Fantastic pizza spot, close to Times Square with a family authentic Italian feel. There are lots of Pizza places to visit in New York, however this one is very unique due to the history behind it. It is one of the oldest venues in the city, with a wall dedicated to photographs of celebrities that have visited over the years. You can tell that the pizza is good, because it is always queuing out the door, so allow yourself some time if planning to visit. Options include slices of pizza, or full pizzas with a variety of different options. Prices are cheap with just 4 dollars for a slice. Would recommend for a quick visit.

Pizza was unbelievable. Best slice I’ve had in the city. The line is long and wraps outside, but they are incredibly efficient and move folks in and out. Not a lot of standing room inside, but absolutely worth the wait!

Good to eat here was an odyssey, a queue of 1 hour, I ate the supreme and it was 10, but the pepperoni was normal not sublime.

Good pizza in NYC. Can get slices of everything. Always a liberal, but moves quickly. They also have Sicilian slices. Hot, fast and tasty. Not a fan of the sauce. Better pizza in New Haven.

2 hours Waiting time in a gutter that alternately stinks of piss, shit or marijuana. Dry pizza cookie that smells like rotten dishcloth. But luckily they invented pizza in NY...

Great New York pizza. Think twice about going to the Times Square location. There must have been 40 people in line at this spot so it's definitely better to go to one of there other locations because it's not that good to wait that long in my opinion.

We ordered Joe’s pizza for two of us and so glad we order only 1 it was massive! The ingredients felt great quality and arrived fast. Best slice in NYC without a doubt.

Caught up in an urgent desire for pizza after several days of abstinence, we tried the famous cheese slice (which would be our daisy). The pizza is thin, quite good. A lot of queue to buy it and little space to sit and eat.

This iconic restaurant should be delivered if you're a pizza fan. There was a short queue outside the small shop, but we had our slices super fast.

Really great pizza and a very large slice for under 6 dollars. Great choice of flavors. Service is super quick and there are places to sit and eat .

+ Variety of tastes, speed of service, excellent quality. - availability of space for very limited consumption.

Crust was beyond burnt not much sauce wait not worth it overcrowded- probably one of the worst pizza's I ever ate do not recommend

This is our absolute 'go to' place for Pizza in NYC and is without a doubt the 'BEST' Pizza you'll ever have outside of Italy 🇮🇹 Its easy to get to 'just off' Times Square on 1435 Broadway... If you love Pizza then Joe's is the place to go!!!

Very good place to eat pizza and very good atmosphere of everyone's idol Spiderman who apart from superhero is also a great pizza delivery guy🕷️🕸️

You must be patient when visiting the place After a wait you will most likely eat standing and if you are lucky you have a shared table Still worth the experience of visiting this famous Spiderman movie spot Enjoy a rich slice of Peperoni pizza and know a place more than you should not miss when you visit NY and more if you like pizzas.

Small and quaint place. Great pizza with wide choice. Friendly staff. A must try if you are in New York.

So in NY felt like we had to try this! Now the queues are not for the faint hearted! It’s a long queue and in hindsight I wish I wouldn’t have bothered as it was not worth the wait! Tiny establishment so you can hardly move around, very overwhelming and pretty much just your another number. Feel like when places get so much viral attention it loses that personal touch! The pizza was underwhelming and very dry crusts. I had much better pizza in NY! Try other places for a better experience and food!

Being British, we’re no strangers to queuing, which comes in handy with Joe’s Pizza, except to queue. Despite this it was totally worth it. Some of the freshest tasting pizza, we have eaten.

I wanted to try, if only out of curiosity, knowing already that I would find myself in front of something quite different from the real pizza made in Italy. In New York as in any state of America it is always time to eat a slice, dough and crisp edge, a different taste. I took caprese and the "evergreen" pepperoni pizza (2 slices big enough 12 dollars, not too cheap say) but I must say it was a pleasure to eat it. In New York Joe's Pizza is an institution, if you come here you can't miss going at least once, but avoiding making stupid comparisons with the Italian one.

The pizza was not bad but I will never repeat such an experience again. There are many better places in NYC with relatively lower prices.

line was long , pizza was not that great , sauce was too sweet !!! though staff was nice it felt over rated , very thick crust , it was an ok slice not worth the wait , I would not consider the best pizza in New York , its just simple overhype nothing else , u can o here if u want an average pizza slice and have a lot of time to waste .

Visited with my 9 and 13 year old boys as they wanted to go. Be prepared to queue, we did for about 30 minutes although the queue does keep moving. Plenty of pizzas to choose from either by the slice or whole pizza - seating inside is very limited - maybe 20 seats. Pizza itself was great, freshly cooked and very enjoyable.

The quintessential NY slice. The Times Sq location has long lines, the location on 14th St has quicker service and a little better pizza. A must try.

NY’s iconic landmark, better than visiting these iconic places and tasting the Spiderman pizza, the caprisse is spectacular.

Place was busy so thought we will try it and we really enjoyed the food. Ordered extras and took it home with us for later and can not wait to go again on a date.

