My wife and I came to NY for a visit. She had been wanting Jackson Hole. So the website said their was a location at Second Ave. & 84th. We go there, no Jackson Hole. We call and they said has been closed for some time. But how would we know it? And the email on their website doesn't work. Guess I won't be visiting Jackson Hole.

Huge and rather tasty hamburguers. It is worth a visit if you are around. Place is well decorated and prices are high (as everywhere in NYC).

In much of USA bigger is better. Quality seems to be judged on quantity. It stands to reason that burgers, the favourite food of Americans, are judged very much the same way. Burgers aren't exactly gourmet but they can be tasty and with good french fries make a filling, if not memorable meal. So, if you feel you'd like to stuff yourself with a good quality burger and fries this may be the best place to do it. There are dozens of varieties of burgers including some which are oversized and with extras like cheese, bacon etc for the truly hungry or gluttonous. This place has a reputation bigger than it deserves because of the size of the portions but you do pay extra for that so it's the perception of value for money which counts here and New Yorkers like that idea a lot - witness the queues outside some delis which provide gargantuan meals. Unless you are really into burgers or you want to experience what the fat side of the world enjoys this place is unnecessary but probably worth doing once in your life providing you fast before and after. If you are on a budget you do nearly as well for much less buying the biggest Whopper meal and stuffing that down although you don't get the atmosphere of diners in a cosy restaurant pigging out.

In this restaurant with a relaxed and somehow vintage ambiance you can get great fresh draught beers and some of the best burgers you ever had. I personally ate a delicious Mac&Cheese Burger which despite not being exactly what your nutritionist would recommend was an absolute delight. You also have a great choice of sides, like french fries, sweet potatoes, smased potatoes or baked potatoes. A MUST GO when in NYC!

I've been ordering food from this place for a while and just getting it delivered, but when a friend was in town, I finally decided to actually eat there. There are several locations in the city, but this is for the 3rd Ave place. First of all, I was surprised at how small it was. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but with their reputation, I just figured the dining room would be bigger. I've eaten several of the burgers and chicken sandwiches over the years, but my two favs are the Kaluba Burger and the Western Burger. The burgers are big and sloppy, but they taste great. I try not to cut it in half to eat, but sometimes you have to. I usually order the onion rings opposed to fries, but both are fine. A burger platter runs about $13 on average, but it's worth it to have every once in a while.

If you're in the mood for one of the best burgers ever go to Jackson Hole. They have burgers with everything or nothing that are so big they are almost impossible to get in your mouth. You go here for burgers and fries not much else. The meat is delicious. Prices are good.

We were walking along, very hungry! Thinking of a fast food item called Chilli Hot Dog! And we walked into Jackson Hole restaurant. What a surprise, Great wall hangings, portraits and an assembly of Cowboy stuff. Staff were quick and efficient and the chilli dogs were amazing. This place was definitely worth a visit even if you were there just for the paraphernalia. try this place. Cheers

Nice sit-down restaurant with proper service and great burgers. Burgers were tasty, well cooked with top ingredients and generous portions. Nothing fancy, with fast and friendly service. Can't fault it and highly recommended.

A lot a variety and very good quality, the burgers are very big, maybe too big. You don't need fries or an order side order.. I recommend it 100%! 🍔🍔

Second time I'm coming here for dinner. I'm on a 24th range business trip from London. Perfect place for a good filling meal after freshen up following a flight. I'm not a big meat eater but buyer here are good and tasty. Portions are generous, staff is friendly and service fast.

Went with family to this place. Friendly staff and good food. The burger it self could need more salt/pepper but additions were tasty. Reasonable prices.

We went in a Jackson hole.... 19 years ago and still had a tremendous memory of these burgers After a week in NYC, eating mainly fast food burgers, we decided to go again for a real burger, and we were not disappointed at all, just like in our memories, tasty, succulent burgers with big potatoes Actually, one tip to know if the restaurant will serve you a good burger is when you order, if the waiter ask you for the cooking, that's a really good start (not a guarantee) otherwise, you are pretty sure to have crap burgers I keep the name in mind when I will be back... (before 19 years I hope)

Very friendly, efficient wait staff and delicious food. Huge portions! Very pleasant lunch. Great story on the naming of the place , too. Be sure to ask!

My friend and I placed an order here via Door Dash because he raved about how good the food was. He got a burger and I ordered the fish and chips. Huge mistake!!! The steak fries aka "chips" were hot, crisp and delicious. It was an extremely generous portion. The cole slaw was very good too. The fish was horrible!!! It was mostly breading and it wasn't completely cooked. $24.95 for a meal that I couldn't completely eat is terrible.

Have to say we visited here with high hopes after reading the review and the food did not disappoint! Very generous portions however the service was very very slow and not at all personable. I didn’t leave much of a tip as I didn’t feel the service warranted the 15% tip. To check my card statement and find that a 15% tip has been put through I am furious! Would not recommend and would recommend paying cash so that no one else experiences that!

Really nice burgers, onion rings and fries here, pointless ordering starters and desserts here unless you are a really big eater, portions are massive. Prices are good here, you can fill yourself up with food for $15 per person, alcohol was reasonably priced too. Only problem was a table the size of a postage stamp, trying to fit 2 burger plates, 2 fries, onion rings and a couple of drinks made for an uncomfortable eat.

