We ate here on 3/22. The food was good and the staff was nice. My only problem was that what my husband ordered (short rib) was definitely not a short rib. it was more like ground beef/meatloaf. What was up with that??

We had a fantastic meal at Little Prince. The French Onion soup was excellent and I had the steak and friets. Very tasty. The rest of the table also enjoyed their meals. It's a small place and it gets a bit loud but the vibe is great. Highly recommend.

We had a super experience here as a group of diners. The noise level was quite high but the food was superb and the service was some of the best we had while we were in New York.

Would recommend making a reservation as this place is tiny and fills up quickly. We've had brunch here at least 5 times and it's been consistently good over the past few years. Great cocktail selection as well. Typical brunch menu with a slight french twist. Really nice location in SOHO with a few tables outside if you get lucky!

Little Prince has a warm, cozy ambiance, a very friendly staff and amazing French food! The restaurant is quite small (so be sure to make a reservation) but our table was comfortable and the noise level in the restaurant was moderate. The menu has so many great options that it's hard to choose! The favorites amongst our group were French onion soup, tuna tartare and quinoa salad as appetizers and salmon, duck and steak frites as entrees. The wine list is limited but has several good options at reasonable prices. It was my daughter's birthday and our server came out with dessert singing Happy Birthday and playing the tambourine! There's such a fun and relaxed vibe at Little Prince. We had a wonderful evening and I can't wait to go back!

I went here for lunch and really enjoyed my french onion soup and salad. Really well done and the service was great! @traveleen_gurl

this is the place to be! This place can host 40+ people, but it is as loud as Pastis on a regular evening. We were there on a warm Saturday evening in August, and after 1,5 hours I had to get out. I simply could not bear the noise. Typical New York!? Loud music, not at all attentive waiters, dark interior. Average food…. Never again.

Highly recommend the onion soup burger. Service was fast and friendly and nice selection of local beers.

I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits New York. It was a highlight of our four nights there. Food was fantastic, the staff was attentive and friendly but not overdoing it, the space is adorable. And it's gorgeous from the outside.

Here you will find a dependably packed restaurant on the smaller side. And packed with a few luminary types on the night we visited (Victoria's Secret models, a television actor and a senior dancer with the NYC ballet were all there when we stopped in. So, you get a true NYC experience. Loud, packed, and lively and the food lives up to their reputation. We had a wonderful time here and if you're in the mood for a night on the town, you really can't find a better jump off spot. One of my fave small restaurants in the city.

This French bistro located in Soho is full of charm. It was quaint and cozy. Just what I needed on a cold winter's day. I stopped here for a glass of wine and an appetizer while killing time, so I hung out at the bar. The bartender was friendly and the music was just what I needed. Nostalgic tunes such as "Sitting on the dock of the bay" and "Midnight train to Georgia" oddly enough, made sense here.

I had dinner here not long ago. I must say it was quite magical. The music and atmosphere was amazing. The bartender Mark has a Bloody Mary that just screams have more of me and its conveniently named after him. I was served by a young fellow named Alan who was so personable and nothing short of spectacular. They serve bread with a sea salt butter spread that's throat tickling and completely unlike anywhere I've been. There burger tops the list however. It's full of flavor and so juicy. It comes with a side of fries that if I'm not mistaken has a touch of truffle oil on them that is delicious. There are these large light spheres above the bar that changes colors at the manager Brendan's will. It's visually orgasmic.

This is just the most quirky cool spot . We only managed to get a spot at the bar but we had a superb time . We shared the delicious steak tartare ; the fresh avocado tartine; the cheesy and moreish onion soup and corn salad . All served with crusty bread. We finished off with the decadent Nutella creme brûlée. Don’t miss this gem .

The food here is delicious and the staff are good fun. Drinks are generous. Recommend the Cyndi Lauper cocktail! Great place to while away a couple of hours sampling great food and watching the world go by.

Place is ok - doesn’t know what it wants to be. But, BUT the chilli cocktail was the worst thing to grace my mouth in months. The only flavour was chilli. Chilli and crushed ice. Pointless.

Reserved a table at Little Prince for dinner based on a coworkers recommendation and was very happy with the experience. The space has a quaint, friendly, funky and French inspired feel. The weather was great so the French doors were opened and the place felt even more inviting. The service was friendly and efficient, staff checked in on us at appropriate intervals and made great recommendations. Really enjoyed the Roasted Beet Salad as well as the Kale & Brussel Sprout Salad. The Nicoise Salad was fantastic and the Duck was perfect prepared and delicious. Highly recommend! 👍🏼

Late night dinner with great food and service. Waited 5 minutes and they brought us a comp appetizer.

Lovely little restaurant with good food, good drinks and excellent service. Warm spot on otherwise frigid NYC night.

This is an adorable, romantic little place to enjoy lunch, especially on a Mon-Thursday when it's not super busy but do go by 12:30pm to get a seat by the window/patio if possible. It's just so pleasant with their flowerboxes and the staff are so nice. I had a terrific burrata and grilled peach salad that I'm still thinking about 2 weeks later! But I will say that weekends are not ideal for a peaceful meal since it's very full w/brunch crowd.

Stumbled on the Little Prince restaurant on a cold January afternoon after walking around visiting galleries and shops in Soho. The menu looked good and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. As it was mid-afternoon, my friend and I both opted for their French onion soup with the addition of bits of short rib. (extra cost) It was one of the best onion soups that I have ever tasted in my long life. With a warm roll, available on request or perhaps initially forgotten as the restaurant was busy, it was the perfect choice, worthy of the $17. price tag and quite filling. Viewing the menu choices being sampled by other patrons, I would not hesitate to recommend this place for a lunch or dinner.

We decided to have a date night at Little Prince which turned out disappointing! Dinner was good as was off menu wine!! The restaurant vibe is good and lively until the owner (lady in red) appeared with her posse!! She obviously stood checking to see which tables were ordering and then proceeded to move a table to accommodate her and her friends!!! Really!! We felt as if we were all being rushed to finish up our meals so they could enjoy themselves. Apart from our two waiters the staff could benefit from customer service training. Sorry to be an inconvenience as a customer!!

Nice little spot, especially on a beautiful fall day. Good selection of food, great wines by the glass and very friendly staff. Hard to beat for an enjoyable lunch.

Little Prince is a tiny bistro in Soho serving dishes that can be found at the very best restaurants in town. Their onion soup is the best I’ve had anywhere. The steak frites is just right. The duck a l’orange positively soars! The sauce, served on the side, is deeply flavorful and not cloyingly sweet like so many. The duck, sliced, is medium rare and surprisingly tender. As if the meal couldn’t get better, dessert was a small individual carrot cake topped with a disc of frosting with a ball of homemade cinnamon gelato. There were no dissatisfied diners.

Happened upon this resturant with a friend and had the good fortune to have small cozy table outdoors, in perfect sept, NY evening weather. Vibe indoors nice too, with mellow music wafting through . The quinoa salad was very tasty and the two mains were abundant (a rare quality in a French bistro) and well prepared. My friend had the skake in butter/capers and I had the bistro roast chicken which was terrific: juicy and perfectly cooked (tasted like made under a brick). Our Aussie waiter was sweet, and I would have given this place a 5 but other service people not up to par, only one small baguette was offered (and we had to request butter), and no sweet & low for the coffee. Prices very fair for neighborhood esp when compared to other establishment across the street

Darling bistro in Soho. Sat outside which was lovely. Based on other TA reviews we both had the stead salad with grilled peaches and frisée with blue cheese. It made for a lovely light lunch. Not a significant amount of steak or peaches or blue cheese. What was there was very tasty but needed more seasoning. Each salad was $24, which I felt was too expensive for what you got.

