Hidden Gem

By Adam |

A true working mans bar in New York. Got stuck her during snow when JFK cancelled all American Airlines for the day. Spent the day in here with 2 friends. Every time we thought about leaving we cancelled the idea and got another round of drinks. Great spot couldn’t but recommend

Best Bar in New York

By LondonLad64 |

Literally steps from Times Square, this is an authentic American dive bar. It's narrow, with a bar down the left side with seating all along it with tables and seating at the back of the bar, it does get very crowded but a fantastic atmosphere. And the best part is that Beers are only $4.

Hidden Gem

By MRS H |

Very Small but very very reasonable priced drinks , lots of good photos and a local pub atmosphere $9 dollars for two gins..

A gem from the past, time

By Karl-Friedrich K |

A small, truly typical New York bar that is not overrun by tourists and yet is very close to Times Square

Interesting small, neighborhood place

By Kathy M M |

Very enjoyable, and friendly. We all enjoyed relaxing and talking with the manager/bar tender. We had heard of the place from others that frequently visit here.

last of its kind?

By anorth52 |

A real NYC bar within a stone's throw of Times Square!! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and incredible value!

Excellent bar off Times Square

By elvisuk66 |

We found this bar just off Times Square 2012 and went back the next 2 years. The Owner and his wife were very friendly and allowed us to take pictures and videos of the whole bar as the bar was the place where they filmed a part of Raging Bull at the back. If you like Boxing then this is the bar to go to. The price of drinks are really cheap.

Great place to grab a drink

By Ross O |

We were looking for a place to grab a drink near the craziness of time square and we stumbled upon this gem. Very well priced and full of locals which makes it a great atmosphere.

Pros - very cheap beers

By Alex |

Pros - very cheap beers - just off Times Square - table service Cons - very small with limited seating - unclean toilets

Boss Pub just off Time sq

By andy o |

Great pub very narrow bar but full of atmosphere..Bud was $3 a pint and it was lovely ( u pay up to $9 for a pint in that area) very busy bar and staff didnt smile much, but it was packed all the time and they were very busy.

Great Craic Best Bar In NYC

By amberpip |

Great Craic. We walked in and felt very welcome. We managed to get two seats at the bar and the service was second to none. We had visited lots of bars during our stay and this was the best by far. We felt like locals and the price is fab. 11 dollars including a tip ! We were paying 24 dollars including a tip at the usual Irish Bars in NYC.

Jack and coke for $3!

By Luiz S |

I loved this place, simple and charming. Not only the place, but the people are amazing over there. Jimmy is a very nice man. he is a former prizefighter and cornerman for Floyd Patterson.

Fabulous bar

By Cathy B |

If you're like me and love a good 'dive / authentic' bar experience, pop into Jimmy's corner for a drink or two. No fancy drinks here, but a great bartender, very reasonable prices, and tons and tons of NYC atmosphere. We tried to go here the last time we were in town for a show but it was packed. Luckily for us, it was quieter around lunchtime on a Wednesday. So glad we got to experience it and will definitely pop in again the next time we're in town.

Awesome bar and staff

By Archer1129 |

Fantastic bar in NYC, great priced drinks! The bar man was awesome and so good at his job, multi-tasking and ensuring everyone was well taken care of. Highly recommend!!

Try another bar

By philpauline2017 |

The most unwelcoming bar in NY, Only place I have ever visited where I felt embarrassed and upset by the way they spoke to me and my family.

A boxer cutmans bar I think.

By Thomas Rittstieg |

A very small and tiny bar next to Times Square. It seems like there are more locals than tourists. It first seems to be bit dirty but it is not. You can pay by card and the prices are below NY regular price scheme. They aircon is weakening when it gets full in there, that‘s because I only gave 3 points. Be prepared for „heat“.

Nasty

By emmaneilosian |

Wasnt expecting bells and whistles but was not anticipating just how rude and horrible they are! The most unwelcoming experience ever. They seemingly hate everyone who isn't a local. Avoid.

Hidden gem

By Sabzibizzle |

I absolutely love this place , this is a hidden gem in New York not only for the $3 beers but more the people and place itself. It’s like going back in time in a good way and every time I go in I don’t wanna leave , everyone is incredibly friendly and buying drinks for the guy next too you is a must as you strike up amazing conversations. A must go dive bar !

Some beers and some laughs!

By MCassidy77 |

Amazing bar in a great spot near Times Square. We were in New York for the weekend and this was by far the best and most authentic place we had a beer. People were brilliant, great atmosphere and would definitely recommend. No frills, no fuss, so dont expect it - enjoy the place for what it is!

Rude barmaid

By claireclaire1983 |

What a shame. Went in pre-show for a beer as read a friendly place to pop in for a sensibly priced beer in TS. The girl behind the bar looked at us like we were absolute garbage and didn’t say hello, please or thank you. Despite us tipping her. She was chatting to the men friendly enough... Suggest she has some time off to cheer up / learn some manners to stop her from having a face like thunder.

Old School AFFORDABLE bar near Times Square

By Charles D |

Great watering hole to relax in after NYC adventures. Reasonable prices with unpretentious drink selections. In other words......a real bar. Friendly and safe.

Joyful!

By Renata Garcia |

Jimmy is very friendly, plus $4 coronas and $4.50 for spirits in NYC it's a bargain!! It also seems not much changes I was here nearly 5 years ago and it's how I remember it. love it

Proper bar!

By Manc_man363 |

How I imagined an old school American bar. Long bar, packed full of people, cheap booze good service, has a lot of history..worth a trip, you won’t be disappointed!

What a find

By Mick Doe |

What a find, it’s directly opposite our hotel, great feel, great history and cheap beer, this will be our watering hole for the visit

A real *must do* place in NYC!

By Puredodee |

This place is real New York and an absolute gem of a place! I found this place after Googling "cheap drinks in New York" and wasn't disappointed. It's a small long narrow bar with a tabled seating area at the back of the place but try and sit at the bar for a real experience. We went there two nights running (Sunday and Monday) and it was busy both nights. Great juke box and apparently a real candlestick phone that rings in the bar if anyone calls it! Here's the best bit, $3 for a beer and $4 for a dark rum and diet coke. So...before you moan about a busy bartender not thanking you for a $2 tip consider this. We were speaking to a couple of guys who drank in a bar a few blocks away and paid a staggering $56 for two cocktails and two rums! Just take a seat at the bar, enjoy the drinks and the atmosphere and the fact your in a bar in midtown Manhattan, one of the most iconic cities in the world!