It's a fun ambiance, and the food was pretty good. The burgers are massive and have decent flavor, but nothing that will WOW you. Steak fries were good too. Our waitress did not come and check on us once after bringing the food, which is inexcusable for the size of the place.

I ate at Jackson Hole years ago and have raved about them since. It had been awhile since I have been there in person. I have never ordered out from them. While staying at a hotel near times square I jumped on seamless to see what is near for take out. When I saw Jackson hole I thought: great, I used to love their food and they have great prices. My main decision against choosing some other place was the time for delivery. Jackson hole offers 30-40 minutes on seamless web. Well, an hour and 10 minutes later, I received my delivery...when i opened the bag it smelled amazing- but was packaged terribly. The lids to aluminum round take out containers were loose, my food had been smashed up and falling out, and when I finally got around to eating some of it- it was not as good as I had hoped. My food was kind of cold, and the wings SUCKED. I don't know what changed at that establishment but my advice would be one- update true delivery time on offered sites, and two- package with care!!

The burger was very tasty. I enjoyed the southwest burger which how to pick this thing up was the first challenge. My friend had the chili burger and was just as happy with her choice as I was. The burgers were great. The dessert was nothing special. Will be back for a burger for sure.

The burger was really juicy, I can really recommend this place! It is definitely worth the price. For me it was the perfect preparation meal before NY Marathon.

First time in New York.. those Burgers are the Best i've ever taste ! A bit expensive maybe but what a meal !

I love this place. Basic, no waiting to seat or to be served. Incredibly big homemade burguer. You can add lot of things (my favorite choice is mushrooms). If you are not so hungry, you can share the burguer.

Fantastic burgers, good fast service, great atmosphere. We felt this was a great find in New York. Huge, well cooked burgers with any number of toppings, different fries options and a large choice of drinks. Make sure to save room for dessert, the chocolate cake was fantastic!!

Really worth to eat at Jackson's. Not only because of quantily but also because of quality. Staff is very pleasant and come with a smile.

The burgers at this place are more like gourmet meals. Absolutely delicious. We also loved the ambience, an eclectic, partly western theme with old metal advertising for Pepsi Cola and other products. Although they no longer operate, the old juke box controllers around the wall add to the quirky and relaxed mood. Service was good too. Definitely a place to try.

We have always stopped by Jackson Hole for our burger fix in NYC. Once again they keep it simple with great meat and no filler. We enjoyed the Soul Burger and a Bacon Cheeseburger that I couldn't begin to finish. The menu has many other options but we always go back for the burgers.

Had a veggie burger and steak fries delivered. The food was terribly bland. I tasted very little seasoning and used packet after packet of ketchup to make it palatable enough to enjoy. Thank God I had them. They helped a little. Unlikely to order from here again.

A big ball of hashed meat cooked to your desire and served in a bun with sauces. Ok if your are very hungry. Otherwise ordinary. Place is nice but there is not enough space between tables to sit comfortably.

Come here if you're hungry and get a burger. It was entirely too much burger that was delicious. It was almost like a meatloaf burger. Many many options of burgers. I ordered the Santa Fe burger which was delicious. Great service and friendly staff!

Enjoyed our evening in the Jackson Hole ,a small western style bar & restaurant serving typical grilled foods with the emphasis on their burgers .The burgers were large with good quality meat and cooked as requested but just lacked that little kick or seasoning to make them different from other restaurants . Had a nice varied selection of extras for the burgers .Had the home fries as a side but these were nothing special . Service was friendly but the place needs to up its game a little to stand out from others with similar menus.

The small restaurant is home to an enormous burger. So big in fact, you need a knife and fork to eat it. The burgers were cooked to perfection and also offered are make your own in addition to the many on the menu. The fries were meaty and piping hot and other options include chicken and vegan burgers. You will not leave hungry but with a hunger to come back!

Oh my Word, they have the best burgers. I am from Milwaukee and had my fair share of brats and burgers. This place is not flashy from the outside but wanted to try it because of all the great reviews on trip advisor. I had a tex mex burger with avocado, tomato, onion and it is 7oz of greatness. Side note-held each half in my hand to eat and never had any grease on my hands, that is unheard of eating a burger, but it happened. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Staff at front chatted with us when we paid and made for a great overall experience. ps-homeade pickles brought to your table-yum!!!

Good selection of Burgers with the possibility of creating your own. Very good burgers, definitely one of the best places for burgers in Manhattan. The restaurant has a sort of rustic look and the service is good.

The photos online made the place look a lot larger than it is, and I went into panic mode when we got there because I wasn't keen on being in close quarters with strangers, but I'm glad we stayed. We were greeted warmly upon entering by a gentleman who CHECKED OUR VACCINATION CARDS. This meant a lot to us. It made us feel safer. The menu is huge and our server took the time to explain things to us. Everything was amazing. We had nachos, burgers, chicken parm, and truffle Mac and cheese sliders, and everyone was happy with what they ordered. Portions are plentiful. Service became a little slower as business picked up, but we were in and out in a reasonable amount of time.

I liked the turkey sandwich as a main course, and a piece of chocolate layer cake for dessert. It's a few blocks from the Queens Midtown Tunnel.

