Dorji and Flavio were attentive, ensuring everything was perfect without being overbearing. Their attention to detail made me feel like a VIP.

Normal food, no commitment, bad side dishes, extra paid sauce given with the dropper, overbill, we ate outside and only the tables towards the restaurant were warmed by undersized infrared, poor maintenance and no privacy or Christmas atmosphere at 25.12, from the photos it looks like an elegant and cared for atmosphere, but in reality none of that, for what we spent it was definitely not worth it. Disappointing Christmas dinner. A great mess.

We celebrated our anniversary with a great dinner here. We were served by a young Frenchman whose name I forgot but who also plays guitar in a band. He was incredibly nice and professional and nice and he was kind enough to allow us to practice our French with him. What a great venue for a French lesson! The food (green salad, mushroom ravioli, coquilles saint jacque and Paris Brest for dessert) was delicious and the atmosphere is like Brasserie Lipp (Saint Germain) on steroids. We also had champagne to celebrate and Sancerre wine, also superb. Highly recommend this place, which I am sure is an absolute blast during the Christmas holidays. And as we were walking out, the manager gave us a hard cover book about the restaurant to take home!

Had a wonderful dinner here. First, it is beautifully decorated for Christmas. I booked an indoor table because it’s cold out, but that was a mistake. It was so hot and crowded inside. Would’ve been better to eat on the patio, which was a nice temperature. The service was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. It is pricey but I thought it was a fair price.

Does not worth the money. Much better places in NY. Service is not good. Food is just a bit greasy. I would not return. Left me with a bad taste.

Straight to the main event with amazing steaks; best we have ever had! Tomahawk for two then the prime NY strip with fries. Lobster pasta too. Loads of different sides! As good as the mains were the stars were the deserts! Our server Carlos was always on hand and made it a great experience. The quiet before the stoke for lunch on NYE!

We had the best experience at La Grande Boucherie! The manager Sixto was so welcoming and attentive which was so refreshing since we were visiting NYC from out of town. Our server Celida gave us great menu recommendations and the food was amazing. You have to try the oysters and french onion soup. 10/10 food, service and experience… we will be back!

I came here with my partner to celebrate his birthday and we had a lovely time. My partner had a 14 oz dry aged rib eye and was blown away by the quality and taste. He finished it off with a creme brulé, one of his favourites. He said the food was some of the best he's ever had. I am a vegetarian and it's amazing to see that we are catered for too and I had a superb mushroom ravioli. Thank you for a lovely evening

The service and atmosphere was nice for a business lunch. My chicken was tough and dry. I would have sent it back if I had not been there for a meeting. This was my first visit to La Grande Boucherie, so I will probably try it again before rendering a final judgement.

The atmosphere is stunning, the food is impeccable, the drinks are delicious, and the staff are attentive and professional throughout the entire experience. That said, it’s incredibly popular—so even with a reservation, be prepared for a bit of a wait before being seated. Totally worth it, but something to keep in mind when planning. An exceptional dining experience and easily deserving of five stars.

We are here for our yearly trip to the city for our Christmas celebration celebrations. We could not have picked a better spot! Shannon and company made us feel so welcome in the experience was perfect!

Ryan was really great and very accommodating. We had only dessert with our granddaughters, and he made it feel extra special. He is wonderful with your guests and has a great sense of humor.

Disappointed for our honeymoon dinner I booked outside based on reviews- I didn’t realize that outside meant totally outside - with no doors at entrance of the patio. People wearing winter coats and wind coming in strong- play its part of a public walkway. Got the theatre special Salmon and Steak, was ok but food got cold fast. Took forever for dessert to come out and could tell management wanted us to be done-leave as they kept coming up to us and we had to tell them we were waiting on dessert. Not worth the $300 to eat in the cold. Inside was beautiful- don’t believe the reviews about the outside section.