Wandering around Soho on a Saturday evening, and our party of 3 stumbled across this fabulous find. Modern French with great service and truly simple and delectable dishes all cooked to perfection with a limited, but good wine list to choose from. Seated without waiting long, and with a smile - unlike many other places in Soho that chastise you with their eyes for not making a reservation! Must try! We want to go back already.

Great service! Great Food! We had the French onion soup burger and it was fabulous. The fresh cut fries were awesome as well. Servers were very friendly and right there if our water needed to be refilled. Would highly recommend

Went to little prince expecting local seasonal dishes and I wasn’t disappointed - only issue was deciding what to choose! Went with 3 starters and a breakfast for sharing with my friend Stine. Delicious and filling for getting energy for the day but not too heavy so I can still enjoy a light later!

Love this place! I celebrated my 13 year Anniversary with my partner Saturday 2/25/2017. The food and the portion was great appetizers I had the grilled octopus my partner had the P.E.I. Mussels main course he had the steak and fries, I had The Black Truffle Steak Haché 32 , Great staff, very wonderful. They treated us like an old friend.

Hello, this is the only way I found to contact the restaurant, I came to have brunch yesterday around 1pm (we had the left table outside) and I ordered an Alexander salad. The salad that was served to me contained nuts (although i triple checked on the menu and the salad was not supposed to contains nuts!!) I'm extremely allergic to nuts and had two bites of my salad then gave it to my friend's dog as I couldn't eat anymore and started to feel sick. I did not realize that I was doing an allergy until 15min after we left the restaurant so i couldn't complain live but I did an enormous allergy : my eyes are still swallowed 24hours later, my troat was inflated and painful. It's totally unbearable to add nuts without even asking the customer and this could have beenfatal to me if I did not take a cortison pill right after the lunch, I would appreciate a full refund from my bill and some apologies, thanks for your understanding,

Short 2 days stay in Soho we discovered this little establishment on Prince Street Serving wine and various dishes along with fried artichokes (yum), great onion soup with gruyere cheese, little prince salad and delicious burgers cooked to perfection Tables are close to each other but atmosphere really good. Decor industrial, with cool pictures and really nice decoration for Christmas Be aware only one small bathroom

Went here on a Sunday at around 1 o'clock. The place is very small and was very crowded. Asked for ice tea and don't know what I got. Ordered the burger that is supposed to be one of the best in New York City and it was good but I wouldn't say great. I can market off the list but don't know if I would go back.

We had dinner at the Little Prince. It is a small restaurant with excellent food! The atmosphere is relaxed. We had baked chicken. It was some of the best chicken that I have ever eaten. Large portions!

We arrived to find the restaurant full, it is only small so it was easy to see that there was a full occupancy. Checked in with the Manager and he had to shout above the noise to say a table was finishing up, which just happened to be in the centre of the noise hot spot, or we could opt for a table tucked behind the bar in the window. So we opted for that table otherwise we would have left. The service was OK, I had a salad which would have fed four people, chips nice, I had booked the restaurant because of the rave reviews about the burger which actually wasn't on the menu but was available upon request. My husband had mussels to start which he said were very good and the burger was, in fact, delicious. Not cheap but one of the best meals we had during our stay in NY. However, the noise was utterly ridiculous, customers were yelling at the top of their voices to be heard over throbbing music and New Yorkers are noisy enough at the best of times. Wouldn't recommend unless you have a hearing defect. I have only given three stars because of this.

Want to spend a lovely evening in Soho? Do visit this place! Amazing food, excellent service, drinks and the atmosphere is incredible. We dined there almost every night during our stay in NY. That says it all!

We happened upon this gem on a walk through SOHO and stopped for brunch on a Saturday. The service was welcoming and prompt. We sat at the bar as they had two large groups coming in and there were no more tables available. I had a Bloody Mary - seriously spicy. I ordered the A & A Salad with Roasted Artichoke, Asparagus, and grilled shrimp - absolutely fantastic & fresh. My wife ordered an omelet and it was really great as well. Very cozy place.

Went three times in a short period of time. First time was perfect. Good food and ambiance. Second time, the ambiance was on point but the food was so bad I couldn’t even eat. And third times food was ok but no ambiance whatsoever. Not consistent at all...

Found this gem right around our place. Didnt have a reservation and were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar (which was still awesome) Place has a great atmosphere, and the staff are amazing. Our bartender was very accommodating and friendly too. Now to the food. We decided to share the French onion soup, which I say would have this definitely gives the same dish I've had in paris a run for its money. Our mains of Steak fritz and Tuna Nicoise salad were out of this world. Dont let the simple presentation fool yah, as the flavour with surprise your tastebuds. I would definitely recommend the Steak Fritz as a must when visiting. Now desert we ordered the carrot cake with cinnamon ice-cream...something I've never had before combined and questioned it, but this combo is just mint. 👍 In short, hit this place up if you in the SOHO area...you wont be disappointed.

From the perfect service to the amazing food and wine list, this is nothing short of delightful! I highly recommend the French Onion Soup, Kale Salad and the Hand-Cut fries alongside a glass of wine - so many great options!

On our last trip to NYC, my wife and I walked by Principessa on our way back to our hotel. It looked inviting with its indoor and outdoor seating, so we gave it a try. What a great little restaurant! The menu was not large, but had something for every palate. They also offered a fixed menu with an optional wine pairing, which is what I ordered. The seasonal tomato appetizer was excellent. The plates were well thought out and the food perfectly prepared. Can't wait to come back again sometime.

Looking for a quaint place in Soho....this is your spot! Fabulous food and great service. Our favorites.....Kale & Brussels Sprouts Salad (unbelievable flavor), Steak Frites (cooked to perfection), and Nutella Brule. Definite perfection.

My daughter and I went here for dinner last night. It is a garden oasis. Beautiful flower boxes, bistro decor inside. Restaurant is small so be sure to book a reservation. Staff is wonderful and the food brought back memories of many French classics in France. I had the roast chicken with salad. My daughter had the onion soup and Vietnamese mussels. Delicious. They have some very inventive cocktails on menu which my daughter enjoyed. I got the Aperol spritz...always goes well at a bistro. Despite feeling full from dinner, we decided to go for desserts. The Nutella crime brûlée is sinfully good. The carrot cake topped with cinnamon ice cream also wonderful.

What a great little restaurant. It is small so make a reservation on OpenTable. I'm glad I did as we watched many people turned away or waiting for a table. The menu is very small, but delicious. My husband I enjoyed the quinoa salad with kale-it was AMAZING. The baby brussel sprouts, the beets, the harvest salad and gnocchi were all amazing. The smores pudding at the end topped off an amazing meal. It is open air with limited outside seating, but with all the large doors and window open, it felt like being outside on a perfect Autumn evening. Little Prince is right on Prince Street between Sullivan and McDougal. Charming, Charming, Charming.......great and efficient service too!