Ordered 3 Cheddar Cheeseburgers, 2 with sweet potato fries and the other with steak fries. Cannot remember what the 4th order was because we were all raving about how great the burgers were. The servers, Caralina and Bulkis were so sweet and are true gems for this location. We had a few mixed drinks, fruity and bloody marys ... just drinks ... but the food, so good. The burgers were so large we could only eat half ... will return to this location again and again, during my next business trips to NYC.

The menu is impressive here and inspires you to visit a few times to try out new items. I walked in with a craving for something savoury and was not disappointed. I adored my starter which was breaded chicken covered in cheese and slathered with a lovely tangy tomato sauce, which would go equally nice on pasta. Portion sizes big, I took half of my starter away with me! Service quick but waitress clearly bored and playing on her phone, which is fine as it wasn't busy but not in my line of vision please.

We always come to Jackson Hole on our first night of our holiday in NYC - found it by chance on our first trip as we stay at the nearby Affinia Hotel .. Now we come back here every trip Large juicy burgers and friendly service and good price Great for a quick casual burger!

I was chaperoning 27 high schoolers when we came here in 2012, and was thrilled to revisit this week. The Soul Burger called my name, & was absolutely awesome. A Jackson Hole burger is a lousy choice for somebody on their first date, because they are extremely hard to eat... the wife & I went through about 16 napkins & made quite a mess. But if your companion can handle looking at some slobbishness, this is the meal for you. A burger & waffle fries for lunch carried us through the next day's breakfast. The only negative is that they charge for soft drink refills.

What a delicious Sunday brunch! I had an omelette with mushrooms, peppers, onions and Swiss cheese. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the omelette was packed with yummy veggies. My wife had the Brie and mushroom omelette which also was terrific. You can't lose with their steak fries or home fries on the side. Come hungry because the food is plentiful, the price is right, and it is just another reason to love NYC.

I've never dined in here, but we order delivery from here at least once a month. The burgers are enormous. It's honestly maybe more meat than I want on a burger, but better to have leftovers than not enough, especially when it's this tasty. The macaroni and cheese burger is insanely good. The nachos are also really tasty. They aren't always the same, which is a little confusing, but they're always delicious. The truffle mac and cheese is also very good, as are the tacos al pastor. I can't speak to service or atmosphere, but the delivery is always fast, and the food is great.

Forget about Burger Joint, Shake Shack and other burger places. Here the burger is juicy, tender, tasteful and really huge. Service was great and they have a jukebox full of classics! Enjoy!

I loved this place the burghers are really great lovely beer, chips and all the likes. Good place! If you are looking for something "easy" it's the place to go!

Got to NYC late and wandered around for something simple... Burger was over done, bun not fresh... tomato was delightful... 😉 grilled cheese was barely cooked... If it wasn't so late and we weren't so hungry we would have scraped it and gone elsewhere... can't say I could recommend and definitely could not justify a second try... Go if you must, good luck.

Had an average meal here this afternoon.....we had salads and chicken sandwiches.....these were satisfactory.....the burgers that went to other tables looked spectacular....so..while this visit was not 5 star....I will return to try one of their burgers....friendly service and extensive menu...

I really wanted to like Jackson Hole - we chose it as our first restaurant to visit based on reviews. The burgers were popular with our group, but not the favourite during stay, and no one could finish - just too much food. Staying in a hotel doesn't allow for take home, so a bit of a waste. Probably better place if you have a really big appetite! I ordered potato skins appetizer with a side of guacamole. This was a fail. The "side" of guac turned out to be a full plate at $6 - about 10 times the size I was expecting for the skins. The skins were pooled with greese and piled with uncooked onions and there wasn't enough, just 2 skins. For us, there were better diner meals. Atmosphere great - clean, busy, and fun. Quick, friendly service (but could have taken the plate of guacamole back when I was obviously not OK with it).

First time back in about 10 years and nothing changed. Amazing burger perfectly done. Good service too.

Researched this place prior to arriving for weekend in NY, it didn't disappoint. Great burgers, good friendly service, very authentic. You need a decent appetite! Quantity didn't compromise quality. Would go again.

Went there with my family, at first we were nervous about going out to eat during this pandemic, we were craving a burger so we decided to go to a place a friend told me about and heard how well Jackson hole Restaurant was for their burgers. We also was told how conscious they are during these times and I can not be happier, WOW I am so glad I went there to get my burger, Absolutely delicious. Making this place my burger stop for now on!

Bland food. Woefully overpriced for some kitsch diner. It was recommended by a local. Thankfully our next recommendation was edible.

Watch out for this place. Advertise lunch special then they don’t have. I think they have specials on web site then u have to pay regular price when u get there. Burger. Fry and coke was on special for 11 dollars but when u get there just the burger is 11 dollats

A perfect spot for groups, Jackson Hole is a local pub with a serious selection of pub fare. The burgers are the obvious heavyweights on the menu, and with lots of options, you're sure to find one that fits your fancy. I went for the guacamole burger, and could hardly fit my mouth around the gorgeously large 14oz patty! But if you're a burger lover like me, that's a good problem. Pair your burger with house waffle fries and a milkshake or a beer, and I guarantee you won't leave hungry! Plus, the decor is quaint and old school, making the whole experience feel like a hole-in-the-wall burger joint hidden right in the middle of Manhattan! Grab a table downstairs and chow down or sit upstairs and sip on draft beer and enjoy the old-school ambience. Every serious eater needs to try Jackson Hole!

