My husband and I decided to stop for a late lunch along with our 2 boys and a friend. We frequent the craft beer scene and like Manayunk Brewery beers. Our table sat for 15 minutes before we were greeted. We asked to order immediately and requested that our sons' food be brought as soon as they were ready. Approximately 30 minutes later all of the adult food was brought out (lukewarm) and our children's food still had yet to arrive. The waiter was kind enough to offer to comp their meals. While we were waiting for our kids food, we witnessed the table next to us be bussed. The busser used the floor broom to clean items off the table. No sanitizing wipe was used on the table and it was immediately set to be used again. When brought to the attention of the manager in duty, his response was only that the individual was new and to apologize. Between this vile health and safety violation, poor order management, and overpriced, cold food I will never step foot in this establishment again.

My husband and I have made it a point of going to Manayunk Brewery for the live jazz Sunday brunch everytime we visit Philly. We've never been disappointed. The selection of food is excellent, the staff is always courteous and the music is perfect.

We visited here for the first time on a Sunday. Live jazz and brunch, or order from the menu. We sat on the deck overlooking the Schuylkill River on a beautiful afternoon. We started with the beer sampler-9 samples for $8! Love it! We had the nachos, a burger, salads, and the brisket sandwich. The food was tasty, the beer was decent ( our favorites were the Monk from the yunk and the Belgian Blonde). Awesome atmosphere and great space on a beautiful summer day. We'll be back!!

Recently visited here with 4 dining companions. Among the 5 of us, I was the only one who received the correct order. Although the manager did visit our table and offer an apology, it did not really rectify the situation to our satisfaction. It was more of a speech from a script. And to make up for the oversights, 2 of my fellow diners were given their meals to go, since the other 3 of us were already finished eating. Unfortunately, they were burgers. Maybe there are some diners who don't mind reheating a leftover burger, but no one at my table would. And to make matters worse, one of them was ordered with a side salad, which was placed into the same container with the hot burger. The 2 other diners received what they ordered; however, the items were not served the way that they were ordered, so it took away from their meals. Not to mention 3 people sitting there eating, while 2 others watched them since they never got their food until we were leaving. Not well done at all.

Went for an early dinner while visiting our daughter who lives in Manayunk. I really like the atmosphere and young vibe of the area. Had the Manayunk Lager and it was very good. They have a sushi bar that looked inviting, but I went more traditional. I was very surprised at how large the place is! They also have a large event space that looked very nice. Server was Joshua and he did a fine job. I had the meat loaf & mac-n-cheese skillet. It was very tasty. Wife had her usual well done burger (I know, I know... I have tried, people. I really have!). Daughter had the turkey burger and liked it. Definitely need to go back and try that sushi! If you are in Manayunk, it is certainly worth a visit.

Very good milk stout. The Crunch chocolate and peanut butter was too heavy and tasted too strongly of both. All beers are flavorful. We ate here on a night there was jazz playing, which appeared to be an open mic event. Nice background music without being overpowering. The clam dip was good, although a bit heavy on the onions and chips were "stale" (not surprising in a damp basement restaurant), fish tacos were very good, and sushi was good. Service was excellent...Our waitress was very quick. Parking can be a challenge in this area.

A group of 6 of us went for an early dinner on a Tuesday. The food was excellent and the drinks came out great. We were very surprised at how large the salads were when they came out - they were definitely sharing sizes!! The salad with apple and brie was absolutely delicious and so was the poutine and the scallops. Can't wait to go back!

My family has been doing a holiday brunch at the Brewery for the last 3 years. They easily accommodate our larger party. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The brunch buffet is good with many choices and the live music is very nice , never overwhelming. We really enjoy our gatherings here. We have also booked baby and wedding showers here. The Brewery is always easy to work with and never disappoints. We will continue to come back.

Suitable for many different occasions and clientele. Service was friendly. Pizza, sushi and beer were all good. Nice atmosphere, large building. I like the outdoor section, has a nice river view

We visited this restaurant after a baseball game at LaSalle University. There were 9 of us and we didn't have reservations, although it was only 4pm on a Sunday. We were seated in their covered area of their ourdoor seating area which was great! It was beautiful outside and so it made it extra special to sit there. The food was ok, I had a salad with grilled chicken....probably had 4-5 small slices of cold chicken on it. My husband had a brisket sandwich which was mostly made of a roll, maybe 3 slices of meat with cheese on it. My son had sushi which was perfect for him. Service was ok. Had to wait for 2 people to get their meals 10 mins after the rest of us had already gotten ours. We would go there again for a drink and the outdoor seating/ atmosphere and for my son to get sushi but would probably not eat anything else there.

We meet up friends for lunch and choose this casual brew pub with a varied menu. It was rather busy thus the slower service then we would of liked. However, our server made up for it with her chipper personally. The drinks were pretty good and the food came out correctly. We will make the Manayunk Brewery our new regular spot going forward.

Huge menu. Got take out from them the next week. Looking forward to going back! Love their zucchini fries.

Manayunk Brewery is a beer joint. The beer is decent at the long bar; the food leaves a lot to be desired.

Ok, being "old School" and having the advantage of working for myself (on the civilian side of the ledger) I dropped-in after a number of years... The atmosphere is the same and it is what is to be expected in Manayunk. That's a good thing! The beer selection is always good, if not a little off-the-beaten path... it is what is to be expected in Manayunk. That too, is a good thing. The lunch was average and I knew that going into this area of operation. Don't worry about it. Good place for a beer or two. Ok (as always for a bite). A great place to end the day if you're only working the AM.

We stopped by for their Sunday brunch. It is overpriced for what you get. The service was terrible! We could never seem to find our waiter. Food was mediocre. Much of the lunch portion of buffet was seafood but not fresh seafood. We waited approx 30-45 mins just for the waiter to bring us our check and then return it to us when we gave him our credit card. This was our first time there and most likely our last. Based on our visit I cannot recommend.

I've been here several times for the Tuesday night jazz jam session, and while the food is okay, the service has consistently been about the worst I've ever had anywhere. This past Tuesday, was the worst experience of all. I arrived around 7, when the jam was starting and the place was far from full. I sat with friends who were already eating. The waitress came over to them to refill their drink order, but ignored me completely - which was pretty much consistent with my prior experience at this place. About 15 minutes later 2 more people joined our table and the hostess directed a waitress to them. She took their order, but I had to waive my hand in her face to get her to take mine. A few minutes later, another person joined our table. A few minutes later, a different server took her order. About 20 minutes later, the last person at the table had her order, but nothing had come to either me or the couple who came in after me. Someone got the waitresses attention, and shortly their beers arrived, but not my drink. I had to struggle to get her attention yet again. Another 5-10 minutes passed before I got my drink. She noticed the couple didn't have their food and went off to get it. But not mine. I had to flag her down again and she seemed surprised to learn that I had even ordered food. By now, it was 8 o'clock, and I was hungry, so I left. The food is pretty decent, but it's bar food, not haute cuisine. There's no excuse for having to wait an hour for a plate of chicken and fries. The only suggestion I have is that if you want to listen to the music and get some dinner, sit at the bar. The bartenders are confined behind the bar, so it's easier to get their attention.

The mahogony wings used to be large and truly delicious...now they are tiny and unappetizing. Our order came out wrong 2x. The prices have gone up and the amount of food has gone down. Big disappointment.

We went here to watch the World Cup. It was very disappointing that the large outdoor tv was SD and had poor picture quality. The food was ok, I think it was overpriced for what it is. You pay for the location.

