My family went here after a show. We are from New York and always looking for a unique place to dine. SInce this restaurant was near Broadway shows, especially near The Book of Mormon show, we thought it might be another tourist trap. We were wrong. The decorations were amazing. The theme was Victorian. The long bar was also spectacular. The food was amazing. We had the Wings, chicken dumplings, Korean pork bun, salmon, grilled chicken and the crispy chicken sandwich. All were delicious. They have a wide array of mixed drinks but we just stuck with a draft beer, wine and some cranberry juice. For dessert we had the chocolate cake and the bread pudding. The chocolate cake was fresh and great. The pudding was more like a stiff and dense cake than a pudding. We would not have the pudding again. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We will go back and highly recommend the restuarant and bar.

While the food and service were very fine, the reason for not a 5 star rating is the inability to contact the restaurant. On Dec. 18 upon paying, the waitstaff informed that the wifi was being temperamental and had to run my credit card again. Days later the charge appeared twice on my bank statement. Several phone attempts and no message could be delivered. Several emails and no response. Very disappointed in this practice. Patrons should be aware of this practice.

Lillie's, initially appearing as a haven for a leisurely Sunday brunch, fell short of expectations on multiple fronts. The ambiance, touted as a sanctuary to unwind, took an unexpected turn with the choice of energetic rock and roll music, diverging from the anticipated turn-of-the-century vibe. Upon expressing a desire for a more subdued atmosphere, our request for quieter and gentler tunes was dismissed, leaving us with an ambiance that felt out of sync. The disconnect between the music and the intended mood was disappointing, contributing to an initial sense of unease. Service proved to be another stumbling block, characterized by a sluggish pace that tested our patience. The table seating, while attempting to maximize capacity, resulted in an uncomfortably tight arrangement, limiting movement and contributing to an overall sense of congestion. The culinary aspect, a pivotal component of any dining experience, unfortunately, did not salvage our visit. The food, described as mediocre, arrived cold and lacked the expected flavors. Despite the proactive step of making a reservation a substantial four months in advance, the overall encounter turned out to be a disheartening letdown. Regrettably, the promise of a delightful Sunday brunch at Lillie's was overshadowed by these various disappointments. While the potential for improvement exists, our experience highlighted areas that warrant attention for those seeking a more satisfying dining escapade. Cautiously, I would recommend potential patrons to weigh these factors before deciding to dine at Lillie's.

The holiday decorations and atmosphere are amazing. I had the truffle mushroom pasta. Very good. My only issue was actually getting a table. I checked resy, no availability for 1 however tables for 2 were available. So I just decided to try walk in. At the same time I arrived a young lady arrived just behind me. She was a walk in also, no reservation. I was told repeatedly the restaurant had been booked full since September however the young lady was seated to wait for her friend. I asked “why was she seated?” And again told “booked full, you can look for a seat at the bar”. None to be had however there were plenty of empty tables. The host finally gave in and seated me at a table in the aisle, for two. I ordered before her friend arrived and had finished my dinner before she and her friend even ordered. Please, in the future, give single females dining alone, the same service you give all. We just want to experience the holiday fun too.

The restaurant decor was amazing and the cocktails are good. However, you are packed in like sardines, with servers asking other diners to help them serve drinks and food to tables they just cannot get to. Our server was very busy and so service took time so be prepared to wait - which gave us time to look at the decor. Having a conversation was hard as everyone tried to shout and be heard over the loud music blaring over the speakers. The food options are limited and when it came it was cold and pretty tasteless. The downstairs area (restrooms) was filthy and the toilets not clean at all. Used as a storage and dumping ground it lost a lot of the ambience that they try hard to create upstairs. For four drinks, two bar meals, two entrees and a single side was over $260. Really not worth it. My advice, go there as the place is very festive, but just have a drink and find somewhere else to eat.

Went here today and got the Caesar Salad and the Mussels both of which were excellent! Also had the Purple Prince Cocktail which was good as well.

This victorian inspired restaurant was very pleasant to the eyes. It really looks like you’re stepping back in time. I hear they offer an afternoon tea. I would like to come back and try that someday we were here for dinner and it was wonderful. We had the lobster ravioli, and the steak and frites. Everyone we came in contact with was attentive and pleasant. They also have a full bar so I imagine they have a great cocktail hour or so.

We visited here for Christmas and the restaurant certainly lived up to its billing. A great atmosphere and the decorations are fantastic. The food and drinks were good and the kids enjoyed the experience. What gives it a 4/5 rather than a 5/5 for me was the service and overall experience of feeling like an important guest. Perhaps this is cliche for a New York restaurant, but as an out of towner we were put on a terrible table, right in the walk way of the bar and next to the toilet. We were then inbetween two servers, so we were ignored for the first 15 minutes. We did not feel like valued customers, just some visiting punters. A bit of a shame, as it’s a great place.

Convenient to Times Square and Broadway for our evening’s entertainment. I saw lillies on Facebook and loved the look and decided to prebook before our trip used Resy very easy. Cocktails were great food was great the music and vibe were just right for the setting really enjoyed our visit. The thing that let me down was on the booking it asked if there were any special arrangements or mentions we went on my husbands 40th birthday so added that into the booking. (This was never mentioned and didn’t want to mention anything whilst there as it would spoil any surprise) I’m gutted this wasn’t picked up! I would have given a higher tip should this have been picked up and something special been done for my husband! A real let down sorry.

We really enjoyed our dinner here before our show. Easy to make reservations and no wait when we arrived for our 5pm reservation. Appetizers were tasty (fried calamari & truffle arancini). The 5 of us each tried a different entree. I had the sirloin - the black garlic was good, the steak needed some more seasoning, but a sprinkle of salt helped. We all agreed that a bread basket would have been nice. Decor was beautiful! Really cute place!

Don’t good for the food or the service. Service was slow and waitress never checked in on us and we had to re-ask for items that were ordered. Eggs Benedict and pancakes were cold and average at best. Pretty flowers on the walls and ceiling so that is what you are paying for.

Disappointing. I ordered the caprese sandwich, after really questioning the quality of the tomatoes. I specifically said I didn’t want anything with commercial colorless tomatoes - the waiter said they were deep red, thick a juicy. I could have gotten a better tomato at Burger King. Tea was served with no honey, unless requested. My mom loved her chicken pot pie. Staff were all kids and too busy talking with one another to pay much attention. Cannot recommend.

We wanted somewhere to eat before our show that was at least a little off the beaten path. Super fun ambiance, convenient to Broadway, solid food, fun drink menu. A good option if you need something close to the theaters but want to avoid Times Square.

Went in for a drink following a show after being drawn in by the amazing skeleton decorations everywhere. The guy at the front desk was lovely, said we could sit at the bar. No seats at the bar so asked if we were OK to sit at a table if we weren't eating and he very kindly found us a a table. Made a few attempts to get served at the bar. Was ignored by bar staff (one of whom seemed to be busy on her phone) and ignored by wait staff who were busy chatting to each other at the far end of the bar. In the end we just got up and left.

Incredibly beautiful. The décor really is worth the price of a drink, appetizer and/or meal. Excellent and beautiful to look at cocktails. Reading other reviews I wasn’t expecting a great meal but we were impressed with the chicken pot pie (fluffy puff pastry, rich sauce) and Caprese Ravioli we had for dinner. Reservations highly recommended

An absolutely amazing bar, obviously being October they have decorated everything for Halloween, Soooo amazing. Food was beautiful and drinks are great.

