So we decided to try a local restaurant to where we were going and made a reservation for a well discussed Italian! From the host to the check of the reservation to the reminder of our timing it was a disappointment. I worked my way through college by waiting on tables and if the gent who was our waiter did the same he would remain in high school. Tough to deal with attitude.. The portions are large perhaps too large and VERY tasty - but too much of a fight in an area full of nice places

My grilled Chicken Lasagne for a dinner meal on a Sunday night was pleasing and my wife also enjoyed her Seafood version. Typical higher NYC pricing even in such a bistro; but quality food. Pleasant and efficient service too.

Love, Love, Love this place! I’ve been coming here for 12 years! There lasagna is beyond amazing! They have 17 yes I said 17 different varieties! I love the balsamic chicken (which is on special, but if you ask nicely they will make it for you)..... and my most recent dish the Portobello Mushroom Ravioli with truffle sauce had me drooling! The staff is beyond accommodating and on Mondays they do $7 margaritas I knowwwwwww! So if you’re in NYC run don’t walk to this cult establishment!

OMG! Yum. Pasta to die for! I had the penne alla vodka with chicken and a Caesar salad. Asked the waiter for a reco on a nice dry meaty red wine and he was spot on. Heavy white linens and silver wear without feeling stuffy. A really nice place to grab a casual drink ( nice quiet small bar) and definitely a great peace to have dinner with friends. I'll be back

Quiet lunch, moderate prices, good food and service. Well run on limited staff. Tried a vegetarian dish and to my surprise, it was delicious. Soup was so, so. Tables spaced comfortably far apart. Over all, a pleasant lunch experience.

We love the food, the staff, the location. But the music is way too loud so we stopped going. It is a pity because it was our go to place for so long

The service was less than wonderful. It was, as the rating suggests, just average. In fact, the waitress had a serious attitude, but that's okay...after all, it IS New York City. I do remember the food tasting better than it did this time around. Unfortunately, there are too many great restaurants in NYC to mess around with a place that couldn't repeat our first time experience on the second chance we gave them a couple years later.

I read about the Lasagna restaurant on YELP. After viewing the menu online, I was well on my way to meet a friend. We both enjoyed the food and the service. The price is very reasonable and ranges from $14.95 to seafood and scallop lasagna, around $22.95. I love the variety including the create your own. Next time I will the sirloin. I would recommend for visitors to NYC and locals alike

I had lunch here last week, which I ordered Angel hair primavera, it comes with chicken & vegetables. The pasta is like a chinese noodle, not a real angel hair pasta. The sauce taste awful..

I admit that this is not of the cheapest restaurants in New York, but the quality of the food is absolutely worth what you're paying. The service is wonderful, your food arrives on time, the waiters were all smiles and constantly checking up on you. And the food? DELICIOUS.

but a little concerned that they got a C grading. Get the food temps right guys and get your A rating back and I will return, but not until you get the A.

The food was good, the portions were good, the atmosphere was good. What more could you want. The waiter could have been more attentive but since he was busy I will just say that he was OK but could have been better. It is noisy but if you are having a good time and enjoying the food and the company that all is well. One thing is that they do need to cut down on the salt in the food

Rushing to catch the Uptown A Train I was walking past this unbelievable smell and had to stop. It was coming from this adorable little Italian Restaurant I was passing en route to my subway stop, but the smell of roasted garlic and fresh bread stopped me in my tracts long enough for the Hostess to come outside and ask me if I was hungry. I was so impressed with the hostess venturing out into the cold of the night that I said yes and proceeded into this gem of an Italian Restaurant. Even before getting the menu I asked if they had Lasagna? Fortunately as they handed me the menu with the name Lasagna Ristorante on it I knew I was there for the long haul. Great hostess, right? How many reviews mention the hostess? Great Bar Tender (Kareem) and very very good Lasagna. Ok, I've had better, but not when you look at the big picture. Everything from food to service to price was absolutely in line. The Lasagna was excellent but a little too al dente. The lasagna noodles were slightly harder than I am used to. Normally the noodles are over cooked with no crunch or bite to them. These were obviously freshly made and had I waited maybe 1-2 minutes longer to allow the final cooking to take place, the noodles would have been perfect. When it arrived, in it's own casserole dish, still piping hot from the oven, and then the basket of fresh Garlic Bread? Well, I had no choice but to dive in and eat like I hadn't eaten in days. I was not disappointed in the least. Great food, atmosphere, service, wine and the price is fair. This would be a great place for romantic couples or families with children old enough to appreciate the feel of an old Italian Family Establishment.

We met an old friend here for dinner - booked the reservation through open table. They have many many styles of lasagna. One of us had a lasagna and the others had fresh fish and short ribs. It was all sumptuous. The waitress was funny and pleasant, and the cook came out to talk with us. Small restaurant with a cozy family feeling.

One of my favorite neighborhood places, I went last night with my partner and 2 friends. Ordered the whole wheat pasta with chicken and red sauce. I bit into something hard thinking it was a piece of uncooked penne but it tasted "smoky". Too hard to swallow, I put it on my plate and we all discovered it was a cigarette butt!! I went to the bathroom and vomited my meal as I was completely repulsed. The manager handled the situation poorly and said nobody in the kitchen smoked. I don't know what that has to do with anything. Someone obviously put in the pasta dish. The manager offered free dessert and that's about it. Appalling. Won't go back.

