My wife and I have dined here quite a few time since we stay at the Hotel 414 one block over. For dinner, we started with their meat and cheese plate appetizer and some red sangria - very tasty. We then moved on to try different tapas, including the shrimp with garlic, squid, portobello mushrooms, beef empanadas, and Spanish meatballs - everything came out hot and delicious. Service is good here and you can sit at their little bar and enjoy things there as well. It's worth a try if you've never stopped in here.

Meson Sevilla is good to be sure, but it is quite small and the tables are close together. Pre-theater you can barely move in there. The food was very good, but not great. It seems to have lost some of its luster since the first time we were there.

Have dined in meson Sevilla more than 100 times in last 20 years. Great food, pricing and service. Had dinner there tonight 2/24/16. One of my favorite restaurants in world. Steve McEvoy West Chester, PA

We went for a pre-theater dinner. Reserved well in advance but still had to wait quite a bit and service was VERY slow. They don't seem to hold up under the pressure. Food was mediocre. In short - nothing to write home about

We stumbled upon this adorably charming bistro and ended up with an incredibly tasty and fulfilling meal. The flavors were unique and the portions large.. Great place when no one is agreeing on where to go or what type of cuisine. Everyone will be happy

Selected this restaurant from the internet on a recent business trip having not had Spanish food in a while. It was surprisingly good and not very expensive. My wife had lobster in green sauce (mid $20s); it was very good, above average. Another in out party had paella which I didn't taste but was rated "good" ($18 range). I had chicken Limon which I thought was very good. Sure, there must be really gourmet restaurants that are outstanding, but this was certainly above average. Total bill with appetizers and drinks was under$145 for 3 people before tip, not bad for mid-town Manhattan. Located in the theatre district near Times Square. It will definitely be on my go-to list.

This was our first time eating here after seeing a show. We were originally gonna eat somewhere else, but liked the menu and made a quick reservation on Opentable. They sat us right away. We had about 3 different waiters serve us throughout the night which was nice. I got the shrimp, mussels, calamari and clams in a light tomato sauce with angel hair pasta. It was delicious and light. We also got the pork chop and the lamb chops. My grandma ate all 7 of her chops! That's how good they were. For dessert we had the tiramisu, tartufo and I had the creme brulee. It had an orange background flavor that was really good! Overall a great and relaxing experience. We'll be back!

This is the real deal: from the service to the food to the Spanish music on the sound system, this restaurant is Spanish to the core. We went after the theater and enjoyed a wonderful selection of tapas. The waiter recommended the lamb chuletas and they were wonderful. I asked for the bunuelos with ham serranon and it was just like being a kid and being in Spain again. Go.

Great little restaurant with authentic food. The quality is fantastic. I also liked the fact I was able to book via OpenTable because we were a group of 7.

The food was good but not great. Wine list very complimentary to the food offerings. Staff very pleasant.

Wasn't sure if we had made the right choice when arriving at Meson Sevilla. Decor was pretty dated. The place was packed which made me feel a bit better. We were shown to a table downstairs. The Tapas menu was extensive. The food was great. The service was excellent. Prices seemed quite reasonable for NYC. A few minutes walk to our theater.

This restaurant was recommended by our Uber driver. He was so right! There were four of us, Grandma, Mom, and two granddaughters. We did not have a reservation, but were greeted warmly and immediately given a table downstairs. Our server was so helpful and nice. And then the food....paella was superb! We wanted to lick the plates!

We were in city for weekend. We tried two tapas restaurants, this one topped our list. Service was wonderful. The tspas were delicious. They came out piping hot. Loved the lamb chops. Sangria was yummy. We highly recommend this place we would def go back. We booked reservations on open table and recommend thst you do. It was packed for dinner.

My wife and I, along with another couple, tried Meson Sevilla for the first time last Wednesday. We thoroughly enjoyed this place. The service was excellent, the prices reasonable, and the tapas superb. Friday morning our friends left to spend time with family. We were left to choose a place for dinner. We don't get to NYC that often and, with so many restaurants to choose from, it seemed silly to return to this one ... but we couldn't resist. We returned to this friendly spot to enjoy their delicious "paella for two" special. We're glad we did.

If you’ve ever seen Ratatouille, I felt like the reviewer in the movie. I had to hold my tears back...every season, flavor and spice took me back to my years in Spain with my parents when I was 7-9 years old. This place has no comparison, if it were up to me,I wouldn’t ever try another restaurant in my life...Oh and the Sangría is to die for.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who lived in NYC. She was spot on! We had a delightful meal just sampling several of their tapas - the shrimp was to die for and portion sizes were plenty. The servers were delightful as they corrected our pronunciation which made it even more enjoyable. It's located in Hell's Kitchen and it was a nice walk back to Times Square for digestion. I recommend you try it....

Very good service and food at a very reasonable price. The tapas are the best in New York city, and they have a great selection. Try the Galician octopus, the jamon croquettes and the portobello mushrooms! Yummy!!

We ordered their seafood paella special for two. It looks delicious but after we had good salads they served the paella and the seafood was dry and over cooked. The rice had very little flavor I don't think they used any saffron in it. I can't recommend this place.

Saw some negative (or sort-of negative) reviews, and was hesitant to choose this for dinner. They were wrong. The ambiance, service, and food couldn't have been better. And to top it off, we each had a glass of sangria. I HATE restaurant sangria; it's always watery and tastes like fruit punch. Not this! It was red wine all the way, with the touch of fruit that makes it sangria. And, just so you're forewarned, it packs a punch! We each had a shrimp dish, which came with veggies on the plate, as well as a large serving of rice to share. More than enough to keep us happy. Ended with rice pudding; don't know if that's really Spanish, but it was good. Definitely recommend!

Seating is tight but this is real foot with real flavor. Prices surprisingly reasonable. Come as t lea st a couple hours before the show to enjoy the ambiance

Went here for the 1st time for tapas last week before a play. It was surprisingly empty (6 PM on a Thurs). We ordered 5 tapas meals and they were very very good! Noticed by the time we left (7:30) it was starting to fill up. Service was excellent and everyone was great. I highly recommend this place.

Came back again when in NY city and very pleased again. This time we went for drinks and tapas. All really good and the service at the bar was excellent. A bit on the pricey side but you forget about it when you are having a good time. Great small quaint place

Locate in Restaurant road, with a very authentic menu has been around for almost 30 years. Chorizos and caldo gallego were really good but the paella did not reach my expectations. Overall service was good and on time.