Awesome location, good food, friendly service. The interior is wonderfully decorated with pink flowers creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Well recommended

What an amazing venue. Stunning backdrop to enjoy food and drinks. Similar to Cafe En Seine in Dublin but better value. Really enjoyed the venue and staff were excellent

We found this gem while looking for an after theatre dinner spot reasonably close to our show. 5:00 pm reservation for our party of 5 booked online. Pretty spring day and the inside of this restaurant decorated warmly with flowers from the ceiling and walls. Food great, filet tender. Lively vibe. Nice crowd. Great caring service, especially the charming Devin.

This bar/restaurant is “funky”. Lot’s of fun. We enjoyed the Chicken Pot Pie and Fish and Chips. It is noisy and tables are tight, both of which add to the atmosphere. Just steps from “Six.”

Oh my gosh, the highlight of my trip!! This little cafe is absolutely beautiful!! Definitely, make reservations in advance because it seems to be busy all the time. The food was really good too!!

One of our friends knows someone in the restaurant and she told us to go there. Nice building and decor, a little noisy. Service was extremely attentive. Lots of foods and drinks and everything was great. The truffled gnocchi and pork belly sandwiches were great, I also loved the chiles! Drinks were great too!

I can count on one hand the number of establishments I have walked out of. We were staying uptown and having visited the location near Union Square, previously, we decided to try this one for an early dinner. We walked in and it was crowded but the hostess indicated she could fir us in if were out in about an hour and a half. We said that would be no problem as we wanted only a light dinner. We were seated at a high top and had to download the menu, which I determined was very different than the online menu and the Union Square menu. It was very limited. We were debating what to eat and waited about 15 minutes with no attention fro any waiter, etc. We decided to leave for these factors, plus the uptown location was nowhere as nicely decorated for the holiday like the Union Sq location. It is basically a bar hangout that serves some odd food dishes. We were very disappointed considering how beautiful the Union Square location is especially with the holiday decor. .We advised the helpful hostess that we decided to not stay.

Lillie's atmosphere, decor, architecture and drinks are outstanding. It's hard to get a seat but well worth it when you do. We stopped in twice, for a welcoming break from New York's blustery winter weather.

Characteristic place, decorated according to the holidays. We booked easily through the online form, very convenient. Friendly, you eat well and prices are normal. Recommended!

This restaurant certainly packs a punch visually, draws you in with its unique-over-the-top flare, and Victorian age underpinnings. We understand that the themes change regularly— we were treated to”Flowers” We loved that the seating, tables, decor, and China were all in keeping with the 19 century vibe . A definite plus was the cheerful and polite staff who couldn’t do enough to make our experience delightful. The prices were pretty much in line for being a restaurant in the theater district, in other words slightly more than you would expect. Everything we sampled was tasty.— the Barata cheese with tomato and toasted bread, the spinach dip with pita bread, the lobster ravioli, the fish and chips and the steak frites were all decent although in all honesty not spectacular. The sourdough bread offering placed on the table to start with the champagne-brie butter, and the tomato basil butter does warrant special mention as it was uniquely delicious. The experience was definitely memorable

A fabulous place to visit for cocktails drinks or a meal or all. The atmosphere is great and the decorations are amazing, a little Bridgeton themed. The staff are so welcoming and the food amazing, we had steak frites and lamb chops both were delicious. We would certainly recommend this place.

What attracts is the pretty flower decoration throughout the restaurant We ate a burger there quite a bit even if it was expensive Anyway NYC is a very expensive city I think the air conditioning was too cold and it’s a shame because the dishes cool down fast

The first thing that will amaze you is the restaurant's Decor especially at Christmas time (when we went) You'll need to reserve the table in advance, though walks-in are welcome (like we did) but we waited around 90 mins to get the table reserved for 1;30 PM...The host helped accommodate us... we got the corner table and waited around 10 minutes for the server to take our order. I don't mind (not a tourist, from Jersey so I understand the culture or I am more understanding, you can say ;) ] til then we enjoyed sitting on a cozy sofa enjoying the decor! We ordered - Shrimp Scampi - wifey did not like it, as per her feedback - spaghetti was not boiled properly. she asked for Parmesn to season it. thing is we Indians don't believe in wasting food, if she had complained, they would have thrown out the food which is not acceptable to us -anyway, we gave the feedback to the server - 2.5/5 Chicken Salad Sandwich - Mashed chicken with Pesto, arugula, and Fries- it was good, I liked it- 4/5 I Know New York is a touristy place, but restaurants with a history like this, make New York what it is. Price - Reasonable - no burden on your pocket Service- It could be improved, but given the holiday season and how mad rush it is out there, it's fine for me at least Decor- Christmas Decor is amazing, extra star for Decor.

There are so many places to eat in NYC avoid this one at all costs! Waiter was rude, food was awful! The place is decorated really cute - grab a drink but avoid eating and being treated badly by rude waiter!

We had delicious drinks, mouthwatering food, and the most amazing holiday decor! The Bathilda Bagshot and James Dean cocktails were fantastic choices to kick off the night. For food, we indulged in Lillies Salad with shrimp, black sea bass chard, and Grilled New York Strip paired with truffle fries. To top it all off, we ended with a rich and creamy pistachio tartufo for dessert. The perfect spooky dining experience!

Great bar, great bar tender, best margarita I’ve had in a long time. Great ambience, great music on a sat nite. My partner was drunk silly.

I chose this spot because of the adorable christmas decor and it did not disappoint. Get a reservation early if during the holidays. The food menu was very small but items we got were reasonably priced and good. The decor was the reason we we chose here though and it was such a nice atmosphere.

Somewhat hidden on West 49th Street in Manhattan is Lillie's Victorian Establishment. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation and our table was not quite ready Due to my partial handicapped nature, 2 lovely hostesses temporarily seated us until the table became available. Most appreciated, ladies! Kudos to you! Our table was located in the very back end of the restaurant which was a great opportunity to soak in the atmosphere of the entire place. Very eclectic environment with exotic wall coverings, stuffed animals, Christmas Decorations, Penguins, Polar Bears and the main attraction was a long NY turn-of-the-cebtury style Bar. We ordered off the Dinner Menu; one Lamb Chops and one Lemon Chicken Leg. The chops were small ($33 US) but delicious and cooked to perfection. Served with mashed potatoes and roasted fresh carrots. The chicken leg was served with a couple grilled potato slices and a ratatouille. Chicken was a bit on the salty side but tasty. We also had 2 ginger ales from the bar, 2 hot green tea and a bottle of Saratoga still water. Tab was $116 before tip. Waitress was lovely albeit largely overworked as she had to cover literally the entire back half of the restaurant. What made the end of the evening was that the waitress AND the restaurant Manager both went out of their way to thank us for coming to the restaurant Not only was it a nice touch but we left feeling our business was valued. Definitely would return.....

The ambiance is cute, but the food is veryyy mediocre. Like dont come here if you want to be blown away by your food. Just come for drinks and music. And the wait staff… sweet but inattentive, i had to wave down the waitress every time. I’m from miami, so take me up on the evaluation of the food and service😭

It’s overpriced and really not very good We rarely express ourselves on the networks, but a salmon with ratatouille (uncooked vegetables and so hard, so inedible) for 33€ We expressed the fact that it was uneatable, the waitress said she was going to see her manager to change the accompaniment Conclusion They changed our server All dishes are overpriced Place to avoid except the setting which is nice

What a beautiful restaurant! It was totally in Christmas spirit really beautiful incl Christmas music. A lot of people take pictures of it, too. The food was also good. Desserts were a lot in terms of portion but good to share. Staff were friendly and worked very hard. Highly recommended!