Stumbled in

By Kev363 |

We wandered in after a couple of high priced cocktails at the Plaza (great to do once). Great atmosphere and easy conversation with other patrons.

Best bar in New York.

By South Wales |

We used this bar twice on a visit to New York, the bar is so interesting loads of pictures on the walls. It is a typical New York bar ,the staff were so friendly and chatty and always a plus the drinks are so cheap 😀😀😀.

The real-deal NYC bar

By Luke |

After drinking in some crappy, polished, phoney-Irish tourist trap a few doors down, a friend messaged to say the ONLY place to drink in Times Square is Jimmy's Corner. He wasn't wrong. Don't know what the Brummie below's talking about, but two drinks in and we were laughing with the barmaid and sharing shots with the locals. It feels like real New York, full of real New Yorkers. Just treat the place and people with respect and I'm sure you'll get the same experience. If you're after the sanitised, tourist NYC experience (as I presume the gent below was) there's a Hard Rock Cafe a couple of blocks away. But if you want to properly live New York, this is the bar. Also, it was the cheapest ($4) and the finest pint of Guiness I tasted in NYC.

Last of the Dive Bars at Times Square

By bluerog |

Be at the center of Times Square, and head 2 blocks south (Avenue numbers get smaller). Take a left on 43rd and a half a block later you'll be at Jimmy's Corner. It's an old boxing gym. The drinks are still $3 and $4. The crowd is local. The music is 1950's. The last dive bar you'll find in this area. You're welcome.

New York Dive Bar

By TomFaulkner1 |

This is an old school New York dive bar so know what to expect it won’t be for everyone. It gives you a real feel of New York and the beers are $3 which you won’t find cheaper. It’s located just next to Times Square and definitely worth a visit. The walls are full of boxing memorabilia which is very interesting. We came in a few times during our stay and will always pop in when in New York.

cheap drinks great ny atmosphere

By kelljoe112 |

found this place on google search after being sick of paying silly money for drinks and found this place only a couple of blocks away from the gotham where we were staying, about a 5 minute walk from times square, cheap drinks a beer is like $4, it is a bit of a dive bar expect nothing posh but we loved it, people in there very friendly great pictures of all the boxers who have been in there as the owner is a boxing trainer and still its a shift in, recommend to anyone who is going to ny

Typical Dive Bar

By Michael C |

We read about Dive Bars on a NY guide book, and decided to give this one a go. It is full of boxing memorabilia, the drinks are reasonable, and the service was friendly and efficient.

The Real Deal!

By Sam M |

This really is a dive bar.. Not a place thats makes itself a little on the spit and saw dust side to make it seem like a dive bar.. This place really has the feel, when you walk in it is old hasn't been updated for and awful long time, has boxing memorabilia all over the walls, most are wonky but you just know that they are all loved and have been there since the test of time. The locals are in their chewing the fat with the barman, sport on all the tv's about.. This is a true and genuine dive bar experience.. Loved it!

Great dive bar

By BEV_T2012 |

It's not glam and it was busy every time we went in there, but you can see why. The beer is cheap and good, the staff work their socks off and everyone gets served quickly. The jukebox plays an awesome selection of old soul and Motown stuff and everyone gets to have a good time. What's not to like?

Amazing dive bar with a great atmosphere.

By AndyKeen63 |

Found this place while looking for somewhere reasonably priced in a generally overpriced city. Walking in off the street, we didn't know what to expect, but we were lucky enough to find some vacant chairs by the bar. We got served very quickly and efficiently, and could not believe the price. We got 4 drinks for what we would have paid for 2 in other nearby bars. We loved the atmosphere so much that we stayed for several drinks, and was always served promptly and efficiently. As others have said, the bar is a little bit dirty and hap-hazard, but it kind of adds to the character. We even met Jimmy the owner, who I believe is 88 years old, and a true gent. On subsequent nights we tried some other dive bars, but they just did not have the character or atmosphere, so found ourselves back at Jimmy's a few more times.

Love this place!

By RickWilmott |

I came here 7 years ago with my wife when I was last in NYC and I was so pleased to visit again and see that it hadn’t changed a bit. The main appeal for me is the fact that it is a great dive bar so close to Times Square. If you’re looking for a down to earth bar with a great jukebox and cheap drinks (2 x Heineken and a Jameson’s for $12) then this is for you! Can’t wait to see Jimmys Corner (and not discuss politics) again.

Amazing hidden gem

By Kevin_2012994 |

Stayed in nyc 5 nights in March, after going in O’Donoghues was shocked to pay $10 less for the se drinks in jimmys corner think they were $3.50 dollars for 2 pints Little hidden gem, full of locals all made to feel welcome, told about the history of this bar with Robert de Niro film being done there. Loved this bar really made me feel like i was in New York.... wish we found it sooner ! Definetley stopping by for a good session on our next visit !

Nope ....!

By Fi H |

Awful sorry....good character about the place. The beer on tap was flat, bar staff rude. Nicest thing was a chap at the bar giving us tips of where to and when not too drink beer on tap...! The toilets were horrific you can have character and still be hygienic.

Very cheap prices

By Jesus C |

Very good typically American bar, quite a surprise to find such a cozy place in the heart of Manhattan, super affordable prices and very friendly waiters who make themselves understood. 100/100 recommendable to have a beer and see its interesting decoration around boxing I'm saving it as a favorite and a place to come back to.

Great pub

By StephenCross |

This is a small little bar but it’s really great fun and the beers are very inexpensive. Recommended as a place for dress down and relaxing.

Flat Beer!

By Ian WB |

Don’t have the Rolling Rock on draught - it’s as flat as anything and the Management don’t seem to care!

Classic dive bar best prices in NYC

By Tom W |

Old boxing bar have the bell from old MSG. Place to go if your drinking in midtown Manhattan you can not bea the price

It’s a knockout

By happyfig |

This little bar may be small in stature but absolutely makes up for it in Character. It has a boxing theme with pictures and photos covering every square inch. Not surprisingly the bar is owned by a retired boxing trainer. The beer was good as well as cheap at only $3! The jukebox is fantastic and the staff friendly. A great little find in a bustling city. Well worth a visit.

Best bar in New York!!

By Scott G |

If you visit Times Square and want to wet the whistle this is a must! Cheap drinks and great service. The decor is old and run down but that’s what gives this place a warm and authentic feel. If you like boxing, there is memorabilia everywhere and you are made to feel welcome as soon as you step through the door - a small narrow bar but is a must visit!