We visited here based on decent reviews on TA. Service was reasonably quick and a nice looking restaurant although the food was a bit dull and lacking in a bit of flavour. I ordered the barbeque burger and my other half it's chicken equivalent. The burger tasted of dry mince with very little flavour and the sauce was more of a runny tomato sauce than a barbeque. It was fine but nothing spectacular served with thick cut chips and salad. We didn't bother with dessert. The check came to around $50 with a drink each. A bit disappointing....

We had a build your own burger with curly fries and an Impossible Burger with onion rings. Portions were obviously very good. Overall, food and service were both good (not great), but it was kind of pricey for just "good." Digital menus at every table which were confusing to use, did NOT list the Impossible Burger (it was listed on the online website menu, but not on the digital menus at the table), misleading upcharge for curly fries instead of steak fries.

Local typical, varied menu of its kind. Great food and very courteous and helpful staff: great for both a quick meal and a more complete dinner.

Overall, the quality of the burger was exception and we all enjoyed it, even. veggie mushroom burger. The decor and overall cleanliness was average, but that is what expected as it was not designed to be a top notch location. It was the sticky tables that I did not like.

Mostly busy, but we were lucky on a Sunday 2:00 pm. Burgers are huge, no real need for sides, it will be waisting food. If you really need a side, share it.

As out of town tourists we are always looking for good food at reasonable prices in a casual place. We found it here. We had them soup of the day which was chicken noodle with loads of white breast chicken meat, noodles done just right and nice vegetables. There were many tempting choices on the menu for us. I chose something I've never had before - mushroom broccoli parmigiana. It was delicious. The broccoli and mushrooms were fresh and cooked perfectly. The tomato sauce was a great match for the vegetables - not over powering. My partner had the Bronco mushroom sandwich. The chicken was marinated and the portion was large. The service was attentive but not annoyingly so. They have lots of interesting memorabilia on the walls but best of all are the juke boxes that actually play the tunes you choose ! Great place at a great price.

We LOVED the hamburgers! They were cooked to perfection too. Considering eating a 7 oz. burger was a bit daunting, but they were so good, that we each finished it all. The menu was extensive especially with incredible options for the burgers. Plenty of veggie options as well. Staff were all nice, sometimes a little slow, especially in receiving the bill, but we would definitely go back again and highly recommend it.

This was recommended by our hotel and advised as being one of the best burger places in New York Having visited a few burger joints during our stay we would 100% agree It is not that easy to find - but that is the point, and a unique location with a huge selection of food A must do.

Good food, big portions, great value. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is buzzing and what I'd always imagined of a typical American diner. Definitely worth a visit.

After a lengthy flight and unpacking etc my partner and I decided to look around for something to eat (and a beer of course!) as we were close to 3rd Avenue. This looked like the perfect place from the outside and the staff were welcoming as we walked in, telling us to pick and table and they would come over. The tables were so cute with mini juke boxes on them (unfortunately I didn't have any change!) We both choose burgers off the menu. I chose the one with mac and cheese. Also we got a side order of fried pickles. Well it was a case of eyes bigger than our bellies. I could not believe the size of the portion. I think one dish would have been enough for us both! My burger was so fat I could barely bite into it and it was stuffed full of mac and cheese. I have to say it was excellent value. We actually took the pickles back to our rented apartment in a doggy bag! The only thing that let it down was the price of the beer (we got imported bottles) but that was something we learned round NYC. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.

Jackson Hole has remained a staple in NYC despite the many establishments that pop up from time to time. You will wait at least 20 minutes because your food is made to order. I always order the Western - this time I had the turkey burger instead of the grilled chicken. The ground turkey was definitely fresh and unprocessed. I ate beyond my capacity, but will always smile when I remember this burger.

Came here for a late dinner after a long flight and a long wait through security check at JFK. It was nice. Friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere. And a working jukebox!

Recommended by a former colleague who frequented the place several times a year when stopping in NY. Truly American atmosphere, working jukebox on the walls. I recommend the burger, curly fries and a Samuel Adams in a chilled glass! Fabulous!

Excellent experience. Due to COVID with no indoor dining, we ate outside under the heat lamps and had a great time! The staff is wonderful and attentive, and the food was delish! The burgers are the best and so are the milkshakes (we got ours to go). Outdoor seating is limited, so I would suggest making a reservation. We are so glad we went!

On my last visit to New York, I was looking for a place to enjoy a great burger. Jackson Hole was a short walk from my hotel (70 Park Avenue) and mercifully so, because it was extremely cold that night. The restaurant wasn't very full - I saw a few cops grabbing some takeout - and I could have pretty much sat anywhere. The waitress, who was very nice and very attentive, sat me near a large wooden door which I assume led to either a basement or somewhere outside because it was pretty drafty. I ordered a burger with cheese and extra mushrooms and that monster was HUGE! And completely smothered in mushrooms (some of which I ended up eating with a fork because they all wouldn't stay on the burger). I had intended to wolf down the burger and then try one of their pies for dessert but it was all I could do to finish that burger and the Vanilla cream soda I ordered. It was delicious but the Sandman came calling early that night because that burger knocked me out! Definitely go try one for yourself. Just sit in the back and away from the doors.