Varied choices that we each enjoyed. Two people had the Valenciana paella with salad, one person had tapas- grilled lamp chops and artichokes; and another had the tri colori salad- mostly arugula with strips of radiccio and endive and a bowl of soup with potatoes, beans, chorizo and greens. Good sangria and service!

This is small but good place to have some spanish food. Excellent choice of food including seafood. Service was super. Food was prepared very good.

We recently had dinner at Meson Sevilla. We both had the seafood Paella which was very good. We were there on a busy Saturday night. It was crowded and frantic. Our server did a good job, but the our table was near the front door and bar. The general din made us not want to linger long! We finished, paid the check, and hit the road!

tried this restaurant on restaurant row for the price fixe dinner. actually ordered ala carte because it was a better deal. not very spanish at all. the food was a hodge podge of italian, continental, with a bit of spanish (paella). the staff was good. the food not so much. the sangria was too sweet. the prices were reasonable. i'd skip it....

Enjoyed tapa's here on two different night during our 10 day staff. Friendly staff. Good mixture of tapas and some nice specials. Good location-- if you are near Times Square,

Really love this hidden gem! So close to the huddle and huddle but hidden away! Lovely menu, delicious food, very attentive staff. The calamari was wonderful. Very central location in New York near to Times Square

We three friends enjoyed a pre-theater dinner, either the fixed price 3-course meal including salad or minestrone soup and grilled salmon entrees, which were tasty and the salmon was grilled perfectly. One had the penne pasta in vodka marinara sauce, a very well made dish. The service was high level.

My wife and I spent the day in the city and being that she is from Spain I felt we should stop in for some tapas. I don't know what the other reviewers ate but the tapas we ordered were very authentic. The service was excellent and friendly even before they found out she was from Spain. One of our servers along with others on the staff are from Spain as well so we spent a long time there talking. The atmosphere is intimate and authentic. I definitely will stop in for pulpo a la Gallega again.

Not only were we seated right away on a Saturday night, but our service was excellent and the food was delicious.

We had dinner with out of town friends on a Wednesday. It was a cozy place good for conversation. We started with a bottle of Tochuelo - light red and ordered several tapas. The gambas ajillo are very good. I also enjoyed the tortilla espanola and calamares tinta. We ended with tres leches and tiramisu and coffee. Nice enjoyable dinner with friendly staff.

We came here late Saturday evening. Located in the middle of restaurant row, it is easy to find. The atmosphere was quaint and clean. The Sangria was excellent, as were other drinks. We had an assortment of tapas, including meats, vegetables, and seafood. Everything was fantastic and the sauces were truly a treat. The service was also excellent. These may have been the best tapas we have had in the US. Very enjoyable.

As a big fan of Boqueria in NYC and Barcelona in CT, I decided to branch out and try a new restaurant after a recent Broadway show. I was disappointed in the food. We ordered tapas and they were brought out within 10 minutes, which I have never experienced at any tapas restaurant I've visited. The food was not flavorful and tasted like it had been sitting around. We couldn't even drink the sangria. Staff was friendly, music a bit loud and decor needs updating.

Went for dinner as near our hotel. Small restaurant felt was in someone living room. Tapas was delicious and plentiful. We had 6 between two of us which left just enough room for dessert Tapas were delicious Was very reasonably priced for restaurant row. Service was excellent and lovely charming atmosphere Would recommend

We had a group of seven for a late dinner. They set up a long table at the back for us. Service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious. Prices are super reasonable.

We went looking for a Spanish restaurant just to try the paella and this place did not disappoint. We enjoyed a traditional paella, two large salads, and Sangria-almost like our trip to Spain! The service was excellent.

I have been to Meson Sevilla many times. The tapas are delicious, especially the tortilla espanola. I usually have pasta and have never been disappointed. My niece is a vegetarian and she can always find something wonderful on the menu. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent.

It's difficult when visiting NYC to know where to eat at a reasonable price. A night at the theater and dinner can be very expensive but Restaurant Row is a good place to go. I chose Meson Sevilla by chance and felt like I won the lottery. The staff was warm and welcoming. They were very knowledgable about the vast menu , I think there was something for everyone. The food was fresh and made to order. The price was right, also. I would highly recommend Meson Sevilla on your next trip to New York City.

Always love having Spanish food and the food was good. Right in the middle of restaurant row a very crowded area. We had made reservations the week before however they did not have us down. Next time I'll confirm. But they sat us right away. It has two floors and the tables r very close together. I was afraid that we would not get great service downstairs but it was great. Water as soon as our glasses were emptied they did not rush us either which I was happy about. The food was plentiful. Served very hot. That is my favorite part about eating out being served hot food. We had a 8pm show and had dinner at 6. Waited a bit for our entree .bit it was worth the wait. Would definitely go back but would call and reconfirmed reservations. Also it was not too pricey .....

We went here for tapas while on a trip to NYC. It was fantastic!!! They had a huge selection of tapas, as well as plated meals. It was small and authentic with delicious food and desserts. I will go here every time I'm in New York from now on! The service was also excellent. This was one of my favorite things we did in NYC!

We booked Meson Sevilla for dinner before the Donna Summer show. We read great reviews and they weren’t not wrong. The food was great. They have normal dinner service plus tapas which we enjoyed cause we got to try several dishes. Mearballs, Pataras Bravas, garlic shrimp and more. All of it was excellent. We had their sangria, Tempranillo red wine, all great selections. The staff was outstanding. Service with a smile. Very polite. Small place. Not fancy. You can dress up or down. It’s very comfortable. Will visit again.

My friend and I shared a pitcher of Sangria, and the Seafood Paella which was very delicious . The staff is very friendly and aim to please. The prices were very reasonable. Went after we saw Moulin Rogue which by the way was just fabulous.

Good food and prices here and just steps away from Broadway. I't s not NY's best Spanish restaurant but is quite good and convenient

Restaurant is not even close to being an authentic Spanish restaurant. Food is ordinary at best. Upstairs dining is noisy. Downstairs dining is dungeon like. Service is fast because of people who need to make a show. That is the only redeeming value to this place. When the dinner special is chicken parmagiana and other Italian dishes it hardly rates as an authentic Spanish restaurant.