This was a true gem in the city! Stunning from the moment I approached the door! The reception girl was so friendly and professional and the place just got more stunning as we walked to our table! After many years, I finally got the chance to dine at La Grande Boucherie on Thanksgiving. Everything was on point from the reservation time to the personable and extremely attentive service. I had a craving for duck and was not disappointed. An incredible atmosphere with food to match. Compliments to Daniela, who was my server for the evening.

This is a beautiful restaurant that is conveniently located near Time Square, Rockefeller Center, and Central Park. This is not a tourist trap restaurant. It is fine dining. Ryan was our server and we appreciated his attention and suggestions.

Best dining experience we had in the city. The atmosphere was lovely, the menu was unreal, but the service was what really made the experience so wonderful. The menu could have been overwhelming, but Jenny, our server made great recommendations and answered all of our questions. We'll be returning, without a doubt! Looking forward to it.

We were there to celebrate our anniversary. Atmosphere was very interesting. We were essentially eating outside in a large beautiful courtyard with tile glass floors, and soaring ceiling The food was excellent but the star of the evening was our server Tatiana. She was friendly and efficient. We spent some time talking with her about how the dining experience is viewed here versus how it is typically viewed in Europe. She had some interesting insights which made our evening even better. At the end of the meal, she decorated our dessert with a cute little happy anniversary sign. Then she came back with a book about the restaurant and its beginnings. with just a few recipes. She wrote a beautiful inscription to us for our anniversary. We will certainly return for another wonderful evening

What a wonderful experience. There are many areas in the restaurant to select for your dining experience. We picked the jovial dining area. We were seated nearby other diners and were able to have a fun interaction with them! Jae was a great server and we had really fabulous food. It was just a wonderful experience overall. So good in fact that we went back two days later and brought others! Can't wait to go to the boucherie in Chicago!

Celebrated a Birthday Late Lunch after the Rockettes. Was perfect spot so close to venue. Atmosphere was perfect beautifully decorated. Rarely do I leave reviews but rarely do I have an experience that was so exceptional! I was visiting NYC with my sister to celebrate my birthday. We honestly just stumbled upon La Grande Boucherie while waiting to check in at nearby hotel. I am so very glad we decided as our experience at the restaurant was truly a GRAND experience! Sixto (manager) truly embodied the meaning of warm hospitality. Our server Kate was also kind and attentive. We left with full belly, amazing ambiance and warm hearts. Thank you for making me feel special. I will definitely go here every time I visit NYC.

Our family of 9 enjoyed a lovely holiday meal tonight. We sat near the concourse which provided a balanced atmosphere of upscale and casual, which allowed the grownups to enjoy great quality food while allowing the kids some freedom in movement and volume. Our server Nino was attentive, swift, and professional, providing recommendations when needed and a consistent presence that was entirely supportive and not pushy. The entire staff swooped in quickly when a plate was accidentally dropped and broke a water glass on the table, an incident that could have easily stained our entire evening but was remedied so quickly and without judgment we were able to focus on the amazing food. We had a full spread including steak tartar, pate, mussels, french onion soup, duck confit, beef bourginion, sea bass, salmon, creme brulee and pecan cheesecake. No complaints. Thank you for a memorable Thanksgiving meal and we wish your staff a happy holiday!

We made a reservation 1 month in advance, we arrived before time and still we were placed on the counter next to the oysters, sitting on an uncomfortable bench. We asked for a table, they didn't fix it and if we wanted to leave we had to pay $100.

After reading so many great reviews I was really disappointed. This was to be the highlight meal of our trip, but the food was average, other than the lobster bisque which was lovely. We were sat very precariously at the top of some stairs which actually was quite dangerous and the toilets were disgusting. Service was very good though and the restaurant itself is impressive and beautiful, maybe we just didn’t pick the best food options.

The experience was so pleasant and the staff is very welcoming. We had the opportunity to meet a server by the name of Snjezana she made great suggestions on menu options, which we found incredibly accommodating. Shannon our server was super sweet, the food was also soooooooooooo good. I got the salmon, hot chocolate, and the chocolate mouse and they were all great.

