bar. Not a problem as it was busy and we got a seat (I am 20 weeks pregnant so any seat will Do!) good choice of beer/alcoholic drinks, however, while on holiday I would like to have a non-alcoholic beer. Unfortunately they don’t have it here and this is the only bar so far in NYC that we have found doesn’t serve non alcoholic beer. We decided to eat so moved to a normal table, by the window so I was happy! We had a mixed platter to share. It was nice but everything was fried (kind of to be expected) it was nice! Don’t have a massive amount to say about the food other than it was nice and it filled a hole, did a job, and was presented nicely. I would go again so would recommend!

Not sure if I will give this restaurant another try since I was late for my theater due to the slow service from the kitchen. The silverware was so co weed with scum that I choose to use my hands to eat. The calamari was cold and rubbery, served in a Chinese container with chop sticks. The wings were hot and tasted good with the buffalo sauce. The beet salad: beers had no flavor, almost no goat cheese and no dressing. Suggest they learn about balsamic! Servers were nice and apologetic but this restaurant needs a new cook in the kitchen and a better dishwasher too!

When you walk in you get excitement surrounding you. The smells of great food encompass your nostrils. Staff is funny and makes you feel like family. Go there.

Excellent menu and choice, and great prices. try the pizza it was immense, a wide range of beer on draft too

I stumbled across this bar at tea time due to the fact every where in the local area was packed. I was welcomed by a happy smiley waitress who was very helpful and took me straight to a table, I was quickly served and food wasn't far behind. The atmosphere of the bar is very good and sports is on the TV all around. My pizza arrived and looked nothing special and tasted average. I would recommend this location if you are wanting a drink or something quick to eat, however if wanting a sit down meal I would recommend going else where.

Thanksgiving in New York and where to eat. Called to Iron bar by chance and had a lovely meal. Great options on the menu and tasty food. Busy and good atmosphere.

Believe it or not, an NYPD officer recommended this place to us. Being from out of town, we had no idea where to eat after a long day of tour busses and walking. The service is good, prices are reasonable (by NYC standards) and the burgers were the best I've had in a very long time! Others in the group had Loaded Nachos, Cuban Sandwich, and soup of the day. All the food was great! One thing to know....soda refills ARE NOT free.

We ate here twice while in NYC in December. I was impressed with the friendly service and the attentive servers. In the evening it is a very crowded and noisy bar/restaurant but somehow the staff is able to be welcoming and personable even though they are moving at lightning speed. The food is reasonably price and there is a huge variety of local beers. Good place if you are not looking for quiet dining!!

Limited menu for food but great range draught beers. Noisy and busy bar with lively atmosphere and plenty sports on TV. Not the best choice in the area for supper.

Not impressed. Slow service, average bar food, nothing special. Didn't seem to have set waiter/waitress. Everyone who walked by asked us if we needed anything, but then it took a long time to come...strange set-up...it's okay but nothing to write home about.

We stopped in here for a real American burger. Well, we got what we wanted! Both burgers we ordered were full of flavour and a great portion. Burgers themselves seemed good quality and the combinations worked really well. Served with a nice, cold beer - just perfect! Great atmosphere and friendly service. Nice spot to people watch too.

This restaurant is steps away from the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. We were going to see a matinee showing of Moulin Rouge so this was a perfect spot!! Our food was delicious!! Our server was very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend!!

Absolutely love it here! Julius on the door was professional, welcoming & really friendly putting us all at ease. We had fries, nachos & the BEST onion rings in NYC here!!! Very reasonably priced & a tip wasnt assumed (although we couldnt not give one due to the amazing service) Massive shout out to Alex the waiter who was attentive, friendly & although very busy, never failed to check we were okay & had a big smile on his face. I’d recommend this bar to anyone if they want good beer, good food & great service!

We had booked another restaurant but alas the singer started up making it impossible to talk so we moved on. Found this place and we had bypassed others as we could not get a drink there. We had a salad to share, pizza and a sandwich. Food quality was good, service ok nothing special and the beer cold. We got a jug Of beerTo share. All in all acceptable. We could talk l, catch up on baseball score and watch the street scene go by. Not sure if I’d return.

wife and I stopped for a beer and burger. Every tv had the Ohio State game on and servers in Ohio State gear and banner hanging so assuming this was their bar. Alex was our server and did an excellent job. Enjoyed the beers, the burger and the game. Pretty crowded and noisy but a great deal of fun too

A bit noisy but classic sports bar scene - stopped for dinner before the show and was delighted with the Midtown burger. It was cooked just right and the topping mix was a perfect blend. Fries were also excellent, with a good crispy outside and soft inside, not greasy.