I'm trying really hard to find a single good thing to write about this place. We came on a hot Saturday and asked for a table inside. They told us that there was no table inside but that they can seat us outside and move us inside when the table is ready - which was great. The staff came to us 3 times to updated us that the table inside is "being set up" and then the 4th time they told us it will take 15-20 minutes for it to be ready. This made us doubt that they even begun setting up a table for us in the first place which I believe was eventually the case. We ended up sitting outside which was clearly not our preference but the worst part is that during this entire this time the table was being "set up" they did not take our order because they were waiting for the table inside to be ready... putting this aside, we moved on. But it didn't get any better: They forgot to take an order from 2 people so we had to call them back. When the drinks came out, many of the drinks we order were missing. They did not provide us with any beer samples that we asked for, which could have been a nice courtesy of them after all we've been through (for God's sake - this is a brewery!!) but instead encouraged us to order the beer samples from the menu which is to me an unprofessional and greedy approach or maybe the best approach if you don't want your customer to ever return again. The food took A LOT of time to be ready even after the order was finally put in. Even the kids meals came late. On top of all this the food is expensive and isn't worth the money. The "Caprese Salad" which is under the salad category is actually 4 pieces of tomato (that's right, four), with 4 matching pieces of mozzarella on top. It's not even a starter. And it's 11 dollars!!! What a shame. There are places you can get a decent meal for that price. When we mentioned all this (and more) to the server, they didn't even bother to properly apologize and didn't even show the slightest effort to make us happy as if they were trying really hard to make us never return to this place (which actually is a success for them. we won't.) Even the home made beer is not that great so i don't see anything that will make it worth ever coming back to this place. You can easily have a much better experience at your local Applebees drinking a Sam Adams or some other beer on tap.

We had a wonderful family meal. Our server Morgan was excellent. So much good food we took home 3 boxes! Highly recommend.

Love the Brewery! It's our go to when we have out of town guests. Have great food. The stone over pizzas are delicious. Brewski Burger is awesome, along with the Skillet Baked Chocolate chip cookie! Love all the beers they brew, especially the SCHUYLKILL PUNCH Raspberry Ale The location is great on the river. They have a lot of outdoor patio seating too. The weekend nightlife there is fun too with a live band. Cover is $5 after 10pm. There's a couple bars indoors and also outdoors. There's another bar upstairs with some seating. The second floor banquet room turns into a DJ/dance floor.

One of two drinks tasted of soapy water; the other was not replenished the whole evening. The Brew House Burger was ordered "medium well," and came out charred. The Chicken and Shrimp Christopher was bland. The quality of food and service for the prices was surprising.

The scene is one of the best in Manayunk. Large space and good pricing. In the summer the out door deck is great.

So, they have sushi at a brewery. Weird choice? Yes, but I promise you that it's actually quite good. Not the best in Philly, but good, nonetheless. The brewery has about 3-4 of their own brews (usually in cans) and also carries a small selection of some others. Food is consistently pretty good, and you can dine outside overlooking the river- even when it's colder outside. (They put down the window coverings and have heat lamps... This doesn't help against the extreme cold very much, but...) Overall, a good choice in Manayunk for some craft beer and some good bar food.

The room is cool. Such a great, old building. The beer was somewhat ho-hum. The food was passable, but not memorable. We had the mushroom and pepperoni pizzas. The place gets a bit loud. I did notice some sound mitigation efforts in place. The help was rather listless. The prices were a bit high given the quality. I'm sure that it bats 1.000 with the 'keep the drinks flowing, food is simply a base' crowd.

I've attended this bar on multiple occasions with no problem in the past. However, tonight was another story. I was visiting my family from DC for the weekend and we decided to stop in to this location for some drinks with a few friends. At the end of the night, around 1:45-50 a.m., we were standing around waiting for our youngest sister to finish using the restroom when we saw a few individuals weighing themselves on the scale the establishment has near the restroom area. A few individuals began hopping on the scale to weigh themselves and so I, completely sober, decided to hop on after two other individuals jumped on to see their weight. After I jumped on the scale, one Brew Pub bouncer immediately rushed me and began shouting in my face "CAN YOU READ?!" while his associate began placing me in a headlock. As I hope this review at 3:32 a.m. attests (and further earlier video evidence does as well), I was completely sober at the time and utterly confused as to what was happening and immediately placed both my arms up in the air in a non-aggressive, complacent manner (as multiple witnesses can attest). I have no criminal history whatsoever and have never ever in my life been kicked out of a bar or any other similar establishment. However in this case, after I hopped on the scale, just like a few individuals beforehand had, I was immediately screamed at and placed in a headlock. I calmly stated "if you want me to leave, I will leave...I am complying." My brother and friends also chimed in stating that I was completely complying and that we would all leave if they wanted us to. The bouncer ignored us and as I was walking with the bouncer out of the bar, 100 percent complying, while being placed in a sleeper-hold head-lock (with unnecessary pressure on my jugular veins and throat) another bouncer apparently rushed my backside and was about to strike the back of my head with his fists. My brother stepped in and struck the bouncer, pushing him away from striking the back of my head. Immediately my brother asked why we were being assaulted and stated that we were complying and that we would all happily leave (as we were all ready to leave anyway once our sister exited the restroom). I then continued to exit the establishment while one of the bouncers held me in a sleeper-hold and placed unnecessary excessive pressure on my neck and throat. On the way out he knocked my jacket off of my shoulder onto the ground (again while I was giving zero resistance). I calmly stated "can I get my jacket, which has my phone charger in it before I leave?" Again, the ENTIRE time I had both my arms high up in the air and provided zero resistance to the bouncer (as multiple witnesses can attest). On the way outside, the bouncer continuously and unnecessarily insulted me while I continued to calmly explain to him that I was happily leaving the bar but I would like to grab my jacket and phone charger. Once outside the bar multiple bouncers began overly aggressively shouting at me about noncompliance and "trespassing." I then calmly explained that I've been entirely compliant the entire time and I just needed to get my jacket and phone charger. One of my friends who was present stated that he could get the jacket and phone charger for me. I said "thank you." Then the bouncer who was shouting in my face for no intelligible reason, said "HE can get it....you can't go nowhere!" After that another random bouncer began shouting at me asking if I knew "how to read" and yelling other random things about "trespassing." Again, the entire time, with my hands up in the air in a nonaggressive manner, I stated "I just need to get my jacket and phone charger." Once my friend came back outside with my items, the bouncers continued to verbally accosted us, yelling that we were "losers" or other similar odd epithets. All of this seems an unnecessary and over zealous reaction for a sober 32 year-old young professional hopping on a scale at 1:45-50 a.m. after multiple other individuals did the same thing. If I had violated some bar rule, I would have happily left the establishment with zero resistance if someone had calmly told me I had broken some rule and needed to leave. Instead I was immediately physically assaulted and yelled at. In conclusion, the bouncers at this establishment are completely unprofessional and ridiculously aggressive. It seems like they simply are looking to create physical fights with individuals and try to find the smallest justification for putting their hands on an individual in an aggressive manner. as a means to inject some sort of meaning into their lives. They seem completely ill-trained, ill-informed, and ignorant of the law and best-business-practices for their profession. I would not recommend anyone frequent this clown-show of an establishment if they are looking for a chill, non-confrontational, good time. I am currently examining legal avenues for remediation. I hope management takes notice.

This was the first place we went to eat during our trip to Philly, and it did not disappoint! The food was great and the Yunkin Pumpkin brew was SO good!! It started our trip off on the right foot and was the perfect food and drink experience to kick off the fall season. Highly recommend it.