We were so excited to go to this restaurant as we had been to the sister restaurant in Washington DC and it was amazing. I would have to say the food here in New York was extremely disappointing. First of all, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive. My daughter had lobster linguine. It lacked taste and had more linguine and sauce with very little lobster. My husband had the burger. He requested it be cooked at medium. It was rare. We kindly sent it back. The next burger came back even more rare. It was so red we thought it was newly slaughtered! The third burger was not a charm as it was medium but extremely dried out. I ordered the filet mignon. Our waiter ( not his fault) said the chef ran out so recommended the Bavette Diane. He said it was on the house as they served over a thousand people today. Funny, I received the filet mignon as originally ordered but it was ice cold and very bloody. That was sent back and I received the Bavette Diane. I ordered it medium well. It came out extremely rare. After now waiting over 2 hours for our food at this point, I just said forget it and ate the least red part of the meat. Our waiter was extremely polite and kind. None of this was his fault. The restaurant quality in DC was so much better as it was smaller venue. I would not eat here again. Very expensive and the food quality was consistent with the price.

Grabbed an early (4 pm) dinner on a whim and was mesmerized by this Cafe. Not only was it decorated beautifully for Christmas, but it was almost more authentic than the bistros I have visited in paris. Additionally, the food and the service were excellent. Without question, this was the most pleasant surprise of our entire impromptu New York weekend. Note to those who are averse to standing in lines - Go Early! JUST GO!

Laura was a great server! We had brunch for seven people and got multiple courses, and she handled everything with aplomb! The food was beautifully presented & tasty. Pastry basket, omelets, and desserts were highlights. Everyone raved about the desserts. (One off-note was the eggs en cocotte; they were overcooked, unfortunately-- baked until completely solid, rather than soft inside. Would not recommend those. The kitchen may have been having an off day, but at that price point such an error in a classic dish was disappointing.) The atmosphere can't be beat--it's great place to take out of town guests.

We happened to end up at lunchtime in this restaurant, which we had already reserved for the evening. Nicely set, nice to sit in the glass-covered passage, in the evening in the interior but very cramped, mini tables for two people, the plates were each 5 cm beyond the edge, so little space was! By the maximum seating enormous noise levels, which ultimately led to the point deduction for me. Food not objectionable, fillet well fried .

My family and I enjoyed everything about our dinner here. First of all, the atmosphere and decor was charming and fun. Our waiter, Ed, was helpful, caring and attentive. Every dish and drink we had were of the highest quality. We will definitely return every time we are in the city!

What a lovely place to dine. Very well crafted meals, great wine choices, and attentive service. The open air up to such a high ceiling isn’t common in the US (or elsewhere) but one of my favorites. So why a 4 and not 5? Well the lobster in the Lobster pasta was very chewy (Old? Over cooked more likely?) and I ordered a red wine glass with my steak that didn’t arrive when ordered (to let it open), and didn’t arrive with the steak, so it arrived when half done…what, eat the steak cold, naaaa. BTW they make a wonderful Steak Au Poivre. I restrained myself and did *not* lick the plate. Next NYC trip we will be back as this is deserving of a top NYC restaurant ranking, and no, it isn’t another dinner only, tasting menu place. I can only do those a couple times a year. It has a wonderful classic menu with options to fit the budget traveler, too, like a two course Prix Fix at $45, not cheap but do-able in the NYC high dining circle.

Extremely overpriced for what you get, and the service was disappointing. Overall, not worth it. Daniel or Café Boulud deliver higher quality food and much better service.

Another great evening at La Grande Boucherie. We were there to celebrate my wife's BDay. We requested a second floor end table overlooking the first floor, and they graciously accommodated us. Daniela was attentive and friendly/engaging and all the staff was on top of their game. Escargot, onion soup, coq au vin, filet mignon....all perfectly prepared. A special crème brûlée birthday gift for dessert topped off a wonderful evening. Can't wait for our next visit.