Beautiful restaurant at Christmas time. IT was crowded but great service. Food was fine, drinks fun and atmosphere amazing

Been here 5+ times, and come here with friends that live in NYC. Lillie's is great for Christmas decor, but nothing spectacular to say it's a must visit outside of holiday pop up bar, and apparently NOT known for service. Try Oscar Wilde etc. for the fun decor bar experience. I am so sad our evening was tainted by choosing to dine here, hopefully saves someone else. I'm sure they will have their excuse in response here, but there is absolutely no excuse of this type of dining experience or disrespectful wait staff. We didn't deserve this treatment, and I hope the GM takes this to help this place DO BETTER. My reservation for 3 was at 6pm Sunday 2/16/25, Broadway show starting at 8pm. I do also believe this is a place where you only have 1.5 hours to have your table? Waiter came by 15-20 minutes after we were seated...Another 20 minutes went by, what I ordered or the waiter, or anyone has been by to check on us. It's 6:40pm now I saw the water waiter, I asked if can flag down a waiter to help us. Next up was the waitress, I asked if we can order with her we haven't seen our waiter, asked about my drinks and apps, and ordered 2 more drinks for my mom and sister. She said let me go check. Another 20 minutes goes by until we get what we ordered at this time we can't even risk ordering an entree, surrounding tables received service but our table was completely ignored. I looked up our initial waiter walking around hanging with other waiters, and sat down 2 tables in front of us to eat no care in the world, he deliberately left his table unattended, ignored us and left us hanging the entire night. THAT IS NOT OK and the waitress, she seemed annoyed having to take our table, she just wanted to get through it. I finally flagged her down almost 7:30pm now to get our check. This was not a busy night as leaving 40% of the restaurant and bar was empty. she showed me the bill, I asked for itemized - when i saw drinks weren't comped that is the LEAST you can do. I typically tip around 30% and have never tipped this low, and unfortunately REGRET even leaving $5, REGRET we didn't leave after 20 minutes, and completely REGRET this experience I was excited to give to my mom and sister - it left such a bad taste in our mouth that it hindered the night based how bad we were treated. We could have chosen so many other establishments but I always make it a point to come every time I visit. I have not had this kind of disrespect before, but this time was enough to never want to come again and leave the review to warn others. I would think the goal for this establishment is to give visitors a good experience, as people come here from around the world to spend time and money at your place than every other option we have on each street of NYC. IN CONCLUSION WHAT TO LOOK INTO - Ignored for 20 minutes after seating, NOT OK. - Receiving the 1 appetizer and 1 drink 30-40 minutes after sitting down is NOT OK. - Getting 2 other drinks and the other appetizers almost an hour later, NOT OK. - Not able to have time to order a meal and rushing through to get something before a show, NOT OK. _ Continue to look for a waiter to come help us, anyone we can try to get their attention, NOT OK. - Waiter purposefully ignored our table, 20 minutes after taking my drink order never showing up again and when I saw him hanging out with his co workers he sat down to eat himself and completely left his table hanging? I HAVE NEVER seen this before, NOT OK. Service is not your forte buddy.

Serves was awful. My entree sakad came before app - then brought back and served 15 minutes before daughters burger. Food is just ok nothing special at all. Place is very pretty and convenient to theater which gets everyone interested.

Found this place on our last day in January 2020 and vowed we would visit on our next trip. We went in on Saturday night but way to busy and no free tables so left. Returned on Sunday and it did not disappoint. The Christmas decorations were still up and looked amazing. We only had drinks. The bartended was really friendly even though he was new to this particular bar. Will definitely visit again next time in NYC

Highly recommend if you like to be surrounded by Christmas decorations, and 60-70’s music. Very tight fit, tables close together in a small space but overall a great experience! The waitress was personable, friendly and efficient. We very much enjoyed the chicken pot pie and hamburger with French fries. Fun experience!

Good spot after a show. Very beautiful decor. Food was very tasty. Our entree was a generous portion. Make reservations.

An absolutely gorgeous place! The decor was incredible when we came back in October and we had such a wonderful time. We had booked for dinner on our first evening in New York and this really set the tone for our getaway. The drinks were great, the food good and general atmosphere was fab.

We visited for Sunday brunch and it was a huge disappointment. The service was horrible. We had a reservation but it took over twenty minutes to even be waited on. When we finally got our food 45 minutes later one person in our party did not get their food. The ones that ordered French toast And waffles were never given any syrup. Syrup was requested about five times and never did receive any. In fact someone in our group went to the kitchen to get it themselves. The one in the party just canceled his order because everyone else was finished and he still hadn’t gotten his food. The ones that had waffles didn’t eat them because they were cold by the time we went and got the syrup. We complained to waitress even though it was not her fault and she was yelled at by the manager. They ended up comping our meal but it was truly a disaster

Geographically, Lillie’s is a good spot for theater dining. It’s right among the theaters, and we didn’t have a problem getting a table. Visually, Lillie’s is an interesting establishment. Lots to look at while you dine (large flowers waving on the ceiling, stained glass windows). Aurally, Lillie’s is less pleasant. There’s relatively loud piped-in music, which, with the high ceilings, made conversation with our server and across the table difficult. The food was fine. The prices are about what you’d expect in NYC for the quality. At the time we ate, we enjoyed the meal. (The duck breast was excellent.) It just wasn’t memorable. After we’d dined in other NYC restaurants for a week, most couldn’t remember what they’d had at Lillie’s. The service was cordial but a touch inattentive. We had to flag our server down to, for example, get more water.

A special place, in the heart of Manhattan, that tells the story of the Victorian era and changes face with each season. Lillie’s Victorian Establishment, a restaurant and cocktail bar between Broadway theaters, is a splendid and entertaining full immersion in another time, among velvets, inlaid woods and sparkling chandeliers that seem straight out of a Dickens novel. Just cross the threshold and in an instant you experience magic. Dedicated to famous actress and Victorian muse Lillie Langtry, the venue is an incredible tribute to her charm. Every detail - from ornate ceilings to golden mirrors and furnishings - tells something. A place that I loved immediately and that intrigued me for quite some time because, apart from history, Lillie’s is famous above all for its ability to reinvent itself: all the decorations in fact change with the seasons, the spaces are transformed and the place dresses according to the theme of the moment. And in these days when Christmas in New York is about to light up, Lillie’s is a blaze of lights, garlands and decorations that carry to an authentic Christmas village, something fantastic that seems straight out of a storybook and that make it a must-see stop for those looking for a unique experience in New York.

I found this place to be exceptional. The truffle gnocchi cream truffle sauce was absolutely amazing. I will try to make this at home and hope to come somewhere close. My Humphrey Bogart was excellently balanced with a wonderfully smokey aroma. I also love the exquisite decor in the place. A guy who loves history and architecture should enjoy.

The service is absolutely awful but the decor is cute. I would make a reservation and grab drinks and split an app or something the food isn’t out of this world that’s for sure! Really cool around Christmas for the decor. I don’t think it’s the servers fault they have way too many tables for one person.