Great bar and great prices

By Phil E |

Great place for a good beer at 1/2 the price of other local bars. Don’t be put off by the way this place looks from the road. Go in you will be most welcome.

Proper old school dive bar

By John M |

I recommend visiting the bar when you are in the Times square area as it's the cheapest drinks you are going to get in that area. The bar really is a dive and is covered with boxing memorabilia that is worth checking out. Unfortunately the place was packed with customers and the bar area is too small for sightseeing so you grab a table if one's available or else it's standing room only The staff are no nonsense and service is quick and efficient, prices are even better and feels strange paying so little for drinks that costs twice as much in the other bars in the Times square area.

Cheap and very cheerful

By JMcM69 |

If you want to avoid overpriced bars in New York this is th location for you. Lots of locals and an extensive array of boxing memorabilia on the walls which was fascinating to a boxing fan like myself. After paying exorbitant prices in other bars this was the ideal location. Friendly staff.

Great dive bar

By TheGaragiste |

A very non-touristy bar in the middle of an extremely touristy area. The drinks were cheap and the atmosphere was great.

great atmosphere

By Vic |

Visited here on a couple of evenings during our recent stay, the prices were great for the area. Small but great atmosphere. Will definately visit again when we visit NY again.

Cheapest bar in the city

By Stuwho76 |

This is a great bar a bit spit and saw dust but has plenty of character and if your lucky you might even meet the legend jimmy

Go to Jimmy’s Corner!

By Anita G |

Cheapest drinks in NYC! Super crowded but bartenders are so efficient. Do not expect a cozy, quiet atmosphere… we had a great time here!

Late NYC Nights

By Brianna G |

This spot is the absolute best for a chill night out. Some nights it’s super crowded but other nights it’s nice and chill. Don’t get me wrong, it’s small in the front. The bar is very narrow but it has a space in the back for tables so it’s not all that crowded! Every single bartender is the absolute best. Martina, Andre, Winnie, Leanne, Kariem - the absolute best bartenders I’ve ever come across. I always come back for them, but the cheap drinks are of course always worth it too! They’re always looking out for you and your best interests and such a great time whenever you see them. 10/10 my regular bar and I always have a wonderful time whenever I’m here.

Great place

By Jamie D |

Excellent example of an un sanitised New York dive bar. Really cheap drink considering it’s location. Really friendly staff and always some other people happy for a chat. We’ll be back!

Craic

By robbie h |

Great spot, great boxing history, mighty craic and a place where you get a pint at the right price, will be back in the near future

Best bar

By Tomáš "Pixie" Mázdra |

Great bar in the middle of NYC. Don't be scared about strange outside look - inside is nice bar with tasty beers and drinks. And prices?? You won't believe! Definitely you have to visit this place and get their IPA beer!!

Small place, cheap beer

By FormerCaliBoy |

I visited Jimmy’s Corner on multiple visits to NYC. It’s a small narrow bar lined with stools and a rear room with wooden tables. The beers are cheap, the atmosphere is loud and fun and the staff is super nice. If you like a more laid back place for cheap beers and without the attitude, then head to Jimmy's to relieve all of the stress of the day. Jimmy’s is certainly in the top of my dive bars in the city I make a point to visit while in town.

The Last of the Dive Bars in Manhattan

By Diane L |

Jimmy's Corner is an iconic dive bar. Run by an 88 year old Jimmy. If you're lucky, you may meet him. Our drinks were fine and the wait staff friendly. Old photos line the walls of the past generations. Sit back, don't rush and enjoy the experience.

Cheapest beer in Manhattan

By Andrew R |

The cheapest bar in NYC, proper old school bar vibes, staff were great, gets really busy, grab a perch at the bar, look at loads of memorabilia and chat to other people coming in. It's a proper cool bar and the cheapest in Manhattan by far.

Cheapest bar

By pezzapsr |

This is the cheapest bar I found next to Times Square at $3 a bottle or draft beer. You get what the price suggest very basic small pub with loads of locals and toilets not for the faint hearted, but very good atmosphere and great for people watching. Very narrow pub with about 8 tables at the back. No food at all just a bar. Owner into boxing with numerous boxing pictures on the wall from timed gone by who he as mad and loads of the greats he knew. In summary for good a few drinks and see locals this bar is ideal.

Short break

By Flipflop4444 |

Visited as had a good trip advisor rating, it’s just off Times Square. It doesn’t look much from the outside and the inside is basic but if you want a beer or 2 in a genuine place ( not tourist trap) then it’s wirth a visit or two. The beer is good and at a very cheap price for NYC, locals and tourists with a juke box is just right for a drink

Could be better

By Vinny |

Popped in twice and is cheap but not the cheapest (Mr Biggs wins that hands down 3 dollars for coors light). Only went in twice but first time staff were slightly off with us and we don’t know why, was just really weird like we didn’t exist when waiting for a drink, and a bit of a attitude. Was not sure if that was because we were British!?. Second time much better and seemed in better moods. Left tips both times but didn’t return a third time.

A proper New York bar

By gareth s |

Jimmy’s is a fantastic bar , full of boxing memorabilia and hundreds of photos . For a boxing fan like me it was heaven. The bar is full of locals but you can usually get a seat at the bar if you are in early enough ! Under 21s beware though , you will not get in , and just over 21s all have to show ID .

Old New York!

By Carolyn C |

Favourite bar in New York. Old fashioned and fun. Awesome staff, well priced drinks - try a margarita! Its worth waiting for a table at the back. Read all the articles on walls!

One of those places that you randomly make friends!!!

By CruisesXpert |

Jimmy's Corner is everything that is advertised and more. We went there on a Monday night and the place was bustling with activity. Luckily our friends had a table and we joined in. The beer is really really cheap. 3-4 USD a pint is an absolute steal in Times Square. The place we were sitting at before coming here, was charging us 8-10 USD for a pint. But cheap drinks is not the only USP of Jimmy's corner. The association with boxing, the stories the elderly people around told, the efforts you make through the sea of people around the bar, to come in and go out are all part of the experience. Some people may not like it. I personally loved it. As you enter the bar, it is really cramped with the bar serving area, the bar counters, the bar stools, the people on the bar stools and then finally the people around the people on the bar stools. All jostling for space, having a sip and having a chat. You overhear so many things while trying to make your way down to your table, ( if you are lucky enough to have one) that a conversation is bound to begin. I can't remember when was the last time when I made friends with so many random strangers at a bar on a Monday night. If you like informal, slightly cramped places with cheap beer Jimmy's Corner should definitely be on your list. If you are the posh kinds who like formality and their personal space this is a place you should avoid.

