Brasseri with a nice huge outdoor area that might makes you have a little condone whit what is served. Not in any way at all unique in terms of menu or decor, so it wants to deliver when prices start to run away even for rather simple dishes. The inside is what made up that summer has blown over is in no way exciting, but pretty unremarkable. The noise level a notch above comfort

This restaurant is beautiful, especially on a sunny summer's day. You may sit outside among the greenery and fresh flowers or at a table indoors. Either way, it's a seat with a view. The restaurant is elegant and serene; great place to catch up with family or friends. The service was impeccable and the dishes were too. I came here for lunch with my aunt and uncle and from the entree to dessert, it was a 10. We ordered a bottle of white wine, the salmon filet, the sole, the profiteroles, and espresso. The presentation of each dish was beautiful and the flavours enchanted my tastebuds. Overall memorable experience!

We visited on a Sunday morning for brunch. The weather was perfect so we dined outside and could enjoy the views of the boats docked nearby and views of the city. The food was quite good - highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. The service was adequate but nothing special.

The Beaubourg's location is hard to beat on a nice day. Sitting out on the patio overlooking the Hudson River makes it easy to overlook the mediocre food. Our group of four had oysters and tuna tartare to start, followed by mussels, a frisée salad, langoustines a la plancha and a croquet Madame sandwich. The nice selection of oysters that were very fresh and bright were the highlight of the lunch. No complaints here! There were five medium sized grilled langoustines and a lemon on the plate and nothing more for $25. A bit pricey. The frisée salad - one of my favorite salads - was disappointing, with soggy croutons, teeny pieces of lardon, and a dressing that just wasn't very tasty. The mussels though, were a success - a large portion cooked in a very tasty broth! No complaints with the friendly service. Would return for a leisurely patio meal on a nice day! So hard to beat the setting!

I went to Beaubourg few days ago for celebrating a friend’s birthday. The location and the kind waitress are the only reason that made me give two stars, if I had to rate just the food I would give 0 stars. Everything we had was terrible and extremely overpriced (especially for the quality). Beside few dishes, the place can’t be considered a French restaurant and I strongly suggest to go somewhere else if you are looking not only for authentic French cuisine but also for just good food.

Fantastic ambience, location and food. Just beautiful. Eat outside if the weather is good. Salmon salad for lunch was outstanding.

Beaubourg has a wonderful atmosphere the views are great and you can sit outside to see the marina. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating The menu had some interesting items unfortunately they seemed to not live up to the expectation. I was disappointed for the price

The restaurant has a great view if seated outside. The wait staff however does not care for its clients. My husband ordered what he thought was a filet mignon, but couldn’t eat because he doesn’t like raw meat. He ordered a salmon instead and it was very good. What bothered us was that the server never returned to our table to ask if things were okay, if we wanted another drink or to bring us our bill, he sent another girl that worked there. He also charged us for the fries of my husband’s first plate. There are so many amazing restaurants to eat in New York I would not recommend this place.

4 of us went there for dinner. We ordered starters to share some big shrimps. They where okay but the lemon Cut out still had the sticker on it. For the main dish we ordered 2 steaks and 2 chicken menues but we only received 1 chicken due to mistanke in the kicthen. The service itselves was kind but it seems the kitchen has a problem.

We went to Liberty Bistro for brunch on February 20, 2022. The table setting was beautiful. I ordered hot tea with egg white goat cheese and asparagus omelette..The tea came in a white mug with a teabag Luke warm and nor in a teapot. The omelette was served in a nice white plate beautifully displayed with side spring green salad. However, one barely could taste the goat cheese and you needed a magnifying glass to see the asparagus. I guess you pay the price for a beautiful setting, location and ambiance.

The fact that after only 1 week I don’t remember the main course I had, means that it was not unforgettable... but I do remember that I had big expectations for the dessert (french pastry is supposed to be excellent) and I found it very average. Service was not very attentive

The pate lacked flavor but the burger was not bad and my friend's salad looked good. That's where the positives end and the negatives begin. The host was not welcoming, the waitress pushed liquor and was annoying, the garcon interrupted our conversation numerous times to ask if he could lift the table! Not sure why but everyone seemed to be in a hurry. I can understand being in a hurry if there are people waiting for tables but the place was 80% empty! Where's staff training?

The attention was very bad. We had a waiter who was rude and unwilling to serve. We had a very hard time about that. The view of the place at sunset is beautiful.

Had a brunch there and tasted the crepe and french bread. The food was nice and typically french. The views of the Hudson River are great.

My mother and I sat outside and gazed at the Statue of Liberty. Hard to beat this kind of view in Manhattan. Without the view, the review would be 'average'. The food is fine. Ditto, the service. If there is a table outside, grab it. I'll give the darkish dining room a try when it gets cold outside.

Beaubourg was a nice surprise. We went to visit the World Trade Center and decided to cross the street to check on Brookfield Place. We had heard about Le District, the French food hall at Brooksfield, but we did not know about Beaubourg. It was lunch time and we decided to get in. We felt as if we were in a parisian brasserie with a beautiful view of New Jersey and the Hudson river! The food was good; brasserie (not restaurant) style. Try the steak tartar. You won't regret.

Went here for drinks and ended up having a bite to eat... not fantastic food for the price, but the location is nice... would probably want to go back for lunch where you can enjoy the view. The Moules Frites weren't that great, kind of tasteless.

No smile, no commercials people, not a nice place, very expensive !!! Nothing is attractive !!! It’s may be better for the summer when every things is open, but it doesn’t change anything if the people are not good...

A beautiful June weekend. Outdoor seating under pergolas. Strolling families and tourists passing by. The Hudson River. I was so ready for this place to be one of those spots you take people to when you want to be the hero of brunch. Somebody my husband knows who knows food even recommended this place. So we made an OpenTable reservation for 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday. We arrived at the outdoor patio area, stood in a small line and then when it was our turn told the hostess we had OpenTable reservations and gave our name. She spoke into a little microphone clipped to her dress. I even specifically asked the hostess if they would make sure to credit our OpenTable account and she said they would and we were seated at a nice table for two under the pergola. A bottle of water and menus were delivered promptly. A really pleasant and energetic waitress came to take our drink orders -- I started with iced coffee and my hubby ordered an iced latte. We started talking about what a good place this would be to take friends who wouldn't think to come here. Then the coffees arrived -- my iced coffee and a HOT latte, so my hubby told the guy who delivered them that he ordered iced, so he took away the hot one. I asked for cream and the "delivery guy" gave me a little stainless steel pitcher. He left and I realized the pitcher contained boiling hot milk! So our waitress came back and was already aware about the latte and I told her about the milk. Then we ordered. Hubby got the croque madame and I went for the lobster roll. Inexplicably both of these items were listed as good for sharing -- I would say that they were not that large nor would they be in a format that would make sharing easy. Our really personable waitress suggested we share a side of fries with our entrees, so we agreed. Eventually hubby got his iced latte. I also ordered one of their special brunch cocktails, the L'Apres-Midi which was described as Samur Brut, Rothmans Creme de Abricot, Alain Milliat Apricot Nectar, fresh lemon juice and mint. Hubby's iced latte was good, my iced coffee was weak, and the special cocktail tasted like a warehouse club mimosa. Then our entrees arrived. Both had a side salad on the plate. Hubby's croque madame was good, with the right amount of cheese. My lobster roll was alright -- not that flavorful but fine. Our side salads were harsh and overly salty (even my hubby said so and he likes salt). Nobody came to check on us until after we had eaten our entrees, so we had nobody to tell that our fries never arrived. Eventually our waitress returned and we told her. She brought them as we sat with our used plates, telling us she'd take them off our bill. The fries were fine (strangely not that salty) and came with a tiny dish of ketchup (it would be nice for a French place to serve them with mayo or maybe a remoulade). When it was time to consider dessert, we weren't sure, but decided we might as well "complete our research." Our enthusiastic waitress said the creme brulee and the pot de creme were excellent, so we went for it. Both desserts were actually terrific -- nicely balanced, not too sweet or too intense. They were by far the highlight of the brunch. After we paid our bill as we were walking out, we thought that perhaps we would consider returning some evening just for dessert, if they would let us sit for just that. Our fairly frustrating and filled with missteps brunch was topped off by the fact that OpenTable sent us an email wondering why we didn't show up for our reservation!!!! This was even after I specifically inquired about making sure the restaurant registered our arrival, and clearly they did not. We filled out the form with OpenTable to tell them we indeed did make our reservation. One final misstep from a brunch filled with them.

