As a Harlem-local, I'm immediately curious whenever a new spot comes to the neighborhood. LoLo's fits right into Harlem. This is truly authentic seafood (but mostly just crab). When getting off the 116th stop - ignore Harlem Tavern and peek around the corner to find LoLo's. It looks small, but upon entering, just order your food at the counter and head all the way to the outdoor patio in the back. It's the cutest little sneak-out. You'll be surprised how many people take lunch here! Make sure you ask for LoLo's special sauce with a side of crispy plantains.

So glad we went out of the way for LoLos! The food was insane good. Staff was kind & helpful. Crab cakes & Shrimp we’re spot on and Salmon was seasoned perfectly. Job Well Done LOLO!

Lolo's can be easy to miss if you don't know to look out for it. It's a very narrow and can be overshadowed by the bustling Harlem Tavern on the corner, but I have been here three times now and each time has been delicious. I've only ever gotten one main dish (the Crab Cake Sandwich) because I don't actually like seafood. But this sandwich is outstanding! It's not like a Maryland crab cake, or New England crab cake...it has Caribbean flavors and it's consistently yummy. I've tried three different sides...wok seared cauliflower, Lolo's fries and the sweet plantains. My favorite of these three has been the sweet plantains. Again, these plantains are not exactly like Caribbean plantains, it's a twist on them and they too are good. New Yorkers should try it and if you're visiting New York and are in Harlem I'm going to say go beyond getting soul food and give Lolo's a shot. You won't regret it. And additionally, the first time I went, I was with seafood lovers who got a range of the Seafood boils, and they were impressed. I don't think anyone will be disappointed it they go.

Traveled to NYC with my son for his 16th birthday. We had pizza several days in a row and he was looking for something different. He found LoLos online so we gave it a try. LoLos was very easy to find and conveniently located near the subway. He ordered the Pom Pom shrimp and I had the crab cakes. Both were amazing. I recommend sitting out in the back outside if the weather is nice. So good we will probably go again on this trip!

Found this place thru a friend of mine and went off to a strange experience. This place is a hole in the wall in the middle of Harlem. Not the most comfortable place to eat. My wife did not mind either the place or the food, I have my reservations. She would go back, I would pass. There is not very much to chose from a limited menu The crabby dip was very good, The Johnny cakes were on the dry side, The crab cake basket and coco shrimp were good.

I had done extensive Googling before we left for NYC to find the best food at good prices. I came across Lolo's, and as my partner is Jamaican and we love West Indian food, the 'Caribbean BBQ and Cape Cod Seafood Mash Up' sounded perfect! We were walking in Central Park on the day we decided to visit so walked into Harlem from there, however you can also get subway etc. This is definitely a bit more of an edgy part of town than the more touristy places, and the outside of this restaurant looks unassuming to say the least, however don't let this put you off. The service was amazingly friendly, and the food was delicious. We had a fry fish basket with garlic fries, and a crabcake sandwich which were both amazing. Prices were good and they even provided mouthwash in the bathroom to get rid of fishy garlic breath! The restaurant is very small but at about 2pm we walked in and got a table no problem. I imagine there may be a bit of a wait in the evenings. This does show it is worth doing your research before you go to find the hidden gems - probably would have walked past this place if I had not known. Instead we had the best meal of our holiday, whilst only spending about $10 more than we had on a McDonalds earlier in the trip, mistakenly thinking it would be a reasonably priced option!

Interesting lunch in NYC. After hunting round for a place we fancied for lunch we stumbled across lola's. We were pleasently surprised. The soft shell crab was lovely although the whole sandwich was a touch greesey, the dirty rice was a nice accompaniment especially with some salsa verde added. The service was a touch slow once we ordered but the place is pretty cool for just relaxing in.

This place is small and cannot accomodate big parties. It's a cafeteria style establishment where you order the food by the cash register, find a seat and wait for the food. The backyard patio has space for outdoor dining. The food is tasty and seafood is messy. You still have to peel, crack and work for your dinner. An order of crab legs comes in a steamer bag, drowned in butter. Too bad there's not much options to add the yummy flavorful butter/broth to rice or vegs. Definitely recommended place for seafood, but I wouldn't wait in the hot summer nights queing up for a table.