Right across from our a little bit of time to kill so stop for a drink they decorate it so festively looks like a place if you were looking for a high tea, it would be the one one to go to

We waited 30 minutes for our server to take our order, only for him to come over and say “I’m going on my break, I’ll be back in 10 mins to take your order” sorry? Then once we finally ordered with another server, my food arrived way before my husbands and was stone cold. $40 for a cold steak and chips is not ok. When I raised the issue they offered to heat the food up for me… very poor. Instead we were then offered a free dessert (1 brownie between us that never came). We were at no point asked if we had allergens which is concerning. Food and cocktails rubbish for the price, yes it’s a cool Christmas atmosphere but not worth it for the poor food and service. A few other tables were also left disgruntled, but we actually noticed 2 servers being passive aggressive about us saying the other customers were “sweethearts” about the wait, I suppose they didn’t raise the issues.

Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Quality cocktails. Excellent service. Beautifully decorated and creates a quite unique atmosphere. Would definitely visit again. Andrea was our server and she was great. Thanks.

I would have given zero star but I can’t. Horrible service started when hostess greeted us with a “can I help you?” After being seated at the bar, we waited for over 20 mins with 4 bartenders walking past us without one hello, without one eye contact, NOTHING! At one point, 2 of them were at the other end just talking while another one stopped in front of us, proceeded to eat the fruits or whatever in front of us but never made eye contact. After 20 minutes of being totally ignored. We got up and left. This is our third time visiting NYC and this establishment definitely tainted the great hospitality we had experienced up until now!

The bartender was extremly rude & the service was all around terrible. He seemed to get off on being mean & misogynistic. We had a reservation & all we asked was when we could be seated, but he made fun of us. They should be ashamed for how they treated customers. The waiting service was terrible too. Pretty building but horrible service & terrible people working there.

I just happened to look over while we were walking down the street and see the inside. There was no way a responsible drinker could pass the place up! The inside was already decorated for the Halloween season. INCREDIBLE x10!! Service was absolutely top notch. Our bartender, Gavin, was so helpful and informative. We like to let the bartenders suggest drinks. Gavin did not disappoint! One of the best Manhattans I have had. I am also a Mezcal fan. Had several great options to choose from. The decor, service, and products were well worth the stop. Prices were very reasonable. The calamari was an awesome snack for the two of us.

Haven't been to Lillie's in 7 years, and came for dinner with a friend after the show. It's as magical as I remember. Decor is stunning Victorian. Food is delicious. Service is top notch. And drinks are super creative. We split bacon jam appetizer which I forgot to even take a photo of, and I had the lamb chops...and my drink was a Humphrey Bogart old-fashioned. Glad I remembered this place again, next time won't wait 7 years to come back!

Very busy and cool place to have a drink or lunch. Make reservations or you’ll be sitting and waiting for a long time. Drinks are excellent and unique. Loud inside.

The drinks are imaginative and STRONG! I loved the decor - over the top Christmas, but not on the tacky end of the scale. It must have taken a ton of hours to put it up. My understanding is they cycle the decor according to the season so don’t expect Christmas in July! For the creativity and quality of drinks it was well worth it.

I made a reservation for two and a toddler and I asked them high chair while I was making reservation ( on union square) So after long trip we got in the place on time the lady who work for reservation had welcomed us with unhappy face then went to their manager same unhappy face and the manager lied us that their high chair stolen from someone that they can’t accept us rudely wanted us leave.. it was July 23 2023 so this place not welcoming people nicely just making show on Ig with the decorations that’s it.. so shame

I adore Lillie’s! It’s actually one of my favorite places for lunch with the girls. The ambiance is nice, the decor is charming, and the food and tea service is lovely!

And an event it was. The decoration are over the top amazing. Our server, Sarah, was a joy. The food was delicious. I will warn you, Diet Coke refills cost but it SO worth it for the experience.

Popped in here on a busy Saturday and got the last seat at the bar. I don’t drink alcohol so tried the (absolutely delcious!) Tyler the Creator mocktail. So fun to be able to get a great drink without alcohol. I also tried the chicken pot pie - super! - and my sister enjoyed several of their alcoholic offerings. Fun spot, entertaining decor, great drinks!

The place looked amazing, it’s so well decorated for Christmas and a lovely atmosphere. The girl that served us was friendly, but the guy who took the payment/bill not so much. I think this would be great if you were just in for drinks and the Christmas atmosphere but we were in for dinner and the food was absolutely awful. I’d recommend if going for drinks and a lovely atmosphere but if for food definitely not.

A beautiful place, a super friendly waiter, an excellent meal in a festive atmosphere We had a pleasant evening

Very disappointed. As a frequent NY visitor due to my spouse’s job I love to investigate and learn about the many happenings in the city. Pompous guy at the entry. Blew me off entirely when I said d I’d like to just have a drink at the bar. I’m actually embarrassed for him. He has no idea. If it weren’t for the local patrons and lovely folks from the UK that I chatted with I would have been out the door. I have never written a bad review. Ever. But sadly now I have.

Went to the flatiron location for this restaurant on New Years Eve for a sole early dinner and drink. Wanted to try this after seeing it was voted one of the best decorated restaurants/bars in NYC for the holidays. This place did not disappoint! Had a truly magical experience from the aesthetics, bar experience, and food. Highly recommend for a sole or more intimate couple setting.

One of my favorite places to go to celebrate 🥳 🎉 staff is always on point and very kind. Music and food are the best parts of the ambiance.

I stopped by for a drink. Only offered a place at the bar (the place was practically empty!) After about 25 min that no barman didn’t even took my reservations or acknowledge my existence, I left! The scenery is beautiful and unique but the service is horrible. Go anywhere else

This was our 2nd pub we visited during our bar, lounge and rooftop tour. What a beautiful cafe I had never seen in such a shape. What a decoration we saw. Our guide Walter told us the eea or history of the separate cafe. Drink done and just fun. Had walked past this Pub n times and at first thought it was an antique shop.

I really enjoyed Lillie’s! The decor is so much fun! It’s Victorian and frilly, but not stuffy. It’s a hip restaurant while maintaining that Victorian flare. Service was just OK. I would’ve gotten another glass of wine if I had a chance, but they were busy. I didn’t know what to expect because it’s in Times Square, but the food was really good! I was hesitant ordering duck, but it was very good! We all enjoyed our meals. We also got dessert. The limoncello cake was wonderful and my companions enjoyed the chocolate mousse cake. I recommend and I will return.

We’ve been in New York on holiday heading back today looking for somewhere for lunch find this place on google top rated restaurants. We were booked in for 2.00pm hoping to get something substantial to eat to keep us going on our long journey home so lunch with what we were hoping to get. We arrived given the menus looked at the lunch menu decided what to eat and then we were told that lunches don’t start yet that we had to have brunch even though they were solving afternoon tea so I ordered the eggs Benedict which when it arrived was cold and the muffins were burnt black. I decided to order some truffle fries as an extra as I was still hungry when they eventually arrived they were cold. There was more grated cheese on them than truffle actually I couldn’t taste any truffle they should’ve been called cheesy fries so overall with my two choices I was very disappointed. Which is a shame because the atmosphere and the decor were so lovely. If in New York again, I wouldn’t be going back any time soon.

Very nice restaurant with good food. The place has a very nice Victorian atmosphere. I would definitely eat here again.

Lugar interessante. Attention ok. Weak food!! Definitely not worth it.From the entrances to the main dish, nothing very tasty. Look there were 3 entries and 4 main dishes. I hope to pick a better restaurant next time.

