I came to San Diego to visit some family and had a craving for breakfast tacos. I found this restaurant tucked away in this shopping center that actually had breakfast tacos! I got the burrito and it was the best breakfast burrito I've ever eaten. Hands down better than any breakfast taco shop in Texas. And I'm from Texas. If you're looking for a brunch/lunch place in San Diego, you will not be disappointed in Konito's!

We were so excited to stumble on Konitos in the Vons shopping center. We didn't have to wait and and the food was just as good as I remember. Those potatoes...those potatoes are so good and the perfect thing for breakfast the morning after a night out. The young man helping us was so friendly and provided great service.

Great little spot for breakfast! We were staying in a hotel on mission beach and stopped into the Vons to get some groceries and just happened upon this place (right next to the Vons). So glad we did! The food was delicious and the portions were HUGE. They had a large selection. Staff was very friendly and were more than happy to split up a meal between our two kids. The place is very very casual with delicious, real food.

We found this breakfast restaurant a few weeks ago and have already been back. It doesn't have the beach vibe that Kono's has but it has more seating and is more laid back. Loved talking to the cook. the portions are large for the price and the food is very good. The scrambled eggs and potatoes have veggies and cheese in them. Not must plain eggs of potatoes. Bread was thick and delish. Would definitely recommend this for a filling breakfast.

Your delicious breakfast or lunch awaits you here. If you’ve been to Komo’s, this is their new place, the same menu and great service you’ve come to expect. It’s just less crowded but has the same basic vibe. Maybe better if you’re hungry, easier parking, and don’t need the ocean view. We had to try it to test it out and we very happy with this experience. Same happy people anxious to serve you up their Great breakfast or lunch menu. You’ll love it here too. PS: If you’re into Starbucks, it’s only steps away too. But the coffee at Konito’s is every bit as good as you’ve come to expect at Komo’s. This place is tucked back in the corner and offers inside and outside tables. Enjoy !!!

Found this little gem of a restaurant on fluke. Turned out to be our lucky day. This place is OUTSTANDING! A local suggested ordering the Big Breakfast! It was amazing!!! It was large enough for my hubby and I to share! The Konito's potatoes are delicious! The eggs were delicious. The french toast was delicious. The bacon was crispy. The hubby made an egg sandwich with the English muffin. The staff was friendly. The service was super quick. I would go back again in a heartbeat!

I've started hitting this place for lunch whenever I'm in the PB area at the middle of the day. They seem to be very popular for breakfast, but I've only been there for lunch. But sometimes lunch for me is 1030 or 1100 so the late breakfast crowd is still around. The breakfast menu has all the usual suspects, and the lunch menu has lots of variety in sandwiches. I've tried the burger (pretty good), the tunafish stack (tuna salad + extras on a hefty bun and the BLT&A (BLT with avocado). So far my favorite is the BLT&A. This is not two tiny strips of bacon with a token dab of avocado. This is the real deal, substantial, fresh lettuce and creamy avocado. The staff has always been friendly, and the sunny patio out front is great in the spring. Probably a little chilly for the winter, but the indoor area is nice and not crowded or too snug.

Amazing breakfast served all day! Two huge pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese, an English miffin, and the most wonderful potatoes with cheese, onions, bell pepper, etc! All for a great price. And the best part, no wait like there usually is at Kono’s on the board walk just a mile away.

We found this place by accident because it's tucked in a corner behind a Starbucks, near the CVS. We're glad we did! The breakfast sandwich for under $5 was plenty of food, and then we added a side order of their breakfast potatoes smothered with bacon and cheese, and had to take leftovers to go. The potatoes alone could be a meal. About 5-10 tables inside and lovely patio seating out front. Well worth finding this place!

Good, friendly people are the heart of this tiny place, tucked in a corner of a prettier-than-normal shopping center on one of the main streets of this beach town. It must be the Aloha life. Eating outside was devine, allowing for some good people watching as well as animal watching - this is near a PetCo or PetSmart. My breakfast companion was the neighboring jet black cat on a hot pink leash. My 2 eggs over easy were perfect. The bacon ideal. But the cheesy potatoes with lots (and I mean LOTS) of green pepper were not my cup of tea. Yes, a purist when it comes to morning fare, I would have preferred regular ol' hashbrowns. To each his own. The people were what made the difference. VERY friendly, kind and thoughtful. Glad I shared the experience, but I won't be going back.

The Breakfast Burrito might be the best I have ever had! The portions are enormous and the prices are very reasonable. The location is not so far from the beach and there is plenty of parking. Everyone is friendly and the food came out hot and fresh. This is a must stop when you are in the San Diego area,

Stopped in for breakfast after landing in San Diego. Love the ample parking! The food is amazing; I got the Big Breakfast 2 and I think that is the best french toast I have ever had. Staff was super friendly and the vibe was chill. I loved everything about it!