I came by for an early dinner while visiting Harlem, NY. It was awesome! It has a very rustic interior with a small patio on the back. The inside is reminiscent of a fishing shack. The only drawback is their limited seating I ordered the fish basket which was mahi mahi with fries. It was fried to perfection, fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and hospitable. I can't wait to go back and try it again!

We were introduced to Lolo's as part of the Harlem Cultural & Food Tour. The food was delicious. From the plantains (with a vast variety of dipping sauces) to their Johnny cake fish burgers. They were extremely generous with their servings and their hospitality/customer service was 100%. If I ever make it back to NY on my travels this is where I will be heading.

This little off the beaten path restaurant is amazing. The restaurant is small but without pretense, the food is authentic and good value for money. Get a seat in the back garden, if it is open, for a real beach shack feel. You will forget you in the middle of such a busy city! We had the seafood boil (crab legs, shrimp) and it was delicious, the house made sauce was spectacular.

Even though there is no view of a Caribbean ocean or a grill from a sawed-off oil drum, the foods speak loud and clear here. Tasty conch fritters and baby back ribs await you. It all comes down to the sauces which complement the menu. Wait staff is efficient and laid back at the same time.

Lolo’s Is NOT all that. We paid $10 for TINY (I mean dental rinse cup size) Paloma’s that didn’t even taste like Paloma’s. The shrimp was fine but the garlic fries were utterly devoid of flavor. This place is very expensive for the quality of the food you actually get. Would not recommend. So surprised because this is recommended by eater.com. I guess even Eater.com can make a mistake now and then.

I loved the flavors of the Salmon Sandwich served in a Johnny Cake, but oh the grease and the after effects of heartburn! Delicious but I'd need to visit here only once in a blue moon and maybe take a roll of paper towels to blot the grease.

What can I say, step out back into the seating area and you feel as though you are on the island. The look and feel of a true Jamaican shanty, with the cool sounds of the island. Now the food. I had the pom pom shrimp with the garlic fries, my friend had the jerk chicken with the durty rice. The food was excellent and our server Chandler was great. If you want to reminisce about your last trip to the island or just have a taste of island flavor, I highly recommend you try Poll's, you won't be disappointed.

I'm a New Yorker and when I learned of Lolo's a few weeks back it stuck in my food register as a must stop. Lo and behold after two glorious hours at the Harlem Department of Motor Vehicles I found myself not far and ventured in. Eager and hungry I found a staff listless and uninterested. I ordered the crab crack platter ( with tax 25 bucks) .. asked for sides or veggies and told only fries or rice were available. Went ahead and walked to the outdoor back which is beachy ( but buggy..spray available) ..Crab cakes were miniscule,at best... fresh but got one and a half.. no lemonade on site. at these prices go to a decent restaurant and then take a walk in the park.

4 stars because the food was very fresh/tasty, service was friendly & the interior is nicely decorated for an island vibe. But the lunch prices were steep for what little food u get. I left there still hungry!

Found a deal for this restaurant on Travel Zoo. The deal offered an appetizer, entree, beverage and another dish to share for $25 dollars. We thought 'great price for NY' so we gave it a try. GETTING THERE Getting there was a BREEZE coming from Midtown Manhattan, but it depends on how the trains are running if you decide to use the subway. We took the the C train from the Museum of Natural History to Harlem and got off at 116th Street; the restaurant is less than a minute walk from the train station. ATMOSPHERE The only thing missing from this island restaurant was the sand. I really loved the decor which was small, intimate and rustic. I had a chance to speak with the operators who were very attentive. The service was EXCELLENT. FOOD My favorite dish was the Belizean Conch Fritters; it was simply delicious. I had the Garlic fries (yum), Crayfish in coconut and curry sauce (also yum) and Spicy Shrimp. All the food I had was good, with rich flavors that are true to the islands. VALUE Great value for money.

After reading many positive reviews about Lolo's Seafood Shack I was mildly disappointed to come away with mixed feelings regarding the varying quality of foods ordered during my recent visit. My table ordered the appetizer sampler, fish fry basket and crab leg boil. The sampler was a mixed bag; the conch fritters tasty but with too much batter, the dip delicious pared with mariquitas, and the ribs overcooked with no flavor, having to rely of jerky dip. The roumalade accompanying all dishes was tasty. The Mahi Mahi was moist and delicious. The crab leg boil was tasty, but made difficult to eat without any crab crackers available. All in all I would recommend Lolo's but not deserving a Zagat rating.