Ate here beacause near the theater district before a show. Nice atmosphere and service was attentive. However, my dinner was poor, a seafood paella. The fish was tough and either overcooked or been around too long. The dish had little flavor. My wife had a pasta dish which was average.

Nice, not amazing, with a few vegetarian choices....but the paella wasn't the greatest....just rice and vegetables really. We were in and out in about an hour, so it was really just somewhere for a quick bit of dinner.

We ventured in at a weird time - between lunch and dinner - so that could be part of the issue. A lack of hustle and bustle. We were looking for Spansh tapas. Nothing on the menu really grabbed us. We ordered crabmeat in sweet peppers and a lamb dish. Both were good. Atmosphere so-so. Music playing, which was nice. Plastic pitcher of sangria on the table - eh. Not on my return list.

My wife MaryAnn and I and a group of neighbors were in NYC to see the Wednesday matinee of "On Your Feet" but first we went for lunch at Meson Sevilla on west 46th street. They served a price fixed meal for $20.50 which included a glass of wine, sangria or soda. I don't remember everyone's lunch order but I had shrimp in garlic sauce with mixed vegetables. My wife had a veal dish served with a Spanish flare. They also gave our tables Spanish rice. Everyone's dinner was great, it was then topped off with desert and coffee. I highly recommend this establishment to everyone. Oh and by the way the play was fantastic!

Great tapas here. Eat downstairs for a more authentic Spanish experience. Try the the albondigas, or the little artichokes, patatas bravas ailioli, hamon serano & sangria. Those selections will fill you up & are reasonably priced. We enjoyed this place on restaurant row.

Our reservation was honored and a table was available immediately. We had the prix fixed menu which included an appetizer, entree, coffee/tea, dessert for $32.95. We decided to have Valencia paella which added $9.99pp. I had the mussels in tomatoe sauce and my wife had galecian soup (day's special). They both were delicious and plentiful. The paella was served to us in individual paella pans filled with shrimp, clams, mussels, chorizo, and chicken over a large bed of saffron rice. It came out piping hot and scrumptious!! All in all, a great meal and served in time for us to make our show up the block.

In my home area there are no Spanish restaurants so I come here each time I'm in NYC. If I come around 3PM, I can have a prix fixe lunch, which includes a glass of sangria, an appetizer, my favorite seafood paella, a glass of tea and a dessert for one very reasonable price. I leave happily stuffed and in no need of further food in the day, ready to attend theatre. The food is always delicious and the staff makes me feel at home. Meson Sevilla is terrific.

With so many restaurants on "Restaurant Row," I'd skip this one. One good thing: we were served quickly and had plenty of time to make our show. We were seated in a narrow, crowded area, although there were other tables available. A basket of stale, very ordinary white bread was not a propitious start. Two tapas--over-oily artichoke hearts and a pile of roasted pork cubes--did not impress. One portion of Valenciana paella was generous enough for sharing, but the flavors were bland, the rice lacking even a hint of saffron and too moist with no soccarat (crust). Tiny chorizo slices were sparsely distributed and too thin. Chicken pieces bony, squid tough. Creme brûlée was tasty, but decaf espresso was never delivered though it appeared on the bill. Fortunately the red sangria was awesome!

Nice little Spanish place. The Tapas spread is quite vast, the Shrimp & Serrano Ham were very tasty. Overall food is quite delicious. On the Paella, I would suggest sticking with the Seafood one. Do try the Sangria.

Made reservations for 4 here on a Sat evening before a Broadway show. Service was good. Hostess was nice and even checked on us mid meal. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks or food. Everything clean. We just weren't blown away by any of the food. Red sangria was good, paella was just OK. My daughter thought her garlic chicken was good. The croquettes were good. The other 2 meals were OK. We tried 3 desserts; flan, rice pudding, and their version of creme brulee. The rice pudding was good but the other two were not that great I felt. Just not as flavorful as I have had elsewhere. This just goes down as an average for me. Maybe 3.5 stars.

This establishment is my favorite in the whole city! The tapas are amazing, and so is the service and management.

Service was actually pretty good and we didn't feel pressured to eat fast or order expensive things. The food was just okay. I tried three different tapa plates: A marinated pork, beef empanadas, and crab cakes. The crab cakes were really good, but the others weren't anything special. The family next to us was very surprised and upset because they were being charged for every little glass of soda that their kids drank. In other words, no free refills, and prices for those drinks aren't listed on the menu.

It had been over ten years since we had dined at Meson Sevilla and we were so pleased that it was just as wonderful as we remembered it! This was our kids' first visit to Meson Sevilla and they loved it too! You will not be disappointed! Super close to Times Square and all the theaters too.

Lovely menu, delicious food, very attentive staff. The calamari was wonderful. Very central location in New York near to Times Square

This place is very very tiny, you're sitting so close to the other table you can take your fork and reach over and grab their food. But after 5 mins the clausophobia settles and the aroma of the food distract you!! We had a very romantic dinner and I could tell the older couple next to us enjoyed our conversation lol. All good! The waiter was awesome and attentive as well. Then the food came and OMG yummy yummy yummy! There was a party in my tummy!! So good!! I'm glad we decided to eat here! We didn't have a rsvp and the place was packed but we were seated immediately. That's a pic of my very very happy food lover husband. We had the appetizer sampler and it was soooo good. Then I ordered my main dish as well.

This was our first visit to a Spanish restaurant. Four tapas along with the restaurant's excellent bread made just the right size meal for two people. The waiters were very attentive and the food arrived quickly. We enjoyed the empanadillas de carne, setas rellenas, patatas bravas, and ruedas del solomillo a la plancha. We hope to return the next time we visit New York.

As we travel to Europe because our family lives in spain, this restaurant did NOT disappoint. We are always excited because we live in California and not many truly spanish as they state. I had the BEST Paella and the Sangria was wonderful!. The service was exceptional and we will return again.

Nice Tapas restaurant in "Restaurant Row" NY. Pleasant, good service nice varied selection. Best with 4 or more people, more variety to share.

Very unfriendly staff kept trying to push us around a small space because our table was not ready when we arrived on time. The food was very inconsistent. Appetizer was very good and main course was poor. Generally the service was poor.