Today I called for a home delivery for lunch. A lady answered the phone and I asked her if she could tell me what are the lunch specials because I have no menu. She told me that she had customers waiting and that she didn't have time to go through the lunch special list with me. But, I could find their menu online. So, I asked if I could just get a meat lasagna with soup and a chicken Parmesan with Caesar salad and she told me that my bill would be $36.91. I got off the phone and I thought that the price sounded a bit more expensive than my past charges for these same lunch specials at this restaurant. So, I did take a minute to go online, look at the lunch menu & this is what I found: -Special chicken Parmigiana or Milanese served over pasta marinara for $10.95 -Cheese lasagna or lasagna Bolognese for $16.95 -Housemade garlic bread accompanied with soup of the day, nice little house salad, or caesar salad comes with each lunch special. So, after reading this online menu, I did the math and the price should've been $27.90 without tax. So, I called back to ask about the discrepancy in price. The same lady again answered the phone and told me that I must've read the menu wrong because both entrées are $16.95. I explained to her that I was sure that I had read it correctly and she asked me if I was certain that I was looking at the restaurant's actual website. Again, I explained to her that I double-checked and that, according to the online menu, the chicken Parmesan is $10.95 and not $16.95. She told me that she couldn't do anything about it and what did I want her to do now. Since there was no correcting this overcharge with Lasagna Ristorante from my bill, I decided it best to cancel the entire order and take my business elsewhere. I told the lady that I'm very sorry this was happening with a neighbor and that I would not be doing business with Lasagna Ristorante again. She told me she would credit my credit card and cancel the entire order and our conversation ended. After canceling my order, I looked at their online menu a third time and thought that this is clearly false advertisement. I had been overcharged and when bringing it to their attention, they chose not to correct it. A few minutes after our conversation ended, my phone rang and it was the same lady calling me back. She introduced herself to me as Mana, from Lasagna Ristorante. She said that she was looking right at their website and again I was wrong. She told me that she just wanted me to know this and that she had issued me a credit on my credit card and it should take about three days. She asked me if there was anything else. I responded that we already had this conversation and that there was still no solution offered to the overcharge. Mana responded, "So now you're getting angry!" I told her that I'm not angry and that I've been very patient through this situation, which still has no solution available. I told Mana that since we were discussing the menu, yet again, that I wanted her to know that I'm also looking at Lasagna Ristorante's website right now too. And there is one group of items for $10.95 and another group of items for $16.95. The very last item under the $10.95 list is the chicken Parmesan. Mana said, "Let me look at this again." She then told me that I was correct and she asked me, "So, what do you want me to do... comp your whole meal for you?" This unprofessionalism and lack of any tact whatsoever was endless. I just told Mana that I was hungry and I could order from someone else and let's just allow our second phone conversation (where I ended any further business transactions with Lasagna Ristorante) to take precedence over this final phone call, which serves no purpose but to insult a customer. Mana then said, "No, I'm sending your meals to you now." She then hung up the phone and in about 10 minutes the food did arrive with a bill of $36.91 for me to sign. Can you believe this? It was still the same incorrect overcharge that I was originally quoted. I told the delivery person that I could not sign for the bill and that if Mana needed to call me back, she is welcome to call me. I tipped the delivery person $10 and wished him a good day. It's very unfortunate, but I seriously doubt I will ever consider ordering from this restaurant again or have another meal inside this establishment. I want to be done with them. But, if I have to dispute the six dollar overcharge with my credit card company, I'll do this. It's just a matter of integrity (or lack of) at this point. How does the food taste? It's just your average, run-of-the-mill Italian food. Not at all worth the hassle.

Had a great over all experience. The food was delicious, service was great and the ambiance was just amazing. The restaurant offers a variety of options for vegetarians too.

The food was really amazing. I've been there a couple of times and every time the service was awesome as well as the waiters, smiling every time and checking up on you. The pastas and the sea food are absolutely worth the price, which is not too cheap. The drinks and the beers are perfect, as well. It is, truly, a perfect place to visit and to have your lunch and dinner.

My Best Friend since childhood lives in the Chelsea area of NYC...I visit him just about EVERY MONTH, (I live in FL)...I went up there for a visit over 3 yrs ago, and he took me to this restaurant...It has become our REGULAR, Go-To Part of EVERY TRIP I MAKE to visit my friend...Even when I'm not there...He frequently has dinner or cocktails there. We've brought many of our friends to LASAGNA who have also returned there. The restaurant is cozy and appealing, is a wonderful place for either a romantic dinner or a group. The food is very well priced, but most importantly...DELICIOUS & CONSISTENTLY SO! Because we have become regulars there, we got to know the owner and have become good friends with him. Whenever we go for dinner or cocktails...It feels like the restaurant ITSELF is bringing you into an embrace. Adam, The owner...Always welcomes us with a warm smile & a big hug. It's like coming home. Adam is a wonderful host, with a great sense of humor. He TRULY cares about his guests & that they are well taken care of. He is a man of substance and will frequently be stopping by to chat with his guests, & ensure that they are enjoying their experience & their food. The staff is very friendly & attentive. The atmosphere, the owner, the food, the staff, are nothing less than WONDERFUL! Their entrees and appetizers are consistently delicious. If you just wanted to go for a cocktail...There's a full bar & they also have..."Margarita Mondays". I've had the privilege of being asked to taste new dishes that were being considered as an addition to the menu. Lasagna is a delightful place to enjoy a delicious meal...And Adam & his staff are sincere when they ask if you're enjoying your food! If you're ever in the Chelsea area of NYC...PLEASE...Treat yourself to a wonderful meal and a Restaurant that has a heart!

Really enjoyed the evening there! Seated recommends it as a date spot and I was not disappointed. It wasn't too busy which was actually really nice because I didn't feel rushed or that I had to be out at a certain time. The service was great, on top of making sure we got everything we needed. I ordered baked ziti which was delicious and my date ordered penne alla vodka, which had a little kick to it. It was a really nice night so the windows and door were opened so I would say it was an "NYC thing" as opposed to a reflection on the restaurant.

Walked in & there was only two people eating which we thought was very quite, wish we would of walked back out! Waiter got drink wrong asked for vodka with lemonade got cloudy lemonade. While we was eating waiter didn’t ask if food was ok just left us to it and sat on his phone! When we got bill we didn’t think 18% tip was acceptable as service was poor so we said we would leave $8 dollars to round the bill up as a tip to be told don’t bother I’ll give you all your change back! I felt this was very rude as some tip is better than nothing. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food was very yummy. I got waffles w. some fresh fruit & whipped cream. Our server was not the most attentive. We were a group of 6 & some of our glasses would sit empty for 10-15 minutes before getting a refiil. One of our water glasses had something floating in it & there was something gross on my fork. Those are small things that can be overlooked but I felt that we paid to much to have our drinks empty for that long. Also, the bread they served before the meal was AMAZING!!! Overall I would come here again

A previous delicious experience in September brought back for dinner. Was hoping for the same delicious Mediterranean Salad that I had had before but it was not on the specials or regular menu forcing me to make another choice, What a delight that turned out to be. I ordered the baked ziti & substituted chicken for sausage. It was delicious! Meaty, cheesy & every bite was yummy. Loved this dish. The garlic bread was also great. My husband had the ground sirloin lasagna that he devoured - loved it! 2 glasses of Pinot Noir to accompany it & he was set for the evening. Our nephew who joined us for dinner had the Penne All Vodka with chicken & he really enjoyed his dinner too. Our server was very nice, friendly & busy all night but she made time for us whenever we needed something. This tiny little corner spot is becoming our favorite go-to for delicious meals & great service. Perfect location on 8th Ave.

Cute restaurant specialising in lasagne and pasta. There are various meat and vegetable lasagnes to choose from, I sampled the lamb lasagne and the artichoke lasagne - both were delicious! Staff were super friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves lasagne or pasta!

Popular neighborhood spot -- quick service, always good in a pinch.

Nice pleasant little restaurant with a lovely menu especially for non meat eaters. The only problem was one of the waiters a bit dismissive of us, especially when asked for non alcoholic drinks..,,unable to drink wine due to migraines as much as I would love a glass of red! Food excellent though

Food was good. We enjoyed every bite. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt. We were drawn in by the "bottomless drinks" There's no value here. The Bellinis, mimosas and bloody Marys included in your two hour stay are watered down and sugary. I'd prefer to pay full price for a full drink. No value on the bottomless, but come for the food and outstanding service.