On my way to Philadelphia I took a side route to alleviate the chocker block of the Schuykill expressway. I found my way through a town called Manayunk looking for a bite to eat and a beer. Unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. I was delighted to come across the local micro brewery in a very small unique town. The entrance which was a bit of a challenge since the front door doesn't operate and eventually found my way to to the side entrance. It had a good look though. Clean, welcoming and spacious. Possibly a hidden gem for lunch. Upon entering I was greeted by an empty restaurant and a very lovely hostess that offered me a table or the bar. I chose the bar. The reviews told me the sushi was good but it wasn't available at lunch. I ordered an IPA because it is usually a safe bet. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great. Looking at the menu made me a bit queasy. Very much basic American bar food. Burgers, sandwiches, wings and a lot of fried options. No imagination and I began to worry about my choice to stop in this place. The very nice bartender told me the brewery and restaurant had been in operation since 1996. This gave me hope. My food the California grilled chicken sandwich arrived after 45 minutes. The bartender was busy talking to another employee at the end of the bar and failed to check on my order. At this point I was regretting my decision to stop here. When I got this attention I ordered one of their cask beers and he went to fetch my food. My food was served and I tried the IPA cask beer choice. I usually prefer cask beer to beer that has additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure. The beer was bad, very undrinkable and I told him. For a brewery that has been in operation since 1996 I expected more. I expected greatness. Not swill. I asked for a glass of water and tried my sandwich which was basic, small and cold in the middle. Nothing special here. He asked me about the food and I told him it was still cold he offered to heat it up and I decided to leave. I paid the bill and left after using the toilet. To my surprise there was a vendor in the mens that played music and sold perfume or paper towels for tips. This was to my surprise and shocking to have to pay for toilet use. Hopefully the brewery will work with a better brewer because there is a lot of potential here. The Manayunk Brewery was a chance stop and very disappointing. I wished I had kept moving. I would suggest others to keep moving. There must be better options than this in Philadelphia.

Manayunk is a quirky little neighborhood with many interesting shops. If you find yourself here, the Manayunk brewery is a nice place to stop and eat. Parking is available at many pay lots just off of Main Street. You'll see plenty of signs. The Manayunk Brewery is in an old building that looks like it is a warehouse. They have an entrance in an alley with a large neon sign above the walkway. The place has a very classy atmosphere. We stopped for lunch. They offer primarily pizzas and sandwiches, but do have a nice list of specials each day. We got chicken fingers and the sandwich special and both were good, but nothing you couldn't find in any nice restaurant. For beer, I got the Manayunk Lager and my girlfriend got the Schuykill Punch. The lager was good, no surprises. The punch was strange, but good. It is made with raspberries. Many raspberry beers I've tasted have been bitter, but this was very sweet. Definitely something to get if you are looking for something different. They offer a limited selection of bottled beers at the restaurant as well as other merchandise. If you are in the Philly area, you have plenty of brewpub options (Nodding Head, Independence, Sly Fox, Victory, Iron Hill, General Lafayette, etc), so this may not be your number one choice, but it is a nice place for sure.

This was my 3rd or 4th visit to Manayunk Brewery & Restaurant over as many years. We were disappointed on this visit. We arrived for an early lunch with a toddler in tow. The restaurant was totally empty and we were shown to a corner table, presumably due to the expectation that our table might be noisier than the norm. Our waiter was very accommodating, although he determined, upon question, that MB&R did not have crayons to accompany the children's activity menu. Likewise, they did not have either of the first two beers I selected from the menu. We ordered a hot dog from the children's menu, a turkey pastrami Reuben from the daily specials and chicken fingers from the regular menu. All were good, but the Reuben was very cold in the center. The fries and chips were excellent. By the time we completed our meal, three other tables in the dining room were occupied. For some reason, the hostess chose to seat these three parties at the three closest tables to us in the large dining room. I first thought this action might be to help a waiter who was assigned to all the patrons, but that wasn't the case. There were at least three separate waiters assigned to the guests. MB&R is well located, on the main drag in this "destination" village. The restaurant is well laid out on the river with indoor, outdoor and bar seating. Plenty of choices. Having said that, we probably will look at other options the next time we at dining in the area. There are other places that are better than average in the area.

Came in for a beer and appetizer and was pleasantly surprised! We enjoyed their IPA and their American Sardine. Bartender was very friendly (I think her name was Alex?) plenty of areas to enjoy, inside and out. If you enjoy sampling beers, don’t miss this one!

Enjoyed my meal here. Waiter was friendly and came around often. Beer wasn't bad, to many IPAs for my taste. Good was pricey. They had live jazz music when I was there. My Captains chicken was good. So was the sushi. Wouldn't mind going back to try other items on the menu.

Beautiful view of the river. Very good food. Reasonable prices. Nice service. We had hiked the length of the river in back of the restaurant and finished off at the Brewery and Restaaruant.

We came here during the Mummers Mardi Gras weekend. It was very crowded and loud, but the Mummers put on an excellent show. They bake pizza in an big oven on premises. I had the chicken sandwich which was good but the chicken was a little sparse, but otherwise, everything was good.

Stopped in for a bite to eat after a hard day of mountain biking. The brew was cold and tasty. We sat in the bar facing the deck and relaxed in air conditioned splendor. The classic burger was delicious. The waitress described the chowder as being having light cream. It was as thick as drywall spackle.

This is a great venue to hold a wedding. Service and food were great. The whole setting couldn't have been better. I enjoyed attending a wedding here over high end hotels.

The food choices are many here. Obviously I got my favorite, crab cakes. They were awesome. The service here is excellent. The prices are reasonable. I recommend it highly.

My husband and I were given a gift tasting trip to Manayunk Brewery on 10/04/14. We had a great time, great beers, cheeses and pizza, we even afterwards had bison burgers on the deck outside. Every one and all the food was great. Just had a few suggestions, Ryan our beer expert was great, but it would have been better if he had a mike on, he talked in the middle of the long table and we could not always hear him or the people down at the other end of the table. We sat at the end near the bar and pizza oven and people/waiters were all walking and talking by us. Also the juke box could have been turn down or off. I think also if we were at a round table facing each other or they put the tables together so we faced each other, that would have been very good. Also we were in a bar area, also people were eating in there, there was a baby shower going on in the next area and people walking/talking going through and by us. It was just a shame, we enjoyed Ryan, but we could not hear a lot of what he was saying. Also we found it odd that we paid $10 for parking and had we left after the beer tasting, we would have gotten our parking money back BUT we stayed for dinner, so we lost the $10.00. We were sort of penalized for staying longer. Manayunk Brewery should offer a bit of a discount for parking if you decide to stay for dinner. We did enjoy the whole experience and beer and cheeses and pizza. And the bison burger were to die for and the service excellent and the place has so many different areas to eat in or outside. A great experience.

OMG I loooove manayunk! the location is ace: overlooking the river, from several decks/tarrasses, each with its own bar. the brunch per se is held inside, where you"ll find a crazy buuffet, with an amazing omelet stand. the only drawback is that you need to get there early, like 12.30 at the latest, otherwise you'll spend a lot of time queing for your food. Best sausages in PA. the only place that comes close in temrs of brunch is the Winbery in Devon.

Ewww...ManaYUCK. We think they make the horrible beer with the dirty river water. Very disappointing. We sat down outside on the enormous deck overlooking said river. NICE location !! All the beers sounded interesting, so the waiter recommended the "tasting experience". All eight choices that sounded so great were all terrible. We hoped the food would be better, but alas it was not. I had a tiny dry cheeseburger that was lost on its huge bun. My husband had an equally dry pulled pork sandwich. Very disappointing.

I got the BBQ ribs. They were ok. There wasn’t anything wrong with them but there wasn’t anything spectacular about them either. The best part of my meal was an apple cinnamon cake with ice cream desert. The cake and ice cream were delicious and hit the spot. With my meal, drink, and desert, I paid about $30. The service was slow. The waiter was nice and helpful, but just slow.