We were attracted to this Spanish restaurant by the offer of paella for 2 and were so pleased we made the decision. It was the last night of our holiday and we wanted somewhere to talk and to linger a little over our meal. We struck gold here. The restaurant had about another 10 people in it and there was very quiet music playing in the background - we could talk and hear each other easily. The seafood paella was excellent and not a scrap was left. I then had a crema Catalan and my friend a chocolate mousse cake and both were good. As our last night we had a champagne margarita and that too was excellent. Highly recommended for a place to talk and enjoy great food.

A short walk from the theaters on Broadway, this authentic Spanish restaurant is fabulous! The chorizo is heavenly, as well as the Mariscada (seafood dish without rice), and they give you plenty of food! The menu has a nice variety, surely to please all!

We stopped while walking by and decided to order. The wait staff struggled to communicate, they offered only 1 salad dressing. No meal came with a salad and when ordering a salad it was essentially just lettuce. My diet soda was literally a swallow of soda and wasn't cheap. We won't visit again.

We stopped at Meson Sevilla for lunch the other day. They have a prix fixe for $25. We had a glass of sangria, green salad, seafood paella, and flan all included in the $25. It was a great value and the food was very good. Our server was from Madrid and was very friendly.

A small place a block from TImes Square with very friendly staff and an excellent choice of Tapas and regular menu items. We had some of their Tapas - 6 between two of us was more than enough for a main meal: portions are definitely American not the morsels found on a bar in Madrid. The quality was excellent,I particularly liked the clams in brandy. The prawns were suitably garlicky, some artichokes were also full flavoured and did not stint on garlic either. The sardines were huge and also very tasty. A good wine selection too - that is well priced: we had one of their Riojas which was excellent. All in all a great find, one of the best Spanish meals I've had outside Spain and very reasonably priced for somewhere so central in New York.

We went in the morning to book as we knew it would get busy. Turned up on time, no table available, told to come back in 20 mins. Did that, still no table. Staff dismissive, no apology given. Guy behind the bar rude.Tired and hungry from a day walking NY, we went elsewhere.

Excellent food and service. Attention to detail, responsive to requests....all in all an excellent evening of Spanish dining. I had the muscles in red sauce and asked for it to be spicy and it was perfect. All four of us at our table were pleased. And it's difficult to please four adults! I highly recommend it.

Before seeing a B'way show, we walked around restaurant row. We were prompted to go in and were told if we didn't like the meal it would be free & we would give us a free drink. We paid, gladly! My daughter and I shared 4 tapas. Each of them delicious. My husband and daughter started with soup. Also, delicious. A small pitcher of sangria ($28) was filled with lemons, blueberries & raspberries which was one of the best they've ever had. The meal was nicely paced. My husband devoured his two pork chops which were smothered in vegetables. We were too full from our meal but were pleasantly surprised when we received that after dinner drink!

Hit this place around 6pm without a reservation and we were quickly seated anyway. Their red sangria is really tasty. My wife and I did 5 different hot tapas, including their garlic shrimp, beef empanadas, portobello mushrooms, fried squid, and grilled sardines - every one was done perfectly and tasted great. Service was very attentive and we were very pleased with the bill at the end - modest, to say the least, for a Hell's Kitchen establishment like this. Another evening, we just sat at the bar and enjoyed the sangria again. If you like Spanish treats, this place is worth a try.

I came here on a business trip and had a tremendous lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed the three course lunch. I had fresh bread and butter, a tasty salad, seafood paella with calamari, clams, mussels and shrimp, and a delicious flan all for $21.

My daughter and I had dinner at Mason Sevilla before going to the theater. The food was very good- a wide variety of tapas and entrees-. they offer a prix fix menu also-so that everyone will be satisfied-The staff was very attentive--Prices are reasonable-We will be back

Went for lunch before Sunday matinee. The service was friendly but food took a long time to come out. The waiter took a long time to get our order. The food was tasty but my portion of veal was small. For these prices you can get more and better food elsewhere on Restaurant Row or in New York.

We've been coming to Meson Sevilla for 3+ years and it never disappoints. We visited here on Dec 12 and 13th, 2017 for dinner. I love their paella Valenciana, and I always get it once while we're in town. The second night I had the broiled sole and both dishes were delicious. It's on Restaurant Row, and it may be the quietest place there. Relatively speaking, it's not that expensive, for instance what we paid for two dinners for the two of us would not even buy you a bottle of wine at some restaurants in NYC. So if you're looking for something a little adventurous, try the Meson Sevilla and be prepared to enjoy yourself.

Sat outside in the early evening and had a glass of wine with tapas. Food was lovely, an interesting selection of good mostly Spanish wines and friendly helpful staff. Definitely recommended, although there is only one table outside.

This restaurant was recommend to us as a good authentic Spanish place to eat. We were not disappointed. The seafood paella was excellent, and a very good price that evening. Service was also very good. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience for two visitors to New York. Recommended!

The service was not great. The tortilla was very dry, and the gambas al ajillo seemed to have too much flour to make the sauce thick. Very limited dinner menu available that night.

we had no reservations but the manager sat us we did have to sit downstairs in kind of tight quarters but service was nice and food was good too

Visited this restaurant on 12-27-15 around 6pm. The space is small and cramp with waiters scurrying about the post and pre-theatre crowds. To their credit they did accommodate us without an appointment but we would have been better served if they didn't. The Paella was disappointing. It came in an open oven dish which doesn't allow the rice to absorb the flavors of the seafood the way a covered casserole does. The shrimp were small and not deveined The chorizo was very thin and few to be found. They included calamari rings which were under cooked and very chewy. My wife had the Mariscada in green sauce which came on a flat dish instead of a casserole. The seafood consisted mostly of muscles with few oysters and tiny shrimp, no scallops or lobster. The price for both of these entrees was $26.00 each! Needless to say we left unsatisfied and poorer for the experience.

We went in for dinner tonight, and ordered cocktails to start, starter, main course and a good bottle of wine. Because we were both having Paella, the waiter insisted that we share a bowl. We said we wanted our own plates if possible as the table was too small for water, wine, bread and plates of food as it is, let alone a large paella pan. He told us that as we were both having the same thing, we had to share. Despite being mostly empty, he didn’t offer to resolve our concern about the ridiculous table by moving us to somewhere more spacious. I admit, we tend to go a bit large when we eat out, and the tiny tables in some restaurants simply isn’t enough when you have cocktails, a bottle of wine etc. Anyway, He was wrong. We did not have to share at all. We left and went to a Fantastic French Restaurant three doors down, where we spent over $300. It is our one criticism of Hell’s Kitchen, some of the waiters have a tendency to think they are more important than the customer, but we actually proved that our money is most important. Without customers, your restaurant will go bust. It wasn’t busy as it was, and another couple about to come in hearing that we were leaving in disgust, also walked away. He probably cost his restaurant $500 in lost earnings tonight. Good work Pedro.