Mana, our server, was beautiful, knowledgeable (the menu and the wines)and attentive to all five of us.She was a treasure and delight. She exemplifies excellent customer service. Will definitely return.

Meal was fresh, hot, delicious! Exactly how we ordered it. Bread was delicious and garden salad was amazing! Definitely a great choice!

While most places re-heat their pre-made lasagnas this place is the only place in the city that actually bakes the lasagna fresh.

Had brunch there around 11:30/12 which was the perfect time to come! Be prepared to wait or book a table! As a solo traveller I had to eat at the bar because the rest of the restaurant was booked. The place gets fairly crowded and the atmosphere is really enjoyable. I recommend the egg benedict, great plate of food and with a complimentary drink, it is worth the money and you gain a great atmosphere! The staff is friendly and profesional. I would definitely go again next time I am in New York!

Lasagna has the best lasagna dishes around as well as other excellent standard Italian fare. The chicken parmesan is terrific. Service is usually very good. The only problem is that the noise level can be pretty high when it's crowded. Menu prices are very reasonable.

Went here last Friday night with friend and all of our kids after a long day of Christmas shopping. We were seated immediately and our waiter was phenomenal and very patient. We all loved our food and the restaurant was even kind enough to provide another plate so the smaller two children could share a dish. Only complaint here is that there is a single restroom for ladies and the line was 4 deep. While I was waiting for the restroom, they started to dismantle our table and we felt we were being rushed out. The manager or owner not sure which came up to me as I was coming out of the bathroom and said I really need to take your table apart, I have to seat these people who had a previous reservation. I didn't mind so much, as we were done eating but it felt a little rushed and after we spend well over 150.00 for a meal with 5 kids under 13 it takes just a little bit of time to get jackets, gather bags etc. I would definitely go back, but the last 5 minutes felt like our business was much less important that the couple they were using our table for.

We had a nice dinner at Lasagna, food and service were very good, and it is very cozy and romantic. Recommended!

One of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan! The atmosphere is great. You can sit outside and people watch on 8th ave, The food is incredible. There are so many different types of Lasagna and each one is as good as the other. My favorite dish is the Chicken Balsamic. The staff is very attentive and so friendly. Ask for Kerri for your server, she is such a doll. Bryan and Carmillo are two of the nicest and most handsome bartenders in Chelsea. Adam the owner is on site almost every night and takes a very hands approach in running the restaurant. A night at Lasagna is wonderful evening out.

We came with our kids and enjoyed a fabolous minestrone soup, delicious lasagna, great pastas and a fig ice-cream for dessert. We felt Italy in NYC.

I'm a Chelsea resident and I've been here numerous times. Nice dinner of eggplant carpaccio and crab meat lasagna tonight (I only eat the lasagne here, it's great, though there are lots of pasta dishes). Normal dinner crowd was thinned out by raucous going-away party at the bar.

When ever I am in Manhattan I dine at this location. It used to be a regular weekly dining spot when I lived in New York and it is now a must when I visit two to three times per year. Great food, great staff and great ambiance. I had the chicken with hot cherry peppers on my last visit and it was excellent. I wish I had asked for the recipe. I am so looking forward to my next visit.

Went by for late night dinner. The place was still packed at 10pm. The wait staff were friendly. The tables are close together, but you don't really notice it. The food was delicious. I recommend the Carbonara.

The restaurant itself is cute, and we went on a rainy night so the place wasn't packed- which meant service was on point. We all ordered different types of lasagna and salads. The food was good and I thought the menu had a lot to choose from. Would definitely return and try something else.

I took my mom to brunch here and it did not disappoint. We both ordered omelets, which arrived to our table pipping hot! we both ordered the unlimited bellini option, which was fruity and refreshing. I believe our water's name was Danny, and he was attentive and full of personality! Although we didn't have a reservation, I'd highly suggest having one for brunch because it fills up quickly. When I'm back in NYC, I'll definitely return here.

We discovered Lasagna Ristorante during a stay in Chelsea, my son loved the pasta here and he is a fuss pot and very particular having a Nonna at home who cooks authentic Italian! All in all the food was good, and yes cooked fresh for each person, I liked that! We enjoyed many dishes as we returned about 3 times. We found the service to be very friendly and prompt, during busy times there can be a wait for your food, but remember it is being freshly prepared, so worth a bit of a wait, sit back relax and enjoy the atmosphere, good prices and large serves!

We stopped and tried this restaurant and had a good meal at reasonable prices. We enjoyed sitting outside, but it is on a busy corner street , so kind of noisy.

It was a really good lunch with the tasty lasagna. Portions are also big enough. If you’re hanging around Chelsea it’s a good option to eat.

Wonderful old school family restaurant in Chelsea with a very convivial vibe. Couples, workmates, friends and families were enjoying the atmosphere and each other when we wandered in... we'd snagged an excellent parking spot, explored a bit, and made a very lucky choice. . SO happy we found this place! Food was great, staff even better: helpful, informative, patient, very welcoming and friendly. Maximiliano is a treasure. Prices were surprisingly affordable, especially for Chelsea on a weekend night. We highly recommend Lasagna Ristorante.

If you like lasagna this place is for you. It has more variation of the traditional Italian dish than you can think of. And If you don't like lasagna the rest of the food there is all very good. We had great service and can't think of any negative to say. the only reason I don't rate this plan excellent is that I am very stingy with that rating.

Quiet neighborhood restaurant. Lasagna was very good - especially the short-rib option. Waitress was excellent. Good stop if you are in Chelsea.

Staying in the neighborhood for a week, we did our best to frequent local restaurants. The first time for a glass of wine, their house Chardonnay wine being Jacobs Creek which we discovered in Sydney. The next two times we made a bee line for their lasagna choosing veal both times. It was divine with a house salad loaded with vegetables. Service good, food great, wonderful neighborhood restaurant that we enjoyed seated outside. Do yourself a favor: have the veal lasagna

Came here for our first visit on sat 9/1/16 we hadn't made a reservation & the restaurant was very busy but we were found a table, the staff were fantastic food absolutely outstanding couldn't fault our visit at all, we will definitely visit again when in NYC

Please do not let the name fool you. This Chelsea restaurant serves more than just quality lasagna. My wife and I ate there twice during a recent 6 night trip to NYC and were not disappointed either time. The atmosphere is quiet and the service is professional and efficient. The lasagna dishes, especially the sirloin lasagna are wonderful, they also serve excellent chicken parm and pasta entrees as well. The meatball appetizer should also not be missed. Lasagna is now one of our favorite spots in NYC.

A friend brought a group of us here because he loved their lasagna, but I have a love/hate relationship with dairy - so I was a little worried about selection. But after the server recommended the spaghetti I took a chance and am so glad I did. Sure you're thinking it's noodles, sauce and a ball of meat - how can you screw it up? But each element of this dish was packed so full of flavor that I didn't want it to end. I even considered asking for more - and I was filled to the brim by the portion size. My only regret was not trying a dessert. Just go and enjoy - you won't be disappointed!

