This was a great find on a Saturday for lunch. We had actually tried to eat at Jacob's Pickle but the 1 1/2 hour wait time was unacceptable so we just started walking and discovered Made in New York Pizza. This was the pizza I remember from my visits to NYC as a child. Fresh, hot pizza by the slice that was really tasty. The shop is small and was absolutely full the entire time we were there for lunch but the wait to get in is quick. I highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood.

Ordered a "new margherita" for delivery from West Village location. Photo shows rich tomato sauce, cheese, and many fresh basil leaves. Reality: a cracker-like crust, dry and thin, a thin wash of tomato sauce, and not a single fresh basil leaf. Bore no resemblance to a true margherita. I have eaten far better frozen pizza baked at home--literally. To top it off, it was delivered cold. Trying, and failing, to imagine how could have been worse.

Arrived late from JFK and wanted something fast that suited my 10yo son. We were staying round the corner in UWS. Hey, when in NY eat pizza right? Where else better than a shop calling itself Made In New York. Friendly service, greater than great pizza, what's not to love? We stayed in UWS for a week and went twice. Other pizza places we visited didn't even compare.

This is a quick grab and go pizza joint. Nice big slices at an affordable price. It is perfect for a quick and fast meal. We actually ordered and took it back to our hotel room. Will eat again.

Lots of choices. Excellent pizzas and has an unbeatable price Opening hours extended An indispensable detour. I recommend

Been wanting to go to this spot for a while and finally got the chance. Unfortunately, so many events were wrong, I won't be back. The guy behind the counter, serving pizza, was eating toppings off of the pizzas that were to be heated and sold. Don't care how well this pizza is supposed to be, poor sanitary practices will make me not go back.

There are no shortage of pizza places on NYC’s Upper West Side and Made in New York Pizza holds a solid spot in our rotation, in fact it is our son’s go to for pizza on the UWS. On our most recent visit to NYC we were there twice, and enjoyed a potpourri of slices: Mushroom, Vodka, Sicilian, Margherita and Cheese. The crust can sometimes be a bit too crunchy, but it certainly will not stop us from coming again. And again!

Best pizza ever in NY !!! nice place to stay and great pizza .. told by an italian ! A place to come back ! Nice people over there, fast and professional.

We grabbed a to-go slice before heading to the airport. Crispy crust and generous portion of mushroom for the toppings.

It looked interesting and I went in and knew this was real New York pizza immediately. Ate a pepperoni slice and a sausage slice.

The pizza was delicious and they have a great selection of different toppings. Reasonably priced too.

Needed lunch close to Central Park, everyone chose something that they liked, was then heated up in oven and was great, sat outside and watched life go by while we enjoyed our lunch!

Having chosen to eat pizza in New York we were a little skeptical but here we found pizza as excellent as the Italian one. Advised!

We had bbq chicken and cheese thin crust and eggplant Parmesan square and it’s impossible to say which of the 3 was best. The crust and sauce on all were near perfect.

Garlic knots were good but dry. Pepperoni bites were super spicey. Hated their pepperoni and basil pizza. Not worth the price and taste isnt great.

We loved the arrival of this much-talked-about pizzeria, but after couple of visits have been repelled by the horrible restaurant inspection review that cites "evidence of mice or live mice present in...food areas" and "live roaches present" and "food contact surface not properly washed...contamination may have occurred." No, thanks. Life is dirty and germy enough. Our verdict is to never return to this place whose sanitation cannot be trusted. It's a health risk.

Great slice of NY pizza. Price: About $5 a slice. You can choose between different flavors, I recommend trying the pepperoni. Very nice place. Super recommended.

Absolutely delicious! Pretty impressed with the crunch and lightness of the slice. The sauce is pretty delicious.

We were on our way to the American Museum of Natural History, and wanted a quick bite before we got there. A local passerby heard us looking for a pizzeria where we could sit and eat, so she sent us here. Limited seating, yes, but it was the best pizza my husband and I ever had.

Good pizza near Times Square at reasonable prices. Clean environment and possibility to sit at a table. I recommend taking the classic margherita

Was visiting the UWS and took a walk down Amsterdam. There are several parlor, but for some reason I selected here. The service was fast, friendly and the pizza was really good

Came here with the family. Pizzas were ready in advance and heated up well in the pizza oven. Staff were okay but could be a bit more friendly. Pizza selections were limited and would be nice if you could build your own with your own toppings. Prices were reasonable.

Pizza was DELICIOUS! A bit pricey at around $20 for 2 slices and 2 waters, but it was definitely worth it. We stopped here on a whim on our way to Central Park and would definitely eat here again!

If you’re on the hunt for some of the best pizza in the city, Nuovo York Pizza is an must-visit! We tried a variety of their pizzas, and loved every bite. The Cherry Charm Pizza was a standout—perfectly balanced with mozzarella, fresh garlic, pecorino romano, juicy fresh tomatoes, and olive oil. The fresh mozzarella really took it to the next level! The Mushroom Pizza was another favorite, with mushrooms, rich tomato sauce, and gooey mozzarella that created a perfect blend of flavors. We also indulged in the Pesto Pepperoni and the Vodka Sauce Pizza. The pesto twist on a classic pepperoni was inventive and delicious, while the vodka sauce pizza was creamy, cheesy, and satisfying. The Tompkins Square (BBQ chicken) and Washington Square (pepperoni) pizzas were also delicious, offering classic flavors executed with quality ingredients. Also, don’t miss the Parmesan Bread Bites—buttery, garlicky, and perfectly seasoned with pecorino and parsley, making for an ideal side dish. Nuovo York Pizza offers incredible flavors, fresh ingredients, and a cozy vibe. Highly recommend checking this spot out—you won’t be disappointed!

