great food and excellent service

We all had different meals and they were all excellent. Good wine and attentive service. We'll be going back!

Great food, casual setting

By USCKaboom |

For a simple but delicious meal The Little Beet Table is a great spot. Casual setting. Make a reservation because it can get busy. The food is very good and they have a good number of options.

Awesome clean eating fare

By Pam B |

The signage outside is seriously lacking. I ate with a local, so she was able to guide me in for my landing. There's no way to see the sign across the street. You have to be directly in front of the location to see it...and even then, it's tiny and concealed. Awesome food, though and great service.

Very good

This restaurant looks like a cantine at the first sight but it is not, it has a nice atmosphere and is not too noisy. The menu is good with a choice for every body. I am gluten free ( allergic) and it is perfect . The food is excellent and we tastes a good wine . Nice place to share with friend .

Creative, Yummy Find

By Jennifer E |

Got lucky with a last minute reservation on a Sunday night. Healthy, creative & yummy menu choices. Had a fabulous shrimp salad which the waiter recommended. Also had the rigatoni with butternut squash. A cornucopia of flavors. Service was very friendly too. Would definitely go back.

Who knew gluten free could be this delicious?

By Neelam M |

Had an incredible meal at The Little Beet Table a couple days ago. I was unsure about the whole gluten free concept, but my hamburger bun was probably one of the best I've had in my life. The beef was equally tasty and the bacon perfectly cooked. The sweet potato side was delicious and the chipotle sauce was good but could have used a bit more spice. I also had the poached shrimp lettuce wraps (yum!); the olives, which were warm, hearty, and delicious; and the guacamole, which was a very small portion but very tasty. My favorite part however was most definitely the dessert mint chocolate sundae- which was unlike anything I've ever had before. Will definitely be back.

A great place for all.

Took a colleague who has Celiac for lunch and what a terrific surprise this was. A very cozy place on Park Ave that has a surprisingly diverse menu to satisfy all. I actually had the shrimp salad that is pictured on the front of the TripAdvisor page and it was outstanding. The prices are what you expect in NYC, but at least it was fresh and made with quality ingredients. Will be a returning customer.

Fantastic Gluten free food! Great burgers!

By susanna l |

We were recommended this restaurant by our concierge at our hotel and it didn't disappoint! The restaurant is clean and cosy and the waiting staff were great, very attentive and friendly. We were served quickly and both ordered the burger. The quality of the gluten free bread was fantastic and didn't fall apart in the slightest. We also ordered the strawberry and apple crumble which was really good! The restaurant was definitely good value for money and we would go back again!

Delicious Vegetarian Friendly Dinner!

By lilacgirl41 |

I was really suprised by the Little Beet Table......seasoned almonds, roasted brussel sprouts, crispy rice, and lettuce wraps.....all just delicious, fresh and well presented. The dessert menu looked amazing, but just too full to partake. The restaurant looks tiny from the outside-its on Park Avenue South-but it has a really happening bar area and the restaurant is larger in the back. It is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Make a reservation as it was packed on a random Tuesday night. Nice vibe, nice service and wonderful food.

Nice food, pleasant vibes, and all-around fun vibe.

By dieswaytoofast |

It's - ostensibly - a gluten-free joint, but don't let that dissuade you. The food is spot on, well made, and you'd never know it was gluten-free if you didn't read the fine print somewhere. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and happy to chat (which makes this a great place to just hang out!). The food is seriously delicious, well made, never over-done, and just the right portion size. Oh, the lunch crowd seems to be a bit of a "see and be seen" thing, but thats ok, it just adds to the charm 😀

Fresh tasty ingredients and dishes

By USCKaboom |

The Little Beet Table is a great spot for brunch or dinner. Easy enough to make a reservation. Service is fine. Food is quick to come out. American cuisine with fresh ingredients. Lots of options, many healthy too.

Really nice night out

By Arvind M |

Little Beet table was an overall great night out Pros: 1). Salmon was amazing - really well prepared dish and great flavor 2). Drinks were great - particularly for those that like gin. Try the cucumber gimlet! 3). Servers were very attentive and on point 4). Hummus was really good - must have Cons: 1). Snapper ok but not nearly on the same level as the Salmon 2). Desserts are just ok

Night out

By Alfredo8074 |

Read about this restaurant and wanted to visit. Starts tasting their bar gin with a gimlet and a straight gin on the rocks. Ordered the pea guacamole and it was delicious, certainly different from the avocado guacamole that one is used to eating. Then tried the cavatelli pasta on red sauce and eggplant. Delicious. Ended the dinner with a brownie with ice cream that was certainly a WOW. In all, a very nice place, crowded, loud, but excellent service.

A seasoned wait staff willing to please!

By mez824 |

A lovely little place on the East side offering healthy and delicious foods with a casual but city-chic atmosphere - My only disappointment was the 2.5 oz. perfectly measured vodka martini that was poured at the bar and presented to me in a glass that was less then 3/4 full. When asked why she did not fill the glass for an $18 martini, I was told that it was the standard 2.5 oz drink. A rip off and for that reason alone, I won't return. The waitress, Daphne,on the other hand, went out of her way to make sure that nothing I ordered contained garlic for which I have a dislike - The service was good and like most NYC restaurants, the prices were not low - but a nice night out with a friend visiting from the west coast -

Really nice

By Gabriel M |

Nice place to eat … delicious food. And I take the opportunity to excuse me. I have done a mistake with the bill and the tips. Sorry about that and god bless you.

To late for coffee. Soup fab

By Kiwionwing Morton |

No soup Nazi here, friendly fun service, clean toilets. I thought I was on Broadway. They are making food like crazy for a catered thing tonight. Healthy taste same time

Fresh satifying food

By kimwill725 |

I took my sister and friend for lunch as they were in the city on one of the hottest days of the summer. They had the cucumber lemonade and watermelon juice drinks and found them quite refreshing. All the food paring was great and we were quite surprised at how good the pea guacamole tasted. Can't wait to go back.

Dinner delight.