Located in SoHo is the little Prince from our point of view a very good bar. The barkeeper serves different drinks and cocktails, besides they serve different beers / ales in a nice atmosphere. In comparison to the drinks are the served meals on an average level, but not outstanding. The same is true for the service staff. Also, the fact that they provide only one restroom for both genders is not optimal.

Great server, only in his third week , wonderful flavours, and good value. Definitely recommend this for a couples or adult family lunch. It would be hard to improve.

Delicious soup, been back for it many times. This time I was on my own, and they wedged me in between two people at the bar with no space, even though I asked for a table. They said no because they have reservations... five minutes later another solo eater came in... no seat at bar? No problem they give him a table without hesitation 😒 and their was a bug that crawled out of my fries...

This is a local neighbourhood bistro in Soho. We noticed it was packed every night we passed it, so it looked promising. It was more than that, the food, the service, the atmosphere; all wonderful. Simple, fresh french influenced food, good value for money and genuinely friendly staff. We just loved it.

Food and service were top notch. The burger was a winner. Very comfortable and fun vibe. I highly recommend.

between several glasses of rose and the excellent food, not to mention the extremely attentive service, a great place to just hang. loved it!

A late lunch so there was no crowd. A tiny place with country charm. I had my standard when going to a place like this, steak frites. Got a carafe of a nice red and a side of roasted carrots. Everything was delicious. The meat was to my liking, along with the rest and the service was very good. I skipped coffee and desert. I will be back.

Wow! If you can withstand the noise level in this restaurant, "You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!" Little Prince is a smart looking eatery situated in SoHo serving delicious food with impeccable waiter service. But what good are these distinctions if your ears are bleeding from diners screaming across their tables at one another? I ordered the Duo of Lamb. It was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. My tasty side of Mexican Style Corn was delivered to the table in its own cast iron pot. The suggested glass of 2009 Bordeaux was a perfect compliment to my meal. My dinner companion ordered Steak Frites (again beautifully presented) which they enjoyed thoroughly. Dessert choices were offered. We asked for our bill instead. We couldn't stay for one more second. Unfortunately I will never return to the restaurant. It was too painful an experience.

Been in the city one month and have been here 4 or 5 separate times. The staff if fabulous and kind. Loved the atmosphere and the food. Recommend it for anyone eating in Soho. Wife loved the shrimp dish and I had something different each visit. All was good. Can't say enough good things about this Little Prince of a place.

This place is more of a frog - I am afraid. In fact that's being unkind to our green pond - hopping friends. The food was terrible and the service ranks as the worst I have encountered in New York. There is SO much better within a few hundred yards that I urge you to hop on by. Such a shame but you'd be wasting you money here.

We had dinner here while we were walking around our hotel. Nice choices of healthy lunch. Good service and nice ambiance.

It is amazing how comfortable one feels in this tiny closet of a restaurant. Under different owners this was once my favorite restaurant but this new iteration somehow feels so much less cramped and fun: fun crowd, fun food and great fun on the winelist. At this stage there are some rocky service bumps but not unexpected; what is unexpected is how polished the kitchen is. Maybe the best steak tartare, ever. In fact every dish is prepared with precision and creativity. My only complaint is the portion sizes vs the price. That winelist though is very well priced and the selections are superb and unusual; you may not have heard of a particular wine but you can be sure that consultant Chris Cannon selected it with care and it will be smack dab delicious.

The room is small and reservations are helpful. However, keep in mind that there is a large charge if you make a reservation and to not show. The menu is small but everything we had was good. The service is attentive.

The food was great, my pork chop cooked to perfection. Although they ran out of beer by 7pm, made up for it with some strong complimentary gin and tonics. Nice local vibe!

The Little Prince has become my go-to place for an intimate, casual business lunch. I hardly ever vary from the perfectly-cooked steak frites (with an incredible meuniere), but the salmon entree and nicoise salad were really just as pleasing. It can get a little tight and loud, but beyond that the setting is charming and the service is impeccable. The vintage books they use to hold & deliver your bill will leave you with a smile.

Great taste, nice place, the appetizers with peach and cheese + Onions Burger was real good, for sure I will be back soon!

Nice atmosphere/ambience - should have just have sat at the bar and had a drink. Service was pretty indifferent, food was very average - mains for four included soggy chips with the meagre steak portion, butter soaked skate, bastardisation of the classic bouillabaise recipe and cold small portions of salmon. Definitely not recommended to eat here and wasn't cheap either.

Sweet little place with warm, charming décor. The twinkle lights on a dark chilly night were just so inviting. A great place to get out of the cold and enjoy some French classics.

Little Prince has changed the intimate French bistro into a Terrible Disco bar of the Neighborhood. The people who work there don’t care about their customers. Please avoid making reservations because it does not matter, we made a reservation for 7:30pm but were not given a table despite tables being open. We ended up walking out of the restaurant at 8:30pm. If you are looking for a real French restaurant with a nice and quiet environment THIS IS NOT the place for you.

Unbelievable. Terrible customer service. I've never had this occur. I had made reservations on Opentable a few weeks ago. I received an email from Opentable the day before my dinner informing me that Little Prince had cancelled my reservation. I called the restaurant the next morning (dinner that night). I was told there was an error in blocking out the time that a private party had bought out the restaurant until 8. But the manager told me that I could come in at 7:30 and he'd fit me in, "even if that means you sit at the bar, we'll make it work". I'm thinking - wow, that was really nice. Never heard or been to this restaurant - only passed it - I like this place already. I show up at 7:40. Not only does he not honor what he told me, he is extremely rude and acts as if he told me that it was clearly 8. Complete jerk that literally came out of nowhere. I don't even think I said anything beyond "Hi, I had called this morning and was told..." to the waitress who greeted me...and he comes running over and throws a rude tone. If he had said, "I'm so sorry, I messed up - we can seat you until 8 - can you come back in 20 min? So sorry...first drinks on the house for the mix up" - that would've resulted in a loyal future customer. NYC is a place with more than plenty of great choices. As a customer, there is no reason to support a local business that is arrogant and lies. It's appalling.

My wife and I are new to the neighborhood. We've dined twice at Little Prince. On each occasion we were greeted by managers (Brandon and Greg) and we had the same server on both visits (Anna). Service was incredibly casual and attentive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is beautiful with lots of flowers and a rustic look. The cocktails were well made (by Mark) who came to our table and asked how I liked my Manhattan prepared. Food was terrific. This is a good find for a local neighborhood gem in an area filled with great dinner spots. Everybody at this restaurant clearly cares about making their diners welcome and appreciated. We think this will be one of our regular haunts!!! Visit.....you'll love it!

Charming small French-ish bistro. Fresh unusual salads and some traditional dinners. Great spot for a summer evening

Food is good but the service has a lot to be desired. I like to take my time and eat but I wish I had my food and drinks sometime during that two hours! We have been here five times at different times of the day because we do like the food but now it's just not worth the effort. We reserved and arrived a little early. They showed us to our seats and went away. We waited for someone to return but eventually had to flag someone down. We gave our drink order and waited some more. Had to flag someone down. Asked for bread they said surely, had to flag someone down later. Asked if we were ready to order we said we haven't seen a menu or heard the specials yet. Gave us our food and asked if we needed anything, I asked for pepper. They went away and I had to flag someone down. On and on through the entire two hours it was the same thing. The manager gave my wife a glass of wine and apologized but didn't even look at me. It's not worth the aggravation, won't be back.

