Just had brunch with my kids at this gem of a place. This was by far the best french toast we've had in the city. Kudos to the chef. Our bartender Danny made amazing Strawwberry lemonade that my daughter absikutrky loved. Perfect service, great food - what else do you need? Definitely coming back.

The staff here is so friendly and the place is filled with beautiful plants. We sat at the bar with a great DJ playing behind us. Manny made our drinks which were wonderful. I had the beets and the chicken - both were delicious. The manager Danny checked in with us which was nice. It’s a convenient midtown spot just 1 block from the park. Will def be back.

After a great charity event for Valentino we came to celebrate and unwind. We were shown the best time and given the most cozy table to talk and discuss our night. Danny and Ediliana reminded us what New York hospitality was all about. If attitude reflects leadership, whoever hired the food and beverage events manager Danae did an outstanding job ! Her kindness her can do attitude or willingness to go above and beyond is remarkable! Today in the extreme heat I went into Jams to make a reservation for a table of five . The New York City heat had gotten to me! Danae was attentive, assuring I had a table quickly getting me a glass of ice cold water, and offering anything else she could do in a very, very busy city with millions of people you don’t often run across somebody as kind as her she’s an asset to her organization Both the food in the service were outstanding. We plan on coming back many many times due to her kindness.!

A very nice place to have breakfast , the full breakfast is a very good option if you go with something hungry, very rich. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good option if you are on 6th Avenue, very close to central park

Too bad what happened to us. They forgot to bring us the food. We've been in here for 40 minutes with a schedule to go through since we came from tourists. They brought us quick infusions and never the food we ordered! Honestly a bad experience. I respect breakfast, it's normal, nothing otherworldly. If you are a tourist, I definitely suggest you look for another place.

Jams was so amazing and super convenient- located inside the 1 Hotel Central Park. I was in town for business and at the end of some very long days, I had the pleasure of seeing Marco at the bar. Each evening he remembered me and made the most perfect martini with a twist- a welcome nightcap. He was lovely, and incredibly hospitable- thank you Marco!

We went for coffee and desert on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated outside which was nice and ordered coffee and the desert cookie which were two cookies, one chocolate chip and one peanut butter. Worked for us as I do not like chocolate chip cookies and love peanut butter and my friend loves chocolate chip cookies. The waitress was lovely. The coffee was not bad. The cookies were a decent size and came out warm . They were crispy on top and soft inside. The reason for the average rating is that the peanut butter cookie did not taste of peanut butter in any way. It had some chips in them that I assume were peanut butter flavour but we all tried the cookie and no one could taste the peanut butter at all. I told the waitress as I wanted her to let the kitchen know that they are selling a peanut butter cookie but had zero peanut butter taste. She came back and apologized and they very kindly did not charge us for the cookies. If the cookie had a peanut butter taste it would have been delish.

We had a great time at Jams. It is located in the 1 Hotel in Manhattan Upper East Side. My wife and I had fantastic cocktails and my daughters had the coconut cream fizz (they say it’s the best drink they ever had!!) and the appetizers were amazing. Get the stuffed mushrooms! Egypt was so friendly and the overall atmosphere was fun and my wife said it was such a cute boutique vibe.

We had the most amazing French toast and lobster benedict. Egypt was so wonderful and she made our brunch so special! Will absolutely be back asap!!

Excellent quality food, beautiful ambiance, and impeccable service, JAMS hit the spot. I had the perfectly prepared chicken paillard and a lovely dining experience here today. We had a few questions about the menu and was offered above and beyond assitance from Egypt who somehow miraculously anticipated our every need. I used to struggle finding a reliable, quality dining experience in this neighborhood but I am confident I have just established my new go-to in the area. Highly recommend JAMS!!

Jams was our favourite restaurant for breakfast whilst on holiday in NYC. We went twice as loved the food and stunning decor. Couldn't fault this restaurant.