During a recent family event in NY I was invited to Jackson Hole. Personally I'm a burger gal and have been known to travel to try one; more times than none very disappointed. So the journey continues. The day of eating here finally arrived and I ordered a normal cheese burger and their champagne celebration. POW!! WOW!! By far the #1 burger I've ever had. The meat was extremely tender, full of flavor and juicy, not easy to eat with fork & knife (which was fine by me). The champagne celebration is a great cocktail. Very flavory and springy. Our waitresses were extremely nice young ladies. This is a definite thumbs up!!! You won't be disappointed :-)

Forget all these new burger joints and the fast food places. Jackson Hole is a small chain that specializes in burgers. No frozen patties here, just fresh ground beef cooked like you want it. Have fries and a root beer and all is good.

Visited on a quiet weekday evening. Both of us had burgers, which were huge and delicious! Tasty milkshakes as well. Great atmosphere, loved the table top jukebox.

Fat burgers in huge portion, so juicy and tasty. The Santa Fe burger comes with cold guacamole which makes the burger cold as well, you need to eat it fast!! The milkshake was not the best and the table was small for two people, but the overall experience was good thou...Will come back!

Ate here with our kids. Seated next to a jukebox which we put quarters into but our song never came on. Saw the man emptying the jukeboxes though - they are making a tidy profit out of those! Wondered if they were even connected up to the overhead music. Food took a very long time to come and ours arrived after that of people who arrived after us. The taste was good but lukewarm burgers because they were sitting cooling on the counter for 10 minutes while our nachos were made (I could see them up there). No one came back to check on us / ask if we wanted more drinks.

Typical American fast food, sincere and non-touristy. The jukeboxes on the walls are reminiscent of American TV series and you would want to insert a coin and fly into that era. Delicious burgers. The 4 of us spent 160 dollars...

My boyfriend googled places to eat in NYC before we visited over the new year. This was top of his list. It did not disappoint. I had the classic chicken burger with fries whilst he had some sort of humongous burger! All I remember was it had bacon on lol. He said it was the best ever burger he had had. Lovely atmosphere, fairly small but no problem being seated. Food served quite fast. Would highly recommend a visit. Considering you pay about $5 less for a Big Mac, this is well worth it.

Stopped in here today after many years. Burger and fries are up to about $14 which is not bad for a gourmet burger- which there definitely weren't. They were large for sure, it's just that you tasted all of the toppings- are not the meat. With the burger wars going on now in the city, I recommend you look elsewhere for your "best" burger ever.

It's a traditional American restaurant. The employees are friendly and helpfully. I ate the big and most ordered sandwich East sider Burger ( pic ) and I'm not sorry about that...

We were looking for decent American fare and definitely found it here. Burgers are cooked to order - just the way you'd want them - very generous portions, tasty and fresh. Staff were welcoming, attentive and took time to chat as we were leaving. Appears to cater for all from couples to fairly large gatherings. Memorabilia and diner decor create just the right ambience. Well worth a visit!

Was craving for a juicy old fashioned burger for a couple of days and got exactly that at this place. Don’t let the bun size deceive you, lots of delicious beef under. Service was good and food came fast.

Amazing little place, looks like nothing from the outside but as soon as you step inside it is a proper American diner. Food portions are huge! Myself and my partner both had burger platters which includes chips (fries if you are American) and some salad, there was so much food in hindsight we would have just ordered the burger on its own with a side of fries to share. Food was very good value and very tasty. Would definitely go back here again if we were ever back in NYC

Most unusual burger I’ve ever tasted. The Brie-berry deluxe burger is one I’ll remember for a long time. Who would have ever thought blueberries would be good on a burger? There are many burger places in NYC....Jackson Hole is the one you should try. All of our choices were delicious with good service to boot.

Looking for something that still served breakfast after 11:30. Bingo! Added plus, the hamburger was awesome. Could only eat half. Highly recommend.

Best damn burger I’ve ever had. Friends had recommended this place. They said it was a must if I’m ever in NYC. They were right. They had traditional burgers and creative ones. Lots of beer choices... pretty good craft beers as well.

This place is pricey, but it's all worth it. The burgers are huge. Only problem I had was that the burgers could have been seasoned a little more for a better quality taste and that the burgers fall apart so you have to eat with a fork, but that doesn't mean it's a bad burger. The place was clean. Only concern was that the restaurant was hard to find due to lack of proper display of the restaurant sign. This place is literally in a hole and must look hard to find it. Overall, the food was good, worth the high price tag and only concern is to season it a little more. Enjoy!!!!!

I had the 3 slider burgers with cheddar cheese and mushrooms and a side of sweet potato fries. The burgers were some of the best I've ever had and the fries were delicious.

Lunch at the East 64th Street life cation was great. Friendly staff, burger cooked perfectly to order. 7 ounces doesn't sound big, but it is a huge burger. One of the best burgers ever. I don't live close enough to make this a regular stop--wish that I did.