Very large restaurant along the Hudson River, inside the facilities are clean, you are well seated with a relaxing atmosphere. Outside when weather permits it, you can enjoy a nice view on the river with confortable terrace. The foods are well prepared and prices remain reasonable.

The location of this restaurant - overlooking the water and next to the World Trade Center and 911 Memorial site - is an excellent spot! Friendly waitstaff and good food.

The food was wonderful! It was delicious and not at all greasy or overly Buttered etc. my husband had to French toast and I have no idea how they made it but it was fantastic! I had the egg croissant sandwich. I'm a bit of a health nut so I'm always wary of croissants but it was delicious and perfect. We sat overlooking the water as well so it was a pleasant view that added to the experience!

You cant beat the view and the service is spot on. Highly recommend the steak tartar and croque monsieur

A good place for a tasty lunch particularly in good weather so one can sit outside and watch the world go by. I really enjoyed a lobster roll. Good quality food but not the cheapest. Ok service. I would happily return.

Had a wonderful late lunch here, staff was very accommodating with our party with splitting dishes, etc. Food was terrific, prices reasonable, atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Would visit again!

Liberty Bistro is right on the water and you get great views of the harbor but the food is very pricey as are the drinks and frankly not everything was great. So we enjoyed the experience and the ambience but for that price we expected higher quality. Service was on the slow side.

We visited this restaurant as a family of 4. The bar area was packed with people . We were the first people in the restaurant for dinner but the service was indifferent . The food was distinctly average - nothing special about any of the dishes , my daughters burger /fries was just ok ,choucroute garnie was uninspiring and my main course of fish was dry and overcooked. No gluten free bread available - waiter was quite rude when I asked !

Ambience and vibe was nice outside, especially on a beautiful summer night. The food is hit or miss. We shared the octopus appetizer which was delicious. Steak tartare was so-so, and our mains were somewhat disappointing. Didn't mind so much because it was a lovely night dining outdoors.

Service is slow and terrible, labelling this "french food" is clearly misleading, food tastes bad and is overpriced. On top of that everyone gives you attitude and you have to wait 30 minutes after being seated for someone to take care of your orders.

Came across this lovely spot (which it is) en route to the one tower. Lovely setting and sat outside on comfy seating in 26 degrees heat - perfect. Until the service. We ordered a bottle of rosé which was on offer from $95 to $65 which was a great deal, until after our first drink was poured we didn't see the waiter again! Not once was our glasses topped up we had to top them ourselves. Unacceptable for a place of this calibre charging these prices. Once we ask for the check suddenly every waiter in site is available!! If NYC expects 20% tips you can at least pour a glass of wine!!!

This restaurant is located in Le District area of Brookfield Place. We entered it from the Battery Park side as we were dining outside. We were initially seated at a small table but asked the hostess if we could move, which she happily did. Service was a little slow to start but overall it was very good and the staff are very friendly. I ordered pasta with shrimps which as very tasty and plenty of prawns, my husband ordered tuna salad which was cooked perfectly. The Tarte Tatin is to die for. The food is very good and it really is a great place to people watch if sitting outside.

Having used the adjacent Le District for breakfast, we thought we'd try the `Beaubourg' for an evening meal. Having already had lots of meals comprising meat and potatoes I thought I'd have a change and go for the tuna nicoise salad and I wasn't disappointed. Perfectly dressed and presented, it was delicious. Others in my party had the New York strip steak and they said that too was delicious.

Convenient and chic . The food is yummy and not in Tyrannosaurus rex portions. The service is friendly, attentive and brisk.

The only good thing is the location. Everything else is poor. Food was poor (my croque madame was small and not good). Service was slow and mediocre. Ice tea was not home made. And everything ended up very expensive. Poor experience. Will not return.

My wife and I stopped there for lunch on Sunday after visiting the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. We were seated immediately. Our waiter did not come to our table at all for 20 minutes. He finally did bring us some water and took our order for drinks. Once we were waited on things moved along in a timely manner. I had a draft beer and a burger with fries, my wife had their salmon salad and a glass of wine. Without gratuity our bill came to $72.00. Now I realize we are in NYC. By the way, we were both pleased with our food

Had breakfast here whilst admiring the beautiful yachts in the marina. E cellent breakfast so went back again!

Food is quite good, atmosphere is lovely. The service is horrendous! There is absolutely no excuse for poor service. It happens sometimes, I get it. But at this place, it is par for the course. It took 20 minutes to get drinks, we had our cheese plate before the drinks arrived. I think the most ridiculous part of the experience is that the staff are not the least bit interested in being friendly or offering a pleasant dining experience. This is the fault of the management. Guess what - smiling and being friendly does not cost a thing! You are in a building filled with large corporations - do you not want more business? PLEASE train your staff!!!! Oh, and on the way out of the place, a waiter carrying water practically plowed me right over. Perfect way to top off the rude service. My food review would have been a 4.5 stars, service 1 star.

The service, food and ambience were superb!! My party was held in the outdoor space adjacent to the gardens with a view toward the Hudson River, everyone remarked on how lovely it was to be in the heart of NYC in such an exceptional location. Anna Vagner the Director of Events did a great job with planning and Jacob Daugherty the Manager and his team executed it flawlessly! Very please with the professionalism and personal touch of the Beaubourg staff, wonderful party, wonderful memory!

This is a great place if you're a large party as they have plenty of outdoor seating. The food is very reliable although the night we were there they had run out of several dishes. Our table faced the Hudson River and we enjoyed the sunset reflecting on the buildings in Jersey City. It's also a great spot to watch the boats and with a park in front it's a nice place for children to run around when they get bored at the table. The service was a bit rushed but our waiter was very friendly.

Was with a group of colleagues for an organized dinner. The location from the Financial District was good. The service was excellent wait ten was efficient but not intrusive, the muscle appetizer was absolutely outstanding. Having said that I had the hanger steak and it was terribly tough to the point that I couldn't eat it. Although I didn't complain, if I go back there I won't order it again. Colleagues who ordered fish and porch chops were very pleased with their meals. The steak was extremely disappointing.

Of course the location is amazing. You could be on any coastal waterway viewing yachts around the world. But that's definitely not it. The service and food were top notch. From the delightful salad dressed with vinaigrette with imported from Burgundy mustard to the pasta dishes and perfection of their Apple tartin this truly is an oasis into the countryside of France more than it is a touristy part of Brookfield Place.

We had been walking for hours when we decided to have lunch. It was pretty quiet in the restaurant, thought we’d try it anyway, The bread was fresh and tasty. Our food was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast of Benedict's with house potatoes. Service was very nice. Manager and staff were so friendly and attentive. Lovely way to start the day.

They have a massive outdoor area and a noisy indoor bar. If you sit in the indoor restaurant section, you won’t get much attention May to October. The servers also suffer from the epidemic across NYC restaurants: the congenital inability to recognize an empty wine glass. They’ll bring your first-course glass when they take your order and you’ll never see your server again. By the time your entree comes, someone will ask if everything is ok, and you’ll inform them that your wine glass has been empty since you finished your appetizer 15 minutes ago. “Oh, would you like another glass of wine?” It’ll come when you’ve got two bites of your entree remaining. Why do NYC restaurants hate selling alcohol so much? I thought this was how most successful restaurants made their money. The food is good here. The service is bad and the wine is downright scarce. Do yourself a favor and ask them to bring your entree glass when they bring your first course. This way you won’t have to drink water with your delicious hanger steak.

We accessed the restaurant via the "food court" and the Le Bar, so the actual restaurant came as a complete surprise. Service was excellent and the food was really good. The lamb t-bone was cooked to perfection and the salad with endive and dried cherries was very fresh. An outpost in Midtown would be really good!!