By Elad R |

Ok 2 GF people + 3 non. Our 3non food sensitivities people were amazed. Our 2 GF people smiled in delight. This place is simply DELICIOUS. Apple cider yum. Sunflower Humous, guacamole n chips very good. Fish tacos yum yum. Black bean burger great. Salmon and GD pasta a def yes. Dessert chocolate cake, who would ever think it’s GF. The world of food is changing rapidly and The little beet table is listening and we are already planning a return visit.

wow, very good!

By vtfoodsnob |

100% gluten free! I had the burger , my wife had the black bean burger and we both ate the brussel sprouts. Loved every bite. Would like to take away a star for not taking legal US tender(cash), but everything else was great.

Great place for lunch

By Claudia H |

This restaurant , i would say is a very good choice for lunch . They have a lot of salads and healthy meat dishes which are perfect for a light lunch. Very great ambiance , nicely decorated place and tables are a little more spread out which is very unusual for New York City restaurants. The service was excellent, the food was delivered in a timely fashion and portions are perfect. Shishito peppers and the sweet potatoes were our favorites. Reservations is not an absolute must, we just walked in. Prices are moderate to high.

Very yummy lunch spot

By Steve S |

Met family here for a quick lunch. In the world of fast food this is a god send. The Asian salad bowl with chicken was absolutely flavorful and delicious. Highly recommended by very expense.

Disappointing - left Hungry

By Susan T |

Really disappointed in this restaurant. It seems like a great selection for myself and friends some of who qare vegetarian and some who aren't. And we ordered an assortment of appetizers and main courses. The biggest disappointment was the fish. Well cooked but the piece was about 2" x 4". And at over $30 an entrée it was a criminal as far as I'm concerned. To have a 2 course meal that for four people ran over $300 and leave the restaurant needing to go get a snack afterwards is just ridiculous. I suggest reconsidering your portion sizes and make them commensurate with the prices you are charging

Great healthy menu - very delicious!

By barbj2014 |

Love this restaurant. The menu has many things that sound amazing, i have a hard time selecting which entree i want The guacamole is a huge hit. They have a bar but only serve organic wine and beer etc. you cant go wrong with the food here but the casual atmosphere feels best for brunch or lunch.

Delicious plant based option and yummy clean protein options & wildly gluten free!

By Catherine S |

This place is adorable. The kalette vegetable dish was outstanding as well as the shrimp appetizer. This is a perfect spot to dine with friends and share dishes -- we wanted to order everything! Almost everything appeared to be gluten free - vegans, pescetarians, carnivores unite.. this place has fantastic options for you!

Healthy Eating With All The Flavor

By sprungonfood |

So, I eat plenty of “fun” food, aka, junk. And, that’s totally fine (according to me), because I balance it out with healthy foods. The Little Beet Table recently opened up in Flatiron, focusing on gluten free, wholesome cooking and healthy eating, so, I had to check it out. The wooden clad, minimal aesthetic is warm and sleek, and everything on the menu looked great. Nothing says kicking off a healthy meal like a cocktail, right? Whatever. I ordered the Campana (milagro tequila, jalapeño, sriacha, cointreau). I really liked this one, it starts off a little sweet, but you get the kick from the jalapeño right away. It has a great balance, not too sweet and not too spicy, but will warm you up for sure. Then, to start, I had the Vegetable Crudite (mint raita and roasted red pepper hummus). I shared this starter, but it’s not a bountiful dish, so, it could totally work as a solo appetizer too. However, it’s full of flavor, and the colorful veggies and delicious dips make it a really satisfying starter without ruining your appetite for the rest of the meal. For my entree, I ordered the Slow Cooked Salmon (avocado caponata, pistachio and black olive oil). I loved this. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the slow technique really keeps all of the juice in, leaving you with a very flavorful and tender piece of fish. The salmon sits atop the avocado caponata, with chopped eggplant and veggies, somewhat similar to a ratatouille. The flavors are savory, and the dish is light, but substantial at the same time. Solid new American

By USCKaboom |

The little beer table has fresh modern new American food. It’s a go to brunch spot for us. Healthy enjoyable food.

Delicious, Healthy with Communal Ambience

By TheMusiks |

The food quality was beyond question. Fresh vegetables and beets presented so deliciously. The service was very good and the red snapper I ordered was delectable. All for a very reasonable price.

Excellent farm to table restaurant

By sun245 |

Wonderful small restaurant with delicious food and desserts. Interesting cocktail list. Excellent service.

Best Vegan DIshes!

By Nena X |

This place has an amazing bartender, tasty drinks, and delicious vegan options on their menu. I always order their Cauliflower Hummus & butternut squash soup. This lace never disappoint. They do change their menu along with seasons but no matter what season you eat here, you will not be disappointed!

Great range of food, excellent service

By Hutty69 |

If you are looking for a place that can satisfy everyone from vegan, to glutten free, to a meat eater this is the place. Service was excellent, meals were lovely and solid drink selection. Waitress recommended the Cauliflower humus for an appetizer and it did not disappoint. Not too big or loud or a restaurant, makes for an enjoyable setting to eat before heading out for a night in the city.

The best naturist restaurant in NY

By Aubrey Villegas |

Excellent place, the truth is that it was a pleasant surprise, the food was all healthy and delicious. In fact, the pizza I ate is among the 5 best I've ever had. Special mention for all the staff who are super friendly and the manager Jarvis who very cordially helped us with the language since he also speaks Spanish. I recommend the place 100%

great place for lunch

By albertthedentist |

Restaurant is nice in that the tables have plenty of room around them. So you aren't bunched too close to others. Food seem really farm to table. Fresh . Menu was very creative and lots to choose from. Service was excellent.

Tasty gluten free food

By tallmich |

We made a reservation in advance and we were glad that we did. It was a Tuesday night but FULL to the brim. Most people made a night of it, enjoying glasses of wine and staying for hours. We just wanted dinner and had to wait a very very long time for the meal. Although not a quick evening we loved the food. It was hot and tasty. It was expensive and the ambiance in the restaurant is loud but a great sit-down gluten free meal!

NYC after Fashion Week Lunch

What an amazing restaurant Great ,friendly ,professional staff.Amazing food and a great atmosphere .Highly recomended .Great place .