Looooooong-time fan of this restaurant! Soooo I took my whole family there (6 of us) Friday night the 17th of March! EVERYTHING was awesome...our regular burgers, mushroom burgers, Western Burgers, sweet potato fries, curly fries, onion rings, pickles.....EVERYTHING was HUGE and PERFECTLY cooked! Service was great too! Perfect burger experience! (Except, of course for the usual non-customer people looming just inside the doorway making it feel creepy. What's up with that?) We WILL DEFINITELY go back to the restaurant! For the dine-in restaurant experience, I would give it close to a PERFECT score! And sooooooo...against the wishes of my family...with NCAA Basketball in full swing...I decided to TRUST Jackson Hole with my BUFFALO WING delivery order! HUGE mistake! Apparently the person who makes the HUGE burgers and the person who chooses the TINY TINY wings are TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE! What arrived at our NCAA celebration were two orders of very tiny and DRY wings that were absolutely gross...along with an EQUALLY dried up order of potato skins. Take home message here. Although they have wings on their menu, they are NOWHERE even close to being as good as their burgers or their AWESOME pickles. For all the reasons I listed above, I am still going to give them a 4 on the power of their burgers AND because I believe that people can just have a bad day. I am hoping that perhaps we just got the dregs of the day that had been warmed so long they got TINY, real TINY. Regardless, I am going to cut them some slack based on history and still give them a 4. Just be cautious about the wings. And certainly don't risk an important occasion on them. Great restaurant just has bad wings.

So Jackson Hole is a classic NYC burger place specializing in burgers and they have been doing it for over 30 years. My mushroom burger was huge and delicious and the service excellent. Great Burger and excellent beer $20

After a long day of travelling we just wanted a burger and a beer. This hit the spot. Nice homemade burgers, good choice of toppings and nice beers.

In this rustical place you can taste many stuff of New York plate, based on Hamburger, fries, chicken, cooked in any mode. There's also a large list of sweet you can taste. Be carefull because this plate are very big also for one person! Come in prepeared!

Have been coming here since the 80ties and was never disappointed. If you want to taste an excellent burger and enjoy friendly service, this is the place be. Consistent quality since more than 40 years ! Must mention the waitress on service Monday August 27th around 5.30 pm. When I paid the check, which was $ 28 including the tip, I thought that I gave her a 20 and a 10 note bill. “ Give me 2 dollars” I said but she returned 32 dollars... “Lady, you are mistaken” I said, and she “ no sir, you gave me 50 note and a 10 note !!” Isn’t that great, meeting honest people ! I thanked her and gave her another tip to show my gratitude.

This place has been here for decades--and there's a logical reason for that. The burgers taste like burgers should--and they're huge enough to share, which we did. Highly recommend.

Food is always good. Been eating here for many years. Service has declined. Used to have great service, as soon as you were seated nice cold water was served and pickles. Now you have to ask for the water, the lemon and the pickles which you never get.

Hearty meaty grub Couldn't decide what extras to have with my burger so went for mushrooms (so many) and Gorgonzola type cheese. Was full up after all the fries, mushrooms and hate to say but actually too much cheese, became a bit sickly. Stick to a more simple burger and good luck trying to open your mouth wide enough so can take a bite, without knife and fork. The men from fire brigade on the next table didn't struggle though

We were looking for a casual lunch location for a business meeting. The Jackson Hole on Third Avenue was recommended. We arrived early in the waitress was extremely pleasant and made us feel comfortable even though we arrived 30 minutes before our customer. Very nostalgic, Western and atmosphere. As much bar as it is restaurant. Jukeboxes on the wall that actually work (bring some quarters - see the picture below). As an appetizer, they bring pickles to the table. And boy are they scrumptious. While they have salads, Tex-Mex, chicken, and many other options, the burgers are their specialty. And boy are they special. Their tagline, "Home of the 7 ounce burger" is misleading because the burgers are much larger. Very juicy and flavorful. I highly recommend this place. Helpful hint: if you're meeting somebody here, confirm the location as there are multiple Jackson Hole Burger joints in New York. Enjoy.

This is a tale of 2 sides. The food here was enjoyable with great burgers served. The issue was with service and the inability to apologise. The food and drinks were ordered with the drink quickly arriving.we had specified we wanted the appetiser combo as a starter with the burgers to follow. The combo was served and we were to.d that the burgers were also ready???? We stated we did not want the buyers upset as we wanted to eat the start first. The combo was served but the burgers just sat on the hot plate which was not even switched on or illuminated. As soon as the starters were finished the buyers were brought off the hot plate and served (within 20 seconds of the starter being cleared). The burger and fried were cold and as a result were sent back. We could see the kitchen and saw that the burgers were cleared of this toppings and put back on the griddle with the topping reapplied. Burger had been ordered medium rare but by the time they were reheated a 2nd time they were past Fries had not been reheated or dropped back in the fryer so when served again they were cold. I asked to speak to the manger and informed how unhappy I was. We were offered asked if we wanted a dresser but at no point was an apology made. I informed the manager that service was poor and as a result I was not prepared to pay any service charge that had automatically been applied. This was taken off the bill but the staff were rude and dismissive and again still no apology was given for the poor service provided The starter and the burger when hot were delicious and of a good quality but the service made for a negative experience. I would not recommend nor would I ever go back. Things go wrong and the manager and team should accept this and be prepared to make an apology if they have fallen short of expectations

If you are looking for a trendy burger joint full of hipsters, this is not the place for you. I have been there twice in the past 2 months...once for dinner and once for lunch. the dinner was with the German based president of our company that wanted a big, American burger. The second time was with a friend who also wanted a big burger. Notice the word "bib"? This is not a burger for wimps...this is over 1/2 pound of burger. The meat is very good...not pressed so it is very juicy even when it is cooked above medium rare. Nice, thick cut steak fries are a nice change from the mass produced small fries. My only quibble is that I asked for my burger rare ( I know, but I will always think that the meat should be a degree away from mooing to be perfect) and although I got it on the first, dinner trip bit it came out medium for lunch...and it was less busy for the lunch time visit. No matter, it was a great meal and both times the person I was with came away full and happy.as did I.