Cheap drinks and great service close to Times Square; a hidden gem

By lacy g |

This is where the locals go to drink. Its a small dive bar with tons of boxing memorabilia. Our server at Bubba Gump recommended this place 3 years ago and I've been going back ever since. The drinks are cheap, but depending on the time of day it can be very crowded and seating is limited. I try to go early because it can get very busy.

Nice cheap bar

By jdtootell |

Very friendly staff, including table service. Only $3 a Rolling Rock beer which round here is awesome. The bar is really interesting, with boxing stuff everywhere, toilet covered in graffiti, essentially the place is loaded with character. Whilst I wouldn’t bring my kids here, it’s a cracking bar for a few beers.

Humble & Unique Place Near Times Square

By Avi P |

This place was established by a retired boxer or trainer (or so the legend says). Located in the very center it offers a variety of beers only, very good quality, at a very reasonable price considering the location, nice atmosphere, unobtrusive music (at least in the back where we sat), excellent beers, quick service, reasonable prices. Look for this place if you are in the area. quite a few theaters are around. A word of caution: don't expect anything but beers. They don't serve food. I have not checked the cocktails. But the beers are really excellent.

Great little bar

By Ann477477 |

Full of character and very cheap beer. Felt like a real American bar rather than a chain. Quite small so not good for large groups but we got seated quickly. Worth a visit.

Small friendly bar

By Maxence D |

A parenthesis in New York, a small, friendly bar with portraits and posters of Mohamed Ali. The cocktails and beers are good. A beer and a cocktail for only $9 with taxes included.

Unforgettable memories

By naddie1 |

Took my friends here as I had visited previously. This was one of there holiday hi-lights. We had a great night in here meeting many a character, such a great laugh was had. Drink is cheap which is always a bonus.

Proper friendly dive bar

By DaveBhoy72 |

Stopped in here for a beer while the family were at a show. Beers were less than half the price of some of the other bars round about, but the bar itself, the staff and the other customers were far better - friendly and chatty. Definitely a place to stop in for a refreshment

Absolute Gem

By JTDSDublin |

This place sticks out like a sore thumb so close to Times Square these days.. but in the best way possible Comes with a great rep and doesn't disappoint. Price for drinks is rock bottom for the area. Draft IPA is dirt cheap and really good Boxing memorabilia covers every inch of wall space, which is amazing if you like boxing and interesting at the very least if you don't Would say this is a must visit spot

Great little bar

By One hungry northerner |

Hard to believe this gem is steps from Times Square. It's a dive bar so don't expect too much but the walls are covered in old boxing photos and makes interesting viewing. Barmaid was a little off hand to be fair but I've seen worse in U.K. to be honest. $3 for a large bud light . Really busy on a Saturday night around 7pm. Feels like an authentic NYC bar rather than a tourist trap.

Not impressed

By thewallsonvacation |

We were recommended this bar but we wished we hadn't bothered. Walked in staff at first ignored us especially after we said we had been recommended. The place had a load of locals obviously been in there all day due to cheap drinks and one got very up close and personal to one of my friends...hence we left soon after. G&T like dishwater.

Great dive bar!

By Northern_Lassy81 |

Came here after reading good reviews. This is a great little bar,no frills,no gimmicks, just proper drinks and great prices considering how close it is to times square. Well worth a visit!

Great bar

By tatts92 |

We visited here a couple of times last week while we were in New York. I found out about this place on trip advisor and so glad that I did, it's easily the cheapest bar in the city! It's just a pity it's not bigger as it gets very busy.

Old skool bar with history

By Andy Loug |

A real gem in the expensive and modern area of Time Square and Broadway - just 10 meters from the noisy touristic place and you touch the real history of NY bars - this bar is dedicated to boxing and a lot of famous boxers were here - a great photo gallery on the walls, a jukebox with old jazz & blues and the great interior. Don't forget to say "hello" and to express respect for the owner - he usually sitting in the far room. No happy hours, but they aren't needed - the place stays on good fair prices!

Cheap beer

By EddieODP |

It was a pleasant bar a bit small but the service made up for that. The beer was cheap especially for New York. I would say it more of a working man’s pub.

Proper NYC dive bar

By Jimmy A |

Excellent bar to mix with locals and get away from the Irish Bar culture of NYC. Some characters chatting at the bar, great jukebox and best value beer in NYC. 3 bucks a pint when most bars are 7-9 bucks....

Cheap cheap!! And on Times Square!

By Melanie A |

Fab wee pub. Right next to Times Square - across from Millenium Broadway Hotel. Approx $3 for a vodka and mixer. Mixed bag of tourists and locals. Great atmosphere.

THE BEST & THE CHEAPEST BAR IN NY

By RarDen2024 |

Best and cheapest bar in NY. That’s all. Boxing memorabilia, cheap beer, good people. I’m writing all of this because I have to write 100 hundred characters. Just come here. It’s the BEST.

Affordable beer in a boxing museum

By 254arthurk |

Jimmy’s is a small bar with beer prices you can afford and an abundance of boxing memorabilia-not a fancy place, but a good spot to rest and look around. No food served, so plan ahead.

Fabulous local dive bar

By snowboardgirl2015 |

This spot is great value and super friendly with lovely bar staff and a nice crowd. Made to feel welcome even as tourists. Highly recommended

Authentic NewYork Dive Bar with a Fighting History

By Ed N |

This tiny narrow dive bar just off Time Square in the theatre district is a homage to boxing. Great ambience, and the prices are fantastic. First went there about 30 years ago with a friend who was a journo, and it hasn't change since!! Boxing memorabilia adorn the walls. Jimmy's son was behind the bar.

Hidden Gem

By themightyreddevils |

Great little dive bar tucked just off Times Square , 3 dollars a beer and full of local bar flys so must be doing something right!, eye opener for tourists, give it a try!

Rude barmaid

By amanda d |

Not good left waiting at the bar, blonde barmaid was serving friends before us and said not to worry about us we could wait, hasten to ad we didn’t wait so rude, went to the Irish bar next door very friendly would recommend

Jimmy's a gem of a place

By Alain Henderson |

Found this online with Google Maps, visited recently during our trip to NYC. What a gem in the middle of the Times Square area. Mike the bartender was great. Cold beers at great prices. It is a hangout for locals that know what a local bar should be. Shoot out to people we met - Jimmy (courier) and from Ireland Emma & Joe

Always packed!