The restaurant is delightful at Christmas time beautifully decorated. Food is always exexcellent. Our waiter Dorji was also excellent, charming, attentive, and knowledgeable. He made the experience even more enjoyable.

We had brunch and dinner here. Too different experiences, a little disappointed with brunch.. my own fault had checked breakfast menu but as was a weekend the menu was brunch. We had 2 omelette and the baked eggs ( baked eggs disappointed as it was 30 dollars for egg and soliders really. The interior here is worth the money alone, particularly at Christmas. Its absolutely stunning!! Our server was lovely a blonde Serbian lady, very helpful. We decided to come back for dinner our last day but hadn't booked in time. They still facilitated us at the bar and we had 3 different varieties or steaks . All excellent, the place was buzzing!! Unfortunately for us there was a group close by with 2 dogs who they were feeding from the table. I love animals but would have issues with hygene in a fine dining setting. As they left the large dog jumped on me and tried to take the steak from my plate....now staff were amazing and explained the lady had said it was a service dog ( I would be very surprised any service dog was behaving like this) the restaurant could not refuse the 2 animals entry. Anyway I got a free steak and a dessert and the loveliest staff who were so apologetic. I wouldn't let this put you off ....the food, the interior, the whole feel of the place ....wait until you see the steaks ( pics attached).. you will understand why the dogge wanted it so bad 😃

Had a fantastic dinner with my wife here at La Grande Boucherie before seeing a Broadway play. We're from out of town and we're blown away by the atmosphere here. Beautiful restaurant

Beautiful space and very busy restaurant. Standard bistro menu, well executed, not so great wine menu. Pretty basic. Service was slow and not attentive. Good spot for pre theater dinner but otherwise pretty basic.

We had a great experience thanks to Nilton, our waiter. We told him we were short on time because we had a show to get to, and he made sure everything came out super quickly but still made it feel relaxed and enjoyable. It was also one of our group’s birthdays, and Nilton brought out a dessert with a candle and even gave the birthday person a book about the restaurant as a gift. Such a kind and thoughtful touch. Really appreciated his attention and great attitude. Thanks, Nilton, for making our night so special!

Conveniently located. A surprise in the middle of midtown. Good ambience. Went twice in 4days. Dorji was very attentive. Tartare had great meat. Mousse foie gras was great. Even the earl grey tea was so fragrant.

Rodrigo is the man. We were curious to know what type of celebrities and personnel have come through here and he was happy to share with us, we had fun. Food was incredible.

Celida is an amazing server. Made our experience at Boucherie so great! Super attentive and lovely. Our water glasses never went empty.

I had an outstanding experience at Boucherie! The food, atmosphere, and overall vibe were phenomenal, but the highlight of my visit was our server, Sophia. She delivered true 5-star service, friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her recommendations were perfect, and she made the entire evening feel special. Highly recommend Boucherie, and especially Sophia. I’ll definitely be returning!

The ambiance of the place is great. The service was average or slightly above for the price range of the food. The food was just about the same, meaning it was slightly above average or average for the price range. Disappointing part was the bar overcharged even when we were explicit with drink orders. We ordered an Espresso Martini from the Mini Cocktails section of the drinks menu at $10. When the bar tab was presented, they charged it at $22, more than double the menu price. When the bartender was asked about it, he said they served a full size and the price was correct. It was a night or two before Christmas, so we decided not to argue before dinner and just paid it. But if you go to the bar first before or instead of a dinner table, keep an eye on your bill. Would I eat here again? Yes. However, I find it hard to believe it is rated as highly as it is (at this time, it's rated #12 of NYC restaurants).

We had the hamburger - it was delicious! The French fries were excellent. The table next to us had crème brûlée… so we had to have it, too. It was excellent: honestly, one of the best ones we had in a long time. Our first visit here was great - a lot of friendly and prompt servers helped with our meal. We’ll be back!