The DIP!

By Easton E |

Pros: I HIGHLY recommend the dip trio. It’s amazing. I couldn’t decide which dip I liked better! I love this restaurant because it has vegetarian/vegan and meat-eater, or pescatarian options. It can satisfy any dietary restrictions. The cavatelli was good and had a surprisingly nice kick to it. If you like some spice in your dish, I would recommend this. This is a great spot to go with a group. I went there on a date, it’s a great spot for that as well, however it can get pretty loud during prime time hours. Cons: The roasted shrimp salad is delicious, however, it is way to salty. If you order this I would recommend asking for no salt. It doesn’t need any, it’s yummy!

Little Beet is a Big Treat

By Jemako64 |

Met a girlfriend for lunch. Great ambience, friendly staff and fresh, delicious food. I had poached shrimp wraps appetizer and cucumber gazpacho. My friend had the cauliflower steak. Highly recommend all. We finished with a yummy latte. I will find an excuse to return soon!

Gluten Free !

By Dougiepc |

Everything is GF which for two of our four group was perfect . Food was generally very good all round ,tasty dishes ,salmon , burgers etc . Bit on the pricey side . Would have got 5 stars but for our rather uninterested waitress who was on the surly side .

Great place for dinner

By Gemma V |

Great restaurant with a fun vibe. The food is delicious and it was only upon arrival we realised it was Gluten free (a friend had booked it) Great wine, great atmosphere and very very tasty food which didn't feel like it was lacking any Gluten input! Would highly recommend to all friend - Wheaty or not!

the food and service is good

By Jonathan c |

This is the first time that I have been there. The service is awesome. The waiter asked do you want individual or family style meals. Then all of us decided to have individual meals. The meal was awesome. I had almonds, olives and snapper. It was awesome and that the prices are great and gluten free restaurant.

Great little restaurant!

By Jo B |

My husband and I made out second trip to Little Beet Table, while on a visit to the city over the Holidays. My husband had the Crudité Platter as an appetizer, which was as large as an entrée, and I had the White Bean and Kale soup. While not a kale lover, it was delicious in the soup. I chose the Seared Salmon as my entrée, which was served with warm lentils. My husband has the Fish Tacos, and we shared a side of Brussel Sprouts. We enjoyed our meal immensely, the service was excellent, and we will definitely go back!

Great Gluten Free Restaurant

By Mrswynne84 |

This was an amazing find. We are a couple and one of us is coeliac, and we are from the UK where some restaurants are still slow to provide decent gluten-free alternatives, so when we learnt there was a 100% gluten free restaurant in New York we had to try it. The restaurant is very nice inside and the staff are very good. There are lots of interesting items on the menu, and the food we had was tasty. Our only gripe might be that as they didn’t have in all the ingredients for a salmon entrée that we wanted, they offered an alternative of salmon with some side greens. This turned out to be a little bland and a little over-priced for $20. The food which was as per the menu was excellent, though, with generous portions. Overall, a good experience.

Wholesome food in NYC

By Sungr8t |

The little beat table is excellent! We had their hummus appetizer, garden fresh salad with chicken and their burger. All were very delicious!!! Great place for lunch or dinner

Excellent and tasty food

By SteveParryHK |

Love this place, great fresh and tasty dishes. Professional and friendly service, and pleasant surroundings. Will visit again for sure!

Fab

By Nythfa |

Booked an impromptu meal here after passing the restaurant earlier and thinking the menu looked interesting. We were certainly not disappointed to be eating here on our last night in NY. The food was excellent and the green preservation cocktail superb. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the service was good.

Solid Choice

By cdlanger |

We stumbled upon this place while out for an afternoon walk and made reservations for dinner. The menu is very fresh and made from local ingredients. Not your typical Manhattan restaurant. I had the Beet and ChickPea burger, which was lovely and would have been even better had they left off the sauce like I had asked. It has a great atmosphere, however, the service was mediocre. Our waitress wasn't really too in to giving suggestions, basically less than personable. The food was good, the wine was good, the location is great, the atmosphere is fun, but don't expect much from the staff.

Lovey space and service; food somewhat less interesting

By Jcatharine |

The space is beautifully lighted in the evening and the tables are nicely spaced. The service was top notch. I wanted to love the food but it was just good, not great. Our group tried the hummus (pretty good), the beet falafel (spicier than expected), the pizetta (okay), the guac (okay), the caesar (super fresh but a little boring), shrimp tacos (pretty good), and the comped (for some delay which was nice) sweet potatoes (good but also a little boring). Maybe the entrees are where it's at? Would try again for ambiance, service and the hope for the entrees.

very good gluten free food

By marktimeny |

I've had dinner here twice and enjoyed the food and the service both times. The food was tasty and well prepared, including the desserts. The service was polite, friendly and competent. The decor is attractive but simple, not fancy or elegant. Some of the seating is at communal tables, some of tables are separate. There is a comfortable bar that has a good selection of wines, gluten free beers and liquor. My vodka tonic was made with a high end bottle of tonic water that I had not seen before. One criticism, the size of the main dishes was a little bit on the small size. If you come here hungry, you will probably want an appetizer and/or dessert along with your main course. The pricing was about the same as some more elegant looking NY restaurants so I felt they could be a little bit more generous with the portion size. I know gluten free food takes a little more care and some of the ingredients cost a little bit more. But my girlfriend ordered salmon with baby bok choi and got one little stalk of vegetable. I understand salmon is expensive but why not give a whole plate of bok choi? All in all, its a good restaurant with well prepared, tasty food and good service. If you are on a gluten free diet, I highly recommend it. If not, I can say it is good but there are other good restaurants that give you more for your money.

Great concept but they don't pull it off

By Lesley K |

Farm-to-table type food in a ridiculously noisy restaurant. Can not make conversation with anyone at your table without screaming. Food has potential to be great but the chef must be missing his sense of salt...WAY TOO SALTY! If the food is good, it shouldn't need to be salted like that! I even went back a second time (I really wanted to like it) and asked for food with no salt...they nicely said okay but the food came with even more salt on it than the first time! And, to top it off, it is super expensive. Because of those three things (ridiculous noise level, over-salted food and very expensive), I highly DO NOT recommend going here.