By Julie Gregory |

We visited twice, couldn't get in the first time as it was so busy! The service is quick, cheap drinks, a great atmosphere, very lively place.

Barmaid rude to the full.

By BARBARA M |

Very, but how stupid and rude the waitress.Hair dyed blonde and dark tips. I ordered two beers and he started barking like a dog, not knowing why.. We were charged two different prices on two equal consumptions. Unpleasant to the maximum. Too bad, because it was a bar, we could have gone more times

Worst bar EVER!!!

By Littlelisat |

Why anyone would give this filthy bar a positive review is beyond me! It is honestly the worst bar I’ve EVER been in, dirty is not the word and the toilets are so grim this place would be closed down immediately if it was in the UK. The Manager/Owner is weird and rude and all our drinks were flat with absolutely NO life in them! We (6 of us) walked out wondering if we’d just dreamt the mess up!!! We can laugh now but WOW how can this bar trade legally?!!! 😂 BAD

A hidden gem.

By Martin B |

Loved this place, a hidden gem recommended to us by a local. Met a chap locally called the Mayor! Great laugh with brilliant New Yorkers.

Great night.

By sc0tn0r |

Found this great little bar during a visit to New York. Mainly a local clientele with a smattering of tourists like ourselves. All the locals were friendly and willing to speak with us. The barmaid Jamie was really friendly and chatty and excellent at her job. At $3 a beer you can’t beat it . Enjoyed our evening so much we went back the following evening. Thanks to all.

Typical bar with decor to match We're in the mood straight away The server is super friendly The beers are very good

Rude Manager

By heraldics |

We visited this bar today near Times Square. The bartender (who was very nice) made a comment that he went to the University of Washington, because he saw our Seahawks shirts. I told him he must have had a good GPA to get in there. Our oldest daughter had a 4.0 gpa and graduated from UW. Our younger daughter could not get accepted there because her GPA was only 3.85. But I mentioned that my daughters good friend was able to get into UW because she was from Thailand (a minority in Seattle), and she was able to get in with a 2.5 GPA. I said nothing about wether I agreed with that policy or not. Simply stated a 100% fact. The reason I brought it up was that I thought maybe there was a similar policy for those out of state students as there is for minorities. The younger guy behind the bar was helping stock. He turned and loudly started yelling rudely at my wife and I. He yelled “NO POLITICS IN THE BAR”… I never said a thing about politics or if I agreed with the policy or not. He just got a thrill out of humiliating us I guess. Definitely won’t be back to this bar, and it put a huge damper on our New York experience. Unbelievable! Again though, the bartender was at least nice! The rude guy stocking was the manager I believe.

Always come here!

By Kayleighpeg |

Everytime in NYC I come here. The staff are fantastic, the beer is cold and cheap, and the atmosphere is brilliant. This is one of my happy places in NYC! Boxing memorabilia on the walls and lots of different people. Would highly recommend.

Awful

By Harvey F |

The worst bar i have ever been to in my life. The young woman behind the bar was far from friendly, two coronas from the fridge was seen as a chore and tutted in our faces. Me and my girlfriend will never return again. The cheap drinks do not make up for the lacklustre staff. Avoid.

Great little find.

By ju21james |

What a great find this was. Apart from a cheap beer, looking at the memorabilia on the walls was interesting.Great friendly bar staff and met some nice friendly locals. So good we went back again for a second night.

Nice American pub

By robertodeca |

Classic American pub with a rich choice of dishes and beer. Good burgers with fairly high prices for us Italians, after all it's like this throughout NY. Nice place to try

brought back some memories

By travellingexpat_12 |

not many of these places left in midtown. this is a bit of a dive bar that still has some fight left in it-it's scrappy and unpretentious. met ali's corner man who was a very nice gentleman.

My kind of place!

By Procol1 |

My kind of pub this. Real and earthy! It's only small. A long and narrow bar and s3ating area. Decent crowd of people and an excellent draft IPA. Would be my local if I lived here!

Great, unassuming bar in central location

By Peter T |

This was recommended to us by someone in our hotel. On arrival the place looks like a dive but keep with it. Inside, the impression doesn't change that much. It doesn't look as if anything has been touched in years but the place was packed with locals and tourists alike. The barman was absolutely off his face and was bouncing around behind the bar but he was still serving drinks and didn't drop anything. He was great to talk to and we stayed way longer than intended. Best aspect was the price of drinks - pretty much half that of the mainstream bars and restaurants at $16 for 2 large beers and 2 very drinkable glasses of white wine. I urge you - please check it out

Love it!

By Jannet F |

Brilliant little bar just off Times Square, lively atmosphere, inexpensive drinks, great music playing on Jimmy's juke box. Can't fault this place, love it.

A Gem of a Bar

By High Plains Drifter |

We found this place from a friend and it was a really great experience. An authentic bar just yards from Time Square was so unexpected that it only added to the experience. A proper dive bar - and I mean that as a compliment - I couldn't recommend this place highly enough for lovers of genuine watering holes. If your coming with a big group or looking for food, forget it; this place is for conversation - surrounded by a veritable gallery of boxing memorabilia.

Rude bar staff, dirty and grungy

By Dawn B |

We were recommended Jimmy's Corner by the lovely bloke who drove us round Central Park. He advised that beyond the sleazy exterior was a nice bar with reasonably priced drinks so we thought we'd give it a try! BIG MISTAKE!! Beyond the sleazy exterior is a dirty, grungy bar with scared tables and rickety chairs. The drinks were cheap, not surprisingly as the beer was flat and the Coke was water and ice with some food colouring thrown in. The server was rude and obnoxious after putting a dollar in the jukebox , spoke to me like I was a naughty toddler, no sign saying you couldn't use it. A tip for the owner, if you don't won't people to use the jukebox, don't have it switched on or put a sign up stating this! The toilets were something tramps would think twice about using. Overall not a nice experience and I would strongly advise to give Jimmy's a swerve and drink so where with friendly staff and hygienic facilities!

My kind of bar!

By tdilly |

We had seen this recommended in travel books. We went by it a couple times on our way to other places, but vowed to stop on one of our visits to Times Square. So glad we did....it is just as described....a classic shot & a beer bar that you don't see much of these days. Small, crowded, loud and friendly.....the bartender was friendly, the patrons were friendly, gave us all kinds of tourist advice and even gave up their seats at the bar because we looked tired. Drinks are cheap and just keep coming.....will need to spend more time there next trip to NYC.