We visited Jams with our son and had a wonderful experience! Our server, Sam, was fantastic and made us feel so welcome. We had a 5:00 dinner reservation before a Broadway show. We should have mentioned to our server that we had tickets because we almost didn’t make the show. I appreciate not being rushed so it’s only an issue if you are on a timeline. We had a starter of focaccia that was a little dry but I liked the flavor of the miso garlic butter. My sister had the Spring salad and she said it was good. For the main she had the Risotto & I had the Caramelle Primavera. One of the ingredients listed was borage & I asked what it was and the server said white wine sauce. I think it was an ingredient in the sauce. In any event it was a light Spring pasta dish which is what I was wanting before a show. Atmosphere of the restaurant is nice.

I visited Jams on a Saturday evening and I was very pleased with the food and the atmosphere, Marco at the bar was attentive even he made one of his specialties and I was impressed with the taste of his drinks, I would recommend this place a million times.

Sam was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We ordered the scallops, gnocchi, and apple pie and each dish was balanced and absolutely delicious. This paired with the warm ambience left us with full bellies and a memorable New York experience. We came here for an early dinner. We split the beet salad, which had a Greek yogurt-type thick sauce with red beets and thinly-sliced raw yellow beets. It was unusual but good. One main was the salmon, which was a huge portion for $44. The other was 2 very small popsicle lamb chops in a baba ganoush and onion sauce that was delicious, though pricey at $56. We would not have ordered it had we known how small it was. We later asked our server, Daniel, about the size of the entree. He confirmed it was small but tasty.

I’d been looking forward to eating at Jams restaurant and the place lived up to its reputation. Loved the ambiance, plant decor and overall feel of the space. The waiter Tarell was a delight. The food was above par. Cannot give enough praise about this place.

From the second we walked in, Sam our hostess made us feel right at home. Super welcoming, super sweet—just the kind of energy you want when you’re about to have a great meal. Scott, our server, was an absolute gem. Not only was he super attentive, but he also recommended an elderflower cocktail that ended up being perfect. Refreshing, light, and just the right amount of floral. And let’s talk about the wagyu burger—juicy, flavorful, and honestly, one of the best I’ve had in a while. Shoutout to Manager Menus for keeping everything running smoothly and checking in to make sure we were having a great time. It’s little things like that that make a place feel special. Jams totally delivered, and I’ll 100% be back!

Delicious food, for starters we ordered hummus and a focaccia… the pomegranate in the hummus makes it very special. Then we ordered the wagyu and falafel burgers, both of them were delicious. Thanks a lot to Rowan, our waiter, he was very kind and patient, he even gave us a cheesecake because we were celebrating a birthday. Excellent service and food. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing service from the bar staff! My colleague and I were staying at the hotel, and Marco went above and beyond to serve us when they were closing. They made sure we were served dinner, and didn’t go to bed hungry! The customer service was 10/10 and the food was amazing!

We were excited to try Jams, a Jonathan Waxman restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful, and the atmosphere is lively. Service was professional and efficient, and the food was well prepared and seasoned. We really enjoyed our entrees of the swordfish and artichokes as well as the roasted cod with asparagus and green peas. The only reason why it didn't rise to 5 stars is that the pacing was a bit fast and the food was great but not as exceptional as we had in other NYC restaurants

Had a quick stay at the 1 and had a great breakfast the first day and lunch the following day and despite the place bustling and busy, we were so well taken care of by the attentive and lovely staff. Jackie, Mensa, Tarell and Rowan were wonderful, had to call them out.

The restaurant already draws the attention of those who are passing by the street by the decor, but the food is also wonderful. I ordered a salmon with a sauce a bit spicy, but very tasty. I recommend!

Jams is a truly wonderful restaurant located on the first floor of the First Hotel in New York. It is a magical place with an exceptional atmosphere, outstanding service, and genuinely kind people who make you feel welcome from the very first moment. The service here is excellent — attentive, professional, and warm without ever being intrusive. You can really feel that guests are treated with care, not just efficiency. We would especially like to highlight Saydimar, who made our experience truly special. She creates a feeling of genuine care rather than the usual impersonal service. She is incredibly pleasant, thoughtful, and subtle in her approach, while also having excellent knowledge of the menu and being able to guide you with confidence and ease. My husband and I are deeply grateful to her for the attention, warmth, and care she showed us. Experiences like this are what make a restaurant unforgettable. We will definitely be coming back.