I read the reviews for the Manayunk Brewery and I was definitely put off by them. Bad service, food and beer? Why go here at all? Because I like to review places for myself and I'm glad I did. What is up with you people? I'm sorry, but I just didn't get any of that at all. Went with my better half and her sister and niece. We ordered the Hot Crab Dip as an appetizer and it was terrific. The crab was certainly present and it wasn't too soupy. The toasted French Baguette slices were perfect. All of the ladies ordered the Classic Burger with Blue Cheese and loved them. I got the Southern Fried Chicken Littles and thought they were tender and delicious. The fries were those coated things I hate, so they bailed on that score, but order the home cooked chips and spare yourself. The service was impeccable. Now. It was 1 Pm on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty sparse of people. But they were quick, attentive and very friendly. I have an idea. Don't review them on a Saturday night when your there at midnight with 300 of your closest friends. They may be a little busy. Now for the beers. Are they as good as Victory Brewery? Absolutely. Are they as strong? Absolutely not. If your a Hop's lover then your going to hate them. They are fairly mild and to the taste of a Hops hater... like me. I thought they were all terrific, had the flight of eight they had on tap that day and order the Hoopa Smurf. Great stuff. IS the domestic and imported selection crap? Yes. But sitting out at that Tiki Bar on a warm summer afternoon with some friends is priceless. Bring the kids. Leave the Attitude.

The food is OK, but nothing you'd drive 20 min for. The beer is disappointing. Manayunk does have good entertainment. But, for food and drink, Independence Brewery (in Center City) and Iron Hill (in the western suburbs) are both far better.

The place seems more like a restaraunt than a brewery. A little dark inside, although it was very clean. The popcorn was nice to snack on. Beer was ok. Flight was just 10.00 for 9 tastes. Went on a Monday afternoon and we were just about the only people there. Got go back when they are busier, will probably be more fun.

I have been there several times, Pizza is great, sushi is prepared by a chef and you have to experience the sunday brunch, everything is on the table for a very reasonable price. Of course for evening great craft beers are always available. Can be noisy at full capacity, but you can enjoy the live music on sunday during brunch.

Been here several times for lunch/dinner. The place is huge and located in a former mill on the river. They have a really nice big deck overlooking the Schuylkill River where I like to sit on a nice day and drink Schuylkill Punch (yummy raspberry lager... very tart) or one of the other beers brewed right here. Too bad they have that tacky neon palm tree on the deck. They also have a bar outside by the deck that looks kind of like a tiki-bar. The music they play is usually really bad 80s music or elevator music. They brew several different beers (all good) yet people who come here seem to still order bottles of Miller light. The food is plain and mediocre. Think $10.50 burgers that aren't that great. I'd stick with the pizzas- they're decent. The service has always been good. The atmosphere in the bar area is very, very meat-market which unfortunately is usually the case on Main St, Manayunk. The dining room is less so but a bit gloomy. The last few times they had a bathroom attendant which is annoying as I don't need to pay someone to get me a paper towel from the dispenser. I'd recommend this place to stop for a beer on a nice day if you're already in the area. They have a jazz brunch but I haven't tried it.

Celebration of Life Birthday total of 16ppl, Sunday afternoon. Every type of breakfast item you could want, including made to order omelet station, they even had items for those who prefer a more healthy selection...no was disappointed. All for $23 pp. Location is great, there doing the Eagles game. Several people sitting at the bar, live band playing jazz nice atmosphere. We were there for 3 hours and thoroughly enjoyed our time. If you a meeting a group and looking for on-street parking better off parking in lot much easier on the weekend

Good beer, but the food is always a letdown.

We had to send 4 drinks back twice because of ants in the drinks. Appetizers came out quickly and were good. It took 45 mins for the food to come out and not all at the same time. Don’t order the fish and chips- not good. On a high note, the waiter was excellent.

The 4 of us arrived at 7:30 on 11/25/2019. We were seated and given a pot of lukewarm tea. There were 4 other tables already seated and eating. We waited as the 2 waiters moved about. We never received menus and no one ever came back. At 7:50 we got up, put on our coats and I stated that they never even gave us menus or took our orders. The waiters with a smirk on his face stated that I should have asked for a menu! Maybe they need to learn the fundamentals of being a good waiter. We went across the street to Yanako and had a wonderful dinner and the tea was nice and hot. We have been coming to Han Dynasty since 2012 and like their food but for me their fortune cookie has crumbled👎

We enjoyed a delightful and delicious meal here recently. Excellent Italian fare - fresh sauces and breads; Canneloni was superb. Wine selections a bit pricey by the glass. We inquired about a BYOB policy, as we'd been shopping and had purchased wine that day; we were told the corking fee was $15 - for lunch, a bit high. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We anticipated a somewhat late lunch, but the portions were so generous that we decided to take a pass on dinner later that evening.

Attending brunch with the family and the food wasn't good at all. Service was ok. There was a lot of different items on the menu but nothing was great. The eggs was nasty, the waffles wasn't hot and easy to eat. Won't go back for food. Drinks was great!

Cool building with a nice indoor and semi outdoor bar area that overlooks the creek. There are tables in the outdoor area as well. It's a place a great atmosphere that has very good choice of drinks. Variety of food options. My pizza was average. I also had a bowl of soup which was good, but not great, so I would give the food average. but it's in an ideal location and I'd try it again definitely.

I visited Manayunk Brewery the other day for lunch. I would have to say it is very overpriced for the amount of food they give you. I got the beet salad for $11.00. It was tasty but it was tiny, maybe about 1/2 cup of lettuce, 2 pecans, and a tsp of goat cheese. I was really appalled. My mom also got the beet salad. My daughter got a ceasar salad for $9.00 which was bigger but it only had iceberg lettuce and a few croutons. When the waiter asked my mom how her salad was....she said it was good but very tiny. So the waiter preceded to tell her that he went to the Four Seasons and got a glass of wine and paid 25.00. Well this restaurant is not even close to the Four Seasons! I wouldn't waste my time going there. It's way over priced for sub par food.

Met some friends here for some dinner and drinks. We sat outside on a lovely September evening. Nice view of the river and walking bridge. The craft beer was delicious as was the food. Pricing is about right for what we got. It is a fairly large restaurant, but the food came out quickly. Definitely one of the places you should check out if you are in the area.

My husband and I dined here last night. The interior is pretty cool, but very open and kind of loud. There is an outdoor eating area, but it wasn't open due to the time of year. The menu was fine, nothing exciting. Our food was enjoyable. The beer was good. Service was ... okay. The bathrooms are in need of a revamp - especially since they have attendants. Not exactly what I expect at this type of establishment. Not in a rush to go back.

Yes, I know that it is getting on towards winter, but the deck is the place to be here. I guess we will just have to move inside for my next visit.

We ate dinner here after a trip to NYC. Everything was good but if you order the brisket, be aware that it is more like shaved roast beef and veeeerrrryyyy fatty. Couldn't finish mine. Complained about the am out of fat, easily half the sandwich and the manager didn't do anything more than talk to us about it. Still charged full price.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon around 12:30 and had no wait. The restaurant has a large selection including salads, sandwiches, soups and so on. The soups today were shrimp bisque and French onion. We had the shrimp soup and it was very good. My in laws both had chicken sandwiches which they enjoyed while my daughter had a hamburger, my wife a salad and I had the turkey pastrami sandwich. All of the dishes were excellent. They also have about 8 choices of their own beer on draft as well as several bottle options. I had the flight which was 2ozs of each of the 8 available($8). The service was very good and the bathroom clean. Average prices for this area.