Wanted to go somewhere local that was not chain. Ordered at the counter and ate in the back. Very cute island feel. Food was fresh and very good. I was throughly impressed. The price was about right for the portion size. You must try the Johnny CAKE... delicious, absolutely delicious. Taste like a roll I had in Trinidad. Peel and eat shrimp with garlic butter - Ex-large size, clean and fresh. Conch fritters - nice size again for price and very tasty. Jerk chicken with beans and rice - lovely, just enough Jerk and beans and rice were not dry, seasoned very well. Don't let the outside and size fool you, I will definitely be back.

I took my family here to celebrate Father's Day and it surpassed our expectations. Being originally from the Caribbean we did not expect to get food that so closely tasted like our home cooked food, but it did. We had rice and peas, plantains, jerked ribs, shrimp, crawfish, shark and bake. All summarizing a good remedy for what we call a tabun a-- ( homesickness). We definitely will be back..:)

This is a tiny place with good fried seafood. If you want ambience or space fing another place. Large potions and friendly folks.

Great Valentine's Day Dinner!!! Last minute choice but so glad we did, ran into LoLo's on our way to the train almost giving up on Vday Dinner. They had an amazing seafood platter for 2, so fresh with the perfect seasoning, we will definitely return!!!

My friend got the pompom fried shrimp and Parmesan fries and it was really good. I got the shrimp seafood boil with all of the flavors mixed together however I felt the coconut curry overpowered the rest of the flavors.

Ate there for dinner. Very unassuming, informal place...and that's NOT a bad thing. Food was excellent, especially the shrimp. We also had some ribs...also excellent!!

Three Sundays ago a group of us went to LoLo's Seafood Shack for the first time. LoLo's is a hideaway tucked in Harlem and can be easily missed. It was cold and we were seated indoors. The tasty food lets you forget about the limited indoor space. The food is really tasty and has a unique Caribbean twist to it. I'm from the Caribbean and this is different. I have never eaten fried plantains prepared they way make it. The plantains were great. The "Pom-pom" shrimp and the jerk ribs were my favorite dishes. Our meals were pre-paid, as we purchased them through Travel Zoo. Despite this, we were given appetizers on the house. We will definitely be back when the weather is better. I assume when the weather warms up outdoor seating will be an option. Looking forward!

As places go, this is a Hole in the Wall, with surprisingly good seafood, friendly staff and fast service. Less than 10 tables inside, expands to a good weather oasis with the opening of their patio seating. Seafood boils, crabs, etc with flair. For me its an hour trip by subway, but I'm addicted to the Conch Fritters which are the Best I've ever had. A must go food destination for anyone in New York city.

It was a lucky gues after a trip to harlem to stop here for diner with our family. Very Nice decor and atmosphere. Freindly service. With our 5 we shared a starters combo and 3 different baskets (fried fish, Crab cakes and shrimp). We ate everything and were fully satisfied. Excellent for this price!

I never any bad food only good food in this place. The place is very small, very casual but a authentic Caribbean feeling. It is very tasty and good. However a bit expensive.

Not happy! I have been in Phily where most places put their foot up in foods meaning they really put all efforts in. But this place came with high ratings however i beg the difference.. The meal i ordered was very bland. I ordered the crab cakes basket with garlic fries. The crab cakes were full of fillers and small. The garlic fries taste like regular fries. If u are starving then it work to a point for 50 bucks i feel it was a waste of calories and fat.

So I never came in here because from the outside it looks like there is no where to sit. SURPRISE they have tables way in the back and a heated cabana in the back. It was extremely cold Valentine’s Day so that heated area still was to cold for us we moved inside. We tried a good mix of everything the Pom Pom shrimp are good with a little kick. I had the split lobster with the fried rice in a pineapple and added a half of pound of shrimp. EVERYTHING was on amazing, I literally was dipping everything in that sauce they gave with it. I think it’s butter, garlic and Old Bay. I should of asked it may have been the Lolo sauce. I highly recommend this place I’m sure it will be packed once it gets warmer. That was the only negative to the place!

It is a small Caribbean seafood place with steamed seafood and their amazing house sauce. Johnny cake is a must and for me the Conch fritters.