Not a big place by any means but busy believe me. The slices of pizza are big enough for a good filler in between meals. The mark down was for the surly man behind the counter, we'd literally walked in to see what there was, no one behind us and he asked "What do you want?" We said we were still deciding and he basically tutted and muttered something under his breath then looked at us with distain. Well we ordered and I went for the White pizza, very good and the girls said the Pepperoni was also on point. Remember to fold it in half before you eat, you are in a Thin Crust town!

Joe's Pizza is simply outstanding! The pizza is incredible, with a crispy edge and authentic flavor that won us over the first time. But what really impressed us was the impeccable service. Despite a small delivery mishap, the staff at Joe's were extremely courteous and professional, quickly resolving the issue and even offering us a free hot pizza. Their customer focus is truly commendable. Without a doubt, we will return to order from Joe's every time we are in New York. Thank you so much for an amazing experience!

When you go to New York it is almost imperative to take a pizza walk from the famous, because of Spider-Man, Joe’s Pizza! The queues to enter are usually long, the few tables are usually full and if you don't want to give a fortune you should get the simple pizza only with tomato sauce! Without talking of course about a bad pizza, I would say that it ranges within the limits of moderation and I am sure there are better in town! In conclusion I would say that it is worth going by curiosity but the pizza is nothing special!

We were in the area and had never tried Joe's Pizza. I know people say it's "touristy", but the night we stopped in I think we were the only non-locals in there. It was busy because the Mets were playing and people were grabbing pizza to go. Every table was full and we were lucky to grab one as someone was leaving. Quick service. Great pizza. Very reasonably priced. I also enjoyed looking at the celebrity photo wall while I ate.

Great pizza, queue was about 20 mins and seats were hard to get. Try to go off peak times and it might be quicker. Recommend for the pizza and identifying all the celeb photos!

If you are in New York you can not miss Joe to taste one of his famous slices. Get ready to queue a bit but it's worth it. Great for a quick lunch.

Never again. I ordered pasta. I waited more than two hours for delivering. I canceled the order and what? I was charded 19 buck. Stay away from this local!!!

The pizza was great.! This was the first time I have eaten a Marquita pizza. Delicious! This pizza establishment was recommended by Academy Hotel staff. Awesome Recommendation.

Good pizza, fast service for New York, in 20 minutes you can have a good pizza. Different types of pizza but I recommend the margherita and the salami one. Excellent prices.

Good pizza. Visiting was more about the notoriety of the site. My grandkids liked it because Peter Parker apparently worked there. The pizza could have been heated up a little longer.

We ordered a pizza to be delivered to our hotel room. The pizza arrived hot and fresh. Joe's is loved by many and it is easy to see why. This is good pizza, the crust is something special. Joe's lives up to the hype.

Alternative dinner in New York to try Joes' renowned pizza. You have to queue a bit before you can enter, the very small place has few seats. The slices are huge and cost around $4 each. Good pizza, but as a Neapolitan alas has little to do with the classic real pizza. To try though

Joe's Pizza on Broadway was great. I heard all the reviews so got their thin pizza slices and tried the Deluxe abd Pepperoni. Total cost was $13 fir 2 slices. Very tasty and lived up to the reputation. Very busy. Very popular with long line at about 12.30pm for lunch. Get your pizza and find a place to eat as there is no space.

A 45min queue in the cold at 1am, to have pizzas that have no taste. I was really disappointed with my visit, I thought given the comments and the crowd that it was worth it.

The pizza is delicious, ok. The environment is small and cramped. You have to eat standing up. Service is fast and works. A slice costs an average of 6 dollars and a whole one costs an average of 30 dollars. I found it overrated.

Average pizza, but you have to count at least 45 minutes in a row before ordering. If you are lucky you find a table either inside or possibly outside.Obviously forget to waste time to choose and enter with clear ideas if you do not want to be sent to that country by employees and diners.

Second trip to NYC and our second trip to Joes. Really good pizza, quick service, brings back some good memories this place, and will continue to do so for more future trips to the big apple.

Pizeria located,,,in madison square and we went why my son is a spiderman forum and there is work in the first film.

Local located along Fulton street comes with a wide choice of huge freshly prepared pizza pans. Possibility to consume it on site. I enjoyed the slice margherita at a cost of $4. Widely suggested.

Went in as a pizza sceptic, how wrong was i? Tbf im from the uk that really only has pizza hut and dominoes to judge from. Joe’s is in a league of its own

We took away 3 slices & coke to eat in the Bryant Park, we paid $18,5, which is fairly cheap! It was tasty, 8/10!! There was a queue but we didn’t wait that long. Eating in the park was so nice, highly recommended!

Very, very tasty pizza. Maybe the best in New York? The prices are reasonable and the selection is OK. You usually have to queue but it's worth it

Visited Joe’s pizza after hearing about it from others and online. When we arrived the live was sooooo long. We stood in line 30 minutes so that we could try it. When you come to NY you have to go the most recommended spots, right? We tried the spinach and garlic, and pepperoni pizza, along with the deep dish cheese pizza. The regular pizza was decent, rate it a 6, but deep dish was such a waste maybe a 2 if that. Come on NYC do better, this can’t be on the list of the best the city has to offer.

