We stay at the Best Western on the opposite corner, so this is the closest place around for a quick bite. Bar food, but VERY GOOD bar food. Always busy with locals and out-of towners alike.

Rowdy, raucus, great after work.

Went there with my date, and was overcharged for drinks. The bartender chose to give her a 32 ounce plastic cup of very watered down margarita. I returned to the bar (no service at the table) and added another shot to make it taste like anyone would expect. I then saw other customers with normal sized (8 ounces) margaritas. I asked how come our was so big? He (a tall thin bald guy) said that we had to order the “baby margarita” if we wanted the smaller one and pointed to a chalkboard out of view but not on menu. I felt he was not being honest and ripped off. The Scrimp was so tasteless but the fried fish was good. The french fries were soggy and tasteless also. Bad food, bad service and dishonest management. Don’t go there. Much better choices west side of Manhattan.

No air con, a bit dusty, but don’t be put off if you like a cold beer and a good value snack! Hubby read about this place and wanted to visit, and we were glad we did. A real taste on NY, friendly but real! We even bought a t-shirt! Worth a visit 👍🏼

FOR some inexpensive Beer and Pub Fare at the Seaport. one of the first places to be reopened after SANDY. Fun environment, it's not 5 stars. But if you're looking for a quick but not fancy drink and something to eat, it's a Classic NYC watering hole. All the Bra's are still onthe Ceiling!

This is a great place, friendly, and cheap, the food is bar style with a NYC flair. Great taste served on a paper plate and beer in a styrofoam cup 32 oz import for 9$ you won't find that in too many places.

We stumbled across this bar while in the neighborhood and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It is a true dive bar, but well worth the visit. Jeremy even came over and talked to us about where we were from and gave all of us a bumper sticker! Drinks are reasonably priced and the staff was very nice. We ordered some appetizers and they were all great. Definitely on my list of places to visit the next time I'm in New York.

This is strictly a fun, fratty, beer garden. FOOD is only remarkable when you're loaded.

As the sign states inside the door this is a dive bar. Bras are hanging from the ceiling with messages to the NYFD everywhere. The beer is cold and cheap for NYC and if you ask for large it comes in a styrofoam cup. The food is also very reasonable and the next time I am in New York I will be heading back to this place.

Casual and comfy ambiance with very original details :). Cool place to sip a beer and chat with friends, specially if seating on the veranda.

Jeremy was super. Even bought a round. Food was good and the bartender Primo was great. Well they are all Primo there. Highly recommend stopping when your in south Sea Port

First time in NYC and my wife and I stumbled across this gem of a pub. Yep, bras hanging from the ceiling and a wall decorated with tee shirts from firefighters from all over The States. We got chatting to a couple of locals who explained that this was a favourite watering hole for USA wide firefighters who were assisting their NYC colleagues after the 9/11 atrocity, and donated their tee shirts. This struck a chord with me being a retired UK firefighter. Great array of beers, great atmosphere, friendly locals....what's not to like. In fact we returned 2 days later for a beer and a very enjoyable burger.

One of the more unique dive bars in New York. This place makes the Seaport for me. Great Fish Fry, and Cold Beer in Styrofoam Cups. Diverse mix of social classes

My wife and I were visiting NYC for the first time. I had heard that people here aren't very friendly, not true at all. We fell in with a delightful bunch of "locals" and had a great evening (I parenthesise because they didn't live nearby but drank here regularly). Being British I like proper beer and this pub provides plenty of varieties, some of which are almost quite good - once you've let them warm up a bit so you can taste them! The staff are friendly and efficient. When we were there a football (or soccer if you prefer) match was being shown on TV (Italy v Spain) and most of the clientele seemed to be knowledgable about the game. For those of you who, like me, prefer pubs without TVs they are very difficult to find in the USA.

Great beer, great location, nice music. It was refreshing and relaxing to sit and enjoy a beer here. I'd go there again when I go to the Big Apple.

On vacation in New York, very Hot Day. Was down near south street sea port, not finding a down to earth place for a Beer and some Grub. My Grandson looked on his phone and found Jeremy's Ale house two blocks away. BEST FIND EVER!!!! Great Food and Good Cold Beer in a very relaxing atmosphere.