If you’re a boxing fan and enjoy a beer… you MUST visit this bar !!!!

By bf92 |

I’m a huge boxing fan and came across this bar prior to visiting New York so it was on the “to do” list for our trip…. And it really did not disappoint !!!! The beers were the cheapest we seen during our stay and the atmosphere around the bar was great… juke box was playing music and the bar itself was very busy. We were fortunate to get a seat at the long bar but there is more seating towards the back. This place though is an absolute dream for any boxing fan… it is absolutely steeped in boxing history with photos including many signed photos everywhere. From the photos it’s clear that Mike Tyson has visited a fair few times along with many other top fighters. I’d also like to add that the lady behind the bar was brilliant… really on the ball !!!

What a place every year my wife and myself visit Newyork for 4 weeks at a time we love the place but kept walking g by this joint as it didn't look up to standard but how wrong we were so don't always go with first impressions.the story behind the place and also the bar staff it was great to spend the entire day in the jukebox and the old songs that come with it is memories that I will take to my grave then after the Broadway show we went back in but by this time it was like sardines really busy right until daybreak keep up the good work and the cheapest beers in Newyork bar none

Cheap beers, friendly service

By FormerCaliBoy |

Jimmy's Corner has a long bar at the entrance with stools and small tables located in the rear space. There are a variety of beers on tap, I had an IPA ($4.50) and was able to grab a table at the back as the bar seats were full. I guess I would describe the music during my visit as light rock. The bartender was friendly and quick to pour my beer. The regulars come here for the cheap drinks and to meet friends. This is a small, but really cool spot. I did not realize until just before leaving that they had a juke box. There are lots of sports memorabilia around the place and several TV's on showing sports programming on my visit. Highly recommended!

Classic NY bar

By hcam08 |

This is a must for visitors. A very narrow bar but full of atmosphere. Lots of interesting photos on the walls. Excellent beer at only $3 a pint.

Hole in the wall gem!

By Penguin32 |

We visited here in December and were not disappointed. We made our way back in April as this bar is a must visit place. It doesn't seem very inviting from the outside, but don't be fooled, once inside you are in for a treat! Best to sit at the bar if you can. The bar staff, Karim, Tiffany and Mike were so friendly. Drinks are priced sensibly, unlike the ridiculous prices you pay elsewhere. Great atmosphere, boxing memorabilia on the walls and a great juke box. We have met some great people in here and we will be back! I thoroughly recommend a visit to Jimmy's corner, ignore comments that this is a bad, dirty place. It is a gem of a place back to how I imagine the bars in NYC were years ago.

Cheaper drinks than anywhere else nearby

By touchingcloth |

Friendly and cheap bar in the centre of Manhattan. Generally busy but you won't get a beer at a more reasonable price anywhere in the vicinity

Fashionably focused on boxing

By Pete |

As the name “Jimmy’s Corner “ implies, it’s a bar that is all about boxing. I want to say that I saw a lot more of Muhammad Ali than anybody else. As a word of caution, this bar gets very crowded and it only has about 10 barstools and/or chairs. It’s in the heart of Manhattan and if you are traveling by train, it ends up being very convenient. The prices must be good because I had 3 shots of bourbon and my check was only $9. It’s a cool bar.

Bitchy Barstaff and dirty plastic ice bucket

By Rick |

Very bitchy barstaff in this place if you go on a Sunday. Don’t use the ice because they collect it from a back room in a dirty white plastic bucket....

done the job

By paul j |

visited here every day ( 4 ) as like to look at the boxing pictures, yes its a dive bar and the toilets are not first class and its small so prepare to stand, never got charged the same twice but its still far cheaper then any other bar close by so get down there, even if its for one !!!!

A Great Find

By ACASM |

Yards from Times Square, but an original American bar. Thin, with a bar running up the left with seating and a gangway to the right where people stand when it gets busy. Toilets and tables at the back. Two large TV's and a great atmosphere. Plus it's $3 for a beer!!! An oasis in the middle of the mayhem.

Super Tight, Tiny Bar

By miscellani |

This place is like a galley kitchen: open the door to enter and there’s a narrow hallway that is the bar seating area and walkway. It was extremely crowded, fire hazard packed, when we went on a Friday night — so keep that in mind if you plan to go on the weekend. This place is not for atmosphere; it’s for cheaper drinks in NYC.

Great local pub

By Hackmaster |

My husband and I stopped in for a beer while waiting for a show. This is exactly the type of local place that I like. The boxing theme and old pictures are fascinating. Cheapest beer I've ever had in NYC.

Okey

By Marcus P |

If you're a fan of the 70's this might be spot on for you. Lots of boxing pictures and posters on the walls. Good prices in the bar.

Jimmy's

By Madcyril999 |

Our first visit to New York and this become our favourite bar while there. A proper dive bar in the old school sense. Great atmosphere & wonderful bar staff . A brilliant juke box that soundtracks the drinks and chat.

A hidden Gem in NYC - you MUST visit.

By Steve & Fay |

A great, traditional and dedicated bar. Dedicated to a life in Boxing and the legacy of boxer and trainer Jimmy Glenn. Great priced drinks. Friendly staff, plenty to look at on the walls. Unchanged since 1971. Give it a visit when in NYC.

Friendly wee dive

By Louis J |

Great wee bar in the heart of Times Square .Place is cheap as chips for drinks and the vibe is excellent.Bar staff are friendly and you get a good blether with the locals also.Much better than the rip off Irish bars.😉🍺

Jimmy's is the BEST

By Andrew S |

For those who are complaining about the service, you just don't get it. Fortunately I was able to go twice, once with friends and once with my wife before Jimmy and his wife passed on. Jimmy was the nicest guy you'll ever meet, giving up his seat in an instance for a customer. Meanwhile, I can assure you, you never wanted to ask his wife a stupid question. She would let you know it was stupid and then pour some more verbal gravy on top of it. Jimmy's Corner is THE BEST place to go in NY. If you're a snowflake, keep walking.

Cheap and cheerful with loads of character

By David M |

Recently been here before the whole lock down. Was a good bar with very cheap prices! We paid $4 for a Boston lager just off times spare. Decent atmosphere as well. Would definately go again!

quirky

By phil |

great place only drawback is it's tiny an you are not guaranteed a drink as so small but if your lucky it's a good atmosphere an great staff

Hidden gem

By jessj719 |

Absolutely loved this place, I found it on google and it was perfect for us. My husband loves dive bars and it reminded us of home (Manchester) prices and amazing considering the location and the staff are fabulous love love love this place!