Stopped by this gem while passing through San Diego and it's definitely a must-go. I hear its sister restaurant, Kono's, has an awesome and packed audience, so a great addition to the Kono's family in an accessible location (with breakfast & lunch served). Highly recommend you get the potatoes with whatever you get! Also, the price can't be beat for this quality food and great service! PS: Large portions of food... you won't leave hungry!

Located right on the Pacific Beach boardwalk, it’s a wonderful place to take in the atmosphere of beach life. The food was tasty and very filling. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast. You order at the counter, grab a table and a server brings your food out freshly prepared. It’s self service on your drinks. There was a bit of a line, but it moves quickly and the food is worth standing in line for. Even while standing in line, the atmosphere was electric and fun as you watch all the people that cruise the boardwalk. I would recommend this restaurant for sure.

It's one of those types of places you don't see from the street, even though it's got plenty of parking and it's part of a bunch of businesses, you have to know about it from the locals to get there. You can't go wrong with ordering, all the food is incredible. The big breakfast is my favorite and you can add blueberries to the pancakes, which is the amount of food for 2-3 meals. Breakfast for days!

Quick and easy place to get breakfast. The servings are huge! The breakfast burritos are super filling and enough for two meals. Staff is really nice, you can dine in or take to go

Went here for breakfast before day at Sea World. Previous reviews made it easier for us to find. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food prices were great (specially since we were in Maui a week ago!), had a good variety of food, and were served our food super fast. Family got: -Chorizo breakfast sandwich- loved the not so small size, slightly de of tomato in it, and hearty amount of egg -Pancakes with (scrambled) eggs and bacon- daughter loved the cheese that was added to the eggs and bacon was nicely cooked -French toast with bacon - eaten all up and delicious -Burrito #4 - good size filled with eggs, green peppers, ham and onions. Hubby ate it all up. -Coffee was awesome! I was glad I got that instead of the Starbucks We got there a little after 8am on a Saturday morning and it was before it got busier. Dining area was small but there was also general patio seating outside. Seemed like it was a local place too... those are the best!

This was the best breakfast/lunch we have had in a long time, can't say enough good things about it and will definitely come back next time we're in San Diego! I love that the restaurant is clean, cute and has plenty of outdoor seating. We waited in line to order, but it went fast and our food was brought to us quicky as well. It's a fairly simple (but perfect) menu and food comes on paper plates which is fine by me. Our group had an egg burrito #1 (which fed 2 people and my husband says is the best he's ever had), a BLT with avocado, and order of their potatoes (which were so insanely good that I did not share) and a quesadilla. The potatoes are home fries with bell peppers and cheese all cooked together until the cheese is sort of crunchy... I can't even tell you how appreciated these potatoes were after a night of drinking! The only thing that would have made them better is homemade pico de gallo... the salsa the comes with everything was the only thing that wasn't great (tasted like it was from a bottle). We will be back for sure, it was great!

You will not leave Konito’s hungry. We shared the “Big Breakfast” and our friends split the “Little...”. All of us left satisfied and full. Whatever your order, however, the amount is generous. Our “big...” had 2 pancakes (or 1 pancake and 1 French toast), 2 strips of bacon, scrambled or fried eggs, 2 English muffin rounds, and a huge amount of their grilled potatoes with cheese and green peppers. For $9.95 we had enough to last us until dinner time. They are accommodating and friendly. Not as busy as the one on the beach, this site is still very popular. I recommend it highly.

We've been to Kono's and unfortunately we were not impressed and when we saw Konito's and heard that it was Kono's sister place we were a little hesitant to try it. Yeah, I know everyone loves Kono's. Konito's was a different and I love the outside seating especially since it was like 75 out they day we were there. I got the Big Breakfast #1 and it was HUGE. I can eat a lot and I could not finish it. There was pancakes, Konito potatoes - I'll ask for no cheese next time, eggs, bacon and an English muffin. Who can eat all that?! I would have taken it with me but we were not heading back to the hotel. My husband Veggie scramble it was also a huge portion. He was not a big fan of all of the green peppers. There was just a little too much veggies. Overall we thought it was great and will be back to this one. Not sure if they have "better" cooks at Konito's vs. Kono's. Very good food though. How can you mess up breakfast right?

We walked from a friends home to Konito’s for breakfast because of their recommendation. It was a Sunday, mid-morning, and the line was long, however it moved quickly. We ordered the pancake, bacon and scrambled egg breakfast - excellent! We will return!
OK But Not Fancy Sandwiches
My wife and I each had basically a hamburger at Konito's. It was OK but far from memorable. Not much else to be said.