Wow...what an amazing place! It takes your breath away for so many reasons! A good friend tipped us off about this place, singing the praises of the food, the ale and the atmosphere. It was hot in New York when we were in the area, so seeking a cool drink we decided to check this place out. My husband and our 8 year old son were thrilled to enter the cool, dimly lit bar as it provided some much needed relief from the heat and the glare of the sun. But once our eyes had adjusted we began to see the full 'glory' of the place! The interior is somewhat 'primitive' in comparison to the glamour and glitz of New York City. The floor is rough and uneven, the tables are stout and well used, and the seats are basic. Three televisions (all broadcasting different sporting events) were placed at intervals around the bar, but it was impossible to hear the commentary for the level of chatter and laughter from the young folk who were enjoying the company of friends in there. We, as tourists, clearly looked like the odd ones out - but the regulars didn't even seem to notice us. We were simply able to leisurely enjoy our ice cold drinks whilst soaking up the atmosphere and admiring the 'scenery'. By 'scenery' I refer to the collection of bras which hang from the ceiling in this establishment. My son giggled with boyish embarrassment, and my husband concluded that there were clearly some BIG girls in New York!! Before leaving I checked out the little (BIG) girls room which was, again, 'primitive' ie pre-dating the invention of toilet paper and soap! Perhaps that is why the girls had removed their bras and hung them there to dry!?!? I left, with my undies intact and feeling rather 'flat chested'.

Always visit this bar when in NY and never been disappointed. Good selection of drafts at a cheap price. Far better than all the pretentious drinking places nearby.Amazing that its only a stones throw from Wall Street!

We've been there probably already more than 5 times I had not a chance to write my review since my first visit which is back in 2017. Yesterday we had dinner sadly we don;'t drink at all :):):) so we always go there for eating! because the prices are so reasonable, yummy fresh ingredients! a big portions! I have no problem for waiting 20 minutes on last night! Yes last night was packed! so the owner told us that it might takes about 20 minutes! Okay ... 20- minutes BOOM! the foods was ready! No waiter though so you've gotta get up to get your foods at the counter but it is worth so good! I saw a family with small children too .. so family oriented. However there are lots of women's bra that's transitional deco! It's safe place LOL If you love to drink and eat they I highly recommend to anyone! foods are so good!!

Bar food. Delicious burgers and good beer. Very good price for the area. Will definitely go back. Comfortable atmosphere if you like bras and ties hanging from the ceiling.

This is not my usual type of dinner spot. After a long day, I was looking for a place to eat and decided to wonder in for bar food. The place is dark and grungy. The tables are sticky. You order food from the bartender. The food is cheap and good. Dinner for two with beer was $36. Now... To the ambiance... I had never heard of Jeremy's and was very surprised when I glanced up and realized there were bras hanging everywhere. It was incredibly whimsical. The menu includes a story on the origin of the bras. Also ended up striking up a sports conversation with someone at a neighboring table. Overall, I'd say this is a fun, friendly, quirky place to grab cheap food and catch a game.

This is one of the weirdest pubs I've ever been to, but I'm glad I didn't miss it. We're not talking fine NYC dining here; the beer is cheap and served in 32 ounce styrofoam cups, the food is served on paper plates or in styrofoam containers, and the decor is, well, very Animal House. BUT--, the food was plentiful and actually pretty good (and cheap), the staff friendly, and the crowd a fun to watch slice of society. You can just as easily be seated next to a a salty old seaport bum as a Wall Street exec. Yes, it's a dive bar, but a lot more fun than most of the upscale, uptight establishments surrounding it.

Great for beer & snacks! Friendly staff, great beer (brooklyn lager!!), good food. Good place for a shopping break!

We were just done the road looking for a place to eat, (that was closed). We saw it on another site, but that site said it was not a place for kids. Well we had "kids" ages, 5, 12, 13, 18, 19, 23, and 25 with us. Plus adults who act like kids. So we sent out a scout. The scout came back with a text...GET HERE NOW. The people behind the bar, were more than accommodating of our large party, and they loved having the kids there. The food was absolutely fantastic! Beer was cold. Everyone was kind. My 5 year old daughter loves it so much, she tells us she can't wait to go back. I can not wait either!

