New place we checked out

First time here; one of the group suggested trying an Australian restaurant. Good service, food, drinks. We had the Biscoff tiramisu; it was excellent.

Absolute gem in Manhattan

Amazing place - staff, food and cocktails all 11/10!! Highly recommend the espresso martini flight and the burger, oh and the shrimp rigatoni

Super cozy place

Nice place on the ground floor of a hotel. Well furnished, soft lights, spaced tables. Smiling staff, available to make suggestions on both food and wines. Particular cuisine, with American and Australian dishes. I was alone, I super relaxed and ate well. To return

Worth a stop

We thought this would be more like bar food and we were definitely wrong. We got the kangaroo to start, just fantastic, next was the sausage roll. My husband loved it so much, it was extremely filling so be warned. Our mains were The Isla burger with truffle fries which was very good and I had the power bowl with chicken. It was good aside from the chicken which was so overdone I couldn’t eat a good bit of it. The service was decent, food came together versus apps first, and it took a while for them to greet us as well as a long time to get drink refills.

good brunch place if you are in the area as the food and ambiance were good

We were in the neighborhood and looking for a brunch place and online reviews said this place was good and the menu looked decent so we decided to check it out. We did not make a reservation but were able to put yourself on the waiting list so that is what we did. When we checked in, we still had to wait about 15 mins so in total the time detailed during the wait was accurate. Once seated, we ordered the burger with fries, avocado toast and the mini breakkie which came with eggs, beans toast and hash browns. The burger was decent but the fries were good, the avocado toast was a good size and had good flavor. The beans on the brekkie looked like they can from a can but were still good; the eggs and bread were good while the hashbrowns looked premade. The flavor and quantity of the flavor was good and each was filling. Overall a good brunch place if you are in the area as the food and ambiance were good

Amazing! Jay and Penny did a great job!

I had a stressful medical appointment and my partner and I needed somewhere near Bryant Park to eat dinner so we randomly decided on this place bc of it's high rating. Totally earned! I had the power bowl with extra avocado and my partner had the steak fries and both were fresh and perfect in all ways. Big portions and I wish I had room for my entire entree. Our service was above and beyond! Thank you so much to Jay and Penny as well as everyone in the kitchen for turning a stressful evening into a very pleasant one. Even the bathroom had no issues.

Fresh food, amazing coffee, incredible staff!

It was extremely refreshing to eat at this restaurant. I had brunch here nearly every day. Not only was the food fresh and tasty, the coffee was made perfectly (I’m no coffee snob, but if you’re an Aussie travelling in the US you’ll know what I mean). The staff are extremely friendly (particularly the lovely gent from my hometown in Adelaide)- happy to give advice on where to go as a tourist in NY, and they clearly enjoy where they work.. always happy and enjoying each other’s company! Highly recommend!!

Kangaroo!

Probably the only restaurant in NYC that has kangaroo on the menu (much like beef and delicious). Quirky menu, nicely prepared dishes and attentive service. Fun spot.