Great seafood

By drivewithaloha |

One of the most amazing places I've had dinner in the city! The food was amazing and the service was excellent. I had the scallops and my husband had the salmon- both were amazing. If we lived here, I would imagine we'd come often.

Safe for Celiacs

By GoSeeGlutenFree |

Nicer version of their take out sister restaurant. Great for drinks, small meals, or a full meal! Must try the crispy rice. The whole place is gluten free and Celiac safe!

great find

By dese2 |

Ate here as an alternative when our first choice place had a half hour wait. How lucky for us. What a cute little find. Service was prompt and attentive. This restaurant has a small doorway and sign. Look for it if you decide to give them a try. I didn't realize it when we entered, but they offer gluten free and farm fresh, locally sources food. For NYC it also seemed a bargain. Four of us ate brunch for only about $25 each. And two of us had cocktails. I had the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice for only $6; delicious. Two in the party had the salmon scramble; eggs with cured salmon. They both raved. Another table mate had grits with mushrooms. Again, she raved about her dish. We had a side of bacon to share. I had the market salad. It was large and fresh. There was lettuce but also a bunch of other vegetables, including one of the most delicious cherry tomatoes I've ever tasted. The dressing was light and complimented the salad. They offer a variety of beverages from water to cocktails. The place is cutely decorated with plants and a somewhat industrial look. When we were there it was not busy. So, if you don't want to wait and want some healthy, fresh food give them a try.

okay

By Ali D |

The Little Beet Table was not what we were expecting but the food was still very good. The shrimp quinoa salad was fresh and filling and while the toast was 7$ in and of itself, it was pretty delicious. The grits were great.

Nice take on the usual Mexican/Mediterranean food fare

By Jaffathecat1 |

We were looking for something that catered to veggie/fish lovers and were not disappointed by what we found. The restaurant was busy but not too loud. The menu is not extensive but caters for most tastes. What really stood out was the attentive nature of the service. My food intolerances were happily accommodated & the server simply asked the kitchen to cook accordingly. For a restaurant quite high up the TA listings in this area it was also reasonably priced. My only suggestion was that the lighting is quite dim, making it harder for us older folks to read the menu! Would definitely return when we're next in the area.

Overall very nice visit - good food, helpful staff, addressed dietary restrictions

By Michael B |

Live in NYC, decided to try this place after reading online recommendations. Glad we came. Wife avoids dairy, gluten, soy, so eating out can sometime present challenges. Not here. Server was great at checking and communicating ingredients. Had a wonderful hummus appetizer. Server asked if we wanted vegetables on the side for dipping,..it was a little deceptive since we later noticed an upcharge for that...but that was really our only complaint. My dinner of tacos carnitas was a little small, but very tasty. Wife had a burger...bun has soy. Apparently their pita does not, so I’m not sure why they didn’t ask if she wanted the burger on a pita,...but she was pleased with the burger and salad. Had a juice cocktail which wasn’t quite as tasty as it sounded or looked, but it was fine. Good food, reasonable prices for Manhattan, friendly and helpful service - we will definitely return and are glad to have an allergy-friendly option midtown east side.

Quirky Food Options

By MKJourneys |

Looking for Sunday Brunch option we found Little Beet on Park Ave. The menu is limited but offers new twists and new options to brunch . Shakshuka baked eggs came in mini pan and had nice flavor kick to it. Banana bread had a to die for hazelnut spread.

Little Sums It Up

By STUNNING212 |

I had high hopes for this new restaurant. The Maitre-D's were great, but I can't say that for the rest of the place. Don't go there hungry--the large portions are less than kid size & my waiter took my beverage away without asking me if I was finished with it. Food was barely cooked & looked like less than something I'd buy at Whole Foods for a quick snack. IF you're going to go after work for drinks, fine...food, NO.

I went back today for lunch

By nycmom22 |

The menu had some new offerings. I was delighted. First the crudité platter for $15 (for two to share) with two delicious dips. This was a still life, so pretty I took a photo. Then I had the roast Brussels sprouts with pork and chili-yum. I suspect the ones without pork but with lemon are good, too. And the sweet potatoes. Melt in your mouth. Let's just say I'm happy to be returning Friday. It was a little loud for conversation. Nice seating around the bar for dining.

Sensational seasonal food

By ConduitConsulting |

The Little Beet Table's entire menu is comprised of seasonal locally-grown natural food. All items are gluten-free. This is not a hippy-dippy place. The Little Beet Table serves fantastic tasting food beautifully presented that just so happens to also be healthy. Plus, it offers an extensive wine list. The menu includes both "vegetables" and "sides". The vegetables are intended to be appetizers, but also could be a side dish served with entree. Sunchoke with cranberries appetizer texture, color and flavors made it the highlight of our dinner. The Tuna Tataki can be an appetizer or small entree. Three of us shared brussel sprouts and mushroom sides. The sea bass was better than in most upscale restaurants. The quinoa risotto was hearty, creamy and the best quinoa dish I have ever tasted. For those allergic to cow's milk, don't get too excited about the "sheep's milk riccota cheesecake on the menu. We were disappointed to learn in contains cow's milk as well. There are four larger communal dining tables in the middle of room surrounded by two-top and four-top tables. WIth cement floors and little upholstery, the otherwise romantic ambiance is lively. Should you wish to have an intimate conversation, request one of the perimeter tables.

Still love the place but...

By acl1717 |

Its a celiacs place to go, but what happened to the menu.... I am a die-hard NY'er who moved out of town. The menu continues to change and not for the better. The chicken is still great and so are the veg but the tweaks to each are not. Where is my chocolate mousse??? And what did you do to the hummus? I understand new chefs wanting their twist on things but... seriously?!

Veggies can be filling!

By ElizLynch |

We wanted to try so many things on the menu that we ended up way over ordering and taking some home. But it was worth it! Everything was so delicious, and the servers are very knowledgeable about the menu. The carrots were our favorite!