Service was great. Our white sangría was very good as we knew to ask for a shot of brandy in it. Food was good but nothing special.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Price fix did not feel like the cheap scraps rather it felt like authentic home style food! Excellent staff and great portions. We have travelled to NYC 5 times and this was a very authentic cheap meal!

This Spanish restaurant also serves some Italian dishes. The wine list included some nice tempranillo wines. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals.

Went to Meson Sevilla last night before seeing a show. The place has a cute ambiance inside, unfortunately they really need to work on their service. We arrived early at 5:10pm for our reservation (which was 5:30pm) and were seated right away, which was great... We figured this would give us some time to walk around a bit before our 8pm show. Unfortunately, our waiter evidently had other plans for us as we didn't walk out of there until almost 7:20pm. The food was good, unfortunately it took about 30 minutes for us to get our salad and then about 20 seconds after they put our salad down, our entrees arrived... Not a huge deal, but not how I would have preferred it. When we finished, the waiter came over and asked if he could clear the table and if we wanted anything else... We said no and asked if he could bring us the check. And there we sat... And sat.... As we watched our waiter going to other tables and getting things for other, now rushed, patrons who also needed to get out of the restaurant. Finally I grabbed him as he walked by and asked if we could get the check (thought maybe he didn't hear me the first time)... It was still another 5 minutes before he went to get it... Very strange. Over 2 hours during pre show time in the Theater District is a bit much. There were other people who were obviously upset with the service as well.... Heard one table asking where their wine was that they had ordered when they first came in... Another also looking for their check. Meson Sevilla has good food, but they really need to get on the ball service-wise. Note: The tables I mentioned who had issues all had the same waiter (young guy who needs to smile a bit more)... Not sure how the service was for the other diners with different waiters. If I return, it would have to be on a night I don't have show tickets, or post show... But that's a big IF.

We met a friend here recently and each of us had something different on the menu. I had the stuffed mushroom appetizer and it was amazing. My friend had a fish dish that had lots of different fish and clams and she loved them. My wife had the alfredo and said it was very good. We all had dessert, because their service was so good, and it was outstanding as well.

Top tapas restaurant on Restaurant Row. The food is lovely, flavorful and the environment is warm and comfy. Good pre-theater option.

We have been here twice and have had a good experience both times. There were several good red wines and the red sangria was quite good. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt, especially important when you are trying to make a show. We have not had a full dinner but experimented with the tapas, all good. While an acquired taste and I did not see on the online menu, the Callos were excellent. Great in Spain and hard to find in the U.S. We would recommend this as a very nice pre show location.

I enjoyed my food, and my friend enjoyed her paella but I thought the food was overpriced for its taste. I had excellent tapas recently in Tampa, and my hopes were perhaps too high. But in general it was worth a stop.

Based on all of the glowing reviews we selected this restaurant before we went to see our play. We sat downstairs which was quieter but the tables were really close together. In fact, our table was at the base of the stairwell, which was awkward. The service was not good. When I asked the waiter to come back in two minutes because we weren't ready, he disappeared for 10 minutes, and even when he appeared we had a flag him down. He was surly and had no personality. The tapis plates were better than the entrées. In particular I had the Chicken Parmesan, and it was terrible. The chicken was a large chicken patty that had minced chicken in it. The sauce tasted like it came directly from a can. Very disappointing. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Good food in a traditional atmosphere. Decor a bit dated but comfortable. Not pretentious at all. Staff helpful and well priced food. Close to Times Square in restaurant row

Sangria was so strong with alcohol, we had many times in Spain, we stop for lunch before the theatre, and asked for small jar and some food, we were so sick when we left the place I actually puke we never made it to the theater, totally disgusting, and so pricey, we should of give it back but he was busy and never came to ask how are we doing.

We were here in April 2016 and we loved it. How wonderful to find out that it’s still as good. So good that we had dinner Friday night and lunch Xmas Day (Monday). Excellent Rioja and very delicious tapas. Everything is recommended.

Nice tapas, good service. Location is nice too. Ordered tapas with 5 courses, and it was more than enough. Restaurant seemed full, but they had a big room downstairs too.

We came here for lunch before attending a show. The service was perfect. There was plenty to choose from on the tapas menu. We thought the sauces were wonderful. If you like sangria, you must try their rasberry-lemoncello variety. It was one of the best I ever had. The dipping oil for your bread had a super flavor. We also had the portobella mushroom with balsamic sauce that was extremely flavorful. I will definitely return when I come back to NYC.

A few blocks off the bright lights and hustle and bustle. Good attentive service with many menu options. Sangria was great with lots of fruit flavors. Our seafood paella was OK and well made.

This is the first place I run to when I am off the plane and ready for lunch. Outstanding food/menu at a good price point. I am never disappointed.

The wait staff are warm and friendly. The food was uneven. The house salads were equivalent to a so-so diner. The vegetables served with salmon and other entrees were cold in the middle. The waiter never switched them out and microwaved one plate. They were overdone and tasted like they had been frozen. The salmon was good and the Spanish cod dish was rated very good. The vegetable paella was good but not great and the pasta dishes were okay. It was very busy. The deserts seemed to come from frozen section; the chocolate mousse cake did not taste too choclately while the flan was average. So for a nearby Broadway Play venue with decent prices and low expectations, it is good choice. Perhaps the other entrees were better.

On W46 street, a street that is full of world class restaurants, Meson Sevilla caught our attention and certainly turned to be an completely awesome dinner. All the tapas dishes were delicious. The Seafood Paella is a must try. The seafood they choose were super fresh and the flavor of each dishes were unique and awesome! It’s perfect!

This restaurant provided a great place for casual conversation and good food. The atmosphere added to the experience. Never once did u feel rushed.

Great food, excellent service and good value for money. The servings are generous so don't over order. We had beef empanadas as entree and lamb shanks to share. Lamb shanks are served with rice and side dish of fresh veggies too, included in the price. Some nice Spanish beers on the menu too.

