Went during dinner time. They were slow ( hardly anyone in the restaurant) so the food should have been good but it was NOT. It was not worth the money. Staff were friendly but the food was just not good.

V Poor service for the 8 of us. Visited last night and the food was OK but service throughout was terrible. Both times we ordered drinks the beer took 15 minutes and was flat when it arrived. The mains arrived whilst we were still eating the starters and rude staff took no notice just placed the food down, some of which was cold. We were also missing one main that arrived 10 minutes later with no apology. The server was no where to be seen throughout the meal until the check was produced.

We had a delicious lunch here! It was nice to get out of the crowded streets of Time's Square and go up to this spacious restaurant. We were pleased that the server was knowledgeable about food allergies and she was very efficient on taking our orders and keeping our drinks filled. Our food was delicious and we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.

Food Lovely . Great Cocktail Menu. Staff Very Friendly and loads of space so no waiting around for a table . Big windows so great for people watching . Worth a visit !

Had the wagyu sandwich which was absolutely not wagyu at all!! Like not even close. The margarita at margaritaville is the worst drink i have ever had in my life. It tastes like poo and seawater. How this place can even serve food and drinks amaze me.

Just average restaurant. The food was average- not anything great. Server was friendly but forgot some things- silverware, drinks we ordered. Thankfully he removed them from our bill. The Statue of Liberty was kind of cool but I was expecting more of a key west atmosphere and honestly more Jimmy Buffet music. They did play some but it was only one every several songs.

I’m not a margarita fan, more of a sangria gal. But this trip I’ve tried many and so we came to Margaritaville which was near our hotel. I thought it would be corny but have to say the food, drinks and service was very good and the views over 7th Avenue were impressive. The menu is extensive and doubt you couldn’t find something here that you’d like. Yes, it has cheeseburgers but I honed in on the ribs and the carnivore in me took over. I wasn’t disappointed. Rich, tender and served with fries. Should’ve ordered a salad to negate the meat overload. My partner ordered his cheeseburger - which had similar flavours to a Big Mac (damn that special sauce). We both had the “Perfect Margarita from Paradise” to start off the meal. If it’s your birthday here, one of the staff have a “shout out” and we all say Happy Birthday. Plus the large Statue of Liberty in the middle of the restaurant has its own little routine on the half hour. Apart from all that I found the playlist of songs so good, I was singing and grooving along in my chair. A big thank you to our waiter “May” a Dublin girl in New York, charming and very sweet. There are some kitschy items in the Margarita Store. Give it a miss. Well worth a try.

PROS: Great location if you want to be in Times Square. I was worried it would be an issue to offload the luggages due to location but the staff will help you out. You will be spoilt for choice on food - great 99cent pizza just down the road (very clean, nice pizza but it’s around 2 bucks each) The room is good enough for a New York room, but as per New York room standards, it’s hard to open up 2 luggages on the floor space. I was frankly expecting a bigger space from the reviews I read prior to booking, but it’s practical space - they have a built in ledge below the tv where you can put your cosmetics etc, and a lot of drawer space to put your staff. They definitely thought it through. Bed and pillows are comfortable. TV guide was a bit of a pain. Had the back view, wasn’t much but it’s pretty quiet despite all the noise going on outside. Very friendly, chirpy and helpful staff. Great bar upstairs with good drinks at a reasonable price. Even the welcome drink was strong and you can take it to your room if you want. Held our bags for us as we had a night flight. We hung out in the lobby area for a while. There was water and charging points for your phone. CONS: The elevators are really such a pain, so much so they have a notice about it at the front desk. I live in a building which is taller and the elevators aren’t this much of a problem. If you don’t press your floor fast enough, it doesn’t even go to your floor and you’d have to get off. I’m sure they can do something about this issue. The shower didn’t drain very well and takes some time.

I went to this hotel not knowing what to expect, you never know what you’ll get in Times Square. The room was larger than most in NYC. The hotel, room, bathroom was very clean, fresh and very comfortable. The best part was the staff. No matter where you went in the hotel they were very friendly and very helpful, they couldn’t do enough for you! I travel a lot for work and have been to many hotels. Margaritaville is one I will for sure return to!

Management is very poor at restaurant and needs to be replaced ASAP. My wife and I stayed at hotel 3/16-3/21 in NYC. Hotel is great and highly recommend but the restaurant which is ran by a different company is shady. Charged breakfast to our room on 3/17-3/18. Checked hotel charges on 3/19 and noticed several unauthorized charges on 3/17 on 3 other ticket numbers (I keep paper receipts for times like these). Confronted Manager and he didn't seem too concerned that one of his employees was stealing from a customer. Each ticket number has servers name do it would be easy to find guilty employee. What I found interesting is that the sales tax was not added to fraudulent charges as was to mine. No tax and transaction isn't reported. Seems like a little skimming off the top is going on. He finally agreed to remove fraudulent charges but didn't seem surprised. I wonder how many times this has happened before. Most people don't check their bill until they get home if at all and then it has to be done via phone instead of looking them in the eyes and seeing them squirm.

Food was lovely. A bit if a misunderstanding with the bar staff but was sorted by Carlos the customer service manger. He went above a beyond. Lovely guy. Made our night xx

On our way to a Broadway play this past Sunday, my wife and i stopped for a quick lunch before the play. Margaritaville is part of the new Margaritaville resort on 7th ave in NYC. We ordered margaritas to accompany the lava lava shrimp and fish tacos. The shrimp were lightly breaded in a Thai chili sauce with sesame seeds. The shrimp were juicy and crispy and sauced perfectly. The fish tacos were delicious as well. The fish was light and flaky and garnished with a habanero cream sauce, pico de gallo, guacamole and a side of black beans and rice. Margaritaville was a good choice for drinks and lunch pre-theatre.