The best dive bar by Times Square

By Erin |

Jimmy’s Corner The best dive bar by Times Square This place is an oasis in an area of overpriced drinks. Hanging out here, drinking $4 pints of Sam Adams was a highlight of our trip. The yellowing photos of boxers on the walls were an added bonus too. But don’t expect to move around too much. The quarters are pretty cramped at Jimmy’s.

Awful

By FoxfordOx |

It's almost as if they take pride in poor service and low standards. Not even a thank you for a tip. Never again.

Cheapest drinks in town

By Paul D |

Classic dive bar. Tons of boxing photos, collectibles and memorabilia. The jukebox has tons of classic hits, The drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is lively definitely worth checking out.

Boxed off with a great recommendation

By liverpoolroo |

We were recommended Jimmys Corner for its boxing association and reasonably priced beer and we weren’t disappointed. This bar was a welcome watering hole on a really hot day in NYC. It was very non touristyNew York bar and a little bit rough and ready. The beers were indeed very reasonable compared to other bars we’ve been to. The boxing memorabilia is intriguing and it just has a really honest no frills feel to it. We would definitely go back on our next trip.

Proper American bar

By Paul |

We visited Jimmy’s over the weekend after hopping from bar to bar up and down Times Sq. Exhausted after walking miles on end we wanted something chilled out and away from the bright spotlights of TS. This was the one we’d been looking for and once we we there we stayed put. $6 for two pints (well as close as you’ll get to a pint in America) and an authentic American bar, which was exactly what we wanted. People on here are complaining about the staff and the toilets, but you get what you pay for - it’s not a big commercial thing with bells and whistles, it’s a side street bar with boxing pictures on the wall and an old juke box! Yes the toilets are a bit minty and the staff look as though they’re bored as hell, but if you want a loud, all singing all dancing circus, just walk a few hundred yards to the left and you’re there. This is by far one of the best bars you’ll go to - if you’re a bit pompous and up your own rear end then just go somewhere else and pay megabucks.

Fun locals (type) bar

By Canterqueen |

My husband's favorite midtown bar. Owned by a former boxer (or at least that is what we heard). Lots of memorabilia on the walls. Would definitely return!

Hidden gem!

By Richie Presley |

We found this bar just off Times Square on our last night of a 4 night stay and wish we’d found it sooner! It was just $3 + tip for a pint of Bud Light compared to the $10 + tip I paid in other bars! There was a great atmosphere, yeah it’s small but we loved it and it was just what we imagined a bar in NYC to be like! When we come back to New York again we’ll definitely visit Jimmy’s Corner again.

Knockout

By Peter c |

Well what can I say about this bar unbelievable best somes it up for me not the biggest place in NY but deffo 1 of the best for a pint.bar staff where spot on and Adam was more than happy to answer questions about the bar and his late father (RIP) if u can get a seat at the bar keep it and enjoy also cheapest pint just off times square

Great atmosphere, friendly staff

By Adam |

At $3 a pint (30 seconds off of Times Square no less) this is a brilliant place to kick back and have a beer of an afternoon or evening. The staff are really friendly and keep the beers flowing. There is also an awesome collection of boxing memorabilia, if you want somewhere near Times Square to have a beer and not get ripped off this is the place to go!

Avoid

By samdixey2001 |

Based on reviews we went along. 0 atmosphere, 0 greeting, 0 service. Have no idea what others see in this place. It’s tiny, dirty, and completely unwelcoming. They would have to pay me to drink here. Wouldn’t bother if I were you, we went next door and the difference was like day and night.

Great Local Bar

By JandDatOCD |

During a four day visit to New York we called into Jimmy’s Corner for a few beers on a few occasions. As always a great atmosphere and full of a mixture of locals and tourists. The bartenders are so friendly. This is one of our favourite bars and we would highly recommend a visit.

Cheap drink - whats not to like!

By Elaine B |

This was on our list of "to-do's" and yes its dirty, yes its very small, yes the toilets are covered in gravity, but this add's to the charm of this bar. The cheap drink was a delight from the extortionate prices we paid elsewhere.

Cheap drinks in cool classic neighborhood bar

By NTallis |

Feels like you are in "real" New York. Jimmy is an ex boxing trainer and photos of boxers such as Muhammad Ali line the walls. The clientele is mainly local and very friendly. Good cheap drinks. Music was a mixture of jazz and soul giving it a great vibe

Cheap drinks. World class boxing bar

By Big dog |

Found this gem and my new best friend. Cheap drinks ($4 beer) and fantastic atmosphere. Don’t go in expecting world class speedy service. It’s a dive bar. But really good and safe.

Excellent dive

By Tropicalmich |

If you love dive bars, this is your place. Very small. Super cheap drinks, friendly staff and patrons. We liked it so much we went 4 times.

Cheap but limited

By gonetripping2015 |

No munchies at all. Just straight up drinks at a fair price and fast service. Guess they want you out as soon as possible. Restroom OK.

A Very Small Place

By andyp27512018 |

Thought this place was under reconstruction when we approached due to the state of the outside Not a great reception when you walk in and you defiantly won't be able to swing a cat Intact you're lucky if you can find a seat

Cheap Beer

By Bridgehill68 |

I've been to jimmy s many years ago pleased to see its still open. Cheapest lager in New York 4 dollars a pint. Full of character but if you want wine bar or fake expensive Irish bar go elsewhere. As for the barmaid she was fine with us.

Best bar in Manhatton

By Peter G |

A boxing fans heaven. Full of memorabilia from over the decades. Staff where amazing and the beers the cheapest youll find in NY. Dont expect glitz and glammer, just a real down to earth bar for down to earth people.

Great little "dive" bar!

By Chris O |

We stumbled upon this bar while walking around Manhattan and were pleasantly surprised at this little "dive" bar. We love trying out hole in the wall bars during our travels and this one did not disappoint. The bar is small so it takes a little time to get a drink when crowded but the bartender acknowledged us waiting and said he would be right with us, totally understandable when he was the only one behind the bar at the time. We did not wait a real long time for service and the bartender was very kind and got our drinks quickly, and also the follow up from him checking on us after a little bit. This bar has some great old city bar vibes in it, including the back sitting area. Try it out the next time you are in the area, you won't be disappointed if you like this type of atmosphere, which we do.

Oasis in Times Square

By Highlandhotshot |

If you would like reasonably priced alcohol in a location where everywhere else is overpriced come here. Ok not the nicest decor or upkeep but we found the service attentive and the beer was good although the Bud Light appeared flat. It was busy which told its own story young and old everyone seemed to be happy!