My wife and I went here after reading some good reviews. We had the lunch price fix menu and it did not disappoint. We started with the Spanish vegetable soup and it was amazing. The flavours were amazing and very unique. I then had a seafood and rice dish and my wife the shrimp in green sauce. Both were extremely good , very fresh with generous portions. The service was also excellent!!!! Definitely recommend this one!!

Meson Sevilla was recommended by friends. We selected a Spanish wine that we thoroughly enjoyed although it was not the cheapest at $38.00. We enjoyed a number of tapas including garlic shrimp and stuffed mushrooms. We selected the paella with chicken and sausage which was good although the chicken had little bones in it.

We taste the Paella Valenciana and it was delicious, very good size and well presented. The place is small but the service is good and they try to attend you on the best way possible.

We visited Meson Sevilla recently after attending a show on 45th Street. Just a short walk from the theater on Restaurant Row. We were promptly seated. S it was still a little early for dinner, the restaurant did not begin to fill up until were were done with our meals around 6pm. Their menu offers a lot of choices for those who love Spanish food. There were also lots of choices for those who like Italian as well. Their prices are reasonable and they have an extensive tapas menu. They have the best paella around, both seafood and vegetable versions.

We were visiting NY this week and walked by this restaurant . Everything was very tasty the appetizers were wonderful , we tried the Jamón Iberico , sooo tasty and then the Pulpo a la Gallega (octopus) it was spectacular ! Then we decided to go for the Paella a la Valenciana , great choice ! It was delicious . Desserts were also very, very good . Oh and don’t forget to order Sangria as your drink to accompany your meal. The best part is the prices are very reasonable

My friends and I went to Spain last year and were hoping to repeat our dining experiences. This place in Spain probably wouldn't do so well. For New York, I think it was very good but really did not mirror the types of seasonings we were remembering from our trip. We had an 8pm show to see and arrived at 10 after 5 and were seated right away but soon after, the place did fill up. As for our waiter, young, cute but joked at us for the amount of tapas we ordered. Tactless. Not sure it is worth us ever coming back as we are and hour away. Overall, we did have a good time and yes we had leftovers the next day.

We visited this restaurant for a pre-theatre dinner. We really enjoyed our dinner of paella and some other tapas including the octopus and the meatballs. The sangria was delicious! Unfortunately, our table was not ready at the time of our reservation and was not ready for at least 20 minutes after so we felt a little rushed to get to our show. This restaurant is small and family owned so is best to get there early. We would definitely go back!

Love this place! True Spanish dishes, soooo flavorful. I no longer live in NYC, but I am there on every visit back!

We never leave NYC without a visit to Mesón Sevilla for their excellent "Paella Valenciana". Even without the 'socarrat' (golden rice stuck to the botton) that only 'valencianos' can produce without consequences, their paella has all the sea fruits needed plus chicken and chorizo, all the necessary veggies and a great rice. In paella the rice absorbs all the flavors and, if well done, the rice is celestial. We eat paella from the 'paella' (where it is cooked) not from a plate, to keep it warm all the time. We have it with a good bottle of Spanish wine from Brezo and leave some space for the "Tarta de Santiago" a Galician cake made with powered almonds, bearing the Santiago Cross as national decoration in powdered sugar. The boys are very nice (they are from Mexico) and the place is agreeable. They also offer 'tapas' and other Spanish dishes but we love paella above any other. Give it a try.

Ok, but not great. Having lived in Spain for quite a few years, I can say with some confidence that this place is at best average and not very adventurous menu-wise. We ordered pinchos to start and mariscada al ajillo. The latter was pretty decnt, albeit heavy on mussels vs other shellfish. The accompanying rice was flat, lacking salt (soso in Spanish), as were the vegetables, which were al dente, yet remarkably tasteless. The service was good and the prices not too crazy, but I doubt we'd go back.

My mom and I went to this restaurant after seeing a show. We got the Caesar salad, paella and the mariscada. Honestly the best part about our meal was that the bread was warm. The Caesar salad was subpar- dressing didn't taste made fresh and there were a few dinky croutons that probably weren't restaurant made either. My paella was dry and the fish was chewy. My mom's mariscada had a decent sauce. No one checked to see what we thought of our meals until after we decided not to eat anymore. I wasn't full but I didn't feel like wasting my appetite on that paella. When he asked how our meals were and I told him that my meal didn't taste fresh and that the seafood was dry the waiter really had no response at all. Honestly this was one of the worst meals that I have eaten in the city. I was super disappointed since I expect the best when in New York because there are so many GREAT places. I don't know if it was a bad night for the restaurant or what but I would not recommend it.

The food here was excellent. We had a skirt steak that was tender and tasty as any I have eaten. We also had the rack of lamb which was plentiful and tender. The price is right here and the wait staff very helpful.

Our friends who live in New Jersey recommended this restaurant because they like Spanish food. We like it too but we didn't particularly like this restaurant. Nothing was REALLY good. The tapas were average, as was the paella. The wine list did not excite me, nor did the surroundings. The service wasn't all that good either. On the other hand, nothing was bad. It was all very ordinary. If you like Spanish food, try it for a quick pre or post theatre meal. It is certainly not for special occasions.

Went here for dinner after seeing Hugh Jackman in The River. Ask to be seated downstairs. Our waiter Javier was exceptional with his suggestions for our tapas. 5 tapas served 2 adults. We had grilled octopus, Spanish sausage in wine sauce, crab stuffed mushrooms all which were done to perfection in addition to asparagus and shrimp in garlic. Highly suggest the champagne sangria.

I reserve the top rating for something really special and this place is really special. Only in Spain did I have tapas as good. Very reasonably priced as well. The wine is also reasonably priced. It was snowing outside so a bottle of Rioja went down very well. Well done guys. We shall return.

We were a small group of 3. One ordered the prix fixe and the other two shared tapas. We had one glass of Sangria and one glass of wine--the total dinner was under $100! We never felt rushed, the food was very good, and the service was wonderful. The owner kept checking on us and in typical Spanish restaurant fashion, the bill wasn't rushed either. I will definitely be back! and have already recommended this to friends.