I don’t usually write reviews unless something really stands out, but my experience at Margaritaville on 08/19/2024 was awful. As a native New Yorker, my friend and I decided to do something touristy and check it out. The decor was nice, but we encountered issues from the start. The host, Yessica, seemed distracted by personal matters. Despite being told there was a 40-minute wait, we noticed many open tables. We decided to wait at the bar, where the bartender was great. Surprisingly, after 20 minutes, we got a text that our table was ready. When we returned, Yessica asked if we were going to eat, which seemed odd since that was clearly our intention. We were seated in the middle of the room and noticed many open tables by the windows. We asked to move since we were celebrating a birthday, but were denied with no explanation, just a simple "no." After sitting down and looking at the prices, we instantly realized this was a tourist trap. Due to the poor service from both the host and waitstaff, we decided to leave without eating. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Margaritaville. The service was disappointing and it soured our experience.

Extremely slow service!!!! Only people in the restaurant at 4pm. Employees everywhere. I think we were invisible. Worst margarita I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a few. Way overpriced food for the quality.

I live in Manhattan so usually avoid Times Square restaurants - but sometimes before a show you have no other choice. Went here as a joke - thought it would be funny and kitschy. Which it was. But it was also very good - good food and amazing service from Landan. And where else in this city can you get a great margarita for only $13. Place was spotless and comfortable. I will be back next time I go see something on Broadway.

Visited this location at about 6 pm on a Wednesday, we were expecting so much more, we have visited many of the Magaritaville bars and always had good experiences. Not so here, the place was very cold, the server was walking around like he was in a trance, and would rather be anywhere else, the service was painfully slow considering the place was only 20% full. He kept blaming the barstaff on the slow drink service even though we could see that the bar was not busy. The food was ok but side orders were cold , had to return the fries as they were so cold that they could not be eaten, a very poor showing of a good chain. Would not reccomend this place for food, drinks maybe, bring your sweater.

Arrived promptly at the desk. Asked if we had a booking - no welcome or smile. As we waited, a guy called us over to promote the brand and offered us some promotion to do with free hotel stays, As we left him, a grumpy looking woman was waiting to take us to our table, She didn’t say a word to us and simply directed us to our table then walked away. Waitress came over, she was more pleasant, We were sat right at the bottom of the elevators next to where all the waiting staff seemed to congregate. They were the most miserable looking waiting staff I’ve seen in any restaurant. We ordered and food arrived quickly. I had the ribs which were fatty and not particularly hot. My daughter had the kids fish which wasn’t very nice. Neither meal was well presented. Waitress came to collect our plates and gestured for me to hand her my plate - strange.. I ignored the gesture as I thought it very rude. I asked for the bill. We paid and just left a $3 tip because the service was non-existent, We got up to leave and no one said anything or even acknowledged us leaving. We walked past the desk and the grumpy woman that showed us our table looked away as we walked toward her. We were really looking forward to dining here so it was a real disappointment. Worst service I’ve ever had anywhere and we will definitely never be returning.

Hotel staff was friendly and attentive. They immediately recognized my daughter in a wheelchair may need a more accessible room and offered to get us one by the second day. The room we stayed was clean and smelled fresh. The location was perfect walking distance for 90% of the activities my family attended throughout the 3 day stay, The only bad item was the elevators and the wait to use them since one was out of service. Fantastic place in a perfect location with friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Tool staff forever to Place a Drinks Order, and an eternity longer to arrive. Did not bother to Order Food as a result of Fire Drinks Service. Would not Return.

Awesome views. Understaffed. It took a long time to get a drink. The margaritas were awful. They close at midnight 😩👎🏻

we just came to the resort for the bars, but the service is as good as if we were actual guests as well. the bartender, alphonso, is passionate about serving up a drink you'll love; and tiffany, a team member, exhibits satisfactory attention to detail. we're very pleased with this visit and anticipate future visits!

Everything was all fine when we arrived, we were greeted by a member of staff, and sat down on the top floor of the restaurant. It all went downhill from there. The waitress serving us was extremely rude and ignorant. We ordered our food, and when it arrived the food was a little undercooked. I asked the waitress if I could send it back, to this she rolled her eyes and scoffed. this was extremely rude as I was asking for a simple thing to be done as I wanted my burger cooked for longer. The burger then came back but was chewy and still undercooked. So I didn’t eat the burger and only ate the fries. As I did not want to annoy the waitress a second time, afraid of what her reaction was going to be. The other people dining with our group did not receive their meals until 40 minutes after we ordered. When we received them 20 minutes after we ordered. When we had finished the waitress came and asked us to pile our plates together and scrape all of the food onto one plate. If I did this in my place of work, I would be fired. The desserts also weren’t the best. On the menu it states that the cookies were “freshly baked” when in reality they were frozen. Overall this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Will not be coming back ever.

All the servers were engaging, efficient, and helpful, especially with my gluten and dairy-free requests. Nothing like a (non) cheeseburger in paradise with one of their perfect margaritas!

Visiting New York from UK and spotted this place and as 5 o’clock somewhere is a favourite in our family thought we would visit. The Positive The server was lovely and the food was actually okay. The negative We booked a table for 7.15 on Sunday 21st. On arrival we went to the front of house desk. The member of staff looked like she had just shoved 20 toffees in her mouth as she chewed away in between telling us we had to sit down and wait 15 minutes. Chewing girl walked past us a few times without any acknowledgment so after half an hour we went and asked how long we would have to wait. The other member of staff apologised and said we should have been seated straight away and was sorry and sat us down. Food came quickly and was pretty good. Sadly not much ambiance and a bit disappointing.

Food, drinks and staff were amazing! Extremely friendly staff, especially a guy called Fintan. He made our trip very enjoyable and was extremely on the ball at all times. The food was unreal and the atmosphere made our meal extra enjoyable. We will definitely be making a visit back!!

Yummy food, great drinks. Cute restaurant with nice view of Times Square. Make reservations ahead of time if you can.

Having been to the one on Citywalk in Orlando we saw this one on the way back from sightseeing and thought we would give it a go. Staff were very friendly and service was great. Loved the lights on the statue in the restaurant. Food wasn’t the best. Much smaller in comparison to the Orlando site and not as tasty. Cocktails were good though. Would recommend this chain but maybe not this one purely as I don’t think the food was great…

We were seated right away, but waited forever and never got served. Perhaps there was some confusion, but there was plenty of staff. Anyway, we ended up walking out.