We couldn’t get a reservation for a time before our matinee, but decided to pop in anyway and we were able to sit at the bar. This place is a feast for the eyes! The drinks were good, the food was delicious. We weren’t rushed, the bartenders were nice, and it was a wonderful experience in our NYC day.

We met old and new friends at this lovely Victorian restaurant. We did not have a reservation, but got seated right away. Our 17 yr old granddaughter loved it. The decorations were amazing. Our server told us it changes with the seasons and encouraged us to return in the Fall. Food was good as were the drinks and a Mocktail for our 17 yr old.

BAR REVIEW. Came here Sunday morning 10 mins before they opened and there was already a line! Once inside, since we did not have reservations, we found two seats at the bar. Cocktails were okay—got the Irish Coffee and Winter Wonderland. The Christmas decorations were amazing!! Beautiful decor all around the restaurant, loved it!

Visited over thanksgiving weekend. Attended the bar on Friday night on way back to hotel ordered 2 beers and 1 disaronno and coke, was given a bill for $35 which I paid on my bank card. On Sunday I checked my bank account and realised that another $42 had been taken straight after the $35. I immediately returned Sunday afternoon and spoke to a manager named Leo. He admitted the charge of $42 should of never been taken and been a mix up and money would be returned to my account. After 2 weeks still nothing. I have sent 2 emails asking for money to be returned which had been stolen but no reply.

Fabulous place food and staff great. It’s a bit pricey but worth it. The atmosphere and decor is great. Well worth a visit

This was the restaurant I chose to go to today, August 16th, my birthday and I'm more emotional than usual for personal reasons, and the girl who served me was incredibly welcoming. I'm so happy to have chosen this restaurant to spend my day, I have no words to describe it. ❤️

The venue and decor inside are beautiful. Apparently this is the second longest bar in new york and we only went in for a drink. The server was friendly. However we felt very disappointed as the draught Stella that was ordered was flat. We notified the server and he graciously re poured another one..but again this was no good. Please do go visit the bar..it is beautiful but perhaps take a miss on the draught Stella.

I really wanted to emphasise what an incredible experience me and my husband had in Lillies on Christmas Day. Knowing that such a beautiful restaurant in such a busy spot would be in high demand, I booked this back in September (literally the same evening we booked our flights to NYC) for a 6:30 sitting. The food was incredible, our waiter Devon was an absolute dream and the atmosphere was so festive and magical. We had the ham and the truffle mushroom pasta, both excellent and such a fair price for the quality of food and the size of the portion. We were served quickly and finished our meal off with a cocktail; I had a Lillies Cup - get one!! and my husband had a negroni which despite not being on the menu was still catered for and presented exactly as a traditional negroni should be, sharp with the large ice cube and the orange peel. There were a few people complaining because some entrées were sold out and honestly I don’t know why anything is so important or why you would find the need to complain to such lovely staff about something like that on christmas day. I loved my experience in here so much and if you cant extend courtesy and joy to staff working hard to give you a memorable christmas day then maybe adjust your expectations and have some perspective. Or just order a pizza? Would recommend to anyone and again shout out to our waiter who was a true pleasure. Dining here really topped off a magical Christmas day for us. Also.. book in advance obviously!!!

Definitely a 5 out of 5. The Christmas decorations are amazing, fantastic and well cooked foods complimented with a good selection of wines, beers and cocktails. I chose the “How soon is now” cocktail, very nice. You can sit at the bar or table, definitely recommend this place!

Me and my partner decided we didn’t fancy food and because of this we were rudely kicked out after ordering our 2nd drink. A senior waiter came over and gave us our bill without us asking and we’re “kindly” asked to leave so someone else could have our table. Made to feel very unwelcome and to be honest I would much rather spend my hard earned money elsewhere.

We loved it! Family of 4 enjoyed brunch for my daughter's 21st birthday. We had a reservation for 10:30AM, which is the time they open. Don't get there early, bc they will not let you inside. We all really enjoyed our food and the serving size was just fine. The decor is so very lovely!!! The tables are close together, but that seems to be the theme in NYC restaurants. Our service was wonderful. I would recommend and I would also go again!

I went with friends for lunch. The service was inadequate. We had to repeatedly ask for ketchup and waited quite awhile for the water glasses to be refilled. I had the French onion soup and it was topped with gobs of cheese and very unappetizing. I also found a whole bay leaf in the soup which should have been removed by the chef during the cooking process. The danger from ingesting bay leaves is that you could choke or get one stuck somewhere in your digestive system. The music was very loud and it was difficult to talk. I won't be returning. There are better restaurants in the area.

We were here today during our trip to New York. Very nice ambience, nice staff and delicious drinks.

Fabulous decor and cosy place to call in for a drink and light meal! Called in a couple of times as was charming and has a delightful ambience!

Kitchy and different. We got a nice pre broadway dinner here, the place is very different, victorian style but very overly so to be genuine. They played funky music and the atmosphere was very nice. Food was okay (shepherds pie and marsala chicken). Tbh, the space itself is the real attraction here.

Beautiful restaurant. Great vibe. Visited here for my daughters 16th birthday. We all loved the food. Great cocktails too.

Been here previously so looked forward to our visit. Things didn't get off to a good start, when one of the tall chairs collapsed, luckily I wasn't injured. The staff made sure I was OK and quickly removed the damaged (wrecked) chair. This completely spoiled our night, the food was OK, a little greasy. Really upset by what happened and surprised that other chairs were very wobbly. Cancelled our next booking. The staff cancelled the charge on 2 of our dishes to compensate.

Loved our ladies’ lunch among the cherry blossoms before a matinee earlier this week! Pleasant attentive service, good food (esp shepherds pie), outstanding atmosphere! Nice jazzy music too, not too loud.

Gorgeous bar/restaurant just off Times Square a hidden gem. The bar is Victorian and quirky, the atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are fantastic too.

We stumbled upon this place after seeing a nearby show and it was epic! The service was fantastic, the decor was BEAUTIFUL and the place was shockingly huge for a NY Restaurant! We had multiple drinks and they were perfectly made! The food was also very good, I got the dumplings, and my husband got the shepherd's pie. Both were delish! We didn't have to wait long for service and were also sat very quickly! Awesome food, drinks, experience, and you may just run into a broadway actor or two while you're there!

We were on the way to our accommodation when we passed by this bar which immediately took our attention. As it was October many places had Halloween decoration but here it was over the whole front of the establishment. As we had drink just 20 minutes ago we didn't go in but we definitely will at our next visit to the city. For the decoration they deserve 10 of 10.

We went for a drink during happy hour and sat at the bar. The bartender served us very well, with drinks and prices accordingly, and the best thing was the Alice in Wonderland-style setting. Spectacular!

Well, we did not have a good time. The Waiter was too busy with other tables, my Grandson wanted Chicken and Waffles and could not get it. We all ordered plain cheeseburgers, one was rare with sauce, one was well done with lettuce and tomato and onion, one was medium with sauce. We ordered Truffles fries and they were beyond horrible. My wife ordered the Prosciutto sandwich- if you like bread it was great, other than that-it was terrible. My Bloody Mary had very little Vodka. Your highly rated restaurant was not good.

The venue is fabulous, very interesting with so much Victorian memorabilia to look at. The staff were very friendly and efficient. He meals on the other hand were very disappointing.Chicken pie filling was mainly tinned peas and undercooked carrots in a runny sauce with a few tiny pieces of chicken. The chicken thighs were tasty but veg and potatoes cold and undercooked. As we complained about the meals, staff took 50% off the bill but they weren’t really worth the 50% we paid. Such a shame the chef let the place down.