Great brunch with generous portions

By USCKaboom |

The Little Beet is one of my go to lunch spots. So we wanted to try the Little Beet Table for brunch. Reservation was easy to make. It’s a nice open space. The kale salad was very good and huge. I had the mushroom and cauliflower tacos. Very flavorful and a large portion. The chicken sausage was excellent. And I tried the chilaquiles which were also very good. Service was a bit slow but overall very good.

A wonderful experience !

By Judy J |

Their staff is very knowledgeable about about food allergies and sensitivities. The food was very tasty, lots of choices and the servings quite large. I definitely will return on my next visit to New York.

Love this place!

By Philip L |

It's just so good, so simple, and so pleasant! And if you're trying to be as much a vegetarian as possible, this is the spot.

Gourmet All-Gluten-Free Cuisine

By Andrew K |

What a find! A shared Falafel appetizer, two (vegetarian) Reubens, Gelato, wine and brandy, made for a very satisfying and safe meal for me. Even my wife, who eats anything, said we must come again.

Who knew it was gluten-free? Such good food, I bought the cookbook

By NYCandCT |

I am not a gluten-free adherent, but my lunch companion was, so she picked the place. Try Slow Cooked Salmon or Cardini salad. Everything was so fresh! fresh! fresh and yummy looking I wanted to order everything everyone else had. I was so taken with the place, I bought the cookbook and slowly trying every recipe. It is such a great place.

Cheeky President's Day Lunch!

By Paul E |

Decided to have lunch at this, slightly hidden, venue yesterday. I must say the food is fresh, crisp, and totally yummy. For starters, the Little Gem Caesar Salad. It's your typical Caesar, but with a twist of turmeric chickpeas, radish and basil. For the main course, the Crispy Salmon, which had creamy celery root, apple chunks, watercress and really lovely curried almonds. May I say, the salmon was cooked to perfection. The dessert order was Banana Bread, which was served with delicious hazelnut butter. Again, very tasty. I would most definitely recommend this joint. Enjoy!

Good food but way too noisy

By btandwn |

The food is excellent and very unique compared to what else is served in town. The location I did not like at all: it is quite dark and way too noisy - you can hardly understand your neighbors and on top of it there is also music playing. The ceiling is quite high up, so why did they not install some noise insulation?

Never ate so well as a vegan

By Avi Vach |

I went to eat with a few colleagues and was surprised that I didn't miss any protein or anything the entire meal. It was delicious - and I currently go back all the time craving their various vegetable dishes.

Lunch at the little beet table

By Avi Vach |

I had the pleasure of experiencing the little beet for lunch over a business meeting. It was truly a comfortable and delicious experience. I never thought I would crave vegetables but after having a few of their appetizers I really woke up with a craving of roasted vegetables. Good job, great food and great price!

Gluten free

By casnco |

So the entire place is GF!!! This is upscale. Everything looked wonderful! I had a salad with sesame chicken. Soo good! A little 🌶 which I like! The staff were friendly and quick. At 13:30 there was a 30 min wait. Might be wise to make reservations.

Great Gluten-Free Restaurant

By David E |

We're always on the lookout for GF meals as it's very hit or miss and my wife has Celiac. This place is 100% GF with a very inventive menu. Japanese pumpkin soup, cauliflower hummus with great bread, shrimp curry appetizer, and pork tacos were top notch. The red snapper entre was tasty but way too skimpy with the fish. Tres leches cake also good but sorbet didn't fit and should've been a gelato. Service and atmosphere excellent--highly recommended with just a few caveats. Not cheap though ($200 with tip).

A great option for all dietary requirements

By AAndTMD |

This would not be the usual restaurant I would choose, but we were dining with a vegan, and were looking for someplace to please the wide range of dietary likes (carnivores, to fish only, to vegan to gluten free). Little beet table sounds like it would be vegetarian only, but they have some really outstanding seafood, and even decent meat options. The prices are reasonable, good service, a bit loud (which can be a plus or minus depending on your likes). So... great place for anyone, and a really great place if you need to please a wide variety of diets!

Farm to table and allergy friendly

By USCKaboom |

Good meal. They were very accommodating of my dinner companion's allergies and had lots of options for her (dairy-free and certain nut-free). The spiced almonds were great as were the sunchokes. The chicken was good and the mushrooms were fine.

lovely

By Joanna R |

had an absolutely delicious lunch at the bar. friendly staff, delicious menu with many healthy options. Bloody Mary equally delicious as my Caprini salad which I highly reccomend.

Delicious food...totally gluten free. Was quite noisy, sat near the front of restaurant, had previously visited and sat nearer back- would prefer to sit further back in future. Waitress a little too quick, but was fine waiting for us to decide. We had the New York strip steak and the chicken, with sides of beetroot and broccoli. The sides were divine, especially the beetroot, the mains absolutely delicious. Dessert, I had the mint chocolate chip ice cream with cookie crumble and chocolate sauce- this was lovely. My partner was disspaointed by ice cream/sorbet choices, so decided against and shared mine instead. I had two gin cocktails, the first divine, the second was far too strong- quite undrinkable....so didn't manage it all, overall the food is excellent...go careful on the cocktails (choose wisely as some are strong), service was good. Excellent for a coeliac.

Awesome!

Really great menu, perfect for special occasions. Also excellent for gluten free options. Waitstaff was outstanding, very attentive and didn't hover needlessly. I've been there twice and was consistently excellent!!

Favorite Lunchtime Place Near Madison Square Park

By Christine B |

Great salads and vegetable dishes particularly the charred sweet potatoes and broccoli. This is my go-to place for lunch with colleagues and friends. Knowledgeable staff who are not shy to make recommendations. The meals are always satisfying.

Amazing!

By Amy P |

The salmon was hands-down the best I've ever tried! We had to wait quite a while, but worth it. The environment is also great. Definitely recommend, even if you aren't gluten free (which I'm not).

Awesome vegetables, but WITH other things!

By artisanware |

The Little Beet Table is not strictly a vegetarian restaurant...but the vegetables they offer are incredible! I had the scallops...they were to die for! Everyone in our party enjoyed our meal. The service is great. It can get a little noisy...for us...we are older...that's a problem. But I doubt it is too noisy for most diners. It's just real good.

