Service was attentive and efficient. Our meals were delicious. The dining room was Incredibly loud. The daily specials were explained by the waitstaff and were so numerous it was difficult to keep them all straight - a single printed page for the table describing the specials would have made ordering easier.

Can't understand why this restaurant hasn't been reviewed by more people! Look at reviews on Open Table! Husband had rigatoni with meat sauce and I got Caccio peppe. Outstanding! Had an out of this world zeppeli for desert. Great wine selection. Staying in NYC for a week and will b going again!

Today’s reviewers are generally not discerning. Every dish is “tasty.” The food is “solid.” The pasta “delish.” Let’s face it. It ain’t hard to please the masses. Just serve big portions and serve it fast. L’Incontro fits the bill. Noisy, produced and competent spot though certainly not special. No pride of owner here. The patrons will praise the salad with lobster never considering for a moment that the lobster was frozen not fresh. And the chef will just smile at the fact that it doesn’t really matter. They’ll still photograph it, throw it on instagram and tell their friends. Most are a few drinks in anyway so their taste buds couldn’t come close to telling the difference. The truth is L’Incontro is an ok but no better. Another UES spot you leave and never think to return to.

Just wonderful. Italy "made" America in the luxury version, hospitality, attention to the guest. Excellent quality, cellar for all tastes. The sublimation of Italian culinary wisdom in Manhattan. Costs at the level of quality and location

Absolutely delicious food. Excellent service. Noisy, as are most high energy places, so don’t plan on soft conversations. Love the iPad wine list, with a good selection of wines by the glass. The tuna appetizer is wonderful as is the fig salad. If you want over the top lasagna, it’s available. The tiramisu was a perfect end to a great dinner.

Rocco doesn't cheat. Welcoming, quality, professionalism and family atmosphere as well on a busy evening, as usual. Fish and meat indifferently, always accompanied by excellent wines. Recommended..... Abruzzo that commands in the world.