Everything we were looking for - $6 pints, ice cold too - which was very welcome given the 30 degree weather!! Clean toilets, friendly staff. Right in Times Square but still affordable. Couldn’t ask for more! So good we went back twice in the same day despite our first visit being several hours long!

We decided to try here. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was good and very well presented. It is not very expensive. If you like music and sports it’s a great place to go. Would go back for food..

Stayed in Times Square so this bar a 5 minute walk but was our favourite by far. Great selection of beers great vibe and friendly attentive staff with reasonable prices. Highly recommend

Great music and loads of screens to watch all sports. Chicken wings and fries to die for all served by Alex who was superb and efficient Definitely the place to go if in the area

NOTE: we only had drinks here, no food. PROS: * awesome decor * great bar service * clean restroom * plenty of space inside * lots of windows to see outside and watch the city go by CONS: * unfriendly hostess * restroom is tiny, could be an issue when busy SUMMARY: Nice place for a drink or bite to eat in the afternoon before it gets crowded. It has an open feel so you can step out of the city and not feel so cramped. Prime location near Times Square, so lots of people to watch. ATMOSPHERE: We were tourists in awe when we arrived in NYC. Not really sure what to do or where to go, we decided a drink was in order to unwind from the trip there and the overwhelming feeling of the busy city on a Friday mid-day. We chose Iron Bar due to its close proximity to our hotel and Times Square. Inside it is quite fun. Industrial meets modern. Chic and classy without being snotty. There were a few people inside eating. We sat at the bar since we only wanted drinks. The bar is a great size, lots of room. Lights underneath give it a modern flare. SERVICE: The hostess seemed bothered by us, borderline rude. No worries, we didn't need her to seat ourselves at the bar. The bar tender was very friendly. Made idle chit chat now and then and served us promptly. Some others came in and sat at the bar, close to the time we were leaving, and she seemed to be able to tell right away they were locals, had a different way of serving them. It was interesting to watch. DRINKS: We're beer people, so we look for places which feature beers on tap we haven't tried before. Not hard to do in a big city. We had a few beers brewed in the state of NY. The bar is fully stocked, and I think you can get just about anything, and then some. PRICES: It's the city, it's near Times Square. Enough said. OVERALL OPINION: We were very pleased with our experience here. We sat at the bar and had our beers, looking out the big windows at the city going by. It was quite nice. I'd imagine this place is a sardine packed hip place on a Friday or Saturday night, which is not my style. But, it's very cool none-the-less.

Reserve your seat or you will stand. But no worries, there are plenty of TV screens you will see tuned in to the Buckeyes! The NYC OSU Alumni club has everything organized to welcome you in the door, host your best game day experience, next best to being in the "Shoe" if you're a Buckeye. Service is just as organized - water at your table, servers at your immediate call all the way through the game. Orders prepared just the way you want it, when you want it. The food is exceptional and fair price. The menu varied and offers dining, tail-gate, sandwiches, salads, pizza and pasta. You really must try the Wings!!! WOW!

Ordered a juicy Lucy burger medium to well done. Came out Raw. Completely put me off even when the second burger came out it didn't look that good. No service with a smile either.

My family stopped in here for dinner. The host asked if we would like to sit in the back because it was “cooler back there”. It was a hot day so we said “yes”. Then we got to the back and saw they were couches with coffee tables. I said “I’m sorry, we can’t eat back here”. The hostess (different from original person) asked why! I said “How could we eat a meal like that?” So she moved us to a normal table. The waitress took our drink order (2 waters and an ice tea). While waiting, another waitress asked us for our drink order. I said we already ordered. The first one brought our drinks and we ordered Fried Mozzarella Sticks. The waitress said “Is that all you want?” We told her “No, that’s just what we want for an appetizer”. The sticks came, we ate them (tasted ok, but nothing special) and then someone cleared the dishes away. The waitress never came back to take our dinner order! I finally asked for the bill from another server. We then went to another restaurant for dinner! Also, the tea was terrible. I asked her what was in it because it tastes so different then regular tea. She said she didn’t know. Very odd place. Don’t waste your time!