Great healthy choices

By dbrown46 |

This is a full service restaurant--not to be confused with the midtown Little Beet. This is a very comfortable restaurant--cozy but not tight seating-with knowledgeable servers and very healthy choices. The entire restaurant is gluten free. We thought the dishes with shrimp were outstanding. Soup was just OK--a little weak. Salads were very interesting. Desserts were overpriced and did not sound exciting. We did not have wine but the choices looked good. We would definitely return since it was very appealing.

Amazing options if you are gluten free

By Lauren I |

The entire menu is gluten free which makes it so easy when ordering. I will definitely be going back. Highly recommend the Caesar salad.

Perfect Dinner, cozy spot, attention to detail.

By loribaus |

The meal was perfectly prepared and flavorful. I had the mushroom black bean burger and my husband had the hamburger. Delicious. Added attention to detail - my hot pot of tea came with a warm mug so the tea stayed hot once poured.

Good food and atmosphere

By Anastasianylon |

The menu here is at fist glance is limited but on closer inspection it is filled with variety and delicious combinations. We started with the olives, sticky rice and sashimi and shared the pork tacos and red snapper. For dessert we had the apple cobbler and berries with coconut cream. Everything was fresh and such a range of flavors. Service was good and even at full lunch capacity we could have a conversation.

Delicious!

By SusanNYC_12 |

Really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. I had the autumn squash with quinoa and shared a scrumptious brownie with ice cream for dessert. Very nice place.

Loved it!

By RayR |

This is a must try place. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable and the service is friendly and helpful - but that is not the reason to go. The food is! Their food is creative and delicious. They have a very "vegetable focused" menu (cauliflower hummus was very tasty and their "cauliflower steak" with green curry and mushroom was outstanding), but they also have ample choices for fish and meat eaters (while we didn't try those, their descriptions sounded equally creative, and the plates I saw at the tables around us and the accompany smiling faces suggested that they were good as well). I will definitely return.

My favorite, in NYC

All Gluten free, Nature, Not very salty Feel like getting healthier!!

Farm to table vegan

By LisaMD2014 |

Early dinner on a quiet Sunday evening. Do not confuse this with Little Beet, a fast casual place with several locations. This is a sit down restaurant w wait staff. It is vegan but the menu options make you forget the missing bread basket. Service was excellent and attentive. Started w the sweet potatoes w smoked sea salt. Tasty but could have used more salt. Didn't really taste it at all. Next was the roasted chicken w carrots and fingerling potatoes. Unfortunately, it was room temp when it arrived and did get much better when we asked to have it heated up. The chicken was very good. Moist and flavorful but just not hot enough. The carrots were almost cold. Did not ask again but probably should have tried to get it the right temp. Dessert was tres leches cake w hibiscus sorbet. Both were delicious but not completely sure they complimented each other. Good wine and cocktail selection. It may have been an off night and would probably give it another try in the future.

Avoid Brunch - terrible service

By Josh B |

Brunch today -- Waited at least an hour for avocado toast that never came. Had to walk out. The place was half empty. Menu looks good, but alas, no way to find out. The manager didn't even apologize.

completely guilt free feast

By Zara T |

This is an extremely delicious and HEALTHY spot in NYC. I would quite literally order everything on the menu. And the dishes really don't disappoint. My absolute favourite is the squash spaghetti – totally guilt free but gives that priceless cheesy pasta feeling. The sunflower hummus and the cauliflower tacos are also high priests.

First class vegetarian (with some meat)

By thewestchestarian |

Truly a hidden gem as it sits in a mostly intact house in Manhattan, so much so servers have to walk dinners up a formidable set of steep stairs. Food focuses on seasonal fresh vegetables and vegan seitan prepared very well. BBQ seitan was al dente and satisfying. The cafe holds a well-curated and reasonable wine list. The space is Manhattan-tight and somewhat worn although this charming to a degree. In short, an actual hidden gem.

Outstanding

By Steve S |

Loved the urban environment, fresh organic food, and overall ambience. Particularly loved the shrimp salad with avacado and grains. The service rocked as well.

Great food and service

By spidergirlBoston |

Went to Little Beet Table for lunch with my daughter. Host and server were very kind and professional. My daughter enjoyed her grass-fed burger very much. Asked for medium-well and it was cooked perfectly. She also enjoyed the cucumber lemonade. Very fresh. I had the baby kale salad and added on 2 eggs and avocado. Portions were generous. I love when restaurants don’t skimp on the avocado! Toasted pine nuts, goat cheese and currants were delicious on the salad. Overall very pleased and would definitely go back!

Neighborhood joint with fresh food and a reasonable wine list

By tms215 |

This is a local restaurant on the East side. The food is well prepared with a slant towards healthy. Reasonable wine list and a full bar. Portions are on the small side but you can’t go wrong sharing a few appetizers. Service is a bit slow but that is fine since you can sit outside facing the sidewalk and enjoy the sights strolling past. It isn’t a destination restaurant but if you work/live in the area, it is a staple

Delicious food with friendly service

By KTandP |

We caught up with friends here for an early dinner and it was a great choice. Not cheap mind you, but delicious food and served by a lovely waitress. She was very patient with us all! The food was terrific, lots of interesting food combinations and lots of veggies. This would be a good choice for vegetarians. Great cocktail menu too!

Salvation!

By TracyZ19 |

I'm allergic to gluten and like to eat naturally and healthy. The Little Best Table is a dream in the midst of a big, bustling city. Everything on their menu is gluten free and their food is organic, fresh and it tastes beyond fabulous. We had the shrimp wraps, chick pea Caesar salad, burgers, and carnitas tacos. It was all delish. Their cocktails are wonderful as well. Price for 4 of us plus 4 cocktails was around $200 so nicely priced. I highly recommend and will be back again.

Sunday Healthy Brunch (non gluten)

A hearty and tasty brunch recommended by local friends. Great juices and a friendly and nice atmosphere.