Maybe I don’t get American pizza but to this Australian: great vibe but pizza only ok. Super crunchy base, only a handful of seats. I really wanted to love it :(

Joe’s pizza of the Spiderman fame! Stopped here for a quick snack. There was a long line but it moved quickly. You order, grab your slice, and pay at the end. Credit cards accepted. They have slices as well as pies. Delivery/takeout available. Limited indoor seating.

Very disappointed..we had seen the positive feedback and the world ... It reassured us ..but not for long ... very fine and tasteless pizza .. the share (large share ) ranges from 4 to 6 € .. we tasted the supreme among others .. bof bof it nourishes but that's all .. we will not come back c is sure!

This place is definitely worth a visit It’s iconic and the pizzas are so nice I actually preferred the one without tomato sauce but they were all lovely

Always a long line here so went just before noon and wasn’t bad. First time at this location, but I’ve eaten in the one downtown. Quality is the same. Always get the plain cheese pizza as that is the classic. If you want New York pizza this is the place. Don’t bother with toppings, not what they do heat. Sauce, cheese, and thin crust is where this is at.

The pizza here was good and we went at a time where there wasn’t a huge line. The prices were fair for a slice of pizza. There were not a ton of topping choices.

It’s a pizza, and it’s ok… given all the hype around the place you would think it would have been outstanding - it’s not. Our pizza was fine; it’s a pizza dough with simple toppings that anyone can do, but we were expecting Joe’s to be better than others given the mania, 45 minute queue and the crazy prices. Our pizza was overdone around the edges, broken teeth incoming. The base was tasteless… and let’s face it, whilst with pizza you choose the toppings, anybody can throw on a Marinara sauce/cheese/pepperoni/etc, the difference in pizzas is about the base. The difference with this one was it was tasteless. So, with the queue, the lack of quality base and the extreme pricing I give it 1 star. From the back of the queue you can see a $1.50 per slice place (where we picked up pizza the first time we considered Joe’s, we couldn’t face the queue that day) and it was better. I wish I was joking, we went to Joe’s wanting it to be great but we’re really let down.

Joe’s Pizza is one of those iconic places to enjoy in NYC. We wanted to grab a slice before a matinee and Joe’s did not disappoint. The line was down the street but it moved fast and we even snagged a couple of stools inside ( limited searing) to enjoy our delicious thin crust pizza. Good cheap eats.

Staff were rude, pizza was reheated badly and tasted awful and there was a massive queue due to the hype. I was so excited but we were bitterly disappointed

Great service and great pizza! Will definitely be coming back for more next time we are in New York! I had the white pizza and my husband had the pepperoni.

The place is sensational, it looks like we get into a Spider-Man movie, the walls are full of photos of great celebrities. The pizza, then, is amazing, super indicate to give a passadine to eat a good piece of pizza. The place is small but super cool.

Unreal pizza and so tasty! We dream about them still! Queues can be big but you’re queueing for the experience (so much memorabilia) and the great pizza, of course!

The American pizza, served with the typical "slides", is absolutely worth trying: we chose to do it here at Joe's, an iconic place in Manhattan, also present in several films... The pizza, not to be compared to the Italian one but to be tried as an experience in itself, was really very good! The service is fast and the prices are excellent. The experience is uncomfortable because it is basically conceived as a take-away pizzeria, you have to stand in a huge queue that often starts from the street and then if you want to eat the hot pizza, you have to do so leaning in one of the corners of the room, among dozens of others patrons. But as far as I'm concerned it's an absolutely must-try experience!

The famous Spider-Man pizzeria! Always very busy with long queues, but the service is fast! It has become another tourist spot in New York! Pizza doesn't impress by its taste! If you have time and patience, it might be worth seeing the place!

Pizza was good and was delivered very quickly. I had it door dashed to my hotel room. Was still warm when I got it. I would recommend

There is always a very long queue, at lunch, at dinner or after dinner. But don't be scared even if you see a hundred people in front of you because the service is very fast and in about ten minutes you will be at the counter. Very good pizza, crunchy and tasty. Perhaps the crust is a little dry, the final bite. Very low prices for being in the center of Manhattan. Two slices of margherita with a coke and a water $14

As an Italian, I can say that you cannot find better pizza to eat in New York. I recommend weather permitting, to order it and eat it sitting in the evening at briant park which is there attached.

I had read about Joe's Pizza and how it was one of the best pizza places in New York City - which left me with big expectations for an out-of-this-world experience. When I arrived it was little more than a street-side pizza joint selling average tasting pizza by the slice. It was average and a bit pricey. There weren't enough tables to sit down and we ended up standing on the sidewalk trying to eat the pizza in a light mist.

Very good NY style pizza, good value and fast service. We walked in and there was only one person in front of us, we ordered immediately and were served quite promptly. We were expecting to have to eat on the street, but were pleased to find seats inside the restaurant. Not fancy, but as expected.

Six of us, no one was impressed. I’ll speak for myself and just say I didn’t enjoy the pizza. 20-minute or so wait on a Thursday night, which was fine. Nowhere to eat inside. We lucked out and there was a small bench open outside so we were able to sit and eat. None of this is a problem if the pizza was better.