You found it. On 116th by the C & D train station. It's Lolo's. Get the bucket of seafood and peel and eat and add lemon. And butter. And keep eating. Order another margarita. Ok, one more double. This is why you came here. Mmm.

Sometimes you eat in a breathtaking beautiful place, wonderful decor, glistening silverware and crystal, white tablecloths - and the place makes the food taste good. Lolo's is the opposite. It resembles the sort of shack you might find on the road to Negril from Montego bay - picnic tables, no two of which are alike, mismatched plastic chairs. It occupies a tiny space on 116th St in Harlem, so small that you might miss it if you don't watch out. It does a lot of takeout business, but has two small dining rooms and a nice yard with more picnic tables. You order at the counter in the front, get an order number, and the server will bring you your food, a dish at a time. The menu is simple, with jerk-driven barbecue, fried stuff, boiled stuff. The Begum Playaneuron and I shared a fabulous spicy shrimp boil, served in a boil bag resting in a plastic dish - perfect jumbo shrimp, corn, sausage, sweet potato, and a pile of conch fritters. They were maybe the best shrimp I have ever eaten in New York or anywhere - tender, sweet, spicy, not a trace of iodine, floating in a marvelous juicy sauce. The waiter brought us not only bibs but plastic gloves with which to eat the shrimp. The conch fritters were mostly conch, with just enough flour to hold them together, spectacular - and not tough like most conch. It was a meal that cried for beer, but they don't yet have their liquor license. We had water from a help-yourself dispenser. So forget about white tablecloths - this is fabulous food that makes you forget the picnic tables.

Its human nature to compare restaurants which has the same cuisine and thus LoLo's is good but not great especially when compared to restaurants such as The Boil. You order from the counter and then there are 3 tables at the back and another 3 tables at the back garden. The chicken wings and the plantains were good ; the soft shell crab on the home made bread is good if you get one freshly made (we ordered two of them, the one I had the bread was over fried and dry ; whereas my wife had one where it was less oily and much better texture.). Now to what everyone comes for, the boiled shrimp, snow crab legs and craw fish. We tried the boiled shrimp and snow crab legs. Snow crab legs was a disappointment as the meat was cold when we ate and seemed like the crab legs were already pre-boiled and then heated only temporarily. LoLo's special sauce tasted like the Japanese Curry Sauce except it was watery whereas in japanese restaurants, corn starch is added as a thickener. Honestly, if you had a choice to make, go to Boil or any other restaurants similar. At Boil, the food was hot (helped with them putting the seafood with the sauce in bags and then putting it in hot water to heat up) and the most important thing....you wanted to dip everything in sight in their sauce....this was not the case with LoLo's

I enjoyed the fresh lobster and other seafood they serve at the menu, the taste is strong with a lot of spices.

Best seafood in nyc. With exceptional service and great drinks. Must try the lovster roll. Only fresh Maine lobster they use and jerk ribs, Belizean conch fritter, richardo glazed chicken wings. Crab cake basket

I found this place by doing Google and Yelp, all good reviews so we got on the train and headed to the restaurant. It is RIGHT by the train exit which was great. The staff was very kind and friendly, the food was on point,I got so full!! Had a rum punch which was a little different than what I was used to, but it was very tasty.

Very rustic place that's not big on looks but great on flavor. I had the coconut shrimp basket that came with garlic fries. I added an order of sweet potato wedges to my order. Gentleman that took our order at the counter was friendly and patient with us, especially when we told him we were from out of town. Gentleman delivering food to our table brought us a free order of fried plantains with mango salsa, which were very good. The salsa was good but it would be better with regular chips. The plantains needed no accompaniment because they were that good by themselves. My shrimp were very good and the fries were ok. I'm not big on garlic fries but I was able to eat a few before getting tired of them. The sweet potato wedges had this amazing honey sauce on them and they would have been really good if they were cooked a bit more. They were too undercooked for me. My friend had the crab cake basket and there was zero bread filler in them. She said she loved them. Overall, we had a good meal there.

The guys and girls at Lolo's we're so friendly- they gave us some free rice and peas! The food was AMAZING!!! We had the crawfish and the crabby dip-my husband doesn't even like crab but he finished it off! Framing the menu in our kitchen back home in the u of k :-)

Great flavors, great service, quiet garden, what more is there? seriously, it's a fun neighborhood place east of the Columbia campus. The folks that run it are working hard to make this a place folks come back to.

