We booked this after seeing the reviews online however our experience overall wasn’t great. The dinner is a set menu, bread, salad and steak for $35. Firstly we never receive the bread part of the meal. Salad was super basic the dressing was basically just mustard. When it came to the main you are suppose to receive 2 servings. We received the first serving, the waiter wrote down on our table as we waited for our second portion the waiter went to take the plates away. As I advised we had only received one portion the waiter said “2” has been written on our table cover. The waiter and what I can presume the manager both tho right we were lying about only receiving one portion. I have never been made to feel so belittled in my life why would someone lie about that?? The second portion was completely rushed the steak we ordered as medium came out as rare we couldn’t be bothered to send this back as the whole attitude of the servers had changed. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be going back again service was awful and food even worse.

We went last Saturday during brunch but we both got the normal garden salad,steak frites & choc cake/key lime desserts. THe salad was SOOOOO good & the steak frites/fries were great too. If I had to give one critical thing it was that the choc cake was a bit dry but still good VERY rich & choclatey. My husband loved his key lime pie. We will totally go back here! The butter w/ the bread is great too. You cannot go wrong here.

10/10! I could not recommend this place any more. Amazing meal.. book in advance to save disappointment!! The steak is so good the staff are so nice and welcoming.

Steak house really exceptional! We spent xirca $ 35 per person but with : plate of fresh salad accompanied by bread (to be requested bis for goodness) , water in jug without limits , excellent cooked meat dish with side of fresh fries.At the end they return with an encore (which I later discover) included in the price.To be done again absolutely soon.

Found this restaurant on social media and when we arrived it was rammed! Understandably it was a Saturday night and valentines weekend in the city so expected a bit of a wait. We walked in and couldn’t move- there wasn’t much waiting area and some people were stood outside in the rain. I ended up going on the website and booking a table so we went for a drink somewhere else and came back. Our table was reserved for 21:45 but didn’t get seated until 22:20 due it being so busy, so I would recommend booking a table and expect a wait. The lady at the reception desk was very calm and didn’t flap or anything knowing it was so busy so kudos to her! Once we sat down we were seen to straight away and very much looked after by our waiter. It’s a 3 course set menu of bread, salad then the steak and chips. You can get a dessert but that’s not included in the set menu. The steak and chips were absolutely delicious and of course we were so hungry at this point so it went down a treat. The steak was cooked to how you like it and the secret sauce was also so good! You then get a second serving of steak and chips which I’ve never been to anything like that before. What a great restaurant. I would 100% recommend this and would also visit again if we go back to NYC.

My niece recommended Medium Rare to us and I’m so glad she did! Great experience, atmosphere, with amazing food and service. Love the concept!

After seeing numerous reels on Instagram, once in New York, after the various Ford fast food restaurants, I decided to try this meat restaurant and I must say that I would go back without hesitation. Friendly local and very courteous and helpful waitstaff. Their only dish is meat and the formula is based on a plate of salad well seasoned, warm bread with butter and a mini cut with cooking sauce... all accompanied by fresh chips with peel made by them.... when you finish the dish and you are about to get sad... comes the surprise... the second round is free. Asked for the bill, everything as scheduled... comes the second surprise.... they give you a big babol style chewing gum with message inside.

Food was very good, service was brilliant. One menu perfect for indecisive! Salad - dressing outstanding Main - sauce Devine Dessert - Give the Key Lime Pie a try white chocolate biscuit topping brings the zest. Chocolate Cake also good (I shared)

Booked this restaurant after seeing on social media and it did not disappoint! Bread, salad and 2 servings of steak, fries and the most delicious sauce for 35 dollars each. Great value for good food in the city! Service was very good, staff really friendly and have already recommended restaurant to friends who are visiting NY in a few months!

Came for dinner with family. Food was exceptional and service very good. The restaurant is very clean and has a really good atmosphere. Will definitely return

A wonderful concept place…just bread, salad, steak and fries. It was a hit when 8 of us dined on a Saturday night. The quality and tastes were great and seconds were available….even for steak. The steak was served sliced and cooked exactly to the temperature requested. There were dessert choices but we were too full. With wine the bill was $60 per person. Great for NYCSeating was not too tight. It was full, there was a line when we left. The restroom was good.

After being on time and being asked to wait for a further 20mins then to be left in the cold outside waiting to be seated it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in a NYC restaurant… then to be seated and waiting another 35mins for any actual food the portion size was not overly big seen as it’s unlimited steak the steak was sliced so thin it was not the best steak it was just not what it was cracked up to be.

A few days later and I'm still salivating about the complete deliciousness of dinner at Medium Rare!! Perfectly cooked steak that melts in your mouth, just right fries and a sauce that brings everything together brilliantly - a salad (to make you feel better about the amount of meat and potato) and just to really pay homage to the carb... some gorgeous warm bread. This is one of the nicest restaurants I've been to in years - if the really well priced food wasn't enough, it has a buzzing atmosphere, super nice staff - oh and if all of that isn't enough - pretty fantastic hibiscus margarita's!! In a city where food is definitely not cheap - Medium Rare is priced really well - and if you have room (we did - we really couldn't refuse... to delicious) there are seconds offered. Its a must to go to... run there... (run back home too... it'll help)

We had dinner in this cute place, reservation required. Impeccable Service with excellent and kind waiters. Excellent meat, served with home made chips and well seasoned salad. They come to ask you for an encore and the cost is really good.