On the recommendation of a friend, I brought a group of people here after a meeting in midtown Manhattan. It was only a 15 minute walk from the office and even less from the theater district. It is an unpretentious place inside and out, but don't let that turn you away. The first half of our party was seated immediately upon arrival; the second half got stuck in traffic and arrived 40 minutes later. I expected some grumbling from the staff, but they were very gracious. Once everyone arrived, our order was taken promptly. Water glasses were refilled frequently. Everyone enjoyed their meals very much. I ordered the baccalao, which was very tasty. The portions were quite generous. The wine list is more than adequate. My only complaint was that a group of music students came in to play and sing Spanish songs for about 30 minutes. The music was nice, but much too loud for such a small space. Fortunately, they eventually moved to another restaurant down the street.

Some reasonably priced tapas to share. Nothing exceptional, just basic but reasonably priced, ok plates of Tapas. Service was good, staff friendly, atmosphere ok....but wouldn't rush bask.

Six of us are here one evening. Of all the places we are in Manhattan, this was my favorite! This is a charming restaurant with very dear servers who are quite attentive. The entree's came steaming hot and delicious and very nicely presented. KUDOS to this establishment.

It was every nice the food was what you would want from a Spanish place it was nice and quiet the night we where their the sangra was quite nice not to strong

The food here is generally good. There are a wide selection of dishes -- not all are Spanish. Service is efficient. No notable dishes. The setting is a bit tattered. Could use with an update.

Was here for lunch and even the very reasonably priced specials were just wonderful. Service was the old fashioned kind with the waiter politely waiting just a few feet from the table in case you needed anything. Never had to wonder what happened to him. Been a while on that one. Freshly made, great food, interesting ambiance. This will make it to our list of places to go back to when we return.

Excellent food, friendly service and very good music. Feeling like in Barcelona, with all the paella choices.

This was an unexpected post theatre home run. Although not far from the Theatre District, the food and service were top notch. My wife, who lived in Spain for a year during college, felt like she was there again. Great place.

This place is not fancy, but the food is very good and the service is also very good. It’s a good pre-theater choice. They also can accommodate large groups of people.

We visited on a quiet Tuesday evening and were delighted with our choice in dining. The waiters were fantastic and advised us on menu choices. We were not disappointed. The seafood paella was outstanding! Easily feeds 2 and was so flavorful! Our other choices were just as delicious and the flan was perfect! Our waiter brought us two complimentary cordials to end our evening. Cannot wait to come back again and sample more items on the menu.

We had a fantastic experience here, we are quite fussy eaters so it was great to find a place we enjoyed. The sangria was great and we had a set meal which was lovely. The interior is beautiful and well decorated with friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit and reasonably priced too.

Located on West 46th Street a/k/a restaurant row it was a very short walk to the restaurant after our matinee. The place is cozy with a bar on the right and tables in the room to the left. The tables were a little too close together. The service was wonderful as was the food. We started with garlic shrimp - small portion but. Very tasty. I had the salmon while my friends had lemon chicken, filet mignon and filet of sole. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. For dessert we had chocolate mousse cake (I loved it) and New York cheesecake. We all enjoyed the fruity, delicious red sangria. Very reasonable prices! Reservations recommended.

Prix fixed lunch. Good value for the meal. A little loud so it was hard to have a conversation. All women in the restaurant and only men at the bar!

This used to be an outstanding Spanish restaurant. Recently, sadly, the food was bland and seemingly just going through the motions. The Sangria, however, was outstanding. Although I've been coming here for years, I doubt I'll return.

Loving tapas, this spot looked appealing. We made an Open Table reservation, noting my husband's egg/mayonnaise allergy and our anniversary. We arrived and were seated immediately (good) but when we informed them of the reservation they seemed not to care. One crab-pepper dish was made with mayonnaise, which we didn't find out about until we asked - so my husband was short a dish, and could have had health issues regarding. Sangria and martini was good. Service was a tad spotty. Just OK. Would not return.

We enjoyed our meal here before going to the theater. It is convenient, but the food is delicious. There are so many choices! We started with some small plates (tapas) and then split a meal. It was perfect. We also had a pitcher of Sangria that was just like what I have had in Spain. We will definitely visit here again.

We were looking for great authentic paella but it is disappointing. The paella lacks flavour and I can't taste saffron. Seafood in there is mediocre. The sangria is ok but lacks fruit. The best is their tapas l as we tried chorizo and potatoes.

Fantastic restaurant. Adolfo, the owner, its a really friendly man, the staff is very nice and the food it's mouthwatering!!!

My niece and I had dinner here on our last night in NYC on the advice of a friend. Although we had a little wait (it was only 3 days after Christmas), the staff attempted to seat us quickly. I started off with the raspberry limoncello sangria. Perhaps the best I have ever had. Lots of fresh raspberries. My eggplant roll atone was delicious and my niece loved her baked rigatoni. Definitely goes on my list of NYC restaurants to return when I visit again.

Enjoyed our 3 excellent Sevillan tapas ('pulpo a la Gallega', 'patatas bravas' y 'solomillo' = octopus, spicy potatoes, steak) plus a tasty flan for dessert, and delicious Protos wine; a true 'post-theatre' treat (they serve 'til 11). Our friendly, efficient Spanish servers added to our enjoyment (Gracias, 'Diego'). Highly recommend booking ahead :-)

Had an early dinner before our show, the service was very efficient and quick. Everything was very authentic and tasty. Great paella and tapas.

We visited this restaurant last year and returned this year. We love their red sangria and their Tapas. We had the fried calamari, portobello mushroom, filet mignonette, and pork chunk Tapas and they were all excellent. Highly recommend it.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our dinner here. We ordered several tapas and all were very nice. The service was outstanding.

Located on restaurant row on West 46th Street, Meson Sevilla has been around for a long time. We went for dinner last night, no reservation necessary, and were promptly seated. Our order of a large white Sangria came over right away. We weren't forced or pushed to order, even though they were finishing up with their pre theatre crowd. Service could not have been friendlier or more efficient. We had 2 fine appetizers, (stuffed mushrooms and crab cakes), one paella valenciana and one Bacalao with seafood. Both were outstanding and generously proportioned. My dish came with a side of vegetables and another of rice. Everything was delicious, and try as we might, we could not finish it all. We finished off with another half carafe of white sangria and one desert of flan. I've been coming to this place for years now, and it is consistently one of the best restaurants in the city. They have Italian as well as Spanish items on the menu, but for me Spanish food is always a treat, so I haven't tried any of the Italian offerings. If you enjoy Spanish food this is the place to come. May I also point out that I find the pricing rather moderate, not at all pricey, considering what you are getting and how you are being taken care of. Excellent + Highly recommended..