We were staying in Times Square and decided to try one of Joes Pizzas. We ordered a full Pepperoni pie and 2 bottles of drink. The pizza was lovely; cooked to perfection and very tasty. The bill came to $41, and I gave my credit card to the server, who seemed to take a while processing my payment. When I got back to the hotel, I noticed a $15 gratuity had been taken from my card in addition to the agreed $41. This was not agreed, nor discussed at the time of ordering. Great pizza, but an outright scam. Avoid this pizza joint!

I lined up forever after a rainy night of theater and when I got to the checkout they told me I hadn't lined up because no one had taken care of me before, I had to do it again. I still don't understand the mistreatment. Disastrous and unexplained. I was basically kicked out.

This is what the SNL line skit is all about. There is nothing special about this pizza. It's average. Why is the line so long? What are these people waiting for? Order online and pickup in 5 minutes. That's what we did. I'm not waiting in that line! We did have it twice (because my kiddo insisted). But come on, it's just nothing special.

We ordered delivery to eat at the hotel, which was practically next to the pizzeria! It took 1 hour and 20 min. to arrive, and it arrived cold with a rubbery consistency. I was disappointed! If it were far away, I would even understand but a delivery next door?! Lack of respect... the impression that delivery was made anyway and they value on-site service. The value is high! Compared to other pizzas around NY! It's just fame! I won't go back and I don't recommend it! Much less standing in line for hours to do so.

We walked past Joe’s Pizza the day we arrived and the line was down the block. We went a few days later and got lucky with a short line. The line moves very quickly. The place is very small but there are a few places to sit inside and outside. The pizza is very fresh. They are constantly cooking and offering up fresh selections. Slices are generous in size with very affordable prices. No beer is served but there is a cooler with soft drinks and water. The pizza was delicious.

We queued (but it flowed really fast) to taste what they say is the best sly pizza in the city. You have to say it was a really great experience. A really sublime pepperoni pizza. Recommendation to try it if you are in New York

Tourist scam. $5 a slice of pizza which is the same as that of any screusa pizzeria/kebbabaro you find anywhere (with 5 euros you can buy pizza though). Absolutely not justified other than to say “been there”. For me, absolutely avoidable

Joe's Pizza is an institution for pizza lovers in New York. Their New York-style pizza is renowned for its thin, crisp crust, tasty sauce and stringy cheese. Many customers praise the consistent quality of the slices served, calling them among the best in the city. The atmosphere is that of a classic pizzeria: simple, crowded and lively, with a fast and efficient service. Given the venue's popularity, it's common to find a line at the entrance, but the wait is definitely worth it to enjoy an authentic slice of New York.

The most famous pizza in New York!! To taste the famous slice of Margherita we waited quite a while but in the end it was worth it!!

What a Pizza spot!!...there was a long line to get in but well worth the wait. The pizza was of exceptional quality and although the surrounding seating area is nothing to get excited about the taste of the pizza was outstanding. The place was packed at 11pm but the service was prompt and the pizza making show was amazing. Well worth the visit albeit the wait in line to get to eat and taste this magnificent pizza.

I had to stop here in my visit to NYC- as should any spiderman fan! Can't go wrong with new york pizza tbh. There was no long line when I went. Would recommend

I came here after a show and while it was late at night there was a long line out the door, even though it was a very cold night. Once you order, it only takes a few minutes to heat up the slice(s) you choose. There is a small seating/standing area to eat. The pizza was fantastic.

Line up every hour, as this pizzeria recommended on the web in many culinary itineraries and in the reels on Instagram and tiktok , but it is smooth. Great pizza, a slice of cheese costs $4.5 compared to $1.5 at nearby pizzerias, but is superior in consistency. Also tried the Sicilian and a slice with mozzarella; all good, if you live in Italy, or even more southern Italy, of course it makes less effect. New York pizza is different, but good. Pizza is pizza around the world in all its most imaginative versions. Recommended!

Excellent place to eat quality and famous pizza in the city of NY. In addition to being tasty, the piece is very well served.

Joe’s Pizza did not disappoint!!! Best slice in NYC! Perfect crust, perfect sauce, perfect toppings! Everyone was looking forward to Joe’s. We had visited a couple of other Pizza places, saving Joe’s to compare. Hands down Joe’s was best! I absolutely loved standing at the outdoor counter, eating & people watching. For a brief moment, we all felt like New Yorkers!❤️

My daughter and I were exhausted from a Long day of sight seeing. I read another review that said Joe’s delivers. I went online and ordered a whole pizza with specialty toppings on half. It was delivered to our Times Sauare hotel in 15 mins (at 5 pm) and was only $45 including tip. It was delicious!

We went to this pizzeria before going to see a show on Broadway. After reading a few mixed reviews we decided to go and, in addition to the classic American fast food super-organization, we appreciated the quality of the pizza eaten. Let's be clear, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH NEAPOLITAN PIZZA (very good but already difficult to find in Italy outside of Campania) but it is a pizza with "home" flavors. From Veneto I can say that the margherita eaten here is very very similar to many pizzas eaten in Italy so..... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING THERE IF YOU ARE IN A RUSH AND DON'T WANT TO HAVE BAD SURPRISES ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD!! 👍

We had to try this iconic pizza while visiting NYC. We were all a little underwhelmed. Angelo’s Pizzeria was soooo much better and not nearly the long wait. Glad to have tried it though.