Waited 30 minutes for a table even though it wasn’t busy. Finally got seated but after another 15 minutes, with no one coming to our table, we saw people who were just seated get a server to their table. We walked out!

Yissel helped with everything communicating eith me throughout the week leading up to flying in she’s amazing I highly recommend this resort and her for all your travel needs while in the city!!

Saw maragaritaville on trip advisor and thought it would be dependable. We had ribs, salad, crab cakes and chicken fingers. All were below expectations. The restaurant was less than half full. Should have walked once we got there. On the way back to restaurants saw so many better alternatives which included arbys

Initially visited for drinks out of curiosity after passing the resort in Times Square. Enjoyed the ‘perfect’ margaritas so much that we visited again for drinks… and then again for dinner on our last night. A place that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but good and drinks very good and very reasonably priced. Fantastic to find somewhere with such a relaxed atmosphere amidst the chaos of Manhattan.

We were all disappointed in our meal. There were 6 dining and all our meals were very poorly produced, especially the club sandwich and chicken burger. We had to send the club sandwiches back to be toasted properly and the chicken did not have any taste. However, the service was absolutely fantastic - the young lady who waited on us was second to none. I will not return, but just want to praise the service.

I was able to make a reservation online the day of and got seated promptly upon arrival. Our server was fantastic at first and then it drastically went downhill from there. Our server took our drink order and brought back the coke and water then stood at the bar where we could see him for over 10 minutes waiting for a drink. We were ready to order when he brought the non alcoholic drinks, however he didn't give us a chance to tell him. We finally got to order and our food was delivered in about 15 minutes by a food runner. Our server never came back to check on us and ask how the meal was (which was delicious). We were done for 15 minutes and keep looking for him so we could get our check and leave but he was nowhere to be found. We finally got ahold of him and the process after that took a good 20 minutes. Very frustrating. Great food, HORRIBLE server!!

The food was overpriced & not too tasty my son ordered nachos it look tasted like chili from a can that was $20. We were tired & hungry passing by this place we settled then we were disappointed. Staff however was friendly. Atmosphere music pleasing. Bathrooms were gross

I didn't stay in the times square Margaritaville because it wasn't available, but we visited their rooftop bar and their cafe. The first night we went up to the rooftop bar. It was very disappointing the only non-alcohol beer they had was Bud Zero. I would think a premium location would have a premium product. My friend who did want to drink a Landshark lager was also disappointed that one of their own brands wasn't available on tap and only by bottle. It was cold up there that night and they had no propane heaters only a couple of very small electric heaters that were not nearly large enough for an area like that. I live in Florida and our bars even have propane heaters. We went the next day to the restaurant on the second floor. Went for lunch it was not busy. When my food came out it was so cold it was not edible, so I sent it back, that was after about a 40 minute wait for it. My friend ate and I decided I didn't have time to wait for something else to be prepared. I asked if I could have some coffee. They said there was no coffee, it is on the 7th floor, we don't have it here. How in the world does a restaurant not have coffee? It should be available even at the rooftop bar, and good customer service is if someone can't eat their meal you send someone up to the 7th floor to get them a cup. A very big training mistake by management. Thankfully the last night we went back to the rooftop bar and met a bartender named Jen, she was excellent and a bright point of my visit to Margaritaville. I have spent many many dollars and many hours in Margaritaville's around the country and never had a bad experience like this. Maybe I expected too much, but I don't think so. Hopefully you will get things worked out so you can remain number one in that area.

A bit unprofessional. Upper floor, we were allowed to choose a free table, we found one that was right by the window. Then someone came and asked us to vacate it because it wasn't ready for new guests. We were told to wait, but we were sent away and told to take another one in the middle (without a view). Of course we preferred to leave and found one opposite in the yard house, which was sensational.

I love the theme, the fun, the service of everything Margaritaville, but the food is never good. I've been to the one in Key West, Chicago and now NYC.

We arrived 5 minutes before our 7pm reservation. I was told there would be a 15 minute wait. After 25 minutes my Mum went to ask how much longer it would be. The host snapped at her and told us it could be 15 minutes could be longer. We were finally taken to our seats after 30 minutes. I was expecting to see a full restaurant due to the wait. However it was at least half empty. We were taken to a dirty table so had to stand why they cleaned it. Our server came, but it wasn’t service with a smile. We ordered two cocktails, a shared starter and two salads for our mains. Our starter came out and I had to ask for our drinks which we ordered 25 minutes before hand. Our main and sides were then brought out 10 minutes after our starter even though we were still eating this. We had to push the starter plate to one side to make room for the mains. Our server didn’t clear away our dirty plates from the starter. They stayed for the whole meal. I asked for clean cutlery for the main these did not come. Other tables were also given water when they were seated. I had to ask for this. Our side of chips were cold so we sent them back. They then came out after we had finished our meal. We asked for these to be taken off the bill which the server was happy with to do. Then next thing we know the bill is slapped onto the table in front of us. We were not asked if we would have liked more drinks or dessert. We ordered a chicken salad for mains. This was awful. The five dollar target salad we had the the previous day was much better! A lady was also walking around taking photos she stopped us eating to take our photos and making us pose. This was inconvenient when trying to eat. She then came around to sell them to us. We asked her to see a manager as the meal had been so bad. No manager came. As we left we found a manager and raised our concerns. We were given two complimentary cocktails each on the roof top bar. However, this does not take away from the fact this was supposed to be a birthday meal and it was awful. It was also expensive and we paid for a very poor meal. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as the service and food were awful. The company needs to look at its service and food standards. Sadly this was one of the worst meals I have had.

Note: I only went to the bar. The experience at my arrival was TERRIBLE. A very VERY rude hostess, clearly hating her job and consequently, her customers (aka ME) told that the wait was 45 minutes -- when it was, in fact, 3 minutes. The hostess is an unfortunate jobsworth. Besides that kick in the balls at the beginning, the food was good and the service itself (again, excluding the hostess') was great. But well... Not going back.