On a recent visit to New York with friends from South Carolina, our attempt was to show them a local bar typical to the area. My husband had been to Jeremy's but never had the food, so we thought this would be a good opportunity. Upon entering, a large sign, seen (below) announces that it is "the last of the great NYC dive bars" and it definitely proves itself as we viewed the bras hanging from the ceiling. But it is a fun place and the food was surprisingly good. Friend number one, who doesn't drink (WHAT?) orders a strawberry daiquiri and I do the same. Husband orders the 1 quart beer served in the biggest Styrofoam cup I've ever seen. Very unique and keeps the beer cold! Ingenious! Other friend didn't think he could drink that much Bud Light (Yep, they're from the south, for sure) but ended up ordering TWO 16 oz beers. For entrees, female friend ordered just a burger with fries, I decided on the Grilled chicken sandwich, husband took a stab at the Philly Cheese steak with fries and male friend tried the fried oysters with fries. There is no table service, you simply go up to the bar and place your order. Since you receive a simple guest check, nothing is itemized by your order, I can't quote prices, just the total bill. When your order is ready, they just call you over to the bar and you go pick up your food. Very easy. My chicken was excellent (see below). I requested swiss cheese and barbecue sauce on the side and a salad with ranch dressing on the side as well, and that's just the way I got it, Everyone else's food was just as described on the menu. Hamburger got a thumbs up, fried oysters were "the best meal I've had in New York" and Philly Steak was very tasty, but "I like it sliced rather than chunked". Can't please everyone... All in all it turned out to be a fun place and a great meal as far as bar food goes. Total for 4 meals, a HUGE quart beer, two 16 oz ones, and two good size frozen daiquiris came to just under $80. I would say that's a major bargain for NYC,

Well back again just not as close this time we had to walk 15-20 mins from the hotel during this visit. Great cheap beer for NYC, Friendly staff and locals alike. We even signed the wall this visit. We will be back again on our next visit to NYC. Started most of our evenings in the bar with a couple of beers they have a great selection, and lots of screens for all the sports.

They have a such a long history for 40 years plus. NYC's eye opener! The location is perfect for after the dinner or before dinner, Because located a few blocks from Wall Street and our Long Island location is on the Nautical Mile in Freeport.so the whatever order is fresh. I loved friend Calamari :) The foods is great and the ceiling has awesome! You better check it out .. so many women;s bra .. :):) I thinks it has been traditional Not fancy but safe delicious meals to enjoy. And there Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan bridge .. all in walking distance . You'd enjoy FUN, delicious and beautiful moment The have a happy hour too!

Love it, try to go at odd times, otherwise too busy. If no rain, sit out on patio stools, under BBridge NY side. Not for everyone, but I can enjoy Jeremy's one night and River Cafe the next evening....go figure!

Truly a unique experience. Try it you will like it if you like fun, cheap and down and dirty. Not many places that you can get a quart of draft beer in a Styrofoam cup at a dirt cheap price. Open crazy hours including early in the morning.

We just happened upon Jeremy's near South Street Seaport Tickets. What a find! It's a small bar filled with regulars and warmth. There are bras hanging from the ceiling, dark wood, and great food! Everything is freshly prepared. Excellent place to visit!

We've had lunch yesterday on March 8th . the staff was so funny and great! Actually we've been there at least 10 times because of the foods and the staff was funny in a way. I am glad that they've opened indoor dinning 25%. The sizes of order is big enough , Buffalo wings Fried calamari Onion rings was like donuts! We will go back again and again . I am so sorry that we might have forgotten to leave tips. Since you guys served our foods. Next time I will double you. Always great to be there. Thank you for your excellent foods:):) Be back!

We visited Jeremy's after reading the TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed! Great value beer's and good food and a great atmosphere. We will definitely visit again when we are in New York and will recommend to our friends.

It's been a while since I last visited Jeremy's, but what an awesome place, the atmosphere, surroundings, friendliness, food and beer are all unequalled in New York. You not find a bar with more character in the whole of America. This place is the best, but not for the faint hearted or fussy.

Been lovin' Jeremy's ever since I first attended it at its old location, around the corner, back in 1988 before S. St. Seaport came into being. You gotta love a bar that has good drinks for decent prices and offers up ELP's "Tarkus" on its jukebox. A must-visit every time I'm in NYC!

Wonderful. A PUB (or near as dammit). Proper beer glasses would have put the icing on the cake. Close by Brooklyn Bridge.

Food, service, people are great. Tim makes this a memorable experience. Milton adds to the flavor and Jeremy is just a great person,. The food is fresh and tasty. the prices are great.. Stop in treat yourself you will come back.

The food was only so so, the beer selection left something to be desired, and the place stank...definitely a true divey dive bar. I have to say...not really my scene.

There are British pubs and there are British style pubs. This pub is somewhere in between. The food was ok. The ambiance not nowhere near the desired. Ok prices.

I love this location, right by the south street seaport, had a fun day in the area and came here for drinks and food and loved it! The seafood is amazing and tastes so fresh...the beer selection is good with good prices on 32oz beers!!! Awesome time always!

hah dive bar for sure. Can not use credit card unless 15/dollars min. nice all the bra's hanging from the ceiling tiles.............

great place to relax with a drink,we love those homemade chips!! (crisps to the brits!!) a welcome retreat after busy days sightseeing & nice to be remembered by the staff!!! great guys

This is a fab little pub/bar. So different as have brassieres hanging from the ceiling. Food available on menu is delicious too. Good selection of ales..