Lasagna is never bad and will never be great. But it is a reliable place for their title dish and a great value at lunch.

Unfortunately I actually was a bit disappointed about my visit at the Lasagna Ristorante. I was sitting outside for dinner and service was pretty slow. Also thought that it was a bit overpriced but still good food.

Went with a friend and we both had the same salad as an appetizer, the arugula salad with the house dressing and we both fell ill and threw up. We told the management and they would not believe us! Would not recommend it :(

We’ve been coming here, off and on, for a couple of years. The food had been good; well-prepared and tasty. Our last couple of visits have been disappointing. A pork Scarpariello special was pallid and tasteless, with none of the zing you’d expect if you knew the dish. And it seems like they’ve done something to the lasagnas. A sausage lasagna had what looked like machine-chopped sausage entirely on one side of the dish, with not much of anything between the sheets of pasta that looked and tasted as if it had come from a box. Mushroom lasagna was watery and similarly absent other filling. Maybe it’s me, not them. But I don’t enjoy this place like I used to and I can’t recommend it anymore.

This is a fairly large restaurant on a bustling corner of Chelsea. Ample indoor & outdoor seating, full bar, upscale but not stuffy. Prices are in the moderate range for NYC. A big menu full of Italian favorites & other selections. The servings are large, the service good. The food is authentic Italian-American. The sauces are thick & tasty, the pasta is cooked correctly, al dente, not mush. From a table here you can people-watch any time of day, which is always a treat in Chelsea.

The bottomless mimosas are about the only good thing about this restaurant. The atmosphere is boring. Food is subpar, not worth the cost. Wouldn't go back.

Standard Italian food done well with reasonable prices. Service is also all that would be desired and very helpful.

LOVE THIS place. Great food. You want breakfast? you want a big salad, a burger..Some of the best Lasagna.. It's here..Plus the classic Brunch cocktails keep on flowing...$16.95 gets you one of these great Entrees, one drink, garlic bread TO DIE for and a cup of coffee ( I hate other places that nail you for $4 for a cup)...I had beef short ribs and mushrooms with 2 poached egss..My finicky daughter had veggie lasagna chock full of roasted veggies others had classic lasagna full of beef, seafood fritatas ..Back to the booze.. 90 mins of all you can drink freshly made TOP NOTCH bloody mary's...had 2 of them, then a few more Belini's ..BEST new for $11 more all you can drink DUHHHHHH great value

Went to get a late lunch at 2pm on a Friday. Very slow service food was okay. Kept bringing me cherry cokes instead of cokes. Wouldn't go again.

We stopped for a quick dinner on our way to Atlantic theatre. Looked like a nice place for a romantic dinner - dimly lit, candles, white tablecloth. Everything was just right except for the blaring loud pop music. We asked twice to turn down the volume and eventually they did but not by much. Other than that, a cordial server, tasty lasagna and veal, nice ambiance. Just, please, change the music!

At the recommendation of friends, we decided to check out Lasagna, a neighborhood café in Chelsea. Great choice! One of our favorite meals in NYC. They serve something like 17 different kinds of lasagna with different ingredients, different sauces, vegetarian, etc. Everything is baked to order, so it can take a little while before your entrée comes out. The menu does include other options, besides lasagna. Their servings are big, too, and perfect for sharing – especially if you start with a salad or plan on dessert. The lasagna is served in a stoneware dish that comes straight from the oven to your table. So it’s bubbling and very hot, and prepared just how you like it. We don’t like ricotta cheese, so we were able to get ours prepared with no ricotta. Two thumbs up for this Lasagna location. Great food and great service!

Lasagna ( I ordered shrimp and scallops-.spicy) was excellent. The portions were generous and the price very reasonable. Service was friendly. You can dine either indoors or as we did facing 20th street.

Very good food and friendly attentive service. Sausage and onion lasagna was fantastic as well as the Penne Jambalaya in rose sauce.

I had dinner two days ago at Lasagna... Love this place.. Food is excellent, albeit some plates are a bit overpriced... Would recommend it for anyone who likes Italian food

We spent a month living 2 blocks from this restaurant and enjoyed it so much we ate here at least 4 times. The buratta was a real hit with us, as was each of the various pastas and meats we tried. Great, friendly service, long opening hours, a modest priced wine list and good ambience all added to it. Well worth a visit.

Went there today for dinner, I had seen the restaurant on TV before and wanted to try their lasagna. The food was great and lasagna is baked fresh while you have your salad and or appetizers. Garlic bread was so good, I wish I had a whole loaf :) The quantity was huge and it could be enough for two. They also have a bar which is good if you want to pair your food. The service was very good too. Will definitely go there again.

There seems to be a lot of hype regarding this place, but IMO (In My Opinion) the brunch food was average at best. The stand out of this locale is definitely the all you can drink option for an additional $9. During the summer days it would probably be wiser to sit indoors due to the heavy traffic up and down 8th avenue, though there will be plenty of eye candy for all preferences if you do choose to brave the heat and steady flow of pedestrians peering over your shoulder.

Loved this place! Brunch was so much fun and delicious! They not only have the unlimited mimosas and bloody Mary's but also delicious bellinis! I liked it a lot and the staff was super nice and kind! I recommend this place a lot! Oh and btw it's better to make a rsvp

Quite reasonably priced Italian food in central Chelsea location. Really enjoys the Proscuitto Lasagna and a great Chicken Parmigana. Very friendly waiter Craig made our visit very comfortable.

The main reason for going to this restaurant is that it is close to the Joyce and, if you tell them you're going to a show at the Joyce, they will get you out in time. The other positives are that they are great about providing a gluten free and dairy free alternative. We went with a group of five, one of whom loves this place and always wants to come back. The rest of us are kind of meh about it. For the rest of us,the food is fine, but not great. One major problem is that the service is very disorganized and although we've been here a number of times (because of the above reasons) it always seems like it must have just opened, because they just don't seem to have their act together.

Good service, we enjoyed the Italian style food very much. A relaxed atmosophere sitting inside the restaurant.

Finally a good italian in NYC The dishes are great and just the perfect amount. Service is friendly.

We were visiting New York in July and the hotel concierge recommended we go to 2nd Ave and we would find lots of places to eat. We stumbled upon this restaurant and ordered their bruschetta and then their lasagna. Oh my goodness!!! One of the bet lasagnas we have had in a long time! Topped of with the perfectly made cappuccino and the apple pie with real vanilla ice cream!!! Well we made sure that we went there for dinner every night of our stay!!! And the quality and service never changed! Highly recommend this place if you visit New York! And we can't wait to come back!!