Jams was a great restaurant for us in the past. The Chicken in particular was magnificent, crisp on the outside, succulent on the inside with a sauce that took it out even higher. Not this time. Not crisp on the outside, dry and almost unpalatable on the inside. We left the major portion of the dish go back to the kitchen. The sauce that was a punchy accent in the past was reduced to a schraded green paste put on the meat like a mud mask, thick and flavorless. We gave that opinion to the waitress but asked not to have anything taken off. We want our feedback no be unconditioned by compensation. We did ask her if we could end the meal with the best dessert, and she recommended the apple crisp. We hoped for a good ending, but got uncooked apples and soggy pastry. The whole thing was a complete fall from grace. We won't be back.

Very high priced. The wooden back chairs are uncomfortable. The food was very good but not great. The salad was uninspired, and scallops were better without the garnish. However, the stuffed mushrooms and butternut squash soup were EXCELLENT.

we had lunch at this place after booking online. the place is very very nice. The food isn't that great but the chicken is very good. Prices are in line with NY, not cheap at all.

Our meal was delicious. I had the stuffed chicken breast specially prepared for women’s week. My husband had the pork chop. My meal was suggested by Ediliana after taking time to inquire about our food allergies and food preferences. Her service and kindness were beautifully carried out.

Here with family including two grandchildren. We all had a good experience. Food was good for the girls as well as the adults. Chicken tenders with fries were good but a VERY large serving. The endive salads were excellent. I also enjoyed the scallops. We were eating light so no desserts and mostly salads and apps. There is a DJ playing loud music here.

I loved the plants and decor, and the food was fresh and well prepared, I had the salmon everything Bagel with an expresso martini, and both were to die! I’m very picky about my Expresso Martinis and they nailed it, just the right amount of sweet, and the staff were amazing. I love the energy of the entire establishment!

I’m from Southern California and was in New York visiting a cousin. I had quite a few cocktails during my visit but the ones Marco made for me at Jams were what I was looking for and exactly what my trip needed! He asked what spirit I preferred and he whipped up absolutely delicious craft cocktails. After the first one I wanted another of the same but he asked if he could make something different for the 2nd round. I trusted him and went with it. The 2nd round did not disappoint! It was just as exciting and delicious as the first. The flavors were so perfect! Not all bartenders are the same. The ambiance and aesthetics of the Hotel lobby and bar are beautiful as well. I’m truly grateful I got this experience. Thank you Marco for serving me the best cocktails in New York

A beautiful and relaxing spot in midtown, and a delicious lunch (and dessert!) too. The strawberries and pistachio gelato were exceptional, as was the Wagyu burger

Emda is amazing!!! He was probably the best waiter we had during our 6 day stay in New York. He is so attentive, didn’t forget a detail in our order, timely, and had a smile on his face the entire time. The food was also incredible. Highly recommend Jams. Ask for Emda as your waiter :)

From the moment I walked into Jam’s at the 1 Hotel, I felt genuinely welcomed. The hostess set the tone right away with her warm and polite demeanor, and not long after, the manager Glori stopped by to personally check in and chat — something you don’t often see, and it made the experience feel even more special. I sat at the bar, where the service was just as impressive. The old fashioned I ordered was fantastic — perfectly balanced and smooth. The bartender, Carlos was both knowledgeable and friendly, helping me choose the right cocktail and making the whole experience enjoyable. Marcos and Jacqueline were incredibly attentive as well, making sure everything was just right throughout the evening. Marcos even took the time to chat with me about the menu and drinks, which gave the whole night a personal touch. I liked the fact everyone who interacted with me introduced themselves. The staff being so personable is the reason I even wanted to take the time to write this review because it rarely happens, especially when it’s a busy bar in midtown New York City. Overall, Jam’s delivers not only with its cocktails but also with an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. When the staff makes you feel like a valued guest instead of just another customer, you know you’ve found a spot worth returning to.