I believe they have fixed the problem with their air conditioning since I was there. The night I was there was really warm with no air conditioning, so it was pretty uncomfortable sitting in a hot restaurant waiting for our food. We ordered and our appetizers came out right away. About 20 minutes later they brought out another appetizer complementary because the kitchen was behind and our entrees were going to take a while. I had the chicken and it was good, it seemed kind of greasy but OK. My dad had the pork chop and said it was one of the best meals he had enjoyed in NYC.

Went for lunch on a Friday in September. Was met by an unsmiling staff member who told me to sit 'wherever I wanted,' even though there was in fact only one available table and we had a booking. Kind of odd. The tables were too close together, and the same server provided sullen service the entire meal. Food was okay. Not good enough to get me to go back.

We'd been meaning to come here for dinner, but found ourselves in the neighborhood with a brunch opportunity, so we gave it a try. We only hesitated because we weren't sure that brunch should be our first encounter with this place since so often brunch is a humdrum experience not representative of a restaurant. Let me tell you - this ended up being just a spectacular, delicious, beautifully prepared meal served by a super friendly and unbelievably attentive server (especially considering he accumulated a lot of tables during our visit). We built ourselves a multi-course brunch. The cold brew iced coffees were full-bodied and not acidic (as cold brew oughta be). Our yogurt/granola/fruit starter was simple but each element was perfectly done. My hubby had their famous onion soup burger with emmental and I had their bistro egg platter. Both were just plain delicious, with attention to detail that you don't get everywhere. At first they didn't really have dessert but then it turned out they had a French toast stick concoction that we shared, marveling at how they managed to make something crunchy and moist and well-flavored when so many places turn out lesser versions. By the time we left the restaurant was packed yet they were handling it all with ease and grace. This is just simply such a good place and we cannot wait to return for dinner, as we promised ourselves once again.

We arrived later in the afternoon had a late lunch. It was not too crowded, which I imagine is quite possible at the noon hour. Had a wonderful french onion burger, which is one of their lunch specialities. Friend enjoyed the salad with Chicken. Nice assortment of beers. Dessert we ordered the gelato (3 scoops), very delicious. Limited dessert menu of only gelato/sherbets. Nice atmosphere. Note they close for a break between lunch and dinner so don't miss out.

Food was fantastic. The space is wonderful and the ambience is great. Young, fashionable crowd and helpful servers. Would happily go back there any chance I got.

We arrive late without reservation. The food was very good. The corn salad with nuts dill and mint was good. Same goes for the eggplant parmigiana and the pasta

Enjoyed a great brunch with a friend on a snowy Saturday afternoon in NYC - had Spicy bloody Mary's and we shared delicious house made ricotta cheese on country bread, a kale and Brussel sprouts salad and their French onion cheese burger. We loved our meal. Carrot cake was disappointing but overall would highly recommend this place Service was friendly and timely, atmosphere was lively with a good crowd and upbeat music.

Mediocre food for the prices they charge.

I live in the neighborhood, and have been to Little Prince three times this month. I simply love it! The staff is passionate and unpretentious, and the food is wonderful! For lunch, I like the onion soup burger (with delish fries). For dinner, you can't go wrong - I love the duck, steak, and salmon. Also, definitely order the sunchokes - best ever! Skip Balthazar, and head down the street to Little Prince.

The space is very cozy and invite to stay; is in the center of Soho. I had the hamburger, which is marinated in french onion soup. Superb! Also try the aperolspritz, a very fresh coctail. Super recommended place to eat and hang out with friends!

My friends and I recently visited NYC and decided to give Little Prince a try. I made a reservation and advised the restaurant that we would be going to the theater before dining and they offered to hold our reservation for us until we arrived. We arrived a little late for our reservation, but as promised our table was waiting for us. The decor is very simple but elegant and we were so surprised when the waiter presented each of us with a flower. Nice touch!! I ordered the beet salad; which was very tasty and consisted of yellow and purple beets tossed in a light dressing. For the main I ordered the evening special of Diver Scallops, and these were cooked to perfection. At first I thought the portion size was a bit small (with only three scallops) but they were really big and once I finished I realized that the portion size was perfect for me. Overall it was an excellent meal and I would highly recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately a rather negative overall experience. What was meant to be and (promised to be by the manager) a special night out with our family and friends became a rather terrible food event. The food presentation had little resembly with what is shown on the website and the taste was accordingly (largely overcooked, sauces that looked and tasted like out of a jar, everything luke warm, ...). Not even our most forgiving friends would ever go there again. The music was so loud that a conversation was impossible. There is obviously a reason that "Little Prince" has not made it even on the lower rating lists of Zagats or Michelin.

While out for a walk with my husband on a Saturday morning we headed from the Hudson River toward Soho. Have dined at places nearby and as we walked by Little Prince on a Saturday morning I could see they were open and serving “le petit dejeuner.” Very warm welcome right away. Lovely menu. I had eggs and my husband had French toast. Both were excellent. The salad that accompanied the eggs was dressed just right. Delicious coffee. Excellent tunes playing at just the right volume. Only thing that could have been better was if we’d arrived soon enough to dine outdoors on their small sidewalk table. It was one of the first gorgeous, sunny, spring mornings. Happy to recommend and look forward to returning.

My wife has been in love with the book & message the “little Prince” leaves the reader & the day we were dinning here was the 75th anniversary since it was written so i thought what a fun thing to do for her. It is a small , very quaint restaurant with an inviting entrance with flower boxes. Tables are close together and paper covered adding to the quaintness. We ordered a few appetizers and all were very good! I am not describing the food because that is not why I’m giving such a low rating. I needed to use the bathroom that was rite next to the kitchen .. you know where I’m going here.. It was occupied so I needed to wait.. There was food on the floor rite in front of me and waiters were going back & forth in front of me without picking it up. I did! Looking into the kitchen it was not that clean either. The bathroom was also not that clean. This sort of diminished the experience. Too bad.. the food was really good. Happy anniversary little Prince!

No bread. No bread. No bread. No bread. No bread. No bread. They don’t give you bread. No bread. No bread. They don’t serve bread. There’s no bread in the kitchen at all. Can you believe no bread? No bread. Food’s great but don’t ask for bread; you’ll get a sneer. No bread.

Little Prince has a menu that offers all your traditional bistro favourites. The setting is fairly open with windows that open up on to the street. It has a casual feel to it. We opted for a couple of reliables: steak frites and roast chicken. Both dishes were satisfying and simply presented. Service throughout by Miguel was outstanding. Laid back but personal and charming.

We were a walk up but managed to be squeezed in on a busy night. We experienced lovely food in a fun setting. The servers were hard working, attentive and friendly.