We stopped in to have dinner with our group & sat at the bar while waiting for our table. While the man behind the bar was making my drink, I simply tried to clarify with him that no pineapple juice was in the drink. He went off on me repeatedly saying, “I know what you think I am!” Short story, I told him that I didn’t even know him and that I wasn’t going to argue with him. He then left the bar area & a couple of the other bartenders came over to me & told me that he frequently does that with women. Once we got to our table, everything was great. I don’t know the bartender’s name, but he was awful!

I’ve never experienced service so bad. The restaurant host Elana was rude abrupt and unhelpful. Never had such a bad experience. She refused to get her manager. Never experienced rude and arrogance like it. Would not go back ever. Would be zero if available.

We were staying at the hotel and visited this restaurant several times for breakfast, late night snacks, and evening drinks. We had a great experience every time!! The atmosphere is a TON of fun, the Statue of Liberty has a show every hour, on the hour, and it's fun to see! The staff is incredible, fun personable, friendly! The drinks are excellent and reasonably priced and the food is very good. All-in-all, recommended!

Magnificent restaurant on Times Square. 3D interior visual of the Statue of Liberty and interactive flame. Very good meal (pasta, rice, etc.), cocktails and services. Spanish is spoken there for those who have some difficulty in English.

We were recently at Margarita Restaurant in Times Square (December 30, 2025, 8 PM). Our reservation was for 7:30 PM. The delay was significant, which we understood due to the time of year. However, our complaint begins with the hostess at the entrance, who wasn't even wearing her name tag and who we were told was named Lena. She was extremely rude and impolite. We speak little English, and she was very impatient from the moment we arrived. We acted politely, trying to understand her and using a translator to explain ourselves. After half an hour of delay, we spoke to her again, and her rude attitude persisted. She made a dismissive gesture and pushed an employee named Alma, who spoke Spanish, to talk to us. This employee, however, was very kind and respectful. Once we were seated, it took a long time for someone to attend to us. The staff seemed disorganized. They brought the drinks we had ordered, but the water didn't come, so my husband asked for water again. After 20 minutes of waiting, still no water, my husband asked again. There were three of us, and they brought only one glass of water. At that moment, a man named Michael appeared, asking if everything was alright, and we said no. He said that they had empty tables even though the waiting line was full and reservations were delayed because they didn't have enough staff. My husband explained that we had been waiting for water for a long time and snapped his fingers (in our country, snapping fingers in this context is to show that it's been a very long time). Mr. Michael was very offended by the snapping of fingers, even though we explained to him that it was just a way of showing that it had been a long time and that we hadn't snapped our fingers to order from the staff, as he was accusing us of doing. I used a translator to gently explain this to him, but he showed no interest in understanding (he saw that we were foreigners and until then we had been keeping calm to explain the whole situation to him). My husband asked to cancel the child's dish we had ordered and to bring the bill. Michael stormed off, came back, and threw a bill with a ZERO balance on the table, demanding that we leave. My husband said he wanted to pay for the drinks, but Michael, very agitated, told us to leave. At that moment we became quite upset, and my husband kept repeating: "You're wrong!" We were very embarrassed. Besides all that, the bathrooms were very dirty, without soap, without paper towels, and full of paper on the floor (I have photos). We have been in the USA for 15 days now, and in no other place we have visited have we received such poor service. Now we are sitting in a restaurant across the street with spectacular service, better prices, and an even more refined atmosphere.

The décor is cool. The service is so/so. Large menu with mostly fried offerings. There is a small pool at one bar and the rooftop is nice. 2 glasses of wine and 2 mixed drinks were over $100. It is in the heart of Times Square do there are lots of people staying there. Good for a drink before or after dinner somewhere else. Not a destination restaurant

Food is average but we didn’t expect much. Jumped in because the NYC rain was too much. You know what you’re getting when visiting & that’s ok!

My husband has been waiting 14 years to eat at one of your restaurants I finally relented. We were waiting to be served there was a couple behind us. When the server came over took the couple behind us to a table first. When he came back to us he has little to say he took us to a table threw the menus on the table and walked off. We decided if that was the start to our evening we weren’t prepared to stay. We walked out. Really disappointing as up until then the service we have had everywhere else in New York and for that matter the other four weeks we have had in the States has been fantastic. Your back of house can not compensate for your front of house you need to do better.

We just got out of there. 6-08-2022. I wish I could give the Times Square Margaritaville a zero. First of all, We were told a 15-20 minute wait. There were plenty of open tables. 15-20 minutes turned onto 30-45 minutes. Then we got seated finally. Then another 10-15 minutes before we ever saw our waiter. It was not his fault because he was attempting to serve half of the first level of the restaurant, and the second level. He finally got our drink order. Another 10 minutes pass…. We got our order put in after already being inside this place for over an hour… another 30 minutes or longer for the food. The Margaritas we ordered were garbage. They were small and mixed with very little alcohol…. The food was thrown together……Definitely not like other Margaritavilles’ . We waited and waited . Sat for another 15 minutes and no check. I had to get up and hunt my own check down to pay for a highly overpriced garbage experience. I paid my bill, Even tipped the waiter over 25%. I talked to the manager and told him we had an almost 3 hour horrible experience. All he could say was sorry. He did nothing to make it right. Then I even almost felt bad for that. Young kids, trying to run a multi millionaire dollar franchise with no clue, and no help…. Please listen… DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!! You have been warned!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. It would be better if it got shutdown.

Singularly the worst restaurant experience in years! We arrived as a school group, having pre-booked more than a year ago. We arrived on time and were left outside on 7th Ave in sub-zero temperatures in for twenty minutes. Finally, we were seated and the server asked for our food and drinks orders. One hour later, the first overcooked food arrived. One and a half hours later, more than half our group still had no food and some tables still had no drinks. At one point, teachers in our group were collecting food and bringing it to the tables. Approaching two hours, we had to leave for a Broadway show. At this point the last food came out but there was no time to eat it, which was probably for the best given that most in our group had already described the food as 'disgusting' and 'gross'. Overall, staff were unbothered and unapologetic for our experience. Our next NYC visit will not include this appalling tourist trap.