Was looking for another restaurant but was closed due to Thanksgiving Day. So walk around and find this. It was an unexpected find. Was sceptical when we entered the restaurant at 1:30pm when there is no guest in the restaurant. But the experience was great. The food was really good. We had set lunches that is really value for money. For $10/$16, you have choice of a salad or soup, some garlic bread, and a main. The Casear salad is the best we have ever eaten. No kidding! We ordered 3 cheese Lasagna, Garlic pasta, Cabonara and a salmon dish. All are excellently cooked. Really really good.

We went there on a romantic date and it didn't dissapoint. The ambiance is perfect for that kind of thing. It is a small and cozy restaurant, with candles and flowers on the table. Well... the tables and kind of small and the space for your chair is small too, but that was the only problem. The staff was incredibly nice, and the food was very good. We ordered two different lasagnas and they both were tasty and you could tell that they hadnt't been fast cooked, so to speak.

We chose an outside table to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city and a bit of people watching. We were somewhat concerned because the restaurant was not busy compared to the Mexican restaurant across the street. But, we made the right choice. We ordered a tasty Tuscan red and while my husband chose the hanger steak, I decided on the sausage lasagna. We started with calamari that was good, but what made it better was the sauce served with it. The garlic bread was fresh and toasted just right. My husbands steak was served medium (he ordered medium rare because its tough to get the hanger steak right) and was very happy with the taste and cook. My lasagna truly was one of the best I have ever had. The portions are generous, the service is attentive and the prices are reasonable. Definitely worth checking out.

At the recommendation of a hotel staff member we gave the Lasagna try for an evening meal. Not only were the wait staff very friendly but they helped us with some special requests. The meals were delicious, fresh, and served in a relaxed but attentive manner. Everything from appetizers to desserts was beyond reproach.

We visit the restaurant about once a year or so when we are working in the city. This evening was another great meal. While some of the servers have an attitude and can be distracting from the great food the young lady who served us was great. My wife loved her chicken marsala and the side potatoes and fresh vegetables were good as well. I ordered a fusilli pasta with chicken, brocolli, and sun dried tomatoes. It had a wonderful flavor that still allowed the vegetables to shine. I would prefer fresh bread, but their complementary garlic bread was adequate. It was another good visit.

We had the best brunch! The egg dishes were amazing, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was so relaxing for a Sunday morning. The mimosas and bellinis were a great addition to our meals. Highly recommend eating here.

We were unvited for dinner at Lasagna and were not sure what to expect - afterall, I never ordered lasgana in a restaurant (did you?). We had the Ground Sirloin Lasagna, Chicken Arrabiato and Cheese Ravioli - it was just splendid! the food, the service, the atmosphere, even the prices!

Fantastic meal. Especially liked the seasonal food. Always something different. You will need to book. It is very popular but worth the trip.

This restaurant gets 5 stars from me ( I grade very hard). Dinners were expertly prepared, service was attentive but not overbearing and the price point was moderate. My veal was tender, the sauce complimentary and the pasta aldente. The wine, a house selected cabernet, was excellent as well as being reasonably priced. I upgraded this establishment from a 4 to a 5 star due to the owner and managers presence and attention to the smallest details. Highly recommended. Do take the time to visit.

Stumbled upon this place literally around the corner from our hotel. The place has a nice decor and the staff are really nice and friendly. The food was really good and the cost wasn’t too bad. Overall enjoyed our meals and the experience of eating there, recommended.

Service was great. Food was superb. I had the gnocchi with vodka sauce and they were delicious-very light(like they should be). My husband had shrimp alfredo and it was also very tasty. The prices were reasonable. We will definitely return the next time we are in NYC.

Varied Lunch menu priced reasonable for Chelsea More choices than any other restaurant in the area. Lunch menu consisted of over 20 choices.

Lasagna is one of my favorite foods and I was elated when I heard about this great place! We went during lunch hours after our fun walk through the High Line. We started with a "little side salad" (that's what it says on the menu) and a caesar salad. The caesar salad was good, croutons were different with a little bite/heat to them. Hubby said the creamy Italian dressing was good also. The garlic bread was also very good. For our meal, I got the four cheese lasagna and my husband had the lasagna bolognese. The lasagna was served at the perfect temperature. Not too hot, but hot enough to make the cheese super stretchy and delicious! Both of our meals were excellent. Our server was very attentive and the service was friendly and quick. It was a lovely day in Manhatten so we enjoyed sitting in the restaurant close to the street so we could get a great breeze. I cannot wait to go back and have this great lasagna again or try something new.

Great food and good service to go with it. We went in there Christmas Eve and was reasonably busy, got a table easy though. Food was really good and service was fine. Worth going to.

We just love Lasagna! Took my sister and her husband here and they loved it too! The wait staff are very friendly and knowledgable and very helpful with menu selections. The Cheese Ravioli with Procini Trufle Oil, Linguine with Shrimp, Ground Lamb Lasagna and Veal Marsala is what the 4 of us ate and every dish was perfection!

We had a late lunch at Lasagna on Dec. 11. We shared pasta and salad. The restaurant was quiet and the service was prompt. The food was delicious and portions just the right size.

Made a reservation the evening before. My arrival seemed to surprise the performer who greeted me. In general the serving staff were scruffy and seemed to think they are part of a show. Their interest in the customers was minimal. Very poor image and not a bit Italian In Sept 2014 I had - 1/2 l Chianti [$16.95] Soup [$6.95] Veal Toscana [$19.95] too large Cheese cake [$5.95] plus tax Not bad for NYC. However the food was bland and delivered carelessly I gave a low percentage tip after finding a server to take the money I watched an American couple at a neighbouring table, The lady had left 3/4 of her desert. The man counted out a standard cash tip after paying by card. I was amused to see the lady reach across, remove all of the notes, and put them in her handbag; and this was in New York City. Their departure - as was mine - went unnoticed by the staff. And her desert residue still sat there. Now you know

We stopped in to have a cold drink and obtain directions. Bar tender was extremely friendly and helpful in getting us to our destination. Will definitely make this our lunch or dinner destination during our next destination.

Very Accommodating. Warm, friendly and inviting. Changed tables for a group of five and walked us in through the kitchen to reach the open tables outdoors on 20th St. and 8th Ave. Saturday nite, late evening dining out experience. Offer gluten free dining on the menu with a GF penne pasta Jambalaya dish. The Manager, Rubin, rescued our meal as the GF dish did not arrive with the wheat-based meatballs covered in cheese, salad and Italian bread. The manager and one of the servers who recognized the difference between wheat-filled, gluten-rich and wheat-free, gluten-free saved our dining experience from becoming a catastrophe. The Jambalaya button did not get pressed to be served together with the other food. It arrived late. Like 45 minutes after we sat down to eat at the table and ordered it. Being celiac, we also ordered dairy-free items for two of our family members who ended up eating the cheesy, tasty meatballs all containing wheat and dairy covered. My mother, a nonagenarian who lives with being celiac, asks three times "Where is the food? I'm hungry" until finally, the Italian bread basket and meatballs (all containing wheat and gluten) is set down in front of her. She's feeling forced to eat it. And, the whole table of family members start yelling and screaming at me for standing up and asking to remove it and serve the gluten-free food ordered in its place. So, having to leave the table to find the Manager who is now my NYC/Chelsea hero. After my mother filled up on the meatballs, or clogged up she ran downstairs to use the toilet. And the server-runner staff stayed with us and helped bring it all together. We're told the servers and runners will all become better educated about serving gluten-free items on the menu, being prepared separately and taking a bit longer to dish up and serve out to the table.