This place defines the expression, "dive bar," with decor consisting mainly of years worth of personal messages scrawled on the suspended ceiling tiles in magic marker, used bras hanging from the walls and ceilings, newspaper clippings, and neon beer signs. BUT--- if you're in the South Street Seaport area and looking for something different (and I mean a lot different) from the typical high-brow yuppie pubs and restaurants you'll find lining the nearby streets, give this place a try. You can always walk in, look around, and keep right on moving out the other door (like my wife did when I brought her there). There's a small first-floor platform out front overlookng Front St. that I'll loosely call a terrace, which is nice for hanging with friends and watching passers-by. Great draft beer selection, which is served in your choice of 16 oz plastic cup or 32 oz styrofoam cup at ridiculously low prices for NYC. Where else in the city can you get served a quart cup of ice cold Goose Island IPA for $9? Considering what this place is, their menu is pretty extensive, well done, and ---wait for it--- CHEAP! Sure there's the usual bar fare, i.e. wings, nachos, onion rings, fried mozzarella sticks, etc., but also a nice selection of grilled and fried seafood, different chicken entrees, salads, and burgers. Everything is ordered at the bar (no table service) and served on either a styrofoam platter or paper plates, so don't expect anything fancy. I ordered steamed mussels, and got a big "to-go" container with over 3 dozen (yes, I counted 38) fresh and perfectly steamed mussels and a container of more drawn butter than I could possibly use. For $11.95. An order of Buffalo wings, which were very good, included a dozen for $6.95. I was there on a Thursday evening, and the crowd was a lively mix of young and middle-aged people, all of whom appeared to be having a good time. The guys behind the bar were friendly, helpful and attentive. No attitudes here, no judgments, just good food, good beer, and good times. As I said, it's not for everyone, but if you're looking for a fun alternative place to have a good time for not a lot of money, it's worth a vist.

Stopped here after being recommended by a local friend. Fun place, chill atmosphere. Despite our late October stop weather was gorgeous and we sat at the outdoor expansion. I was the only one who didnt get the 32 oz bucket o beer in the group. Bras hanging from the ceiling, tiniest most "NY" bathroom ever. This is not a swanky joint, it's a chill place to kick back. We only stayed for a drink but food going past us looked good. For me one of the highlights of our one day trip to NYC.

I was fortunate enough to find this bar when staying at a hotel nearby. Having flown in from the UK that afternoon, I just wanted to have a couple of beers and some proper US style Hot Wings and thought I would sit quietly somewhere with my ipad. - The bar tured out to be surprisingly empty for a game night and the staff were so welcoming that I ended up there until closing time. The bar ably run by Gina provides real ales and beers and the food was just great - I had wings and was also advised to try the chicken tenders too - these were fantastic. A lot of care is taken to make sure that the food is good, that the beer is good and that the customer is happy. I thoroughtly recomment this bar to anybody that wants to have a real slice of NYC cheers! Thanks Gina and crew!

The place was very weird, with bras hanging from the ceiling. Despite this, they have a very good selection of beers, and the food is good. I had fish and chips, the fish was good, while the chips were excellently fried and incredibly crispy. The service is very low, they just bring you the menu, then you have to order and take the food and drinks by yourself.

The server was the door person too ...and was very matter of fact in a very inhospitable way. Trying to give a New York Attitude and not pulling it off. He could care less about the customer.

In the mood for a burger a salad a hero a wide choice of seafood. This is the place your looking for. Excellent seafood at a reasonable price. The best is the weekend special two lobsters with a potato and slaw. Beers from all over. A little loud but worth it.

We stumbled upon this while looking for another place which we couldn't find and I'm really glad we did. Lots of different beers, quirky bras on the ceiling and food. It's a real dive bar, styrofoam cups and all., including soccer which was a bonus. We were there early afternoon so it was a little quiet but it had a real character about it. I imagine it's a great bar to have a night of drinking in. We had food here, mine was just a basic hero but was nice and my friend had tuna which she enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

This place is fantastic , great food , great beer and very very friendly locals , plus the wee bits of history of this pub , from 9/11 to being a focal point of Hurricane Katrine , its just a great place to visit if down at the south street sea port .