Very good pizza!!! We started with the taste of the dough that was very good and the size is quite large and they have a great variety of ingredients where you can choose in our case we ordered the NY, margarita and pepperoni were excellent and the service is very fast where you pay little wait and you are delivered your order. I recommend it to 100 because if you want to enjoy a good pizza at the pass this is the one and also have delivery. They have a few tables where you can sit or also eat standing.

Top of the line pizza place in the heart of New York City. Amazing food and a rotating cast of tourists all fill the establishment. I highly recommend!

No frills establishment that rattles out excellent pizza slice for a reasonable price. Very limited seating inside and a few lean on tables on the pavement, so don't expect a sit down leisurely meal. But for good pizza at a reasonable price, this place is not a well known institution for nothing!! Some comments about overly long lines, but we only waited about 5 minutes, they are well practiced at keeping things moving.

The line out the door was long but it moves fast. I was skeptical that the pizza would be a good as others mentioned… after all pizza is pizza. I stood corrected. It was great. Would repeat again next time we are back in NYC.

If you are ha manathan you can not help if you intend to eat a great pizza... to pass here..... Consider minimum 35 .. 45 minutes in a row at any time ..... both day and night... because..... is the closest to the Italian .. I would recommend pizza with salami (pepperoni)..ottimmmma!!! It's worth queuing... the place is small, you can take a slice or an entire pizza, 15min more waiting... organized and very good staff.... congratulations!!!

Queued for about 25 minutes before ordering and then a further 10 minutes for the pizza to be cooked to order. Was it worth it? Oh yes indeed. We had pepperoni, sausage and mushroom- large pizza with more than plenty for 2. It was very good and very filling. Big shout out the the man on the till- he did an awesome job of keeping on top of service.

A very overrated slice of pizza! There is always a line but it is definitely not worth it! Negative experience.

I don't think this place needs a review since it is always crowded even at 2 am!!!!! They always serve fresh hot pizza. It is so delicious that I had to get a large one a flew back to LA with it!

First slice I fell in love with my first time in NYC. The crust is thin and tasty, the cheese is chewy just like I like it, the sauce has so much flavor. I love that they have big containers of Parmesan, Italian spices and chili flakes on the tables, no need to ask for them👌🏻 I'm a minimalist when it comes to pizza... great sauce, cheese, fresh basil and I'm in heaven... Joe's delivers! I wear their T-shirt proudly and so do my adult kids!

The BEST pizza in NYC! It’s not fancy, but it’s the perfect amount of cheese, sauce, crust and spices. Wait in line and it goes fast. We tried other places and nothing compares to Joes.

Pizza top no Times Square. Good price and tasty. Do not go too hungry because the queue is big, the small place is not sit down. It's standing.

this is a joke . the worst junk i’ve ever tasted . this is not a pizza,is just one piece of garbage sold for tourists. but is not stupid who is selling, but they who is buying such a junk.

Joes is part of the New York experience and the food was very very nice. Pizza was fairly cheap and very tasty. It’s iconic to go to one while in New York so definitely go here!

Super crowded place but very quick to serve you pizza that has nothing to envy to the delicious Italian .. We took a whole pizza in four daisies and we all ate abundantly topped with excellent mozzarella .. Pizza in New York with great price also recommended for the historic place where they shot Spider-Man two

Despite the long line, Joe's Pizza was a slice of heaven! My wife and I devoured the pepperoni pizza like it was our last supper, though the Caprese pizza left us feeling like it needed a bit more divine intervention. The star-studded atmosphere had us feeling like A-listers ourselves, and the 'stack your empty pizza box' tradition outside the restaurant was a hilarious touch that left us in stitches. Can't wait for our next pilgrimage to Joe's!

Great pizza! Very fine mass! There's always queues, but they're fast. Super worth the wait. There are several Joes Pizza spread across NY!

Decided to join the shortest line ive seen while visiting New York, lined up for 15 mins. Pizza was okay, I wouldn't line up again for it as had pizza elsewhere with more flavour for same price.

We waited in line for about 45 minutes around 2pm for lunch one day and were really excited to try this place! We tried just about everything on the menu, and the pepperoni slices were the only ones really worth anything. Even those were kind of dry and not all that great. Seating is basically nonexistent and we didn't at all understand the hype.

Good pizza although not entirely Italian. Medium to high prices (one slice $6). Crowded motorcycle room in lunchtime; it is advisable to anticipate the times. Great place for takeaway (the inside room is very small).

Girls night out and we heard Joes was the best. It wasn’t. It was fairly mediocre and very greasy. Much better spots in Little Italy.

Decent pizza near broadway but the taste was not out of this world. Long queue and very limited seating. Would probably not go back.

Coming from Italy it is always difficult to appreciate pizza abroad, it must be understood, this one makes itself understood quite well, good dough and uniform cooking, classic American seasoning with a sugary aftertaste

You are not allowed to visit the Big Apple and not stop to have this experience that is the slice of pizza from Joe. Recommended the great classic pizza pepperoni.