We had tickets to a Broadway Show and we were looking for a place to have dinner. As usual I went on “The Open Table App and found Meson Sevilla. They have a dinner Special that’s a little over $30.00. My Wife had the Salmon, I can’t remember what I ordered.

We were a couple of friends who ate tapas together. Some of the plates were good and some were a bit bland. The service was good and friendly. The sangria was good and the food was overall alright.

On our recent stay in New York, this restaurant was close to our hotel. We enjoyed our dinner so much the first time we went back. If you enjoy Spanish cuisine this is a very good choice. The service was very good and for New York the prices are reasonable. The paella was a winner. On our first visit we shared various tapa dishes and they were very good as well.

First time with friends at this restaurant in Times Square area (and I am a native New Yorker). We all ordered the Paella, and were not disappointed. The seafood was fresh and plentiful, and the rice was done to perfection. All in all, good service even though it was busy. Do expect "midtown" prices though.

Good food at reasonable price in NYC. Service warm and welcoming. Wide range of tapas and mains accompanied by rice and vegetables. Friendly staff. Open late good for after theatre meal !!

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and brought many friends there. However, yesterday was a disappointment. Service was very spotty. Food was bland and my friend never received his rice and vegetables. When I told our waiter, he said, "Well that happens" and walked away. No offer was made by our waiter or management, who never even came over to apologize. We had to ask for the check 4 times! Totally unacceptable. Also, has become very pricey. Not sure what is going on there but they are going to lose a lot more customers if this keeps up. It used to be such a good restaurant.

Picked from a list for pre-theater meal. It will now be a valuable resource for us. Conveniently located near broadway theatres, it officers Spanish ( not Mexican or other variants) food. Ranges from tapas to full course meals. Everything is tasty. The staff is cheerful, friendly and attentive: water glass is rarely empty, wine glasses refilled, and they come by to ask your opinion after you have had a chance to work your food ( some places do an insincere “how was everything?” Almost as soon as it is served) They neither delay nor rush. Portions are satisfying. Good dessert choices Arriba!!

Me and my wife had a delightful evening dinner! I had a Paella Valenciana and she had a salmon! We ate olives and mushrooms as appetizers! The service is 5 Stars and the food was served quickly! Highly recommend!!!

We saw this little Spanish tapas restaurant during our NYC holiday visit last year and made a point to try it during this year's Christmas visit. Glad we remembered! The tapas selection was extensive and generally outstanding. We had: octopus vinegrette, anchovies vinegrette, bread with tomato and Serrano ham, grilled asparagus, spanish meatballs, shrimp in garlic and olive oil, bacalao (salt cod) croquettes, squid in ink; and finished off with their seafood paella (with clams, mussels, squid, and shrimp). We were shooting for our version of the "Seven Fishes" on this Christmas Eve and were happy to hit the mark! A particular call-out to the squid in ink and the paella - the squid was so tender and such an umami flavor with the inky sauce; and the seafood paella had just the right amount of saffron and caramelized rice around the pan edges to make a crunchy delight that we and the kids fought over. For dessert we shared the tres leches, chocolate mousse cake, and almond tart - all three were excellent, in particular, the almond tart. The restaurant itself is an intimate little space, quiet, and romantic. Seating is a little on the tight side, as expected for the theater district, but overall a pleasant dining experience. Wait-staff was very attentive and welcoming.

We had an excellent dinner at Meson. We choose from the tapas menu and enjoyed a nice sangria. The food tasted really good and the staff was friendly. We got a complimentary digestive and the restaurant was fairly inexpensive considering the location. It was a bit of a time capsule, the dining room could use an update. If they did combined with their amazing food, the restaurant would be packed every night.

This restaurant was convenient and close to our hotel so we dined there as a family of four on 16th September the tapas were ok however we waited 45 mins -1hr for our paella and it was very bland and missing part of the ingredients listed in the menu. When I alerted them to it they offered to take $2 off the meal as that would have been the cost of the ingredients that were omitted from the meal and no apology???? It was also way overpriced and we were very disappointed and regret dining there, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Walking around we found this quaint restaurant with excellent food with fair prices. The service was also excellent.

We arrived on a busy Monday evening. The food was exceptionally good and authentic. We had tapas. The service was friendly and competent

Stay away - there was nothing authentic about the food or the ambience; was also expensive. We returned most of our meal untouched and the waiter never even so much as asked if there was a problem.

This restaurant is simply not good ... Food not fresh, the waiters were not sympathic To be honest just close, you have a sushi restaurant, I recommand it !

This restaurant gets super doooper busy so make sure you make reservations way ahead of time. The veal with ham on it was very good. The lamb shanks were very good too. I give it a 4 star only because the potato chips weren’t as good . Would love to come back to try the paella cause it looked so good.

Some of THE best vodka sauce & lasagna ever!!!! Fast service & cozy place to dine in a rainy day. Will definitely return on next trip to NYC!!!

Selected this restaurant for our last night, really is a touch of Spain. For NYC not that expensive. One has all the usual Spanish dishes but twice the size!! that includes the tapas. Service very good, food excellent & lot's of it. Good wine list & a very chilled atmosphere. Recommended & will visit again.

In this place , your time of stay is not pressured. Efficient and aggressive servers. Fine ambiance . Nice for short and long talks while waiting for your food and dining as well . Appetisers pre ordered for the group were nice. Chorizo sausage , grilled mushroom and squid calamari are good. Then the seafood paella and pork chop are served. Not the best paella for me but I think it will suffice . Pork chop has a more chewy feel but servings are huge.

Cozy little spot on Restaurant Row with average NYC prices. A friend and I enjoyed the tapas of aceitunas, tabla de embutidos and mejillones al tomate. Along with a pitcher of sangria it was the perfect meal before a matinee.
All veg tapas - nicely done
We did a pre-show dinner here - with all vegeterian tapas. I was surprised to find quite a few items here for vegeterians and enjoyed all of those. Fast service! Paella was not very special - hence the 4 stars. But overall, good vibe! Restaurant is a bit cramped but then again, this is New York - so nothing to complain about! A good restaurant row find.