Came here on the Sunday evening on Labor day weekends. Ordered cheeseburger medium-rare and onion ring platter. Burger: Large, maybe half a pound. Cooked as ordered, maybe slightly more to rare side. Didn't think it was seasoned well. 3/5 Bun: Was a liitle dry. The bun actually broke up after the first bite. 2/5 The plate of pickles were tasty, slightly tangy and garlicky. Onion rings were nice and crunchy and ordinary.

I used to frequently go to the Jackson Hole in the East '60s when I worked nearby in the 1980's and got many people hooked on their burgers. Tried out this one in the East 30s for the first time and I am happy that they are still great Bonus- steak fries are great also

At the western themed Jackson hole, whose decor was fantastic and nostalgic, is about the only good thing I can say about it. I ordered a chili burger, and the chili was watery with absolutely poor flavor. Their waffle cheese fries consisted of three slices of American cheese over soggy fries. Had no choice but to detox myself at the Thirsty Scholar not far away.

Loved it here, small and traditional restaurant. Loads of different burgers to choose from. You’re asked how well you want your burger cooking which I like and they’re huge. Highly recommend this place if you want a good burger.

Two of us order medium rare burgers, one was rare the other overdone and dry. Definitely not a place to get a burger.

It took me so long to eat in this place, and I wish I came sooner! I'm in this area a lot and one day just decided to check it out, since it looked really fun on the outside. Very chill and fun vibe. Amazing food and great service! I had the Mac & Cheese wrap with waffle fries and it was AMAZING!! More of a low key place, but one not to miss!

I don’t know if there are any cities in the world that serve more burgers than in New York, or how many can be served in a day, but I’m sure there aren’t many better places than this to try them... The site is spectacular, with as many options as you can think of to choose from. Typical American burgers of size XXL with which you enjoy staining the whole face of cheese and its sauces. The meat, amazing. Fully recommended. I left here talking like Aznar when he went to Texas.

Jackson Hole is shear gluttony! I was looking for a takeaway place and fancied some American food. This place had good reviews so decided to check it out. Rang up to order and 20 minutes later I was trekking back to hotel with what felt like enough food to feed a family of four. Not only were the portions immense, but tasty too and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend trying out Jackson Hole.

After trying many of the burger places in NYC I find myself drawn back to any of the Jackson Hole Burger places in New York and Queens. No matter how you dress up the burger it all come down to the meat mix. Jackson Hole and their 7 oz burger mix never fails to provide good comfort food.They also have a large family friendly low cost menu for the whole family. The menu has all day breakfast, Tacos and Nachos, chicken wraps and much more. Dessert is not bad either.When all else fails and you need a plce to eat, come in and enjoy

Jackson Hole is a hamburger restaurant with a few NYC locations. In a city where restaurant turnover is very high, they gave been around forever. My wife and I went to one location while dating over 35 years ago. We came across it on a recent NYC visit. It was just as good. The restaurant is a pub type place decorated with posters and western memorabilia. You go for the hamburgers, which are about seven ounces and quite solid, they do a great burger. They probably have 20+ variations on hamburgers. You can order them on their own or as a platter with fries. Although they serve drinks too, we had our burgers with water. They have an attentive staff who keep the water glasses filled. Jackson Hole was just as great as the day we first discovered it. It has withstood the test of time!

If you happen to be in Manhattan... and you wanna try the typical american burger... you have to try the ones at Jackson's Hole. They are enormous, the fries are amazing and the guys that work there are so nice! We even had Argentine wine there! Literally a hole in the wall. Not a place for private conversation, tables on top of each other. Hard to hold in your hands, but very good burger. Messy (juicy/greasy) but clearly good quality, fresh ingredients.

Needed a quick lunch between medical visits and chose this burger spot for lunch. Food was really good, served quickly (by NY standards) and the wait staff was excellent. Burgers were cooked to our specifications and the toppings and sides were fresh and tasty. The décor is not trendy - but this is a burger place not a "micro-brew pub". the things I care about - fresh food, clean tables, pleasant wait staff were just right - we've been there twice in two months and will go again.

The burger was horrible. We were both very disappointed. The waitress forgot to bring us our food. It was sitting up there for at least 20 minutes. We won't be going back.

If I could, I would go back and have another one right now. Among the best burgers we've ever had. The service a little slow, but it was worth it. I had the one with ham and bacon, my partner with the avocado cream. They were fantastic. The sweet potato fries too. Only negative point: all the pictures are really ugly. Both on Google, and here, and on their website: the pics of the burger don't make them any justice. The patties are thick and juicy, the ingredients tasty, the bun nice. Sadly went only once, would definitely go back.

This was a great place to get burgers. There are plenty of options for vegetarians. My vegetarian panini was delicious. The atmosphere is also very cozy and nice - they have a "wild west" theme. It looks like a place where the locals hang out, so it's not touristy. Good service and friendly staff.