We walked in very late for brunch on Saturday but after checking with the chef, the waiter confirmed that we could still order food. This was all done very professionally. The server did a great job taking care of us and all three of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Waitstaff seemed confused - obviously interuppted their dinner - so don’t arrive before 7pm - table woobly - had to ask for water and bread - food was good and served hot and fresh - very small restaurant - very stiff chairs - will go back to try again

The ambiance is inviting though the 70's disco music a bit loud. The food was also good. We had the kale, brussel sprout salad and the roast chicken. Also tried the grilled octopus which was just OK. The downside of the meal was the service. Very spotty and inattentive. The waiter seemed preoccupied with chatting it up with other staff and playing with his phone. Fix the wait staff issues, hone customer service, then it's a decent place.

Have always seen this place busy for weekend brunch but never had tried yet. In the summer there are a couple of nice tables just by the sidewalk. Ventured here day after Thanksgiving when it was quiet. Service was good when we arrived, but it got busy by the time we left. We ordered onion soup burger, salmon with spinach, and a side of grilled asparagus. The salmon was seared well with crunch crust and also had a wonderful smoky flavor. Burger came with fries probably some of the best in NYC, were only lightly salted but cooked until crispy. Definitely would return!

My boyfriend and I dined at Little Prince on Xmas Eve 2014. I chose this restaurant because it looked both upscale and neighbourhoody/ intimate - it didn't disappoint. The food was lovely and the service was spot on. It's not the cheapest meal in town - but a fabulous option if you're wanting something for a special occasion.

I visit this restaurant every time I'm in NYC. Service is great for a team of genuinely friendly staff, food is fantastic from their signature "French onion burger" to the many choices on offer. Great wine selections as well and not too pricey. Just love it

This is the cutest restaurant in soho with a great wine list and perfect for lunch with the best salads! I had the steak salad with fresh grilled peaches and a friend had the Little Prince. Everything is seasonal and fresh. Perfect place to stop and take a break from shopping or meet for a business lunch.

A rainy Saturday night, we have a reservation here for 8:30, arrive on time, no tables, have to wait about 20 minutes. OK, it's Saturday night, we'll wait. We're finally seated. The place is very small, and tables are close enough so that you would be able to hear every word of every conversation around you - if the noise level in the place were not deafening. People in restaurants these days just talk at ear-splitting volume; no such thing as an inside voice. We order a bottle of a French wine called Domaine Des Schiste, which Google translates as "shale area." At $45, it's one of the cheapest wines on the menu, perhaps the cheapest, and even so, for that price, it shouldn't actually taste like shale. A terrible wine, and terribly overpriced. We wait a long time for our food. My wife and I could have been talking to each other, except we wouldn't hear each other, so we've sat looking at each other and rolling our eyes at the conversations around us that we can hear. The food finally comes. Onion soup? Flavorless. An octopus salad? Rubbery and even more flavorless. A pot of mussels is fairly good. Steak frites - the steak is about the size of two credit cards, the fries poorly done. The peppercorn sauce is the only good thing about the steak. That and the mussels are the only things keeping this place from getting an even lower rating from me. Dessert? We didn't even bother. All of this for $150 with tip. When we were waiting for our table, the hostess said people didn't want to leave because of the rain. We, on the other hand, couldn't wait to get out.

We booked a table at 10pm, arrived a bit early but were well received at the bar to enjoy a nice cocktail. The staff's attention is very welcoming. It is a vibrant place, young people socialising and enjoying dinner while the well chosen music completes the pleasant atmosphere :-) They accommodate late dinner and even later in the evening, the quality of service and food is still high! The bottle of wine we picked was very favourable priced considering its high reputation.

We walked in at and were warmly greeted. Let me just say the food was amazing. The mussels in a coconut curry sauce was unbelievable and I am a very picky mussel person, they just moved up to my top 5 mussel dishes. What clenched it for me was watching the commodity of the staff. They seemed to absolutely LOVE their jobs. We sat at the bar and it just made me smile to watch their positive interactions. I wish them all the best.

Everything went well in this tiny retaurant in Soho .... from the service to the bill ! Food is gorgeous, cocktails extra and the service professional !

Great atmosphere, yummy food, quaint, adorable, can't wait to go back Except for the bsthroom, really needs a do over

Walking through SoHo/Little Italy, we noticed how busy this little restaurant is every night after 7pm, decided to try our luck, managed to get a very small table, sitting shoulder to shoulder to the next patrons, noisy, exciting, not time for intimate first dates! This is New York, we just love the ambience, many older customers, look like regulars. many youngsters were there, enjoying a drink and food with their friends. The manager and wait staff were flat out but kept the service going with a smile. The food were amazingly good, just the right portion for a late dinner

Decent food in a setting that has potential. Nice but not memorable lunch featured the salmon, olives and burgers. Wine was good. Service is what made us give a lower rating. One of us ordered an iced coffee and an orange juice right when we sat down. The coffee arrived more than 25 min. later and the orange juice never showed. Server was a bit spacy, and she never apologized for the delay. Nice spot if you're in the neighborhood but not worth traveling a long distance. Perhaps dinner might be different.

Completely charmed with Little Prince. It's a low key French restaurant in SoHo. I went in for lunch and had the best burger, but what made me want to come back was a fun cocktail they have called Cindy Lauper. It's Campari and prosecco! Who can say no to that? Also, everyone that works there is super nice. A great choice for a casual lunch or a memorable dinner.

I can't say enough great things about Little Prince. I want to start with service. The owners, managers and staff understand the importance of the customer experience. They make all of their customers feel important. Their staff are polite, attentive and well spoken. There food is innovative, fresh and extremely tasty. Cocktails are fun....try the Cindi Lauper. Forget Balthazar if you want a seriously good, fun french bistro. Go straight to Little Prince!

A nice cute comfortable place to have a tasty brunch or lunch. Just went here last weekend and it was busy so I would recommend a reservation on a Saturday or Sunday. We all had different dishes and each one was delicious--french omelette, baked egg whites and french toast. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service was very good. I would definitely add it to your list of places to eat if you are in Soho.

This was the second time we've been to Little Prince. It is a gem. We arrived early for our reservation, and although the restaurant was full, they made every effort to seat us. They were very accommodating to guests who didn't have a reservation. The food is excellent, and we'll return every time we're in New York

We were there during a birthday party among "the boys", and were delighted with the food but the party went on, and on,and on.....

Went for the first time, but definitely not the last! The staff was so friendly and our server Nicco was amazing!!! The food was wonderful and nothing was rushed. Can’t wait to go again!

Quaint, not "cutesie", Little Prince is a gem in the heart of Soho. Small, well laid out, but a typical Small NYC Restaurant with tables close to one another. However, there is 1 table for 4 that is in a windowed area that essentially is outside and the best seat in the house. We arrived at 7pm and the restaurant on a Thursday was quiet. By 7:30-8pm it was packed. The Muscles are traditional and served in a Le creuset dish. The roast chicken with beurre blanc was outstanding with a simple side salad. Sauted Kale and Grilled Asparagus. Mains range between $25-$33 and sides are $8. Wines start around $50 a bottle. It is really a lovely evening!! Great food, ambiance, vibe and service!! A gem!

This french bistro-style restaurant was a friendly and unpretentious neighborhood spot. Our hotel concierge recommended it when we said we wanted a place that's small, not too dressy, fresh home-made food with vegetarian choices. Little prince really delivered, and the vegetarian ratatouille was divine. - a bit chilly near the window on a snowy day-

Finally got a chance to check out Little Prince. The food was delicious. Make sure you try the french onion soup and the steak! They play great music, and the staff is super friendly. Can't wait to go back.

