Being a tourist in NY, street pizza is thrust upon you where ever you look. I knew I wanted to try some before I went home and for some reason we selected this place. I am sure glad we did, the generously sliced pizza was delicious. Cooked fresh in front of us, with particular effort made with the finishing touches. Lots of different toppings/flavour/dressing combo’s as well. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the ‘vodka pizza’ What we did appreciate (but didn’t know before) is that there is a place to sit and eat if required around the corner, in a place that has a nice cosy cafe feel to it. Would definately recommend eating the pizza here, it will no doubt be worth the few dollars more than the ones you see every where

We were looking for cheap eats after our visit to the Guggenheim, and we ate at Lucia's. Pepperoni + mushroom slices were delicious. And at $5.99 each, a real bargain. Well run, impeccably clean & fast service.

This was a Reddit find from a guy who reviews all of NYC pizza and this one was in his top 5 so we made a trip to give it a go! We ordered the margarita, cream of spinach, pepperoni and a supreme which was like a hot honey slice! The cream of spinach was my favourite, more unique flavours than we were expecting but really yummy! They also do pizza pies if you’re into that. They have small pizza joint on the corner you can go in and order for take away but next door they have a bar that you can take the pizza into and grab a seat & drink. Great vibe and felt very New York which was super fun!

Fortunately, Lucia Pizza of SOHO is located right across the street from the hotel we stayed at (Sheraton Tribeca.) After a long day of shopping in SOHO, we decided to give this pizza shop a try based on the constant stream of customers and excellent reviews elsewhere. What a gem. We ordered a slice of the marguerite pizza. Outstanding. Loved the crust, the sauce, the cheese, basel leaf and a smattering of olive oil and basel leaf. This is what a New York style should be like. Even though the restaurant was busy, the line moves quickly and your wait will be mere minutes. The employees were hardworking, helpful and friendly. It appears the restaurant has an extra sitting area that is opened during daytime hours. We can't wait for our next visit to SOHO and another opportunity to eat some more of this delicious pizza.