Came here as a group of adults with kids good pizza and a good price for new york City. As a Brit I discovered root beer in this restaurant and I loved it

Recommended by the hotel after arriving late. Wasn’t sure when we first approached because of the set up but my goodness, am I glad we stayed. Select your slice which they then heat up in the pizza oven. So tasty and really good value. Highly recommend the pepperoni and mushroom. I don’t think this place gets enough credit!

great spot on the UWS! I was skeptical - dumb name and it didn't look like anything was piping fresh out of the oven. but the reviews were great and we were in the area after visiting NY Historical Society. The square with eggplant was amazing - tangy sauce, crust with a little crunch, eggplant that was easy to bite, and just the right amount of cheese. I will get this again for sure. It was $5.50 or $6 per piece. I also go a regular plain which was above average but nothing significantly special. All the pizza is sitting out and they reheat what you select. they did NOT make our food piping hot but it tasted so good I didn't even bother to complain. they have a lot of compelling choices. it's obviously popular because it got really busy after we sat down (around 2:30). I saw a few other locations that looked like they have the same food but I went to this one on 80th and Amsterdam.

We ordered a few slices but the star was the vodka pizza! We went back another time because it was so good. Online it said you can add toppings but when I asked for some meat added to the vodka slice they said no!

The pizza dough was so soft dough it fell apart when I tried to pick it up. Couldn’t fold the paper plate over because of all the grease. I love a NY slice, but this was not that. This was a pile of greasy cheese and pepperoni that was very hard to eat.

We absolutely loved this pizza. They have many selections and very fresh. You cannot go wrong. Place is a bit small but its New York. Definitely will return.

If you want some lovely, inexpensive pizza whilst in New York this is the place to go. There were lots of different pizza slices to choose from, and once you select your order the pizza slices are placed in the big pizza oven to warm the slices up so they are piping hot. Service was quick, and the pizza was delicious and well priced!

Found this pizza place on yelp and decided to try. Did not disappoint! That was the BEST pizza my son & I have ever had & we are native New Yorkers. He has never eaten the crust but he said the pizza was so good he also wanted the crust. That crust is perfection with just the right balance of crispness, chew, & taste. And the sauce is really flavorful!! We tried the sausage pizza and garlic knots. They don't skimp on the sausage at all and the garlic knots are huge, fresh, & full of garlicky flavor. The sauce that comes with is just as flavorful as the pizza sauce & might be the same as it's so fresh /flavorful. Thank goodness we have such a place on the UWS now! Cannot wait to go back! HINT: We went on a Saturday night around 6:15pm.and all the tables (seats total ~32 ppl) were occupied with a growing line of folks eyeing to see when spaces would free up. Turn around fairly quick but we decided to take out & go home. If u want a table right away on a saturday night, go before 6:15pm ish.

Lots of choices of ready made slices. We like the upside down slices- sauce on top. They are all good and it's quick since they have so many pies ready.

Quick stop for lunch with a range of pizzas. Ordered by the slice and each of us enjoyed their choices. Wouldn't order a salad again though.

I have lived in NYC for 12 years now, and this is definitely the best NY Style pizza in NYC. My husband and I order delivery from here weekly. If you’re on the UWS and in need of some pizza, this is the place to go.

First day in NYC. We initially decided on a different restaurant, but they had no table by. The time we got there. We saw this pizza place on the walk down. Good choice for a quick and easy dinner. Tons of styles of pizza to order. You pick what you want and they re-heat. I had the margherita. Boys had spicy pepperoni and a couple of others! Amazing pizza! Crust yum. Sauce super yum.

Great pizza. I loved the spicy pepperoni pizza. Lots of options and great tasting pizza. This place is not a far walk from the museum either.

Solid pizza place. Almost felt like Brooklyn pizza and really close. Would come again because it was very satisfying with reasonable prices.

Pizza was just ok, sorta on the salty side. I picked this place after a Google search on pizza shops in the city. Once I was here, I saw a sign at the counter that offers patrons a free cheese slice for a 5 star Google review. Now I know why this place had almost 5 perfect stars lol. I think Ray's Pizza is muchhhhh better!

Stumbled across this place today and boy am I glad I did! Been to many pizza places in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, Long Island. This one is close to the top. Had a Margherita slice and a regular slice. Both were outstanding. Both were thin crust, traditional NY pizza with a "crunch" when biting in (so many slices in NYC are doughy and soft). Both had great sauce and cheese and were really tasty. Can't beat this place on the UWS.
Pizza was my favorite, the staff was rude, and not “typical” rude. Just rude.
This was the best pizza I had in New York. The sauce was the right about of thick and salty. The cheese was textured well and also flavorful. The dough was soft, chewy and thin in the right places. And the staff apparently knew it. The guy at the register the night we ate there was a straight up jerk. Not in the “I’m in a hurry, please do this quickly” way that is pretty typical of everyone we encountered. It’s a vibe and I’m fine with it. This guy charged us for food and when we asked about it, he gave us a blank stare as though we were idiots. The other guys who were busting their butts and this guy did not seem to communicate well with one another, which was just weird. Anyways, it was worth it, so whatever!