Went tonight and what awful service. Had a reservation but was told there was a 15-30 min wait as they were understaffed- fair enough so we waited at the bar. After 20mins I wondered how they would tell me table was ready - hostess with attitude said we text you. Another 20 mins and watching several tables be seated I assumed my phone wasn’t working as I’m from UK so went back to hostess, yet more attitude giving me dirty looks etc! I only wanted to know when our table would be ready hardly unreasonable! Finally seated and the waitress was lovely until hostess with attitude appeared to be pointing us out to her, waitress then wasn’t bothered, no drinks replenished, table not cleared. When our entrees arrived our table was full of our stater dishes so our group started clearing the table, a drink got knocked on me but no one offered napkins to clear it! Thanks to this attitude from hostess My daughter started having anxiety attack so I got up and asked waitress for take out boxes and bill. She never came back to take payment and the tip added to the bill was $50, we hadn’t had any service. We found another member of staff who we explained the situation and he was extremely sympathetic and apologetic even giving us a discount. He was amazing wish I had got his name. We wouldnt go back felt like they don’t like English people as Americans were receiving much better service. I know English have a reputation of not being great tippers but we aren’t like that and will happily pay for good service. Food was ok, but there are much better places in NY if you’re on vacation.

Reception unfriendly, not realizing new gods are there. 1. Floor at 30% capacity. We wait over 30 minutes in an empty restaurant for a table at the bar. Then to the table. Sticky, old food on the floor. Goodbye, sir. The small pizza within reach offers more.

My girlfriend and I came for the national tequila day pub crawl! Everyone at every bar was fantastic! I had trouble with my ticket through Eventbrite, but Stephon was a major help in getting it sorted out! I have so many positive experiences coming here. The staff is always top-notch and accommodating. Whether it’s coming for a stay, dinner, or just drinks, my experiences have been excellent!

The food is very American, very greasy and large quantities, it was impossible to finish it. The taste was not bad but certainly not recommended, a waste of money. Every half hour the Statue of Liberty goes crazy with loud music and an intense light show to kind of advertise the hotel, we were scared to death!! As icing on the cake, the waiter came to claim their tip... Very bizarre! We had given a tip of 10, but no, that was not enough, we could only choose from 15, 25 or 25 percent of the total amount, WTFF! “That's how it goes in New York” is what he said. So we weren't allowed to leave until we had paid the extra 15 percent. Terrible, I will never be willing to do this again.

Waited 45 minutes passed our reservation time, restaurant was more than 1/2 empty. Drinks took 45 minutes yo arrive at the table on a very slow night...we requested a second round that never came at all. The first three entrees I tried to order the waitress told me were terrible and not to order. The restaurant is not themed like other margaritaville properties at all it is very generic....don't bother coming.....

Great food and great staff. Niko is the best waiter ever. I do feel bad for them as they have two servers so the service was slow but it's not in them. But they make up for it with service and great attitude.

Excellent Jimmy Buffet-themed restaurant. The breakfast portions were plentiful and flavorful. Our server, Karen, was the best! Very personable and made you feel at home! Enjoyed the hourly musical shows that played during the course of the meal.

If you think you are going to be listening to the great Jimmy Buffet whilst eating your meal, think again! This restaurant is over priced and the food is basic. I had a watery beer, chips , green salad and I shared with two others a portion of nachos. The bill was $35. I can’t recommend this restaurant at all.

So many great options for food in NYC, unfortunately this one falls short. While staying at the resort, we dined at this restaurant and regretted it. The restaurant crew appeared under staffed and poorly trained, a death sentence for a service industry. We were seated and ignored for 20 minutes. Upon ordering, there was another 40 minute delay until food arrived. We ordered drinks in the meantime. The margarita glass was small and over half of the glass had ice. This was a disappointment at this price point. The food was not much better. The chicken salad I ordered had wilted lettuce and the chicken was so dry it was essentially a jerky. The wait staff only checked on us after seating and to give us the check. I did get her attention and relayed my issue with the salad. Her response was “I’m sorry”, no offer of correcting the problem was given. The dessert was delivered by another staff member who just tossed the plate onto the table. I am not picky nor a fussy person, but I was shocked. The restaurant was less than half full so I am puzzled as to why the service and food was subpar especially given the reviews. The next day out of convenience we tried to just get appetizers at the sister restaurant Landshark -as we were in a hurry. We waited 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us. So we went across the street to the Yardhouse and was met with a super friendly and efficient server. He had the best recommendations and the food was very good. Go there instead af the resort restaurants. You will feel as if they want your patronage.

Don't do it! Overpriced, terrible service, cold food, plastic cups. Plenty of other options elsewhere. Don't do it!!!

The shrimp skewers/chicken with rice was my favorite. But have to say the Ranch Burger and sweet potato fries were really good too. And bonus they have fried pickles they way I like them.... tried many things and all were great! Would recommend!

The food is disgusting. How could anyone come to NYC with all the great restaurant and eat this garbage. Greasy and hard to find something that won’t give you a heart attach.

I would not recommend dining at the Margaritaville Hotel. Our party of four waited over 1-1/2 hours after we were seated to receive our food. Free chips and guacamole did not compensate for the delay. We brought it to the attention of the shift leader and manager but all we heard were excuses. When we finally got our food, one of the orders was missing an item: the au jus for the French dip sandwich! Really!?! We were disappointed with the service, high prices and cannot recommend dining at the "resort"

We arrived after flying in and the place is loud, it took forever to get drinks, and about an hour to get dinner, the server forgot to put the order in. The food is not great and the server kept having to go back and get clean wine glasses. Then they smelled like bleach

The decor is good but that's all. Very expensive for ordinary food. Starter on average 20us and meals 40us. Average service not very accommodating, the person was quite stupid, we asked for a table near the window (the restaurant was almost empty) she refused us. Other person one change table without asking to go on the window edge and the correct cetais. Beverage are not fantastic

Horrible food, drinks, and atmosphere! We had a great view of the street in Times Square but expected it to be more lively. Expected more from this brand 😔

We went to Margaritaville on our last night in New York! The decor is fun and cool! The Liberty Statue caught our eye outside and made us want to go in! We had a meal to start with. I had ribs and the portion sizes were huge but the quality was really great too! Then I managed to squeeze down a cheesecake which was delightful! We stayed for a few drinks too which were really refreshing! Staff were very friendly and very fast service! Thank you!