What an amazing place! Sports on every screen. Reasonable priced food and drinks! Very friendly and polite staff. What more can you ask for? The wings were incredible and are to die for!

Second time visiting this Restaurant, in general terms very correct. Maybe they should update the tabletops since they look neglected. Good burger and correct service.

Alex, our waiter was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the menu and beer list. Our food was prepared quickly, and it was so reasonably priced. The pitchers of beer were a great deal as well. This was the only restaurant we returned to during our week stay in New York, mainly because of the excellent service. We had the pizza, nachos, and the Juicy Lucy burger. The burger was delicious. They make a homemade mustard that is the tastiest sauce I have ever tried as well. Try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

This is a typical American bar - great atmosphere, plenty of neon and loads of TV screens up showing American sports. We enjoyed our visit - it reminded me of something you would see in a movie or on TV. Would recommend.

Mother nature brought us here. This place is right next to the Al Hirschfeld Theater. As we were leaving the theater it started pouring rain. We had an umbrella, but the rain was coming down so hard we dipped into this bar. We got a spot in the back lounge. Pretty eclectic draft selection. Not a lot of craft beer, but sufficient. The wine selection is limited. This is a beer and burger joint. Lots of energy. Good music. Service is fine. Times Square type crowd. Not a lot of locals.

Was there to get pre-theatre dinner. Since it was during Happy Hour, the house chardonnay was $4...had an odd aftertaste but drinkable. Ordered the Iron Bar Pizza which had a light sprinkling of calamari, shrimps and a mussel or two under a shower of baby arugula. Sounded a lot better than it tasted. Although the crust was relatively thin, it was hard and bruised the roof of my mouth by the time I finished it; I was hungry. The waitress was very nice and helpful.

Stopped by this Ohio State themed Sports bar in the Heart of NYC. Head some Shrimp & Grits which were great and some of the Iron Bar brand beer on tap which was tasty. Tables were very close, but we ended up meeting and talking with the couple next to us from the UK. Service was good and place was packed as OSU football game was getting ready to start.

Loved the decor, the atmosphere was great, the service was (initially) excellent. The food was ok, the wings (mostly legs) were massive, the pizza was pub pizza, the fries were outstanding. It's bar food, served in a bar, so no surprises there, if you want fine dining, go somewhere else and pay double. Only complaint, it took us about 20 mins to go from "can we have the bill" to actually cashing out and leaving, this was not the server's fault, he was flat out, management need to hire more staff.

My wife and I went there last week with our kids. We were going to see a show. They have a great on tap beer selection. We had 2 burgers and 2 salads. The service was average, waiter was not super friendly. The burger was large and juicy. The place is large inside with a bar down the left side and many high top tables in middle of the room. I would say the pricing is very reasonable, nice place for lunch but not dinner. Good place to drink.

It was crowded so we had to wait a bit for seating. My advice is to make reservations. Once seated the service was great and fast. A bit loud. There's a large screen for watching sporting events.

This was our local since we arrived. Then the young girl with dark hair with blonde highlights and glasses began shouting we didn't pay a drinks tab in which we did the night before weird how the money was already taken night before. Refused to serve us the pub was busy sorry put her hand up to us. We have never had a problem with this pub before maybe train her on customer service instead of shouting her mouth off won't be back will highlight to people coming to New York to avoid this pub

Great food and service, lively atmosphere (bit loud though) though not for kids (over 21 only. Weird toilets, though, full os shady characters hanging around, plus some guy selling candy next to the urinals (?!?!).

Delicious food but extremely noisy I had the calamari appetizer which was plentiful and extremely good. The fries were also exceptional. I also ordered a margarita which was well made and generous.

Second time in Iron Bar, last time 2 years ago. Decided to stop for a beer and some Nachos and wings... Mmmmmmm... well the wings were but the Nachos were well.... not the best! Never ever in all of my 50 years have I ever received Nachos with a fried egg! All a bit nasty to be honest. My daughter wasn't impressed at all.. the service was ok, would I come here again?? It would be a No from me.