We have been to the pizzeria on 8th and 22nd and we have had 2 very good pizzas. We also highlight the kindness of the 2 people who assisted us for their kindness regarding the language issue.

Lots of noise for nothing. We waited 1 hour in line to be poorly received by the person taking our order. All for pizzas that are more than average. Surely not worth the detour and the wait. Run away!

Fantastic, tasty authentic pizzas in the heart of Broadway! Absolutely worth the queue…. It was long but it moved fast and the turnover of seats available was also quick so we managed to sit down outside. Don’t be off by the queue… pizza slices were So crispy and fresh!

Not an exaggeration. These pizzas are seriously good. Choose from a red or white base and add your toppings. There are also regulars like pepperoni and the supreme which are all time favourites. They also have plenty of vegetarian options. There’s often a queue but it’s fast moving. You can sit in or stand outside. Definitely on your to-try list in New York City.

Amazing pizza, perfect everything. Very pungent garlic powder, beware! first bite is surreal as you bite into a superb crust and into warm and decadent tomato sauce.

Frankly not the best pizza in NYC. If you want to queue (personally 20 minutes at 2:30 p.m., but I've seen worse in the evening) so you can say "I ate a pizza from Joe's pizza!!"), the pizza you see in Spiderman or in GTA, then, yes, go.. Dinon, go your way, you'll save time.

Just exceptional, some of the best slices in NYC and reasonably priced. Get there early unless you like queuing. Yum yum yum

Yes this is as good as the hype surrounding it! We queued outside for about 20 mins. But honestly it’s worth it. Once you get inside the walls are filled with images of celebs who have been. You can also see all the pizzas being hand made by lots of people. We had a slice of pepperoni pizza for $4. It was so worth it a massive slice so nice. Gutted we didn’t get to go back before we left NYC.

A bit of waiting but it's worth it, the pizza is delicious I think the best I've ever eaten, a little expensive and a little waiting, but the pizza is delicious

ABSOLUTELY beauts pizza!! Was dying to go here & was well worth it! We only waited 20 minutes in the queue & the staff were fast, polite & organised making it an easy experience as it was so busy. Very popular place & I can completely understand why. Central to if, in Times Square area, would absolutely go back & will continue to promote! Nice atmosphere & vibe!

Went to this place because so many locals recommend it and it did not disappoint! Large slice and friendly staff! Must go if in NYC.

We went to several Joe’s pizzas in New York. The main one near Times Square had a one hour wait in line maybe more. The pizza was good, but not worth the wait compared to other pizza we had. Definitely worth a visit because it is very famous, but I would try to come here when it’s not so busy .

Having visited New York many times and having tried various pizza establishments this one always stands out. Depending on the time of day you’ll find a queue of people that is more than likely to put you off which is understandable BUT you need to try it. We went earlier in the morning because let’s face it, you’re on holiday, eating pizza for brunch is acceptable and there was less of a queue. It’s fast service and great pizza!

Definitely place to see once in a lifetime.... Slice good, my favorite 4 cheeses... quaint super crowded place.

It is always full in a row but it is worth it and also flows quickly. It is among the best pizzas in New York. The price is great considering that you only need 2 slices (they are huge) to fill you. Really good! Great to take and take away or eat there if there is room.

After a long day of walking, we were ready to go home but we saw the line and after speaking with a few people eating this pizza, decided to wait in line. The line was around the corner. I think that you have to be in the right frame of mind - we were visiting and wanted the NYC experience, so the wait was okay for us. It moved at a good pace. The staff were very nice and when at the counter, was served promptly. We even found a spot to eat in. There is seating outside too. As for the food? We got one pepperoni and one Sicilian. Both were delicious. The crust was perfect- well cooked (not soggy). I really liked the sauce. If you have patience, I recommend giving this place a try.

The pizza was great, like a lot of pizza in New York City, but what made this special was the old building that the restaurant was in. We went in early afternoon on a Wednesday so it was not crowded, but I hear it gets really crazy most of the time.

We almost change our minds when we saw the long queue but we could also see that it moved quite fast then, decided to stay. After around 20min we could order and enjoy different slices of delicious pizza. The place is small and gets full very fast, we were lucky to find a place to sit but eventually you could also eat in the tent in front. The staff is very nice and all of them are so dynamic then we understood why the long queue was moving. For sure a place to come back next time in NY and maybe a better idea is to order the pizza for delivery.

I state that I am from Naples, so I have a different vision of pizza from the American one. I must say that despite this I found good pizza of this famous place, quite easy but typical, friendly staff, good prices. Try the pepperoni absolutely!!

Joe’s pizza delighted me 2 times during my trip to New York. I can’t say if it’s the best pizza in town, but when I found myself having to satisfy my pizza craving for the second time I didn’t want to risk trying new pizzerias. Absolutely positive experience. The place is cozy, the size of the slices quite large. I really enjoyed the pepperoni pizza, a great dive into the American tradition. Well seasoned and super stringy!