We had a dinner in 9 without reservation and they found the table even if the local is quite little. Plates are expensive and main entrees come without side, but the quality is really excellent as well as the quantity. We had a problem with air conditioner that was leaking water and the owner solved it and offered us a beer without asking anything. If the prices were a little cheaper it would be perfect

Dropped in for a quick burger and beer before a movie nearby. Sat in front at the bar - bartender was very welcoming and took my order quickly. Took a bit of time for food to arrive so I started in on my beer. Burger was huge! I ordered it medium but it was pretty thoroughly cooked. I was disappointed in the bun - just like you get from the grocery store, and not nearly large enough for the buger - and in the toppings. The lettuce was skimpy and the mushrooms, while plentiful, were not very tasty. I managed most of the burger with my hands before it just totally overwhelmed the bun and fell apart. It was tasty but was somehow just a tad too much. I hadn't been to a Jackson Hole in about 20 years, but the burgers are still gigantic. If you're really hungry and in the mood for a burger this will not disappoint.

Great true American restaurant!! Anyone visiting America needs to go to a Jackson Hole. The decor will have you gazing at some of the history America has to offer. Food is oversize. Staff are friendly. Very good experience all in all. Highly recommended.

Visited recently with family who love there burgers.... & if u luv burgers then this is a must... Small busy but friendly place Greeted & served by friendly staff Great food.... Starters , main courses & deserts washed down with a few beers... Portions huge & really good value aswell And last but not least a working juke box that takes quarters!!!! Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening & would always return if we find ourselves in NYC!!

Whenever in New York, I try to get a burger here. Just the right texture, toasted bun, and great fries.

When you walk in, you know you're in a place that's casual and friendly. The decor makes the place look like a Wyoming saloon. The burgers are massive. Portions all around are big. But I found the burger meat to be a bit more crumbly than flavorful. Mine also happened to be a bit overdone. It's a decent meal, but I've had better burgers.

Being a dinner, I would not put this down as the best food in the city, but the portions are huge. Two hamburger platters is enough food for three people if you don't mind sharing. The waiters are very attentive.

What a great find! After eating at much higher priced places during our stay we found this place reasonably priced and the food was amazing probably the juiciest burger I have ever eaten! And the Mac and cheese was also great! Would highly recommend to anybody in the area wanting a huge meal for a good price! The space dust ipa was served cold and was also great! Highly recommended!

I was in NY with friends and we checked TripAdvisor for suggestions on where to eat. We picked Jackson Hole and we were not disappointed. The menu is extensive, with burgers, chicken sandwiches, fajitas and salads. I don't think I have ever seen bigger burgers. I had one of the chicken sandwiches and it was delicious, cooked to perfection and huge! We were so happy with our meals that we went back on another night. Excellent service, nice staff. The desserts looked gorgeous too, but we were always too full to try them. Would definitely be back!

Server was great. Good plentiful, but kind of mid. We all felt like it was okay, just not outstanding. I don’t know that we’d return though.

We came here for the second time. I can honestly say that this is the best burger I ever had. Forget the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and Central Park, this is why you visit New York. The burgers are absolutely delicious and you won’t leave hungry. I can recommend the Soul Burger it was amazing. The price is fair and the atmosphere is relaxed, no need to dress up. We paid roughly $50 for two burgers (one with fries) and two beers. Also, staff and owner is really friendly with excellent service.

Let me start by saying that I have been going to this place for 20 years and I appreciate its burgers as they are exceptional; however this time something went wrong, not with the food but with the bill. As often happens, a 18% gratuity was added to the bill, passing it off, when asked for clarification, as "normal service". The waitress's attitude changed when I asked her to redo the bill and specified that I was not a tourist, I would say rather aggressive. Pay attention because this is a recurring phenomenon, confirmed by other friends. And to say that Jackson Hole is a chain, not a little restaurant on 3rd Ave.

Burger was big. served at the right temperature on the first go round. Burger and fries were tasty. The service was lackluster which is the only reason I did not give higher remarks. Seating is also very tight, hard to move between tables. portions and pricing make this a good value for any meal.

We visited this restaurant because of the trip advisor, and was very disapointed. The restaurant seems dirty and small. And I also got a piece of hair in my food, so didt finish my meal. My boyfriend thought the food was Ok, but not as good as we hoped.

Probably the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Burgers are good and are huge so I’d suggest splitting one with a friend. They also automatically add the tip, which I missed, so look at your bill closely. Fun Cowboy décor. Would certainly go back.

OMG! Burgers are huge! tho you're already advised by their menu as it says 7oz burgers! I ordered one with bbq and i think i regretted not long after as it had loads of bbq dripping down the burger :( however, this didnt put me off, if i ever go back I'll just order another burger, that's not a problem :) my bf loved his burger and we were both happy for what we got!

This was my first time at Jackson Hole Burgers and it will not be my last. The food was fantastic, especially the burger with blueberry jam, bacon and brie on it. I know what you're thinking "Blueberry jam? On a burger?!" But it was phenomenal. Highly recommended. Only thing I wasn't wowed with was how it took the waitress more than 10 minutes to flag down to pay for the bill (hence not a perfect 5 stars, but the food was 5 stars all the way).

I love our Chicago burgers and had to check the burgers here. Jackson has some epic burgers. The fries are huge and crusty as they should be and they serve quick, didn't wait long. Good price for good burgers