Ate here before seeing Hello Dolly last Saturday. Atmosphere was nice. A NYC bar/grill. Many tvs at bar with good sport selection. service good. nothing special about it. We ate simple. Chicken & beef sliders. fries. Food was delicious!! ONE PROBLEM. It seemed like it took a long time for them to run my credit card. Long enough that I thought it was weird. I chalked it up to being anxious to get to show. Sometimes go with your instincts. 3 days later I had a charge of almost $2,600 on my card for an online auto parts store!! Bank saw it was fraud and declined it. As someone has my number, card had to be closed and new one sent to me. I have not used this card anywhere else in over 6 months. When you give your card at a restaurant they now have access to your cc number AND the security code. Could happen anywhere, JUST BE AWARE.

We were thrilled to find a great bar with good food which we frequented a number of times during our week in NYC. Friendly, never too packed, reasonable prices and lots of sports on the screens, would definitely recommend.

The staff was super friendly, and the 8th Ave burger and fries were delicious! We will definitely return. It was very conveniently located too, near The Phantom of the Opera, which we were going to after.

Ordered a Cuban sandwich, pork was tough and dry, basically inedible. Fry's and beer's were OK. I would not recommend.

Had a quick lunch, flatbread and salad to share between the two of us, more than plenty. Super busy place , seating a bit cramped when busy. But well attended to by the staff. Excellent job guys 😀

Although our server was a little erratic, the playlist was on 10 and the Iron Martini was good. I would go back and try their hookah.

We stopped in after a show and had a great time. My only complaint is that they allow e-cigarettes. Had the wings - Korean BBQ and whiskey BBQ - and they were excellent. Our two servers were on top of their game. Highly recommend the place.

I had a steak and a few glasses of wine here and i have to say the quality of the food and drink was excellent, as was the service I received from the waitresses. So why did I rate this terrible? Well, we are in 2017 and this restaurant is in the heart of Manhattan, New York, a melting pot of cultures and an area known for promoting equal rights and diversity. However, the waitresses here have a dress code which includes skin tight leggings leaving little to the imagination and them with very little dignity. So, this is very much addressed to the management of the restaurant - I'm sorry this is not acceptable behaviour in this day and age - you need to accept that you are a respectable restaurant in the centre of town and abide by Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies. I will be returning to Manhattan in a month and will bring this up with the relevant municipal authorities, it's very important that women's rights are properly upheld in the workplace. I hope to see some action taken by you in this regard.

Visited before the theatre located a few doors down. Great cocktails, great bar staff and door staff. Very friendly place. Returned after the theatre.

If you are going to see a show make sure you make a reservation because the place fills up quickly. The food was excellent and the wait staff was great. Would definitely go back again and again.

We arrived around midnight at the Marriott Marquis and ask the clerk for a recommendation. He suggested the Iron Bar. The music is pulsing as you sit at the wooden tables. The big screen TVs are showing a variety of sports. We had a burger and sliders. They were both well-cooked and tasty. The fries came with the burger and were very good too. A great place for our family (16 year old son) to have a late night meal.

If you're into the cool music from the DJ playing and want a laid-back environment, this is the place to be. Had a great time with my wife and just enjoyed the drinks and music they had playing.

This was a great restaurant. The food and atmosphere was awesome. But there was something mysterious going on in the basement that no one would talk about. People would go down but never come back up.

This type you find in any you want. American food but rations are generous and price commensurate and good everything

We made several visits to the iron bar as was close to hotel. A decent bar with great atmosphere good selection of beers and cocktails. Many sports screens around the bar showing all the sports you can think of. Nice bar staff, would recommend to visit anytime of the day

My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch before a matinee and we were thrilled with the wide selection of ice cold beers. The lunch appetizers were awesome and the beers were so good, we returned at 12AM for an end of a long day cold one, to maybe it was two. Highly recommend this place while your in the city, especially if you're near the theatre district.

We were running late from the train coming to see a show. We were meeting family who drove in and had to divert from our usual meeting spot further away from tourist central. This bar was around the corner from the imperial theater and we met up for a quick drink before our show started. The place was jam packed. Luckily our family members had already arrived and were able to secure seats at the bar for themselves. We were able to order drinks and small bite at the bar and then move over to a nearby seated area that could accommodate the 4 of us. We watched as tour buses packed full of tourists frequently stopped on the corner, street musicians/performers running out to greet them, lines forming on the sidewalk for the next performance of kinky boots making it difficult to even get out the front door. Proximity to the theater was a plus but I would definitely not use as a meeting point for a drink before a show. Way too crowded.