The service is terrible. They didn´t set the table. The dishes arrived and we didn´t have cutlery on the table. We had to ask for cutlery, glasses and everything was done grudgingly, Even though the restaurant was not full. The food wasn´t tasty! I do not recommend

We stopped by for a family brunch on Sunday. Glad we made a reservation because although empty when we got there it filled up very fast. Our server, Kevin was great along with the rest of the staff. The food was enjoyed by all. The tuna tartare was fresh, and we ordered a third helping if the avocado tartine. The French onion burger was great, along with the short rib hash. I think they are the two most popular items in the brunch menu. The drinks were all good, strong and the French intervention gets a special mention. All in all a thoroughly enjoyed meal by the whole family.

Was looking for another place but I couldn't get in. Little Prince was just there so I took a chance. Wonderful little French restaurant with a nice concise menu and short good wine list. This is a small place but so nice and intimate. It's so refreshing to be able to enjoy the piped in music and this place has wonderful cafe French music. Loved it. Had the steak au pouivre. Great! Service was very good. Would definitely come back This was a real find

When we walked by, I thought I was in France again! It was so precious with the flowers and tables! We were seated promptly as it was not busy, and our water glasses were filled immediately. Then...nothing. It was as if all the staff had blinders on. We couldn't get noticed for love or money! I finally got up and asked the bartender if we could order drinks - and have a menu. He didn't seem shocked or apologetic when I told him that we couldn't get anyone to help us, but gave me menus and told us he would have someone take our order. I did notice that 3 staff members were laughing and socializing at the end of the bar like someone had some really good stories. (probably about the table where 4 people were waving their arms and white napkins like they were surrendering...). I ended up having to go to the bartender again to get someone to help us. When the waiter finally came, he literally sashayed over like he was on a runway, had his nose up in the air and took our order - by memory. Always a bad sign. No apology - but did say "No problem" when we thanked him. (I'm so happy that I wasn't a problem to ask him to do his job.) Long story, but suffice to say he got the order wrong but we decided it was too much trouble and just lived with it. The food was ok but bland. quick menu note - AVOID THE "SMOKED POTATOES" unless you like potatoes cooked and soaked in bacon fat. As a vegan, it almost made me sick, the bacon taste was so strong. Had to interrupt the waiter's conversation to get the bill. But just happy to be leaving. I wont go again - even for the cuteness of the restaurant.

We had dinner here on Thursday, May 8th.The food was delicious. The service not so much.Jamal tried to make the best of it, but when you're the only server in a packed house of about 34 seats you are spread pretty thin. It probably took 15 minutes before we got menus, then another 20 minutes to order. The food did come out in a timely fashion and it was great. We had the roasted carrots & French Onion soup, then Steak Frites & the Skate entrees. My daughter was underwhelmed with her steak, but the skate was one of the most phenomenal restaurant dishes I've had & I am not a fish person.

This restaurant used to be our favorite in New York City. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and then waited 15 minutes after our reservation as people that entered later were seated. We were finally seated simultaneously with an adolescent birthday party of 15 to 20 teenagers. In a small space that could normally accommodate perhaps 40 people, having 1/2 of them attending a teenage birthday party was no fun. Our food took extra long to arrive as they served up the kids. Ouř former favorite New York City restaurant is now tied with Chuck E. Cheese for worst ever.

Stumbled upon this place while walking SoHo and decided to have dinner. Food, service was great! It will be on my SoHo restaurant list for future visits.

The energy is upbeat, the food is flavorful (the fries are killer!) the staff is chill. It all comes together in an attractive Soho-scaled venue (formerly Shorty's) with fewer than three dozen chairs and a snazzy low-attitude little bar. Don't be surprised if your waiter hands you a fresh flower along with the menu.

Nice atmosphere- v French chic. Busy - reservations shd be made. Food is pretty good, service personal

A friend and I were in the neighborhood, stopped in late Saturday afternoon. We were really too late for lunch and too early for dinner, but they were so friendly and offered us a seat at a table, served us wine and light hors d'oeuvres. Friendly service, good wine, nice snack foods, (menu looked good though we didn't eat a full meal), and reasonable prices, especially for this part of Manhattan.

A creative take on French cuisine is what you find at Little Prince, located on a relatively quiet street in SoHo. My friend and I enjoyed brunch there recently on a warm Saturday afternoon, and she suggested we sit on the small terrace to enjoy the beautiful weather and people watching. We shared our starters, as they were each delicious in their own way. I loved the Summer Caprese with di Palo’s burrata, grilled peaches, arugula and balsamic as burrata was as creamy as it should be. The Tuna Tartare with celery root remoulade, tarragon purée was also great and the horseradish toast added a spiciness and crunch that paired well with the fish. For my main dish, I chose the Steak & Eggs with Creekstone Farms hanger steak and scrambled eggs. The steak cooked medium rare was just wonderful in my mouth. My friend opted for the French Onion Soup Burger with gruyère, caramelized onions, dijon, hand-cut fries and garlic aioli, and she was very surprised by how much she liked it. For dessert, we just had to try the Nutella Crème brûlée, which was an incredible take on the classic. Not to forget the chocolate chip cookies and almond milk which was so sweet and refreshing, a great way to end before we enjoyed the rest of the afternoon in SoHo.

I've been to Little Prince countless times and never has there been a time when I don't order their french onion soup burger. Very flavorful and definitely reminiscent a french onion soup. I'm usually not a burger person but this is literally the only place I go for a burger because Chef Matt Conroy and the people at LP are just geniuses. Oh and they have amazing ratatouille too, so definitely give it a try.

This restaurant is the cutest spot on Spring st and there are A LOT of cute spots on spring street. Best for lunch around 1-2pm when it's not too crowded and C list celebrities can be spotted on dates with instagram "famous" people. If you are going for dinner be sure to make a reservation. This is not your grandmas house you will be turned away. I recommend the lobster soup or the BLT sandwich, which they make with a ton of haloumi cheese. It is excessive, but hey so is New York.

Wonderful little French restaurant in SOHO. Great food (Steak Au Poivre) wonderful wine and super service

We decided to take a brake from shopping and grab lunch at this cute eatery. We had ratatouille, Brussels sprouts salad, salad nicoise, avocado tartine and some rose. The food was excellent, but it took a while before it came. The charming little restaurant does a nice job with the food, presentation and quality. But, it can add up as for 3 of us it was over $100.

Fabulous little French restaurant, great tuna tartare, tender chicken and steak cooked sous vide and then finished. Friendly team and the best music playlist!

This is a cozy little place with lots of people. We walked in they were very accomodating the appetizer we took Crudites with Hummus was good. The Bistro eggs and the omelette very average. It is definitely overpriced for the quality of food you get.

Got to the parade way too early, saw the coziness and french flag, walked in... and had some of the best mussels I've ever had. Waited on by nicco, eager to be there and kind to my whole party the entire night, just a happy guy. Great food, cozy ambience... loved it. Will return to this cozy and tasty establishment Merci pour tout, je reviendrai!!!!!

Great place and delicious foods! The waiters are very nice, always smiling and very professionals. First, we ask for a suggestion about the wine and the server helps us giving a good wine as we wanted ! We ordered the French onions soup ratatouille and the duck ..any regret for the choise. I recommend this place !