When the hostess and the manager do not smile at you--bad sign. When you tell the manager that the dessert is missing one of its main ingredients and he just takes it from you, goes to the kitchen, comes back with the missing ingredient now there, seats it down in front of us and walks away without a word--bad sign. On the other hand, our waitress was quite attentive, the French bread quite fresh, and the cocktails well done. I had the lemon fettuccine, which was quite tasty. My daughter had the hangar steak and unlike the other reviewer's experience, it was a delicious entree with the sides of fingerling potatoes and asparagus being tasty, also. But that dessert--yuck! We ordered the "five layer chocolate cake with fresh raspberries." The whipped cream was done to perfection--not too sweet, nice and thick. However, the cake was DRY. It was served with one blackberry, one blueberry and one raspberry. We thought that since the cake was dry and the dessert listing said "fresh raspberries, that it must be intended to come with lots of raspberries to offset the dryness. The manager brought it back with about 5 more raspberries, not enough to offset the dryness. So we ate the tasty icing and left the cake. Definitely, in experience, not worth the price.

Didn’t have any plan to go here at first place, however spontaneously decided to sit down because of the location with incredible view! The fries was delicious with homemade apple cider plus those ravioli! I am glad to pop by here, definitely will come back!

Jerome was accommodating to my team's request and was very easy to work with. He originally reserved seats for us with a great Hudson River view. Unfortunately, it was hot and humid outside so he sat us indoors which was a lot more comfortable for everyone.

After visiting the 9/11 Memorial we decided to go to lunch. We wanted a French Restaurant and we wanted to stay in the area. We started with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc for me $15 and Rose for the others $12, remember this is New York. We all had the Moules Frites (mussels in wine sauce) $21 They were delicious but why they were served with each of us getting a bowl of french fries we are still trying to figure out. We had a very attentive waiter so no complaints. If we are ever in the area again we will return.

The restaurant is in a lovely position with views over a small marina and the interior is bright & inviting with an upscale feel so we were actually looking forward to trying the food and having a nice brunch but alas we didn't get the chance to eat. We sat down and ordered some cosmopolitans and a bottle of wine. The cosmopolitans came and although not the best they were quite drinkable. When the wine arrived the first time, it was the wrong bottle so we sent it back. The second time, it was the correct bottle but when the waitress opened it and poured a sample for me to taste (about 1 shots worth) I said that the wine was off and tasted horrible. The simple thing to do in this situation (for the restaurant) is to accept that the wine is not good and offer either a replacement or a different wine as generally it does not cost the restaurant any money (all they have to do is tell the supplier) but in this case the waitress got a manager to come over (who obviously knows nothing about wine) and he said that there was nothing wrong with the wine (even though it smelled like sherry and was clearly oxidised) and that I had to purchase the wine. It took me half an hour of arguing with the manager and eventually I left and only paid for the cosmopolitans. I suggest the staff (and in this case the manager) need to go on some customer service and wine courses. It is the first and only place I have ever had bad customer service in the downtown part of New York so I would have to say that I don't recommend going.

I was very excited by the idea of having a nice lunch in a French Cafe. I did not see much of the inside as I sat near the door by the window. On a positive note the young French waitress was very nice and efficient. My food was very good (Croque Monsieur and dessert) but what I did not like at all was the outrageous price I paid for what was in truth a simple lunch. I will probably not be back in that brasserie.

Had lunch al fresco on an unexpectedly mild March day. Excellent french fare reasonably priced. Try the Croque Monsieur (good, but not as good as the version served at Braserie Ruhlmann) and the Lobster salad with bacon. The salad comes on toasted french bread, open faced and is very satisfying; no small portions here. The ratatouille is also a winner.

Went here after visits to 9/11 museum in spectacular new WTC mall - in back of very cool French market (Le District) and had very nice meal with terrific service - very good salmon and steak entries and the appetizer (goat cheese soufflé) and desert (brioche/ pecan / cranberry bread pudding) were spectacular.

The whole area down there is a trip. Stunnningly beautiful but constructed all at once and still somewhat monolithic for my tastes. Beoubourg is a sit down joint within the Eately like Le District. I was there for breakfast - not the most reliable sampling. At 9a it was empty save one or two other tables. In the summer probably lovely to sit outside. I had ok coffee. Oatmeal with cranberries and banana slices? Serving did not come with side of milk or brown sugar. Fail 1 and 2. Server was pleasant. Place was clean. Looked over the top expensive... Not sure I'd go back if not on a company credit card.

After touring the observatory and 9/11 museum, we were ready for lunch. Several folks recommended the Brookfield Mall and I was a little skeptical because I'm not interested in shopping and figured it would be one franchise after another for food. After following directions to get here (short walk and connected by a walkway from Museum, we were greeted by a concierge who directed us to the "food court" - I put that in quotes because it's a pretty high end eatery with lots of choices. But we were tired and just wanted to be waited on so were relieved to see this restaurant - the other venues are stations where you select your entrees and then find a place to eat. We totally enjoyed the restaurant - sat by the river with a great view, "Midwest friendly" staff (or could it be that New Yorkers ARE friendly!!) and an interesting menu. I got salad nicoise w/ pan seared tuna and it was perfect. Everyone in our party of 7 was pleased with their meal as well. Only complaint was that the wait staff never came back to check on our meals so one person never got their beverage. Imagine this place is VERY busy in the summer so you might want to go at an "off time" but would definitely go back again.

Wonderful French menu and a great location over looking the water across from the WTC. The Steaks are amazing and a good wine menu!

Good food, nice view, great service and some well made drinks made for a really nice night with a great atmosphere. We sat outside on a particularly nice weather evening. Certainly worth a visit.

We randomly walked into this location because we had little time to have a meal before visiting the One World Observatory. The waiter was kind and undesrtood our rush to order our meal. He was amazing! The food is delicious and the restaurant space is really lovely and quite roomy as compared to most restaurants in NYC. You walk through Le District and enter the restaurant through the bar area. I had the steak frites and my son had the burger. Both dishes was amazing. A bit pricey but worth it.

I often get breakfast here and sometimes a quick evening meal after flying across country. The food is usually fairly decent. The staff, on the other hand, including the host and wait staff, can be totally indifferent or worse. Whoever runs Le District needs to pay attention because this reflects poorly on the entire food court operation.

Good food, great that you can see your food and choose what you would like. Good vibe and service is good. It’s very busy and crowded. Good selection of meat, salads and seafood. Worth a visit! It’s not cheap though for a walk in!

The area is hip and the views are beautiful. It can get crowded and noisy, but it is worth visiting. I sat outside along the riverwalk to enjoy the view; ordered a beer and snacks at a high top. I had the 6 piece escargots an the grilled octopus salad. The escargot was buttery and only on the mild side for garlic. There were 3 generous sized pieces of octopus on a bed of lettuce. The seasoning was lightly salted and I added some good olive oil for a little extra pop. Service was difficult because that they had a large party and there were many after hours people drinking. The music can be loud inside and I would suggest outside seating if at all possible. The food was better than expected and you can't beat the views.

My wife ordered clams. They came raw. When she mentioned to the server that she couldn't eat raw seafood, the server said it was on the side of the menu that was titled "raw". We asked for a menu so she could order something else. The menu didn't have a caption for "raw". The description said nothing about the clams being served uncooked. So she ordered a shrimp cocktail. It came as three shrimp on a small plate with a small container of cocktail sauce. I have never seen a shrimp cocktail served that way. My halibut was served at the same time as her raw clams. So I finished eating before my wife got her shrimp cocktail. My halibut was ok but quite small. The dinner left me hungry. I had to buy a slice of pizza on the way to our hotel. Will not eat there again.

After a morning sight seeing we decided to go for lunch from theoutside this place lookd just the ticket however we were disappointed The food is expensive and the portion size is somewhat lacking and served only just warm, the staff are helpful but not overly friendly Not a place I would recommend

Beautiful view on a nice day. Sitting on the patio is reminiscent of cafes in Paris. Food was good, service was a little slow but the taste of the food made up for it.

