Wow, what a wonderful surprise in Manhattan!! Korean Cajun/Fusion that has only been open for a year. It will only take a few more months until this place gets to be super hard to get into. Only about 20 seats, so if you are planning on going, you must have reservations. The creativity, the service, and the quickness of the serving are way above average. The five of us tried quite a selection of the menu and everything was superb! And not unusually spicy hot at all...just great food. Please give this one a try (with a phone reservation) for lunch in NYC if you want to be amazed and have a great meal. Totally recommend it...with no reservations.

Tucked away in Murray Hill, with maybe 20 seats, this Korean Cajun mash up was a highlight of our trip! We had the boudin balls, the gumbo with okra kimchi, and the seafood with noodles in fermented black bean sauce- delish! Chef knows what she’s doing and mixes her Korean heritage with New Orleans training! Delicious!!

This place is tiny and most of the space is open kitchen leaving room for less than 10 tables. The staff are super friendly, and work together as a team to move things along. It’s BYOB - they charge a $15 corking fee that is waived if you get a set meal. I had hushpuppies, fired chicken, green tomato kimchi and ochoa kimchi- all of which were delicious. My wife had catfish and a sea food entree that she didn’t like. Would definitely skip desert. Overall a cool place with an edgy vibe worth a visit.

This place is a real hidden gem! First, Jae Jung is a top chef alum, and she really does an amazing job fusing Korean and Cajun flavors together. Everything on the menu was so delicious and unique. We especially loved the Boudin balls, chicken liver pate, fried chicken and the tomato kimchi (but everything else was great, you really can’t go wrong). The flavors were so spot on, and we really loved the creativity of the menu! The place is small, and you really feel the hospitality of the staff, it feels like you’re having dinner with family. Would highly recommend this place!! Great caliber of food and a fun authentic experience, go while you can still get in!

We arrived early enough on a weekday that we were immediately seated, promising to be done with dinner by 6 p.m. The gumbo was delicious with its mix of meats and flavors. It’s a small, confining environment, but we enjoyed the amazing food!

Perfection! Tiny pop-up but sure to be getting more and more popular. Everything we ordered on the two person tasting menu was amazing. The boudin balls and kimchi okra were standouts. Fried chicken was also incredible and I can’t wait to try more items

Came here last minute for dinner and boy am I glad we did. Outstanding food at a reasonable price. Got the pork boudin balls to start - deep fried pork, chicken livers and glass noodles served with a spicy sauce. So delicious. Then had the jambalaya. Very unusual in that it mixed in kimchi. It really adds a nice umami taste to the dish. Wow. Will definitely be back. The place is tiny and does not serve beer or wine but they do allow byob with a corkage fee. Highly recommend.

An overpriced hole-in-the-wall with loud music and loud clients, and yet the rude staff tells you to go out when you had to use the speakerphone for 15 seconds, BECAUSE of the loud music and loud patrons within such a limited space to begin with. The food is excellent, but for that price I'd rather go to a nicer setting with a more courteous staff.

We had visited NOLA in December 2023, and had thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane the following year. We definitely were not disappointed! Everything we had was delicious, and the blending of Cajun and Korean flavors was truly unique and exceptional. My favorites included the boudin balls, the fried green tomatoes, and squid ink noodles with seafood. The chef even was giving out each table complimentary handmade chips. We finished off the meal with Korean yogurt drinks. I thought it was really special how the chef came to speak with each table. It was a truly memorable experience. I do want to flag that this place was BYOB at the time we went, but there was a liquor store nearby so no issue. Will definitely be back!

The food is amazing. I have lived and then visited NOLA for almost 20 years. This is as good as any restaurant there. Yes. It is small. You will bump elbows with your neighbor but when the food is this good that is absolutely fine. Go here.
Great Hole in the Wall!
Cajun meets Korea from a celebrity chef. Outstanding Jambalaya, ribs, salads, shrimp. I foodie place for spicy palates. KBYG: no liquor, but they will decant your wine for $15. Also a beer pour charge/bottle. Only about 25 seats, very chummy, no two tables are really alike. In nice weather they have a couple tables on the sidewalk.