What a fabulous little find. We had discovered Manayunk Brewing Company at the Fonthill Castle brew fest on Saturday. We enjoyed the people we meant as well as their brews so much that we went for lunch on Sunday. What a lovely little gem in the middle of Manayunk! I had the steak salad and my husband had the chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. I absolutely loved my dubbel and husband enjoyed his stout. I liked it so much that we bought a growler to take home. Brooke, our waitress, was friendly, helpful and delightful. We have added Manayunk to our list of favorite breweries and will make sure that we add it to our tour when family and friends come to visit to. The outdoor space is large and inviting. Looking forward to a return.

A group of us were here for lunch and everyone seemed to enjoy the various sandwiches and the two appetizers that we shared. I had one of the daily specials (corned beef special) and it was quite tasty with nice quality ingredients. It's a huge place; we sat in the open area which was quite pleasant. The music was a bit loud for lunch, the menu is limited, and the bottles of water (plastic cups) were sorta tepid in temperature, but those are just minor points. It was an enjoyable lunch, good service, and with a cool industrial vibe.

Met up with 10 other friends from college. We sat outside, but it was covered, being that it is only March. It did get chilly by the end of the night. We had a bit of everything from drinks, to meals, to desserts. Everyone was happy with what they got. It was a great place to talk. Lots of people in our group and there, but still not too loud, that we couldn't hear each other. TV's all over tuned to different sporting events. Seems like a great place to go for a game. Parking in their lot was $10. There is street parking, but as I don't know the neighborhood, I went for the lot.

A random walk through was rewarded with a cool jazzy atmosphere including local jazz talent performing. Good food and drinks and a great location in buzzy, cool Manayunk native for 'watering hole'??? A must see, taste and hear!

First visit was to attend a bridal shower and the atmosphere was so inviting I returned later before attending a concert at the Dell East. Location is great and the chicken nachos and crab dip is excellent. Service, staff, food and atmosphere was great as you can eat near the water outdoors, outdoors under cover, or inside. As mentioned, we stopped for a quick bite before attending a concert at the Dell East and the service was swift and only a 15 minute ride to the concert afterward.

had dinner outside with my wife, daughter and son-in-law on a perfect summer evening. The place is huge and has many different layers of fun...beautiful indoor spots and a sprawling outdoor seating area. Our waiter was great, right on top of things, the beer was cold, the drinks were tasty and the food was very good, though my wife's citrus salad's chicken was a bit dry. I had the brisket sandwich which was excellent. we had honey wings and coconut shrimp and both were very good. In all, a very nice experience.

Standard pub/brewery place with average food. Service was mediocre. Atmosphere was louder than we usually like. A sign said valet parking was available but no evidence of any parking staff when we pulled up. Fortunately a pay parking area was available about a block away, since street parking as scarce. Basically an OK place if you’re in the neighborhood and hungry but we wouldn’t make a special trip.

I went there to dinner with my wife and step-son on my first night there in Philadelphia on his recommendation ( college student there in Philadelphia ). There was a good crowd there and we were immediately seated. We ordered our drinks and I had a craft beer ( don't remember the name ) but it was good. I ordered a steak, my wife had the meatloaf and step-son had a buffalo chicken sandwich. After a short wait, our meals arrived. After a few bites, we came to the conclusion that the food was very good. The restaurant had a great vibe and I can only imagine how it is on the weekends. They do have live music. They also have outdoor seating for the summer where u can sit by the river. I recommend this location for a light dinner and good times with friends.

The Jazz brunch yesterday was a huge disappointment for me and my family of 10. To begin with, the band was playing so loud you'd have thought you were at a Vegas show where they thought they were the main attraction. Conversation across the table was nearly impossible without having to shout at each other. I thought dinner music was supposed to be subliminal to the dining experience. The food was also disappointing: some of the warming trays were empty (Eggs Benedict, for one), the sausages and bacon were burned to a crisp, the bread was stale, and whatever meat that was at the unattended carving station is beyond description. My brother-in-law waited 15 minutes for a custom omelet at the egg station. This place has slipped badly. It used to be decent. I blame poor management. Too many other quality places offering brunch for me to go to.

Dined here 3x in the past 5 years or so. Food is consistently good. Fish tacos are great I just wish they give you 3 instead of 2 since the portions are small. Great atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. Friendly staff.

TERRIBLE .... TERRIBLE ......TERRIBLE BURGERS The Menu indicates a top sirloin skirt burger with deep ripe tomatoes...etc. well, the burger was a frozen patty maybe from the cheapest food store. a Burger King for $2.00 tastes hundred times better. Shame on you for charging $16.50. as for the deep thick cut ripe tomatoes, actually an embarrassment, cannot even describe it. on the other hand, the bear was excellent, and so was the nachos

Large business group reserved the back room. Good service, lots of beers, if you like that sort of thing. We ordered several appetizers and they were quite good: nachos, chicken quesadilla, cheese dips, wings. Great place for groups. Parking is a challenge. Street, metered parking.

Nice stop on a nice day. Sit and enjoy a lunch or dinner on the river. Prices are in line with the area, and service was good. They brew their own beer and have a nice variety. I will definitely go back and recommend.

Visited Manyunk Brewery with a small group and was very impressed with the atmosphere and food. The place is HUGE, with distinct seating areas both indoors and outdoors. Food would be considered upscale bar food and they even have a sushi bar inside! It can be very crowded on weekends and parking is not easy to find..so be aware! Was not overly impressed with the service on the outside patio..

My first time. We say out on the patio. Great food...I had chicken quesadillas and nachos! Awesome. We also did some karaoke. Live music talent show and DJ was great.

My kids are huge sushi fans. My husband is not, but he likes beer. Since this restaurant offers sushi, beer, and other stuff, it seemed worth a visit. The ambiance is very nice. Exposed brick and stone work, huge bar, clean & nice sushi bar. The ladies room, however, was in disrepair and was extremely dirty (on a not busy Sunday night). One of the hostesses was eating take out dinner at the hostess stand. That just seemed odd. We had to wait for them to set up and sweep under a table before they sat us. Why? It wasn’t busy. Seemed like the dining area could have been swept while they were waiting for customers. First we ordered sushi. All was very good. They did forget the avocado in my roll, but they fixed it quickly. I absolutely would recommend this restaurant for sushi. However, the rest of the food was meh. I ordered a pizza, but was told they were out of goat cheese. Bummer, so I ordered a turkey burger. It was good, but had some balsamic dressing spilled on the bun. I think that came from my side salad, which had ranch on the side, but some of the veggies in the salad were soaked in balsamic while most were plain. It was... weird. Not sure where the balsamic (definitely NOT ordered) came from. I tried to order chocolate ice cream from the dessert menu- they were also out of that! So, I decided to share a skillet cookie with one of my kids. Skillet cookies can be my favorite thing, but this one was just okay. The cookie could have been cooked more thoroughly. The dessert was COMPLETELY missing the bananas mentioned on the menu. It was rapidly melting, didn’t bother to complain about it. It was just a disappointing visit. If the kids didn’t LOVE the sushi, I would have given less stars because the bathroom was super disgusting and the rest of the food was a let down.

2nd time here. Great atmosphere. We had a large family gathering of 12. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Food was delicious. The Zucchini fries are highly recommended!

I just went there for brunch yesterday (Sunday) with a few friends. There was such a large selection! My favorite was the omelet station and desserts. There were breakfast items, salads, a carving station, waffles, veggies and more! You won't be disappointed. It was $21.95 for as much as you wanted plus $3.50 mimosas.

a great Bar and Brewery the food was good and we enjoyed the beer! I would definitely go back to this place and highly recomend it to anyone who is visiting Manayunk!!!! Plus you can find parking on site with is a huge deal for this part of town.