If you are in the area and looking for somewhere to eat well and sit in comfort this is a good location. The decor is subdued, with a hint of France though not quite sure where. We had various dishes from the brunch menu and it was all delicious and well thought out, portions are small depending on what your order, but we all cleaned our plates. They make a decent Cappucino and this is one good testing point. Service was friendly, although sometimes a little all over the place, but a decent smile and immediate response to requests compensates for this. Clientele was mixed, but clearly attracted and arty/literary/designer crowd (or at least those who aspire to be!). Good for people watching and making up stories of what they might be.

The hamburger was great but the Petit Prince salad with chicken was not. The chicken pieces cut into little squares was fatty and I ate around it. When the wait staff took my bowl he didn't bother to ask why I had left all the chicken behind. Very expensive for what you get.

Little Prince is almost too good to be true: it’s charming; the location is in a wonderful part of Soho; the service is very good. So with all that going for it, perhaps the food is not going to be worthy. Wrong! The food is just as good as the other characteristics. Start with some olives while you enjoy a well made cocktail. Then you’ll find several excellent starters. We had the octopus and the kale salad, both excellent. The duck was tasty and tender and the salmon was much more interesting than the simple description. And for a Soho spot of this quality, the prices are modest. Little Prince is small and usually very busy, but if you can get a reservation definitely go as you’ll be getting atmosphere, location, a very good meal and you’ll be treated like a valued customer. Any two of these would normally be a successful meal out; all four at once is a home run!

Quaint small but very comfortable place for friends to gather for breakfast , lunch, dinner! The brunch was great with mimosa ! We will go back for dinner for sure!

This is a hidden gem! From the outside it looks like many other NYC restaurants, yet once inside one is transported to a charming French ambiance. The wine is always good and served in very generous glasses. I can’t wait to go back to the Little Prince.

My husband and I completed the TD Five Borough Bike Tour and needed to kill a couple hours prior to our dinner reservation at 5:30pm. We chose a nice Rosé and two appetizers. The tuna tartare was excellent with its sides of crostini. Our second choice was the Ricotta cheese and jam. Both the perfect size to help us stave off the grum bellies! Cute bar. Attentive staff. Only disappointment was they were out of our first pick of wine in the bottle. Would like to try dinner here.

We have been here off and on for the last couple of years and while we sometimes hate to go back to the same places , this one never ever disappoints. Fun atmosphere, nice staff and we have always found the food to be great. We recommend it time and time again. Way to go guys!!!!

I was there on a Saturday evening. Although the place appeared to be full with a crowd around the bar area, a table for two was available and we were seated by the hostess who enquired of us our preference for water -- tap water was on the list. There is a separate menu for drinks; the food menu included cocktails and beer. The offerings of appetisers and entrees were eclectic, and included vegetarian options. I and my companion shared an octopus dish for starters. It was in a cream gravy and tasty though salty and rich. I ordered a fish, my companion ordered the steak. They were proportioned just right and we relished it. Too many french fries accompanied the steak; the string beans on the fish was crisp. We had beer -- selections included a couple of French offerings. Warm bread and flavored butter were offered at the outset. Waitress was very eloquent in describing the menu items and suggested options. The tables are close to each and the noise level is high but you can carry out a conversation quite easily without raising your voice. The dessert menu did not offer anything attractive and we passed. The bill was presented among the pages of a old, slightly tattered, paperback book -- French language. On the expensive side -- two entrees, one appetizer, and three beers with taxes and tips -- came to $125. But this is New York City in the Greenwich Village area!.. The atmosphere is very comfortable and cosy. You sit at small square tables, covered with clean white paper, and have cloth nakpkins. The neighborhood is full of life and people. You can be in and out quickly. Highly recommended.

Lovely little cafe with creative dishes and an acceptable wine list. Had a late lunch on a a great fall afternoon listening to their playlist and watching people stroll by the open terrace. The service was good and the food was prepared as advertised and nicely presented. The onion soup was really top notch and the wine paired well with the main dishes ordered. Will return the next time we are in NY.

The food was very good. The ricotta spread was fresh and tasty. The short rib sandwich had good flavor and the french fries one would hope for at a French restaurant. The salmon was also good. But the noise level was intolerable, The restaurant is small and crowded and that would be a challenge. But the Little Princes's solution is to crank up the music so that no one could hear themselves think, much less talk. So good food ruined by terrible noise.

My friends and I were shopping in Soho and searched online for a dinner option. Although we had walked down Prince Street for a nearby restaurant, we noticed Little Prince on the next block and had to give it a try. It was fortunate that we switched because we had the perfect experience! Our waitress was helpful and efficient, the ambience was inviting, and the food was completely fabulous. We decided to share a bottle of wine and five starters. Our order included two specials, fried artichoke and a burrata salad, that were both absolutely delicious! We also greatly enjoyed the tuna tartare and salmon carpaccio, along with an order of yummy frites. We had such a wonderful experience that we are planning to return in a few weeks, bringing along more friends. This is a terrific choice in Soho!

If you're looking for Soho charm, great drinks, and excellent food during the Winter, Spring, or Fall - seek no further. This spot is wonderful. Moreover, even though the restaurant was very busy and we were a table of 12, the wait staff were friendly and pretty darned competent. The only reason I am giving an average rating is a massive fail - no air conditioning to speak of. It was 90 degrees and muggy both outside and inside. Most everyone at the table was fanning themselves and stepping outside throughout the entire meal to cool themselves off. Pros: great and reasonably priced wine, fantastic food (try the French onion burger), charming decorations, friendly and knowledgeable staff Cons: no AC - really stay away during hot Summer days I hate to rate such a nice place as average, but a comfortable dining environment is simply table stakes guys. If it's a hot day, stay away, if not, come on in. You'll be glad you did.

Good French Restaurant in Soho. You can take the C or E train and once you exit do a quick turn around toward the street. It is diagonally across on the left side. Pretty good food although it is a bit on the pricy side. The grilled octopus is really good and the tuna tartar is also quite good. I enjoyed the ratatouille and the salmon is all right. The steak frites's steak is just quite average. Although, the fries are pretty decent. Very kind wait staff, so the service is good. They can get busy, so I recommend you to reserve a table on open table first.

Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday -- restaurant was not crowded when we arrived, but filled up quickly thereafter. The place is small and obviously designed to look like a Parisian Bistro. I ordered the bistro eggs, my wife ordered the seasonal salad. The food was served quickly, and prepared perfectly. Normally, we would prefer to linger and enjoy the environment, but we had to dash for a play. There didn't appear to be any effort on the part of the restaurant staff to turn the table. Our waiter was very accommodating and helpful. We went back with a group of eight on a Sunday evening. I couldn't get a reservation through the website, but a phone call directly to the restaurant when it first opened got me in touch with someone who was very helpful and promptly made the reservation. When we got to the restaurant in the evening, our table was set up and perfectly set. It was a very warm evening, and since the restaurant is not air-conditioned, and has only a single ceiling fan, it was quite warm. The staff moved a rotating tower fan close to our table which went a long way to making the atmosphere bearable. The menu is fairly simple -- with a limited number of entrees available. This is not in any way a criticism -- the menu offers something for every taste. Our group ordered almost everything on the menu, and was very happy to learn that everything was very good -- best quality ingredients and perfectly prepared. I very strongly recommend the Roast Duck. The duck confit was possibly the most pleasant surprise of the evening. Also exceptional were the Duo of Lamb and the Salmon. Start with the Chicken Liver Mousse, or the ratatouille. One of our group raved over the Quinoa Salad. Our only quibbles were the heat (which the restaurant had done everything in its power to deal with) and the temperature at which the white and sparkling wines were being served. They weren't chilled enough. Also, they had run out of their Champagne. C'est la vie. It was also a little odd that our waiter, rather than taking everyone's drink order at one time, took and filled them individually. Not a problem, just a little different. Very strongly recommend The Little Prince for either an intimate date or a group event.