Booked this restaurant well in advance for 2 people for 8:30pm , arrived at 8:35 and was told there would be a 20 minutes wait for our reserved table , after 20 minutes there was still no table ready for us as the host had clearly over booked this night , there were numerous amounts of others waiting like us for their reserved tables , after an hour of waiting we finally got our reserved table , the service is terrible , no structure at all to the hosting ! I was excited to try this restaurant as I had heard many great things about it but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations at all ! Terrible service . Don’t come here unless you want to wait an hour or more for your reserved table

After seeing this place all over tiktok I knew on my visit to New York I had to try! I went with my 13 year old daughter and it was her favourite meal our full trip! We are returning next year with my sister and it’ll be one of the places we 100% book. Staff are friendly. Food tastes sooo good. And price is very good value. First comes a salad and some lovely warm bread. (Delicious and not sweet like normal American bread) then a plate of chips, steak cooked to your liking and a lovely sauce (couldn’t work out what the sauce was but was perfect with the steak) once finished they bring another full helping over. We couldn’t manage a second plate however they offered to put it in a take away container. It would have been wasted so didn’t take them up on the offer but appreciated the gesture! 100% recommend

We booked here after seeing many similar steak frites style restaurants on TikTok. We have a fussy eater in the family and liked the idea of h being served one thing! I’ll be honest, given the price and the concept, I expected less quality, however I couldn’t have been more wrong. Our server Brendan was so friendly and helpful; he chatted away and found common ground over our love of travelling. The bread was crispy and warm, the salad was cold and fresh and crisp, the steak was melt in your mouth, the fries crispy and the sauce was delicious …even our fussy eater loved the sauce, she’s usually very suspicious of new things. The kids spotted the incredible looking hot fudge sundae so we had to have it! We were tempted by the key lime pie but were hilariously advised against it. The sundae did not disappoint. All washed down with crispy diet cokes, we were happy eaters and left completely stuffed. Such a great concept and excellent value for money! Will be back on our next trip ❤️

In Italy they wouldn't survive, but in NYC, as TikToker Ludovico Margio says, they "turn" your dinner! You just have to indicate the cooking of the meat, the menu is unique: salad, good warm bread with butter dough, meat with tasty sauce and chips. Glass water (tap water). When you are done, we leave for the 2nd round, with the meat and chips (but if you want to enjoy the dessert at a cost of $12 watch out for what you eat before 😉). Soft environment with soft lighting. Price x $2 86 (without dessert and tips excluded). Try it!

This is an amazing restaurant it’s the best steak I have had in a long time and the sauce is to die for. Great value for bread salad and 2 rounds of steak and fries. Really good vibes also. Def one of the highlights in NYC.

This restaurant is so much fun, we was a very large party of 33 people and the service was great we was well looked after with drinks flowing all night and the steak just kept coming a real must visit if your in town, save some room for dessert they are not on small side lol

Saw a few tiktoks about this place that got me curious, so decided to book for our first night in NYC. The service was excellent, Megan our server was lovely, attentive, friendly, great service from her. It’s a very simple menu, which after travelling from the UK earlier that day suited us all as the only decision you make is how you want your steak cooked. Love the simplicity of the set menu, which is all DELICIOUS, the bread, salad, chips and tender juicy strip steak, and the special sauce. It’s a really busy, buzzy atmosphere, lovely staff and great vibe, perfect for a Friday night meal with teens.

Great service and even greater food, very speedy service with a great customer service, me and my partners steak was cooked exactly to specifications and the sauce they give you with the steak is delicious, would highly recommend this restaurant and also you 2 servings of steak and fries what’s not to like

We loved it. Had really great time, especially because of the staff! Everyone was so nice. The food was really good, nice steak and fries. You get 2 rounds! Really really good!

Me and my partner booked a reservation for 20:45. We got to the restaurant on time and was told it would be an hour and 15 minute wait. It’s disgusting considering how hard it is to book a table in New York, we wait all day looking forward to a nice meal to finish our holiday, to then be looking around for someone available to eat at 21:00. I strongly would not recommend this restaurant, save yourselves the heart ache.

Set menu the only flaw of this very warm and welcoming place. Great meat and quick service. Luckily they bring the encore😅

After seeing this restaurant on my Instagram feed, I was compelled to give it a try on my recent trip with my daughter. What can I say….. Wow! The bread was warm and crusty and absolutely delicious. The salad, though basically just leaves and tomatoes, was enhanced with an extremely tasty vinaigrette dressing and was extremely moreish. But the steak and chips….. nothing short of perfection. I ordered medium and my daughter ordered medium well and both arrived as requested. The fries were thin and crispy and perfectly seasoned to complement the melt in the mouth steak. The secret sauce finished off the dish to perfection. The best bit, is that once you’ve finished your first serving - a second serving follows shortly after. I’m still dreaming of the taste 😋 We made two visits to this restaurant as we enjoyed it so much. Both times were walk ins between 5-6pm and we were seated and served straight away. You cannot beat steak and chips (fries) and this restaurant does not disappoint on either.