For Mother's Day I received a Visa gift card to spend as I pleased, but being here in New York for a month, my daughter suggested my husband and I spend it for dinner in Le District, specifically at Beaubourg. We arrived promptly at 7 for a reservation made in person earlier in the day and asked to be seated outside. It was an unusually warm day for May and we chose to enjoy the fresh air. For that request, we were asked to wait for about 15 minutes in the bar. The very pleasant hostess took us through the maze of diners to the far corner. All seats outside have a filtered view of the water, with glimpses of the Hudson through trees and boats. Our waiter Phillip came over immediately to offer us water and menus and take our drink orders. We looked over the rather small selections on the menu while we sipped our wines, mine, a Riesling ($12) and husband's a Cabernet Franc ($14). The choice was simple for me....anything containing lobster! I ordered the Lobster Frisette ($25) which is french pasta with chunks of maine lobster, mixed with gruyère and parmesan cheeses. Essentially lobster mac and cheese. My husband opted for the French Onion soup ($12) to start followed by the Filet au Poivre ($45). The Filet is prepared with a peppercorn sauce and served with potato gratin and french beans. The service was a bit "prolonged" which was understandable considering the crowd on this Friday night but we were happy to sit and watch the people, the sunset and munch on the bread and butter placed on the table earlier. The soup was delivered in about 20 minutes, not bad, and about 30 minutes later, our entrees arrived looking positively scrumptious. My lobster frisette was served in a casserole dish, pipping hot and containing a fair amount of lobster. My husband's filet was sufficiently tender, however the peppercorn sauce was overwhelming. "Very peppery"...so much so that he had to scrape some off to enjoy the meal. On the good side, the potatoes were tasty as were the green beans. The entire meal with two glasses of wine, french onion soup and two entrees came to $118. Considering the view, the special occasion and the fact that it's New York City, not too bad. There are no doubt better French restaurants and/or steak houses in New York in the same price range.

4 of us had lunch here. The lunch and dinner menus are the same. The Bouillabaisse was the best we've had outside of France for value and taste. Loads of seafood: lobster, large scallops, fish, mussels and a delightful soup base. The river views are great and made our quiet lunch away from the crowds more enjoyable. Service was also very friendly. Most visitors may not even know this restaurant is here as it is tucked away behind the food market.

My husband & I ate here on whim. We had gone to the 911 Museum & wanted to eat lunch outside to enjoy the scenery & water. We had no reservations; however, we did not have to wait to be seated. We arrived there about 1:30. The service was great, as was the food. We highly recommend eating here.

Looking for a lighter lunch and discovered Beaubourg in le District. We both had the smoked salmon plate and it was delicious. Polina our waiter was absolutely amazing! Very polite and attentive. Excellent experience!

The location is superb right by the World Trade Centre Marina. The food strives for French and somewhat succeeds. The steak tartare is good, but heavy on the tartar sauce. The mahi mahi special was tasty but dry. My companions said the burgers were good and the croque madame received a thumbs up. The service was friendly but rather slow, and they screwed up my son's order. I'd look farther afield next time I'm downtown.

We had a great small dinner here for my sister's birthday. The service was attentive and very friendly- they understood right away this was a special night for us. The food was wonderful. Mushroom pasta, niscoise salad and goat cheese appetizer were faves and I saw the diner next to me devour steak frites (and I might have been a little jealous). Chocolate ice cream, berries and champagne sealed the celebration. What a treat to have such wonderful food and exceptional service right around the corner in battery park.

We went for the Bastille day moulin rouge event which was very unorganized Had a raffle said you had to be there by 7 got there by 7 no raffle show started at 830 so you have to order food and drinks while you waiting Asked the waiter by 8 when the raffle starts said he didn’t they were delaying it Finally show started and finished still no raffle Asked a mgr who said they texted the winner since they had a microphone issue WHAT Anyway kinda got scammed

The food is pretty ordinary, sizes are small, not well prepared, and the prices are big. Wine is also expensive and you can not buythe bottle just a carafe that make them even more expensive. Service is good. Toilettes are dirty and lack basics as paper towels to dry your hands. Only the view is to recommend. Typical tourist place.

We were over at the 9/11 Memorial and needed to stop and collect ourselves. This spot used to be a small restaurant by the North Cove Harbor. Now it's a much larger collection of mini-markets with Beaubourg Brasserie as a sit-down restaurant. Though the lunch menu is limited to salads, 2 sandwiches and an omelet, we decided to try it. Our omelets were very good, with goat cheese and bits of asparagus. They came with a small salad and toast. The restaurant was quiet compared to the bustle of the mini-markets which are grab & go.

Nice restaurant for lunch. The croque monsieur with salad was very good as was the lobster sandwich. Service is good and the atmosphere very nice.

Keep your money and go elsewhere. Way overpriced for the quality of food. Very cramped and the standard of service was pathetic. The only thing this place has going for it is the setting. It was only after having my steak served to me that I realised I had no steak knife took 5 mins to get the attention of staff to get one. I also sat for another 5-10 mins without a drink before I could again get the attention of staff to get one. The staff should keep an eye on these things. Also the fries served with the steak were skinny frozen fries. I would have expected some hand cut proper fries for the money. I usually always tip generously. My tip this time reflected the lousy service. Up your game Beaubourg or you're only going 1 way. So much potential there considering the location

We ordered a burger and a lobster roll which came with a garden salad, I asked if I could swap the garden salad for baby spinach, which I didn't think was unreasonable as it came as an accompaniment to another dish on the menu, so it wasn't like I was ordering something that they didn't have, I was told that substitutions were not permitted, and that my choice was either garden salad or fries, I didn't fancy fries, so I asked again if I could possibly just have spinach, Shaun, our poor waiter said that he would ask the chef to see if it was possible to swap the salads, but it probably not be possible, he returned about 3 minutes later saying that it was not in fact possible at which point I got really annoyed and asked to speak to the manager, saying that I found it completely outrageous that one green salad could not be swapped for another, and that the garden salad should it arrive on my plate was not going to be eaten and therefore was going to be put in the bin, what a waste of good food! Shaun appeared back and I don't know how he managed it, but there was baby spinach on my plate, he was so apologetic , and did everything he possibly could to make sure that the rest of our stay was enjoyable. This is a lovely restaurant, the food was really good, the service was super, but if the Management / chef are not willing to allow customers to make reasonable substitutions with their orders then we probably would not bother going back, this is 2017, and food waste is not cool.

This place clearly only lives on tourists. It is very crowded, under-staffed and loud. The staff seems to be incapable of remembering orders and runs back and forth empty handed - very inefficient. Moreover, there are several security guards marching up and down outside the restaurant - it's not entirely clear if they are hired to protect the guests or to make sure everyone pays the cheque - it feels very uncomfortable.

Initially you think French - stuffy place, this is a great place to come for food drink and to hang out. Location is great and now with the transit hub open fully really easy to get to, There are hidden gems on the menu that really surprise you like the Lobster dish which can best be described as Lobster mac and cheese was more lobster tail than anything else. The oysters are always good. Ordering champagne by the glass get the Moet Rose as its really 2 glasses. Just a nice place to come and enjoy the summer afternoon.

Worst service I had in quite a while. Food is ok... the only reason this place survives is due to the massive amount of tourists in this area. There is nothing french about this joint.... #crap #keepaway

Lunch for two, there are both casual as well as formal dining areas. Very very friendly staff, 100% for effort albeit 80% on achievement (a few small blunders). We started with fresh oysters, and then had the chef’s daily fish and sole ‘meuniere’ accompanied by baby spinach and ratatouille nicoise. Finished with a crème brûlée and a Castelnau Suiduiraut 2011. Lovely Friday lunch ambience and experience. Will certainly revisit when in the area.

The staff was warm and helpful. Our drinks were unusual and delicious, and the sampler plates were great to share. I want to come back for the seafood our neighboring table ordered--that looked delicious. Surprisingly quiet and spacious.

Menu is not particularly big but you're there more for the location next to the marina. Salmon and vegetables was fine. Sit and relax on these warm October nights

Dined outside and loved the vibe. Food and drinks are continually solid and even service was a bit better this time around. The servers are friendly but obviously stressed as I feel they are stretched a bit thin in their coverage area. I will most certainly be back.

Great position overlooking the Hudson bot food only ok and very busy. $75 plus tip for a couple of sandwiches and drinks. Enjoyed it for the view.