We love this little bistro. The first time we came across this gem we were wandering around looking for a cozy little place to eat and have a cocktail on a chilly, windy night. The bartenders are master mixologists, and the food was delicious. the french onion soup is fantastic, and my boyfriend was swooning over the burger (sautéed onions and gruyere cheese on an english muffin) We've been back for lunch and the place never disappoints

My husband & I met a friend here for lunch on a Friday. It is quite a cozy & charming French restaurant where you felt like you were in Paris. It had a nice crowd & wasn't packed which was nice. We had a comfortable booth off to the side of the bar. There were 2 waiters serving the entire restaurant which might have been about 20 tables (not all full). I ordered a salad and my hubby & friend ordered the same sandwich. I must say that the salad was the most delicious salad I've had out. I literally licked the plate. Nikki Hilton was eating there if anyone really cares. I don't but think some might ;). I would highly recommend a nice light lunch here on any given day. I'd definitely go back & try dinner.

Went there for brunch with business associates. This is a small restaurant with a big menu. My guess would be that there are 10 tables. Laid back atmosphere, painted white old brick, some would say a hole in the wall. Portions were large, well prepared, very reasonable, and the service was great. This was a welcome departure from the typical hotel brunch.

Spent a lazy Sunday here for Brunch. Such a cool place and the service and food was fantastic. Well worth checking out.

We came here for the cheeseburger without realizing they only served it at lunch. The restaurant was nice enough to accommodate my husband...and he was VERY happy with his burger. My steak frites was fine. Wine was good. Scene is cute but definitely not good for big groups.

All of the staff here were extremely friendly and focused on customer service. The food was nicely prepared and the portion size was decent. A variety of very interesting cocktails and a GREAT wine list. Lots of classic French cuisine with a bit of a twist, and some great variations on some classics. I was dining on an evening where there was a large 20+ party of millennial celebrating a birthday and they were extremely loud and very rude to the other customers in the restaurant. They knocked over a glass of wine on the table next to me and walked on a man's jacket. They took over the space as if they owned it, but the staff did a lovely job making sure every other customer besides this rude group was properly taken care of. I would return again for sure

My wife, son, and I were celebrating moving my son out of his college dorm, so we had dinner at Little Prince. The food, service, and atmosphere were terrific. The restaurant uses quality ingredients from the food to the cocktails. For appetizers my wife had the PEI mussels in a Thai broth and I had the quintessential French Onion Soup - both were delicious and good portions. For the main I had Fluke Meunière, my wife had ratatouille, and my son the wild Salmon. Again all dishes were scrumptious. It is a small restaurant, so I highly recommend reservations. Definitely a find!

We booked the Little Prince with a group of friends, and none of us will be returning. We all arrived about 5 minutes late, and the table wasn't properly set up. No biggie! The staff sorted it out quite quickly for us. We then all ordered drinks, and noticed two tables around us, who arrived 20 minutes after us get their drinks and break first. I could KIND OF understand, as they were both a party of x2, and we were a party of x7, but when 40 minutes passed and we were still waiting for our bottle of champagne, we had to flag a waiter down to find out what was going on! She told us the champagne wasn't cold enough, so we said no worries, and we asked to upgrade to the pink bubbles. 10 minutes later, we had to flag them again to ask where our drinks were again! They came out with the regular champagne (not pink), and it was still hot! So then a waiter came over and gave us a complementary glass each. We have finally ordered food now, and when it arrived, it was decent, and the mains were big. The restaurant itself was so hot inside, all of us were very uncomfortable. Suddenly the restaurant got very dark, and very loud music started playing. Was I suddenly in a club? We had to escape! I would have given the restaurant 3 stars, but unfortunately one girl in the group got ill the next morning. Earlier that day, our entire group ate the same lunch, and we were all fine. No one had the same dinner course as her, so we can only assume it was the dish she had at the Little Prince. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Lovely little restaurant in SoHo. Have only been here for lunch/bruch, always having a great time. Waiters are caring, food is great. Decor is simple but it feels exactly right.

Nice little restaurant with flowered balcony good coffee and food very nice atmosphere a bit French style with bistro chairs and old floor.fresh flowers at the bar and clean restrooms. Food healthy fresh.

If you're a regular to Soho and Prince St. is among your stomping grounds, it's hard not to be taken-in by the Little Prince's charming flower boxes and coveted single table under the trees in front. Inside it's a little crowded and a little loud, but that all fades into the distance once the wine is served and the coveted French Onion Soup arrives. If you're brave enough to dare the French Onion Burger with gruyere, caramalized onions, dijon, hand-cut fries and garlic aioli, then you will leave very, very full indeed. Have been here multiple times and haven't hit a clinker yet. Service always friendly - if you can't get the coveted table outside, there is one in the far front corner next to the window that's almost as good.

From the Ricotta Bread appetizer, to the Beet Salad, and on to the amazing French Onion Soup Burger, the food is fantastic. Knocking a star off for the service. Though the staff was friendly, they were disorganized and disappeared for stretches. I could tell when I finally received my food that it had been sitting around. Still, great food.

The staff Wayne & Lua made an amazing night even better. Genuinely one of the best nights we had in the city! The food was incredible, the staff were so attentive - our glasses were never empty! Would absolutely recommend to anyone after a delicious dinner, amazing service and a great atmosphere.

We were very excited to check out this cute place in Soho. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. Don’t order the burger! Overcooked and the meat was not good quality. Didn’t appreciate the waiting saying, “Oh, let me top you off”…and then charged us for another glass of wine.

This little Gem was wonderful. I had the best burger of my life there and topped it off with an amazing dessert! Will be back soon!!!

Cozy restaurant. Inviting and warm on a rainy fall night. Will day the booths were a little cramped for a party of 3-4. The crème brûlée was the highlight of the meal.
Superb service and delicious food
We randomly decided to have a late lunch here - located on pretty Prince St - and were blown away by many things. First, multiple people greeted us as we walked in and it was warm and cozy for a fall afternoon. We had suitcases in hand because our next stop was the airport and they helped us find a place to tuck them away. The waiter knew the menu and encouraged me to select the grilled chicken sandwich which came with a small side of the toasted quinoa (so I could basically get to enjoy more of their selections). The food came and was excellent-fresh interesting flavors and nice and hot. The staff was extremely attentive. My husband came in with a diet coke and instead of telling him he could not have it they brought him a glass of ice and said “this will taste so much better on ice”...when I started to cut my sandwich in quarters suddenly a steak knife appeared. I highly recommend this quaint spot.