This by far was one of the best experience of my trip. Getting to dine and eat in the middle of time square and have the fun vibe of Margaritaville was awesome. The food was awesome, i had the steampot in landshark, and got the ribs in Margaritaville the next day it was sooooo yummy. My daughters birthday and the chef came and brought her a personalize sliced of key lime pie! WE LOVE THIS PLACE

A nice place, touristy for sure, but we wanted to try it having seen the queue outside several times. A very kind waitress welcomes us. The sore point is the food which for an Italian is considered indecency. Certainly eating well, as an Italian means it, is difficult in New York. But this borders on disgust.

We stayed at this hotel for our latest trip to NYC, July 2024. Although our room was nice and clean, the cleaning people were the best part of this trip, really great in fact...the room had a refrigerator, coffee maker and the view, ahhh the view, it was a wall. lol! And we had a Premier room too. The shower was weird, the design of it is ok, but it doesn't have a door, it's a glass 'wall' partition, that's it. Water gets everywhere in the bathroom, and you have to be really careful when you get out. We started putting towels on the floor and got over it. We had dinner at one of the restaurants one night, service there was not good, they also got our order wrong, and we were one of two families in the restaurant. We also had a coupon for two margaritas and truffle fries, and we were still charged for part of the meal, they took off $25. Nothing is free, I guess. On top of that, the staff was extremely rude that day. To the point that we were unconformable and didn't even want to go back to that part of the hotel again. The worst part of the hotel were the elevators, they were ridiculous. We waited on them constantly. For a long, long time! Once, it was about 20 minutes and there was a line of people in the same boat. Not good. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for location only. It's close to everything. You can stay at a lot of hotels in the city that have great views, you'll find better service too. You may not find one with a pool, but good luck getting into their pool anyway. :)

Booked table months ago and flew in for birthday as I'd enjoyed restaurant in both Pigeon Forge and Nashville. So disappointed. Waited 25 mins for our booked reservation with no apology and rude staff. Eventually seated. Dirty table. No water offered . Chased our drinks. Starter not cleared when main arrived. Fries cold and returned. Not received until we had finished. Starter not cleared away and no cutlery given. We took from another table. Server didn't ask if we'd finished but slapped bill in front of us. Unable to order desserts.I asked to see manager but didn't see anyone. We paid a lot for a poor meal and eventually complained . We were given a free cocktail at the rooftop which was lovely but I would not recommend unless the service and quality improves. Such a disappointment. Salad in particular was very poor and had a better boxed salad at target. Such a shame for what in the past has been such a great experience.

Shocking service. Waited an hour and a half for food. Explained at the beginning of the visit we had to leave for a theatre show. Group of 46 and pre booked. Absolutely shocking as several had to leave without eating.

So after reading some not so favorable reviews we decided to give it a try. Only 2 of us the order was not complicated. Chicken tenders and fries and a burger with a side salad. Chicken comes out but the burger was not the one I ordered. Sent it back….20 mins later no burger. Asked about it and it was on its way out. The restaurant was less than 1/2 full. 10 more mins no burger. Told the waiter to forget it but he insisted it was on its way out. The burger comes and still wrong…. The manager comes to the table and I tell him we are all set, he offers to comp us a drink for our troubles. 15 mins goes by and yup you guessed it, no drink. I flag over the waiter and tell him we are all set having been there for over 1 and 1/2 hrs. He asks me well aren’t you going to pay the bill? I tell him if you give it to me I’ll pay ( thinking I should not have to since we only got less than 1/ 2 of what we ordered) but hey it NYC and we’ll just a word of advise, stay far away from this place. Not anything like otherMargaritavilles. Poor service and management. Maybe why there we so few people there on a weekend. Many other place in the area so go somewhere else.

This restaurant was very good. Perfect location on Times Square. Attentive staff and fast service. Food was gorgeous and great selection of food and drink. We were a group of 7 and got vip treatment in the cosy corner in the statue in the centre of the restaurant.

The restaurant is huge but tried the lunch and not good ..rooftop bar look’s interesting but was closed due to staffing issues

The only good part of this restaurant is the atmosphere. The service and the food was horrible. Our waiter appeared 4 times. Once to take our drink order, once to take our food order, once when we had to flag him down to get a refill on a few drinks and once when we had to flag him down for our check. The issue with the overcooked food isn’t the waiters fault. Be aware as well, when paying your bill a tip is already included. We had three separate checks and even the two checks with one person’s order had the added tip automatically included.

We were greeted by friendly staff and the overall atmosphere appeared very fun - which it was! Delicious food and cocktails. Best burger I've ever had at a restaurant! Only issue was a member of staff stopped by our table and popped dirty plates, cups and cutlery from another table onto ours and it was left for quite some time.. we had to ask staff twice to remove it.

So glad we popped in here. The statue of liberty vibe inside was great. Food was lovely and staff were so friendly. We were lucky and managed to get in without reserving a table, but if you can I would recommend reserving a table as it can get busy.

The ambience of the restaurant is great. We had an awesome table in the shape of the Statue of Liberty and very private. The service was really good but the steak was unfortunately very disappointing. It was cooked medium but very chewy.

If you are thinking about a trip to NYC and want to experience the best hospitality around look no further then Margaritaville NYC. The registration desk sports two young chaps, Clay & Adhi, that provided awesome service. Our 14th floor room was kept tidy by an awesome, eyelash flashing, gem. She was so accommodating of our needs. When our prearranged transportation let us down Miguel, Fabio and crew found us a ride and we made our flight!! They were always at the door to greet us and help us navigate NYC!!! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else!!

We often dine while on holiday at this franchise. We love the food and we know we will not be disappointed. Our waitress (Irish girl) was friendly and attentive. Our only complaint was the staff who met us at the door. One in particular was very unfriendly and when she took us to our table and I asked to be moved due to a spill under the table that made my shoes stick to the floor (not by us) she appeared very irritated . Owning a business that relies on great service and referrals, I understand that who we hire is who represents us. I felt I needed to post this because I’m sure the owners would not want this person to represent who they are. Ps, a smile goes a long way. I will continue to dine at these restaurants as I’m sure this was a one off.