I went to Jams with my son, 10y.o. I told them he wants to become a chef and they seated us next to the kitchen, where he could watch all the action! Also, they invited him to have a tour of the kitchen ( all of it, refrigerator rooms included!) with the chef. He was amazed! And when we thought this couldn’t be any better, we were surprised with a free cheesecake. Honestly, these are the kindest, nicest, more welcoming people of the world! And the brunch was perfect!

Love Jams, the food is delicious and fresh and the restaurant itself is beautiful, covered with plants. Most recently came with my 3 very young kids and the staff was so kind and accommodating, they really went above and beyond to make us comfortable! Pastries and French toast are delicious, and the salads are so refreshing. Always a first stop when I’m in the city, highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem. We have been to NYC many times before & had not ever been to Jams. We spent the afternoon walking around Central Park. This restaurant is right outside the park. It has a fun garden feel to it. Our service was excellent. The food was delicious!! The sangria was so refreshing after walking around Central Park for a few hours. The JW potatoes are a must. Yummy! I had halibut & my husband had the steak. Both of us were happy with our choices. The meals are a nice size too! You won't leave hungry. We look forward to dining here again!!

Big thanks to our waitress Sam who made sure we tried the best of everything - pesto gnocchi with the best pesto I’ve ever had, BIG scallops flavored with lemon, and the most unique apple pie dessert that was to die for. Great atmosphere, Sam had a great vibe - will def be coming back.

If you’re looking for a cozy but classy ambience, Jams is the place! The service was OUTSTANDING ! Took my friends out for drinks and was served by the best , Marco made sure my drinks were tasty and gave the best desert recommendations, with a server like him who needs a menu! Will definitely be back very soon!

I went to Jams for a celebratory dinner with friends; I could not recommend it enough. Our server Edi, was so attentive and gave us the best recommendations. We had an allergy in our party, and she was incredibly patient and accommodating as we navigated the menu. My favorite menu items were the 'Jams Kale Salad' (literally so good, I would go back to get this salad again) and the 'JW Chicken'--honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We ate 'family style'; I tried a little of everything and was pleasantly surprised to enjoy everything I tried. The atmosphere was perfect; the food was excellent. We had so much fun; we left happy and full. Shoutout to Edi again, our star waiter, for her thoughtful attention and care--she made our dining experience even better.

This restaurant is a block off Central Park associated with 1 Hotel Central Park. The good: The restaurant is beautiful with a relaxing and comfortable decor. They locally source as much as they can. We were there for brunch. They have a Saturday and Sunday brunch menu. The service was very good. Their Full Brunch entree will fill you up. It has eggs (I had perfect poached eggs), tomatoes, avocado, choice of toast, choice of bacon or sausage, and mushrooms. It was well prepared. The buttermilk pancakes are excellent. Be sure and get a side of their JW Potatoes with rosemary and pecorino. They are excellent, giant portion, share them. Excellent coffee. The not so good: The butter for the toast and pancakes is an icebox cold slab. Room temp whipped butter would be a nice addition. With a name like Jam's, and locally sourced food, we expected a few choices of Jams or preserves. They have none. Their brunch cocktails are expensive. The Bloody Mary is pepper heavy, just something to note depending on your preference. You can have an enjoyable brunch here, then go for a walk in the park.

We had a fantastic meal here! All of the food we ordered was fantastic. My son said the steak he ordered was the best steak he's ever tasted!

Honestly one of the best places to stop by in New York city!! Definitely top level service. Marco offered us great hospitality and his recommendations were just perfection.It went well with the ambience and the vibe. I went with family but will spread the word to friends and colleagues!! What a time!!