I had the New York steak and fries. The steak was over cooked and grisly and the fries were so so . My husband had the duck ravioli. Neither meal was very good.

We stopped by for a late lunch on a bitterly cold day in early April (no outdoor seating, of course, but the outdoor section of this restaurant looked very inviting, if only the weather cooperated), and sat at a table next to the window looking out. As a typical brasserie, the tables were crowded together and we couldn't help but overhear the conversations at the tables around us. Didn't bother us, but probably not the place to go to discuss an important business deal. The fare was also typical for a brasserie - we both had an excellent frisee salade aux lardons ($14 each), and my wife also had the first rate vegetable soup ($9). I had a very good cappuccino ($5). The staff was professional and efficient in a fairly crowded restaurant. The quality of the food, the location, and the service fully justified the price. I think that those recent reviewers who criticized the prices here are just unfamiliar with New York prices. Highly recommended.

It was our first night in New York and we were looking forward to going here as it was inside Le District, Brookfield Place. It looked a very nice restaurant although on reflection we realised it was empty apart from two women. We ordered our meal, my husband had mussels to begin which were very good and I had lobster soup which was so watery it was quite horrible. For our entree we both had Lemon Sole Almondine which we both agreed was below average as the sole, one again, was watery with the almonds not attached but swimming in the plate. The sole was accompanied with mash and french beans. My husband had a beer and I had a glass of wine. The bill came to $130. Needless to say we didn’t return. What a shame this could be a beautiful restaurant as it commandeers a great spot.

On our first morning we went to WTC and got hungry afdter a while we walked across the WTC Plaza and saw that builing on the other side. Expöoring that builing we found a nice restaurant. We decided to have breakfast here. Nice scrambled eggs Bread , bacon , sausage coffie very nice breakfast , nice location.

This restaurant in the World Financial Center offers great outdoor seating with a view of the marina. Wonderful people watching. We had a Sunday brunch there. The service was indifferent and slow. The Eggs Benedict was downright poor. I would recommend it for a drink, but not dining.

Truly French. The service (David) was excellent, the dishes interesting and authentic, and the ambience was very comfortable. The inside/outside thing was very nice giving a welcoming tone to the whole property. This is a fully priced New York experience, but the value is there and you will not feel ripped off. They have all the trendy new cocktails. Enjoy!

Beautiful view and that's about it. We ordered a few different meals, but nothing was really good. We ordered the salmon, back bass and the tuna salad. Non of them are good. Also the tuna appetizer was boring and quite flavorless.

This restaurant is located in the perfect location but sadly that is all that is good about it. We were so excited to have dinner here to end a lovely day. Our dining experience started off terribly with our waitress and only got worse. Our waitress was quite possibly the rudest waitress we have ever had. She was not friendly or personable in the slightest - she actually seemed to be annoyed to even have to take our orders. She didn't say anything to us other than "what do you want to order" - not even a "hi" upon coming over to our table. Our food was delivered by another staff member and our waitress never once came to check to see how everything was. We actually never saw her again until the table next to us had to flag her down so they could pay their bill after waiting a long time as well. I then asked her to pay our bill too because we weren't sure when she would ever come back again. I could see if the place was completely packed and she was running around, but this was not the case. As for the food - it is way over priced for what you get, just a basic meal that shouldn't be over $12. There are no vegan options, no bread or anything served before your meal like any other place that you'd pay over $100 to eat dinner at. The icing on the cake was my spouse ended up with food poisoning from the salmon he ate... or from the pasta side salad that was half warm, half cold (we weren't exactly sure what it should have been). He was violently ill on our way home, it was awful. We definitely would not ever return and hope people read reviews before trying this place.

What a beautiful surprise! The restaurant is on the water. The staff is attentive but they do not rush you. Our brunch was very good. I highly recommend the fries! I will definitely return. This was a wonderful escape from the hustle of NYC. Great scenery, nice presentation and tasty food.

We enjoyed dropping by this restaurant for a delicious glass of wine and a goat cheese soufflé. So much fun to eat and watch the passers by in a beautiful area.

Food is way overpriced. It would pay those prices if the food was as good as the price would make it out to be. Not many people eating here. More people drinking at the bar. That should have been a sign about the food. The tuna tartare was average. A little fishy. The drinks from the bar were great. My server was nice. Its just not very reasonable to charge that amount and the food isnt very good.

We came for a late lunch. Dirty seats. Dirty glasses. Rude waitress. $26 for a soggy salad with a tiny, flavourless steak on the side. Despite the great location, it is not worth spending money here. Very good bread though.

I have been here several times and the place gets worse every time. I came for a drink and dinner last night. The service was terrible. The staff couldn't care less, they were slow and rude. I guess they get so many tourists they just don't care, it certainly felt like that. The music is trashy and too loud, even outside, and the biggest disappointment was the food. The oysters were inedible and tasted like they had just come out of a sewer, made me feel sick. They serve them with just vinegar now, no chopped onions or Tabasco which gave me the impression the chef cared even less than the waiters. When I complained I just got a surley shrug from the waiter as he walked off. There are better places to eat around the corner where the staff have a better attitude and the food doesn't taste like something you'd flush down the toilet. That was my last visit to Liberty Bistro and if you value your health I'd advise you not to bother.

Worst hamburger in NYC and extremely mediocre for the price, it doesn’t worth it for the food, just for drinks and the ambience.

This was a delightful and convenient place to meet for brunch with family who were coming in from across the river in NJ. Full bar, delicious food, great service, and plenty of sunlight or a view.

My wife and I went last night. Although the place is normally packed, we had no trouble getting a reservation and a table at a half-filled restaurant. The service was very prompt and efficient, and the food was good. The view is amazing, too. Incidentally, everyone was outside, but the indoor seating is really lovely. My guess is that we easily got a table because it was a Monday night when rain was expected.

The food was excellent and so too was the accompanying wines. A few grumbles let the place down. For such a large restaurant there were only two restrooms which meant an inevitable queue. You need to figure this out management. Also I felt it was a bit over priced all round.

Great food and service in an idyllic atmosphere if you have an outside table on a nice day. Recommend the mussels and the banana crepes.

Great location on the Hudson, with a good menu. Service and atmosphere were very nice. It was hopping and packed for lunch by 1 PM on a Friday. The pate was nice, as was the steak frites. The moules frites were so-so. Not bad, but the lemony sauce was not as tasty as many Belgian restaurants in the city that favor a more buttery sauce. They have a nice wine, beer and cocktail list. It was a good experience, but I'm in no hurry to rush back.

Absolutely delicious food and spectacular view!Stuff is very friendly and professional!Im strongly recommended for my friends that place.

Beaubourg opens early. Grab a seat outdoors with a lovely view of North Cove and the NY harbor, order the good coffee or a cap, add a fresh orange juice and a sweet or something more substantial and enjoy the friendly service! This comes highly recommended by me (who is very particular and lives in Manhattan!).

I’ve been there in a business lunch celebrating a deal with a few friends. I liked the restaurant because it has a great view, it is inside the Le District, a kind of French Eataly. Nice place to walk around before lunch or dinner and buy something to bring home. Anyway, the food is good although not exceptional. But the atmosphere of the restaurant, with a great view to Hudson River and nice wine menu. I chose a Chateneuaf du Pape 2005 that was great for a fair price ($170). The entreé of oyster, shrimp and lobster was just a perfect match. The ribeye was good but not out of the charter. I would come back for the whole picture.

I went three times to the restaurant... actually, let me correct myself. I went once: good food, little pricey, great view, service was ok. I tried to be served twice: there wasn’t nobody where should have a hostess (inside the le district), entered the terrace wait around 10 min and nobody appears to seat us, ask anything. You can go there, if they note you, you can grab good drinks a great view and a poor service.

The N.Y. Strip steak was Devine. As was the Malbec. Great place to lunch in the financial district and 9/11 area.

My friend and I had tickets for the sunset ride up to the observation deck at One World Trade. We had been walking all day and wanted a bite to eat and were told about this place by someone in a nearby shop. This is right on the water and on one side had a beautiful garden full of beautiful blooming tulips. We had had a large lunch and just wanted a snack so each ordered a glass of wine and shared the cheese plate which was delicious. Even though it was before 4:00 it was crowded and we had to wait a few minutes for a table but it was worth it.