Loved this somewhat quirky restaurant. Great menu and food, portions good and tasted great. Service was superb. Would dine here again.

We went to the on on W 49th Street. It's in the heart of the theater district. Perfect for a before theater dinner. Walking past the large picture window you first think it's an antique store. But if you look in the window, you see a magnificent bar. The decor is amazing. It's so eclectic and interesting. It's magical. We had the mussels and chorizo and ordered a side of french fries. The food was very good. I made reservations even though we went on a Monday night. The service was pleasant and efficient

I had big expectations for this place. Took my twins for their birthday mostly because it has the harry potter theme these days. It took almost an hour to get the food even the place wasn’t that busy. My kids got pancakes, scramble eggs and bacon(super greasy and a little undercooked) I ordered steak (medium) and eggs (over medium) steak was cold, dry and well done, eggs were fully cooked also. Coffee was warm, not hot. Definitely not going back

We came here on my birthday because we saw the Instagram video of this restaurant being decorated in Bridgerton-themed decor. And it was… So cute with flowers from the ceiling and along the walls. It was adorable. I heard this restaurant is even cuter on holidays like Christmas, which I’ll be back to visit during Christmas time because I’ve seen some of the videos and this place is adorable. It’s in a great location and it has great energy inside. The drinks are delicious. I didn’t get a chance to try the food, but I definitely will next time. The staff took great care of us and it made our night even more enjoyable. Definitely would recommend!

I read several reviews before our visit about the service and food not being very good and after visiting I agree with this. The food is just ok and the service is just ok. It's not the worst but for the price it should be better. The decorations were very impressive and is why you go to this restaurant and not much else. I wouldn't go back but if someone wanted to experience the decorations I could understand the appeal. I would suggest just getting a drink at the bar.

We appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Amazing decorations, atmosphere. Fast service, normal food, fair prices. Recommended.

A delightful themed restaurant in the theater district, Lillie's is definitely a treat. My mom, cousin, aunt, and I popped in for Brunch before a show and it was TOTALLY up to the hype my mother gave it. Reservations are required and there is a 90 minute time slot for your reservation, although I'm not sure how they can regulate that if there's a delay from the kitchen or something. We had an 11:30am reservation so we could make our show in time and, admittedly, I don't think I'd go any later than that if you were trying to catch a matinee. The food was very good, as were the drinks, although our waitress wasn't the most knowledgeable on certain things, like how the egg was prepared that came with the avocado toast, for example (it's poached, for those interested, though my aunt ordered it without and they forgot to keep it off). She did, however offer substitutions for style as my mother had the Croque Madame, which also comes with a poached egg, but was able to substitute for an over-medium egg. Additionally, while our hot food took a reasonable amount of time, it seemed like our dessert took awhile, and that should have been easier since it was just two slices of cake, the chocolate and the limoncello (both excellent). I'm not sure if that goes to a different area of the kitchen though, since it doesn't have to be cooked to order. We still had plenty of time to make our show, but were concerned that we were getting close to our 90 minute mark and were unsure what would happen if we surpassed it. Don't forget your cocktails! Our group ordered 2 "Breathless", 1 Siouxsie Sioux, and 1 Humphrey Bogart which were all excellent. The first three came in huge goblets and you definitely only need one if you plan on staying awake for your show. The Humphrey Bogart is a fancy Old Fashioned and came in your typical sized glass for that, but had a lovely bit of smoke to it.

Went for heater matinee dinner. Food was pretty good atmosphere was nice. Service was AWFUL. Server took forever to come to our table and when she finally did she started with “Did you guys order yet?” Seriously? We laced an order for apps which took a while and were delivers by food runners. No check in by waitress. Had to flag her down and when she stopped she asked again”Did you guys order yet?” I’m not kidding. Ordered dinner, food was pretty good. Waited forever and had to flag her again to get the check. She said she’d be right over. 10 min later, I waived her down again and she said “Oh, I made a mistake in your check and I have to talk to my manager first.” Umm, what? More waiting. Check finally comes and it’s for what we ordered. Then she pulls the bill up on her handheld payment device and the bill so for way more than what we ordered. She says that our bill and another table’s bill were in the same check by accident. But we would just do a payment for what we owed. Ok, we paid our amount and kept the bill that had just our order in it as well as the reciept that showed what we paid. Against my better judgement, I left a tip for the server. On my way home, I get a call from the manager saying we only made a partial payment and they wanted the balance of the bill. I was furious. I had to explain the poor service and the mess the server made of the bill the manager said “sorry” and he had to call me to get the whole story. WTF? I’ll be checking my credit card for the next week to be sure they don’t try to out through another charge for the mistake made by the server. Infuriating. Will not be back.

Excellent spot for good food, great music, and attentive staff. Beautiful decor, big & spacious. Expect to spend a few bucks , but it's worth it.

Beautiful Victoria bar completely embellished for the holidays in December. Every square foot! An indulgence to the senses.

We are New Yorkers. 2 couples. Food was cold and beer was flat. The decorations were disappointed. Doesn’t look anything like the picture above. A lot of visible storage boxes. Only positive was the waitress.

Great bar with amazing whimsical antique decor. Gets pretty crowded, so needed to make a reservation.

Was met by a very dour lady who should not be front of hoyse (terrible first impression). Lead to table by this lady who showed us that to look at the menu we were required to use our phone to san the QR code. Oh dear....it could only get better! We ordered food which arrived and was fast food standard with restaurant prices So many restaurants in New York so don't waste time here. The decorations are excellent but the food and front of house staff let this place down terribly.

We came here for the Christmas decorations, which did not disappoint. Food and service were surprisingly good for how busy it was. If crowds and noise bother you, I would avoid during the holidays, but it added to the atmosphere for us.

Great location with great food. Suitable for vegetarians. Service area a great with friendly staff. Cocktails also great.

The atmosphere here is definitely Victorian. There was enough to tantalize even if you ordered nothing from the menu! We went for brunch and the portions were good-sized and tasty. There is a full bar--we didn't partake, but it was a beautiful bar. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient.

I want to start by saying the hostess was amazing. The doorman was very courteous and accommodating. Both individuals excited us for what’s to come. The style of the restaurant including the ambiance was truly delightful. The unfortunate part here is they the food was not enjoyable for myself or either of three guests. Our waitress was ok she honestly did the bare minimum. I’m sad to say that we will not be returning.

Our 1st time at the location on Times Square and we loved it. We sat at the bar for brunch because we didn’t have a reservation. Food, service and drinks were excellent. Pleasantly surprised how reasonable our bill was. Inside decor is all Victorian.

Party of 4. We were so looking forward to this restaurant only to be disappointed. The steak was tough, sea bass no flavor, Cesar salad ordered shrimp on a large salad. They said they were jumbo shrimp, (they were not), $32 for 4 small shrimp. The real manager sent over, (she said she was the manager), but she is not. He wouldn’t even speak to us. Don’t waste your money. The food is not worth it.

The restaurante is an amazing place and such cute design and decorations, we stayed in New York for 6 days and the best food we tried was definitely here😀 We ordered the buffalo wings, French fries, grilled harissa lamp chop and pan seared branzino. It was amazing, the buffalo wings had a great sauce with spice and the pan seared branzino was delicious. The lamp chop- amazing, and the French fries had an amazing seasoning. We had the sweetest waitress Maryclaire! She was so friendly, helpful and gave us some great recommendations we were so happy with🥰 We tried one mocktail which was super sweet and we had a delicious Pinot Noir from California and it was a good value for money🍷 All in all we are so happy with our experience and will definitely be coming back.