The pizza from here is by far the best slice of pizza I’ve ever had. This place was recommended to me by a local and he mentioned the queue would be long but it’ll go down quick. He was right and glad I stayed in the queue. I’d recommend this place to anyone and have do so with my hairdresser who is visiting in September

Joe’s Pizza is absolutely worth the hype. The flavor is incredible — totally different from any pizza I’ve had before. They’re extremely fast in preparation, even with the huge crowds and the long line outside. The place has that authentic New York vibe: busy, energetic, and full of people all craving the same slice of perfection. I’ve tried it multiple times, and every visit was just as great as the first one. A memorable experience — definitely a must-try in NYC.

Great visit to Joes Pizza NYC Queues are long but go quickly. My granddaughter wanted to go while we were on a visit to NYC for her 21st birthday Great authentic New York pizza by the slice or the whole pie.

Beautiful pizza and good value for money. We went on a Saturday evening where there was quite a long line, albeit it moved quickly and service was prompt when inside. The pizza was beautiful and fresh, would definitely recommend. It could be recommended for there to be some sort of queue management staff as there seemed to be a little chaos at times and a few people skipping. However, overall a fantastic pizza which definitely lived up to the hype.

This is one of the most over rated pizza outlets I have come across. People queuing up at 1am to grab a slice intrigued me to try some and I must say u was utterly disappointed !! I ordered the Veg slide and a DeepDish slice and both were below average - bland and dull. They also don’t have any Chicken topping pizza , which was even more odd and disappointing.

I went to Joes Pizza previously but didn’t wait as the line was to long and finally I went back as I didn’t want to miss out before I left New York and the wait was worth it I can tell you that!! I was very happy I got to experience this pizza😁😁

Great NYC staple, long lines that move fast. Awesome NYC pizza. Amazing how many people were served in such a short amount of time.

Be prepared to wait, this place is busy! Pizzas sold by the slice or as a whole pizza, space is limited inside but the two of us managed to squeeze in the corner to eat our slice. One slice is ample for a lunch, tasty and hot, and reasonable priced for a tourist trap just off Times Square. Not a huge amount of choice flavour wise, but you’ll find all the classics. You can’t visit New York without a slice of Joes!

It's just a pizza .... And not a great one at that. I've had better back home and this place doesn't live up to the hype. Much better places to get pizza in new York city.

I heard this was THE spot to grab an authentic NYC thin crust slice. Though the pizza was pretty good, I don't know what all the fuss is about. I'm sure there are many spots throughout the city equally good or better. Anyway, glad I went. Checked it off my list. Just felt this place is slightly overrated.

We finally decided to suck it up and deal with the long line for Joe's. Luckily, a nice lady was strategically positioned near the line selling fresh mango so that helped us deal with the wait (bonus NYC traveler tip: be aware that when you buy the cup with fresh mango sold on the streets in NYC, it includes the pit/seed, so you are not getting as much edible fruit as you think. I am not saying don't buy it --because it is delicious on a hot NYC day--just be aware that you are not getting quite as much as you think.). The counter staff at Joe's is remarkably friendly and cheery given the unrelenting flow of tourists they deal with on the regular. We bought two slices of cheese. It was good. It was better than Carnegie, IMHO, which is couple blocks away and not as crowded. I thought Joe's crust was better than Carnegie's. What made the biggest difference for me was Joe's sauce. Carnegie's lacked the sweetness to cut the salt, but Joe's was a perfect balance, so that it was not salty bite after salty bite. But was it worth the wait? Ehh. Would I go back? Again, Ehh. I don't know. Maybe? Is it crazy to stand in line for an hour for this pizza? I kind of think it is. Try some of the other places within a few blocks of Joe's and see what you think. But if you have time to kill or you happen by when it's only a 30-minute wait, give it a shot as I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Very nice place. Very friendly staff. And the Pizza very rich! I'd definitely come back. As a suggestion I would tell you to change the input you give. They're cut pieces of pizza that I don't know... I'd put something else on since pizza is what you're gonna order. But very good the pizza!

The line was around the block but we were told- great pizza. So we waited about 20 minutes got in and ordered. Pizza slices are huge!!! I prefered the cheese pizza over the pepperoni. All in all a good experience but we come from Buffalo and pizza is also amazing by us!

Saw this place blowing up on TikTok, so I gave in to the hype. Big mistake. Huge. I opened the box and was immediately greeted by what looked like a group project where no one communicated. Pepperoni sliding into mushrooms, red onions staging a walkout, and the crust? Charred like it lost a bet with the oven. This pizza tastes like it was made by someone who’s only seen pizza in theory. Grease levels were so high I considered checking my cholesterol before the first bite. The box was more soaked than my hopes and dreams after I realized I paid full price for this. That little plastic pizza table in the middle? MVP. Held the whole thing together emotionally while I crumbled. Final verdict: this pizza is all filter, no flavor. Looks good on camera, but so does a taxidermy fox. Save your money. Go buy a frozen one and lie to yourself. It’ll hurt less.

Cheese and pepperoni hands down the best and a classic. Try the margaritas pizza for parties. Servove was friendly. 2nd time coming here in 2 weeks my new favourite place to visit while in the NYC

Obviously it is not the Italian pizza, but as a fan of the subject I can say that it is a very good pizza (different but good), in my opinion it is definitely worth the wait, and of those we tried in NY it is by far the best. My favorite was the one with spicy salami. If you come to NY I definitely recommend you try it also you have much longer lines or there are similar waits in other restaurants.