I wish I'd seen some of these reviews before going here. Overpriced, terrible service and very cramped. Took so long to take a drink order, we should have left. Longer then to take food order and for it to arrive. We sat beside 3 other tables of couples, almost hitting elbows with them we were so close. No chance of a private conversation or enjoying the view, which is the only good thing about this place. Despite all of us arriving at different times all orders were taken at the same time as it was the only time the waiter came over. Despite being there first and only ordering mains, the couple beside us were served first. I ordered croque monsieur, very small portion served with green salad that wasn't even fresh. My husband had steak, no steak knife given and took about 10-15 minutes to get someone's attention to get one. Left without a drink for longer. The place was so busy but no excuse for such terrible service. Don't be fooled by how busy it is!

I have visited this restaurant several times and have always loved it. The service is impeccable the atmosphere fabulous and no matter what season you visit it is always spectacular. I always take my friends when they are visiting New York too le district and visiting the Beaubourg restaurant for cocktails and they are fabulous escargot, is a tradition For us. Well there are many other things on the menu and everything we have tried is wonderful this is a favorite, it is a French classic, and it is hard to find done properly. We recently visited to discover to our great disappointment that escargot has been removed from the menu and would no longer be available. We have been looking forward to it all morning and will greatly disappointed. Instead we have the French onion soup and the steamed mussels. The French onion soup had a nice broth and the cheese was done correctly which is one thing that many people don't do. They often use the wrong kind of cheese and it's too stringy. This one was done perfectly. I will say they could have caramelized the onions a bit longer to get the broth a bit better and you did not taste the flavor of Sherry in the broth. My husband is a chef and he makes excellent french onion soup but the trick is in taking your time with caramelized The Onion and using just the right amount of the correct Sherry. The broth is everything! Many cooks don't have the patience to take their time and correctly carmelize the onions which can be quite time-consuming. To your average customer it may not make a difference but to somebody who really knows french onion soup you can tell right away. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give their French onion soup a generous seven. It could be better. The steamed mussels were excellent. This is a dish that is always a bit of a gamble because if you get one bad mussel it will ruin the entire experience. And most places I have had two steamed mussels and a marinara sauce with white wine, that is good but this was entirely different. There's was done in a delicious onion and butter sauce with diced carrots and parsley and a bit of wine with a few Tomatoes diced up tiny throughout. They are served in great big Steamer pots and were absolutely delicious. They serve with two small pieces of bread with cheese melted on top. I had to ask for a baguette because the delicious sauce that was left after eating all the steamed mussels was too good to waste. You really need a generous Bread Basket to soak up all that delicious off. The burger and fries were excellent with a great stick homemade burger cooked to Perfection and french fries that were thin and crispy and delicious. Bryce was our server and he was spectacular. I have never had a bad experience with service anywhere in le District. The service is always excellent and if the weather permits you can sit outside and observe the Beautiful port and view of the river and the lovely skylines. The district will always be a favorite for me but since it was the one place I knew that I could go to get good escargot that was really what kept me coming back. There are lots of fabulous restaurants in New York with great service great food and a great View. It was the escargot for me that set this place apart from all the rest and kept me coming back again and again and again with all of my visitors and guests. Now we will have to search for a new place that has escargot and I don't know that will be returning to le District for the Beaubourg restaurant as often as we had before. It's always such a disappointment when you find something fabulous that you like and they take it away. Still for other visitors who are not looking for escargot I would highly recommend this restaurant. The service is great the views are wonderful the atmosphere stupendous and the food is always reliably well-prepared and well presented.

Airy and bright, nice staff. Had the country pate, which was hearty and paired well with the citrusy salad. Very tasty Bloody Mary. The other stalls and counters in Le District are very welcoming and great for indulging. Bistro done right.

My wife and I dropped in here for lunch after our visit to Ground Zero. Excellent food and service. I highly recommend. It’s just a 10 minute walk to view the Statue of Liberty and shopping is close to.

Our table of four slipped in out of the rain to enjoy adult beverages and delicious lunch mid-day. We enjoyed it so much we stayed for happy hour! Yumminess overload! Great service, never rushed, friendly staff.

To finally have some nice weather made it imperative for me to sit outside and enjoy the view. The Beaubourg was definitely the place to do it. With so many choices to eat at the Brookline this place caught my attention mostly because of the view. That being said, the food did not disappoint. My only suggestion is that there should be more wait staff. My waiter was amazing in spite of having too many tables to accommodate. He was hurried but never made me feel rushed.

Great food and terrific service. We especially enjoyed the branzino and the kale cesar. The view was the icing on the cake!

Visited this restaurant for an al fresco meal following an emotional half hour at the World Trade Centre Memorial, which is literally "just round the corner". We were lucky to get a table, which speaks volumes for any eatery, but service did suffer a little for that. The meal was good, but pricey - the prices commanded, I suspect, by making the most of the fantastic location.

a nice place within brookfield place food hall. went there for a quick lunch. salad was quite nice and well dressed.

We were walking around with 2 kids. We needed something to eat. This place was hip and happening. We thought "this is a place to hang out and the food is too fancy for kids". We loved it. The atmosphere was great. The food was seasoned and tender. Pleasantly tasteful. The kids loves their meal too. The staff was very nice to us.

I was here about a year ago and most recently came back and brought my wife this time. It was a beautiful day and we felt enjoying a glass of wine along the riverside would be nice. But the service (once again) was horrible! When I was here last, service wasn’t very good. On this particular trip, we were sat and waited and waited for someone to come greet us, but no one did, so I told the hostess. We waited several more minutes and then got up and left. The service at this outdoor bar is simply poor and beyond ridiculous!

This restaurant is quite deceptive as it seems like a little bistro that flows into the bar. However, if you keep walking past the bar, you walk right into this beautiful dining room that overlooks the harbor. It is breathtaking! We were in a bit of a hurry because we had a plane to catch, but the server accommodated us without any problem. I ordered the French toast with a side of scrambled eggs. This French toast was so delicious! The portion size was huge! The eggs were cooked to perfection, but the serving was quite large, too. My husband and I could have easily split one dish. My husband ordered the eggs with sausage and bacon. He also enjoyed his dish, but the portion size was quite large. I love being surprised by large portions!

After leaving the 9/11 Memorial site I walked over to Brookfield Place and since it was already 11:30 PM everything was closed, but Beaubourg. I stumbled onto the counter and asked the bartender if I could have a beer. He served me the beer and we chatted for awhile. Very friendly young man. Of course we exchanged names as we chatted, but I can not remember his. Old age forgetfulness. There were three or four gentlemen by the edge of the bar. When it was time to leave and I passed by the group I said" Good Night Gentlemen, and they all turn and said good bye. It's a nice spot. Location is perfect with a great view of New York Bay. I have not eaten here, but at the restaurant behind it. Similar French fare. Next time I will come and have lunch here to enjoy the view and a nice meal.

My husband and I dined here for breakfast this morning. Food was delicious. Service and ambience was perfect. Very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended

We had a birthday brunch at this place and got 100% satisfied. Great place, good service, tasteful food. Kind of pricey, but well worth every penny.

"Overprice and Underdeliver" - this isn't exactly a phrase that is designed to appeal, but, for some fairly obvious reasons, it's the motto of most of the restaurants in/around the Financial District where the Masters of the Universe reign. Part of the "Le District" french food hall, this resto is pretty much the epitome of the creed, delivering on poor service, amazingly expensive wines, and mediocre (at best) food. Then again, the views are stellar - both of the Hudson/NJ, and of the people as they go by...

Went there for restaurant week. Restaurant was VERY noisy. More like a bar than a restaurant. They offered to seat us in a "quieter" area but it was just as noisy. Food was ok...not great. Service was fair. My g/f asked for her appetizer with dressing on the side...but they put it on the appetizer. They replaced it but then didn't include ANY dressing. Service was slow also.

We chose a perfect day to sit outside to enjoy lunch after visiting the 9:11 museum and memorial. The hostess could have been more welcoming and made an unnecessary fuss about finding us a table in the shade. We both had the tuna salad nicoise which was quiet good though needed more dressing. The bread was very good. Service was quick. Probably not the best restaurant in the area but we enjoyed it.