Our favourite NYC bar!

By Angela |

I hesitate to review this place as it is a total gem of a place and I’m not sure I want it to be over visited! Brilliant vibe, classic dive bar and great value!

WARNING DON'T GO WAY TO FRIENDLY YOU'LL NEVER LEAVE

By Dawn I |

1st called here in 2016 after reading TripAdvisor reviews then when we revisited NYC in 2018 we knew where we would be calling 1st this place is great yes it's definitely not fancy but the atmosphere is brilliant everybody at the bar locals and holiday makers chat away like they are old friends the staff especially karim is very friendly the bar opens at 12 midday we went at 12.45 and could just get a seat at the bar the drinks are very cheap compared to everywhere else we found normal price in midtown for a draft bud light and a bottle of coors was between $14 & $15 in jimmys corner it is $6 For both if you are the type of people who like somwhere posh then don't go but if you like a bar that is rough round the edges but the glasses and the beer line's are clean the customers and staff are friendly and the talk can get a bit rowdy then this is the bar to be in the only rule is DON'T TALK POLITICS

Bad staff

By Andy k |

In line for a beer and service goes to people behind cause they know them, heard good things from England so tried it. Bar staff said to there friend about me DONT BOTHER BOUT HIM recommend place next door very welcoming

Relaxed place for a well-priced beer!

By Benjamin H |

My wife and I visited a month ago and it was HOT so we headed inside Jimmy's for cover and loved it. Narrow and crowded, lively and loud - two Coronas for $8 which for my money is pretty good going - especially in the Times Square area. Lots of interesting pictures and photographs hanging on the wall. Pull up a stool at the bar and listen to New York chatter. Would definitely go back!

Great place for drinks in Time Square

By Juju Gurgel |

If you want to have drinks while in Time Square but do not want to over pay for them then you definitely want to go to Jimmy's corner. The place is literally a corner, more like a hallway actually, however, the staff is cool and pretty laid back. Did I mention that they do not overcharge for drinks and they are located in Times Square? lol The place is old and the bathroom isn't very cleaned but you are going there to drink and not to eat or sleep so get over it! The bartender told the most expensive drink they have cost $7, you can't beat that! If you want to read more about my stay in New York, you can visit my website jujugurgeldotcom

Friday Summer Night Fun

By Becca S |

Came here after a concert Friday night. The place was packed and was very difficult to walk through as it's very narrow or to find a spot at the bar but once you do there are a few tables to sit at in the back. The drink glasses were on the small side but we were getting rum and cokes for like 4 or 5 bucks. Great find and great price just off of times square. The crowd was mixed, loud, and VERY drunk but it was nothing unusual for your typical dive bar. We enjoyed the rigged jukebox full of jazz and soul music finding some oldies but goodies and frankly had a blast. Will definitely be back the next time we visit.

Lovely little bar

By SCORPIO67 |

This place was straight opposite hotel. It was really busy & we had the cheapest drinks during our whole stay in NY. Very lively, owner made us welcome. Lovely little place

MUST Visit NYC '70's Bar - Affordable

By JulieNewJersey |

Went in to see NETWORK @ the Beacon. Since the show was done by 4pm we decided to go across the street to Jimmy's to have a drink. When we walked in, it was like walking into the 1970's. There were boxing pictures & articles everywhere. At the end of the bar there was a jukebox that was classically lite up in neon. There were people in suites & nice outfits to regulars in jeans. A place where if you want a reasonably priced drink & need no frills it perfect. No one is in a rush in this bar either. It is very popular that you might have to stand so don't be in a hurry. Pretty sure you will have a celebrity sighting while you are there. I would definitely go back again. (Service a 3 only because you might have to wait. It was not a negative to us)

A must visit in Times Square.

By Terry B |

A must visit bar if you’re looking for typical dive bar. Great atmosphere, fantastic memorabilia of boxing on the walls. Friendly welcome from the staff and it won’t break the bank. Loved it in here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Times Square.

Wonderful

By JamesSPCummins |

You have to go here. I mean, you just have to go here. If you are in the Times Square area, you have no choice. This is a museum of a bar, with boxing memorabilia preserved by peopled ACTUALLY involved in the most important fights of the last hundred years. Cheap drinks, warmest bar staff in the land, it is the opposite of the stuff around it. This is just a must, must go when in this area of Manhattan.

Jimmys Corner the place to go….

By Gary1973 |

Just had 5 nights in New York staying on 47th street, went to Jimmy’s the first night we were there then every day after that.. cheapest place with great atmosphere and Andre behind the bar is a real star.. good crack and very friendly, we will be back in 2 years and Jimmy’s will be our bar of choice…

Great bar

By honestholiday2010 |

We (2 couples) have just returned from New York where we stayed in the Millenium broadway hotel. Right opposite is Jimmys Corner, a hidden gem of a bar. Take it for what it is, cheap, cheerful, just off Times Square yet stooped in history. The walls are covered in boxing memorabilia and the staff are great.

Really cheap drink in Midtown Manhatten.

By Catherine C |

The outside of the pub is pretty grotty looking & we peeked in the door to check it out. We were warmly welcomed in by the barman & took up stools at the bar. Inside is very narrow & a bit shabby with lots of boxing photos on the walls. However the drinks measures were huge & REALLY cheap! The barman was really friendly. There was a mix of locals & a few tourists. There was a great atmosphere in the bar & a jukebox that provided the eclectic mix of tunes! Well worth a visit if you’re looking for a cheap drink.

Best bar in NYC

If you want a traditional bar with just good atmosphere great beers ,good service and cheapest drinks in town. This is your place.

Boxing Clever

By Brian F |

Ace little dive bar just off Times Square. We were recommended to visit this place 5years ago and have been going back every year ever since. Jimmy Glenn, the former corner man to Mohammed Ali, is a gentleman and although now older and not involved serving in his bar, still remembers us and gives us a warm welcome. Remember, it is a dive bar and definitely not the Ritz, but great still a great little bar and for $3 a beer and around $4 for a spirit is excellent value in New York. Check out all the memorabilia on the wall and the personal message from the Mayor of NYC to Jimmy. it is quite narrow and only a small room at the back, but great Motown music and atmosphere.

Cheap and cheerful

By Janmox |

Cheapest place to get a drink no rip offs place a little dark and dismal but just like your old fashion type pubs personally liked it my sister didn,t so each to their own !!