I was looking for a place for lunch on a Saturday in the financial district, Most fine restaurants are closed, and almost the only choices are fast food or burger and beer joints. We walked to the South Street Seaport. The seaport itself, which once was home to many restaurants, we found has been closed since flooding in 2012. The new revitalized South Street Seaport is coming soon- but not ready for our Saturday lunch!! I looked at the menu at Jeremy's and found there was an abundance of seafood for "cheap eats" prices, and decided this would be our best choice to try, The atmosphere is "self serve", you order at the bar, and they bring the food to you on paper plates. We had calamari, grilled tuna, fish and chips, and buffalo wings. All the fired items were crispy, and none of these were greasy. Also a "calamari legs" appetizer, which was less than $10 and huge. The tuna, which was the only item we ordered grilled, was perfect medium rare, but a little plain... it was available with several styles...we should have ordered one with sauce...The calamari came with a sweet and slightly spicy tomato sauce-not just marinara from a jar. It was really good. The wings had just the right amount of Tabasco style zing, and dressing with generous blue cheese. The fish and chips were probably not cod or fancy fish, but quite adequate- and like everything else, a big portion and crispy. The fries-probably frozen ones, were also perfectly prepared. All the portions, including the side salads are "hungry guy" sized. Service is attentive, and each time they speak to you they ask,"do need anything?", "are you are satisfied?", "and how is the food?" (which is in fact great). You do need to go to the bar though to get this help... I definitely suggest to come here if looking for casual dining in the financial district.

NOTE: This review will sound negative, but the sports bar part of Jeremy's is warm and welcoming. We WILL return for a sports event, ordering a few pints of the very reasonably priced name brand beer. We had considered Jeremy's one evening a while back. It was filled with happy, loud sports fans enjoying their beer and games. Not for us that night. So when we arrived in the afternoon to a less crowded setting, we gave it a try. The ceiling is generously decorated with bras, the walls with fine televisions, for a fun traditional men's bar setting. We tried the house salads (iceberg lettuce and celery with hothouse tomatoes) and fried calamari (fair in itself, served with a mixture of ketchup and some hot sauce). The portions were generous but the food was uninspiring. The extensive beer list included Jeremy's own ale. Watery and weak flavored. The Bud Light of ales. We'll go with another beverage next time. Nonetheless, the place is fine for what it is, a sports bar with food prioritized far below atmosphere and beer.

First impression as you walk in is ‘a seedy joint’, it is dark, there are several TVs on showing sport games, there are ladies bra’s fastened to the ceiling and graffitti also on the ceiling. The bar is serving area is small. It is self service, menus are laminated A3 sheets lying around on tables. You order drinks and food at the bar, then find a seat. Shortly a loud voice from behind the bar will shout out your order and you go and collect. Basic idea but works ( if you can remember what you ordered). The food portion is plenty but varies with what you pick. Loaded chips are huge. The philly sandwich is made with real sliced steak. There is a lot of fried food but other options are available. Prices are vety good for New York. Would eat there again.

Been coming here for years and years, it's NY's best dive bar, with the Cheapest Beer & Best Burgers in the City. I take all my out-of-town guests to this place, and never heard a complaint, usually everybody raves about the place's affordability, beer, and burgers.

Stumbled across this place and popped in for a drink - which came in a polystyrene cup...that said, it was a huge helping of Goose Island IPA for a tenner, so decent value for NYC. We didn't have food but saw some wings, and they looked and smelled great. Outdoor patio was also nice. But the whole slightly dingey arrangement with bras hanging off the ceiling and general diveyness doesn't make this my kind of place, but that is just a matter of opinion. If you like a decent craft (or other) beer at good value and don't mind the kind of environment described, give it a shot...

Love this place!! Everything about it makes for a great experience. The food is awesome and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I worked in the area for years and Jeremy's was always our choice for seafood and to knock back a few. The ambiance is great--looks of interesting 'stuff' to look at! No stiff shirts allowed--it may end up as decoration!

We first visited this place in Dec 2009. I was cold and wet and we escaped the weather to dry off. 4 years on we were back in NYC and had to go back! The beer and food is great with a relaxed atmosphere. We will be back again when we next visit :-)

I stopped in here for dinner while I was in NYC. Jeremy’s Ale House is a dive bar with surprisingly good seafood. I got the scallops on a recommendation from the bartender and they were very tasty. The grilled scallops were big and cooked to perfection. One thing I hate is rubbery scallops but these were cooked just right. Also the price was really cheap especially for NYC. If you are looking for a four star restaurant this is not your place. But if you want good seafood at a reasonable price this might be for you. Also, you can get a 32 oz beer to wash it down. I would definitely stop back if I was in the area.

OK, so the Old Jeremy's used to be quite a rite of passage for the young beer hungry and biker crowd. The "new" Jeremy's is still a dirty dive and not nearly as interesting. Still, if you're a frat boy or a junior broker on Wall Street, this is probably a must-go-to place for watching sports on TV and kicking back brewskies.