We went in here for some drinks and a meal the staff were very friendly and chatty The drinks were great as were the meals we all had Brilliant place well worth a visit

So you’re in Manhattan and while you are taking in the sites and seeing the best Broadway has to offer, your team (THE Ohio State Buckeyes) has a game. We found out the Iron Bar is where the OSU alumni take in games. Whoo hoo. AND the staff is great, food (wings and pizza) top notch game food as if we were tailgating outside the Shoe!!!! The big screen plus other big ten games on display was an immersive experience —almost as good as being there while enjoying the greatest city in the world!! We give Iron Bar a big ‘ol O. H. (I. O. )

This was a pleasant bar located close to Broadway and Hell's Kitchen so plenty of restaurants near by. It was a nice change to not have to use stairs to go to the tiolets. Good choice of drinks although service a little bit slow although not too busy. Other people sat near us ordered burgers which looked very tasty and quite large. The Italian restaurant Il Forno next door was excellent.

Went there before a play. It's a sports bar with a lot of TV's. Host and waitress were very nice. It was a Saturday so it must be an Ohio State bar because ever TV had the game on. We both ordered the juicy Lucy burger. As we were eating it I ask her how it was and she said it had no taste. I couldn't agreed with her more. I think they forgot the seasoning. The place itself is nice. If you're going for a beer, apps and a game it's not a bad place. I just couldn't recommend a meal.

They were close to the hotel on which we were staying. We stop by for eating and beers. Food was good, we got a got burger, fries, and a beer,

Called in husband so wanted eat in Hells Kitchen as big DC/ Marvel fan would hugely recommend food and service AMAZING yummy

Stopped for a late lunch here on the way back to the hotel. I took the appetiser nachos and they were massive! Definitely don't order anything else with these! Everyone else enjoyed there food - kids loved the pizza and it wasn't too big. Great beer selection and the sauvignon blanc was lovely but really pricey. Lunch therefore was good but a bit over priced I would say.

I was on a date and we ended up here because the original place I wanted was closed due to a private event. My date suggested this bar and it worked out great. Its cool and closes late. The crowd is locals with a mix of tourist, they have good hookah and I ordered the 8th ave burger - DELICIOUS! I will say the service wasnt the greatestttt but I guess they were spreading themselves thin for such a busy evening. Nonetheless I cannot wait to go back with friends or coworkers!

We stopped into Iron Bar to grab a bite between shows. Comfortable, reasonably priced food and drink- for Times Square area at least. The service isn't fast, but otherwise okay. It's dark, with a sports bar vibe.

Stopped in for a drink and a quick appetizer before seeing a show nearby. The atmosphere was fun and the service was good. Enjoyed the wings too. Would definitely recommend popping in if you are in the area. A good place for tourists or locals.

I always feel that if a place is busy it's usually very good & this place was packed! Service & food very good.

Spent a weekend in the City 9/21-9/23 and stumbled upon this Gem. Being from Ohio, the OSU flag hanging from the awning caught my eye. A Buckeye Bar in NYC filled with Buckeye Fans, yeah for me. We came in right in the middle of a Buckeye game so the restaurant was bananas. However, the waitress was able to find us a table, the staff were all very friendly. They served the best black bean burger I think I’ve ever had, and bring a vegetarian I’ve tried a lot of black bean burgers. Will definitely go back.

Stumbled in there last night to get out of the rain. First night in NY and had been travelling all day,and with the time difference just wanted something quick and inexpensive! Lovely house wine, the service was brilliant. Boyf had steak and tator tots and I had steak salad. Both had beautifully cooked steak and were full of flavour! Great! Find! €70 for 2 drinks and 2 meals, And one of those was the most expensive on the menu!

We used this bar as our local go to while staying nearby. Friendly staff, loads of good beers to choose from and fair prices. Good food selection and portions big.

Large selection of beers. I had the black bean burger. Quite good. My mom ordered a pepperoni pizza. They came out with a cheese. Replaced it but brought a rosted veg. Couldn't be bothered sending in back again. Quite good too tho.