A catastrophic experience we had booked a month in advance. A table at 10:30. We arrived at 22:15. We queued up despite our reservation. We had the table that at 11.30pm it was -11 degrees we had the table in the lobby. My 11 year old son could not enjoy his food because he was too cold , the team was extremely unpleasant no understanding, no kindness, no limitless empathy heartless! except and I want to clarify, except the French team that they were extremely embarrassed by the attitude of the staff , they tried everything to put us Alezes and thank you to them!!! I strongly advise against running from this restaurant. Too bad the food isn't bad. I paid 250 € for an adult menu, a children’s menu, the starter was hot goat salad without comment. Thank you very much for a wonderful day.

FANTASTIC first experience with Grande Boucherie this Christmas season. The restaurant itself is beautiful. A very grand space with a gorgeous bar, gorgeous ceilings, and elegant dining tables. It has to be one of the largest fine dining restaurants we've ever experienced. When we first walked in and were seated, I got a little worried that a restaurant this large and this busy would be disappointing in service and food quality - - but WOW did they ever prove me wrong! We had a fantastic server, Jouan, who gave us his full attention despite being very busy, and never left us waiting for anything. Such a fun personality, super nice, and very professional! The timing of drinks and dinner was perfectly paced. We were interested in getting a bottle of wine and of course they have a large selection. We were approached by the sommelier (I believe her name is Pauline) who asked all the right questions (without any pretense). I relayed my preference....super dry red, not jammy and despite that unsophisticated description, she found the perfect bottle in our price range. We had a nice comfortable chat with her about wines, preferences, etc. Now as for the food - - WOW once again they proved me wrong by delivering two beautiful dinners! My husband had the lamb rack and I had the beef bourguignon (recommended by Jouan). They were both very good! It still amazes me how a restaurant of that size, could put out such good food, served at the right temperature, in a timely manner. At the end of the dinner we had a chance to talk to Marta, the general manager, and I relayed all the good stuff discussed here! I could tell talking with her, that she is one of the reasons that makes the Grande Boucherie such a wonderful restaurant. Great serving staff (good hiring & training), great kitchen staff that work together to put out beautiful food, and management that keeps everything running smoothly no matter what the night throws their way. We'll be back!

Shannon gave us great service. Food was quick and delicious. Would love to visit again with Shannon as our server. The atmosphere of the place was amazing during Thanksgiving as well!

It was an amazing experience having brunch with my family and friends. We had stuffed croissants and the wagyu carpaccio which was phenomenal. The drinks were flowing and the vibes were high. Would recommend to another group! Kate was great.

I made a reservation on December 19th. The restaurant called me on January 14th and notified me that they now had a full "buy-out" and could no longer honor my reservation. Evidently, a "buy-out" is when someone reserves the entire restaurant for a private event. So, they no longer care about the customers who have existing reservations. I will no longer be patronzing La Grand Boucherie.

For my experience today with my toddler, I give it 3 stars because the food was good. They make a statement that they do not want children here. Never brought our high chair, no changing tables in the bathroom, no child cups for water. They don't straight up say it but they don't want little children.

My partner & ordered a croque monsieur and salad today. Due the ambiance of Boucherie, we chose your restaurant. The festive and chic style is very compelling. Lunch was delicious and our experience was enhanced by the welcoming and efficient service by Celida. We often stay at the Warwick when in town, and we will definitely return. Jim & Rodger

The food is really good and the service person is really nice. You can walking in or do a reservation, either way works! It’s such a beautiful place to have a dinner with friends, family or couples! The desert is the best! Everyone should go here and try it~

The restaurant is very attractive and the staff was friendly and efficient. It is npt too noisy, despite being sat very close to other diners. The food is just okay, however. Everything was good, but nothing was truly excellent or memorable. My partner has the scallops and I had chicken, both fine, nothing more. The desserts were okay, although the profiteroles would have been better with the cream instead of ice cream, but that is a matter of taste. The chocolate mousse was more successful. All in all, although we had a good dinner, we would not bother to return. There are a lot of better French restaurants in the city.