Stopped in for a a quick lunch on a hot day, in memory of Jimmy Buffet. Was pleasantly surprised. The chicken quesadilla was as good as any I’ve had. The restaurant was laid back fun, spacious and with a great view of the streets around Time Square. Nice respite from the noisy hustle and bustle of the city below.

Came here after a show and ordered the perfect margarita. It had half a rim of salt and was the color of apple juice. It was not perfect and for 13 dollars was more than a disappointment. We got seated right away and ordered appetizers. They were mostly fried but good. Honestly, I couldn’t believe that the waiter even put the drink on the table. Bar rescue needs to stop by!

Visited NY with my daughter & every time we visit a Jimmy Buffets she has the nacho volcano, that’s what we went in there for to share & have a few beers.. we hung about waiting to be seated, staff everywhere empty resturant. Finally seated by an unfriendly host. Sat down waited ages for our server to come over, all the staff apart from one really looked like they didn’t want to be there, walking slow like they was so unhappy in their job! We waited 1/2 hr for our drinks, grabbing any server that walked by and told I’ll grab your server !! My drink sat on the bar ages while staff hung about chatting. Nachos arrived & they were the worse ones ever, soggy & hardly any topping. No one came over to see if everything was ok. People were coming in and walking out. We finally got our bill after asking twice & left cash only for what we ate / drank, no tip! They didn’t deserve a cent! The worse one ever visited.

We went on a family trip and visited the Margaritaville restaurant on night one. Bad We had a reservation but still had to wait. The wait staff was slow and unattentive. The menu was boring. Good The decor was cool. The food was good.

It was such an amazing experience! The people, the food, the place itself were the best! I’m not giving a 5 star review because we had to wait for a table even though we saw that many tables were free, at least the bar is open, you don’t have to stand still and wait like a dog. Inside, there was an amazing massive Statue Of Liberty, that statue had a little music show, something to see and get to experience!

We came here to celebrate my mother’s birthday, but also wanted something kid friendly and a fun place. This was a great choice and everyone enjoyed their meal. Sitting by the Statue of Liberty as it lit up and music played was an extra bonus. My 7yr old niece loved it and the we enjoyed the views of Times Square. Our waitress made some great recommendations and was very helpful. They took a group picture of us and gave it to us for free with the option to buy other photos. That was perfect because we wanted a group picture. Cute place and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable.

Margaritaville is a restaurant you can definitely see stand out in New York City. With the lady of liberty standing within, it was an interesting concoction of city and oasis as the tropical theme shone through in the decor whilst located in the big apple. The atmosphere was great with the music interesting to say the least, food was great too and the service was for sure nothing to complain about. Really enjoyed our meal here and surprised by some of the reviews as our experience was not negative to say the least.

Brilliant atmosphere throughout our meal, we were located by the window next to the Statue of Liberty! Highly recommend the teriyaki chicken and shrill especially if you are craving some vegetables with your meal! Light meal and very delicious! Once you’ve finished your meal, head up to the rooftop bar for some cocktails whilst looking out at the impressive sky scrappers

My grandson and I went here on 9/7 for breakfast prior to sight seeing. Larry from Alabama was our server. So personable. So kind. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. They were so good. Just perfection. Grandson had a plate with eggs, pancakes, potatoes and breakfast meats. He didn't eat the meats, he's vegetarian, but he ate everything else!!! So tasty. Wonderful service.

Simple great food, fast service, kind and helpful staff. Make reservations and enjoy the experience.

Margaritaville NYC was a great experience, customer service exceeded my expectations. We were greeted with a smile by all staff but one team member especially stood out. Kristen Cuadrado was very informative and helpful. She made sure we were taken care of and is a true definition of A1. She was funny, very personable, and seemed to be well seasoned in hospitality. She is one of the live gems at Margaritaville NYC! Additionally, hotel rooms very modern, clean, with great views. Beautiful decor and plenty of scenic areas indoors for relaxing. You truly feel like you are not in the middle of the concrete jungle, but how amazing it is to be in the middle of the concrete jungle! I highly recommend!

Great place for a drink and food. The hourly (?) music/visual display on the Statue of Liberty with a cocktail glass is great fun - the nachos are excellent. The Blender drinks promotion is a bit confusing and even our server couldn’t explain it well.

After visiting Margaritaville numerous times before @universal city walk, we were super excited to see it in Times Square. We made our reservation for 8pm, wasn’t busy when walked in and the guy on the desk asked us to wait by the bar. After 15 minutes I quizzed the hostess saying I have a reservation, and she snapped at us saying she had called us twice and text me, well we were right in front of the desk and no one had called us, she said we must have the wrong mobile, well it was the one I got the confirmation of booking on, so it was off to a rude start. Well our first drink came promptly but the waitress disappeared for around half an hour when we wanted a drink, was getting a little tedious. Now my memories of the food, the last one being in august 22 were the portions were plentiful and very tasty. I had the Jambalaya, it was terrible, rice over cooked, watery with zero seasoning, a couple of prawns, one piece of sausage and what looked like process chicken, absolutely terrible for the premium price. My wife had the steak sandwich which she said was good. We didn’t bother with desserts as the staff couldn’t be found, and not one person asked us if our food was ok or did we enjoy it. Will I be back, yes to Orlando, sadly not to Times Square. It all looks good but sadly the service and poor quality food let it down.

At first, we were greeted well by a nice lady who even asked us where we were visiting from. The restaurant is overall enjoyable with background music and a nice view. However as soon as we sat down the experience went from great to no so great, the waiter that was serving us was not nice at all, forgot some of our drinks and couldnt even give out the plates, simply left them at the edge of the table. After came the nachos, tasted good, however when the main dishes came the experience turned disastrous. There was hand sanitizer inside the ribs (check out the attached pictures). We immediately requested a replacement dish which came after a while and there was somehow still a fragment of the packaging on the edge of the ribs. The bare minimum they could have done would have been an apology and not charging for this ribs. Not an experience to repeat. Not recommended at all.