Wacky decor with graffitied ceiling panels and dozens of bras, also graffitied, displayed on the ceiling and walls. A good buzz about it with lots of locals sat at the bar chatting to each other and the bar staff, made it hard to get served. Great choice of music being played. The beer was good but I didnt have the patience to wait for another.

We stopped here for dinner based on location and reviews. It's loud, lively, and definitely local. I had Fish and chips and my travel partner had deep fried oysters. Both were prepared well and tested good, although it's a lot of fried food. If you're in the Seaport area and want a decent "bar" meal and beer without the usual NYC high prices, this place is a good bet.

One of the best dive bars we've been to. We were there early before the crowds and was able to sit and talk with the bar tender for a while. We didn't get anything to eat this time but just a few drafts. Next time we are in the area, this will be a must stop for us again.

Gross

Great atmosphere, stopped her for a drink with my daughter. Typical in an "Ale House" we asked for wine.......yep they had wine but served in glass tumblers, what do you expect. Also asked why there were so many bras attached to the ceiling??? Was told they were all donated, great bar!!

Ok so it's not fine dining, but great change to have a bar steward who is friendly! - Its similar to a Dick's Last resort type place, but offers very good value for money and the crowd there on a Sunday night seem a pretty friendly bunch.

The entrance had changed. There was no outdoor seating except a tiny deck in the front. I guess they walled in the large space they had on the side. The bartender had no clue about the changes as I asked him about the bathrooms and he pointed to the back. I told him they used to be where the door is. He said that’s outside with a smirk like I was an idiot. If you don’t know the history, don’t open your mouth to mock because at the end you’re the one who ends up being the fool. We tried the buffalo wings which were overcooked and tasteless. Beer battered shrimp and fries were good. It is not the place I remember. Will be skipping it next time.

After wandering around Battery Park and the South Street Seaport I stopped into Jeremy's by accident late afternoon on January 15 and had a blast. A big tip of the hat to the manager, Milton, who made my stay that much more memorable. The regulars were friendly, too (a big hello to Bert!). It was a great bar to relax and feel at home in. Additionally, there are a grand variety of beers on tap at very reasonable prices by NYC standards. I was most surprised by the food - I ordered scallops ($13) and they were delicious, best I've had in ages. Also there was about 10 in the serving which is a fair number compared to most places. They were dusted in flower and deep friend but not greasy. Highly recommend! The fries, though, were just OK. If I am back in the area I will go back for a pint or 4, some more scallops and a yarn with Milton!

Stumbled upon this great little bar by accident. Decided to nip in for a quick drink. What a find! Very friendly staff. Played some fabulous 80s music. Relaxed atmosphere and looked like a place locals webt. Before i knew i had had 2 rum and cokes and was singing along with the music. Ordered some hot snacks which where very tasty. Started talking to an elderley guy who was really intetesting and had English connections. After a few minutes he introduced himself as "Jeremy". Very entertaining guy. If we are ever in NY again will definetely return.

If you're looking for a great place to hang out in Manhattan without paying 9 bucks for a beer, this is the place. They have draft beer in a big 32 oz Styrofoam cup for about 6 bucks and their food is very good and cheap for NYC. Try the fish n' chips. Located in the South Street Seaport area and a stone's throw from the Brooklyn Bridge, Jeremy's is easy to get to, there's plenty of things to do nearby, and you don't have to trek through some shady neighborhood to get there.

We called here on our first night in New York although tired after a very long day we really enjoyed our visit and the food was bloody great very tasty and plenty of it also great choice of ales

My family has been coming here for years. Large cold beers always. Jeremy's is a place that it is too easy to get comfortable at. I was also very impressed with the hot dogs as a late night snack. Can't wait to be back to drink the Banquet and build a tower.

Honestly, I did not eat here but must say the atmosphere and scenery is worth the trip. I met friends for a quick drink and their beer was served in 16 oz Styrofoam cups. Who still has Styrofoam cups? This is definitely one of the last dive bars in NY. The best part was the autographed bras that hung on the ceiling. I kept mine on but not sure who they belonged too. Stop by for a quick drink and food. Everything looked great and maybe next time I can critique the food.

Visited for lunch with friends and family. Autographed bras hanging from the ceiling! (we kept our on!!) Ice cold beer, 16oz served in styrofoam cup-who would of thought, kept the beer cold! Had the burger which was huge. Fries fresh and hot. Fried clams were probably the best I ever had. A chilidog was ordered and devoured. Kids had chicken strips and mozzarella sticks which they loved. Three bathrooms, Men Woman and Both (lol). Don't miss out of "The Last of the Great NYC Dive Bars" as the hugh sign states when visiting the seaport!