Typical Italian menu plus a great variety of lasagnas. Everything we had was well prepared and nicely presented. Seating is very cramped as the restaurant is quite small. Quick service. a la carte menu--not especially expensive but not cheap. Wines and salads somewhat overpriced in my estimation.

Wonderful affordable brunch with a bottomless Bellini option... Need I say more? Ok, the staff was fantastic! The food was delicious! And the waiter just kept coming with more Bellini's! I highly recommend this great find!

Sometimes you just luck out. We were on a rare excursion to the Big Apple and wandering around looking for a good veggie-friendly spot. Is was warm and we hoped for outside seating. We spotted Lasagne Ristorante, but all the outside tables were full. We popped in to see the menu and were seated by an open window. I ordered the Four Cheese Lasagna, my mate got the Spinach one, and our daughter ordered the Caesar Salad and helped us with our pastas. We also had the Special Salad. Every dish was super! I'm not a city-dweller, but this is why I envy New Yorkers for their cuisines.

Great service and atmosphere, but the food was okay. I had procuito and eggplant lasagna. I enjoyed the eggplant very much but the procito was very salty and the pasta needed to baked a little longer. Guess the chief thought we were hungry. :) Overall, I recommend to try the place because the lasagna is baked freshly for each customer unlike other places, where they reheat it....

We decided to try this after seeing it on TV prior to a MSG visit. It was quiet on a Tuesday night and the staff was attentive and seemed genuinely interested in us. I had a make your own combo lasagna and my wife had the spinach lasagna. Both were very good. Was it the best lasagna I've ever had? No. But it was very good nonetheless. Would recommend for a change of pace and to try out an Italian staple.

I visit NYC two to three times a year and with each visit, the first dinner experience I have is at Lasagna. The location is great and the food is even better. I love lasagna and I think this may be the best lasagna I’ve had. I appreciate the whole experience, from the friendly staff who remember who I am and what I like, to the fresh salad (made with fresh beets), to the wide variety of lasagnas. Of course, they offer other items on the menu, I’ve never strayed away from the pasta and lasagna. If you enjoy pasta and a quintessential New York atmosphere, you’ll really enjoy Lasagna.

This place was recommended to us by a foodie friend of ours. It was really a great find here in NYC. Michael was extremely friendly and welcoming to the restaurant. His suggestions were perfect for our meal. I highly and very much suggest the Short Rib Lasagna. Everything is made to order, and very tasty. Second choice is their special lasagna, Lamb and eggplant Lasagna. The flavors were spot on. Both were highly complimented by the fresh red sauce. It’s a great place, and we will definitely be back.

Saturday morning brunch was WONDERFUL. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant and its bathroom is CLEAN. The food is delicious and priced so well, has a home cooked taste to it as well. The bottomless drinks were also good - a little sweet but for the price ($22 - food and drinks) I cannot complain. I will return.

living in the area I wanted to try the lunch special with my friend. Started out bringing us garlic bread, I had the minestrone soup which was good, decided on chicken parmesan and the portion of the chicken dish was plenty with spaghetti that was not such a big portion of pasta which was fine for me as I was happy to have more of a bigger portion of meat. I wish the chicken was thinner pounded but otherwise good. The staff was good and even brought my friend plain bread on request since she can not eat garlic bread. I think the meal was good value and was not bsuy considering friday at lunch time

Lovely Family dinner before the show. All of our meals were good and very filling. A bit pricey, but still very good meal and portions. We sat inside, but close to the window, and it was very nice.

Although they have all kinds of Lasagna, more than a half dozen choices for both vegetarians and carnivores, they have much else that is delicious as well. We had chicken paillard and veal parmigiana, and both were excellent. Nice atmosphere. The service could use work: the place was virtually empty, yet we had to work hard to get the attention of the waiter every time we wanted him. But a good experience overall

Service isnt the greatest and food takes a long time to prepare, step up from Olive Garden

We stopped here for lunch after a walk along the highline and we opted for the $10.95 lunch special. We both ate well, had garlic bread included and left feeling full and happy! The bruschetta was very tasty as a starter and Linguine Bolognese our favourite of the main courses. We sat in the window and it was great watching the world go by.

Whilst discovering Chelsea in Manhattan we came across this wonderful restaurant. We received good service and the food was wonderful. We sat outside where we watched New Yorkers eating wonderful pasta dishes whilst drinking our red wine with our gorgeous meals. Great atmosphere and if we discovered this place earlier in our holiday we would have returned for more. We had two main meals and a bottle of wine and the total bill was just over $70 dollars, absolute bargain!!!

There are many things to like about this restaurant - a good location, outdoor seating (perfect for watching everyone walking by), and a nice menu, but the indifference of the staff was surprising. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. With so many choices in the area it will probably be a while before I return.

Visited this restaurant for the first time with another couple one of whom has a celiac condition. The restaurant was, chosen because it advertises "gluten free' pasta. However when inquiring about how the gluten free pasta was prepared the waitress checked and advised that it is not prepared so as to prevent cross-contamination (same pot used as for regular pasta) That being said: the food was good, the prices reasonable, and the service was good..

Everything about this place I love. The food is excellent, the service excellent, and the ambiance excellent. I have been here numberous times and have never been dissapointed. Def a gem in NYC, affordable as well. My favorite dishes are the farfalle vodka and the lasagna (of course since its their name)

Good choices on the lunch special. The gnocci came with ministrone soup and garlic bread. Decent food. Good value

The name of course is appropriate as they have many different types of lasagna. We tried the meatball lasagna which was delicious and such a good idea. Food was hot and perfect on a cold night. The Caesar salad was wonderful and the garlic bread was excellent. Drinks were good. Coffee and desert was average. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. All this and not even in Little Italy!

Manager refused to honor restaurant-generated discount coupon unless we paid in cash--not a stated condition of the offer. Bait and switch. Get-lost management attitude toward customers. Passable food. Great waiter. Won't be back. Hope waiter finds job in restaurant that deserves him.