I follow Lolo's on Instagram and was so looking forward to tasting their food. Hubby and I decided to start our holiday weekend here....Unfortunately the $55 dollars we spent left us dissatisfied and still hungry. We had the Lobster Bake, Salmon Bake, Durty Rice, Honey Sweet Potatoes and Wings. The rice and potatoes were the stars. The wings just tasted grilled with hardly any flavor, the lobster and salmon bake were rather dry. Then as if we already weren't leaving disappointed after getting almost home we realized my hubby left his phone there. I called and asked if it was there..they said they would check...I called back amd they said "yes its here" and I said I'm on my way. By the time we got there which was 10min later they had given the phone to someone who had called it...smh...thank god it was my brother in law. ..but jeezzz who does that...poor judgment. I wish them continued succes but unfortunately won't be back.

We had a real craving for seafood and shellfish, and probably the main reason this place didn't quite fill it was the portion size. The prices are good by New York City standards, but that's reflected in how much food you actually get. I'm no expert on Caribbean food, and I thought everything tasted great. It would be nice if they served beer. We sat in the garden on a hot summer day, and it was very pleasant. Keep in mind that this will most likely be a messy meal, so if you're not a fan of getting real personal with your food, this may not be a place for you. As you can see in a photo of me digging into my food, you will get a bib and a pair of rubber gloves, so you won't have to add any dry cleaning to your expenses.

The restaurant does not have a come in feel, you really just have to know it's there. Once inside the service is good and the food is good and they had a brand of ginger beer I was not familiar with that was just awesome. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. I sat in the back which made me feel like i was on a island not Manhattan. I would return and recommend. I bit pricey but worth it for this Caribbean-inspired spot.

on a nice day the back patio is like these caribbean shack, It is a nice place to get the crawfish and couple of drinks on a week end afternoon.

After reading the reviews I went to Lolo's and given the time, I decided to order from the Happy Hour Menu. I got the ribs, the shrimp and fries, the crab burger, and a pitcher of coconut rum punch. Where do I begin? Well the person taking the order said you get about 5 to 7 cups. Well $7 per cup versus $20 for the pitcher, it's a no brainers. Well they give the size cups for single serve is much larger than the tiny cups given with the pitcher requiring you to refill constantly. So in all actuality, the pitcher comes to about 3 cups. You save $1. The taste - there was this mysterious sour taste. Did they put lemon in it with coconut rum? I don't know but it was no bueno. And I had a full pitcher. The food. The ribs. 1 1/2 small ribs for $5. I tugged at the meat to release it from the bone, then my I had to chew slowly to break down the toughness. The flavor was bland and the sauce was griddy. The crab burger - think of a white castle burger with a smear of crab meat replacing the ultra thin burger. Well that's what it was. The bun was soft and the tiny ration of crab meat was authentic crab. The shrimp and fries. If I closed my eyes and chewed the 3 small shrimp I wouldn't know what I was eating. It was cooked well but whatever they coated it in was strange tasting. The fries were your average fries lightly salted with chopped bits of veggies sprinkled on top. The verdict is that is was a wasted $43. The shrimp and fries were the only thing where the portion barely matched the $5 price. As far as taste, you'll be happy with the fries.

This little off the beaten path restaurant is a hidden gem. The place is small but the food is authentic and delicious. Get a seat in the back garden, if it is open, for a real tropical feel. You will forget you in the middle of the city! We had the corn on the cob delicious, chicken wings, conch fritters and plantain chips were excellent.

Lo’s Lo’s food is very tasty. Me & my friends ordered the shrimp & salmon basket. First off if wasn’t a basket. The portions was very very small for the price. It was like we had a snack. They cut the fish in half & gave us hard broccoli. The mango slushy tasted like juice. I love to support black businesses, but we gotta do better. ❤️

This hole-in-the-wall in Harlem served excellent seafood. The conch fritters were some of the best I've had, and the crab cake sandwich, while messy was delicious. There are 6 house made salsas to choose from - all free with your meal.

Great food, awesome atmosphere and friendly personnel. Not much left to desire when you visit it for a quick meal.