Came with another couple before trip to key west. Good beer and even better Main Street Poutine! Only complaint, the portion could have been bigger. Will come back.

Had an early dinner outside on the deck. Beers were cold (try the Yunkelweisen, a darker wheat beer -- Delicious!), and the food was delightful. My companion had the Spider Roll from the sushi bar, and I had the spicy scallops. The scallops were moist and tender with a great sear, and were served on a bed of corn salsa. The wait staff was prompt, professional and courteous. A great find, don't miss it.

We visited on Sunday, November 1st. The place was about 1/2 full, yet our server was slow with everything. The beer and food were absolutely delicious- we has sushi, the poutine fries, burgers, and sandwiches. I would give the food and drink a 5. Unfortunately, the service gets a 2. I'll give the place a 2nd try in the summer.

The place is amazing. The restaurant/bar area is gorgeous. The old stone walls, the lighting, the music, the space, the long cushioned bench with pillows! The food was tasty. I had a Manayunk Lager...it was very good! I discovered the area's name comes from the Lenape Indians and it means "the place where we drink!" Absolutely I will in the future! It will be a road trip on a beautiful summer day because it has an awesome outside eating area. The place is a gem!

I accept that my experience may have been unique for the time I was there....BUT, We arrive just after 5pm oct 7, 2017. We could decide which of nine beers available would be good so we got a sample of everything. Every beer tasted bad. It was all flat, lifeless and bad tasting. I ended up choosing the Blond because I wanted a low alchohol beer. I forced it down slowly while waiting well over an hour for our food. We had to ask 3 times where our meals were. We were told the kitchen screwed up an order for a big table. I didnt see any big tables. The place had a great ambiance and the server was friendly ...she even brought us free complimentary water to compensate for our long wait!! With lemon slices!! ;) When my salmon finally arrived it was not bad...but by then the overall experience had soured for me. We also got a pizza which nobody enjoyed. If you're a beer person I would skip this place. Or if they happen to have any of their beers in a can I wouold stick to that.

This place is just ok, we had a nice outdoor seat by the river expecting a great time there. The food was a disappointment, I had the " Award winning hickory smoked brisket " it was a little grayish in color, and tasted like days old deli sliced roast beef and not a hint of hickory smoked flavor. The Fish taco's were battered fried fish with a sprinkle of sauced up Cole slaw, on a dried up homemade tortilla, not much flavor there either. The Coconut shrimp wasn't to bad, it's hard to go wrong with deep fried frozen products. The only thing that I can say that was good, the Sushi. Drinks, the cocktail menu had no prices on it, and after getting the bill I saw why, $$$ My GF wanted to try the brewery's beer, but nothing was available on tap and she had to settle for a choice of 2 of their own beer in cans. the waitress told us due to a flood months ago, tap beer was not ready yet, they didn't make enough to serve. I expected better for the price they charge.

We came here for brunch and we loved it. Had the brunch buffet and beer sampler and champagne. Loved the live jazz and the food was amazing. We would definitely come back

Manayunk is a cute town with a lot to offer, especially brewery wise. Manayunk Brewery encompasses a very original environment and atmosphere while producing amazing food. My boyfriend and I had the nachos for an atmosphere which, was a huge portion and definitely shareable. I had a turkey burger and he had another one of their beef burgers. We took home a growler of beer and overall enjoyed the location, food and staff. The only downfall was there was a large event taking place while we were eating so people were just standing around our table while we were trying to eat. We will be returning though' very original

Manayunk Brewery is a great place to have a great beer and food to match. Their cucumber beer is outstanding and a staple of my summers. They have a great beer selection each time we visit and I also enjoy the lager and cream ale. Their food is first class as evidenced by my picky eaters with empty plates remaining. The pizza is their favorite and I enjoy the popcorn sprinkled with old bay seasoning. Priced well and can and growler takeout available. Enjoy!

We went for my husbands birthday. Deck view very nice. Food was decent. When our entrees were brought to our table only 4 of our 5 dinners arrived. After the waitress asked what my husbands dinner was she went to get it only to return to tell him they were out of the meatloaf/Mac and cheese dinner. Really??! Being told they're out when the other dinners are served?? And for his birthday dinner. They need to work on this this. The waitress did take off for his two beers but I felt more should've been done. Also, adding gratuity automatically for a party of 5?

We liked this restaurant. It does not look like much on the outside but is cute on the inside. It's large, with two big bars, a sushi bar, and three dining rooms. We are in the smallest room with a nice round table for our group of seven. We found the hostess, bartenders and waiters all to be pleasant and accommodating. Food was decent pub food. The pizza, cooked in a wood fired oven, to be the best. Overall lots of energy here on a Saturday night. We had a fun time.

We had in trying the drinks and enjoying the sports channels. Would definitely go back. We liked the "dirty" popcorn.

My husband and I enjoyed a late lunch here this past weekend, and although we have eaten here a few times in the past, we really enjoyed our lunch that consisted of fish tacos for two, that were fantastic! and I had a juicy, well done angus burger that was cooked to perfection, while my hubby enjoyed a rueben sandwich that he really liked as well...My white sangria was a bit off in taste, but It was okay.. I think the only thing that annoyed me, was the constant asking by our waitress, " are you okay, can I get you anything"..She must have asked us that more than 10 times, during our time there, and although it goes with the job, making sure your guest are satisfied, it was a bit much..Otherwise, it was a relaxing lunch, a nice crowd too, considering right outside there was a Manayunk street food festival going on, but people continued to flow into the restaurant. Tip - try the fish tacos, they are great! Tip - ask to be seated outside (weather permitting) not much of a view but the atmosphere is good!

Lots of seating options at this Brewery with views of the river. Indoor, covered open air and outdoor options. Lots of draft options, but we did not have a chance to sample them on this visit. The menu offers quite a variety - appetizers, small shares, full meals, and pizza. We had the loaded chili nachos which were excellent. Both my wife and I had the barbecue rib dinner. The ribs were good (not quite the level of Cincinnati's Montgomery Ribs), the sauce was tasty and the side potatoes were top notch - I'd call them boiled with a deep fry crust. Our server was outstanding. Prices were reasonable.

I chose Manayunk Brewery for the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding at the end of August, 2013. I live in Chicago, and had to make all the plans for this event from a distance, working with their events coordinator over the phone and via email. It was a bit of a leap of faith, but it turned out to be a wonderful choice! The virtual tours on their website made it easy to visualize the space, and I got lots of help and advice from them on planning the menu. We chose the upper deck, an outdoor space overlooking the river. It was beautiful, really helped make the event memorable. Guests mingled easily, and a good time was had by all. The food was all quite good, there was plenty of it, and service was seamless. Best of all, it was quite affordable, and there were no surprises when it came time to pay the bill. If you need to plan an event in the Philly area, I highly recommend trying Manayunk Brewery. I can't tell you how many compliments I got from our guests on what a great party it was. And all I did was make the right choice of venue.

The buffet was thrown together. The food was dry and cold. I believe they used frozen home fries potatoes because they were dry, hard and not seasoned. The scrambled eggs looked like they might have been powdered eggs. The desserts were cheap and dry. The Brunch was not worth $24. It is a shame that my sister-in-law's brother is having his retirement party there. He will regret it.

The Brewery is my go to SPOT when I want consistent food and drinks!! I have been for Brunch, Lunch & Dinner. I go here to take folks who want an intro to drinking new beers - they offer a sampler and it help some develop a palate for different types of beer. I am a Hoppy beer person, so I liked the Dreamin'...which has been discontinued - think it has a new name now. The bartenders are also skilled at making cocktails. Now the food is also equally enjoyable. The mahogany wings are always perfection. The brunch dishes are also tasty - but be aware - Brunch get crowded - so plan ahead. So, the 4 stars are really for the Beer selection - but the food and service are about 3 stars. Solid place - So have no worries.