Went to this establishment with some friends from upstate we wanted to show them New York City. We ordered food each one of our plates were cold. I had fish chicken was cold. My wife and my friends we ordered a beer. It was flat. I was disappointing. The waitress was a sweetheart. The service was great, but the food was terrible. Ambience is nice except if you look up on both sides, you see crates and boxes of Supplies.

Beautiful place, we loved it. The food wasn’t excellent, we loved the cocktail. The experience in general was amazing, 🤩

Beautiful decoration with cherry blossom details for the Spring season. Modules fries 10/10. Efficient and very friendly staff. Loved it here!

Recently here for dinner before a Sat. night show. Although we made advance reservations we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. To their credit staff was made aware of our curtain time and brought us our dinner quite quickly. Meal was very mediocre - felt like chain restaurant food. More notable, loudly singing group of women at the bar, very loud music, watered down drink and generally felt like a place for celebrating bridesmaids and other groups of women celebrating various things. Will not return.

Delightful. Great service, tasty food and perfect drinks. The decor is an added bonus - very unique. This establishment was recommended to us by a friend and it certainly exceeded all expectations!

So very disappointed with the food and service. We order the Korean ribs appetizer. They were extremely salty to the point of being inedible. We brought it to the managers attentions and her response was she will talk the kitchen. No compensation offered!!! We decided to leave and not to continue with ordering an entree. The decor was so adorable but food and service was awful!! I can’t recommend this place to others.

Really great Victoria outside and lots of Victorian decoration, features and pictures inside. Had the buttermilk chicken burger and it was very good. Nice staff, filling up our water glasses throughout. Thought for a Victor if an theme, staff could be more dressed up. Music didn't really create much of a Victorian experience.bmaybe some nice classical music would improve the atmosphere. Abba and Dexys Midnight Runners, didn't really do it.

Sat at the bar, fun clown and skeleton decorations. Mine is by QR code out of the cider from New York. Drafts run about $10 but fair selection

We were able to visit while it was still decorated for Christmas. It was so lovely! Great bar staff and service. We enjoyed it so much we returned after our show, twice in one night!

Quirky decor, good food and friendly staff make Lillie’s a great pre or post theatre restaurant. We enjoyed an early lunch and recommend it

A piece of awesome in nyc. Went for brunch to meet some friend with the fam which includes 2 teens. The food was great. Really. The brunch was so nice. The drinks were so pretty and tasted so good. Recommend the lilies are lively I think it’s called. The place was decorated like a Macy’s window during the spring flower show. The staff was not only nice but super accommodating. My Rez changed 2 x from the time to size of group. And although they didn’t promise anything Jessica made it happen. Our waiter Carlos was awesome. Super attentive! We were there so long he took a lunch break and then Pill was our server who was also superb. Would do this place again every time I’m in the city. Rez are a must!

We came as the restaurant opened on a Sunday morning. The place is decked out in tons of Christmas decorations. It is awesome. We all ordered off the brunch menu. I had the chicken and waffles with fruit on the side. The waffles were nice and crispy and the chicken was good too. My wife and daughter both had shakshuka. They both liked it a lot but thought the eggs were slightly over cooked. They both had coffee as well and enjoyed it. My other daughter had French toast with bourbon syrup and she said it was very good. All in all, everyone enjoyed the trip. The only complaint is the music. They should have been playing Christmas music not 90s music (I like both but it didn’t go with the atmosphere).

You have to check out this establishment if you're in Times Square! It was recommended by hotel staff and they did not steer us wrong. It was too crowded before the Broadway shows, but we went afterwards and luckily there were two seats at the bar. It's a cool, quirky restaurant and bar. The decor is amazing, the music was loud and the energy was great. We did not eat, but the food looked good. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple Old Fashioneds, which had unique smoky highlights. There were several styles to choose from and the drink menu was extensive. We would definitely return!

Very chic. Great for dates or girls hangout. Had drink and chocolate bread pudding. Both amazing Stumbled upon on our way back to our hotel

Very different decor with pink ,red and white paper flowers covering the ceiling,I had the lamp chope and creamed potatoes with carrots 🥕 and it was lovely.

First, if you want a table then you have to book months in advance during holiday times. Otherwise you are relegated to the bar which is okay. Food was decent. Service was so-so since you at the bar. Did I mention we loved the decorations. The decorations are worth seeing

Have both a bar and restaurant menu. Very nice antourage. The place was very nicely decorated for Halloween. Food is what you expect. Very nice experience

Just walked in, wow what a place, nice... sat in the bar, so far so good. A bit of wait to order, but hey, this is NY right! Had a good bear in the bar, wide selection so very nice. Then dinner... Would not say it was bad, but it pulled me back to reality. I had a burger on recommendation, cold fries and burnt bacon. Overall though a ok evening with ok service. But just think, if food and service would been as cool as the decor. Cheers

We visited the bar on a Monday afternoon and were in awe of the Christmas decorations here. Cool old Victorian restaurant and the Christmas lights made it even prettier. A must-see for anyone visiting NYC at Christmas-time. Note: this place got very busy during our visit, so it's highly recommended to make a table reservation or go as early as possible for the bar seating!

My friend and I go to New York City at least once a year to attend Broadway performances. We have started to add an afternoon tea to our vacation. Lillie's Victorian Establishment had a reasonably priced tea compared to some other locations, so we decided to go before seeing an afternoon show. We went at the beginning of January when places still had holiday decor. The food was okay. We got a few sandwiches, a scone, some fruit, and a few desserts on the tea tiers. Everything was tasty, but I could have used more for the price. It seemed that they only had one server for the entire establishment, and the service was slow because of this. The server was as attentive as she could be under the circumstances, but they really need to have more help. I would go back and try other food. However, I would probably pay more and get afternoon tea somewhere else.

Trying to entertain two teen girls Lillie’s was recommended to us on the NYC forum and it did not disappoint. Service was a bit erratic, but the food was good, the surroundings were attractive and the prices were reasonable

We made a reservation and received a very warm welcome and a fantastic table. The service was great. Two waitresses attended to us because one had to have a break. They were both so nice. Made great recommendations and were very friendly. The food was nice but the drinks were awesome. Nice Cocktails and a good choice of beers. Can’t fault it. Not to be missed.

We pre booked a table for dinner at 4.30, received a text message the day before reminding me of the booking: all great, walked 45 mins up to Lillies for 4.30, to be greeted with ‘you only have 1 hour, we have a private event, find worry the kitchen is super fast it won’t take long’ Wow, is this how you treat bookings!! If you’d have told us this in advanced we’d have simply cancelled! There were 6 other people inside; staff moving table, chairs around us, zero atmosphere as they were getting ready for a ‘pre marathon runners party’ which in itself was funny 24 hours before a marathon! We had one drink and left- the place is quirky but I wouldn’t return purely due to the poor visit this time around! Instead we found a gorgeous Italian close by, delighted to take our table, no ridiculous turn around, certainly made us feel welcome!

Good advertised proces and selection. However, was very off-putting when I got a bourbon pour, verified price, and then halfway through my drink was told it actually costs more. I asked if listed and verified price would be honored and was told no. Not how a business should be ran.