Lovely and friendly staff! The food is perfection. Definitely get the combo of crab and shrimp steam pot. The Lolo's special sauce is delicious. You order at the counter then get a number. There is a community seating area in the back room and a two top in the front room. Will definitely be going back next time we're in the city.

This little place is hip and friendly. All of the seafood boils are tasty and have just the right spice. The rum punch is a must-order. Make sure to order the Conch Fritters. And be prepared for a really friendly staff.

I don't live in New York. My cousin does, from Queens. Such is the benefit of having someone that KNOWS New York, you come across little gems like this one. Unassuming, small, not looking like much outside, you'd be fooled to walk past, as once you're in and look at their menu, the world is your oyster (but they don't serve oysters). Secure your seat - head waaaaaaay out into the back where there's a cute outdoor area. Decide what you're going to eat and order at the bar. They so serve alcohol but beware, not before 4pm, And no amount of sweet talking will get them to deduct the price of one of the combos they serve which allegedly comes with a rum punch if you want it (BUT NOT BEFORE 4!). Anyways don't let that put you off as you'll regret not trying their amazing garlic fries. My only criticism, ok second not only - the plantain sides we ordered were not ripe, oh they look amazing in my photos but they were bitter as hell. I wouldn't bother ordering them. Everything else is ON POINT.

Saturday, August 24, 2019 my boyfirend and I decided to give this place a try. However it was an awful experience. We were seated downstairs, after we ordered and paid for our food. We ordered a Salmon Basket & Crabcake Basket. I found the food to be tasty but very greasy. We were seated downstaris at a picnic table, which had the feel of a litte shack in the islands, yet ants and bugs were crawling on the table. We both looked at each other after killing the bugs, we didn't leave because we had paid for our food and beers. We begin to look around and realized just how dirty this place was, my boyfriend was wondering did we make a mistake of coming here. The food was well seasoned the salmon a bit over cooked, but really greasy. The items we ordered were pricey but the food was skimpy. We were somewhat suprised. They had kids as our waiters with very little customer service experience. I reviewed Lolo's on Yelp, and the owners response was somehate combative as apose to opened crticism. Letting me know that they have a A rating and supported for the past five years. I got very sick after eating in this place, and I ask that you do a better job of keeping this place clean. I do not understand how you have such a high rating. I also ask that your staff cover their heads when preparing food. I did not see that. In order to keep this A rating I suggest the owners take constructive criticism and make the proper changes.

2 stars for the vibe. Love the decor and menu. Unfortunately, the quality of the seafood just wasn't there. I would try this place again and order a few things different. Pros: -Cajun garlic butter sauce is yummy. -shrimp is good and big Cons: -Crawfish is frozen, not fresh, obvious from taste (fresh crawfish is super yummy, but I get it, this is NYC) -Snow crab was either old or way overcooked as the meat stuck to the shell making it difficult to eat. -Fries weren't crispy, more soggy. I wished they didn't put the soft shell crab over it with sauce, maybe it would have been crispier? Next time I will just stick to the shrimp and maybe try the coconut shrimp. But food was bit of a disappointment.

The food was fresh. The service was great. We are going back very soon. It gets crowded but worth the wait.

The staff are nice and the atmosphere is cool. But the seafood in butter is really seafood in margarine - you can definitely taste that, and to my mind it really detracts from the flavor

Best place to go for good seafood, serving some delicious Caribbean cuisine. Love the Avocado Toast with Plantains and also the Seafood dishes, they do some really good sauces like Coconut Curry with Garlic Butter. Yum!!

Something new as I stayed in Harlem recently , ordered the battered style prawns and the one that comes in the bag crayfish with special sauce. The prawns were very big and the flavour was good. I think the seafood in the bag should be mixed with the sauce more. They give you rubber gloves to eat and free table water. I had some thing similar in Hawaii (10 times better iam afraid but this was still good considering the location )

Great Food , great people & friendly service , crab legs very nice especially with coconut curry sauce close to 116st subway. I liked it try it I think you will too...

Have been there so much, I am on my way to a free meal. Why? Because I love the shrimp boil, with melted garlic butter, and Bay seasoning. Mmmmh-mmmh! Try the jerk ribs...and dutty rice..ok, its all good...