Solid choice for pub fare if you're going to a broadway show. Also very good for sporting events, as it has a dedicated fan area with a projector, couches, etc. Staff was friendly, and got us in and out on time to see a broadway show. Prices were pretty typical for Midtown. Fun place. Will go again.

We ate here a couple of times on our trip. Service is friendly and quick and the food is great. Their chips are definitely some of the best I've tasted!

A nice place on hells kitchen. A nice ambient and a good service. The right place if you are looking for a simple and very American place.

Popped in here for a quick dinner. Picked up some wings and a nice salad and was very happy. Wings were pretty average. Atmosphere is great. Lots of TVs for sports. And not a chain. Really solid service as well. I'd go back.

I love this bar it is my favourite in the city. There is a large selection of drinks and they are reasonably priced. The burgers are amazing - they are large - again well priced. It is a place I will return to time and again whenever I am lucky enough to visit. They have various sports on the various screens around the bar. It can get busy as it is a clear favourite for a lot of people.

My friends and I recently visited this past long weekend for a late Saturday night and we were so so SO happy with the service we were given, the atmosphere and music. We had a really great time enjoying some wine, chatting with people around us, and trying hookah for the first time (the hookah guy was really nice!) Our waitress provided very speedy service as well, and she was extremely friendly. At one point we had a gentleman who had invited himself to our table, he was quite drunk and kind of killing our vibe. On my way to the washroom I mentioned it to the security guy stationed on the stairs and by the time I got back the man had already been removed. Shortly afterwards more gentlemen joined our table and the same security guard promptly came to make sure we were okay- I was SO impressed with this. I wish I had gotten his name. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we instantly made plans to go the following evening. Overall a really great experience.

Great location in the theatre district. A slew of tvs going with lots of sports. Community table and another with couches for easy viewing. Pretty standard bar food; burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, etc....

4 of us had time to do some sightseeing in town after a 5:30 arrival. A guest at our hotel said he liked this place. We went and sat for about an hour waiting on our order. Had to use flashlight to read menus. Very loud music, nice big TVs. We gave up a good amount of our evening for food that was just ok. We were told it took extra time for a med well burger. Not real friendly service. I won’t be giving this place another chance. Fries and the Cuban sandwich were pretty good but definitely not worth the wait.

My friend was visiting from Toronto and we decided to watch the England-Colombia worldcup match .. after looking around for a decent place we found Iron Bar. It was a relief. As the AC was on (much needed on the hot summer day) other places we visited was very stuffy. But this place was open and high ceilings. The food was good and the place had a positive vibe. The waitress seemed to be a little over worked and it may need some more servers. However a good experience overall would love to visit again.

We stopped by the first time to get some drinks and rest after wandering Time Square in the rain. We noticed the food that was being served and it looked really good. We came back 2 days later for a early dinner. It was not busy Wait staff was very attentive. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and good tasting.

We have been here many times when going to shows... before and after. Great vibe, good food and bartenders are fabulous. Jen was phenomenal and friendly and knew about all the shows too. Added bonus lol

Lunch and dinner on Christmas Day. Particular and spacious room. Excellent service and great food. Prices in the norm considered location and period.

We stopped here after walking all day and ordered the nachos. They were just ok. We didn't expect them to have chili on them. Would not order again.

Good place to catch a game. My preference would be to hear game sound and not dance music. The food is very good.

We used this bar and grill before when we were staying in NY. This time we arrived by cruise ship and returned to this place for some drinks before going to the theatre. Friendly staff and great chouce of beers.

Had a great meal here enjoying the environment and the good service. Cant be much cooler than this. Make sure you stop by when you are in NY.

Noisy to the point where you won't be having a conversation, and the smell of the water pipes are something I can live without. Drinks were good, servers were not entirely with the plan, but it was OK.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon before it got busy. The food is ok, nothing special. But service was good. The restroom has an attendant and An array of amenities and treats. The chicken wings were awesome.