Gluten-free dining that will please everybody

By Beth M |

Since being forced to eat gluten-free several years ago, eating out is always a challenge and a little nerve-wracking. Not here--it is all gluten free. And fresh, a farm-to-table experience. Casual and not very large. We started with gluten-free flatbread and crudites with, I think, raicha, and the vegetables were unusual and excellent (I may be wrong about the dip)--delicious. My son had the steak, and I enjoyed the slow roasted salmon.

Great menu and service

By Errol T |

This is a great little restaurant. The food was fantastic. I would highly recommend the shrimp salad. Atmosphere is solid and the service professional. Appropriate for people with diet restrictions.

Tastes Great and Good For You

By jot971 |

Healthy choices that taste great. Loved the Baby Kale Salad and Charred Cauliflower. The flavors were outstanding and the food was not smothered in sauces or dressings. Servers offer just the right amount of assistance and efficiency.

A great find

By grgrgray |

Loved the food in the Little Beet, vegetarian with a twist, the twist being that you can add meat if you prefer. Great beer, nice atmosphere and service second to none. Highly recomended

So so good!

By ponrub |

We have been there having lunch and I have to say that I ate the best salad I have ever tasted (the one with shrimps). I wish I had known this restaurant before because I am already leaving the city. I also tried the broccoli as appetizer and the roasted chicken and it was very, very good too. Congrats for the tasty, delicious and healthy food! (You have to open one restaurant in Madrid! ;)

If you like veggies, this is a fine choice

By Ted R M |

Lots of yummy veggies. Cooperative with special requests. Outside seating was closest for the night. We'd definitely come here again.

Savory Vegetarian

By Angeline M |

I absolutely adored this place. I got the cauliflower steak and enjoyed every bite of it! Highly recommend this place for a vegetarian option. The food was healthy, and hearty. Great play on flavors and combinations— will definitely return soon.

Vegetable Focused Amazing Meal

By Preethy K |

This cute restaurant on Park Avenue serves delicious dishes that actually make you want to eat your veggies, in addition to everything else they serve. Everything is made extremely well and tastes amazing.

High quality and delicious!

By Elizmoev |

Great food - My favorite salmon and salad in NYC. Amazing burger. Everything is gluten-free, high-quality and taste incredible. A little expensive but worth it for the great food

Delicious & Healthy!

By kristinahill2016 |

I love this restaurant! Ever since it arrived, I am eager to bring friends and family back again and again. The food is fresh, inventive and even tries to stay on the healthy side. It's great to be able to go out to dinner and not feel like you're making poor health choices. Not to mention everything is absolutely delicious!

Beet The Heat

By MrMeriweather |

The Little Beet is a great option for people who are looking to grab a bite quickly, and/or on the go. If you are health-conscious and looking to have something other than fast food appease your appetite this is the place for you. There is some of the best customer service I have ever seen, portions are great, and it is quick, fast, and filling. There is ease of access with a ramp for wheelchairs, strollers, and handicapable people, as well as ample seating. Located in Flatiron, you’re seconds away from being able to take photos at the Flatiron building after having a meal in an air-conditioned environment

Worth the visit!

By TracyZ19 |

Yummy, fresh, healthy food is the main on this restaurant menu. And being gluten free, one cannot ask for a better environment where you don't have to worry about contamination and getting sick - everything on the menu is GF. The service was superb. From the hostess to the bar staff to the wait staff, everyone made you feel welcome. It was lovely. The food was very good. My salmon done just how I like it and the veggies were roasted perfectly. So why not a five rating? Because I thought the food was very salty and it prohibited me from eating it. Maybe I should have said something, but I had eaten half already and didn't want to cause a fuss. My bad. I'd eat here again, definitely!

Delectable

By ML M |

Delicious fare (kale sprouts and sweet pea hummus were amazing), great service and tasty wine. Worth the trip.

First visit - will return

By nyc2424 |

A longtime customer of first Little Beet on W 50th. Great for delicious lunch pick up. Had a gluten-free friend in town, so decided to try the Little Beet Tablefor lunch. We ordered the ricotta pancakes and an egg scramble. Both were delicious. My constructive criticism to the restaurant is a couple of small things that would improve the experience. The pancakes should be served with a few berries on the plate. The portion is small for the price and it would look better. The small serving of eggs were served with one slice of bread with no butter or jam. They could do better with this. There is a Sarabeth's two blocks away for a much better value, I would still return to little beat table, but would appreciate some improvements

Must try the gazpacho

By Beverlyw8 |

Fresh delicious pre theatre dinner with friends. Service excellent, ingredients fresh and several vegetarian options. Try the cucumber based gazpacho. Delish! Will be back.

Good place

By Thomas |

Good food but quite expensive, not many vegan and gluten free options. Good service, nice staff, nice place. Maybe better for lunch

What a find

By Travelmaven |

Great lunch at the little beer table, we took a bar table and had the prawn salad and chicken sesame salad washed down with a bottle of Gruner veltiner Great vibe and a cool city crowd. Highly recommended 👍😎

Disappointing experience

By Ido8all |

Went with a friend for dinner because their entire menu is gluten free so it met my diet restriction. I ordered the roast Peruvian style chicken which wasn’t properly cooked (very stiff and very red). The waiter took it and said they’ll replace it but basically they threw it to the stove/oven again and thought that it will pick up the cooking from where it stopped Well, not ideal of course and the chicken I got wasn’t not red anymore but also was not soft or easy to it which ruined my experience. The beet salad with quinoa and the cauliflower hummus were nice. The chocolate mouse wasn’t great either. Disappointing experience. I won’t return there again since I wasn’t feeling well after what I ate there.

Good healthy food

By BEAntw |

We were lucky to get a table here without a reservation. It has a nice interior and good service. They have good healthy food with lots of vegetables. I loved my starter which was the beet!

Superb!

By hugmonkey |

My son (who is coeliac) and I were pressed for time for our lunch at The Little Beet on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was full and we sat at the bar. We told our server we were in a rush and the waiter helped us choose something which would be served quickly. We chose the grilled shrimp salad, with avocado, couscous and spiced almonds, and were stunned at how quickly it arrived and then how delicious it was! Full marks to this charming restaurant. Excellent gluten free fare and wonderful service.