So picture the interior of a beach shack restaurant in Jamaica with a few outside tables. That’s LoLo’s except it’s on West 116th Street. It is very small, with a few outside and inside tables that appear to be home made with 4x6s. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. The food is presented as if you were at a picnic and it is really good. I especially liked the Johnny Cakes, jerk chicken and steamed shrimp in shell with terrific sauces. Not fond of the crab legs, which were hard to crack and not very good. No dessert but ginger beer, tequila drinks and several beers, including of course Red Stripe.

i like the lay back backyard feel to it. some of the food can be messy to eat in a good way , so eating outside is perfect in case your not the cleanest eater. the service was good. staff friendly and the food was fresh and hot

Very good fresh seafood and yummy pickings. They put a bib on you and give you rubber gloves so you can dig into your food. What's more to love?! Bring your inner kid and dig in! And trust me you will need the bib, I proved that once I started to eat their most AMAZING wings... their smoked wings. Seriously who knew smoked wings would be so much better than fried wings. Came here during vacation, after getting off a 10day cruise, you know where you eat practically every hour on the hour. So it was definitely time to grab some grub. We found this place and on the way to another local restaurant and knew I had to pop in after reading the reviews on Yelp. We placed our order, grabbed our number and some waters and went to sit in the back of the restaurant where they had Caribbean reggae house music playing. Felt like I was at a tikki bar restaurant like in South Florida almost. They even have a backyard porch for eating outside in the nicer weather. A very pleasant waitress came and fitted us with bibs, which I never wear but she said it was definitely worth wearing, so I did (she was right, which was proven when their smoked wings literally fell off the bone when attempting to shovel into my mouth, and a MISS! plop, bib saved my shirt lol) My friend and I were moaning and groaning so much from all the different flavors and textures that another couple who came in turned around at us and we had to apologize for our loud foodgasms. We explained it was our first time, and we were from out of town and they said it was their first time too, they got their seafood pot, but now they had to order their smoked wings because how we were carrying on. They also agreed that it was one of the best tasting wings they ever had too. All of us agreeing "who knew smoked wings were so good". Now let me say one of my favorite go to items when ordering out is shrimp, I LOVE shrimp. Even better than lobster. This place does not disappoint. - We had their coconut shrimp with garlic fries... Hallelujah Hallelujah (that's me worshipping) and their Lime zest remoulade was drinkable it was so good - We had their Jumbo Shrimp with LoLo's special sauce. OMG!!! - Jerk Ribs were so banging we forgot to take pictures of it before devouring a few. Sorry lol - Smoked wings were original and truly the best wings non fried I ever had. Hence there is no picture for them because we inhaled the wings before remembering to take a picture. lol - Their corn on the cob, was perfect. Crispy, plump, juicy, flavorful cooked perfectly! Loved the vibe of this place, loved the food, loved the service, and was serviced fast!!! Definitely had a perfect afternoon lunch here :-)

We were looking for a resto for a very late lunch and found this cute place. Great place, we sat outside seating and the shrimp pom poms were delicious so with the crab legs. We chose their house sauce and it did not disappoint. Will definitely go back if we are in the area again.

Service was very good and friendly. We tried a bit of everything. Homemade sauces and dippings are very good. Soft Crab sandwich, Shrimp Boils and fried fish were fantastic! Conch Fritters were the best I ever had. Chicken wings were good. Ribs had good seasoning but way to fatty, made this a 4 rating. Stick with the seafood and the rating is a 5. We will be back. If this place served beer it would be that much more worth the trip.

So much to like about this place. It's nothing fancy. You order at a counter, they give you a number sign, and then you go sit down in the back where they later bring your food. The conch fritters were excellent, and my nephew pronounced the soft shell crab sandwich "the best sandwich he's ever had." My brother really enjoyed the smelts, which came with excellent garlic fries. We didn't try the Pom Pom Shrimp, but I saw other people eating it and wow did it look good. They make their own sauces here too (in order of least to most spicy): pico de gallo, salsa verde, pineapple salsa, habanero, and ghost pepper. All had good flavor not just spice. Even the hottest of the sauces were not over-the-top hot, but rather had nice all around flavour. Not that expensive either. Just all around excellent.
Tasty, Just a Little Pricey
Had the crab (one crab leg) with garlic and old bay for $20. Had salmon with shrimp and broccoli, conch fritters, and rum punch. Food was prepared well, even gave me gloves to eat my crab leg with, but was noticeably overpriced for the amount food that received.
