Lovely vibe but bland

By Sam K |

A lovely aesthetic but the food didn’t follow through, it was over priced and bland. The service was slow, the manager came across like he didn’t care about the customer and the food was bland and broccolini stale.

Well worth a visit-the food is excellent

There is one thing that the chef at this restaurant understands: it is how to season food! It was easily the most impressive part of the meal because every morsel had the right seasoning to it. I enjoyed the octopus appetizer and it was a delight. We also had the appetizer spread platter called pikila, Halloumi fries, fish soup, steak and eggs, and a salmon Benedict. All of it was excellent. A downside is that they have a live DJ spinning and it does not really help the ambience. All DJs think they are the most important thing in the room so it was a little too loud. We went on the Saturday of Black Friday weekend and there was plenty of space to have the meal. A waiter was knowledgeable and very service oriented. The staff generally didn’t excellent job. Overall we were highly recommend this restaurant

Fine Dining - Exquisite food!

Had a fantastic dinner with friends at Kyma at Hudson Yards. From the ambiance to the perfectly cooked food to the impeccable service, no complaints here. They brought out pita with a light coating of oregano and olive oil. We have had grilled octopus all over, including Italy and Santorini and Kyma's octopus is right up there as one of the best. The spanakopita was also delicious and had a hint of mint. My husband had the whole branzino with capers, olive oil and parsley. It was cooked to perfection. Two of us had the seafood youvetsi (mussels, shrimp, clams, crab meat) over a bed of orzo. The other had free range chicken. We ordered lemon potatoes to share. Our server told us the chef was a finalist in "Top Chef". Excellent experience, highly recommend! The original Kyma is in Roslyn, Long Island. I have photos but for some reason, it won't let me upload them.

Beautiful Mediterranean Brunch at Kyma

By Pandora_is_Eve |

It's our annual B-day /holiday friends brunch and we choose Kyma as a nice spot to dine in an area that we haven't frequented. Judging by the number of sparkler laden desserts that afternoon its clearly a go to spot for celebrations. We were greeted by Angela who was great giving us a nice table and hints about the best things on the menu... almost everything I would say. I will say something that is not on the menu at this location but is at the flatiron location is the saganaki cheese appetizer. We ordered it specially. I've had great cheese appetizers in Greece and Spain but this was very different and fabulous. We stayed close to the bruchy menu and had chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and zucchini chips and and and. We had an awesome brunch! And yes, two deserts with the celebratory sparklers. All the staff we interacted with were great. The chef is a keeper just based on the menu we had for brunch, which we know must be only a hint of what Kyma can do. Thanks Angela for the menu advise and we will definitely be back to see Kyma and what you have on offer in '24,

Highly recommend this spot for a great night out!

Fantastic Night Out Kyma!

By Zack N |

We visited this Kyma Hudson Yards for dinner after a friend’s recommendation, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was vibrant and chill, and the service was warm and attentive throughout the night. We started with the signature Pineapple Spicy Margarita and it's a great starter drink - we had kyma Chips with it and we loved it. For dinner at the table we had various dishes that came highly recommended including: Octopus - was grilled to perfection Shrimp - really yummy. Short Rib - was a bit fatty but tender and so good near the bone! Filet Mignon Kebab - my personal favourite Baklava for dessert was an absolute smash hit. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable night out with great food, drinks, and ambiance!

Good greek option with nice variety of options. The chicken and the swordfish kebab were very good. Good quick service.