Had to find this place as it was my namesake. Asked a postie where it was and he stopped delivering letters and took me straight there, in to the bar and introduced me to all the bar staff. Then left to carry on his round. Great selection of beer. Had been struggling to find beer brewed in any of the five boroughs but these had two. Brooklyn beer and Coney Island Bass. Was asked if I wanted a small one(a pint) or a large one (32oz) at 6 or 10 dollars. This place sells the first happy hour drinks in Manhattan at 1dollar 75 cents and plays great American rock.

Returning to NY after so many years - different location but as expected ! Great staff. Old school in a good way . Super friendly - Jeremy is such a nice guy . We will be back my friend. Great wings !

food not great but bar fun

It’s a dark place, perfect for lots of drinks. Don’t bother with either the crab cakes or the fish and chips. They are better elsewhere. It’s perfectly pub style: look at the menu and order at the bar, then go up and get your order. That’s fine, if only the food were better.

Visited for lunch. Had a huge portion of fish and fries. Couldn't eat it all. Interesting place. Have to go up to counter to order and pick up your food.

Not fancy, friendly, fun. Just a nice place to get something to drink. Many beers to choose from. Will go here again when we are in town.

its a dive rest, just go in and eat, drink and kep on, a diferrent decoration , itsa fun place, no problem with kids, its ok.

Jeremy's has not changed in 30 years and it was nice remember the many a lunches there. I am glad to see the hanging bras have with stood time. For a pub, the food is very good and reasonable! After you walk up the steps, you enter a bar that has history. Where else can you get the "eye opener"; $1.75 selected buckets of beer from 8-10am? A tradition for the overnight loaders is still in place. For my lunch, I had the tuna steak, salad, fries and of course a beer. For $20, it was very good and like I remembered. Service is order at the beer, they yell when it is done, dine and pay at the bar. It was a great lunch!

Good beer, nice and relaxed and friendly atmosphere, simple food prepared to suit your request. Good for a regular, nothing-to-do times visit.

I dont drink beer, nor do I need to see a bunch of women's bras hanging from the ceiling. But when that hankering for fried clam strips comes calling, this is the only place I want to be. Delish and reasonably priced!

Stopped at Jeremy's for a nice cold beer and their Cajun Shrimp with fries. Spicy enough not too hot. Evening crowd was loud but it is a Friday in NYC.

some locals told us that we had to check out Jeremy's. The beer was good and the tots were yummy. It is truly a dive bar, but that's what I loved about it. The folks we met while there were very friendly & down to earth. I would def go back.

We wanted something light for lunch and we stumbled on this place in the Seaport district. It was early afternoon and the place was only half full. We we entered a waiter told us to sit anywhere and we should order our food from the bar. After we were seated, another waiter came over and took our order. We ordered a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich to split. It was delicious. Served on a fresh sub roll and was plenty big enough for both of us. It was served with a huge portion of french fries which were the equal of Five Guys fries ( my benchmark for delicious fries). The atmosphere is a little funky but the service and the food was great. I can recommend this place highly.

32oz cups of beer...need I say more.

Great location in the Seaport area. Good little bar with plenty of seating. The bar offers several appetizers and has a full menu of bar types food choices.

Stumbled upon this beauty randomly. The bar is totally a bar with what seems like a lot of character with bras and graffiti everywhere. We went during happy hour time and got a giant styofoam cup which is about 3 beers worth for only $5. The nachos were very simple, but the nacho chips were unique and the fries were fries. Served on paper plates, with plastic utensils...definitely a dive bar worth visiting! Doesn't seem like it is only for young people, older people were there too.

I stop into Jeremy's in the South Street Seaport area whenever in the area, about 1-2-times a year. Great selection of draft beer. I recommend the 32oz foam cup - best value for the buck. Good music always playing. Decent food, but I've only ordered appetizers either on my way to dinner or as late night snacks. Even though I'm not a regular, service has always been good. Pretty simple in terms of decor and ambience, but I definitely feel comfortable. Safe area as well.

A friend and I went here tonight after dinner and after a short time we said "we should have came here for dinner". Let me elaborate on that. The place is a bar, the place is not fancy or spotless, it's not new, the place serves bar food, it's not the place for a fine dining dinner and there's a lot of people getting drunk and enjoying themselves. The reason we said we should have eaten there was simply because it was fun. We had good conversation with the bartenders, the patrons were drunk and funny, the snacks were good but the bartender Timothy cracked us up. A good place to visit for a drink that's reasonably priced? Yup. A place to take a date too for dinner? Nope. Had fun.