Review for Jams at 1 Hotel Central Park I had the most incredible birthday dinner at Jams, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Danny, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure our evening was special. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. Saydimar was our server and she made our experience so memorable. To top it all off, they surprised me with champagne and a selection of desserts on the house, which made the celebration even more memorable. The warm, inviting atmosphere and impeccable service truly made for a perfect night. If you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience in NYC, Jams is the place to go! I’ll definitely be back.

Amazing food and atmosphere, but the waiter charged us twice for the same food and sweared the money will be back to our cards. Since we have non-American cards, it will take a while to get the money back, so it was a very unpleasant event at the end.

Had a great breakfast, served by Rowan how was very attractive. The salmon Bagel is well worth a try. We also had the green shaksuka also well worth a try.

Delicious food but the breakfast menu is not very extensive, the options are somewhat limited. The pancakes are not as delicious as they looked.

I stopped in for a drink and stayed. Great quality food and drink in a great atmosphere. There are hundreds of plants producing oxygen and greening up the place. Definitely put it on your list to visit!

I recently went to Jams and I'm absolutely hooked! The combination of food flavors was incredible and the presentation was top-notch. I rarely write reviews, but the vibes at 1 hotel were top tier! We went for apps and drinks and I couldn’t decide but Tarell recommended the watermelon margarita which was delicious. 10/10 service he made our experience memorable as we haven’t had the kindest servers in New York City recently so he impressed us.

We asked to be seated in the bar and had excellent service from Hannah as well as personal attention from bartenders Carlos and Marcos. All three of them were attentive and had tremendous suggestions. Both Carlos and Marcos asked us about our preferences as they mixed specialty cocktails for us and they were tremendous! Love the atmosphere as well! A great time- we went back a second time in our five day visit.

I came to Jams for brunch with my mentor and to catch -up after some months. The food and the service were both incredible. Tarell and Rowan made sure all of our needs were taken care of and provided great recommendations on what to eat. I had the Jams Chicken sandwich which was absolutely delicious. 10/10 recommend for brunch and hope you get to enjoy the kindness of Tarell and Rowan!

Starting off, I have to mention Jacqueline and Monsur, the service was honestly above and beyond. They were so attentive and anticipated every need- I haven’t had service like this in months. The food was very tasty and the selections were excellent- recommend the barata, gnocchi and the steak was incredibly tender and tasty. The 1 hotel is always good to me but this is one of the best places in New York for a comfortable and gourmet dinner. Will be back

This was such a delightful and unexpected experience. Yes this bar is connected to a beautiful hotel but what made the experience truly beautiful was the hospitality and incredible cocktails. This spot was an amazing. I went in on Monday and was immediately greeted with smiles. Helped by a staff member named Greg who recommended the delicious French toast. This restaurant is a 10 for me.

Really stylish restaurant. Came in for drinks and light bites with our realtor who picked the spot. Lots of great options and everything tasted delicious. Loved loved loved our server Daniel C - he provided fantastic recommendations, excellent service and was so personable. Actually every staff member we encountered was friendly and on top of their jobs. This place had a great vibe - highly recommend.

What a beautiful atmosphere! This place is gorgeous. I love the plants and the vibe. Rowan was our waiter and he provided excellent service. He was attentive and accommodating. We ordered the asparagus tortellini and it was 10/10. Would definitely come back!

The restaurant is very well located (near Central Park). However, there is little diversity in the menu, the fairly high prices and the food without greater attractiveness. We chose to eat only a small table of colds and we took two waters.

Always love coming to jams. Egypt the manager is so warm and wonderful. Went on a Wednesday night and the dj was fabulous as was the meal. Shout out to chef Carrina who came to touch our table.

Jams was highly recommended. The staff at 1 Central Park hotel were very inviting. Looked good. Entered Jams and the nightmare began! Business suits man-spreading at the bar. Hard to get by with a cane. Mater D person inattentive and distracted. Asked people behind us if they had reservations. Then as we stood right in front of her, she asked if we had reservations and we said no. She said well there’s seating at the bar. Sat at the bar and the bartender took his merry old time. We had to escape jams before a major meltdown occurred. if you need to be seen at jams, good luck with the rest of your life!