One of the best place to see game the food is good the staff is very friendly and there price are reasonable

This place was over the road from the hotel we stayed at and so we gave it a try So did we did as the food was excellent. Simple menu with limited options but food was excellent and well presented. Fries were double or triple fried and my daughter loved them Service excellent but has sports and loud music so not a quiet place to have a meal Worth a visit and prices reasonable

My husband and I love this bar. Yes it’s a stones throw from port authority and the tourist Mecca of NYC. However, the selection of beers is extensive and the food is great! We like to go and watch the games on one of the many big screen TVs on the walls. It’s super convenient to get there from the subway, bus or ferry and is always a good time!

Only giving 1 star because I can't give minus stars. Just eaten there, service was not good and staff were at best insincere but realistically uninterested despite making it clear they expected a tip. Chewing gum stuck under the table ended up all over my sister's handbag, when we complained that the bill did not acknowledge the ruined handbag we were told by the manager that it wasn't his fault. I'm not a stickler for service but the managers attitude was beyond poor service.

The food was wonderful. The salad with lemon vinaigrette was so fresh, light and tasty. The quesadillas were yummy. Our party had burgers and chicken as well. The service was great on a very busy night. The only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 was a dark and dank restroom.

Nice sizeable sports bar. Staff (doorman and waitress) very friendly. Had a couple of beers and a burger. Prices decent by NY standards. Burger very nice.

Amazing place, great atmosphere and fabulous food. We had burger and fries and couldn't finish them,as much as we wanted too. A definite must , as great food for affordable prices

My wife and I dined here while in NYC with friends. We stumbled upon the restaurant and it was pretty busy. We sat and were promptly greeted and order drinks and meals. The food was cooked to perfection and the server was one of the best servers I ever have had. When we told him we had wonderful service he explained they had just reopened and were busier then expected which I wouldn’t have know with his level of service. We would gladly dined here again.

We stopped in for a drink and a bite..the vibe was lively and upbeat but the food was ok, I should have known better since I was so close to Times Square. I’d go back for drinks but not to eat.

Cocktails here are about €15. I had an El Diablo (tequila based, and very nice). Big screens showing sports. Next door to the theatre showing Moulin Rouge. Friendly service. As a group of 8 we were seated immediately and service was quick enough to ensure we weren’t late for the show.

Service was great, everyone was very attentive..drinks and food was reasonably priced for NY.. Will visit again!!

Pleasantly surprised at both the service and food. We had planned to get a New York Pizza but the place was take-out only. We searched and found this place nearby. I would recommend it.

We watched the OSU/Michigan game at the Iron Bar - full of Buckeyes fans - lots of energy, lots of fun. The wings, nachos, Cuban sandwich - I can recommend them all. The drinks were great and so was the service in spite of the crowd.

Our waitstaff was wonderful! The food was delicious.Took a chance and stopped in before going to see the musical Chicago and was pleasantly surprised with this busy restaurant. Even though it was super busy, the waitstaff was cheerful and considerate. The pizza was absolutely delicious as was the quesadilla (which my daughter deemed the best she has ever had!!). This is a must if you are in the area. We also loved that we had a table near the window and could people watch as we ate.

Very happy with my recent visit to Iron Bar. The Hell's Kitchen Nachos were delicious and very filling. A good plate of food for $16. The chicken sliders were also well prepared ($13), and I'd recommend them. Reasonable prices for being off of Times Square, too. The atmosphere is great - rustic modern is how I'd describe it. Seemed pretty clean. Great music. NYC service is, in general, a grade or two down from other areas (i.e. Midwest, Southern US), so it's important to manage your expectations. With that in mind, the service at Iron Bar was fairly good. The waitress was pretty attentive and friendly - not ignorant, irritated, rude, etc. Overall, a solid experience, and I'd return again.

Waitress "Sam" was outstanding and professional. I had a problem with the bill due to another waiter who had quite the combative attitude. Luckily, Sam intervened and the manager was called and he corrected the bill. Thank you, Sam. Keep smiling and being hospitable!

Dined here on a whim when a friend and I went to see Kinky Boots (since he theater’s around the corner.) So glad we did! The food and service were very good, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Would definitely dine here again. The wings are really good.
Convenient Post-matinee Restaurant
Great happy hour drink prices, and good food that's fairly priced. The beet salad and quesadilla were very good, at at $4/glass, you can't beat the happy hour price for a glass of wine! Friendly waiters and staff, plenty of space, and no wait time in late afternoon.