Sitting outside was just great. Had the ribs and they fell off the bone. The Mojito wasn't muddled. That should be bartending 101. The beer sampler was great.

Wait staff was attentive and friendly. The food was good. Had the fried chicken sandwich with side of their chips and it was tasty. Had a flight of their own brews and most of them were good. Skips the chips with the crab dip they were a bit stale. Prices were OK. The place is nice. We ate inside due to the heat outside but they do have an outdoor area along the river which was preferred but it was soooooo hot that night. There was live jazz music playing which was nice. Parking can be an issue along the street.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner on our way to a show in Camden. The town of Manayunk is very charming, but parking is expensive and difficult. Other then that, we had a good time. Food was good, restaurant was lively, and the service was great.

Was there with 5 others and met up at 6 on a weekday. A good variety of apps, sandwiches and beer with something for everyone. As the evening went on the noise increased steadily, and by the time the live band showed up it was hard to hear each other talk. A nice place to meet up with friends, though, and not stuffy at all. Burgers looked good but the Cuban was a little drier than I like it. The side of chips was not as substantial as the other sides that could be ordered. Beer variety was large.

It's such a shame, this place has so much potential. The beer is great but the food is terrible. Great location above the river but eat before you go. And if they are charging $14 for a 'pub' burger, i'd at least expect clean toilets. They obviously hve talented brewers, but they are letting them down.

It's a nice spot on the river, outdoor seating, looks like a great hangout for later in evening but we had early dinner before show at the Mann. My chicken sandwich was good, the pizza looked great.

Had a very nice time at Manayunk Brewery with family. Food was very good. Service was very good. There is an outdoor deck, shame it's only 29 degrees out. Will go back in the Spring and sit on the deck overlooking the river. Enjoyed the beer. Very reasonably priced. The brisket is excellent. There is a small parking lot and metered parking on the street.

The list of beer may not be the longest but they were good. The food was great and service was even better. The waiter was constantly filling up our water when it got low and was on point when we were ready for another round.

Apparently a new policy at Manayunk Brewery: According to the manager, the wait staff "does not handle change," meaning they don't give coins in change and just round off to the nearest dollar -- in their favor. For example, the waitress tonight rounded off a $5.50 bill to $6. So you get short changed every time unless you carry the exact change or pay with a credit card. After dining here at least a couple dozen times so far, I told the manager that I would never come back. I do not consider it appropriate (or possibly even legal) for a restaurant to decide how much change to return to a customer.

I'm generally not a beer person, but I don't mind trying a new beer from time to time. But I must say that I was definitely impressed with the beer selection at Manayunk Brewery! They really put a spin on their beers, including a chocolate peanut butter porter and a berry infused beer. I really enjoyed several of the beers on their sampler and can't wait to go back for more!

Wonderful place to eat. Had lunch with my Daughter on the way back from the Philadelphia Auto Show. Great atmosphere and great food. I had the Fish Tacos and they were great. Will stop here again.

We had a variety of sandwiches and sides. Average food, at best. Probably a good bar scene on the patios in warm weather. Maybe the drinks outweigh the food. Service also average...

Met for dinner here with a group of professional colleagues! Had their signature burger which was delicious and their summer ale! Tons of selection both for food and drink. Would totally return if in the area again.

My husband and I were in town visiting friends at the beginning of February and they took us to the Manayunk Brewery for an early dinner (we had our 18-month old with us). We were delighted by how child-friendly the place was. They had nice clean high chairs and some coloring placemats for him to color on. We gave him a little child's pizza fresh from their pizza oven, and he was happy. (There are also lots of TVs around to distract him, as well as a big industrial scale to play with). But now onto the beer! We tried a sampler of eight different beers, and tasted them from light to dark. I'm not really a beer freak, but I loved the raspberry Schukill (sp?) Punch and the Farmhouse spring beer that was new to the menu (but it was really strong = crazy!). My husband liked the Dreamin' IPA because he likes super hoppy beers. We ordered pizzas because our son's looked so good, and we were not disappointed. Our friend ordered the nachos and we made him share because they were so over the top! Our server was really pretty and nice - she even made our son laugh and took him on a lap to the scale! Overall it was a great place to go with friends and young children for a casual dinner and some great beers.

Great location with outside seating for the summer time! Great beer from their brewery available - nice range so can accommodate those with different taste. Food tends to be hit or miss. Somethings I enjoy and other things not. Got the Meatloaf and Mac & Cheese - loved the meatloaf disliked the Mac.

Visited because of trip advisor reviews. Nice part of town. Funky exposed brick and stone atmosphere in basement of building. Great mood music and prints on wall. The hickory smoked brisket sandwich was fantastic. That smokiness was perfect, the meat was plentiful and tender.. Also ordered a Kennett Square pizza which came out o the visible wood fired oven. The flavors were very good and fresh. Husband got the Nocturne beer. We all tried it and liked it. He felt that the whole glass got a little strong in taste at the end. We would love to return in the summer and sit on the deck. Service was very attentive.

Nice spot to sit riverside and relax the afternoon away. Food was pretty good and beer selection is always great. We used to go as a club at night Now older a great late afternoon lunch and drink spot.

Atmosphere and suds are great. However, believe it or not they were out of their only lager. Food is average pub grub. Service was good.

We had our first visit to the brewery when my daughter decided to attend a nearby college and had a really nice time. We thought we would be going back for many years. I made a reservation for 8 over 4 weeks ago and asked for a table in the main dining room. When we arrived they placed us outside next to a bar. After much scrambling they put us inside (the room was half empty). We ordered burgers and sandwiches and waited close to two hours!! The waitress was very nice and kept telling us they were backed up because of large groups due to parents weekend at the college, but no estimate on when or if we were going to receive food. She did bring appetizers to tide us over. We ended up leaving because the food never came. A manager never came to the table and I had to beg to speak to someone because as I was told one manager was "gone" and the other was in the kitchen. I understand it was a busy weekend but plan for it, get extra help. Really disappointing and ruined our night.

Can't say one good thing about this place bad service, wrong food was ordered by the waitress. No apology for long wait for those who did get food . All in all a BAD experience

I've been by the building a million times but I never actually knew what it was. I always assumed it was a defunct business and not open any longer. Still, we tried it for lunch yesterday and to my surprise, not only was it open, but there were also a considerable amount of people inside! The first thing I noticed was that they have a sushi chef on staff. I've never been to a brew pub that had sushi. The next thing I noticed was that they also had wood-fired pizza. I always take a restaurant with that many options as being a bad sign. Some of the best restaurants I have been to have featured only a handful of options. Having more than that can sometimes be a little overwhelming. Let's just say it was Sunday afternoon and Saturday night had been long and eventful. So, I was in the mood for a big, messy sandwich. When I saw the brisket sandwich my mind was made. I also got one of their house beers, the El Rio. The beer was great. A more complex take on mexican beers like Corona or Tecate. I would definitely get it again. Unfortunately, my sandwich was lacking. Maybe it's just me, but I want my smoked brisket to have multiple levels of flavor. Beyond the smokiness of the meat, I'd love some sort of spice from a dry rub or a sauce. This had neither. It came topped with jack cheese and a "Sriracha Slaw". The cheese was nice, but there was absolutely no spice from the slaw. I almost feel like they didn't include it when they prepared my food. Oh well, I was starving and didn't feel like complaining. The brioche bun was amazing and the sandwich together was all pretty good. Their house made chips are excellent. Very crunchy and tossed in a spice blend similar to Old Bay. Sandwiches and burgers also come with house pickles. Although I'm not a huge fan of pickles, I have to say these were great! My dad got a wood fired pizza. The serving size was quite generous and he was quite full so he passed on a piece to me. I immediately regretted my decision. The pizza was awesome! The crust was of perfect consistency and the toppings were great. He went with the po'boy and added chicken. The amount of chicken was generous and the chipolte ranch sauce was just right. I definitely want to check this place out again!