Plastic beer containers, an overworked barman and indifferent quality beer. We arrived while there was a large office lunch party taking place and this may have detracted from the quality of the service. The decor suggested that it would be popular with stag parties and end of term college drinking sessions.

Didn't know what to expect when we walked into this bar with bras hanging all over the place. Music was good, drinks were cold and a cool atmosphere.

we dropped it early and asked if they served breakfast. the bar staff simply asked us what we wanted and we ended up agreeing on some bacon and egg sandwiches to go with our pints. new style jukebox but the technology provides unlimited selection. great dive bar in which to start off your bar crawl day. i was happy that nyc has apparently outlawed styrofoam to some degree so we had glasses not styrofoam cups. good mix of patrons from suits getting the day started to shiftworkers getting off shift. no waiters, order and pay at the bar and they will let you know when your stuff is ready.

We love staying across the street at Seaport Inn and just happened to look in Jeremy's one evening. My husband loved the place (bras hanging everywhere), atmosphere for guys type of place. Not many tourists except for us. We go back every year just as a tradition. This past trip, it was raining the morning we headed out on our walk, so we sat on the 'balcony' and I enjoyed a couple of Bloody Marys which was seasoned with horseradish, my favorite. After that, didn't care much if I got wet walking in the rain or not. Had burgers and fries later that day. They were great. Disappointed they were closed the last morning we were there due to some movie being filmed there. Everyone should visit Jeremy's and have a 32 ounce beer in a styrofoam cup. I'll stick with the Bloody Mary.

We were brought to this bar as part of our tour. This place is somewhere you would probably not venture into from the looks on the outside. As you walk in, you notice all the bras and autographs hanging from the rafters and anything else they can attach them too. There are also cute signs on the walls as well as TVs. We stopped in for a beer. It's a cool place to check out if in the area. I went here on a quiet Sunday lunchtime so couldn't tell you what it's like when packed, but I had a great time. The place is so interesting to look around. Bras hanging from the ceiling and the ceiling tiles decorated with drinkers' messages. Just a fun place with good beer and friendly staff. Highly recommended...

Walking by it caught our attention with all the bras hanging. Definitely a dive bar. We had chili cheese dogs and some beers. Would we go back...nah, probably not.

The hanging bras and the fine brew What's not to love?! Just had drinks and enjoyed football on a big screen Good vibe, great beers, good times with friends!

Looking for a drink and a snack pre gig at Pier 17 and found this place online. Absolutely perfect for our requirements. Great value quart of beer, really hit the spot. Veggie burger and chicken burger were delicious with super chips. Excellent value for NYC, $50 total. Toilets really bad, like they keep them that way on purpose?

Stumbled across this bar when walking back from Battery Park towards Brooklyn Bridge. The draught beer was great, the locals friendly and the staff welcoming. Had the buffalo wings & shrimps, lovely grub too. Watched the Jets v Giants on the big screen and the rival fans were great sports. A must visit. Oh and if you have a spare bra, sign and get it hung on the ceiling!

We read about this place and it perked our interest. Not far from the Staten island ferry and 9/11 Memorial. They dont have to hire a dish washer in this place, there are several choices of draught beer and thay come in 2 sizes. The 16oz will cost you between 5 and 8 bucks and the 32oz between 8 and 11.5 bucks depending on the choice of suds. All beer comes in styrofoam cups which was unusual and l though detracted from the taste of the beer. For eats we had the scallops, rice and salad, and the shrimp, rice and salad. Tha scallops were the best we have had in a long time, the shrimps wer'nt bad but pailed next to the scallops. The salad was fresh but needed some kind of dressing on it, same for the rice, fair amount but bland it needs some kind of sauce to perk it up. The meals come in a cardboard box hence no need for a dish washer for plates and glasses. Service was good, lots of Bra's hanging of the ceiling but unfortuneatly nobody added to the collection during my visit.

I had a spare day after a business trip so decided to have a walk around lower Manhattan and just stumbles across this place. It's in a great location near Battery Park and Brooklyn Bridge. Super friendly owner. After a couple of beers I said I was leaving to catch my plane and the owner insisted I stayed for one more on the house. That doesn't happen very often. Oh and they sell these very large cups of beer (I didn't have one but I saw the size of the cups) for only $5 I seem to remember so probably the cheapest place to drink in New York as well. I didn't get around to asking why all the bras are stuck to the ceiling but I'll certainly go back next time I'm in town and inquire as to why.
Great food, cold beer
Great food, cold beer. Cool dive bar to hang out at, awesome atmosphere. Prices are reasonable too. Classic New York dive bar