We saw news about the new Margaritaville Resort in Times Square, so decided to try the Margaritaville restaurant late this afternoon. We were seated on a table right next to a big Statue of Liberty, holding a Margarita glass (part of hourly light show). The ambience inside was very nice, tropical setting. The waitress was excellent, very friendly, and making sure we had a great time and well looked after. We ordered the frozen drinks "Don't stop the Carnival" and "Havanas and Bananas" ($12 each). Both were nice. For meals, we had "Chrispy Whole Snapper" ($33.50) and "Ribs Full Diner" ($29.99). They were nice too (see photos). Every hour, they had a light show with the "Margaritaville Song" lasting a few minutes. There's a lightning display on the Margarita glass in the ceiling. This is a cool place to bring overseas visitors and friends for an interesting experience. It is a great addition to NY, and worth a visit.

My husband and I have always been great fans of Jimmy Buffet and the Margaritaville restaurants. We try and visit one on every vacation, Hawaii, Las Vegas (sad it is closing soon), etc. While in New York last week, we made the special trip to visit Margaritaville off of Times Square, my husband even wore his Margaritaville Hawaiian shirt! As we arrived, we were told to head to the 3rd floor for Happy Hour. We sat for 30 minutes without even being acknowledged, although staff and what seemed to be management walked by numerous times. We left very frustrated and decided to try the roof-top-bar. Staff directed us and two other couples to an elevator down the hall to get to the roof-top-bar. We stood in the elevator watching the doors continually open and close. We returned to front to ask staff if there was problem with the elevator, only to be told to gain access to the roof-top-bar, a staff member must first scan into the elevator. Why would they not do this first when they knew where we were going and directed us that way? One couple simple left, and my biggest regret in life is that we did not follow! Our dilemma did not end there, it only continued. After 1 hour (again no service, and little staff, we needed to go to the bar ourselves, but I will not dwell on this issue), we decided to return to the second floor for dinner. The restaurant was 90% empty, as it was only 5pm, but we were told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table and that we should sit at the bar. Staff asked for our cell phone number and would text in 20 minutes to advise that our table was ready. We sat in an empty restaurant waiting for a table, watching a ton of staff walk around bored. To make matters worse, while we waited at the bar, we received NO service. Again staff walking around but no one acknowledged us or offered to take our drink orders. After 30 minutes, very very disappointed we left. We walked directly across the street to Yard House….were seated immediately and had one of the best meals of our lives and the staff was amazing! After one hour, I contact Margaritaville to inquire when our table would be ready, as their 20 minutes had long passed. I received a text back, 30 minutes later, stating that if we did not arrive within 6 minutes our table would be given away. We have never experienced such poor service ever at a Margaritaville, and although big fans, we have vowed to never return again. A truly sad story with no happy ending. Shame on you Margaritaville in New York!

I should have guessed! This was our first visit to a Margaritaville Restaurant. Our food was mediocre at best. The ambience is that of crass commercialism! I was naive to have imagined otherwise. I am sure it has a legion of loyal followers but if you are looking for good food in an atmosphere where you can enjoy the company of your companion(s), this is not it! Date of stay: September 2022

As with most places in Manhattan, prices are inflated but more of an annoyance when the food doesn't live up to expectations. Nice setting overall but food really disappointing. Better to go to alternate restaurants rather than these chains

We are big fans of the Margaritaville chain and have eaten at many. Rarely does it disappoint... but this was a bad experience. We made our dinner reservation a couple weeks in advance. When we arrived before our reservation time we noticed over half the tables were empty. We were told we were "checked in" but had to wait for a table. 30 minutes went by. Then a few parties off the street with no reservation were seated ahead of us. When we asked how much longer it would be and why others with no reservation were seated ahead of us while we waited 30 extra minutes, staff seemed confused. Two had a small debate over if the three of us could be seated and, if so, where we could be seated. When we were finally ready to walk out they said they would seat us. Our waiter was actually very nice and attentive. It took a long time for my wife to get her drink (a cosmo) but he apologized saying nobody could find the ingredients for it at first. The food was just okay. Not nearly as good as we have had at other Margaritaville restaurants. Overall it just seemed to be very poorly run and quite disorganized. As much as we love Margaritaville, it was easy for the three of us to agree we'd never come back to this location again. There are just too many other good, well operated dining options in the area to worry about a stressful experience like this.

We just returned from our trip to NYC this was a very special trip since we were celebrating our birthdays. We had originally booked to stay at the hotel and was canceled two days before our trip but that is another review. So we still wanted to eat since that was our original plan. We arrived and was seated pretty quickly and over looking Times square. The food arrived quickly and was good. We ordered drinks , Margarita's and they were good also. The staff was friendly but to be expected it was very tourist driven. We were asked get our pic in front of the Statue of Liberty and then they attempted to sell us the pics but one of them was free. We enjoyed our first night's dinner but probably would not return since there are so many other places to eat in NYC. The ambiance was centered around NYC but seemed over the top.

Never been to one before so it was a new experience. We enjoyed it very much . Staff were great, cocktails even better . Food was good . A great evening out

Stopped by to get a margarita on the way to times square. I sat at the bar and the service was great, and the margarita even better. Give it a try

Food is horrible and the service is terrible. First and Last time eating in this establishment. I’m sure it’s the view that attracts people to this location but please try something else don’t waste your money. We went for my daughter’s birthday and she enjoyed her time in the city. We ate pizza after leaving this restaurant the food was so bad.

the food is okay, but honestly, the drinks are good, and you can go to the other bars as you go up on the floors is different bars so you get to try all of them

Bad experience and total negligence on the part of terrible employees! We were simply treated like trash because we were Brazilian and didn't have a NY phone number. After waiting in a corner where we were guided by the attendant, we simply gave up due to the lack of empathy and left. I do not intend to ever return to this establishment. Waste for me🤮
To have a drink but no more
The restaurant is located in the hotel, I can't speak about the hotel but for the restaurant, it is very average. The food is not very good. The setting is nice for a drink but I don't recommend eating there, it's expensive and not good quality