A restaurant that displays this sign is misleading because you think it is Italian cuisine. In reality, after entering and tasting a typical lasagna I realized that it is different from the Italian one and the chef-owner is not Italian. The lasagna, made with pre-cooked pasta, had an interior with a whole piece and not minced meat sauce, with quite evident and inedible ribs and an absolutely out of place sour ricotta cream with a cucumber aftertaste. THIS IS NOT LASAGNA!!! The place is located in a corner of an intersection between 8Ave and 20str and inside the furniture isn't that great but the prices seem to be quite high for what it offers. Also tried the usual spaghetti with meat ball... average. Low quality/price ratio. I reported the above to the waiter but it seems to me that he nodded without understanding what we were saying. The rating is just below passing

This is a clever idea where the restaurant has a basic tomato sauce, lasagna and then the patron choses what filling goes into the final creation. It works well, but some more delicate fillings (ie salmon) get a little overwhelmed in the tomato. The tiramisu is also well worth a try.

A friend of mine took me here for dinner and I had the Chicken Scallopini, it was absolutely divine!!!! I loved it, the chicken was so tender and everything was perfect! Great food, wine and service!! LOVED IT!

I recently stumbled upon this place on a Friday night after leaving the gym. The lights were perfectly dimmed the music was alluring and put me in the perfect mood. I was welcomed by a very attractive young man named Laurent. He immediately escorted me to a nice, quiet, corner window seat. Where I could watch the many wonders of New York City. He suggested one of the daily specials and a phenomal glass of wine. I work in the hospitality industry myself and I was blown away by the service here. Everyone is attentive, courteous and professional. The food is amazing and comes out quickly. They have great vegan and gluten free options. I will continue to visit this wonderful establishment and Laurent once a week. Thank you lasagna ristorante for making my first experience memorable.

Craving italian, we found this spot online. I was a bit jealous of my husband's choice, the veal lasagna was phenomenal. My chicken marsala was ok. Thin sauce was good but not what I had in mind, likewise, paired with plain penne and marinara sauce was pretty boring. Would return again though to have the lasagna for sure. Nothing special about the atmosphere or decor. Our server was friendly.

I wanted to splurge on one nicer meal on this trip to NYC. I had a full day of seeing friends and visiting some sites, so my feet were tired. I wanted to find something within a few blocks of where I was staying, and I happened to see this on the corner when passing through the intersection. I'm so glad I chose it! It was a Monday night, and there were only 2 other tables filled when I sat down. I was alone, so there was no problem getting a small table to myself. The waiter was attentive and offered some suggestions when I asked what he thought were the best dishes. I chose the linguine with garlic, mushrooms, olives, and tomatoes. It was wonderful! They also served a side of bread while waiting for the main course. I would've liked to try a dessert, but I was so stuffed from the main course that I just didn't have room. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a good meal while in the Chelsea area.

We've been to Lasagne many times over the years and it's always been a dependable restaurant with good comfort food. This visit tho was a big letdown. The waiters should write the orders down so as not to get them wrong. Two of our orders were wrong. The food wasn't as good as I remembered and all the prices had gone up. And they had very loud music at the prime dinner hour making conversation impossible. We probably won't return anytime soon.

They had a sister restaurant up in Hell's Kitchen that didn't fare well but Lasagna in Chelsea is still one of my favorites. Very friendly service and the food is always delicious. Ironically, I've never had their lasagne. (I can make a great one.) But their specials are plentiful and yummy. Time before last I sat next to a Project Runway contestant - during the taping of the show. Very interesting and eclectic group of diners.

This Italian restaurant was a local favourite in Chelsea neighbourhood. We had the lasagna with Italian sausage, penne with salmon in vodka sauce, and grilled chicken with roasted potatoes. All dishes were good and the portions were huge. There was no room for appetizer or dessert. Overall great value and a fun atmosphere. Service was attentive and a great dining experience.

Mad a dinner reservation for myself at Lasagna Ristorante in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. Good location, easy to get to by transit. Relatively large space for New York, tables well spaced and clean. Average decor with a large TV behind the bar..which I didn't think added to the ambiance, but some customers were watching it. Super friendly staff and excellent service. Tried a glass of house Merlot which was nice and the meatball lasagna, Nice sized portion accompanied with terrific garlic bread but I felt the lasagna was just average tasting. The staff were so nice I would go back again and try another dish.

Stumbled on the restaurant on our last night in the city. Our server Anthony was wonderful. Our meals were great. Portions were more than I'm used to, but my inner piggy came out and I ate it all!!!! I will be back!!! Loved it!!!!

Staying in Chelsea and found this restaurant when looking for walkable dinner options. They have a decent selection of wines by bottle; nice Barolo. Several entrees looked good, but decided on short rib lasagne because…well, you know. My husband ordered a lasagne with meatballs. Both were delicious, cooked to order so time to enjoy the wine. We weren’t sure we wanted dessert but glad we had the tiramisu; not too sweet, just right. Excellent service from Justin. He was attentive but not intrusive; nice enough to make suggestions for other restaurants based on our plans the next two evenings. Highly recommend Lasagne Restorante for food and service!

I'm Italian and I know what is a Lasagna. The thing they serve is not! The food was horrible I left it, I took and iced tea, horrible too no sugar made with strange water with strange taste. Never ever again.

Our first night in NYC & our nephew recommended this spot. Reservations made & the 3 of us arrived right on time. It was early evening so there were plenty of open tables. We were seated right away & our server, Mana, was right on time. She was attentive, helpful & always there when we needed her. The garlic bread was excellent! I ordered the Mediterranean salad & it was fantastic! A delightful blend of veggies in a light dressing, no lettuce at all in this salad & it was delicious, My husband ordered the beef lasagna & he really enjoyed it. Our nephew ordered the classic lasagna & all our plates were clean very quickly. We celebrated with a slice of cheesecake, which was also wonderful. When we return to the Big Apple we would definitely enjoy another meal here.

My wife and I met an old friend, who I hadn't seen in 15+ years, for a late lunch on Thursday Aug. 16th. We ordered from the Lunch Specials menu. My friend had the meat lasagna, which was fine. My wife had the Spinach Fettucine which also was fine - nothing spectacular. I decided to order the Margarita Pizza, and made a point of asking the server if it was a 'thin crust, NY-style pizza', which she assured me it was. Let me add that at home, I make my own pizza on a stone on an outdoor gas grill. Not bad, I'm told. I would bet my pizza stone that the pizza I was served came out of a box from the freezer department of Sysco or some other purveyor. I mean really, how tough and how costly is it make up some pizza dough and throw some sliced tomato, mozzarella and basil on it? The one I got wasn't even a margarita - it was sauce and cheese. A sorry excuse for pizza in the Pizza Capital of the United States. They should be embarrassed enough to at least take it off the menu... Very disappointing. Won't go back.

A friend and I ate an early dinner here before seeing a dance concert at the Joyce Theater (just two blocks away). The staff was pleasant and the food was very good. The portions were large enough that we were able to share a house salad and a special breast of chicken dish with shallots, artichokes and white wine sauce served with pasta or potatoes. We also ordered glasses of "blended" white wine off the "specials" menu which was refreshing and only $10 per glass. All the prices were reasonable. The restaurant has high ceilings and the tables are not on top of one another. There is also outdoor seating but it was too hot the night we visited - it was dark and cool inside. We did wait a while for our entree but were not in a rush. The pop music was also a bit loud for our taste but we had no trouble having a conversation above it.