Having waited in line for 15 mins or so for a slice of pizza I am not sure I would do it again. It was an adequate tasting pizza but not as good as I was expecting. Its was on the underdone side for my liking so soft it had to be folded and eaten quickly standing in a shelter in the street..A once in a lifetime experience.

The line is long and many say the pizza is overhyped. Totally disagree. This was the best thin crust pizza we tried so went back a couple of times. The crust was great but it was the sauce that had us coming back. The slices are large and we usually ordered two each to try different ones. Our favorite pie was the fresh mozzarella. You can order by the slice or whole pizza. The staff work hard - cooking and service is constant. They have the system down to an art. When it is busy there is no place to sit, though our hotel was nearby so this was not an issue for us.

Rude behaviour by the server in long hair and big earrings. Asking for a tip or won’t get the pizza. Misbehaved with my daughter too

I thought it was overrated, but it's really delicious! The price is not high, the slices are big, and really tasty. Pizza that has nothing to envy to Italian pizza. The place on Wall Street is very nice inside too. Super recommended!

We heard this was a famous place for pizzas in New York First few times we went past ques were all the way around the corner, we got lucky before watching Lion King there was a small que and we manages to sit inside on the stools by the window, selection is ok, we ordered 3 slices, cheese, pepperoni and spinach. They were ok average, enjoyed looking at all the celebrity pics framed on the walls. We were just glad we didn’t que ages and got seating

Fast service despite the crowd, Pizza Caprese was fresh and delicious. We had to est outside, which was OK. Definitely a recommendation.

Amazing pizza. Well worth the 30 min line (at 10 pm at night). Also, reasonably priced and personable staff. Wish we had time to visit a second time.

The last night in New York destroyed by too much walking we decided to order a pizza at the hotel through uber, honestly I found the price a bit 'high for a single pizza about 40 dollars but then once received (in no time from the order) I understood the reason for such a high price! It was gigantic !!! practically like ordering two pizzas so the cost was justified! Honestly I thought I couldn't like the American pizza but I had to change my mind it was really good the four cheeses one! It's delicious.

We was recommended by a friend to try this place. We queued for about 25 minutes which wasn’t too bad, but I’d suggest not getting there too late on (tea time) as it could be a lot longer. We ordered a pepperoni pie which was $31, it had 8 large slices and was piping hot. It survived the 15 minute walk back to our hotel and was still warm. There was seating at the pizza shop but minimal. There was outdoor area to stand and eat also. It is wheelchair and pram accessible. You can buy slices which are re heated, not sure how they taste re heated. Would recommend if visiting.

The bolivar sucks and a bad team and a karst pos but it goes well pizza and very good and I will go again😅 Very nice interior!

Wow the best pizza super long line but it was fast and customer service amazing love the flavor and the sauce people nice speak both languages Spanish and English

As a Neapolitan, I couldn't help trying the famous New York pizza. Honestly, as big as it is, in the US everything is and we know this, it did not excite me, but it did not disappoint me either. Fame - and the long wait - precede everything, but it was still an experience to be had. The pizza overall is good, it doesn't have the classic flavors - see the dough - and it's not soft. All in all, acceptable.

I saw the long queue and thought it must be good piazza ,Omg it’s was the best, but it was worth the wait The kids loves it too

I’m Italian and I imagined to find a pizza at Joe’s that would not excite and instead I have to change my mind, the pizza at Joe’s is really very good! I was impressed by both the dough, ingredients and flavor of the pizza!! Great!

Amazing pizza. Had to queue, but this moved reasonably quickly as it more of a take away establishment. Have to say it was well worth it. Huge slices - delicious pizza. Definitely on the list for next time we list NYC. Was a hit with the kids too.

Line was long every time we passed by, finally decided to wait. 50 mins later we enjoyed some good pizza, but the crust wasn't for me. Four of us agreed it was good but not 50 mins good, especially after eating pizza the day before at one of the many many pizza joints. I assume its an iconic food stop due to Spiderman movie. Service once you get in the door was great and quick. Very limited seating, but a block over between 39th & 40th is a place to seat.

I can’t argue that the pizza is solid. The line, if more than a little out the door, might not be worth it. Not an insult to the food The line moves moderately fast; but the people standing around eating don’t move fast. So you’ll be eating in the street. Pepperoni was the move. Fresh mozzarella slice was sweet and too singular in taste for me.

We went with my wife to Joe's pizza with the fear of falling into a commercial hehe, pleasantly surprised by the taste of pizzas, their taste and quality give credence to the thousands of reviews that tell you that you should try them. Not only is the place where spiderman worked hehehe it is a place with good and delicious food that leaves you satisfied and happy not to have fallen for a hoax. I recommend, we try cheese and peperoni. If you're in new york keep going and even though there's always a line, the line moves very fast.

Visiting from the UK and so pleased we found this place by chance. Fantastic pizza slice and great and fast service, with a lively atmosphere!
Eat at Joe’s
Great inexpensive pizza. Huge slices. Lots of different combinations to choose from. Pizza is ready to eat within 5 minutes of ordering. You order and they give it a quick heat up in the oven. We ate here a few times.