My friend and I had Thanksgiving Day Lunch at La Grande Boucherie. We had reservations. Everything was perfect. Our waitress Jeny P. was exceptional, very attentive & pleasant. The rest of the support staff were also great. The food was delicious (Butternut Squash Soup, Turkey Dinner, Scallops). For dessert we had profiteroles and Chocolate Mousse, just perfect.

We came to La Grande Boucherie to celebrate our daughter and her fiancé’s engagement, and we left with memories we will always cherish thanks to the dedicated staff, stunningly beautiful space, and exceptional food we were served that magical evening. Our server Daniela provided us with every courtesy that turned “a dinner” into “a wonderful experience” to always remember.

The food and service was amazing, the atmosphere was so comfortable and inviting, the location is also great and worth the trip if you’re not in the area, or if you’re staying in Times Square. It’s not too crowded if that’s something you worry about. The food and drinks were amazing, I got a steak frites and it was perfectly cooked and the flavors were great. I’m definitely coming here again worth every penny 10/10.

We know it is a sin to go to the same place twice in NYC but we just had to. We were here last year and couldn’t resist the siren call of the French onion soup. Anything you get here is good. Hopefully you get Etna as your server. She is a delight.

Try this little hidden gem in the middle of midtown. The place it hopping in the evening and the beef bourguignon is delicious.

Our server Jae was so amazingly helpful and nice, she was making sure we liked whatever we were eating. The food was also delicious, but on a side note they made my 12th birthday dinner special.

I had two dear friends visiting from out of town. We were in the area for the MOMA, and I wanted to show them this gem. Sunday afternoon, so it was really packed, and there were no seats at the bar. The staff was accommodating and let us sit at the oyster bar, which was being reserved for dinner service. Our server, Dorji, was a particular highlight. He was attentive, warm and seemed pretty excited to chat with me about oysters (I had many questions). I think most people visit the restaurant for the grandeur and environment, but hopefully you’ll also have a wonderful server, like we did.

This is a very beautiful restaurant located in a great area with a beautiful entrance and a very busy atmosphere. There was a very tall Christmas tree in the plaza before you walk into the restaurant where there is a very high atrium ceiling. Beautiful. However, you are paying for all of this. The food is very good. Overall. The quality of the ribeye steak I ordered for $64 for one person was definitely not up too par. very tasty, cooked right, but a tough piece of meat even after I let it sit for a couple of minutes and a knife that wasn’t sharp enough, so I was forced to saw through it. The rack of Lamb was very good, and the celeriac gratin that accompanied the lamb was Outstanding. See pics of rib eye and the lamb. dessert was excellent. I would go again at Christmas time, but I just won’t expect as much as I did.

We were so excited to eat at La Grande Boucherie, and we were not disappointed! While it’s a little tricky to find, the service was wonderful (thank you so much, Jonah), and the food was spectacular! One of my new favorite places to eat in NYC!

Visited during restaurant week before heading to a show. Service was great, staff very polite and accommodating as we were late to arrive and had a limited timeframe before the show. Our server Dorji communicated with us and time everything perfectly, letting us know what would work for us to have everything g we requested in and be done in time. Thanks Dorji.

Me and my best friends came here for our thanksgiving brunch and not only the food and atmosphere were great but the server Daniela was excellent. She really knows the menu well and great attitude and character and really enjoy the meal and will definitely come back again

We had a lovely dinner. We started off with some champagne at the bar while we waited for our table and then were seated right on time. We chose our meal selections quickly and then consulted with the Sommelier regarding our wine choices and he gave us a very interesting recommendation which turned out to be fabulous! The food was wonderful and the pacing of delivery perfect. Thank you Ryan and Hippolyte!!!

We were at first daunted by the very long line to check in with reservations, but it moved fairly quickly and once inside the atmosphere was comfortable and festive. Onion soup, duck, and the house bordeaux were all excellent, and our server was personable and attentive. A great place for a special occassion.