I went with my husband and a few other family members on Father’s Day for their jazz brunch. The live band was very good playing contemporary jazz tunes. The food was just OK the items that I liked most was the omelette station I ordered a vegetable omelette which was good. Also they have a Mimosa that was only four dollars which was a great deal and it was tasty. The views on the deck of this restaurant are very nice. I would definitely go here again but maybe just to have cocktails and appetizers .

Customer service is a zero. After a night out for dinner at the brew pub, we left disappointed and are sure to never return. After ordering appetizers first and entrees later and even stressed to the waitress (who was essentially non existent in a barely filled restaurant) that we wanted time between courses, all of our food appeared at once. The runner and waitress seemed befuddled and the manager came out and was belligerent, she did not apologize or ask what she can do to make it right. Instead she tells us that it is a "Very big restaurant and the kitchen has many areas" so that's why the food comes out that way. I offered that regardless of the restaurants size, the waitstaff and kitchen need to coordinate these things. she then countered with "Well you ordered the fish and chips which cooks very fast, that's why everything arrived so quickly" really....? After returning the entrees, they seemed to spite us and brought the entrees 45 minutes later when the restaurant was near empty. Oh and did we mention our friend was pregnant and we had our two year old with us? Bottom line- worst customer service experience we've had in a long time. For a nice beer selection, better food and better service in manayunk - try Craft across the street!

Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant is located on Main St in the thriving hotspot. We went on a Friday night - which I always jumping in Manayunk. the Restaurant is large and also has a River Deck so we were able to be seated within 20 minutes without reservations. The food here is very good. I had the fish n chips. The fish was nice and crispy, not soggy and it came with slaw and fries. My wife had the classic burger, which she loved. The chips are outstanding. I kept stealing hers. They have a decent beer list, which runs to seasonal beers. I was hoping for a larger selection but I enjoys trying all kinds of craft beers. There is a sushi bar and a club on the second floor which starts to jump in the later hours. All in all a very good experience. The dining area is boisterous so it's not for the people looking for a quiet meal in a cozy restaurant. We will return.

Flavorful food. Burgers were tasty and restaurant offers gluten-free buns and other selections. Sushi was as fresh tasting as I have ever had and there were great selections. We enjoyed the sangria but the beer menu is also quite impressive.

Stopped for lunch for my husbands birthday. Sat at the bar to watch the sports. I had the Ahi tuna salad which was fabulous! It was fresh and flavorful. My husband had a sandwich and the soup of the day, tomato bisque. He loved the soup which was recommended by our server, Joel. The food was fresh and the service was great. Joel was chatty and attentive but not intrusive. The menu had a nice variety of choices. Atmosphere is pretty nice too!

We were there for a College graduation Luncheon. The service and food was delicious and I was amazed at the huge variety of menu items.

Good atmosphere inside and out, very good food and desserts, wonderful craft beer and friendly service. Without question, the best restaurant in Manayunk.

My wife and I stopped to enjoy a beer or two at the patio bar. Super beer selection and beautiful evening is hard to beat at this location.

I really like this place. I've eaten here upwards of 10 times over the years when visiting my parents (including last week). So I'm usually here with senior citizens, teenagers, maybe someone else (or 2) in the middle of those....what I'm saying is, this place is one of few that works for everyone. Nice atmosphere (big, so you aren't cramped....although the bar and back deck can be crowded on Friday or Saturday nights), good menu of tasty food (better than the usual "fun food" chain places), interesting local beers, and good service. This time, five of us (all 50-plus) enjoyed a quiet dinner (it was a Monday): we got both dips as appetizers (crab with bread, spinach/artichoke with nacho chips). The entrees: chicken marsala, braised short ribs, salmon, shrimp & crab linguine, and a burger. Everything was very good. The apple cake and the chocolate raspberry torte quickly disappeared. I can tell you the Session beer (comes in a can) was an OK light lager, but the Burton copper-colored ale was quite delicious. So check this place out....whether you are in your 20s and want to see and be seen after work, or if you have a multi-generational group looking for one place that everyone will like.

Beautiful place, great bar, but everyones dinner was cold. I had heard great things about this restaurant and was so looking forward to this visit. Sit down for about 100 people. The Peach Cobbler dessert was screaming hot... go fiqure...

This is our favorite stop when in the North Philly area! They have excellent microbrews with a full service bar - you can get anything you want. The place is big, stylish and comfortable. We stopped on Sunday shortly after noon when they had their Jazz Bunch Buffet $21.95 it looked good, they had a carving station, not sure if it includes their sushi bar. We don't care for buffet style, they usually do not start serving dinner till 12:30 - 1:00 pm we were able to order from the menu. We had their Mahogany Wings, tasted like maple syrup and a soy sauce, tasty but we only got 8 small wings for $9:00 so not a good value. I had the ribs - as always, they were great, juicy, moist with great bbq flavor ($17 for half rack), but I did not like that they put them on top of my fries. My Beau had a brisket sandwich with mushroom and onion - he liked it but won't miss out on the ribs next time. Overall a favorite stop in trendy fun city. Warning it's tuff to find a parking place - but worth the effort.

Nice selection of craft beers, but you may want to have a designated driver since most of the beers are hi octane. I found the wait staff friendly and attentive. I ordered a low octane beer and one of their tasty burgers. It is well located along the Schuylkill River Trail which runs on the street right past the Brewery! Two large burgers, one 16 oz beer with tip came to about $38.00 for two people. My son and I were biking the trail and just had to stop in since I have been hearing favorably about the place for many moons. Overall, a nice place to have a brew and some grub, but not a discount affair.

We visited a week ago. Waitress was OK - I really threw her when I asked her a few questions about the beer selections. She offered to bring me a few samples - I had to flag her down 15 minutes later when no beer was brought to my table. She remembered which ones I wanted to sample & eventually brought them to the table. I wasn't fond of either, and thought that she would recommend alternatives - no such luck. By that point, I didn't have it in me to order a brew - obviously from the other posts, I just drew the short straw that night.

Always enjoy dinner at the Manayunk Brewery - great burgers and wide variety of higher-end bar eats. The beer is good and vibe is pretty cool too! Highly recommend as a must in Manayunk.

The manayunk brewery and restaurant has an impressive dining room featuring exposed stone walls along the Schuykill river. The beer is tasty and the food menu features both pub style food and more elegant entrees. I ordered short ribs which were braised in beer and served with polenta ( this is one of my ultimate comfort foods) . The big surprise was that the 'short ribs' were actually large boneless chunks of chuck steak. Yes, they were well prepared and tasted good but they were definitely not short ribs. Well you can't blame the waiter if the restaurant makes a cheap substitution on the ingedients. Stick to the pub food.

Sushi, Pizza and many other choices and all of them done reasonably well. The Sushi is first rate and the pizzas are pretty good...not great but good. It is a nice atmosphere. We went on two consecutive nights and it was about the same on both nights. The only disappointing thing was a Chicken dish with Crab that on the menu sounded awesome but was greatly underspiced.
Biking and brews
A favorite stop after a day of cycling through Philly. The outdoor bar along the Schuylkill is perfect for a few beers and lunch or dinner. We live their beers, but they have some really unique cocktails too. We have also enjoyed this spot for dinner before heDing into the city and have had several family events here. Sunday Brunch is well done and offers a wide selection.