Very impressive

By assamese |

Our 1st foray into indoor dining after NYC restaurants re-open. This place is Covid-compliant and more importantly, food/service is great. We had the BAKED BEET FALAFEL ( a little softer/mushy than conventional Falafels), MUSHROOM & BLACK BEAN BURGER and the ROASTED BROCCOLI TACOS. I am not vegetarian, but wanted to try out all the veg options here. I'd not repeat the burger, but the rest were fantastic. We ordered the Banana bread for dessert and had to wait a while before it showed up...guess what ? They brought a whole banana bread (not a slice !) that was freshly baked !! Nice.

Expected more

By NYFoodDude |

So a three rating is the average of 4 for food and 2 for service. (Maybe I should have given a 1 for service). Our waitress was completely inattentive, in fact most of the time nowhere to be seen. The water glasses were empty unless we tracked someone down. The table was not cleared between courses. The waitress barely acknowledged us, and heaven forbid cracked a smile. She looked like she’d rather be anywhere but serving us. The food was good, but there are plenty of places to spend my money and get at least decent service. The dessert we ordered with ice cream must have been sitting in the kitchen for some time because by the time it showed up on our table it was melting all over. The restaurant management should have higher standards, and quite frankly, someone should be watching the store.

Healthy, delicious food

By Florida |

Great overall! Hostess and waiter were both very friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, healthy, and fresh. A pleasant experience overall.

Unbeatably delicious

By Sankarmukh |

We, a party of four, had a reservation at 6:30 pm on Saturday. We were seated right away. The décor is bare wooden tables and chairs. The minimal décor fits the idea of farm to table food. It also has a bar in the front. We had as appetizers: TENDER SHRIMP chickpeas, garlic & chili TUNA TATA K I millet, avocado, tomatoes & charred jalapeño vinaigrette PROSCIUTTO F L ATBREAD arugula, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella & pecorino ROAST E D S U N C H O K E S & BABY L E E K S cranberry mostarda They were all well seasoned and tasty. As a matter of fact, this restaurant is not stingy with oil. For example, I shrimp was drenched in oil and some hot pepper. We had as entrees: QUINOA R I S OTTO seasonal vegetables & mushrooms S LOW COO K E D SALMON avocado caponata, pistachio & black olives W I L D ST R I P E D BASS ALA PLANCHA fennel & charred scallion pebre G R I L L E D S K I RT STEAK roasted fingerling potatoes & chimmichurri and a side of :KALETTES shallot confit They were all delicious and the person who had grilled steak told me it was quite good. For desserts we had: SHEEP ’ S M I L K R I C OTTA CHEESECAKE almond granola crumble & cara cara orange CHOCOLATE MOUSSE chocolate chip cookie & kona caramel CAPPUCINO SEASONAL TEA The chocolate mousse did not blow us away but quite good still. My wife had seasonal tea and she said it was the best tea she ever had. She is trying to find out about that tea and buy. We had as drinks: CAMPANA milagro tequila, jalapeño, sriracha, cointreau MAD MANHATTAN old overholt rye, carpano antica, montenegro amaro, peychauds bitters The menu is relatively small and that is why they can do quality control. The restaurant is on Park Avenue South, where of late quite a number of god restaurants are coming up. Please go and enjoy.

Not vegetarian, but what wonderful vegetables

By bobcrowe |

We visit NYC a couple of times a year. The restaurant scene is overwhelming - where to go? I was browsing online and came across this. My wife loves beets so we gave it a try. Quiet, softly lit room, attentive service. The food was marvelous. I had a baby kale salad that was a new experience. Roast chicken wasn't fancy but perfectly done. The wine list is not long but it's good. Fairly priced for NYC. Highly recommended.

great find

like they shopped at the santa monica farmer's market, with a little hard cider on the side! and happy to see us at 10 pm!

Gluten Free & Absolutely Delicious

By Katherine R |

I do not have a gluten allergy, but this place has become one of my favorite dining spots in NYC. I first booked a table for Sunday brunch because one of my companions is severely allergic to gluten and approached it with trepidation. The granola and yogurt was amazing and the french toast (I stole some of my husband's was delicious. The second time I went was with my 84 year old mother just because I wanted a good place to eat, this time for dinner. The drinks are great and, once again, the food was excellent although the chickpea and beet burger was a little on the dry side. As a note, there is meat and fish on the menu as well and it is really tasty. I am hearing impaired and both times the staff found a nice corner table for me so conversation was easy. The place is not that noisy anyway, especially by NYC standards. The service is also excellent, efficient but not obtrusive. The servers know the menu, serve food and beverages promptly, and do not hurry you at all. They are also really nice. It is also not overly expensive.

Amazing place!

By Edb2829 |

My father and i were out visiting New York and we stopped in for a quick bite to eat at the little beet table. It was so well decorated, the atmosphere was pleasant, the food was quick and delicious, the servers and manager were courteous. We didn’t realize the menu was gluten free, but it was delicious! Best gluten free menu i have ever seen and tasted. We will be back!

nice menu choices for vegetarians

By namanniy |

the food was definitely very good, great choice for vegetarians, especially lick the broccoli pizzeta and the tofu dish had excellent flavours. the rest was good but nothing exceptional worth a visit if you are in the area.

Good not great

By Autumn M |

We went here for lunch and shared two plates. Both were ok not amazing and the lunch cost $30 each. I prefer the little beet to go.

Birthday dinner with family

By Ben H |

My wife, daughter and I went to the Little Beet to celebrate my daughters birthday in NYC. My daughter had wanted to try the Little Beet and it ended up being a great pick. The food was excellent, the service was timely and friendly and the decor has a warm ambience. I would recommend this as a place eat if you are visiting NYC.

Delicious, Light, with Something for Everyone

By PVPTraveler |

From chick pea caesar salad to NY Strip steak, Little Beet Table keeps it light and delicious. Our waitress, Sophia, was awesome, both informative and engaging. I can highly recommend both the grass-fed beef burger and the black bean veggie burger. And everything in the restaurant is gluten free, so if you have a celiac in your group, they dont have to worry about cross contamination.