Stopped there with 2 children Menu is simple Portions are good A little pricey for the quality/taste but then you are in Chelsea... The most disconcerting fact was that no one else came in/out whilst we were there Staff was not necessarily brilliant but nothing bad either Manager just does not want to be there I think

They charge 20% for the tips directly when I ask for the ticket ! They can suggest ! But the amount is my choice, I went just with my son , not six people!

We went to this restaurant on a cold, cold night. This could explain its being sparsely attended, even though it was a Friday. We ordered Minestrone soup to start. It tasted more like warmed water. Not a good omen. The Lasagna we ordered was ok, but not of the level one would expect at a restaurant called Lasagna. Was it us? Were we ill? Any doubt was sent away once the Tiramisu dessert was served. I have tasted this familiar Italian dish all over the world—even in Norway!!!—so I have a good idea of what it’s supposed to taste like. In fact, given the disappointing food already mentioned, we thought we'll order Tiramisu. They can't ruin that, can they? But oh yes they can! The Tiramisu we were served was the most atypical example of the traditional dish that we have ever had. More like a glop of cream. The only excuse we could think of for the food was that it was so cold and the flu had spread so much across the city that perhaps the regular chef was absent. Service was extremely casual, which is a nice way of saying mostly absent. Odd considering the restaurant was barely attended. Prices were moderate, but not worth the bargain. As we were leaving and gathering up our coats to face the night freeze, the restaurant staff couldn’t have been more friendly.

We tried to find a place to eat in Time Square and it was crowded and over priced. So we decided to try somewhere closer to our apartment. Lasagna Ristorante didn't disappoint. We were sat at a lovely table with candle light in the middle. Our waiter was very attentive and brought us bread and wine. Our wine was generously poured for the value. I had the spaghetti carbonara and my husband had shrimp fettuccine. The food was delivered quickly and was well portioned. We couldn't finish it all even though we tried! I would love to visit again when in NYC.

I had dinner here after a performance at the nearby Joyce Theater. The place was empty when I arrived but soon filled up with tables too close to each other. In fact, the diners at my adjacent table spilled their drink and it splashed on my back. The waitstaff cleaned up my floor but did nothing else. I had to insist on another table. The minestrone soup was so-so; the special Hanukkah latke lasagna touted by my waiter was heavy and dry. Later, I ordered coffee but was served tea. My waiter claimed the kitchen staff was "stupid." Only after I had paid my $50 check and it was too late, the hostess told me about their membership where you could earn points and discounts. This was my first--and last--visit.

But I'm afraid this was the worst dining experience I've had in NYC for quite some time. Usually Italian restaurants are fairly decent but this one really wasn't. There were five of us and I'd say only one person was fairly satisfied with his meal. I ordered a scallop and shrimp dish and it was inedible--I had to send it back. I told our waitress it was possible the seafood had gone bad and they should taste it themselves. They replaced it with a pasta dish--but it was so mediocre. Flavorless. I'd made better pasta myself, the night before. My friend who ordered "special lasagna" also found it really mediocre, as did a friend who ordered meatballs. On top of that, service was really slow--we were trying to make a play down in the Chelsea neighborhood and everything came so slowly that we grew worried about whether we'd make it. We all agreed that it wasn't a restaurant we'd ever try again.

We got there early, about 5 pm (VERY early by NYC standards) so the service was excellent. Wife had Lasagna, I had pesco de mare. Both were excellent. Our waitress stood off to the side and watched her tables like a hawk. Just a nod to her and she was there in a "New York Minute". More like a New York Second. Very highly recommend.

We had lasagna and baked Zita. Was very good. My 15 yr old son said the Zita was the best he ever had and he's a pasta nut :) Price was what you expect in the city.

Was impressed we were sat right away at 5pm on a Friday. Stopped in before a show and had an affordable and perfectly portioned Italian dinner! I was with my family and each of us had something different. Mushroom risotto, veggie lasagna, saltimboca, frutti Di mare, egg drop soup (delish), mozzarella app. All were exceptional! The atmosphere was perfect for a family dinner or night out with girlfriends! The menu had all of your standard choices. I always love when they have seafood options. I added a pic of my dish (frutti Di mare). The service was super friendly and very attentive to refilling waters and clearing plates etc. check it out next time you are in town!

The ambiance (dim lights, pleasant music) and the service were wonderful in this restaurant. We sat at the window watching the city pass us by while we enjoyed the food. The chicken parm and the baked ziti were both delicious and the check was reasonable.

We have been to this restaurant several times and it never disappoints. We have vegetarian, pescatarian and carnivores in our family and we always have problem to satisfy everybody’s needs. This restaurant pleases everyone! Everybody loves their dishes so we make our family birthdays now in this restaurant and even introduced it to our other friends. I like the artichoke spinach lasagna, kids try different pastas , hubby likes the chicken Marsala, my parents love to try lasagna dishes and fish specialties. A warm environment and good service every time, highly recommend.

I have had dinner here twice now... basic Italian. The best thing that I can say is that the restaurant is located on a corner with big windows... great for people watching. The food is OK, and on my second visit, although the waitress was pleasant, she was hard to find at times... until I noticed her across the room tending bar, so she was obviously overwhelmed. If I am in that area again. I might stop in.

Saw this restaurant on the Food Network and decided to give them a try. The 4 cheese lasagna and the sausage w/ onion lasagna was cooked to perfection. Ordered the fresh homemade mozzarella with peppers and tomatoes it was excellent. In the Chelsea area in NYC? STOP here you won't be disappointed. I'll be coming back real soon.

To be honest it was borderline between average and very good but just didn’t make it to very good status. Took a long time to get service, drinks in particular seemed to take ages, the starters were a mixed bag — excellent fried mushroom, excellent mozzarella, average calamari (tomato sauce doesn’t go with calamari) — the mains were better with decent pasta and chicken dishes but a very odd moussaka with linguine baked into the dish. Wines average and expensive. Not sure I will return.
Good food, good staff
Had a Saturday night reservation for a large party all coming from outside of NYC. Half the group got there very early-no problem being seated. The other half of the group was very late-stuck in traffic. No problem from the staff about the delay, no pressure to buy mulitple drinks or order extra appetizers. When everyone was there service was good-professional and well paced. Most of the group had different lasagnas and all were happy. I had the shrimp and scallop lasagna-fra diavalo- VERY GOOD. For appetizers we shared fried calamari and the combination platter - done well, not at all greasy although both portions seemed a little small. The restaurant was noisey but somehow it never got loud enough to be a problem. Overall, a good dinner experience and a keeper.