Had breakfast here on our first day in New York. Food was superb. Service was excellent the waitresses couldn't be more helpful. It was so good that we went back to the Le District area after visiting the 9/11 Memorial for lunch in another restaurant. If you are in the area try this restaurant for breakfast you won't be let down. the smells from all the other selling points get the taste buds going.

Happy Hour - we had Le District Trio and Warm Goat Cheese Salad. Both equally delicious and generous. Beer we had Kronenbourg and Chimay Red which are rare to find in most regular French bistros. Remy Martin was nice but pricey! I am sure the outdoor is fun with spectacular Hudson river scene but weather didn't permit us. We will try next summer. Still, the ambiance was great. Well decorated and well disciplined staff.

Went to see the Observatory and 9/11 memorial, and happened upon this place by accident. I enjoyed an everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomato, capers, red onion, and an excellent espresso. Our waitress was a little brusque and not very patient about answering others' questions at my table, but we were all pleased with our food and didn't mind that she mostly left us alone. We were there at a brunch-type time of about 10:30-11am, so the place was not crowded or loud.

Nice location BUT: -less then average food (nothing creative) you could bake the same at home -service: mediocre (a bunch of idiots serving) Pasta soft. Faaaaar from aldente a magma of sauce -chicken, you could roast yours at home ..... Seriously Please don't go Don't waste your money Please see my other reviews You will understand how reliable I am:)

Had a Thanksgiving diner with colleagues. Service was great, I found the food OK but all was very sweet (cranberry sauce wasn't tart as should be, sweet potatoes). I tipped over 20% but later discovered they had overcharged my credit card. It took me more than a week and several reminders to get them to correct things, but even then they did not charge me the exact right amount. What bothers me the most is they never explained why they erred and continued doing so, my guess is they lost my signed check but they never gave full disclosure about it. I will pass next time...

The restaurant is located in le District, has a great outside sitting area with great views of the Hudson river. Is very busy with locals after work. Lunch and dinner are equally great. A fine French style menu. Good service despite how busy they are all the time. Definitively a place to go for a great outside lunch dinner experience.

Lovely restaurant with beautiful scenery and ambiance. The food was amazing and the wine was excellent. Pricey. We ate inside because it was over 90 degrees but could still feel a nice breeze from the door. The view of the Hudson was nice along with the trees and flowers in their patio seating. I highly recommend it.

If you are local no doubt you know where to go.. This is for those travellers wanting near 911 memorial or One world Observatory a place to eat and recommendation... Had breakfast here and the Eggs Benedict the best I have ever had. Faultless service, excellent food. I can fully recommend this place...

Our daughter took my wife and I to Beaubourg for a Sunday brunch. We ate on the outdoor patio with a view of the nearby peaceful, shaded garden and the marina. My daughter had the Eggs Norwegian. I had the French Toast. My wife had the Croque Madame with a side of bacon. We also had coffee, tea, and a glass of Cremant (sparkling) rose. My French Toast was a little dry and overcooked. The other dishes were OK. Our server, Chris D was friendly and helpful with suggestions.

We enjoyed lunch being mand and wife. My octopus salad was tastefull and a delight. My wife's lemon Fettucine however was tasteless. Just a plate of pasta without the nice taste of seafruit. A pity.

One of the best breakfasts we had in NYC, and please check out our reviews - we had dozens and dozens of Manhattan breakfasts, easily over 100 at different restaurants, cafes, brasseries, bistros, diners, etc. We have already been familiar with the Le District through their 'Marché' (supermarket) offering high quality products such as olive oils, condiments, sauces, vegetables, charcuterie, cheeses, meat and fish, and, of course, their fabled pâtisserie, some overpriced, some (like many cheeses including imported) surprisingly affordable. We say 'surprisingly' because of the very high-end Brookfield shopping mall and the neighborhood of Battery Park City (with 2-bedroom apartments average to $10,500 per month), where restaurant is located. The food we had, 'Lucy's Avocado Toast' and scrambled eggs with sausages, everything was really great tasting, elegant, flavorful and, again, pretty affordable; about 25% cheaper (and 100% better) than the neighboring Atrio at Conrad hotel where we stayed. The service was obliging and polite, if a bit slow, but just a tiny bit, so we wouldn't dwell on it. A few remarks regarding the negative reviews. First, 'the place lives off tourists', well every place does, everywhere. The widespread false misconception "Go where locals go" would bring you to a coffee and bagel truck or halal cart. Secondly, the security guards. This is Lower Manhattan and Battery Park City, the security is there not because of Beaubourg but because of Brookfield mall, so please have some understanding. Finally, to avoid some disappointment, the breakfast menu for Beaubourg listed at the restaurant's website is for weekdays only! On weekends, at least before the brunch hour hits, the menu is quite limited, less than 30% of the web'licized breakfast menu, so no organic turkey, neither Croque Monsieur/Croque Madame nor Crêpes Nutella Banane. Overall, highly recommended. We will definitely come again.

There are plenty of tables inside and outside as well as indoor/outdoor bars. Seated right. Was greeted by server right away. Great service - was served water quickly and my order was taken quickly. The menu has a decent selection of salads, appetizers and entrees. They also have a selection of craft beers on draft. The prices are what's to be expected at restaurants near NYC tourist areas. The burger au fromage was well prepared and came topped with gruyère cheese, lettuce and tomato. It was also served with fresh hand-cut fries. The burger and fries were very good. The waiter checked on me several times. Overall, very pleasant experience.

We were very excited to visit this whole new French Experience at Le District, where they have all the beauty of French cuisine. Eataly French version in smaller scale. The restaurant was almost full, both inside and out, but the were totally understaffed, not well trained and managers not noticing that there was an issue about service was very slow and poor. Took long time before anyone could attend our table, because they only had 2 service staff covering 50 guests or more. Totally understaffed. Main dish arrived before our drinks were served and they seem to have run out of bread but did not notify in advance. Seeing other tables had bread, we asked the service staff and the story was, they run out of bread because bakery failed to bake enough.Explanation did not come voluntarily but because we asked why. They apologized but they said, since the bread is for free and lots of people also did not get it. well that's not a very good excuse. However the food was good, the whole experience was unprofessional and disappointing, specially after visiting Benoit few days ago.

Of the dozens of restaurants in this area, we chose this one. The location is excellent. The view is perfect. That's where the positives ended for us. Our server ran around like crazy, and accomplished nothing in the process. Asking for refills on beverages was fruitless. Asking for more butter for our bread was pointless. Even with a small crowd, it took forever to get our food and when it came it wasn't even prepared properly. Three of us had chicken Caesar salads but the chicken was dry on each of them. If this place is still open next time we visit New York I'll be surprised

I met a friend for an after work dinner at Beaubourg on late winter Tuesday evening. I was not looking forward to the trek downtown but I am so glad we ventured out of midtown. The bar was hopping and loud, but once we were seated in the restaurant area things were much more tranquil. We both got the prix fixe menu. We both had the beet and greens salad. I then had the beef short ribs and my friend had the roast chicken. Our server was friendly and very helpful and accommodating. He recommended a carafe of wine when we were a bit overwhelmed by the huge wine list. He switched out the mashed potatoes for french fries and switched out the pot de creme for a creme brulee for my dinner companion and offered to split our final glass of wine before we asked. My only complaint is we had to ask for bread (in a French restaurant!) and they took it away when the cleared away the salads. The food was good, the service was very good and I can't wait to explore that very extensive wine list with husband.

Simply the best place for lunch at Brookfield place - amazing view , great food , elegant atmosphere !!! Definitely coming back !!!