We came here for brunch. The whole restaurant was beautifully decorated in Victorian-era keepsakes and pink flowers. I had a delicious Bellini and a croque madame. My friend also enjoyed the chicken & waffles. The service was great too. We’ll definitely be back.

This is just a must visit when in New York, cannot explain in detail the atmosphere or décor, though like you have never experienced before, just amazing. Food was excellent as was the cocktails, and the service was efficient, friendly and fun. Great music and vibe, best time we have had in a restaurant in a long time that ticks all the boxes. We will be back again…And if you have not been, make a reservation and go.

The Christmas decor was amazing, wish they would have matched the music play list to complete the ambiance. I read several reviews and almost didn’t try this place. The drinks are fun and strong! We didn’t try the food A special mention to the hostess and the waiters they provided SUPERB customer service

Myself and my family members visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration & it was great! Devin was a wonderful server and the decor is very fun. The tea for two was delicious & I highly recommend the skate sandwich! I would absolutely return on my next NYC trip.

Lillies Victorian Establishment was a great find for us. We stopped in every day of our trip - 4 days in a row. We had happy hour here every day as well as dinner and a snack a few times. Everything we ordered from the menu was delicious. The drinks were reasonably prised and very good. Fun atmosphere with happy people. The music was pop fun themed music, soometime3s a bit of a 'girls playlist' but it is a foo foo kinda place, which was very pleasant. Dim romantic lighting, great decor, and seating was perfect. The staff and especially the Maitre'D were awesome and found us a place to sit even when we stopped in without a reservation. Highky recomned. Definately try the ceviche.

I love the ambiance and the waiter, Devon, was very helpful. The food did not meet my expectations, but the presentation of the drinks, both mocktail and cocktail, were lovely!

Great atmosphere! The decor is amazing! So much thought and detail throughout. Plus excellent food! This was the perfect brunch spot before going to see a broadway matinee.

We came here for dinner and we had an amazing surprise. The location is nice and welcoming. The staff was very kind with us. In addition, the portions were worth it and the dishes very good. We’ll reccommend it!

We booked Lillie’s a few months ago as I knew it was very busy especially at Christmas. We was told we only had 90 mins. We ordered drinks but it took them another half an hr to come and get our order for food. I do have to say the food was lovely and place looked lovely. It wasn’t over crowded like another one. I would definitely go back.

Came here for lunch and can’t complain as the food and drinks were enjoyable, albeit overpriced as the portions are small! Ordered the French onion soup which was tasty but didn’t even come with a piece of bread. The staff themself were super lovely and really attentive. But the booths are small and on high chairs.

Food was very good & the Halloween/Victorian decor was fun, but it was not particularly clean - and music was way too loud & rocking. We had hoped for a more relaxing & elegant atmosphere - but it felt like Chuck E. Cheese for adults!

Fun brunch at Christmas time. The decorations were great! We had reservations in advance. Each reservation is for 90 minutes only. Food came out rather quickly. Plenty of cocktails to include non alcoholic. The avocado toast was fantastic.

At Christmas it feels like being in a themed film. Decorations in large quantities, delicious English Victorian style crockery and the food plentiful and definitely very good. It's the third time I've been back and every time it doesn't disappoint me. Try it. It won't disappoint you

Unlike so many places during the busy holiday season, the team at Lillie's could not have been nicer and more helpful. We had an unexpected guest, and they worked to find an extra seat (which was not easy!) - they accommodated a big crowd with kindness and great service. The food is very good and the ambiance so fun and festive!

For 270.00 lunch tea experience this was horrible. Our reservation was for 1:00, we had tap water only for the first 45 minutes. No tea, at a afternoon tea. They only had 10 teapots and had to wait for someone to finish so they could wash them out. We spoke to the manager , asked for a different drink to no avail. We were finally served an hour later. They did bring us a complimentary dessert 1 1/2 hours later. I was really looking forward to this, have only regrets.

Absolute stunner of a restaurant. It's beautiful and so fun, exactly what I hoped for. BUT, the food was incredibly mediocre. I had the fish and chips. Very little fish, not great batter, soggy more than crispy, and fries that were SO salty I had to wipe every one in order to eat them. I would have left them, but I would have starved. My husband was excited to have chicken pot pie. It was so attractive with a giant puff pastry on top. But, like my meal, disappointed...not a lot of chicken and was soupy. I hope this restaurant will remain because of its beauty. I hope they get a better menu so I will return. Sad.

Awesome place! The card is very well done The decoration is very kitsch but everything goes well together. The cocktails are very good and so is the food. Special mention for humor

Just love the vibe, the pink flowers and the staff - great for after work drinks or pre-theatre food/drinks. The flowers change based on the season so may not be pink in the future

We stayed at Lillie’s Victorian Establishment in Union Square and were enchanted! The place was spectacularly decorated with lots of scary clowns for Halloween 🎃🤡 — really an amazing atmosphere, attention to detail. Service was great, friendly and attentive staff. We absolutely recommend it to those who want to live a special and fun experience for happy hour in New York during Halloween!

Cool interiors, good food and friendly service. The restaurant has a beautiful bar with colonnades and the room is decorated with antique art work, stained glass, a marble fireplace and victorian period gigantic dressers

A disappointing experience. I was attracted by the older world Victorian deco and the ambience of the restaurant - my wife was delighted when we entered. A great start. Unfortunately the food and service didn’t match up. They were both very poor. We both had the chicken sandwich - which looked like deep fried chicken in a bread bun with garnish. The chicken was suspiciously grey in colour, which worried me a little (but I was fine afterwards). Fries were fine. The waiter seemed disinterested. Trying to get his attention to pay the bill was quite a task. It didn’t help that three of the staff spent the entire meal having their own dinner and oblivious to the needs of paying customers. The only other thing that I have to mention is their shepherds pie was made with beef! Come on chaps, the clue is in the name of the dish ;-) Don’t be fooled like I was by the pleasant surroundings.

Although the food is not that unique, the decor and atmosphere is. It's a relaxing place for just some drinks and appetizers, or a full meal. We had the chicken pot pie, mac and cheese and parpadelle. All were delicious... not fancy, but good. I had the Humphrey Bogart smoked whiskey drink; not to smokey but still a good drink. It's one block from the Gershwin Theatre to where we were going afterwards. Service was very good.

Positives - great Christmas decorations, good Christmas cocktails. Negatives - packed cramped high tables, largely tasteless “alright” food - I had the medium rare steak frites with chimichurri which didn’t seem to have any seasoning or flavour. The wait staff were ok - they did enough to get their tip - and were polite. But we had to ask for condiments for the table after the food arrived and for our bill twice. No one enquired after the food and generally, they weren’t close to the standard of attentiveness of other wait staff in places we ate in Manhattan. Overall meh. Wouldn’t go back.
Victorian magic but buyer beware
Lillie’s has the most magical Christmas ambience of any restaurant. The ambience accounts for all my stars. The negative is the lunch menu doesn’t start until 3:30pm so it’s a restricted brunch menu before then. Be warned. The service is also snail-pace slow. This is the problem when the star attraction of a venue is the ambience and not the actual dining experience. I had the cheeseburger which was not too bad but it was the only decent lunch choice available. The deinks took 25 minutes to arrive. I was halfway through the meal when they eventually did arrive. Go here for the Christmas spirit and you wong be disappointed. I recommend booking a table after 4pm if you want to choose from a decent selection of options. Also, book ahead. I resent restaurants who make you pay a deposit but I also understand due to the pressure and loss of business through late cancellations.