On a recent tour in the Financial District Brookfield Place BP city , I visited with some friends the breathtaking winter garden with its amazing Christmas lights and strolled around the harbor cove to admire the boats and the spectacular views that the marina offers. This destination in itself is a special treat for the accidental tourist or the veteran New Yorker such as myself. We ended up for lunch at Beaubourg Brasserie set amidst Le Discrit multiple foods and market fares from "France" like. Your best bet is to sample their set menu at $34 which features a Poisson du Jour and or Steack Frites or better yet sip a glass of wine at the Bar du Marche and sample some cheeses from the market and bread from la Boulangerie... Enjoy the holyday spirits at this Megamoth Food Hall , sample parties and products of France get some flowers from the French Fleuriste "Yasmine" I recall pause and smell the roses yes this is life in New York the Magic of Christmas...Joyeux Noel Pascalpicks

After touring the 911 Memorial we wanted to get a bite to eat but didn’t know where to go. Right across there is a shopping center and we decided to check it out. Came upon this great French restaurant which is located inside a variety of French food counters including a bakery, fromageri, charcuterie, desserts... all different kinds of delicious food choices. Since we had been at the museum we decided to sit down and eat at the restaurant. The food was very good and our waiter had a great French accent! Highly recommend especially if you are at the 911 Memorial as it is literally across the street.

Eat the Goat Cheese Souffle. It was soooo good. Service was great and they sat us in the outside area in January but it was a mild day and it was perfect. Overlooking the water. Great experience.

Got order wrong. Also asked for onions in the omelette. Served without because chef refused. Restaurant was half empty so no excuse other than lazy chef.

Found this place by accident and managed to get a table outside. Situated in Le district down. Y the waterfront in downtown NY. Great ambience and food was good. Nice way to enjoy a wine and French meal while looking out to the water and park.

very nice place to dine, excellent customer service and attention to detail, not to noisy so you can have a conversation without shouting; butter was not frozen able to enjoy bread before my meal

Stopped in for cocktails one afternoon and really enjoyed ourselves. We tried the District Mule and Apertif Rose and they were both very good. Prices are a little high but I think it is worth it for the atmosphere.

Delicious food and great service are key, and they deliver on both! I recommend the hamburger and lemon sole.

This is a large restaurant complex in the World Financial Center now called Brookfield Place. Just off the Palm Court. The great advantage of this place is that it has indoor and outdoor seating. In good weather, the outdoor seating is special, overlooking the Hudson River, the flow of people on the Promenade, and the little boat dock for large yachts. The menu is French; the food and service are professional, but do not expect fine dining. Pricing is moderate. Easy to combine with a visit to the World Trade Center site.

I was tired from all the fabulous shopping so this venue offered a reprieve from the street hustle and bustle. The lighting is low, the atmosphere very much like I would imagine a French market would be. My bartender was attentive, offered wine, meat and cheese pairing suggestions. I opted for a small charcuterie board as a late lunch. It was delicious! The paired wine was refreshing and complimentary to the meal. My only regret...in my shopping exhaustion and haste to meet my son at his nearby office, I grossly under tipped this very gracious server and didn't realize it until I was in a car back to Harlem. My sincere apologies. This bistro delivered on every level; I'll be back!

Lunch at Beaubourg was very nice. A great view with nice lunch options. Prices were slightly high for the return but service was attentive and food was good. The water view is pleasant and makes for a nice atmosphere. Lobster pasta was very good!

We had a wonderful lunch here - beautiful setting overlooking the Hudson. Short walk from the World Trade Centre. Great service, very friendly and not rushed. Fabulous souffle and salad niçoise. Lovely romantic location for couples!

We had a reservation for a tour of the Federal Reserve at 2:00 pm and wanted a nearby restaurant with a view within walking distance. We couldn't have been more pleased. When we arrived, the place was nearly empty. By the time we left, it was packed. Dining room has view of Hudson River with lots of boat traffic and the ferries going to New Jersey. Service was superb, our needs were taken care of almost before we recognized we had them yet the service did not intrude. Lobster tartine was best I have ever had, more lobster than I could finish. My husband had the hanger steak and was more than pleased. Don't miss it if you are in the Battery Park and Brookfield Plaza area.

My mom and I always go to Beaubourg at Brookfield every time I'm in town. We sit outside which overlooks the water and a great view of Jersey City. We had cocktails, the cheese plate and tuna tar tar. YUM! Can't wait to go there for dinner one day. Friendly staff too!

we wandered through Le District at Brookfield Place, looked at all the fabulous markets and decided to sit down, look at the ice skaters and the water and relax. we both ordered the croque monsieur and it was beyond wonderful! seriously, it was so good i could have ordered a second one. the restaurant is very pretty, although the tables are quite close together and it is easy to hear three other conversations. the view is beautiful and judging by our meal, the food is very special.

The prices vs the portions here are laughable. I can't imagine any self-respecting French person creating the cheese plate here and not just wanting to end their existence. Like .01 ounces of cheese for $24. We were cracking up wondering how the kitchen actually gets the cheese cut into such tiny pieces. Absurd. The kicker came when we got the check and the carafe of wine priced $34 on the menu appeared on the check at $44. We talked to the manager and he said, "Oh that's a mistake on the menu, the price is $44. It wasn't until we pressed that he offered to give us the $10 back on a gift card. (um, you've basically stolen my money - I am not taking a gift card?!?!?!) We mentioned that you can't advertise one price and charge another - and that they are super shady clearly charging people the higher price all summer long and only refunding the money to people who complain. If you know there is a misprint in your menu, you can reprint it, handwrite a correction in them, order stickers with the correct price and place them over the wrong one, but no, not here. He ended up comping the entire carafe of wine, but only once we were like "so you've been overcharging everyone who comes here all spring and summer?". It is expensive enough coming to NY as a tourist, and this place thrives off tourists, and you shouldn't get ripped off while dining at what appears to be a fancy place.

This isn't a great restaurant for NYC. If Beaubourg was in any city outside of the top ten foodie towns of America, it would be great. However, the competition is so hard in New York. Part of the monstrous Brookfield Place mall, Beaubourg is a cavernous space with glorious tables outside overlooking Hudson River Park and the mighty river itself. Service is chaotic disorganization, with the folks at the "front" lacking professionalism, with little communication about which tables are free. They are so frazzled, graciousness is the last thing on their mind. We wanted to sit outside, but we were led through every inside or outside room in the huge space until she found a table in the back room named the "dining room." it looked like a dining hall at a country club and we were sat next to the training table, where servers in training were folding napkins. Not cool. No view. Our lovely French server came over with a ready smile and asked for our water order. That arrived quickly, but she was rushing around like a banshee with her tables assigned all over the place, with no order. However, once the food arrived it was great. The goat cheese soufflé was absolutely delicious, flaky and masterfully prepared. A steak sandwich was super, with charred steak, tasty sauce, and wonderful bread. However, my Dover Sole was mediocre unfortunately . Our harried server was forced to filet at table side, a useless affectation, un-necessary in this large and busy restaurant. She didn't have the time! Yet, she carried through with grace and charm. She was from Nice. Pomme Frites could have been crisper. The food at this mall restaurant was very good, but management doesn't have a clue and the place needs a reorganization soon. It may not last.

Going to this restaurant feels like travelling away from New York City; it overlooks walkways and the Hudson River and the Jersey City skyline -- with no cars, trucks or traffic noise. Everybody on the staff is very pleasant and eager to please. The food is very authentic, well-done French bistro fare -- with an emphasis on seafood. The fresh oysters and clams were delicious, as was the Dover Sole -- which was sliced from the bone for us tableside. It was a very elegant preparation -- and a bargain for the price compared to uptown restaurants. The French Onion Soup is also excellent, as are the salads.

I was on a Getaway Weekend in NYC packed with the usual touristy things to do. After a long and emotion-packed day at the 911 Museum and then up to the top of the Freedom Tower, we wanted a nice place to relax. The Beaubourg was recommended to us by one of the people at the Freedom Tower. Excellent food, nice ambience, and just what we needed. It was so good that I got a gift card there for our son's birthday.

Found Beaubourg by accident and so glad we did. Wonderful food, kids loved their steak sandwiches, my husband had the Pasta Cavatelli, I had the salmon salade, all so good! The Wildflower cocktail with elderberry liqueur was delicous too. Beautiful view of the water from where we sat as well!

This restaurant has a great menu and great food with a nice wine list. The service is excellent. My friend and I had the Dover Sole and the Duck Ravioli which were superb. I cant wait to go back. great views of the Hudson River from the restaurant. It is located in Le District
